after sometime, the phone becomes slow in response to commands, then if you are into internet use, please note it uses EDGE-238Kbps-you will hate the speed. camera is very good, audibility,perfect,battery life-good, audio features are good. If you dont buy a protecting carry case, in less than 6 months, the grey line peels and the screen will scratch like nothing you've seen. otherwise for basic functions ie music,calling, sms, tourch, camera, it is a good phone

I bought this phose one and a half years back. The price was 5300/- which I bought from univercell broadway, chennai. It is a good set but I felt it as somewhat bulky. Camera is very good, good clarity. The only problem I faced with this mobile is while using the GPRS. It says some memory deficiency while using some websites and closing the site soon which was causing inconvenience many times.

Bad: Slow, Hangs, Memory Card errors, many times SMS delivery report not received, Battery charging indicator does not blink while charging, hard keypad!! in total reckless software/hardware development must b because of it being manufactured in CHINA. In starting it was working fine but now it hangs a lot while messaging or calling. Its camera quality is not good as expected for 2.0 mp and video recording is worst. Yes its really.. really a good (dual sim/dual standby/ dual active) phone. I want comment + / - about this phone 1. The key's in the middle i.e. 2,5,8,0 are very hard to press. The other keys are really smooth. 2. If LG add smart dialing/smart search like Nokia c5 then i will never buy another phone. 3. It records only Sim 1 calls, it should also record for sim 2. 3. If phone book is used 90% then contacts search is little bit slow. 4. If u are reading the one message and want to go to next message u have to go to ' back' the go to another message and open it. LG should give keys like '*' and '#' or sideways keys of D pad.

this phone is better on the basis of battery. and then it works well in sim switching. as well as quality of display is also well. i watched three full movies for approximately ten hours,after fully charged the mobile. i think no other mobile, do it. but sound quality is worst while hearing without headset.. camera also okay.. for this price ,the mobile is good.. ubdating software using your lg pc suite is risk. go to service center and get the updation. its very easy and safe.

u can update the software urself using the net. first just update the LG PC suite and click on update software. follow the steps as shown on the screen. i updated the software to V10i. this is the latest. i am waiting for more updates ti improve sound quality.

Guys, I own this phone from past 6 months. I have two phones. I am happy with the phone. There are few + and - but compared other dual sim brand phone including nokia, samsung this is better choice. Pros: 1. Amazing battery backup (1500mAh Li-ion polymer) usually u find in Nokia E series phone which starts at 10k + 2. Dual active - When sim 1 is engaged on call the ohter sim rings (usually other brands gets not rechable) 3. Good vibration 4. Clear disply in dark sunlight too. 5. USB charging. 6. Easy sim swapping (no reboot required) 7. U can make SIM1 for calling and SIM2 for messaging the u can make combination. Just takes 5 seconds (no reboot required) 8. Easy soft keys 9. Comes with 2GB card for total cost of the Rs.5000(when I bought). 10. Good speaker (internal & external) - Loud alarm really wakes me up. 11. SIM1 calls can be recorded and opposite person cannot hear any beep unlike nokia phone. Good quality recording. 12. Battery lasts 2 n half days to 3 days with both sim on. My usuage is per day around 3 to 4 hours of talk and 5 to 10 msgs. Basically Im a marketing guy so can imagine about calls. 13. Sales package comes with 2GB card, Data cable - 1mt length which is needed, travel charger, ear phones (ok quality), 1500mAh Li-ion polymer battery, handset, CD - none of the companies gives so much at this cost. 14. One year theft insurance by LG (manufacturer) Cons: 1. One slot of charging, ear phones so u cannot listen to songs while its is on charge mode (it is not recommended to put for charge and listen to songs but sometimes we may need even when battery is low u cannot use ear phones and put mob for charging). 2. Not good quality ear phones. 3. When you are listening to music if u want to browse msgs/phone book first u should go to options in music player click minimize then u can browse msgs/contacts other. If u just press red button music player will be stopped. 4. Same above case in Radio mode also. 5. U cannot record the call conversation when u r SIM2 call. Only SIM1 calls can be recorded. 6. Message typing is little difficult not as easy as nokia phones. Like u type 'And'if u want to go to small caps without dictionary u should long press # and if u want to go number mode single press twice to go. So, little crazy u get pissed off. 7. U r texting and suddenly other msg comes and if mistake u press centre button OK it opens new msg but what u have typed doesn't move to draft so u have to re-write from beginning. 8. Music player sucks. 9. Once ur inbox is 300, messaging becomes slow. 10. No 3.5MM jack for external speakers etc 11. LG says one year theft insurance even I inquired in service station they say YES but no where it is mentioned in Invoice or Manual. So, don't know how it happens when anyone looses it. Conclusion: If u r a messaging freak or music freak better don't go for this phone. Just if u r using for calls, recording conversation, amazing battery which usually a travel person/sales/marketing guys look into. Then this would be a amazing phone I luv it and would recommend to non music, non messaging guys.

