Samsung Galaxy Note8 - User Reviews

  • I meant night mode in system One UI

  • What is camera night mode can you tell me

  • Do you mean now we will not face screen burn problem anymore? and is it for s8 plus too or only for note 8

  • The note 8 & S8 series don't have camera night mode feature.

  • Are u sure there is night mode in camera in note 8?

  • yes i got it this morning and updated

  • Anyone got october security patch update?

  • yes there is firstly no more screen burn in and awesome night mode ect.

  • Whats battery time you getting?

  • I have my note 8 almost 2 yrs. Not yet updated. Is there any improvement if I update?

  • Thanks

  • I mean the palm swipe, place your hand vertically on the screen and swipe from one side to another. For me it works 9 out of 10 times.

  • How to use hand swipe option for screenshot

  • I have to say that when I need to take a screenshot I often use the hand swipe option, it works very well for me most of the times.

  • Hello! Can you tell me about the conectivity with the newest galaxy buds? Does someone use them with this phone?

  • Thanks

  • It's should be available in s8 plus too because it's available in s7 edge just go to settings--advance feature just activate the button there

  • I am using s8 plus so i thought maybe this option is available in s8 plus too so i asked

  • Thanks

  • No but that palm option which you said is that available in s8 plus and how to enable it

  • interested but the prize is first thing in my mind

  • Palm option only for note series Power and volume button commen for the most of android devices

  • Not sure but i think it will be available as it's quite common option

  • Is this option available in S8 plus too?

  • Thank you Faisal123. I had the same option with the palm, but using it was weird and very difficult. I can see things haven't change much sadly.

  • Sorry, moving your hand palm from right to left, not left to right but for me it's not work most of the times

  • 1 option is by moving your hand palm from left to right but i don't find it more convenient. 2 option is to use power button with volume down button, it's more convenient and work perfectly as well.

  • Hello! I want to ask about screenshots. How are you doing them on Note 8? I was using Note 3 for 5 years and when I wanted to do a screenshot I had to pull the s-pen an than to select from the menu "screenshot". This was very unconvenient as I m a heavy screenshoter. My previous phone and nowadays one are having an option to do screenshot from the drop menu. Does Note 8 has it too?

  • Pie was the last update for this beauty but it truly deserves android 10, unfortunately that's not gonna happen.

  • Yeah sadly not coming. If OnePlus can give 3 major updates, why not every manufacturer...

  • Android 10

  • Try to do hard reset

  • My phone screen just went blank and after putting off, it refused to restart. What should I do?

  • My phone screen just went blank and after putting off, it refused to restart. What should I do?

  • Maybe it's malware or some kind of virus. Have you hard reset the phone?

  • I'm getting a reset every minute some app went rogue. It says delete failed direct sys carrier attacks privapp att

  • Just go in phone settings and select software update and then select download and install

  • help me how to update my note 8 this october

  • No we will not get android 10 anymore because pie was the last update and note 8 already got 2 major updates which was oreo and pie now we will get only monthly security patch updates.

  • Agreed

  • Android 10 update date Note 8 & best mobile all phone

  • The battery after the October patch is more or less still the same. From 30% to 0% doesn't go that rapidly anymore but I doubt that's because of the October patch.

  • Their is an improvement the battery backup is little better

  • Mine also updated to October patch today hoping for some improvement

  • For using on wifi 4hrs is very less i use.mostly on 3g/4g and it gives 3.5hrs

  • I use mine on FHD, resolution, screen brightness always on middle and most of the day on Wifi and SOT is 4-4,30hrs. Phone is 1,5yrs old. Satisfied.

  • I can't tell you yet because the phone was charging when it installed the update and haven't charged it since. It's on 35% now so let's see how the battery holds when it's under 30%.

  • Is there any battery improvement? I have emailed to Samsung Singapore and Samsung Pakistan but no satisfactory reply. They are just saying bring ur mobile to repair center despite i clearly told them that this has happened due to security patches since i bought the mobile. I also told them that i believe Samsung is playing dirty game of throttling so that people should discard their old mobiles and buy newer models....

  • I received the October security patch on the phone.

  • You have options: 1) If you bought your Note8 brand new less than 1 year ago in Europe (idk about elsewhere) from a Samsung authorised seller then the battery has 1 year warranty & the device 2 years. 2) If the 1 year warranty has expired, then you can get a genuine new battery replacement by a Samsung authorised repair technician with the IP68 still intact. For my Note9 it's £60 & the battery & IP rating is guaranteed for 6 months which should will be long enough to identify any problem. It'll be a bit extra if they come out to where you live or work, but it'll take less than 1hr. Idk price for just the battery replacement on the Note8, I guess £50. The Note8 Screen & battery replacement is max £219. Details are on their website (>Product support, >Your Service, >Repair my product) or contact Samsung support. For UK customers go to: 3) You can replace your own battery (if you know what your doing) with a genuine or equivalent highest quality oem battery yourself for about £25 including the tool kit, (you'll probably lose any IP rating). 4) Or use a third party (I personally wouldn't unless I was there during the procedure) but make sure they use a brand new genuine or equivalent highest quality oem battery for about £35 (you'll probably lose any IP rating).

  • My Note8 too.

  • While using

  • Did someone facing battery issue after September update tried factory reset? If yes then did it solved battery drain problem?

  • This phone new in shop around 2500pln still expensive for me but I bought second hands note 8. Also better for environment i think to buy cheaper used phones

  • My phone this note 8 it has not the battery problems now it is september patc secure update, battery all fine. Please read my other postt below... thanks you all.

  • This is best phone samsung make i hope update android 10 maybe xda developer can make it happen, to load side rom???

  • S10e as it's newer with better cameras which includes a wide angle camera which in my opinion is anytime better than telephoto lens on the note 8 & S10e will be getting more updates compared to note 8.

  • What i have seen so far is drop to 42% battery from 100% in 2hrs 10min screen on time But worryingly stand by drain in battery is too much without any 3g/4g ON it drops 6% in 5.5hrs and with 3g/4g on it drops too rapidly. If i see battery statistics then biggest drain after 1hr 40min screen time amounting 12%, the next percentage is of Android system 7% and Device idle 5% which i think is too much in total 11hrs 47min after charging 100%

  • In standby mode or while using?

  • Cause i updated my device yesterday i dont really see any different in battery drainage.my battery drop a percentage every 3min

  • On a normal usage how long those the baterry last?

  • Samsung note 8 or Samsung s10e?

  • I think everyone has issue after September update. Those saying know might have not noticed it. Or they might have bought new or they might have factory reset it recently. So anyone who has done factory reset after observing battery drain issue? Does it help?

  • Just updated my note 8 doesn't have battery issue

  • Anybody with the september update that doesnt have battery issue please?

  • Got this issue resolved by watching a YouTube video but got myself in the other issue of fast trend of battery drain. Before posting video link i must tell that its built-in battery calibration app in samsung and i had to do it 2-3 times at various battery levels but Got success after resetting it at 100% battery level . So dialer code for this battery calibration app is *#0228# Now battery drain trend is fast as complained by everyone over here but that sudden jump ftom 36% to 0% is gone. Overall screen time is more or less same rather i feel it has decreased a a little but atleast u dont get a shock that from 36% ur phone suddenly shuts down. Video link is mentioned below

  • Love that phone. Have it for 4 months now (get it used, but on excellent condition) and still rockin like new. Build quality is dope, camera is amazing, screen is gorgeous, s-pen is a great addition. Battery life is normal to my use. Most of the days is around 4 to 5 hrs screen. Sound from the speaker and fingerprint sensor position is the things that are not so good but nothing too bad. Everything works smoothly and fast. Very nice feel on hand. IP68 rating, which is important to me. Hope to have some stable Android Q custom roms, bcoz official will not have, and will use it at least year and half. Superb phone.

  • The Note8, no doubt. It has more features.

  • Can anybody help me? I'm having a problem choosing between the Note 8 or the S8+..

  • My Samsung note 8 stating has many steps... and it get long time what can I do to reduse and change normal method

  • Since i make a factory reset to my phone i never get a update again...im in August patch... Does anyone know for what is happening this...

  • Your phone may be infected with a malware, factory reset it

  • After hard reset some times i get message on face recognition in top 'couldn open camera' but weary rear but i see it does some one have notice this? Android pie

  • Exynos.

  • The issue u have faced now, was faced by me since 3 months or so Today i have updated to September patch lets see what it brings. I have Samsung exynos

  • Exynos version for me too. The battery drains especially quickly when it comes under 30%, after the September security patch update.

  • Exynos or sd??

  • No issues with battery to me after September update.

  • I am also facing battery problems after sep update.i have exynos version

  • Does it have fm radio?

  • It might be possible

  • A couple of days ago the battery went from 31% to 1% without warning in a secone, it was very weird. Maybe it also had something to do with the September security patch.

  • Pakistan

  • You should try s8 plus now

  • I sold my note 8 because its dead pixels .. miss for my note.. :(((( .. i have xiaomi mi 9 .. it is awesome .. but miss the luxury design of my note 8

  • Which country

  • I have installed it but facing battery draining issues

  • How is the August Security Patch for the Note 8? Anybody installed it already? Is it stable?

  • I think you should install Smart Switch at your laptop/PC and then try it. I hope you will get the latest version of Android Pie.

  • any update? mine is also the same. im on Oreo. Did you buy in china by any chance?

  • Hi guys So i received a brand new Galaxy Note 8 model SM-N950U as a gift. great phone so far but i'm still stuck on android (8.0.0) and the security patch level is 1 June 2018. I cant seem to get any update on it,not even manually. When i try download update manually it tries "registering device" but the process always fails. what can i do to get to android Pie at least. Im starting to think i have knock off version of a note 8. thank you

  • Thanks

  • I don't notice any difference after the update if it comes to battery drainage.

  • after software update any sensor does not work properly..whats the solution...

  • Is battery is performing better after September security patch as my Note 8 battery is draining drastically

  • You are lucky and i didnt got august patch

  • I installed the September security patch.

  • Thank you

  • The app I use is called Accu Battery if I'm right. Search for it in the store and you'll find it easily, it's a quite popular app. It measures the capacity of the battery and advises the best way to charge your phone.

  • Not possible because i bought this set brand new in December 18 and i take care of mobiles alot and its giving normal screen on time with 3G continuously on almost for 10hrs But one possibility is that i started using a Tronsmart World Travel Adapter wcp05 since last 4 months or so as it charges little faster than stock Samsung charger. Does this thing affect battery discharging cycle. Now i have again shifted to original charger

  • From where one can get new battery can you guide me?

  • Which app do you use for battery capacity measurment can you tell me please

  • I don't know, maybe it's because I never really let the battery get less than 20%. I charge is from around 20% to 80%, the battery capacity is 96% according to the battery app. So that might be the reason, but I'm not sure.

  • Well, seems like your battery going dead, a change of it will definitely help this issue. When there are jumps in % like from 15-20 to 0, that's a sign of warn out battery.

  • What is the reason why this is happening is this a software issue?

  • I'm also experiencing this in a certain degree, but in the case of my Note8 it's draining extremely fast once it reaches 20%. Sometimes it goes from 20 to 0 in a matter of half an hour while it's in standby mode and not be used. Not very reliable when you are unable to charge it on the go.

  • I am experiencing weird problem with my note 8 The battery goes down normally till 36% and then it suddenly falls to 7 or 1% and mobile switches off automatically and this thing usually happens/accelerates when you switch of screen when the battery is 38-36% remaining What is this bug? I completely discharged it then charged it with mobile still off till 100% then before next start cleared the cache from boot menu but nothing happens. And in this state mobile is giving 3hrs 45min screen on time

  • August update is the worst.the whole phone is lagging

  • Yes,i am using the buds on note 8,and it is perfect

  • same phone. also us version. you need to flash the OS

  • Im sorry. I have never owned s8 plus. So cant comment on it.

  • I have note 8 the us verson but am in africa but it failed to recieve software updates i even tried to download manually but it's saying “registration failed”, any one with the solution?

  • Which phone has best main and selfie cameras under the budget of USD 200?

  • The opposite for me, I like the Note series better, I like the boxier design much more. But the Note10 series simply doesn't add more than the S10 series, in fact you get less except for the S-Pen. No 3,5mm jack, no heart rate sensor, and those 2 are just the things I use often.

  • Anyone experienced lagging when opening app after the recent update?

  • What about S8 plus

  • S9 plus beautiful phone. S7 edge i liked also. S series are far nicer looking than note series.

  • Thanks for your input

  • Hi sam799. You were asking wether to get note 9 or s10. Get s10. I bought the note 9 which has the old features of AR emjos. S9 plus camera is far better. S10+ camera is amazing . Three camera at the back. So if your looking to buy phone i would suggest s10 or s10 plus. I got s10+ sim free on sale for £800. Even though its 2 inches bigger in screen it doesnt look much bigger thsn my s9 plus. Il be keeping my s9 plus as i still like it to. I used to like the note series. But im glad i went straight to s series which was s7 edge and i wouldnt buy a note again. Thats my opinon on it. But each person is diff.

  • Maybe you should add S8 plus also in this list

  • Yes. I’m pretty sure you can use wireless earbuds work on anything capable of Bluetooth connectivity.

  • Two Samsung phones which in my opinion were the sexiest phones I had ever used were S6 edge plus & Note 8.

  • The S10+ has newer hardware and longer software support, the Note8 is from 2017 but it has the s-pen. If you're an s-pen user then you can't deny the Note series but if you're not, the S10+ has the edge over the Note8 simply because it's much newer. Like 2 generations newer if you wish.

  • Thanks

  • Big one is the price. Personally I like the pen feature on the note 8 but even removing that. The spec's between them isn't huge. This day abs are you can barely notice the differences. I could of brought the note 9 but again so little difference but big price gap. Decide what you really want to use the phone for and compare the features. Maybe pop in shop and see how they feel. Then decide.

  • What if comparison made between Note 8 and S10+? Which one has edge over the other and why?

  • s9 plus just looks so gorgeoes but what facts that we can say that S better than NOTE model?? or maybe i just need to up to s7 edge that cost so cheap now in my country(malaysia).

  • If you're upgrading then go for the S9+ its newer than note 8 with good battery life & will also be updated to android Q unlike note 8.

  • can it lasts around 4-5 hours of SOT . im a note 4 user and i get 4 hours+++ with no playing games, and 2hours+ with playing games and online social app. i feels like it's time to upgrade my phone to note 8 or s9plus.

  • Do Galaxy Buds work with this phone?

  • it depends.wether u r surfing internet, play games, use social media and so on,but usually it will last from sun up till sun down

  • With note 8 9 or 10 u can do screen shot in snapchat without a problem with smart select in s pen and ur snapchat friend don't know nothing about this....this is awesome

  • how many hours of screen on time you get on your note 8???

  • Really? I can use mine and lasts me a day and a half between charges. Been using it since the day it was released with no battery issues.

  • Worst battery :(

  • Need the s-pen? Note8. No need for the s-pen or never use it? The S9+, it will get Android Q as well as longer software support.

  • I also just got the August security patch, there's no night mode to be seen in the options and settings like in the S9 phones.

  • Already got,in Malaysia we can got Note 9 with 9 times less than original price if I buy it in wholesale

  • Go with S9+,the Snapdragon chipset way more better than Exynos. You can also opt for Note 9 for various feature and longer battery life.

  • S9 as it's getting Android q

  • Hi, which better between s9+ and note 8? I wish to buy one of that phone but I'm still confused to choose

  • But the problem that it won't get the android 10 update!

  • True, however I don't really use the iris scanner on my Note8

  • Try eBay, they ship to almost everywhere.

  • I Wanted to buy this phone but ......... its not available in Dubai market ............. !!!!!

  • Hi there, has anyone recently run geekbench 4 on the Note 8.? The single and multicore seems to be slightly higher than the test in the review. (Exynos) version. I got a single core of 2001 and multicore of 6656. Though the difference is small it seems to have improved over time(software updates)

  • I like dis phone

  • And the iris scanner ☹️

  • Absolutely, especially when the Note10 is omitting the headphone jack and heart rate sensor.

  • I think the Note9 will get a price cut.

  • Will the note 8 get another price cut when the note 10 will be available?

