This phone has good battery life.. will get around 12 hrs even if we use Internet. But very poor storage space. As many of the apps can't be transferred to memory card it is creating much problem. Camera is very very poor...sometimes it get hanged ultimately better don't go for this tab.

Honestly saying this tab is not for gaming. If you want a tab or big screen than you may consider Mi Max 2 which has more powerful processor, RAM/ROM and battery. As for this tab, with 1.5 GB RAM and 8 GB ROM; It is best for multimedia and social networking like my father uses. Regards.

If you use SHAREIT app make sure to close it by using back button. I noticed that when you exit it via HOME button and cleared it in Recent apps, the Wifi will be left open. Same goes if you are the one receiving, the tethering is left open.

Iam using this tab from 6 months many people say it has low inbuilt memory its true the solution to this is install a memory card in this tab and transfer all apps whichever possible to sd card like this way i have installed many apps and never faced shortage of memory and secondly always keep clearing its cache in settings-storage and always keep at least 600mb memory free of internal to let it perform with no lagging problems Iam enjoying this tab especially gaming is awesome in big screen infact this is the best gadget i ever had if u have this tab u r really lucky it also recieves regular updates from sam uncle ie samsung thanks for reading till end chao.

Don't Buy this Tablet you will regret it. Most bad part is the internal memory. It is so pathetic Its internal memory is 8 gb but after system occupies the half you will get around less than 3 gb to install apps just installs 1 game with a data file your memory is full. Why on earth Samsung make such products ? Rest of the configuration is descent but they just did not cared to give some extra internal memory. You may be wondering about rooting but none of the procedures or application available in the internet can route this phone right now. Maybe marshmallow has the option to use sd card as internal storage but this device runs with lollipop 5.1.1. and the most pathetic part is there is no good firmware support or updatable firmware available for this model even in samsung official firmware site.

l have been using it for 7 months...i want to tell u something is that it has low wifi range as compare to my old nokia wifi..so i faced problem of disconnection again nd again when i do video calling or wathing youtube whenever i was far from router but my nokia got the signal little bit more than this,,so dont go to far from ur router and forget the disconnection problem...(j max)

It is nice to see a person from Manipur as I am also from Assam. Anyway J Max supports 4g network including LTE or JIO SIM. But if your area has week network connectivity than the device will suffer. Alternatively you can use BSNL SIM if it has better service. Overall I will suggest you should use 2 SIMs. One to calling and other (from the best service provider) go data network. Regards.

I don't think it will get Marshmellow update officially. But you can root it and get custom Marshmellow ROM if you are lucky. But again rooting will break the warranty and custom Rom may have its own issues. I will advice you not to get marshemllow on it. In stead use it for few more months and buy a new tab with Android 7. I have one J Max also, but never have any touch issues. I think your screen is not original, it is duplicate piece. You should immediately visit A samsung centre to make sure your device is authentic one.

hello everyone, i had brought this j max in sep 16.it is a good tab with two sim and highly expandable memory jack capacity..but annoying me is, its touchscreen i dont which type of screen samsung made but it is poor in sensitivity and when i upgarade its software i notice that wifi get disconnect and reconnect automatically several times in just few span of time,though i am in full range.this not happen every day..also the lock screen is poorly designed by samsung,very few themes,no extra folder editing option,only two sensors..all of this shows samsung low productivity in designing its anroid software for this tab.i have j2 ace also,whose screen sensitivity is super,they both have tft screen...but whaterver this tab dont fall completely your expectation..i love to watch hd movies in dark room,love to play small stratigies games in big screen,nd also good for pdf reading,,,good for overall an average person...but sumsung must care about their customer satisfaction...

I am not sure which country you are in. I am from India and I have not got any update for my J Max for last 1 week for sure. I think Samsung provides different updates to different countries. If you tried everything else than you should do at least a "Factory Reset", than visit the service center. If possible try to talk to people in your country who are using the J Max tab. Regards.