i was updating this phone today. the update was moving fine untill it got stuck up on the sixth update out of total seven updates. i waited for some time and then cancelled the update. now when i check the software it says version 10i which is the latest. i again tried the update but it says i cannot. can any one pls help with this issue. are any more updates going to come.

@usama - pls help in updating the software. i have installed PC suite and USB drivers. after following points 1,2 and 3 of software update i am stuck up. i removed the battery and plugged the USB cable into the PC but the phone shows white screen then says 'please wait' and then 'battery is full - please unplug to save energy. am i doing something wrong or does it take time to update. does this software update improves sound quality. what improvement have u noticed after updating the software.

it will read the Capital letters So if u have written any name with capital letters it will show it also for eg RAMAN-IF U TYPE M it will show RAMAN also but if u write Raman it will not show it.

I have been using this phone lg gx300 for months now like 7 to 8 months. This pnone is good but not too good, it has some problems especially on its messaging aspect, when u use it for a while, firstly, it repeats a receiving particular text message uncountable times and for days too. secondly, sometimes it doesn't receive some messages, thirdly, sometime the sent message may not be delivered, i have confirmed my Sims has no problem and this is not network problem atall cos it happens often and on thx.

I´m using this phone for about a month, I use it just for calls and messages. Volume in ear-piece is loud and clear, the listener reception is great. Since It´s a dual sim active U get a warning while talking on sim 1 about a call on sim 2. Calling trough loud speaker, from my experience, it�s not very good. U ear great but the listener doesn�t, U have to get the phone very close to U. The batteries life it´s about 5 days with heavy usage but on standby only it doesn�t get much longer (6 or 7 max.) It's a great phone...

I usually always buy Nokia, my second choice would have been Motorola. However, I went to the mobile store in aim of looking for two things in a phone I wanted to buy. Dual SIM and large numbers and keys. The LG stood out to me especially the keys, number size and phone shape. It was different. Plus it was dual sim. Here what I can tell you about the phone: * You can put two sim cards in IF you want to. You have settings for both sim cards on the phone. The two are separated by colour. Each list of contacts are recognized by colour code. *On both sides of the phones there is a small rectangular shape button. I noticed when I received a call a blue light flashes ( probably indicating that I am using sim 1 card, thus, this mean the other side will flash a red light if the other sim card ( 2 ) rings. I like this feature, very handy. See pic of phone on here. * The numbers and keys are big, easy for those who want to see the keys * It is slim and easy to hold, pretty big in size but very nice. * It has a feature called 'Secret Notes' here you can add important details or probably credit card numbers whatever and then insert a code to lock it, so you only can access it. * As far as I know you can also have two network operators for each of your sim cards your phone, like one for where you reside, and one for when you travel abroad. All in all, it is a pretty good phone, whether services are widely available in the country of purchase -if needed- is another story.

LG GX-300 is a good phone, battery lasting to specs. dual sim works well with easy switching between either or. the graphics on screen could be larger and pity the SIM 1 or SIM 2 don't illuminate on selection, would give better indication of SIM being used. good phone for basic calling and TXT.

