  • Very good phone, still using it now and I'll be giving it to my mother next week when I buy an LG. Screen was cracked two years ago but it's still usable and I am still dropping it many times (using protective screen) yet it works. The cons: 1- Very low storage - 16 GB which most of it is eaten by the ColorOS 2- The battery drops quickly when on 3G/4G (but drops less when on Wifi). Currently using an original fast charger of Samsung J7 Prime and I noticed battery life is a little bit better. 3- I can't hear anyone clearly on calls anymore, voices are so low even when I put the maximum volume. I have to use the loudspeaker or a Bluetooth headset in order to hear them correctly. Phone was bought and used by my brother for a year, me for two years and now I am ready to give it back for.

  • Great phone! Still works since May 2016. Battery life still going. Only regret is storage. ColorOS and others take most of the 16GB! Shared memory slot with sim card not great either. Other than that, this was a great buy!

  • I am using this phone for 3 years now. It has a good sound system compare to my old phone. The camera is okay. I have dropped this phone from 1 meter height and it is still okay, only the tempered glass cracked a little bit. Then, I also have dropped this phone a few times more. Well, battery need to charge twice a day because I used to much internet. If play a lot of game the battery will heated a little but it is not a problem. Overall, I love this phone and still using it right now. The best phone I have ever used.

  • I've been using my Oppo F1 for 2 years. For the 1.5 years it was good. But now i'm experiencing a problem. My SD card was not recognized (I bought it in Silicon Valley, SM North Philippines, type 10, 16GB) and my Google play services was gone.. Because of that I cannot open/use my other downloaded apps because it says it was supported by google play. My Google acct attched with this phone has unsync all of a sudden. O cannot take photos and do screenshots because it says its low system storage so I need to delete.. But my gaaaad! I almost deleted everything in my phone...   • review is not about this particular phone but you can consider it as a complaint about the company itself, specially the after sale service. I bought a phone back in Nov 2016 and encountered a problem with speaker/earpiece where it was not giving any sound while talking to anyone but loud speaker and headphones were working fine. I got it fixed by Oppo service center in just couple of minutes as they cleaned the speaker and claimed that due to dust, it stopped working. I encountered the same problem after 20-25 days and again got it fixed by replacing the board of phone. They assured that the issue will not occure but again after 15 days the issue occured and this time, my phone warranty was over by 4 days. They did helped him cleaning up the speaker but denied looking for the exact issue saying it will cost me from next time onward. In short they never took care of the core issue which I am still unaware and have to phone but to sell it and buy a new from a reliable company...

  • I read the comments and some people seems to have heating or hanging issues. It's the opposite for me. Not even once I have ever have these issues. I personally think that this phone is better than my Samsung and I don't miss using my iphone at all. Have been using this phone for almost 2 years now and I am nowhere near to change or upgrade. Obviously I am not an expert, but maybe the cause of the heating/lags came from overcharging or app that weren't closed properly? there must be something because if it comes from the device alone, then everyone will be complaining the same thing.   • This is the worst phone that I have ever used. I dont play any game. But it still has heating issues. Besides, sometimes when I take photos, the photos will not be saved to the album. It is as if the photo has never been taken. Instagram always auto off on its own when im using. Front camera is worst than other brand's camera. I dont think it's 8mp.

  • Yes oppo is terrible. Auto delete all my photos in the phone after a certain period. Messages from WhatsApp don't come in unless you go onto WhatsApp to activate and check for messages. Just terrible now! When you tried calling service centre, no one picks up call.

The only thing it can be is from sweat, as I run with the phone in a special arm sleeve, while listening to music. Very disappointing as I presumed that the sleeve would provide some sort of protection. Either that or the service centre says there is water damage to just about all phones that come back in. That would be more in line with the general comments from most of the bloggers on this thread.

  • i, I just bought the lastest Oppo F1, and just noticed that the battery is draining fast, it only lasted for 5 hours of normal use, and in charging it takes more than 3 hours, OMG, I thought I bought a smartphone, but this one, I dont know. Maybe they need to fix this issue ASAP. I read that this misses the VOOC technology, but it carries the feature of a snapdragons quickcharge 2.0, if i am not mistaken, so I think it should not took that long in charging. And in my 2 days of using this phone, I know the OS is halfbaked, there are misbehaviors happening, specially on settings that reverts back to the factory settings, note: I am not using any battery saver settings. I hope they can work on this immediately.