  • Yes nice phone

  • Even after the release of the note 10 still not worthy to upgrade from note 8 Still loving the note8

  • How much SOT are you getting in heavy usage can you tell me

  • I use this phone for 2 years since it released every thing is fine but the battery is not that good in heavy use

  • Did it get the night mode in camera after the latest update like the S9 Plus?

  • im using this for almost 2 years now and no problem at all..i like the camera..fast internet...and maybe i will replace this when note 15 will be available 😍🥰

  • Thanks. Good decision. My only reservation with Note 8 is it's battery. I rarely use S-Pen which is also the same to lot of people as well. But in overall performance, it's very good device to use.

  • Yes my suggestion is to stick with the Note8. I am gonna stick with the Note8 for another year to it'll be the third year, which is all fine because 1000 euro for the Note8 is so much, I need to keep it just for the sake of that amount of money paid for a phone in my opionion. I have my hopes on the Note11.

  • Firstly, thanks for your feedback. Secondly, this is my 2nd Note series phone, earlier i used to have Note 5 which i have used almost 1 year, then switch to Note 8. I have also make comparison between Note 8 and 9 but not find much difference except, ram, rom and storage that's why i was waiting for Note 10 but i think i should stick to this one.

  • Hi I still haven't received the Android 9 update for my Note 8. I've checked the manual updating in settings and it says my software is up to date on Samsung Experience 9 with Android 8...anyone know what's up with this?

  • In my opinion, no. I am using the Note8 since October 2017 and with the introduction of the Note10 and 10+ I see no reason to upgrade. I expected more from those 2 phones. They lack some things the Note8 has. If you were about to buy the first Note series, I would even say to go for the Note9, much cheaper and again, it has features the Note10's don't.

  • Thanks brother

  • believe me bro unless your phone dies on you you don't need to upgrade.

  • I have been using Note 8 from last 8 months and so far experience is great. I just want to know that it's worth upgradeable to Note 10 or Note 10+?

  • August patch in romania 622 in mb size

  • I thinks the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is the best choice when she went to my hand i'm very happy Thanks Samsung that makes the beautiful phone,I'm sad when Note 7 were dead but Note 8 is the amazing phones

  • For me the Note8 is still better than the Note10. It has the heart rate sensor and the headphone jack. Note10 doesn't, sadly.

  • It's still relevant as compared to note 10 series

  • Excellent phone overall and long-lasting battery

  • Thank you

  • S8+ is still a great phone but Note 8 is better with extra ram, dual cameras, s-pen & stunning design, infact it's one of the sexiest phone Samsung ever made.

  • Still waiting for Sp02 measuring option to come back in Samsung health app. Why'd you remove that Samsung? Are you out of your mind?

  • The best I've ever seen... Superb camera with spectacular design. I'd already bought note 9, but this is too much better

  • I am so happy to Samsung Galaxy Note8 there internet is farst

  • Yes still worth, it's a very feature rich phone, not many other phones except for the Note9 have more features. I can recommend the Note8 for sure, also can recommend Nokia 8.1 and 7.1 Plus in the 300-400 dollar range, fast software updates and Android One, no boatware. And if you might be able to find a OnePlus 5T brand new with 8GB of RAM for that price as well. OnePlus is doing a great job with software updates, if software updates are important to you.

  • What about S8 plus?

  • How is S8 plus?

  • im using 2019 recently, depends on the use.. if you looking for gaming choose other, if not then here's your answer

  • is note 8 worth it in 2019? or please suggest me good devices in 300-400 dollars segment

  • Dear A 70 and A will never come close to Samsung Flagship devices. In terms of performance hardware performance Note 8 is better than S9 but In software updates S9 will be ahed

  • How much you want to spend and what is your location

  • Note 8 camera always better than A70

  • S9 plus wothout a doubt.

  • I don't recive any software update since April 2019. I made a factory reset in my phone in april and since then i didn't receive any software uptade.

  • in night light wich photo is better in note 8 or A70 ??

  • Note 10 will be out soon however rumor has it there will not be a headphone jack. If you are are looking to take advantage of a good phone at a discount. I would just buy the note 9 since it will be the last note with all the features including a headphone jack

  • It depends :) Samsung A70 has the ultra wide angle. Samsung Note 8 has OIS - optical image stabilisation.

  • Who has better camera note 8 or A70 ??

  • Hi! I am really content with the phone. I have it since february 2018 and I didn't have any problems with it. What suggestions do you want?

  • Can anyone tell how to get Android 9 in Note 8 Chinese Version? I bought Note 8 from China but still it's Android is 7.1. No update yet.

  • What should be the ideal setting of "white balance" to get best display in adaptive display?

  • Planning to purchase one, any suggestions or options, Waiting for a good response.

  • Experiencing severe black crush or black clipping after the last july update..

  • Me too, got it today, same size. This patch came a lot quicker than the June security patch which I only installed not that long ago.

  • I also got july update yesterday

  • Thank you i am also using s8 plus from over the year now it is great phone before it was good but i can say after pie update its performance has been very much improved

  • Got the july update of 586 mb

  • Got the july update of 586 mb..

  • Of course it is! I've used the S8+ and it was a very good phone in terms of camera & performance. Note 8 has a slight edge over the S8+ you get 6GB of RAM, dual camera & S-pen but still S8+ is a great phone.

  • Yes but the hardware is good enough to get another major OS update. Only OnePlus does that so far

  • Is s8 plus a good option

  • how care about update bro, if this phone still improve your productivity, my wife still using note 3, for her note, even she have samsung A50.

  • i luv this phone, i am still using this phone (sm-n950f) n waiting note 10 5g, thank sammi, this's not phone, its note,

  • How about S8 plus can you tell me? is S8 plus a bad option

  • I would suggest the S9, perhaps not as feature rich as the Note8, for long term use, you at least get androud Q on the S9. In the case of the A70, you get android Q and R, but I think the S9 can be bought for less.

  • As far as it's official, Samsung phones never get more than 2 major OS updates. That means sadly no android Q for this phone, no matter how good the hardware is.

  • So note8 wont get android Q Is this official?

  • Agreed. S9 & S9+ will get the android Q update too unlike Note 8 which is pretty heartbreaking as it can easily handle the future updates.

  • S9 and S9+ would be awesome

  • Which you recommend, A70, S9, or Note 8? Especially for long term use.

  • Note 8 without any doubt, its a great phone.

  • Which is best note 8 or s8

  • Amazing mobile still i luv it much better than s10,june security update improve battery life surprisingly thank you sammi.

  • in romania was almost 1gb the patch very large

  • Yes it's a great phone with additional features, also still getiing security updates. Maybe you can get your hands on a used Note8 for a very good price.

  • Hi guys! Can we buy NOTE 8 8n 2019? tell me why. I have a s8plus ,just need it for telephoto, what do you suggest me?

  • Does the phone give a warning when the S-Pen is out of its socket and is away from the device at a larger distant, say 5m?

  • It can be different from region to region, this June update for my Note8 was quite a large one. Usually it's around 520MB or something.

  • mine was smaller than yours if im not mistaken..

  • I got the June security patch today, around 693MB.

  • I don't know, I can't find anything about it

  • Not at all. Battery timing of Note 8 is awesome.

  • No i have s8 plus i dont have any battery issues it is working properly 8 hours of sot from 100 percent to 30 percent battery is great after pie updare in s8 plus

  • I have battery issues. it gets down in minutes. I have previously been using S9. Does battery consume rapidly in Note 8

  • Me too? I dont know

  • Me Too! Why this happened?

  • me too. i didnt know that, then i see yr comm.

  • You reply on your own comment about the s-pen

  • I updated the samsung health app and now SPo2 scanning option is gone?? It's also not in the list of items anymore.

  • From April 1st I got no security update? Where's the problem?

  • Can anyone tell how to get Android 9 in Note 8 Chinese Version? I bought Note 8 from China but still it's Android is 7.1. No update yet.

  • Me too hhhh

  • Note FE launched with android 7, so only two major OS updates. Note8 will not get android Q unfortunately.

  • You should try updating manually from settings software updates

  • Some pictures in sunlight is not very clear. On the laptop , soes not look good.

  • No pie updates is getting in my note 8 --currently lives in india and purchased thgis phone from another guy ...no idea about the country of note 8 .... what to do for getting pie updates?

  • Is note 8 will going to get android Q cuz note fe is in pie now..and he get 3 major update...

  • Why

  • I am very dissapointed..included photos. Many are not very good.

  • I am facing problem with the SIM card slot. Calls are not getting but not always. Mobile data got disconnected many time a day.

  • I also have the same problem. I don't know how to solve this issue. I think it's a software issue.

  • Hello everyone I have s8 plus after may update i am facing charging problem my phone charging is very slow i want to know that anyone else also facing this problem please help me thank you

  • I bought a new note 8 few month ago. I have some issue with mobile data.. it is disconnecting..If i restarted, back to normal. Sometimes begin with G...and after restarting..begins with 4G. How can i resolve? Reset network did not help.

  • No i also got may update on 12th june i have s8 plus maybe june update will release in july

  • Anyone has the June security update yet? Got the May security patch on May 10th.

  • welcome...

  • I want macro option in note 8 camera app...what all u think??

  • Yes you are right

  • Phones got way too expensive to upgrade every year I think.

  • I also will keep s8 plus 2 years more i am using it since 1 year now till something better comes

  • Yes you are right i have s8 plus i am happy with it i didnt knew about telephoto lens in note 8 and it is expensive too so i bought s8 plus but it is also nice phone

  • Thanks

  • Well facts are facts, it has more features. Sorry can't help it. But use whatever phone you want, as long as you're happy with it. I'm gonna use the Note8 for at least another more year.

  • No i will not say that i agree that note 8 is better

  • Hey everybody whats up how you doing im using samsung galaxy s8 plus for 2 years good phone works fine running android 9 Pie so im happy with it but note 8 is just better specs and features sorry but its true just newer phone and better specs but s8 plus is my favorite I dont use stylus or second camera. Am very happy with performance but note8 simply has more features but i wait for the galaxy s11 maybe s12. I so not have money to upgrade every year or every two years just i need to use phones a little longer 3 years maybe 4 years. Greetings

  • You said any feature but the s-pen. Now it's any feature but the camera or the s-pen. So when I say it starts with 6GB of RAM opposed to 4GB of the S8+, it'll soon be any feature except the s-pen, camera or the amount of RAM.

  • Dual cameras with telephoto lens, 6GB RAM & S-pen.

  • Other then camera and spen

  • Any? Second camera for example.

  • Name any feature which is not available in s8 other then spen

  • Which features can you eleborate

  • Note8 is by far better than S8+. The features the Note line offers over the S line are always immense, the Note series is a phone for productivity, the S series is just a smartphone. SPecwise they might seem very similar, but the Note has added features which makes it unbeatable to some people.

  • ya its happening with s8 also ...bt samsung tells battery stops charging when battery reaches its highest temp ...i was also facing this problem bt wher i use to charge mine phone tht rooms temp was 45 degree so i stoped cgharging my phone ther instead i m charging it in a room wher temp not reaches more than 38 degres..nd now i dont face ny problem..

  • No it is difficult for the people who have small hands but who have big hands it is not a problem to unlock the phone from fingerprint scanner i also use fingerprint scanner for unlocking phone i also have big hands

  • True, finger scanner was the biggest flaw of the S8 and Note 8, I used face scanner instead.

  • Same here, I have used it just once when I unboxed my phone :-D

  • I hope so they should give one more update

  • Is anyone experiencing draining of battery and also taking extra time for charging after May security patch?

  • How useful is the s pen. I rarely use it.

  • Terrible design to have the fingerprint rear mounted. Total turn-off. Waste of time to be flipping the phone from desk just to access that.

  • Nope!! Note 8 is much better than the S8+ it has 6GB of RAM, a very useful s-pen and dual cameras compared to the S8+

  • Powerful smart fone

  • I think s8 plus is better

  • I hope samsung will give Q update to note 8 and s8

  • I was talking about the future Q update, Samsung gives only 2 major updates to its phones so there wont be any further major updates for the Note 8.

  • Hello this is a good phone best specs and features of any phone and 3,5mm unlike upcoming note 10 if info is correct!

  • But i have S8 plus and i have pie installed how you can say samsung neglect older flagships

  • You should buy S8 plus because battery timing is better in S8 plus after pie and oneui update

  • According to unbox therapy s8+ does 98% of what note 8 will do and it's at a battery percentage, but the note 8 do out do the s8+

  • The unlocked US version should work well in 9ja, just check to make sure that the phone has one of the LTE bands of the network provider you will be using in 9ja. I've used my N950FDs(Dual Sim) with glo and had LTE.

  • Can't seems to activate video call option on my note 8 after upgrade to android 9 any help will be appreciated please thanks.

  • So guys, I'm stuck between getting the s8 plus or the Note 8. Read up reviews and may probably be sticking with the note but any first-hand opinions are welcome. If I purchase a US-Unlocked unit to be used in Nigeria, would i still be getting the pie update??

  • There Always Root Method For Newer Software & Stable + Great Performance Experience.

  • That's true and sad that Samsung neglect their older flagships when the newer version comes out. That was the case with the S7 edge when the S8 came out and the same with the S8 series when they released the S9. S7 edge would have easily handled the Pie update and the Note 8 would have run smoothly on the future Q update but what you said is true Samsung want people to go for the newer models and ditch their older ones.

  • It depends on the region, I got it it in the second week of May so don't worry you'll be getting it soon, it's not neglected by Samsung at all.

  • Who hasn't yet recieved May security update? Or this phone is being neglected by Samsung? If so that means we will recieve only quarterly updates.

  • As far as I know only OnePlus is giving 3 major OS updates, the OnePlus 3T got Android pie, but it came out running Android 6.0 Marshmellow. If you look at the hardware, the Note8 could easily run Android Q, no problem. I think it's just too much hassle for Samsung and other brands so they just stick with 2 updates. Moreover they want people to upgrade phones every year, so it's probably better to just stick with 2 OS upgrades to 'force' people to upgrade if they decide to keep their phones in their pocket for another year or two.

  • Yes it's one of the best you can get from Samsung, works like a charm without any hiccups. Love it!!

  • Unfortunately no, it won't be getting the Q update as pie was its last. This is what I don't like about Samsung ditching their top class phones and not offering the future updates, like the S7 edge which was my favorite phone ended up on Oreo as the last and final update.

  • Thanks

  • My Note 8 is oftenly freezing for few seconds and restarts many times in a day It's on Android 9 May 2019 security patch Using third party apps also Soft and hard reset done twice Suggestions please Thanks

  • if you have android pie so recording is suspended..

  • Please help me to get call recording option on note 8

  • even in 2019 galaxy note 8 is still one of the best smart phones it works well on android pie

  • Will get android q???

  • I didn't tecieve at sll

  • Hi My Note 8 is oftenly restarts many times in a day It's on Android 9 May 2019 security patch Using third party apps also Suggestions please Thanks

  • March is not the latest it’s may so not gud mate hope it updates soon on your note8

  • Hello it depends on the battery because its used note8 so battery is not new but it is a gud phone you wont regret mate. SOT about 6 hours for me

  • Hi everyone. I may buy a used note 8.. my question is about the battery.. how much sot I can get ?

  • May 2019 Security patch, 874.37MB

  • That's true. I had used the S6 edge+ for couple of years and then made some unnecessary upgrades as I was quite frequently changing phones almost every six months but finally I'm content with the Note 8 as it has everything you want in a smartphone and I just love it. I'll stick with it for another year or may be more :-)

  • March 2019

  • Apple Pencil is the best, paired with the iPads. I used to not bother with iPads, but ever since I have experienced their Apple Pencil with Procreate app, nothing beat those two for mobile art.

  • I never knew that. I'm not s serious artist but I found the Microsoft surface with their surface pen work very well as well. I find the note 8 is most convient to use though

  • What's your latest security patch?

  • I used my former phone Nokia Lumia 930 for more than 3 years, I am planning to use this phone for more than 3 years as well. Phones have become very expensive lately, plus that it's better for the environment to use a device longer rather than upgrading every year. And I have upgraded a lot in the past, but that's the problem if you're a tech enthousiast and especially smartphones... but I'll try.

  • Dude, you've already on android pie. There's no reason to get monthly updates!

  • Why my note 8 doesn't receive anymore software update since i do a factory reset before one month...im in android pie and i get every month software update...