I have brought this phone a month back. Here are my comments about the phone. 1) This is dual active and not dual standby. (Dual Stand by means if u are on call on one of the sim your other sim is deactivated. you cannot receive call on the other sim.) 2) Excellent switching feature that helps you to choose which sim u want to use. Two drawbacks I observe with this phone compared to othes. 1)The option of viewing contacts either through handset or sim is not available, means your contacts in sim and handset for the same contact is displayed, unlike in other model, correct me if i am wrong. Ofcourse the filter option is displayed temperorly only. 2) The camera is hopeless with full of grains.The LED flash is also of no better use. 3) I upgraded my version to V10F from V10 D mainly for the purpose of setting right the low audibility in other end of mobile user. But no better results. users please correct or opine for the above

You can manually lock the key pad by "Long pressing" down arrow key for some secconds, when phone is in ideal mode (ie, dispaly shows home screen). You can change the key lock settings or even disable "Auto Key Lock" through Settings -> Phone -> Auto Key lock option.

I purchased GX300 recently and I was pleasently surprised that inspite of it being a dual sim phone, I could sync my outlook appointments with it. I know problems with other phones that they either don't sync or are not able to handle appointments scheduled with european time zone. But it works just fine with LG GX300 and I am happy about it.

Hey, Does any body experience the follwing problem ? I am using GX300 (version GX300AT_V10c). When I copy any image to any folder inside my external memory card it displays in phone memory also(inside Gallery->My images). I checked the memory usage, it uses only external memory. When I remove the ext. memory card the image disappear from phone. Whenever i rename or delete the image from any of the two locations (external or phone), it affects in both places. This is the case with music and video files. They are displaying in phone->Gallery My sounds and My vedeos respectively. Please tell me if there any work around or any other solution.

some other cons abt this phone.previous were posted before 2 days.additional ones r 1-Over all operating of phone becomes slower and slower as the number of sms in inbox increases. 2-battery backup is not what they write...they wrote 23hours talktime!!I assume it wont be more than 7 hrs. 3-The charge coming with the phone has too short wire. 4-Does not support youtube videos. 5-If you are buying this phone for more a sms thing than phoning, this is not the choice. 6-emotion section is given but it only shows emotion signs!no emotion graphics!!!!(i wonder then why giving emotions menu in sms menu!!) 7-no wireless radio...thats basic facility in most of the phones now a days! 8-screen resolution is 176*200...which is average...shud give atleast 240*320!! additional pros are listed below 1-Dual sim switch is fantastic. 2-scheduled sms facility. 3-edge supported 4-a2dp is supported for bluetooth 5-menu font size adjustable small medium and large, however for sms font size does not change.but sms fonts r large enough. Pros and cons i found till now Cons- 1-cant send sms while listening music.(if sms comes u can read that sms but cannot go to write/reply menu). 2-no 3.5mm jack 3-pc suite is very slow.copying from usb as mass storage will give better(5times) speed. 4-video concerter is not embeded 5-sms cant be viewed by clicking left/right button.if u have 5 sms in inbox, u will have to open 1st, then exit then go down and open 2nd.cant do it by simple left/right clicks.which is normal in most of mobiles. 6-out of memory problem. 7-i think playing from youtube is not supported.opera browser exits as soon as i click on view video. I bought this phone for 3 days and take the opportunity to leave some impressions here. When I started using it was with difficulty that I realized who was on the other side of the line, and was heard very bad, very low volume, I was thinking about going to change soon, because then there were no conditions. The mobile phone came with version V10B, V10D upgraded to version and the problem of hearing the call for improved considerably. I do not know if anyone else went through that experience here. The update is also not a very simple process, I think I was the victim of some sort. I still have situations that I am not able to understand very well, such as: it is not possible to increase and decrease the volume of auscultation during a conversation? The ring volume is so low, Why? to put the call on speakerphone, you put it when I no longer hear normal again, I do not know .. may not be good to see the movie. Compared with the Samsung C6112, removing the battery aspect, I think the Samsung is capable of doing better, but I did not want for anything slipping a mobile phone with keyboard, and Samsung is a bit thicker and heavier, though this is long very elegant, has good aspect (my opinion). It is very good phone in this range. A worth for the money. The features I liked on this phone are: 1) Dual SIM switching is easy with dedicated key. No restart required for SIM switching. 2) Dual Active.So call waiting is available in both SIMs, like its peer Samsung 5212. 3) Automatically selects SIM in connection with phonebook and call log. 4) Application lock and data protection is available. 5) works good with blue tooth headset for attending calls. 6) Efficient and fast searching in phone book. Apart from first name It even searches second name matching. 7) Entire call log (includes dialed, received, missed) can be accessed with one key press and in single page. This even indicate the SIM by which call is made or received. The disadvantage I noted in this phone are 1) It has a bug in file manager. If a file(image, sound or video or any other files) is saved in external memory card, that file is displaying in phone memory in corresponding folder(My images , My sounds, My videos or others) depending upon type of the files. Operation like rename or delete on this files in any of the place apply in both places(external as well as phone memory). 2) Voice recorder cannot record calls in slot-2 SIM. But works fine with slot-1 SIM. 3) SIM selection is not much flexible as Samsung 5212. slot-1 SIM is the default SIM for call and SMS in "Auto" mode.(Settings->Dual SIM->SIM Switching). Even though user can change "Auto" to "user setting" mode, or switch SIM with dedicated key, the SIM selection always go back to default SIM after the call. it will be great, if it could retain last selection till the next change. Samsung 5212 perform well in this aspect. 4) SMS and emails cannot be backed up to external memory. 5) The confirmation sounds during start and stop of video recording and camera click sound cannot be muted. 6) The functions associated with smart keys and navigation keys cannot be changed. For example down arrow key is always phone book. No way to assign any other functionality to it.