  • Suraj i was having the same issue. Then i just change the charger. With Oppo Geniune Charger it was taking almost 6 hours to charge the full battery. But now with other charger (5v and 1 amp) it is charging in 2 hours to 2:30 hours max. The problem might be your charger or the usb cable. Check and replace them.

  • Oppo f1 plus has serious issues with bluetooth, If you have a 4g sim in oppo f1 plus, then the bluetooth is not working. First of all it will take ages for the device to find the bluetooth device( yes my device was a bluetooth 4.0 device but still is took around 3-4 min for oppo f1 plus to find the device). Then it wont connect in the first attempt. You have to try more than once to get it to pair. And when it pairs the streaming of the sound is horrible. The songs breaks while playing just like its buffering and i was playing locally stored songs on the phone memory. Now i you turn on the airplane, or remove the 4g sim or insert a 2g sim then the bluetooth works fine. Another interesting thing i notice about all oppo phones is that its wifi mac address is identical to bluetooth mac address. I have never seen these two addresses to be same on any other phone. There has been no fix for the bluetooth problem wth customer support, oppo community or the service center people. And its not a problem with my particular oppo f1 plus, we have tried around 5 other brand new oppo f1 plus handsets all having the same problem if a 4g sim is insterted into the phone then the bluetooth is not working. If anyone of you have a fix.... please share..... the only fix is to turn on the airplane mode. but then there is no point to have a volte phone with a 4g network.

I figured out, there is a problem during phone calls. When someone called me, during our conversation the person in the other line always heard a self-voice echo. But to me it's all fine. Then i tried to make a call to my phone using other gadgets; when i answered it, it really is..there is an echo problem. I've checked the system settings and seems no problem at all. But this echo problem couldn't figure out where it is. Because almost all the callers of my phone says they hear their voice echoing back. So irritating that need to hang up and call again and i think the echo problem was in my phone. I've searched on the google and read and read. Sometimes, i was thinking if my phone have a spy software that i am not aware because i didn't hear any echoes. But seems every apps in my phone are known. Problem is :- If some one calling he is getting number busy prompt before I was thinking this is mobile network issue but after testing with operators and after all testing we found the issue. And I have visited to Oppo service center and I have meet 4 other person they also facing same issue and they was having oppo phone other models.

  • Have been using this phone for 4 months now and must say I'm happy with it. The speed, touch, performance, everything about it is great. Camera is good but still have to get use to it as does not use cam frequently. The only thing I'm quite frustrated about is the battery charging time. From 50 to 100per cent takes almost 2hours but overall battery endurance is quite good i must admit. Can last a day with surfing, whatsapp, facebook etc. If only Oppo can do something about the battery charging time this phone will be great. Also the ringing volume for incoming calls should be made louder. Looks wise and feel is very good in fact better than some Samsung and LG models. So far no lags and heating issues. Not sure about others. But couple of friends using this same model also do not face heating and lagging issues as have checked with them. Overall good phone. 8.5/10

  • I am using oppo f1 since 23 june, 2016. The only thing I can agree with the people complaining here about oppo f1 is the battery life. Yes, the battery life is not that good but not that bad either. Gaming on this device decreases charge quite fast. But not everyone out there is a hardcore all day gamer, right? Normal gaming and using gives a good battery life. And there's always a power saving option. The ui is buttery smooth and lovely. Display is nice and bright. Colors look decent. Blacks are blacks, 720p resolution is more than enough. There has been no performance lagging during my use. Gaming is a dream in this device. Browsing the internet is fast. The rear camera is also great. Pictures look nice and color accuracy is fairly good. The selfie camera captures great selfies. Oppo F1 is a great phone in its price range. If you are confused wheather to buy it or not, I will simply say, Go for it...

  • Go to settings and then battery to see what is using it most. If it's "google play services" then that is the problem. The recent update a couple of weeks ago has a battery drain issue. My Samsung phone wouldn't charge either because google play was draining it faster than it could charge. You can unistall google play services, some apps may not work and it may reinstall itself after a while but I did it a week ago and my phone is usable again. Good luck

  • Am now able to provide some comments after 3 months usage and experience. The phone os actually really good. Fast, reliable, wifi connection is stable and good even when I travel overseas. Touch is smooth occassionally you do get some hiccups but very seldom and rare. Advise to clear the ram usage regularly. Battery is ok, average depending on usage but should last 1 day. Charging time is REAL SLOW!!!! almost 3 hours to get 100per cent from say 30per cent when u charge. Other than that can't find any faults with this handset Size is also good. Sound is average.