  • I haven't got the may security update

  • One of the best Samsung phones I've used in years, it has been a wonderful experience using the Note 8 as it has everything you need n a smartphone and beyond especially the camera which can give the latest flagships a run for their money.

  • Better photos, recs, than lg g7?

  • Very good phone! Amazing photos, amazing experience.

  • Should i get note 8 or s9

  • Im very pleased with this phone. I use a flip case to protect the display when the phone is in my pocket. Not using screen protector because the flip case protects. I experience app crash from an app called samsung connect is it normal? Not much bothersome but now and then it shows up on the screen the app samsung connect is not responding, close, restart, sending data, those are the options choose from. It has not be go away with couple of the latest security updates.

  • Not true anymore... A third-party pen from Adonit, Wacom have pressure-input. Yeah, these pens can't be stored on the phone, and need to be charge from time to time, but any modern phone now can be paired with a digitizer pen. I have found the S Pen too thin for long drawing sessions that I even modified another one to have a thicker body shell (accessory from the first Galaxy Note) for better control. I still use my Note8 for Android functions, but I found iOS has the best drawing app - Procreate that does not exist on Android.

  • I use it daily. If you have a child you can open pen up and then can use the s pen to colour in pictures. Amazing for filling out contracts and forms that are sent in pdf format. I have had the note 2, note edge, now the note 8. My previous phone was a s6 active and I always would miss having the pen. I pretty much don't use a computer as use my Samsung dex for desktop tasks. If you look at sites like craigslist, Facebook marketplace, you can get a note 8 for $500 cad. I would say that's a great deal.

  • Why note 8 get may patch and newer phones still waiting on it. Not fair:(

  • Android 9 update is not here yet in Argentina. And now, i'm wondering if it would be some day..

  • Is your phone flashed or not using the original rom?

  • please help my note 8 is always saying failed to process whiel updating and also not getting any update its at android 8 and also not showing last update time or date what to do

  • One of the beat deals to get a great phone with stylus and fair battery life. It is my recommendation for a very good smartphone. But sadly not getting mote android upgrades. Note 9 is good too but still getting a software upgrade... but note 9 is also cheap. Maybe better go for Note 9 but still note 8 is so good. My recommendation for sure! Richard

  • I got the latest patch on my note 8 phone good job samsung

  • That's why I don't wanna upgrade to the S9 or S10 as we get regular updates and there's no trouble with this beauty, love my Note 8, it's one of the best Samsung phones I've used in years.

  • Same here

  • its tarrible battery life... more less

  • how is the battery life

  • Great phone enjoying using ......

  • Just received May security patch update.

  • Great look camera on the Note 8 is top class. and battery life also good. it has bigger RAM

  • Acually the note 8 has went down in price. S9 plus has only dropped small amount. Note 9 has dropped more in price compared to S9 plus price. S9 plus is great phone. More up to date than note 8. Better specs.

  • Great choice and camera on the Note 8 is top class no matter what the lighting conditions are.

  • Wow, this was exactly like my situation on last May 2018. I upgraded my phone from A5 2016 to Note 8. Huge different with bigger RAM.

  • I tried it, but no vibration when I click on 2x zoom. Maybe it has something to do with the settings in the camera app?

  • Yes, a a big step forwards if you go for the Note8.

  • Yeah a had a5 2017 and i upgraded to note 8 and is worth of upgrade

  • I have an A5 2016 and i want to buy a Note8. I should change it or not?

  • The screen, and camera is very nice but I dont like the battery

  • Is the s pen useful?

  • Go with Note8, you are not missing pretty much nothing, if compared to S9 Plus. Being rocking my Note8 for a year now, very satisfied..

  • Heyy Did anyone's face vibration after using 2x zoom in the camera ap when you want to focus in small object in 2x zoom...can someone try it for me plzzz

  • Note 8 or s9 plus? S9 plus is cheaper but wanna try this stylus. I do Like note 8 design more.

  • I'd go for the note 8 it's a good deal

  • Thanks

  • Thanks buddy

  • That's true.

  • Upgrade to Note 9 from Note 8 isn't worth it. I would still prefer to stick to my Note 8 as it has everything you want in a smartphone and that too at a cheaper price, I haven't faced any issues on my Note 8 regarding battery, camera or performance all apps and games run smoothly and the camera is top notch so there's no point in spending extra bucks on the Note 9.

  • Thanks

  • go for note8

  • I wouldn't upgrade to the Note9, it has only the Bluetooth s-pen as advantage really.

  • It's a great phone

  • No problem. What's your preference between Note 8 & Note 9? Because i don't think that both have much differences. Is it worth upgradeable from Note 8 to Note 9?

  • Actually I was wrong, it does use the hybrid system, so no dual sim plus dedicated SD card. I think I was mistaken with another phone of mine.

  • Thanks for your reply. For battery life, you are right, we need to wait to see the results. I have also dual sim version but it didn't have dedicated card slot, actually i am using 2 sims. I didn't have any usage of S-pen. But i have heard that A70 is slower than Note 8.

  • I would wait for the review so you can read the battery tests and how it holds up. As per the memory, well it's double which comes in handy if you really need it. I have a Note8 dual sim so already have a dedicated SD card slot in this version. But the rest of the specs are less than the Note8, however it will get updates for a longer period of time because the device is new.

  • It's battery, rom and dedicated card slot

  • Which specs has the A70 over the Note8? Part from the 3rd camera on the back.

  • I want to replace my Note 8 with A70. Is it good option or not? Because as per the specs, A70 has edge over Note 8. Kindly provide your positive feedback?

  • Don't think so because the tip is rubber and is made specifically for this phone

  • Hello, I changed the s pen tip... it was not needed just to try it out. Is that ok i mean i dont want to damage the phone screen if it is not placed correct way.

  • Same for me, using this device since October 2017 and might go for the Note10, but I don't see a real valid reason to upgrade once the Note10 comes out. Besides, there's nothing wrong with using a flagship phone for multiple years. Upgrading every year also isn't that economic end friendly for the environment, let alone friendly to ones wallet with the prices of today's flagships.

  • If you dont care about the future updates then go for the Note 8, it's a superb phone in all aspects. I'm gonna stick to it for at least another year or so.

  • One of the best phones ever made.

  • Currently i m using note 8 and i m very much happy with this phone. you can go for note 8, which is cheaper then note 9.

  • I have the note8. Its really good but has its flaws. the fingerprint scanner is horrible and i turned that off. The phone isnt perfect and id suggest rather getting the note9. The battery in the note8 also doesnt last that long and i find that if i use my phone a lot i need to charge it twice a day. (i test games and sometimes that includes mobile games that do drain battery fast)

  • I'm doubting between the Note 8 and the Note 9. I want to use the S-pen but I don't care about the bluetooth functionality the Note 9 offers. I like the Note 8 design better with the super slim side bezels. On the other hand the Note 9 will recieve Android Q. Overall I am more attracted to the Note 8. Which is the better choice?

  • Camera is still OK but thw God damn screen is sick. A slip from the cauch about 50 cm on the laminated floor and there you go, broken screen. What a Gorilla 5 screen. I really need the pen for work otherwise, I would never buy edged screen samsung again.

  • Yes, the camera on this phone is simply the best!!

  • I think now this is best fone you cn buy for the money. Many features also a very gud camera i would say excelent camera

  • Amaizing fone best one with stylus mates i got upgrade to the pie software runs very well and gud No problems. Only the good things, to many to write

  • Nothing wrong with the Note8, I am using mine since October 2017 and all is fine.

  • I bought mine used December 2017, been using it with about 4-5hrs of screen on time a day since then. No problems with this phone. The only problem maybe is when I enable bixby home since the one ui update, the phone hits occasional lag. Otherwise it works very smoothly with literally no incentive to upgrade to a newer device

  • There's nothing wring with the Note 8 I'm using it for months and it's one of the best Samsung phones I've used so far.

  • I bought mine 3 months ago, I'm perfectly satisfied despite all negative comments.

  • I wanna buy note 8. Is it true that samsung note 8 has a problem in display and it will be possible encountered with dead pixels ? if it is true , what does its probable ? and it related to how use it or it is a routine problem? Kindly help me

  • Go for the new Note8 no doubt about that, it’s much better.

  • Go for the new note 8, I'm using it for months now and it's a superb phone. Used phones mainly have battery issues, i had a used S8 once which was as good as new with box and accessories but had terrible battery issues. So my advice is get the new note 8.

  • I have to change my phone & i have 2 options, S9 Plus used or Note 8 New. kindly help me making a decision.

  • You probably need to get a LTE enabled SIM to overcome this problem.

  • Yes it does catches sracthes easily

  • Good phone

  • Hi.....why all my contact in sim can't view??

  • Get a repair from a local shop or contact Samsung for a screen replacement, good service.

  • i have dead pixels on my note 8 :((( witjout any warranty:((((

  • Are you kiding me? i flashed with original samsung firmvare didnt root anythig. My phone originaly was for South Africa i flashed to hungary and regulary recived updates for 6 mounghts then flused to rusian because it faster recived pie update! But than stopped reciving mountly updates. get your facts right

  • Turn off VoLTE from settings, under mobile networks.

  • April Security Patch available for India. Size 580MB.

  • When you choice Note 8 because Z5 is not all future phone, note 8 is good deal then Z5.

  • When you'e Flash and Root the phone they your phone are unofficial and company are not get the update.

  • First you can use the phone child area the your phone not heat, because Note 8 Phone Glass back panel they can fastly heat, hence you van use child area mostly.

  • they problem are your GSM service not a phone problem, then you call your GSM operator.

  • Finally received my Pie update last two days ago...and its amazing!!!

  • I got the April security patch today.

  • really? so if I buy it and sleep in the night with the smartphone beside me it will eat me?! beast beast

  • I am using samsung note8. When I put my phone on 2g the phone works well and I can normally recieve calls. But when I keep my phone on 3G, 4G or LTE, and someone calls me, it shows that my cellphone is turned off or not reachable while the sms service works fine at both times. Is it the issue of software or hardware. My mobile: Samsung Galaxy note8 N905 can any one help?

  • Yeah, it has been a wonderful experience with this phone, it's much better than the overpriced latest flagships. Love my Note 8!!

  • Is true, note is the beast

  • The patch.update for 1st march shouldnt effect the battery as fixes in the update dont mentioned battery. The biggest battery drainer is the screen. Screen using more battery than any app. You try turning brightness down. But the march update wouldnt make your battery drain.

  • Hard reset

  • Same here still loving my 2 years note 8 Still performing great,,,, the real upgrade may it will be the note 10 :)

  • Upter update software version 9 my note 8 always battery heat how can i fixed this problem thank you

  • Still rocking mine nearly 2 years on. Only used a Spigen rear rubber cover and never a screen protector (because they wouldn't fit properly with the case) . Screen is still great. Battery life is comparable with the phones I had before (S5, Note 4, LG G5). It doesn't seem drastically different to any of them. Apart from One UI making split screen less functionable, it's still a beast. And absolutely no lag whatsoever, even after 2 years. The only thing I would swap it for would be a Note 9 but I'm patiently waiting to see the Note 10. If you're listening Samsung, make the spen out of wood, metal, carbon or something tactile and nice in the hand. Not just another plastic toothpick. Although the spen is the only reason I buy the Note line and without I'd possibly move brands

  • Mine is also the same model N950F and I got the March security patch on 15th March.

  • I flashed my note n950f true odin to russian rom to get pie (february patch) but now i still didn't get march update evan march update for russian rom via OTA came on march 11, when did you receive march update?

  • hi go for samsung note 8 if u want a fantastic display , go for asus z for a low cost maintenance . if note 8 fall down u will defiantly sacrifice the circumstances ,,

  • I can confirm that after the March security patch update the battery got a hit once again. Even with AOD turned off it drains 3% in a matter of minutes.

  • Same issue here. 1 hour less screen on time after the march security update.

  • guys when the Tmobile note 8 getting Pie update...i only have January patch update as the latest...mine is 2nd hand import and im living in Malaysia

  • Yes it can scratch easily, better to use a case, or some kind of skin. I use different cases, one of Spigen which is a very sturdy one.

  • hello guys needs help as m planning to buy new phone and confused between asus zenfone z5 (256+8) and samasung galaxy note 8(64+6). i know storage is a big difference between both but what about battery as both having 3300mah and which one is having great camera which is my priority. Any advice would be nice.

  • I always use a case on my phone for protection when im out. But at home i use gel back cover and use my phone that way. But its better to protect your phone with a case as its very easy to drop your phone or it gets scratched in pocket/ bag. These phones are expensive . For the price of these phones you could buy laptop. But i like these phones as cnt carry laptop sbout all the time. But protection is good.

  • i still didn't get march update can anyone tell me why is that this is my softvere info

  • Hello how long does your battery last if u play pubg on full setting my phone drope 84%after 3h32m is that good??

  • hell, thank you for the reply. what if i use a case on the phone when i go away so it has protection in my pocket but at home take it ouf of the case and not put it in my pocket just lay it on the table and pick it up use it and lay it back on the table for example. my old phone very much hold well during it life time like this way, it was LG V30 morocan blue very beautiful phone now want note in black. but battery got worse over time now need charge it every day 2 times to get 1 day of use. Thanks, masokh

  • You can get a complete skin for your note 8 if you don't want a case. Every phone is prone to scratches be it aluminum or glass so some protection is always better.

  • Yeah, that's true.

  • I also had the irritating ad pop ups on my my previous phone but it was due to 3rd party apps so I deleted couple of apps which were creating this highly irritating issue and after that things were back to normal.

  • hello, my name is masokh. i am willing to buy this phone. my question is, about this phone, does it stratch easy? i mean the metal frame of the phone. does one has many scratches on note eight? i don't like use a case. just phone without case this phone looks amazing i like to look at the phone without case and not use a case for that reason. hope for reaction, thank you much. masokh

  • If there are ads popping out when you're outside an app, then it maybe a certain third-party adware/malware app or file causing it. You should try finding and deleting those apps/files. However, if there are ads popping out when you're using an app... it's actually quite normal

  • Battery is smaller than the one in Note 7 to avoid the exploding issue. If you use battery draining apps (streaming, gaming etc.) it will drain the battery pretty quickly ON BASIC SETTINGS. Solution to this: lower screen resolution and it will double the time you can use it without charging, and still be satisfied with the quality

  • Due to the exploding Galaxy Note 7 because of too big battery, Samsung uses a smaller and less powerful battery in Note 8. It is a known issue that it runs out of battery too fast on default settings. If it is a single app that drains the battery, you could try clearing the cache and force stop the app which should force it to start over next time using it. Also if the battery is getting drained in general you can lower the screen resolution.

  • It is a very good phone. But the adverts that keep popping are very annoying. I wish there was a way of turning them off. they inconvenience people who are not interested

  • In general I don't notice any difference, only after the update to Pie I find the battery to be draining more quickly than before.

  • Mine also runs on March security patch and I've no issues regarding battery life, I dont use any power saving mode and mobile data runs all day except at night and the battery still lasts for a day.

  • What do you guys think about the March security update ? Why do I feel the phone's battery drain so fast. or maybe even drain faster than when on February. I already used power saving mode in medium.

  • Any Idea when will android pie will be available in South Africa for the unlocked Note 8 (XFA) ?

  • I just got the March security update too.

  • Good decision, I had the S9+ which had blurred camera issues I had to tap the lens twice before taking pics which was really disappointing especially when you pay such a big amount for a phone. I sold it after couple of weeks and got the Note 8, no issues at all, it's a great phone.

  • Between two phones , S9 and Note 8 , I have ordered Note 8 as per your reviews , do I correct?

  • Is it running android Pie?

  • My note8 using to much battry wile using tiktok it drop 1% every 3 minutes and when iam play pubg it drop 1% every 2 or 3 minutes it is normal or not??:)

  • Note 8 is an amazing phone without any doubt and is much better than the current overpriced flagships. I bought an S9+ which tempted me as it was on sale and I bought it and later I regretted my decision as everytime when I opened the camera it was completely blurred and I had to tap the camera lens twice to get it right which was pretty embarrassing especially when you ask someone to click your pics. Note 8 is really a great phone at a great price and it's a complete smartphone.

  • In one year like other Samsungs Note - broken screen in clean empty pocket. All by itself! With al 5mm whole and spider web (not covered with guaranty). First burning bateries Note 7, now screens. Bravo Samsung! Never to see you again.