It is just a basic phone with dual active facility. Unlike SAMSUNG dual active phone wherein you can switch to the call from SIM2 but you cannot come back to the call of SIM1 unless you cut the call from SIM2. But in LG GX300 you can easily switch between both the calls just by pressing multi navigation center key to the right or left. Other than this facility, this phone is not worth for multimedia, browsing, music handling, display, camera, radio, etc. If your need is only dual active sim phone, then this is the best at present. For all other use, this phone is not recommended.

I have updated the software after several tries. The software update from LG website is not easy. But after update, my phone is having S/W version of V10f which is better than the earlier S/W version V10e. As I have updated on the very fist day of purchase, that too before started using, I don't feel any problem with the phone. There are some draw backs like you can't select other numbers other than default numbers while sending multiple SMS. MIC reception quality is very poor. The person on the other end is not able to listen the voice clearly. No theme support other that the inbuilt one. But handling of two calls from two different is awesome.

I live in Kochi, India. As you rightly pointed out, the way you got replacement may not be helpful here. Thank you. Today(30/Dec/2010) I went to a different service center with the replaced GX 300, and the guys agreed there is a problem with voice quality at the other end for this set also. They said they will change the circuit board, or again try to do another replacement.(for this they need to get permission from someone in LG) I think I have to opt for board change since I fear this problem may be common to all pieces in a batch and I will not get another handset which is touble free.

I own a GX300, second one, after I returned the first. I got the second from a different supplier and I realized there is a difference when they updated to different software versions. Also, if I remember correctly, the first one had "Made in China" on the box, the new one has "Made by LGE" (LG Electronics).

It seems there is more than one version of the GX300 going around... The one I had initially updated from software version V10B to V10G, but had some some sound quality and dual sim management problems (would not accept calls to second sim if set to auto manage). The one I have now updated from V10B to V10D but works flawlessly.