Drains out in seconds. 100-60 in maybe like half an hour's worth and yet they said it charges up 75% within 30mins; which is funny cause mine takes 4-6hours.   • Bought my Oppo F1 last march and it comes with a free sd card of 16gb. I used the sd card for around 2 weeks and then suddenly it got corrupted. I cannot open the pctures anymore sp tried removing it, and then open the card in my laptop. I can see the thumbnails but it says picture can't be opened.(Thought it was just an sd problem). So I bought another sd card. After using new sd card it was again crashed in less than a week. Still the same issues. Since my Sd card had a warranty the store replaced it but this time they asked me to do reset factory setting. So i did. My phone was brand new! After 2-3 weeks my memory card again was corrupted. This sucks!(my gallery is so precious). Tried calling oppo philippines support. WTF they don't have a tech support team who can assist in trouble shooting my phone. He keeps on telling me to go to the shop and maybe my phone's OS is not updated. I asked when was the last update they released he cn't evn answer. He asked me if my phone is heating up. I said yes there are times especially with system update and i noticed the past days it keeps hanging up. The screen goes black for few seconds then refreshes. The agent said it the heating up maybe a cause why my sd cards were corrupted.but I asked if that is a manufacturer defect? So i can have my phone replaced. It has a % in the calculator app. Just rotate the screen to go into scientific calculator mode and you will see the % button. It does show dialing numbers. The dual Sims or memory card is just how it is. Doesn't make it bad.

When I was decided to buy this phone, the salesperson inform me that this phone a little bit heat up while changing, and it will fast cool up after charging. After I charging, I discovered this phone bit heat up. Really happy with oppo f1 performance because even I use many apps like Whatsapp, Facebook, WeChat, Website viewer as well as listening music :-) it not draining much battery such as another phone (I really have bad memory with my samsung s4 :-( ) ... The camera not so bad with 16/8 mp.. I hope this phone be nice with me because I want to influence my friends to buy this phone too... haha

  • At first I have a doubt on the part of the battery. But the monent I used it i dont have a problem with the battery. Though it does not support fast charging nothing to worry about.   • I bought OPPO F1 and sold it the next day because I am not satisfied with its camera quality. The 8MP front camera for selfie is very blur compared to my HTC 2MP front camera (which is way clearer). But, it has this Beautify function so you can have flawless (unreal) face skin and front camera flash so you can have a bright picture even with poor lighting. But, my point of interest when buying is the camera so I just cannot keep it. I saw that it updated itself to enhance the camera quality but really, no difference at all. Still blur. Other functions work fine. But, I really love the OPPO smart gestures.

But very much disappointed when the glass broken due to just a little shock. Saying solid phone is bullshit also the company do not stand any warranty for the same. Request the buyer to carefull before buying.

  • I bought this a month ago. So far I love this phone. It can carry hardcore gaming without lags with its 3GB Ram. If you're up to long hour heavy gaming this phone only has 2450-2500 mah which may not be suitable for you, i can then recommend zenphone max for it has 5000 mah but only has 2gb RAM. F1's camera is superb, the rear camera is very clear while the front camera in which i think already has a filter (which is why I think most people thought that its bad or is equivalent with 2mp frontcameras) giving me a high quality selfie just adjust the lighting and filter of your own preference :) i was quite disappointed with the 16gb rom, with all the default apps and system the remaining rom is only about 5-7gb. Another downside is that the memory card and sim2 card has the same slot. so you can only either have sim2 or the memory card and not both. Overall its a good phone with a reasonable price :)

  • Will calibrating battery will fix fast draining of battery? When I first bought it, it only drain 2-3 percent overnight but after I try to use 2A charger battery it drain faster :( now it consume 10-20 percent overnight even in power save mode and no background process.

  • only use specified charger to charge ur phone. Using 2.0 A instead of 1.0 A charger would cause battery to explode or damage ur battery life span.

  • heating issue is normal when u are using mobile data to access the internet. use wifi instead to keep your battery usage low and to not have heating issue. keep ur phone clean from trash to keep it running in fast and smooth.

  • I bought mine last March, i dont experience hanging issue. I changed the animation from 1x to 0.5x and enabled in security center the cleaning so that i will be notified to clean my phone when there is too much trash to keep my device running in condition. Also, clear ur phone ram usage when not using to minimize battery drainage during standby mode.

  • Using OPPO F1 for about 2 weeks already...bought a brand new one, like the features, design, colour (rose gold) buuuuuuut, the battery draining too fast! After charged fully, didn't touch it at all, for about 10 minutes, 3 % already reduced.... A bit dissappointed with the battery though... Overall it was good...