  • Does the USA variant have received the Pie update yet? since Im getting a used USA variant Note 8 in Malaysia here...

  • Hi. What do you mean about google services? I have google accounts which i need. If i do factory reset i will need them for emails etc.

  • I updated to pie and did a factory reset right the way.My phone works very nice, with normal battery usage.Just dont activate all those services from google when setup and it will work perfect

  • Im having few problems since update. Which is annoying. Battery not last long. And other things. If do factory reset will it solve these problems ?

  • It's not necessary if your phone is working fine then there is no need for factory reset.

  • Should i factory reset after update?

  • Hi I haven't faced any such issue after the update, all the volumes are working good enough.

  • Any one have solution that after update yesterday pie volume gone very low .bells are ok u tube poweramp and galary videos gone half volume

  • After update my mobile voloum is half dont know what happend.u tube poweramp and galary videos voloum is too much low

  • Same here

  • For indian users howz ur pubg experice.it lags or not

  • downloaded files is invalid Help

  • On my note8 Watching youtube video drope 1% after 6 minutes using tiktok drope 1% after4 minutes playing game drope 1% after 3 or 4 minutes and from night to morning without using it drop 3to4% is that good?? Sorry for my bad english

  • Updating my note 8 to March security patch, it improves the security of device with some bug fixes.

  • Watching youtube video drope 1% after 6 minuts using tiktok drope 1% after4 minute and from night to morning without using it drop 3to4% is that good?? Sorry for my bad english

  • Good news, hopefully with some fixes for the battery life.

  • March 2019 Security Pacth available size 701.73mb. India.

  • I didnt received one ui update for my note 8 yet..why is that???

  • You're welcome buddy :-)

  • note8 is very good

  • You clear my doubts thank you sam

  • That's true, but AOD was on before the Pie update as well and it didn't drain that fast. It's just a handy feature to have, one look on the phone for notifications. I executed many apps running on the background as well. I will just see and wait till the next update. The phone itself works all smooth on Pie so no problems with that.

  • I get to use it for a day with mobile data on for whole day (turned off at night), AOD on, I don't use any battery saving mode. Battery life is good not great but then all the smartphones are struggling with battery issues. If you're planning to buy this phone then go ahead it's a great phone in all aspects considering the price its selling right now.

  • thank you but how to back up my data while it is in bootloop i can not enter to storage site even from laptop and i read if you flash stock rom using home scs instead of csc you preserve your data is it correct

  • If you got One UI, try night mode always On. again, always on display is really really battery consuming thing. If you try Max battery saving mode, you will see how much battery can be saved by turning off each option.

  • Guys whenever I search about Samsung galaxy note 8 all are saying battery is poor I am very confused I will go for this mobile or some other mobiles pls guide me guys

  • I hope for bug fixes next security patch.

  • I have my Note8 on energy saving mode, not the highest level but it is turned on, I have the always on display on. I charge it to 80 percent, and within lets say 30 minutes, it goes down from 80 to 76 percent without even touching the device and wifi and data off... that was not the case before the pie update so I really hope they come with some bug fixes in the March security update.

  • Using note 8 for 2 months now, best phone ever had. Battery backup is good for me. able to get a whole day and still 20% battery left. and yeah One UI works like a charm

  • Idle mode or standby mode is still great on my note 8 as it drops just 2-3% from night till morning. Factory data reset won't resolve any issues it just makes the phone as it was out of the box better to wait for future updates.

  • Go for the note 8 it's a great phone much better than the S8+ as it has 6GB RAM, dual cameras, s-pen and battery life even on pie is acceptable.

  • Hello guys please tell me which one is better Samsung galaxy s8plus or note 8 in terms of battery backup and overall experience please tell me guys

  • After learning from others that pie is running good i updated my note 8 but like others i am experiencing similar battery drain issue means battery life has reduced specially in idle mode its draining much faster then older OS version So will a factory reset solve this problem? If YES than is there any Samsung software that make a complete image of all my data including each and every folder inside my mobile memory and then restore it? Or do i need another Samsung mobile for making backup?

  • try to check software update in device setting . or download fresh stock android 9 one ui rom and flash it using odin

  • try to factory reset your device from stock recovery. if it doesnot help try to flash a new fresh stock rom. i m also Note 8 user . i also stucked in bootloop during root process . i tried to reset it but not worked .so i just flashed new stocked rom . Android 9 (One UI) . BE CARE FULL . backup your important data .ur contact . u will lost everything after this process .

  • Note 8 ain't far behind the S9+, runs on the same software as it's newer brother. I'm using Note 8 since quite some time now and it has been a pleasant experience so far.

  • S9 plus . Far better and newer than note 8. More security updates on s9 plus.

  • hii guys.....my note8 was going into boot loop after the battery is empty and the model is N950F>>>did anyone got into this problem and how to fix it and presrve my data...My android is 8....please help me guys

  • Ok so I'm not the only one with this issue after the Pie update. Yes I hope they will release bug fixes soon

  • Hi, I would suggest to go for note8 for sure :)

  • Yeah, the battery has taken a hit after the pie update compared to oreo, I hope they'll release a software update to fix this issue.

  • For the same price htc u12 plus or note 8?

  • Pls am still on android 7. Hw can get an update. Pls I need help .thsnks. no pc available. My model is N950FD

  • After the Pie update I experience faster battery drainage on my Note8

  • Try restting your camera see if that works.

  • Go into message settings. Then click on General notifactions and you will see blink light and set it to come on.

  • I have a problem i got my phone last November on the black Friday sale and since i got it i felt like there's something not working fine with the front camera especially in low light like the picture is blurry or something, until yesterday i met my friend who happened to have a note 8 too and i tested her phone's camera and it was completely different the picture was clear with no blurring so what should i do should i go to the maintenance or what to do??

  • Hello what favorit feats are gone?

  • Last night I updated my note 8, am not happy with the new update. Many favourite features lost. Any way to get my previous software??

  • Check your updates manually every day. It took a while for my Note8 too to get the update. I checked it every day since the announcement of the offcial roll-out. Just have a bit more patience I think.

  • Since I updated to 9.0 Pie, I am unable to set the LED notification light for incoming tekst messages. I think it used to be able in the messages app in settings, but I cannot find it anymore. Or maybe I just don't know where the settings are to be found. However I looked at the LED settings menu and I didn't find anything there too. I have set the LED for whatsapp, but that can be find in the app itself under settings. I thought it was possible in the message app as well before Pie...

  • There are no issues on the Note 8 after updating to pie. The phone runs smoothly without any hiccups, battery life is still great for me it goes down to 2% from night till morning, apps run smoothly, camera is the best and overall it looks like a completely new phone.

  • any idea when the update is in the Philippines?

  • Is it safe to update to Pie ? I have heard about some issues!! People from Pakistan confirm irs running smooth?

  • Hello everyone...plz let me after upgrade to 9.0 pie How is the battery life of note 8 ?? Coz there are some devices like S10+ with 9.0 pie is having only 91 hour endurance rating with 4100mah battery....

  • Received Pie and one UI update in Saudi Arabia, amazing difference, like a new phone. I was about to update to S10+ but after seeing Note 8 perform like a beast on Pie and One UI i’ll wait another year before upgrading. Battery life is also remarkably improved.

  • I finally updated my Note 8 to pie it was about 1904 MB along with February security patch, looks good let's see how it holds up I think it'll be a nice update. Note 8 has really been a superb device.

  • I received the update as well, 1851MB is the size for me.

  • Finally one ui in Pakistan today :)

  • Saudi Arabia, Its happening!!! ONE UI

  • Update today in Latvia! So exited

  • Korean version same today I updated.

  • in romania one ui finally arrived,1904 MB 26 february 2019 :D

  • Today. 25th feb. Malaysia finally received update for note 8. One UI pie.

  • I think around the end of this month. My Note8 also didn't receive the update yet, I am from The Netherlands. Some other European countries already received the update.

  • Anyone know when will galaxy note 8 get update samsung one ui and android 9 in Malaysia ?...

  • At first I said WTF? After a couple days... Getting used to it WOWOWOW Battery is lasting longer.. I like the feel

  • I see thanks, yes the icons are a little different in design. I already have some of the icons with a different design after updating the apps, however I don't find it disturbing or ugly. My Note8 hasn't received the pie update yet but I will see whether I am going to install it right away or wait a little longer. Maybe I wait till my Note FE gets the update and I can try it out on that phone first.

  • Samsung cheated the Note 8(Exynos version )customers, they the Samsung Mobile Promised ,that after Pie update Note 8 will start supporting dual VoLTE, but not

  • My phone has updated to one UI and I don't think any problem with any icons. Lots of people saying they dislike with it. I won't complain anything about one UI, it works great on me. Feeling kind of new sensation with this samsung already. trying to move on from Oreo must be a good idea.

  • I read people saying something about the icons in One UI, what exactly is wrong with the icons? I saw videos of One UI but I don't see anything concerning.

  • Of course I meant the Note bro, its the comments page for this phone, not s8+.

  • Me too in October I got last updated 😪😪😪

  • Looking at various first impressions from users with 9.0 Pie and One UI, I think I might wait with updating. My Note8 still hasn't received the update yet and it's not yet available but I think I will wait till they solved some bugs and other issues.

  • Well, after android pie it kinda feels more laggy and stuttery, when casually using it in menu. With Oreo it was much smoother for me, without any lag...

  • Just received One Ui for android pie update with around 1358.25MB in Southeast Asia.

  • Most of 9.0 and One UI is working fine. Sometimes apps dissappear from the task switcher. Can't hide the task bar anymore. That little dot to double tap on is gone. I'm not sure if there's another way to do it. Today I deleted 2 files totalling 1.4GB from the internal storage but it still shows the same amount of storage used.

  • Anyone got Pie & One UI in Saudi Arabia?

  • Stop being ungrateful, you got latest PIE and ONE UI on your 2 year old device

  • Night Mode, Tap on Display works great, Icons are pretty disappointing and dolby atmos...hardly i feel any difference...doesnt work with most of third party apps

  • Already seeding in India, Hong Kong UAE Vietnam from 15th February Size 1831.42 Version N950FXXU5DSB2 /N950FOXM5DSB2 /N950FXXU5DSB1 + February Security patch

  • any Asian get android 9 on note 8?

  • Installed the update few hours ago and its really amazing you will feel that you are using a new phone specially the night mode... My only concern is the icons design are very poor samsumg must work on that!

  • Just try mate20

  • Please give advantage over note 8

  • Yes...Finally One UI for my beautiful Note8 has arrived...approximately 1.9GB

  • Received the android 9 one UI update today

  • they say in europe all countrys will have a9 till 1 march :)

  • For those who got the one ui update any feedback?

  • Tell me some your opinions to those who had been using android 9 on Note 8. I'm excited for the night mode as I ever read (somewhere maybe), it could help to save more battery. thank you :)

  • How is it? Is it stable? I haven't received anything yet but I think I will wait a little with updating.

  • Just received 1904 MB update, providing Android 9 and OneUI 1.0. Sofia, Bulgaria

  • This phone is very good s-pen for the win really good no competition

  • Go with Mate 20 Pro. It is the best!

  • Mate 20X

  • You can always use a scotch tape or stick on.

  • It is not a smartphone, it is a phablet.

  • Oh yeah? Goodbye Samsung, Huawei is the next leading smartphone brand.

  • Yeah that's exactly what I think too that it should have wide angle lens than that telephoto but yes it's a great phone looks best in its class especially the back of this phone is very unique and stands out in the crowd. I love it!!!

  • I cannot advice anything else than the Note8 but I am biased probably. I haven't use either one of the other phones. However I find the camera quality of the Note8 very excellent. The second camera is used for 2x zoom, however it would have been nicer if it were a wide angle lens.

  • Only beta testers, but the official update will come probably at the end of this month. Just a little more patience.

  • Yes for sure .. But just u need to know about all of features of app that u use it for drawing .. there are many of them like Sony Sketch and for noting Lecture Notese with many features ..

  • Has anyone received android Pie update on Note 8? If you had, tell me some your opinion :)

  • Is this a good phone for drawing? Im a graphic designer and ive been looking for a phone to use with autodesk or other likes.

  • the Note 8 is very good in camera performance very nice phone to have also very decent battery life and extra features no other phone has. Camera of Note8 and OP6T are way better than iPhone 7. Iphone 7 is older and also 2014 design. Do not consider iPhone but go for either Note8 or OP6T, my suggestion is Note8.

  • where to put the M-Pen? the purpose of the S-Pen is to have it always with you stored safely inside the device itself. Whenever you need it, pull it out and use it. That is not possible with the Mate 20 X, the stylus is always an added seperate tool, while the s-pen is always there.

  • which one shall i buy..one plus 6t, i phone 7 plus or note 8 in terms of better camera quality?

  • Note 8 is one of the best smartphone I've ever used in terms of camera, performance and battery. I love it!!

  • You have to keep in mind the Mate 20X' pen is sold separately, and you have to always need to be mindful that you do not lose it. The S Pen does have 4096 levels of pressure, AND tilt input. Even with a tinier diameter, is quite conveniently stored in the Note until you need it. Even if I have bought a separate "regular sized" S Pen for the Tab S4, it's still a hassle to carry a separate full digital pen. I find the default S Pen really handy. Mate 20X is an attempt copy from all the years Galaxy Note have existed. It's not unique. No tilt input.

  • That is just you thought, Samsung note is still the best, i think you even not ever use one.

  • Mate 20X comes with a bezel-less full screen (beautiful 7.2" AMOLED, from Samsung). Mate 20X is designed to be used with a M-pen (with 4096 levels of pressure sensitivity) specifically crafted for Mate 20X. (M-pen is a normal-sized real pen, unlike the s-pen which is a tiny-sized toy pen.) Once you have used Mate 20X, you will not want to go back to any other recent smartphones ever again because they are simply too "common", too "as usual", too "one among many". Mate 20X is the most versatile smartphone in history, and the most beautiful compact tablet ever made. It is compact enough to be used as a phone, yet spacious enough to be used as a tablet. A perfect crossover. Mate 20X comes with that special WOW factor which is missing in all other recently released phones. You simply can't relate this phone to any other phones. It is one of a kind. It is peerless.

  • It's also a great phone with great battery life and amazing cameras but it has low screen resolution, ips screen looks inferior compared to amoled also it lacks ip68 certification.

  • Thanks! How about the Huawei Mate 20???

  • If you need the s-pen then go with the note 8 and if money is not an issue go with the newer S9+ as it'll get more updates in the future than note 8.

  • Yes where is SAR value??? has it disappear gsmarena??? It was showed before... why deleted the value on this section gsmarena? I like to see it! greetings Alberto from Brazil

  • Samsung Galaxy S9+ vs Samsung Galaxy Note 8 vs Huawei Mate 20. Which one is the best???

  • Hello i recommend to buy note8 it is as good as note9 also nicer design. it saves you some money too and also bluetooth s-pen is nice feature but not worth extra money for note9. so best advice to buy note8 bro it is a fine choice

  • Why aren't the SAR values mentioned in the spec list? A lot of people find that important. EU Head: 0.173 W/kg Body: 1.29 W/kg USA Head: 0.61 W/kg (Exynos) Head: 0.7 W/kg (SD835) Body: 0.56 W/kg (Exynos) Body: 0.93 W/kg (SD835) Please add it in the spec list GSMarena!

  • Definitely G7 has better audio quality thanks to the high quality DAC. Note 8 gonna get Dolby Atmos with pie update so let's see how good it works.

  • Maple gold.

  • Thanks bro which colour are U using

  • how about audio jack? compare to g7, here's 384 khz, 32 bit, and in g7 only 192 khz, so is quality is the same good, or maybe g7 still better cause of dac?

  • If you wanna save money and get a good phone then note 8 is the right choice for you. I was also in a dilemma whether to go for note 8 or note 9 or the S9+ and I made the right decision by choosing the note 8 as it's as good as the latest flagships and I saved a lot of money with which I can buy other things I need to show off, ha, ha ;-)

  • Hello guys I am confuse should I buy note 8 or note 9 I watch some YouTube video andbis like the phone do not have much difference I want to save money please help I don't want to make the wrong choice

  • Yeah I was also surprised to see the note FE on that list but it's good that Samsung didn't forget the older flagships.

  • So it means it will probably come at the end of this month. I wonder if the Note FE really gets the Pie update in March. If so, it shows that they didn't forget about the Note FE even if only a relatively small number of these phones were sold.