I know my hardware better...my tab was pretty well enough bfr the update...updated in morning and in the noon the tab hanged...tried to share file using superbeam..was unable to connect to others phone which bfr the update was too easily getting connected...moreover now my wifi takes too long to search for hotspot and after the wifi found keeps on appearing and dissappearing....well i am already a Technocrat so i already have used all booting and clearing cache and safe mode thing.but everything in vein.so don't worry about that.....what really bothers me is the Samsung's old strategy..they send faulty updates to slow down and hang the phone so that people will be forced to buy a new one..i hope this should be not it

I don't think your issues are related to the update. As for network network speed reduction, check the SIM settings. Set them to highest settings. Also the hanging issue is due to cache files. You have to clean your full cache to work Android properly. You can do it by either going to boot manager and clean the cache, but do it on your own risk and unless you know how to do it. Or slyly can install "Clean Master" app (free app) from play store and run it once at least every week and clean all the cache, temp files to make your device run better. Regards.

After you connect the data cable to system, you need to unlock the screen of the phone and drag down options(wifi, data etc) screen. There you will be a shown options to change the mode of connect for Charging or media exchange files.

Finally I got my Jio SIM on my Aadhaar Card (AC). If you AC, your Jio will be activated in within few minutes. Anyway I fit it on my SIM 1 slot and everything is working fine now. Also I have got all the free Jio Apps which are very useful and practical. Overall I am very happy and satisfied with the Jio service for now. So, if you have a J Max model, than you should go for a Jio SIM. Trust me you will not face any problem.

Definitely you can use this device as PDF reader. With Adobe Reader for PDF and UB reader as most the other format, it will be worth a try. As for battery life, if you it for reading purpose, it will last about 3 days easily or more.

I have been using J max for the past four months and it's working fine, though at times I feel the battery could last longer. I purchased it yesterday and I am very happy with it. It is really an amazing phone. It supports 4G Airtel nano sim card. It has excellent features. It supports full HD videos. Price is also so low. My father uses this device, but I do the maintenance. So, here is my review. Pros: 1. It has nice big screen which is best to see videos, do facebook and read ebooks/PDFs. 2. The keyboard is smooth and responsive, supports multiple language. So, it can also be used to send emails and messaging and chat. 3. The Kid mode is very innovative. If you have kids on house and wants to give them some freedom, than this is the best device. Kid Mode supports many useful apps which are targeted for children. 4. The Front and Back Camera is very good and can be used to video chatting/calling and casual photography. 5. As I have said it is a huge 4000 MiH battery which easily lasts one full day. So, it can be used as phone also. 6. Because of the long battery watching a full movie on the colorful screen is really amazing. Just watched the "Tron The legacy" on this device and trust me, it looked better than my Bravia TV. Cons: 1. It has 1.5 GB RAM and 8 GB ROM which is little drawback, if you want to load huge apps on it. 2. This is not gaming tab, yes you can play light and casual games on it, but not heavy games like Asphalt. 3.The size is portable if you want to carry it on a jeans pocket or bag. But carrying it on your hands looks little awkward. 4. It has Lollipop as OS which was a great OS. But if you want Marshmellow than you should not buy it unless you confirmed about the update. Final Verdict: This is really a tab cum phone. It has everything for normal user. Has excellent screen, good camera, calling facility, long battery life and some innovative feature. At this price it is a good deal, if not excellent.

After using for more than one month,i can say that this is good phone(samsung j max)for people who wants to read ebooks,do office work,clicking photos and videos,video calling,watching movies,browsing,youtube,social apps etc.as i read newspaper daily in it. I am not interested in playing games in it as i have play station. But samsung can do better in this price range. Am planning to buy it only because it's supporting volte. As am big screen lover and my old lenovo tab s8-50lc touch digitizer is broken. Damn Samsung have no common sense because they don't know the importance of sound, never change their design, always goes mad with dual curve display shit which got no use at all. Guys, this thing is not new, this is an almost copy-paste of the Galaxy W. Same thing, a huge phone. Only improvement: PPI (+6) and OS (W is stuck at 4.3) But what the W has that this hasn't: 16 GB storage, Video at 1080p Compass Proximity sensor So yeah do not get too hyped, it is just an other tablet you can make calls on it, so it is like an enhanced Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 with LTE

Had a Mega 6.3 and loved it, the big screen was wonderful. Size was no problem, but weight of 200g was too heavy... bought an S6 Edge 130 g only much better...J7 Max is 276g far too heavy to be brought with you