Dear All! I'm using GX300 with handsfree kit (toyota car_media) via bluetooth. During the conversation via SIM_1 quality of sound is quite OK. But talking via SIM_2 other side-person hear me with big noises and echo/distortions (I hear his well good). Wheter anyone can check, for me, quality of sound from SIM_2 via bluetooth kit?? Hello, Still i am facing problem with software update. After installed USB driver & Flash Loader Utility. Then one modal dialog screen came and struck that screen. "Your PC installed USB Driver completely. Please follow below procedure before S/W update. 1) Please pull out USB connector(cable) from your cell phone. 2) Turn off the cell phone and then remove the phone battery. 3) Put USB connector(cable) into your cell phone without battery. 4) Then Flashing USB driver is installed. 5) When you can see below pop up, Click "Continue Anyway" during driver install process, ignore any pop up appearing. ? Even though you ignore it nothing happen on you pc. 6) After all Install,please pull out USB connector(cable) from the cell phone again. 7) Put in battery to your cell phone and turn on 8) Put USB connector(cable) into your cell phone with battery 9) After pop up, you should select "PC suite" in mode connection USB on your cell phone " In that screen, Next button always disabled. Should i remove the battery during update. How long time will take update process. I follow the above procedure but nothing work for me. Please help me

Phone is worthy for this price but few problems i'm facing now are, 1.When "Handset Lock" is enabled, I'm frequently facing a message "Maximum number of applications reached" And this phone hangs whenever that message appears. 2.Its pc-suite is slow!I think its downloading all the sms and other data from phone, each and every time. 3.PC suite is unable to update new incoming sms without manual press on refresh button. 4.Unable to write sms or open java application while listening music player application. 5.Music player updates the list each and every time which takes almost 5 to 15 seconds for it to initialize.(Same problem with playlists) 6.Another big problem i'm facing is, If i'm typing a reply and if i open a incoming new message popup then the message i was typing will vanish(It must be auto-saved to drafts folder) 7.No way to minimize the java application we are running.(No TaskManager or Apps-Running like stuff)

Hello, Kindly download the application from the LG website. Install it. Download the USB software. install the software as well as the FLASH LOADER UTILITY which is now available. Run the installed software and connect the phone through the usb cable in pc sync mode. Software would detect the phone and would read about the software version. Then do follow the steps it would be done. I updated my GX300 2 days back. Its working fine.

Yes, Dual_Active! not Dual_Standby, so specyfication @gsmarena.com contains an error/mistake. Second important for me and very usefull function is posibility to export/import of contacts to Excell format e.g. *.csv ;) It is very simple format, comma delimited. Additional info, connection via bluetooth not working with pc_suite, only usb cable is supported. Regrds form Mariusz.

Hello Mohan. This phone dual active sim phone. If you talk sim one. The same time another call is coming call waiting. Other side caller hearing a busy tone. If you like end or hold the sim one call, and receiving sim two call. This phone very useful. The best dual sim phone in all company. camera quality is very good. In not phone. you see the photo in pc. music quality handset and headset superb. The only absence 3.5 mm jack.

Hey this is useful option. This option in only Nokia high end handsets. Ex: you enter contact name shashi mittal. After many days you confused phone book enter Shasi Or mittal? Hi guys, just help me out, I purchased GX 300 1 week back, am facing a strange problem, to search a contact, lets say "chander", if i type Ch, ideally it should go into C list of contacts and then further CH, but it searches for CH in all contacts from A to Z, such as Bhanu Chander. In my lg gx 300 both cards work properly, please check if you placed them correctly, it is quite difficult, there is a small "switch". Please carefully read manual. Regarding deleting messages first you have to "select all" and then delete. It works fine.

I have been using this phone since a week, this my 3rd dual-sim, and I am really positively surprised with quality. The battery is working now 7th day (I formatted it as manual requested), and general usability is very good. The best feature of this phone is that by default it selects sim card to make connection, based on where the contact is saved - sim 1 or sim 2. This is really outstanding, never seen in other dual-sims. The phone is not very "good-looking" but functionality and ease of use is very high. I do recommend this phone to those people who need functional phone, not the "good looking gadget". There is camera, music, email, web and very good battery (1500 mah).