  • It'll get pie this month, here's the list of Samsung phones which are due to get the update:

  • In the Samsung Members app the schedule for the update still says March.

  • I think it'll come around the mid or end of February as Samsung's quite lazy updating the older flagships.

  • Its February! Waiting for one UI update

  • Hi, i am having problem with my sensors after updating to Oreo. is there any solution for this right now except replacing the motherboard (as advised by Samsung Service Centers). What would probably be the reason of this issue?

  • I really wish they had a wide angle lens on the note 8 instead of the telephoto lens which is ok but not of much use. The wide angle lens could have been really handy.

  • There are coming some changes in the AOD with android 9 pie. The default setting is going to be like Nokia Glance Screen, tap the screen to show the AOD for 30 seconds, then it turns off (Nokia Glance Screen was hovering your hand over the display to show the glance screen). You can change it in the settings to be really always on. I think that's a nice feature, it saves battery and can be activated anytime you want for 30 seconds.

  • I had used the S7 edge in the past and it was one of the sexiest phone. I had the silver titanium and it was a head turner for sure with great performance and superb camera I used it for over a year. It's really sad that Samsung forgot this beast and limited it to Oreo although it could've handled the pie update with ease.

  • I have to admit that I get updates for monthly security patches every month since I have the phone from October 2017, so that is much better than I expected from Samsung.

  • Thanks. Seems like Sammy_boys have improved their update delivery frequency. S7 edge hardly received any security patches :D and the performance dropped a bit after like 6 months of use. One UI will hopefully make things even better. Cheers and thanks for the reply :)

  • Dude, note 8 is a beast!! It's blazing fast and snappy, battery life easily lasts for over a day and the camera is awesome. Updates are regular got the January security patch update already and it's due for pie next month. If you're going for the note 9 then blindly go for it but right now I'm really enjoying my note 8 :-)

  • 25 MB update? Well the last update I got was for January security patch which was around 560 MB and even after updating my phone the battery life is still going great.

  • Battery life

  • Overall performance and the screen note 8 the best. Phone. And many far better than s8. No more battery difference. Samsung Note is really executive hand set. I am using since JUL 2018. since than i enjoying with using it. its best for youtube netfilix.

  • Go for the note 8, i was also in a dilemma whether to go for this or the S8+ and I'm glad I chose the note 8. It has 6 GB RAM compared to the S8+ with dual cameras and the s-pen which is really handy, also I like the boxy design of the note 8 than the curved design of the S8+

  • Samsung galaxy note 8 or samsung galaxy s8 plus which one is best in term of battery life please replay guys

  • Which one s8 plus or note 8

  • Go with this phone with your eyes closed. Samsung nailed it as close as possible with this device, period.

  • Hi guys I am planning to buy Samsung galaxy s8 plus or note 8 which one is better in terms of battery life and overall experience please tell me guys

  • Of course it is and it will be in the coming years too. It's a great phone!!

  • I don't know why, after security device update for January, the phone's battery drain quickly. the update is just around 25MB. Anyone has same problem with me? Hoping, update for android Pie, this phone doesn't have any problem with the battery.

  • Guys, How's your Note 8 held up against time? Timely updates? Did anyone experience the phone slowing down over time? Is it still snappy or a bit slower than it used to be?? How much screen on time you get in an average day? (I'm curious to know how samsung is treating the Note line, I have a S7 edge and planning to upgrade to a Note 9 in a couple of weeks) (Note 9 is essentially the same phone with a few minor upgrades, what I really I want to know if samsung forget about their last year flagships once they release a new one. That's why I'm asking this from Note 8 fans) Thanks in Advance :)

  • So you mean that this phone is stil better choice in 2019?

  • Both are great. I was quite worried about it's battery life the day I got it as I had read some negative comments about the battery being poor but that wasn't the case. I'm not a gamer so it stays for over a day with wifi on all day (except when I go to bed) use it a lot for social networking sites and camera.

  • and how about battery and performance

  • You'll fall in love with the note 8 once you try it out at store near you.

  • Note8 has more features than the Mate 10 pro, and a bigger screen with higher ppi.

  • Note8

  • Good

  • vs mate 10pro

  • I'm really impressed with this phone. It reminds me of my previous S6 edge+ which was fantastic and one of the few phones I used for years. When I bought the S6 edge+ it was one of the sexiest phone out there and now the note 8 is on the same track. I've only good things to write about it good battery life, great cameras infact I've become a photographer since I got this phone lol!! I really love to watch movies on it's gorgeous screen and the s-pen is great advantage as now I don't have to write down the things on paper which I need from the grocery store. All in all a perfect phone at a great price.

  • Note 8 has a certain edge over the S8+ with 6 GB RAM, dual cameras and of course the s-pen.

  • I've had the phone for a year and have nothing but good things to say about it. I have the DEX to make it a desktop computer but i mostly use it to watch YouTube videos on my TV. I hear the Note 9 has a built in DEX which is nice but I'm not spending big bucks again, ill wait until this phone breaks before i buy another one. FYI, i had the Note 2 for almost 6 years before it blew-up. If Samsung keeps making quality products i wont have a reason to look elsewhere. :-)

  • Iam not saying that note 8 is a bad phone but i recommen s8 or s8 plus

  • The battery life is by far not bad. It's actually pretty good. I have to see and wait how the battery will behave after the Pie update in March according to the Samsung members app. So far the battery performs well enough. I am not a heavy user so for me it actually performs great. My Nokia 5.1 plus is better with batterylife but I can't complain about the Note8 with the bigger screen and much higher PPI.

  • No it isn't I got it couple of days back and I'm highly satisfied with it's battery life and performance. Superb phone.

  • Around 7.5hours Screen on time.

  • Battery life's really good it isn't bad by any means it holds up pretty well. It just dropped by 2% from night till morning which is remarkable, I had nightmares with the battery life of my S8 which used to go down by 10-15% overnight but this one is excellent. I'm really happy with my note 8 :-)

  • You can disable the Bixby button in the settings when you're on the Bixby home screen. I did that too because frankly it's quite annoying when you accidentally press the button, which did happen really often. About disabling the Bixby home screen, simply tap and hold a blank area on the home screen, then swipe to the far left, and switch the Bixby home screen off. There is little switch in the upper right corner, turning blue or grey depending on whether you switch it off or on.

  • is the battery life really bad?

  • Got my note 8 (maple gold) today with free tempered glass and back glass protector, got tons of updates as it was running on 7.1 updated it to oreo with some security patches. The screen is really gorgeous and so is the phone, although it weighs 195 gm but doesn't feel like, the phone is really tall and I like big phones as I've big hands. Hope it turns out to be a good investment :-)

  • Bro you should buy the note 8 this phone is a legend and it is better than the p20 and i wanna to tell you that i gonna buy the note 8 after few days and the most important thing is that he worth it in 2019

  • Can someone tell me what's the exact SOT (screen on time) of note 8.

  • can we disable Bixby ? also disable the button ?

  • Guyss, note 8 or huawei p20 for 2019 ? Need help, and tell me why..

  • I read about some people had an update of around 750MB, I just got an update of around 560MB, January security patch.

  • Yeah true the back of note 8 looks cool but you've a better phone. I also wanted to buy the note 9 but it's very expensive fortunately I got a good deal on note 8 and I really love that phone getting it tomorrow :-)

  • I was desperate in getting the deep sea blue but it's not available anymore so I opted for the maple gold. I've used a lot of blacks in the past and wanted some change, black phones always look stunning no doubt about that but I went for the gold as it's somewhere close to silver. I wish they had the silver titanium for note 8 just like the S7 edge, that color is simply stunning!!

  • Which should i get Note 8 or google pixel 2 xl? Regarding all aspects Display camera battery life user experience

  • The Maple Gold looks nice, I have simply the black version. Other colors were not available where I live, so only Black and Gold. It would have been nice if they made a white version as well like they did with the Note9.

  • I have Note 9 but back design of note 8 is much more better .. And i miss my note 8 just becoz this

  • Thanks! I also love the boxy design of note 8 and I definitely prefer it over the S8/S9 especially the back side with rectangular camera frame which I think looks quite unique, the back of the S9 looks more like an A8 though. Well as far as the color is concerned, they've black, grey and maple gold here so I'm gonna go for the maple gold which looks more like silver and that rectangular camera frame would really standout with a clear case on. Getting it this Friday :-)

  • That's a good choice, which color did you purchase? I am not a fan of Samsung really, I only like the Note series. The S8 and S9 look fine, no notch, but they're too rounded for my taste, the Note8 and the Note9 are a little more boxier and the curve on the screen is less pronounced, I like that better. The size is something you get used to very quickly. And by today's standards, the size of the Note8 is pretty moderate by now.

  • I have update my phone note8 yesterday with 750mb. After this update my phone's battery drain quickly. Please tell me any solutions if you have.

  • Dear after this update my phone's battery drain quickly. Please tell if you have any solutions.

  • You're right there are a lot of paid Chinese phone promoters in Samsung's forum you can find them posting crap on A7 (2018) and note 9 forums too. They're trying their level best to pull down Samsung devices and promote their Chinese crap.

  • Thanks again Aadrian for all your help. I'm currently using the A7 (2018) everything is good about it except the camera which is a mess, the battery life is awesome and easily lasts for 1.5-2 days. I'm getting a brand new note 8 for $501 and I really like it's design which looks way better than the S9 series.

  • You my friend are a troll. i have it from a year and half and best device i ever had. still give me a full day of battery backup on moderate to heavy usage. finger print scanner not even once lagged, its still fast and does everything you throw at it, you maybe posted this review from a cheap Huawei or Mi device.

  • Thanks for the information. I have not gotten any such update yet. Still on December security patch.

  • Have you tried unpairing and re pairing. The speakers and tweeters could be 2 separate channels. Try enabling dual audio in the bluetooth settings on the phone, it might work. Also check some other phone with your car system to see if it's the same issue..

  • Another 750+ MB update came through. It said the device security has been updated. Though the security patch is still the same as December which already came through before...

  • The camera is good, altough the 2x zoom isn't much of use. They could have better implemented a wide-angle lens like LG does. However the pictures are of good quality. The battery performace is ok, but I have the idea since the last security patch update, it's gotten a little worse. Maybe I am mistaken but it's just the feeling. I can get about 1,5-2 days but I am not a heavy user.

  • Thanks a lot for your reply. Kindly throw some light on its camera and battery performance.

  • I would go for the Note8, much better and you get the s-pen. Don't want the s-pen, then don't use it. It's an added feature which you can't get with the S9+.

  • s9 plus .

  • I have paired my Note8 via bluetooth to my car's multimedia system for both hands-free calls and audio streaming. Three days ago, while on a call, the sound dropped suddenly and i noticed it was coming only through the tweeters instead of all the speakers in the car. (Audio streaming still comes through all the speakers.) I have tried everything i know but still calls come only through the tweeters in the car. Can someone help me solve this problem? Thanks.

  • I'm torn between this and the S9+, which one should I go for?

  • Will it be in the form of Jan 1st security update or Feb 1st. I'm still pm November 1st 2018 security patch

  • Absolutely yes

  • It will come in feb 2019

  • Yes probably it gets the update in the spring

  • As of now Is it worth 450 Euro?!!

  • update not coming now wait till april for note 8

  • Waiting for ONE UI on my note 8

  • Sorry mate, didn't reply.. But the December patch is out.. Have you been able to download it..?

  • That is strange if you ask me. My Note8 is from October 2017 and it shows 97% in AccuBattery app.

  • Got this for 5 months and its mobile data damn sucks. Very poor for online gaming!!!!! I am so disappointed!

  • I have installed Accubattery and in that app battery life for my Note 8 is being showed as 96%, is it right? I have purchased my Note 8 around 1 month ago.

  • Where did you buy this device from? An authorized retailer?

  • hi everyday, I bought note 8 about a month ago but I don't know whether it's original. can someone help me? thank you.

  • How about a hard reset and try to run the update again? Make a back up first. You can try to wipe cache partition if the hard reset is not working effectively enough.

  • I downloaded mine and installed it perfectly fine today

  • Yesterday, I have also tried to download it manually but after 5 to 6 times try could not. Everytime error came that some file missing of 1.39 and 1.58 MB missing. Please advice.

  • You have finger, not pen. Duuhhhh !!!!!

  • Complete waste of money. I am using it for last 1 year, it has significantly slowed down over in fact, it got slowed down in the first 3-4 months. Battery timing is okay, finger print and face unlock are unreliable and slow as a snail. Not recommended

  • I have checked the battery health of my Note 8 and it's 97.88%, is it good or not?

  • So because something isn't of apparent use to you, it's 'useless' for everyone?

  • Note 8

  • Thank you so much mate for your opinion

  • Why only Note series? Why not S series and J, A and C series? Because to the Note series you have an useless S-Pen?

  • No. With this thing i'm not joking. Really, man.

  • Thx for the info....I downloading it

  • The December secutirty patch is seeding to the Note8. I just downloaded and installed it, something like 522MB if I remember correctly.

  • Your joking right?

  • Volte is in India, go for it

  • Pls help me Im going to buy note8 N9500 China model but I have a doubt that Volte will not support here in India if it doesn’t than is there any solution to use Volte

  • If the phone is unlocked, it will work I think. In Indonesia they also have the global variant as far as I know. For LTE, check if the LTE bands are the same as used in Indonesia.

  • Hi. I have Note 8 950F dual sim model in Greece. I want to give it to a friend of mine who lives in Indonesia. Will it work with his sim card, there? Thanks.

  • Help me please which is better note 8 or Huawei mate 20

  • Good phone buy only note series

  • It's really your own decision, compare both phones and look at what's more important to you, like IP rating, or fast updates, S-pen, or the latest chipset.

  • I know the specs of the Mate 20 Pro. But it has ugly ass notch, no pen and Samsung have better CPU, camera and display than this copycat.

  • hey guys i need your help, which should i pick, the Note8 or the OnePlus 6

  • Incredible fone note8

  • I suggest Nokia or Sony, faster updates and in the case of Nokia it's android one, Sony has a very light but good skin, both garantueed for quick updates.

  • Hey 'Huawei Sucks' (the username lol). You read Huawei Mate 20 Pro specifications? Huh?

  • I suggest you Honor play

  • No update coming qliy

  • Care to explain how Huawei is better than Sammy? Huawei is nothing but copycat lol

  • Hi all. I need your advice. I'm selling my Note8 because I need some of the money from the sale. That another Samsung phone of lower range advise me or another brand such as Huawei or Sony. Thank you

  • With 2019 around the corner, is the note 8 still an excellent phone or does the OnePlus 6T dominate it? I know all the specs and everything just want someone who has used the either phone and can suggest which one is better. Thank you

  • I dont want to repair my screen just for the sake of removing screen burn in.

  • Yes, but, Huawei is more good than Samsung.

  • You go to a service with it ?

  • Nokia is the best, but i use note 8 now si ce launch. Very good phone s-pen unbeaten by others. Nokia 8.1 soon will be second phone soon but note 8 stays. Now buy note 8 and be happy because it ery good phone!!

  • I already used last 8 month my note 8, but battery performance is very poor. What can I do?

  • my note 8 screen have severe keyboard, weather widget and even icon burn in. oh well...

  • your phone is new, battery needs a lot of time to regenerate its power. wait about 4 5 day and you will see how you battery will become more powerfull. pr if you want check samsungs battery health try this app phone info *samsung* and on personal section you can see battery health.

  • hi all, just got my Note 8 yesterday. havent been so happy with its battery. my galaxy s8 had a better battery life and it wasnt draining as quick as this note 8.. i wonder what may be the problem. any1 else has a similar experience with the note8?? Kindly advice on how to go about getting battery life. because my s8 used to b lasting full day from 8am till 7pm with 34% battery remaining. this one from 8am ill 2pm and its 48% already.. I thought it might stabilise but so far not so good.

  • The Note8 is has more features, so it is better. It is wisely to go for the Note8.

  • That issue appeared since when?

  • Iphone is good but samsung is better in everyway! Camera, battery, performance, display, charging etc etc.

  • Note 8 is better than s8+

  • Can any one tell which one best to buy s8+ are note8

  • That issue appeared since when?

  • My nexus 6p had similar problem which was caused by the battery degradation. Currently on Note 8 with battery degrading happening i feel.

  • Hi, I'm planning to buy a galaxy s10 next year. I have never used a Samsung phone before. I was about to buy iPhone XS max last month but after knowing about the S10 I thought of trying it out. So my question to all the Samsung users is that how much is the longevity of Samsung smartphones? When do the issues like battery degradation, laggy performance etc start to occur? and when does the phone totally feels outdated? with iPhones I know if I get the latest one now, I won't have to worry for at least 3 yrs. What about Samsung? I do not want to change the phone for at least 2.5 to 3 years. Should I go for S10? After reading that guy's comment which is 2 comments below this one I think I should stay away from Samsung Thanks

  • Wtf are you serious? Didn't know that battery on note 8 degrades so quickly. You cannot do anything to solve this problem. Last time I had this problem on my micromax phone in the year 2013 had to get a new battery and then had to throw it away. Is this your first samsung phone? I am planning to buy S10 next year do u recommend me to buy it?

  • change the keyboard to Gboard, problem should be solved.

  • Hi Guys I need piece of advice if some can extend his/her support. i have been using Note 8 for almost 8 months now. I am now facing issue that as soon as the batter drain to 15%, it drops to 0% in less than 1 min. anyone knows about this and so we have a solution available to this problem

  • I have a question i have been using the device for around a week nw i got it on the black friday offers but i noticed something that is very frustrating, the keyboard sometimes when texting a couple of people in the same time stops working and just freezes until i lock and unlock the phone again !! I got the phone cause i was tired of my A7 being slow but now this is giving me hard time so is the problem with my device should i ask for a return or what shall i do ??

  • note 8 will not have 5g support coz it doesnt have 5g antenna band & to support 5g u shuld have dat

  • note 8

  • can u tell me how to reset new ic please im experiencing same problem

  • mine too. only finger print and face unlock working all other not working fortunately nmy n8 still under warranty, Samsung tech says the ic sensor is busted and motherboard needs replacement. go to your nearest Samsung official repair center.

  • note 8 .. best phone

  • Note 8 sensors not working after update. Can anybody help me out.

  • Yes

  • This is the best phone I had. I will start with the camera - the pictures are great. Everyone askes me if I am using a pro-camera. It has a lot of functions including panorama, slow motion and more. The phone is very fast, even with games like fortnite. The screen is amazing. The phone is a little bit big (6.3), but still it is nice to hold it. The last thing I love is the pen. It is very useful for notes and many more. I wish Samsung will continue to manufacture this kind of phones (I read that the note 9 is the last one).

  • in Qatar its 1700 QAR

  • Which is best between s7edge and note8?

  • Most of them yes, that's better than I expected.

  • Just ordered Note 8 from UAE souq although i had used my s8+ only for 10 days but trying to sell it as already ordered Note 8. What you guys say was it a wise decision because it was great deal on souq only costing around $465

  • Did you receive monthly security paches on time since the day you bought the device?

  • do u want install version 8.1.0

  • The device is great in all concerns except the battery; stands for about one and half days with average use, and the finger scanner not easy in the beginning then becomes easy.

  • I'm receiving the November security patch on the Note8 now.

  • Have you been using any magnetic case or car mount etc. If yes so remove it and give a try your touch will gonna be work well.

  • Go for note 8

  • Note 8 bigtym, Spen comes very handy and useful if u like taking notes, scribbling or editing pics, sending live msgs etc...and same said is true..less curvy looks way better than S9+, but its ur prefence ..then there is not much of difference in a day to day basis in terms of performance.

  • The same price, then it's in favor for the Note8 which has more features. Screensizes are pretty much the same just like the build, but the Note8 simply has more features and the s-pen is of added value. Personally I like the Note8 design better, and it has as less curved screen which is for me better. But that's a personal preference.

  • What do you guys think is worth note 8 or the s9? They have the same price at the moment i would like a suggestion ty

  • There was some file missing of 1.09 MB

  • Using this phone since january 2018 and really its the best samsung phone i have ever used specially the camera! Who got note 8 will not mind about the note 9 at all! Can't wait to see the new UI running on the note 8

  • What was the error you got..

  • Have u recently changed the screen guard? That may cause the problem... Check if it's responding to hard touch... I mean does pressing hard works or not

  • Yesterday I have received security patch update but after so many tries could not download as everytime error came. Kindly advise.

  • Note 8, so much more features for your money.

  • What should i buy samsung note 8 or apple iphone 7 plus/iphone 8 ?

  • I am facing basically 3 problems with this phone: 1. It is heavier compared to Samsung A series phone. 2. Battery gets drained too quickly. Good thing is, with turbo charger it gets charged up very quickly too. 3. Worst part is its volume suddenly increases to full automatically. This is very bad for ears, especially when you are wearing head phones.

  • I found the November security patch has come in today. May have arrived for some users a few days back.

  • I have been using the Note 8 for 10 months, suddenly my upper screen isn't responding anymore with my fingers but works with the S-pen.Meanwhile the lower part of the screen is working with my fingers. Any Help out Please 😭😭😢

  • It's running fine... only battery charge is getting dropped fastly whie playing pubg

  • I have a question for indian note 8 users that hows ur pubg experiences i mean it lags or not?

  • no

  • everyone is facing the same problem. i used my note 8 for only 2 months and all the sensors stopped working. there is no way you can fix this, the only solution is take it to the service center and get the motherboard replaced.

  • No. 5G needs dedicated hardware. Software updates cannot make 5G available for Note 8

  • I am using Samsung note8 from last 6months. After software update some of my sensors(auto rotate and GPS) not working and Give error message (moisture detected on usb port unplug ur charger). If anybody have solutions please let me know.

  • Surely the Note8, I personally won't buy another galaxy series Samsung except for the Note series.

  • Will NOTE 8 support 5g in future...

  • Note 8 it’s Amazing Device

  • Note 8 if you want the stylus, S8 if you have small 👐. I wanted the stylus and I have small 👐 and that was the only downside. However with one ui it might make the one hand usage not a big problem.

  • I am note 8 user. After Oreo update, my phone's Sensors was not working. So I went to several software specialists and tried their best to regain Sensors by hard factory reset. Finally I went to hardware specialist and he found a hardware problem that is Sensors 's ic's damage. He reset a new ic and my phone is working well. Thanks everyone.

  • S8 or note8... Help please..what should i buy?

  • It has GG 5, which is more shatterproof in comparison with 4, but the downside is that it is more prone to scratches than GG 4. So if you already have some (minor) scratches, I would suggest to use a screen protector which can curve with the screen edges. I bought one from eBay a year ago which I use on the back of the Phone to prevent scratches.

  • I am using this mobile from last 5 months, does it has really corning gorilla glass because I found some scratches on its screen even I use it with great care. Please tell me should I protect it with additional protection (any recommended)? Thanks

  • I am using this phone for over a year but I don't have any problems according to the sensors.

  • some peoples says that note8 have some sensors errors coming in times. Can I have any information about it please.

  • Try factory resetting your phone, that should sort it. Make sure you've backed up everything on the Samsung account, Google account whichever you use.. Back up apps via Samsung cloud and it should be fine.. Many Note 8 users reported better responses from their Note 8 after a factory reset post Oreo update... I later did it on my Note 8 and it works fine.

  • at first i thought it was weird, but then i realized i only use my phone from 9am to 5pm set in medium batery saving mode, and the average usage time is 30mins to 40 mins 4g facebook browse and all day maybe im sending watsapp and fb messenger around 20 messege and from 9am my baterry is 90% when 5pm only40-50%9 (work days) i think battery drains so fast when compair to iphone. or it is just factory defect samsung should review all note 8 just like what apple did when ipod nano had batery defect, they chage

  • This could vary depending on the user. If it is being used quite a lot throughout the day on mobile data and games it may have to be charged sooner than later. You could consider the Note 9 a few months later as the price will drop. The battery at 4000mah will last longer than the one in the Note 8 under similar conditions.

  • Yeah I got it too, on the 20th.

  • I have a double SIM Samsung Note 8 Everything else is fine, Battery timing is very bad

  • Definitely the Note8, it gives you much more value for money and more features with the s-pen.

  • I got the October security patch for my Note8 today.

  • S8 plus or note 8 same price brand new

  • It's been exactly 1 year this week since I got my Note8. Here's the statistic of my typical usage with screen on time, wifi, data and at what average percentage I charge during the first 3 weeks: Here's my stats today: The screen on time at a new battery can go upto 7 5 hours. 5.5 hours SOT by 2nd month. Presently, it can go up to 4.5 hours SOT. You can do the math - I get 25 minutes of SOT with a drain of 10% of the present battery. My battery efficiency is 94%, according to Accubattery app when fully charged. So the actual battery is capacity is around 3100mAh+, instead of the original 3300mAh new battery. Wear and tear as expected. I keep the charge from not reaching below 40%, up to only some 80% to keep the battery cycles optimal... meaning of would last longer to hold more capacity in the long term. But heck, I'm already thinking of having the sealed battery changed at this time around. That will be $80+, and 3 days because they need to cure the waterproofing.

  • phone is excellent . only Dolby atmos missing.if Samsung provides Dolby atmos in next software update phone rocks.

  • Yes, even S10 was release, they doesn't get the S Pen and all the feature that Note already has from a Note1. That's true, that's why Note user using for a long period or even lifetime using it for a strong reason. I'm personally prove that stylus from Samsung it's a things lot useful for daily life more easier :)

  • Agreed. I also have no problems after a full year of use. Anyone knows more about an update to android 9? I am sure it won't be coming this year, but I certainly hopes it will come before spring at least. It works fine with 8.0 nevertheless.

  • Anybody telling this phone lags or need to be charged twice daily is a liar or doesnt own one. i have this phone from over a year and it never lagged nor i had to charge it twice ever. i am a heavy social media user and this thing lasts me 24 hours easily on a single charge on medium to heavy usage. i am skipping note 9 upgrade since this deveice fulfills all my needs. anyone thinking to buy it just go for it, it would easily last for another year around the big boys note 9 and xs max

  • I've used this as my daily phone for over a year and i had never come across the need to charge it twice a day. For those planning on getting the note8, don't trust the word of an online nobody whose information is unreliable and secondhand. Read legitimate reviews and check out the unit for yourself before making a purchase.

  • big screen, nice cpu but similar to s6,nice gpu similar to s7edge, and yeah battery is so small that you need to charge 2-3 times a day even its on battery save mode i dont recommend buying S series J and A series got more battery life and performance compared to S series and they are cheaper S series got only bigger screen and made quality thats it.

  • I would like to get a device that can deliver 12 hours of accumulated use. The only thing closer to being close to that is the iPad 2018 - 10+ hours, if I use it till it drains out of power. Annoyingly, the Note8 can only give me around less than 5 hours of average screen on time. This is the limitation of sealed and small batteries. A Note9 would only give another 20% increase in battery, but the 9 will just give some 10% more actual use time. It would be totally different if I could replace it with a 10,000 mAh battery. But since companies like Apple and Samsung figured out they have extra earnings from sealed battery replacements at around $80, or discouraging people from renewing batteries because of the high price so they could sell more new phones.

  • s9+

  • Definitely note 8

  • Anyone here experienced the auto rotate screen not working? tried few methods from the net but none of them works for my note 8, happened when I upgraded it to Oreo.

  • My friend is using one and he needs twice charging a day. Good luck to those who are planning to get this phone unless you know how to repair the battery, battery calibration and Hibernation Manager. Otherwise don't forget to buy a powerbank at the same time. I was using Samsung phone several times and mostly disappointed. The price and its quality is not tally. Try other phones like Huawei Mate 10 Pro or Huawei P20 Pro. No, Huawei is not paying me to write this but I just get a little pissed seeing how Samsung is charging much for a so-so quality phone.

  • Note 8

  • For sure note 8 stand alone product till yet expect note9

  • sir how is the note 8 music quality through earphones. in youtube reviews they said note 8 music quality average.is it true.please clarify

  • Thankyou

  • Plz guyz... guide me ... I want to buy a smartphone...what you all prefer to go with..Note 8 or s8 +??? previously I was used s8 now I want to upgrade

  • Coming weekend I am using the Note8 for exactly 1 year and I don't find any issues with lagging to be honest. I assumed the worst but all with all it's nothing. Getting frequent security patch updates, android 9.0 is coming next year I think. It's safe to buy this phone, it's feature packed. No other phone except for the Note9 has more features than this one.

  • Does anyone know what free fonts that you can get from any website or internet which is compatible to this Note 8 ?

  • This will be my first note device but plz help me out...is it ok to buy this device now considering that its an year old device and samsung's ui tends to lag after couple of months and how is it in terms of software updates and battery life

  • I think if you're used to a Note series... don't change back to a regular series. It's a step backwards if you ask me. Better go for the Note8.

  • Hello guys, I am having a problem deciding between this and s9+. I have never used any other galaxy phone other than the note series. My note4 still works like clockwork but I am thinking of upgrading. Should I take this over s9+? I know Note9 is the best galaxy out there right now but it is beyond my budget. Note 8 or s9+? Anyone?

  • I used to have s8..i loved it so much..very satisfied with the camera..not laging..I buy S9+ because i lost my s8..i have note also..i suggest s9+

  • Please give update fast

  • No help needed i flashed with another rom ;)

  • I now have note 8 if your choice is only on that three then note 8 but i would tell you s9 plus!

  • please help me which phone to buy s8+ s9 or note8.. id prefer camera and performance

  • I can't advice about a phone I don't have or used like the Asus. But my experience with the Note8 after one year is a good one. You can get more features from the Note8 compared to the Asus Zenfone. I can only say if you buy the Note8 you will have a very good phone for the coming years to come, with the extra s-pen features.

  • i have note 8 dual sim and still stuck with 1 july patch in software info i get this numbers: 1)N950FXXU3CRF4 2)N950FOXM3CRF7 can anyone help me for which market is my phone i when im gonna get update? regards

  • Asus will never win over samsung. I will go for note 8

  • Superb phone. excellent battery timing excellent display and camera. everything is perfect.

  • Note 8 of course. It has class leading specs and you can never ignore the camera.

  • Asus Zenfone 5z or Samsung note 8??? Since the price of z5z 8gb ram 256gb storage same as note 8 6/64 gb..which one better?? Overall package worth?? Not only for the soc..of coz z5z will win..tq

  • Can I use an N9500 LCD Replacement screen on my N950F?

  • how to get beauty mode fro rear camera, as i used to take great pictures on s6 edge.

  • its oreo 8.0.0 and i received security patch update date: 1st September 2018

  • A printed version or an online one? Online can be found on the website.

  • my Samsung note 8 don't have user manual in english

  • if your phone can upgrade to android 8 or 8.1 then its original but maybe refurbished. note 8 clines cant upgrade to android 8

  • i checked with IMEI and S/N i matched with the box and sticker which is paste on back of the phone so phone is original.

  • hi friends i bought note 8 week ago, when i am taking pictures, result is very blurry and not sharp also very noisy in good light. i do the reset setting of camera, and clear cache from android system partition. but the problem is still remain the same. somebody ask me that your phone is original or not, i surprised is there any possibility to check my phone is genuine. i bought it from UAE market. expect camera all things are works fine like speed, multitasking, games, etc i haven't felt that this is not an original product. please help i am worried and i just bought this phone for camera purpose as my secondry gadget against the dslr.

  • how do i confirm that this is original there is any way to confirm the hardware of camera. by the way all other things are works fine. only camera have that issues.

  • Hie folks, am getting note 8 at $510. Is it worth going for it? Or to go for s8 at $380?

  • "Here we go again, still stuck in 12mp from the past 2 years, now with the same 12mp in telephoto lens as well.." People who just only see better camera from Megapixel only, means you're only care about resolution from your image result, but Not inside of the quality image as a truth. Samsung improving their camera performance greatly without increasing megapixel

  • I am using Note 8 in Pakistan for past 10 months. Great phone with superb camera and performance. However, I was worried about not having received oreo update or any security update for that matter since I bought this phone. Then I came to know that mine is an American (Sprint) version (N950U) and since the phone is not on Sprint, it is not receiving the updates released by the carrier. I had to do a thorough research as to how to update my phone in this situation. After rigorous search online, I was able to download and successfully install oreo update through a somewhat technical process. But now I'm loving it and trying new features. Note 8 is definitely one of the most powerful phones I have ever used. Deals with all kinds of job thrown at it with flying colors and the camera is one of the best in market. Touchwiz is bit of let down for such a powerful phone BUT Samsung version of android has definitely come a long way since Galaxy s6 etc. Looking forward to android 9 :)

  • very strange. Note 8 camera is still one of the best in business and outperforms my friend's iPhone x in some situations. U probably don't have a genuine unit..