Dear Suarabh, The answer to your both questions is "yes". I am using IDEA sim as SIM-1 & Cellone Sim as sim 2. My GPRS is activated on SIM-1. I am able to use internet on both the cell & PC. While connecting it to PC, it is better to go by PC-SUITE ROUTE.

hi friends lg gx 300 is really good mobile i have purchased this mobile on 7-9-2010 it is really a value for money main advantage is dual sim, both 2 sim will be active in single phone if call comes to sim2 when u r busy in sim1 it shows waiting option or misscall. and other features are top class stero output music and disadvantage is you will be addicted to tremendous super music quality in ear phone its better then sony ericsson but it does not support 3.5 mm jack but no problem it is much better then.its price in bangalore is 5150 its my opinion to buy this mobile because in nokia & samsung only one sim will be active and other its waste in sted of keeping sim in pocket it only provide a slot friends. and lg gx 300 has quality 2mp camera very very good camera . in my opinion this mobile is branded and you get a assurance of service center in india rather purchasing good mobile in features and charesterstics but not having service center and mobile accessories if you drop mobile or any unexpected happen. in my rating i give this mobile 10 out of 8 because all is not perfect in this mobile in music is super but not perfect music software it makes double work if you want to listen ur favourit selected songs when you are busy in other song and frienda it has 1500 mah battery with talk time of 8 hrs and good standby time with gprs and internet facility

First I should thank rkv for the suggestion given to me. My concern was about the phone displaying "maximum limits of application reached" every now and then especially when I use this for the whole day.I followed his suggestion to erase unimportant and unwanted messages in my inbox, in fact I have emptied both in-boxes already. But I am very frustrated to find out that the same message is displayed after I did what was suggested to me...IS THIS A DEFECT OF THE UNIT ALREADY? Key pad locking is as you explained. But any one can open that. For security, it is better to lock the handset as i explained before. Right? If you lock the handset, no one can read your messages or make call from your set. In fact the handset locked ensures that it becomes just a show piece to others. But if the user forgets his password, then he may face problems.

You are welcome! ;) About locking the phone I believe the other user asked how to lock the keypad. Just hold the D-pad down key for 2-3 seconds and the phone will lock. If I misunderstood the question than the answer is as rkv wrote.

i got my LG GX300 about a month ago. Functionality wise, I got no problem in fact I find this better than the rest except for one big problem: the longer you use, a dialogue will flash on the screen that says "maximum applications are reached" although you are only texting the whole day. When this occurs you cannot proceed texting or even opening the other applications. Can anyone advise me how to get rid of this shortcoming of this model?

Hi! I am using Opera Mini 4. I downloaded it using the phone's integrated browser via wap and installed it. When installing the phone asks whether this file should be saved to Games or Applications, I chose Applications and that's it. I configured my GPRS as explained by the network provider and now I am able to browse with Opera via GPRS. I've also tried to update my phone firmware but I couldn't because when the phone restarts it does nothing but start charging the battery. If I remove the battery I still shows charging for a while and then shows the message "Batter full..." and nothing else happens. I'll stick with the current firmware for now. At least I know it's problems :) and I'm OK with them. You never know how many bugs will come with the new firmware :).

The engineers at the service centre finally accepted that there was problem with the set. So, they asked the dealer to give me a new cell. And see the cleverness of the local dealer. He gave me another LG GX 300. When i checked it at my home, it was a used set. Again the same problem. No browsers could be loaded on it. I am feeling really helpless. Why can't people be honest?

Its just my personal experience dear. You may go ahead and buy one for yourself. I have used phones of all branded companies(you also must have done so) and so the only good thing i noticed in this phone is that its a dual sim. Within 20 days, the mike went off. No browsers could be loaded on it. You can not remove recently called numbers from the list. and there are so many other things which i encountered. Still, you may like it Neha.