  • are u sure u have an original Note 8 because what you say is impossible. The Note 8 camera is one of the best out there

  • Who to update note 8 camara

  • Great phone i have it for 1 year. Possibly the second best phone out there after the note 9. Good quality pictures, and very powerful 6 gb of ram.

  • hi all please help i just bought the Note 8 week ago. I bought this phone just because of camera. camera picture quality is too bad didn't handle to take moving picture like sports and kids capture image having blur, also steady images quality is very noisy even in the bright daylight please help me out. i was using Huawei mate 10 lite, and very happy with camera instead of Note 8 camera

  • Update in Pakistan brings AR emoji and Super Slow-Mo option, plus i was unable to connect to blue tooth (my Car) since Oreo update and now its fixed.

  • Last night i updated to September 1st update and there isn't any problem at all camera working fine even with extra features. Update officially available in Pakistan.

  • Just updated to September 1 Update and working fine there isn't any problem in camera at all...Update in Pakistan

  • That is my guess, since Samsung is not that quick with updates...

  • good idea..

  • It will be skipped and probably directly updated to 9.0

  • What? I works fine, don't lie to people...

  • dont update september 1st update! Camera now without image stabilisation!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sammy what you did god damned!

  • Where r u? I dont get any update (indonesia)

  • Just got the September update, with super slow motion and emoji. Phone is global version.

  • Why oreo 8.1 haven't yet note 8

  • I updated September security ptch level

  • If they are unlocked versions, then no matter, both good.

  • note 8 have android 8 for all the regions and 9 will come on the easter :)

  • Hello guys, i want to ask you should i buy p20, note8 ot s9? Give me pros/cons of every phone, and your personal experience.

  • Don't expect it anytime soon. The 8.0 oreo update hasn't been out long for this phone. My guess: next year April.

  • Note 8 Korean version or Vietnam which good

  • When Pie (9) update will come ?

  • September 2018 update give me problems of battery , I have like 1-2 less screen on time

  • No update yet bro... waiting..

  • is your phone rooted ??

  • Can any update in septembar for note 8 in India.. My last patch update was 1 august

  • What i know that number just represent that phone made in what country.. Dont worry is not bad quality.

  • Since last 8-10 days, all the sensors stopped working, the phone is frequently restarting. Did cache wipe, factory reset, still same problem. I am into last few days of warranty. Service center not even serious, they are just doing master reset and updates. Not getting a permanent solution.

  • Hii i have a dual sim note 8...i bought before 2 weeks and is working fine.... But my 7th and 8th number in my imei is 09 what does it meen...and in phone information says....united emirates arabic.... It is bad quality... Plz answer

  • Battery is not soo good. I use it so oft, and charge it 2 times at day ( at night and once at day, about 18:00 - 19:00). But on my note everything is turn on (always on display, high brightness, colorful background...) . There are option to turn on battery life saver, and, with it, you can use phone almost 2 days (it says 31-32 hours, but I doubt. Also, I want to say you that note 8 is very good smartphone. It gives sooo much opportunities. This is my first note and my next phone will be sure note.

  • Just recieved a 711,91 MB software update with September security patch and Super Slow-mo, AR emoji. Unlocked Note8.

  • Every time i se the note look to me like i have seen the iphone plus version

  • Which part of the world are you in? I'm from Pakistan. Why haven't I received any update or security patch in past 10 months???

  • 10 hours with full charge average

  • Hi .please help me ! I want to buy note 8 Anyone tell me what about the bettary life of this phone.is it good enough or not??

  • I bought mine used 9 months ago for 900 CAD. I met the guy at a Samsung store and just compared it with a note 8 there.

  • No software updated mentioned bug fix also

  • You can test it. Let it drain, then charge overnight to 100%. AccuBattery will measure the probable actual power capacity the battery currently holds. It's probably about 80+% efficiency by now. The percentage counter does not tell the real battery capacity at all, folks. The battery degrades after chargings and usage cycles over time. My battery on my Note8 can only now hold some 3100+ mAh instead of the original 3300 mAh. Pro tip is to avoid charging up to 100%, trickle charger the battery to 80%, avoid not going down to less than 40%. Turn off or avoid fast charging add it can degrade the sealed battery faster. I tried to maintain between 40% - 60% charging to reduce wear and tear to 10 times longer longevity of the battery, but it's too much hassle. So I keep charging to up to 80%. AccuBattery's notification to remove the plug is passed on to my smartwatch. Convenient. As for the S7 Edge battery replacement, I'll have the battery replaced since it's 3600 mAh capacity - pretty decent.

  • My note FE battery (with fast charging) easily lasts over a day without any issues and I simply love it: -)

  • You mean the latest security patch update?

  • I am curious how much the Note FE battery will decrease compared to my Note8 battery, cause I have fast charging turned on on the Note FE to see how bad that is for the battery. I also installed the app on my workhpone Huawei Y560 and it shows 77% battery health, not so good after 2 years of heavy use.

  • The AccuBattery app is pegging my Note8 internal battery up to 95% efficiency. That is after 10 months of use. Still very much excellent. I used the same app to measure a 29-month-old S7 Edge, and shows 77-78% efficiency. So, the story is, Samsung is charging almost $90 for labor and material to replace the sealed battery. It will take 3 days. This is the caveat of sealed batteries. 3 times more of the cost than a removable battery you can replace yourself, and 3 days of waiting. I've never had any of my Galaxy Note phones wet, or in rain, so water proof is never an issue. At this rate, I expect I'll need to replace my Note8 battery on its second year, when it reaches some 85% battery efficiency.

  • You have to own at least one of them first.

  • Note8 >>>>>>>>>>> Note9.

  • And you forgot to mention you have to shell out $999 plus taxes to get those extra/slight features. While I highly recommend to anyone who don't have a Note8 to get the Note9 instead, there's very little reasons for Note8 users to get the Note9.

  • dual aperture camera f1.5/f2.4 bluethooth s pen stereo speaker

  • Who updated the latest update and anyone faced any problem ???

  • Note 10 will probably have a bigger screen in the sane size

  • Got it today has oreo right out of the box, yeah!

  • The sibling of the Note7 - the S7 Edge is now with me, since my wife now has a Note9. Basically the S7E is the Note7 without an S Pen - been using it as my main phone to see if I can live with a smaller screen. It's certainly small and better to hold. I still reach for my Note8 to for my writing and sketching needs - I would choose the Note8 if I had to carry one phone. But there's something as compact as the Note7 or the S7E. Right now, the S7E has only 78% battery efficiency after 29 months of use - I will have to change the 3600 mAh sealed battery at a legit Samsung service center. This is the bad thing about sealed batteries.

  • I also have the coral blue note FE and it's a fantastic phone, I love it.

  • I use this phone for almost a year and still works great, also waiting for what the Note10 brings but I might stick with the Note8 for even longer. I used the Nokia Lumia 930 for more than 3 years… I don't see reason to upgrade every year anymore as I liked to do so in the past, and I like high end phones which are incredibly expensive as of last years. But the Note10... who knows...

  • When the FE was announced I really wanted to get one just because it's such a beautiful Phone, I like it better than my Note8 in design. But I don't use it as my phone, I have the Note8 for that, better and faster updates and a more future proof 18.5:9 screen and double camera. I am using the Microsoft Launcher on the Note FE and I have quick charge turned on on the FE, whereas on my Note8 it's turned off. I use the FE more to try things out.

  • using nt 8 since 6 months...top ranked set hardly any thing deficient in it .... will continue its usage for 12 more months..and shall by a much awaited massive upgrade of note 10 next year( with in screen built-in finger printer, 6.46 inc screen...snapdragon 865 )...i hope if life will continue

  • I mostly do trickle charging, charging about ofter every 20-30% has been spent. I also been practicing to just charging up to 80% tin order to reduce the wear and tear. My battery efficiency is between 88 to 95%, according to AccuBattery. I occasionally fully charge after 2 weeks or so, just to calibrate the counter.

  • Hello everybody please let me know what percentage of battery health you'll get from the app Phone Info- Personal - Battery health . mine is 91/76% after 9 months use. i was wondering why this battery wear has happened , the Samsung manager promised all galaxy note 8 users that the GN8 battery will lose 5% capacity after 2 years!!!

  • Ah, the Note FE is of course the (safer) Note7 - which I had for 45 days until I had to return it. The FE or Note7 just reminds me of an S7 Edge with the S Pen (which was far more useful with). I was tempted to get the FE, but since the Note8 was coming, it just made sense to hold off. I wasn't wrong doing that. Note8 with my S Pen function jotting and drawing needs just overshadows regular smartphones.

  • I also use the AccyBattery app on my Note8 and my Note FE.

  • Huawei P20 Pro beats this phone all the way.

  • I have used the Note8 about 10 months now. Since January, I have been using AccuBattery app to monitor the battery's wear and tear, and efficiency rate it of the built-in 3300mAh capacity. Current set of 170+ charging sessions reveal an 89% or just 2900+ mAh of actual battery capacity that the battery can fully hold. Decline in battery capacity is expected, and just seeing the percentage counter will not reveal the actual current capacity as a brand new battery was before. I advice using the AccuBattery app to know what your current battery capacity is now.

  • I used the Note9 some total of 24 hours - my wife's. While the feel of a brand new phone is great, the experience was the same as the Note8 - the core functions, same camera output (I do not see the variable aperture makes a leap), same screen quality, just doubled the base internal memory storage, an overkill 512GB option, and I would not be even using the BT function of the S Pen for remote controlling it (my Gear S3 can do that). Bottom line is there is not need to upgrade from a Note8, unless you need a 512GB option. Memory storage can easily be supplemented with a large capacity microSD card, and 8GB RAM for senseless multiple apps being open at the same time, or you do more than 10,000 by 10,000 pixel digital art on a Galaxy Note (I sure can).

  • No, its not good idea at all no matter the price which isnt good btw. And my advice is to get brand new devices from authorized dealers only.

  • I'm gonna buy a used note8 without box. price is around $420. Is it a good buy at this price? and is there any way i can check if its clone or original phone? thanks in advance

  • You need to research what current OS is running the Note8.

  • Ty im glad im not the only one. Probably something incegnificant

  • This is my last Note device. Always w as a vivid fan of the Note series. But here is everything stops. My Note 4 and Note 5 destroyed do to an strange security patch update. I know everything about rooting so both with mother board destroyed. Note 8 still on Android 7. Weak battery life? Go to apps. Find that app that is counting your steps and go to permision and disable body sensor and then the app. After that go to Play store main app (the bigger one)go to permision and disable body sensor. Now you have strong battery life for your Note. Hope its helps. I think with this last update Sammy is killing his product to buy the latest product. Its called profit.

  • I agree with dat kos I noticed mine

  • just an hour ago my note 8 finger scanner started to give ERROR. tried restarting device but it persists. its 950U model and still on android 7. anyone else had the same issue??

  • Sad for you. I am happy my Note 8 is already Android 8.0.0!

  • Guys my Note8 (SM-N950U) is still stuck on Android 7.0 and Android security patch of August 1, 2017. Where the hell is android 8? (I can only dream of android 9). Is anyone facing the same problem???

  • I bought new note 8 and everything works great but i encountered one thing that worries me. When i start the phone i fist 1 or 2 minute back glass near fingerprint sensor becomes warm and then cools of and fone works great does anyone had seen this also?

  • thx again u were very helpful

  • I had no problems with the glass cracking. However, I highly recommend buying a tpu case so that it covers the edge. Some cases from Otterbox raise the phone so the screen will not make any contact with a surface. I have a 5$ clear tpu case and a 2$ gel screen protector (not tempered glass).

  • thx very much but i want to be sure if there is any problem about glass cracks?

  • there is a security patch for it which will be available within couple of days.. wait for that...after that if nothing positive happens then go to service center

  • I don't know what to do, maybe go to a service center with the phone, or perhaps with the next security patch update, it will be fixed again...

  • Galaxy Note 8 is your way. Go for it. Is the best.

  • Buy it. It is the best in the market and the price is so convenient. I have been using it from one year now and i never had any problem or whatsoever. Super display super camera, battery average and 600 dollars price.

  • 4

  • Kindly tell me how many hours 100% of battery will have a regular use of a day

  • After August's security update Vodafone.IN VoLTE service also start working on Note8

  • Hi first chack that there is no grease or dirt on proximity sensor then backup your data and factory reset your device, if this was also not working take to service center Have a nice day

  • Yes,try it.but no resul.

  • It seems as a software failure to me if it occurs after the update. Did you do a hard reset?

  • after 1 year of using note 8 do u recommend it to me? buy it or not ? as i heard some problems about the battery, cracks in the glass, problems in new updates and if it is not to buy note 8 so what do u recommend 4 me? and don't say note 9 :)

  • Go for Mate 10 Pro, it is better.

  • Change your phone to Note 9.

  • Help plz. After updat. My note8 does not working proximity senso. Any solutio?

  • Proximity sensor not working

  • My note 8 video is jerking when I make moving shot, has anyone have this problem?

  • Which one of the sensors is not working?

  • After update sensor does not working. Any solutions?

  • Mate 10 Pro, the best!

  • Note 8

  • I'm going to shift from galaxy note note 4 to new flagship mobile.I'm confused between note 8 and mate 10 pro.Could you help me..

  • I had one,but were cracked out in sreen and its repair it will cost about Usd 300. In Tanzania. Some times i ask my self can a get a phone with 128 Gb and 6 Gb of Ram, I would like to have phone like it but finencial issue i would like to have at Least the same capacity for about 500 Usd, Is it possible?if yes please ,recommend it.

  • No way! I will not get a phone for more than $1000 without IR blaster and with useless wireless charging function. LOL!

  • Yeah you post this using your Huawei phone. Check on this: And I read it using my Note 8.

  • O yeah. Everybody check this out. Reading his comment in Huawei page with my Note 8.

  • Best display ever of note 8

  • You mean your affordable Huawei Honor, and you're reading this with it. You do not have a Note8. Let's see you get the Note9 - more expensive. I know I will get to use that. The thing was, I had the Note 3 with an extended 10,000 mAh battery - that made sure I never had to charge or worry during the day time. That is the big difference. 3300, or even 4000 mAh is pathetic. iPads with Apple Pencil integration have surpassed Galaxy Notes because of the best drawing app - Procreate that only works in iOS. The only reason why I got my first ever iOS device.

  • I don't need to bring a bag, I just bring my Note 8 and it serves me twenty four seven without the bulky battery cover pack. I still remember when you said that you don't need other gadgets to bring just only your Note 3. Now look who is eating his words?

  • Hi all, i have a problem when making a call from the speaker. The dial tone keeps crackling... anyone else had this problem? Can it be fixed? Is a brand new phone... Thank you!

  • best smartphone

  • All because people like you encourage sealed batteries. It'd be great if the sealed battery is 10,000 mAh like the Zerolemon batteries. iPad comes in 10,000 mAh - all day battery. Yeah, I connect my Note8 to a power pack 3 times a day (sealed battery) to keep it up and running and useful. I am forced to bring a bag now. Thanks to people like you. Sealed batteries are the future for you. I don't agree. My Note8's battery is now 88% efficient, despite all the precautions. I have to have it replaced within this year at the service center. Remember what you said about sealed batteries, wasting time and services centers?

  • Oh really? ...to compensate the battery of your Note 8!

  • Hi, I wanted to know if this model works in Argentina. SM-N950FZKDXSG. Thank you

  • It depends on whether you want a smartphone with a load of features or just a phone some added functions through its apps? These two phones are only comparable pricewise, the Note8 operates in a league on its own, the iPhone is merely a simple phone compared to the Note8. But it depends on what you want and need.

  • If less is better, then yes!

  • Lol what an argument...

  • You should buy iphone 8 plus because iphone is better than samsung.

  • company should provide option like we go to company and upgrade it with some new features e.g upgrade its battery life with replacement, increase its internal memory etc.....

  • Does it really has so called gorilla glass?? I do not thing so it has, because I bought it last couple of months ago, it slightly

  • Should I get the Note8 or iPhone 8 Plus?