This is the worst phone I've ever had. I've had a lot. The only good think about it is the battery. Everything else is crap. This is my second DUAL sim phone (the first one was Samsung D880 Duos which I've discarded because I didn't like the battery life and it couldn't charge via USB) and my first LG phone. But I'm disappointed. Here are the advantages: 1) Very good battery life. 2) Chargeable via USB. 3) Torch. 4) Auto SIM switching capability. 5) Very loud. 6) Good build quality. No creaks. 7) Memory card slot. Here are the disadvantages: 1) Low-end screen, probably like Nokia 6230i. 2) Very user UNFRIENDLY. The menus are so inconsistent that you need to look for the options every time. 3) My first Siemens phone (8 years ago) had more settings. 4) Very buggy. I intentionally don't move all my contacts to the phone firstly because I don't want to lose them if the phone breaks and secondly because I want to take advantage of the auto sim switching option, but the phone cannot permanently filter the contacts and when I search for a contact if looks for it only in the second sim (it has more contacts), although my filter is set to ALL. 5) SIM's management is much worse compared with the "old" Samsung D880. 6) No smart dialing (D880 has smart dialing). 7) No themes (only 3 ugly factory themes). 8) The camera is preposterous. LG could go only with the torch if they couldn't integrate a better camera. Overall I regret buying this phone. I should have gotten a Samsung DUAL sim in the first place. I don't want to offend the other users who bought it and are pleased with it. :) It's just my opinion. ;)

Finally i had to send the phone to service centre. Within 1 month of purchase, its mike failed. No browser could be launced on it. What a phone sir ji! I only wish that other customers don't face such unwarranted situations. I only pray that it comes back in 7 days with all problems solved. Pl pray for me!

It is very useful feature. Suppose you are sitting with someone you don't like but you don't have excuse to leave. The fake call can help you.Activate it.set the time when u want to receive the call. It will appear with the name entered by you. So, there will be a ring but actually no one will be calling you. Just attend the call and say "bye-2". Isn't that great? this feature protects you from people who "bore" you.

This info may help those who want to keep all the messages.But you should have a PC/laptop for it. step 1: message->message settings->back up text messages This will pack all messages in one file with .txt extension. Step2: Pair LG GX300 with PC/LAPTOP USING YOUR BLUETOOTH. STEP3: Gallary->My memory card->OTHERS. Here you will see the .txt file you just created. Step4: option->send via blue tooth->pc/lap top.It will get stored in my documents\bluetooth\inbox. You can just double click it and read all your messages.Messages will appear with senders'numbers & not names. Now you can delete messages from cell and free memory to store new messsages. Isn't it great my dears!

Yes, you can actually block unwanted callers with the LG GX300. But first, you need to create a group and add the numbers or names of persons you want their calls blocked. Go to settings > call > sim 1 or sim 2 > call reject > reject = 0n > reject list = group (the group folder you crated with the numbers you wanted blocked).

this phone is far superior in performance compared to Samsung dual sim phones. this has some very useful features which is not found in Samsung dual sim phones. only draw back is the cosmetic looks. if you are not particular of looks then go for it.

Yes, both sims will work at the same time. i.e. if you are on Sim#1 talking and getting a call on Sim#2 the number is shown plus you can receive the call by putting Sim#1 on hold.

One glaring omission is the fact that there is no way to delete the 'recently used' list of tel numbers that shows up when you want to send a SMS. It appears when you press the 'add' option for inserting a tel number. At least I haven't figured out a way to delete the list. If anyone has then please revert back. One thing that did work was to insert random numbers .. till you reach the magic figure of twenty or so .. in order to rid of the last number ..basically the recently used list is of twenty numbers.

The LG GX300 doesn't have the option to record conversations or incoming calls. It does have a voice recorder but that works as a voice memo sort of thing. Apart from the fact that it has hung up a couple of times, the features and general performance are quite satisfactory. Been using it for the past one month.

So this phone is strong & intelligent like Ganapathi and generous & considerate like Lakshmi as this phone is made cheap for budget conscious people who would like to own a dual sim phone for low price. I think this is the best middle range phone with dual sim in the Indian market presently. Since all the other dual sim phones are very low range or high range. My gx300 battery lasts for 3 days for average calls. It's having usb charging also.

I am using gx300 for last 2 weeks. Call from the second sim will appear same as a second call to the same sim. Means if you are doing a call in sim1 and getting call in sim 2 it will appear as second call and after the first call you will get missed call alert on the display. Its camera is average, pics taken with flash are not good. Good sound clarity, good volume, clear mp3 playing. With loudspeaker some echo is happening. Phone hangs at some times. Little big in size. Display is good, but not clear if you view from angle. But only 5000/-. So comparatively good product for this price