  • I wouldn't do anything. I use my note 8 in the bath, not submerged but with steam and splashes of water, the water detection warning comes on all the time. Goes off on its own after a few hours

  • note 8 will suport 3 android versions with 6gb ram

  • Sometimes my touch is not works properly may be with 3D glass i think so... U guys also facing same prblem?

  • There is heart rate and O2 saturation.

  • Dust-Off Compressed Gas Duster, Pack of 4

  • I haven't update the June 1st update I keep post poning it after the reports of the glitches. How is the August one? Flawless?

  • hello do you have a link? thanks

  • there is no heart rate on note 8

  • Galaxy Note9 announced, it's time to buy note8:)

  • Try wireless charging, I used a air compressor to blow all the water off. They can be purchased from Dollarama for under $5

  • Try wireless charging. There have been reports of the s8s not charging via USB after fully dieing. However it will wireless charge

  • Got 716.08MB Update with Aug 1 2018 Security patch in India.

  • Same! :-)

  • I bought note and after several month I have noticed cracks appearing on front lower and upper right side screen by themselves without dropping the phone. Samsung service will not fix the screen under the warranty. The phone itself is about 6 month sold. I regret that I bought this phone. It has screen defects.

  • August security patch hit my Note8, it's 716,08MB to be precisely.

  • I just switch from iphone to Note 8... But the problem with note 8 is i can not send sms more than 20 why... Please help me Thanks

  • Yes indeed a very good device

  • So far i m very satisfy with this phone, it's macth with my office needs and my games needed

  • Glass protectors reduce touch and accuracy, even the perfectly fitted ones. I tried one for 2 months - annoying inaccurate swipe texting, delayed responses. I even bought UV adhesive to cover all the area - a waste of effort and money. I just took it off, and gave away my extras. So, I just switch between the two best protection cases - OtterBox Defender and Rhinoshield Crashguard. They have the highest top and bottom raised lips. The Crashguard saved my Note8 from two 1m drops. Very effective. I don't have to struggle with inaccurate touch inputs.

  • Sorry the link has replaced the word "country" :-)

  • He's stating the fact that "quality screen protectors for curved screens are hard to come by" and it's true. -Most screen 3d screen protectors are plastic vs tempered glass on flat screens. -Glue is present only around edges of the protector, so touch is somewhat affected, specially near the edges. -They don't cover the whole curved screen. -They don't look good :-D I referred to most screen protectors and this invisible sheild screen protector must be quite good. It says it has full adhesive. Unfortunately not available in my And yet still, it doesn't cover the whole front glass. A bumper case increase the chance of survival after a fall.

  • Yeah true. Where i live, Note 8 costs something like 580 $ while OP6 costs 630 $

  • S8 got the August security patch, hope the Note8 gets it soon as well.

  • Yes, I do use the Apple Pencil with the iPad 2018, and the S Pen for the Note8. Your complaint about broken screen is not something to write about - all glass screens break. If you use your devices with no proper protective, expect the screen to break. I use the Rhinoshield.

  • Yes, like everyone use that pencil, please ....

  • No S Pen...

  • I currently own OnePlus 6. I was in doubt of which is better device Note 8 or OP6. I am more for OP pure Android experience. Of course Note8 has undoubtedly better display and camera, but OP has everything else such as smooth scrolling, faster experience, better battery life. Also depends on personal taste. Also quick PS, from my experience in mobile shop, a lot of cracked Note8,S8,S8+ has been spotted, due to curved edges and lack of quality screen protectors.

  • It depends on in which country you live, in my country the Note8 is still a lot more expensive than the OnePlus 6. I am using the Note8 since October 2017 and I can recommend it for sure.

  • My phone is not charging while turned off

  • What is the solution for moisture detected . Fast charging not working Doesn't charge while the phone is off

  • Its showing moisture detected

  • Thx bro for cmt, the price is not much different between OP6 and note 8

  • Failure? Lol 😂

  • Check your charging cable,it maybe due to a damaged cable/charger. See if you/someone has turned off fast chaging from the settings menu.

  • My fast charging not working. Any solutions

  • Around 4-5 hours. Not a lot.

  • You don.t nothing about phones

  • Nice. Phone.. But no battery life..

  • May i know how much time usage did you got on screen ?

  • Note8 is a very good phone.

  • Samsung still doesn't know how to make a decent phone. Even chinese smartphone have better battery. I would never give that much money for this technology failure.

  • Guys, note8 or OP6? Thanks lot

  • Such a shame that a great phone has to be destroyed by updates. I suppose when the next update will come, it won't solve the battery problems. I am thinking of selling the phone and buying a S9 plus and never ever do any kind of updates. If you have any tips on saving life battery, besides factory reset, please reply.

  • So tell us. Have you made a decision on which phone to buy?

  • Randomly restarts

  • I bought note 8 in July 23 in Amazon I am not satisfied with battery it drains 10 to 15 % without of usage but AOD is always on in my phone it’s natural or some issue with ur reply I understand it’s security update issue want I want to do

  • I suggest the Note8, I have no experience with the P20 family of phones but the Note8 is fantastic.

  • You are not alone i also ha e battery issue after july security update

  • Please tell me I'm not the only one that has problems with the life battery after the last updates. Overnight is goes at least 20% even if I put it on power saving mode. I did factory reset without improvements.

  • Will Indian variant support dual volte 4g

  • I think that'll make the phone so much heavier. Still 4000mAh looks really great (for me)

  • It depends on who you are and your personal taste. Note 8 runs android and iphone X runs ios and that's a lot of differences. Note 8 is more value for money i think (bcos it ticks like all the boxes which i need my phone to be). But if you like / love ios, or you're a fan of notches - iphone X will be a great device for you. It's the best Apple iphone up to date. And Note 8 is one of the best (if not the best) samsung up to date. (there's S9 plus) You won't be disappointed with either of them.

  • Dude it's 4 generations! Note 8 is far superior to note 4. If you want a 200$ phone, try a nokia 6(2018) or a Moto g6+ or there are so many options. I'd wouldn't buy a Note 4 in 2018 simply bcos - It's like 2/3 years old TouchWiz UI is laggy It's not aesthetically pleasing Everything is old Note 8 is available for like 600USD where I live. For that price, it's a real good phone. Even for 800, IDK, if you get a company warranty, yes it's a great phone. -Display is much better than Note 4 -S pen is much improved -Looks really beautiful -Runs a newer version of Android + Android P will come. -Security updates -Audio department is much better (3.5mm jack has support for 24bit/192kHz sound) -Fast charging -Wireless chaging -The Camera!!! -IP68 water and dust resistance Well I can keep going. Basically, everything is improved on Note 8. If you intend on using the phone for 4-5 years, that's a lot. And if you can wait a little longer, wait till the Note 9 launches. Collect a few more if you can. It'll cost around 1000 USD (thanks to apple) But Note 9 will have some key improvements and another precious year or two of support (like monthly security patches and a major Android version). Or still you'll be able to pick the note 8 for a lower price tag. (usually price drops significantly after a 'successor' launches)

  • Note8 devices are made in Vietnam (as i know so far), but its accesories in the retail package like in-ear headphones etc... are made in the countries you mentioned Korea, China... depending on the market.

  • Nope, it's not hard to write with the curved edges. We're talking about 2mm of vertical area on each. WTF. As for your concern of being torn between the two, Note8 has better camera(s), way better S Pen pressure sensitivity, 17mm more taller screen, fingerprint scanner that actually works, way better processor, and 6 GB RAM.

  • Hi Guys, Is Note8 made in Korea, China or Vietnam? or there are Note8 units are being manufactured to these countries.

  • Hi there guys, need your advice on buying a phone. I've used both Samsung and Apple phones and i have to say that the Note series is by far the best ones i've ever used. Now i'm in the need to get a new hone and a Note 8 is worth around 800 usd BUT a used Note 4 is worth around 200 usd (Great conditions). So the thing is, i'd love the power the Note 8 provides, 64gb + SD slot is a real looker for me, considering how much i take care of the phones, i could go with that for about 4 to 5 years without any problem, but it's a heavy investment for me. On the other side, the Note 4 is a solid investment considering the cheap price, but i'm afraid it may be a short term investment, and i'll be forced to get a new phone in no more than a year or two tops. I've read about how the curved sides of the screen in the Note 8 make it hard to handle and that is a paint in the ass to write properly as the S pen is not as good as the Note 4. ¿Can i get a better quality Stylus? Well, hope ya guys can give some advices.

  • I have p20 pro and note 8,p20 pro better in camera much better then note 8,note has a stylus, and iphone is rubbish

  • Question, Samsung N8 or Huawei P20 Pro, thanks in advance

  • Note 4 is legend. I bought Note 8 5 month ago. Everythink is ok except 2 things: 1. I miss fixed dial numbers from note 4 2. Battery is very small for this giant. Maximum 1 day lasts if you do not use actively. I wished in note 9 5000 mAh battery instead 4000.

  • Note8. The iPhone X is merely a feature phone compared to what you get with the Note8. The iPhone lacks so many basic features, you can better compare it with a Galaxy S8. Or even a Galaxy S5 if you like. The Note8 operates in a higher segment. But if you want fast updates, the iPhone X. Although for that price I would personally never buy it if you can get a OnePlus 6 -with fast updates as well- for half the price, or a Note8 for a lot less than the iPhone X. Both packed with many more capabilities and features.

  • Guys should i take iphone x or note 8 please give me your suggestions bro’s

  • Yes, a couple of days ago. It was around 580MB or something if I remember. The security patch changed to July instead of June and that's about it I think, I haven't noticed any changes.

  • Hi there, has anyone gotten a software update like today, or a day or two ago. My device just showed up software updates available. Thought I'll ask if someone has installed it and if anything is different.

  • Getting to close to iPhone? It's the other way around... We had AMOLED screens like a decade now (only recent on the iPhone X), split screen is not even present on iPhones, no pen functions, stereo audio recording is not on the iPhone, no memory expansion, only Bluetooth 4.2 that can't accommodate dual wireless audio, a dual camera bokeh that is not restricted to portrait orientation only for the Note8, no widget arrangement on UI screens, and like the silly wireless charging has been around 2013. Do tell us more how music is better on the iPhone...

  • This is an Excellent device , Android devices are getting ver close to Apple , I use 2 phones , iPhone 7 Plus and just got the note 8, I find myself doing almost everything on the Note 8 , BUT when it comes to music , Nothing beats the iPhone

  • You are blaming Samsung because the STORE refused to immediately honor the warranty? You go directly to the Samsung center, or you have failed to check the charger when you bought it... in a legit Samsung distributer store. Some countries require the retailer to echange the entire set within 1 week. Same thing to do wih other brands. If the charger of my Macbook Pro started to act up, I go straight to an Apple center for a replacement. Hardware issues are not perfect for any devices.

  • Samsung suck I bought galaxy 8 note charger not working nobody want to be responsible to change still under warranty call Samsung I need to send to them check it and them decide to see if they exchange. suck for huge company to do that. they will loose a costumer today

  • Thank you for the link. Look at how he's actually using an Honor 10. That's what he can afford and actually uses. That's how fake he is.

  • Nope. I charge the external beauties to full, but I only get to use it roughly down to 40%. I have two external batteries that I interchange. When I get home, i can always have one to use while while the other is charging. I never place my Note8 to be plugged in overnight. Carrying only one for the day is enough. I expect the external batteries would wear out eventually, but I could actually use these Zerolemon batteries if I upgrade to another device - Note9? Maybe.

  • Don't buy, battery life very bad.

  • Such a horrible thing for him to say. Please don't let these trolls bother you. BTW, there is another account with your gravatar and a similar name. Is it an impostor or does it also belong to you?

  • Hello mate. Curious question: Do you also follow a 40% to 60% charge cycle for your Zerolemon powerbank itself, so as to prolong it's battery health?

  • And yet again you haven't contributed anything factual nor useful information in this forum.

  • Well ... thats not the point. Like at all. Lmao I stopped talking about the Samsung and LG thing ever since you started getting defensive (once again) like as if I seriously care lmao. Youll regret not taking my advice if your wife divorces you because you arent paying attention to her.

  • I received the July security patch today, around 560 MB I believe it was.

  • Er, what? We are talking about what LG and Samsung are providing with stylus. It has nothing to do how busy I am or about my spouse. You state something wrong about generalizing what a stylus is for Samsung and for LG, I corrected what is FACTUAL about what they actually provide. That simple. That was the issue. The Galaxy Note series has the Wacom technology because it acquired the company. I use Wacom Intuous Pro drawing tablets for producing digital art. What are you doing here if you don't exactly know how things work or are in different categories?

  • You are dodging my point. You shouldnt be wasting your life on here arguing with people day after day after day, especially since you are obviously a busy person since you have a wife. Unless ... she doesnt exist.

  • Because Samsung succeeded in making a very compelling product that has something unique - a Wacom active digitizer pen, and that it totally different from the what LG is including.

  • Comparing a regular capacitive pen to a Wacom digitizer pen and telling us they are the same is a huge misstep. You are misinformed and is misinforming people. Do research.

  • Yup bro.. But sadly it is true. Shall i downgrade the software? Is it useful?

  • Currently, theres nothing EQUAL to the Note8. But I say at this point just wait for the Note9 to come out, by then the Note8 surely will be cheaper, or youll want to purchase that phone.

  • LG charges much cheaper. Thats the advantage they have. And that’s something many people actually appreciate and hate about the Galaxy Note8, is its so expensive.

  • Dont you have anything better to do than type long-ass paragraphs criticizing every ounce of minor setbacks? Get over it. Not everyone likes the Note8, not everyone likes LG, not everyone likes Apple. Companies NEED criticism, because how else will they improve? They wont. So do me and everyone else here a favor and knock it off, you should be paying attention to your wife instead of this.

  • The regular S9 I suggest? the price isn't far enough, but you get more than Note 8. Dual aperture, super slowmotion, smart adjust noise dark capture, D-RAM, AR emoji (which is I don't like this feature personally, because I'm MALE and I think that's annoying), more sensor size camera, latest touchwiz, beast performance (QMSD845/Exynox9810), advance bixby, dual stereo speaker (supported by Dobly), and more!.. But you didn't get what Note 8 have, like S-Pen, S-Pen feature (AOD Note, PenUp, smart translate, air command, etc), easy writting, advance editable, dual camera feature, and more

  • Kindly help me... Should I buy Note 8 or not? If Not suggest any other equal to Note 8.. Thanks ..!

  • Seriously? They told you those problems occurred just because your 5th character of serial number happend to be 9??? What the hell seriously! That sounds ridiculous Serial number doesn't have anything to do with it. It's like a name. Idk man

  • I don't think the majority of note uses bought is bcos the S-Pen. It has a class leading display, top notch performance, solid audio department, a great camera, a gorgeous design and so many valuable features

  • Sorry to burst your bubble - what LG churns out is a rubber-nosed tipped stylus. That is like the equivalent of a 50 cent capacitive stylus you can buy off the tech kiosk. The Galaxy Note series is equipped with a Wacom digitiser active pen. What that means is it has pressure (4096 levels) and tilt inputs. You can replicate the dynamic thin-thick line width variations with varying pressure, and tilt + with pressure actually replicates pencil shading. So you see, they are worlds apart. I can understand normal people do not understand this. I use this pressure + tilt input action on a daily basis. Using an LG phone stylus can’t do this: Read a bit more before posting.

  • As much as people think and say the Note series is the ONLY series of phones that is able to use a stylus, everyone who says that is wrong. LG makes phones that are compatible with styluses as well. And if you dont believe me, look up “LG Stylo” or “LG G3 Stylus” on google. Sorry pal, but the note series isnt anything super special if its not the only company that makes phones that work with styluses.

  • All these steps were performed and went to service centre. They told that It is new issue regarding to mobile's serial number. When the serial number's fifth number is 9 then those problem will arise. If anyone experienced please notify me.

  • Try a soft reset (restart), clearing the cache. If problems still persists, try a factory reset. If it's still there, you will have to go to a service center....

  • Lol don't force your preferences down other people's throats. Use whatever works best for you.

  • And depends on where he/she lives. In my country, Galaxy Note 8 is available for 600$ making it a little bit cheaper than OP6. (maybe more taxes apply to Oneplus 6 making it a 650$ device)
