Well, to all you're probs there's one simple and easy solution that is, you install a custom Rom.... Amazing thing is that currently I'm using Android 7.1.1 NOUGAT.... This phone supports all the roms like AOSP,cynogen, lineage etcc....Well, best Rom according to Me is Is cynogen 6.0.1 mashmallow with no bugs and errors butter smooth and cpu clockable to 1.6ghz..... Well, all this begins just by having a custom recovery that is CWM or TWRP. All this stuff you find out in SAMSUNG GALAXY s2 plus XDA dev page... You'll need a PC to install cwm via ODIN FLASH TOOL... Read all the instructions and ask me questions if you have any doubts 😃.

If your phone can not update to 4.2.2 over the air (OTA) through your phone's settings it is maybe because your country or carrier does not support it. i mean no newer version for your country/carrier You can manually update to 4.2.2 by donloading and installing the latest version yourself using kies and your computer. Just be careful for the continent/region so the ROM you will flash can contain a language you prefer. For example all european roms contain german language. Asian Rom probably not. I´ve had this phone for more than two years now and it is just PERFECT. Especially the camera is fantastic, even pictures taken in interior have extcellent quality. No problems with restarts (well, it DOES restart itself now and then, but it takes just a couple of seconds and it is not more frequent than, say, once a week). All in all, after two years and for the price I paid - excellent.

Still use it for my second. Great behavior with ExSlim rom. Fast, no hangs, restarts etc. Good camera for an 2013, budget device. Great amoled display, but low resoliution(480x800) Perfect size for one hand use. Good battery life(3-3:30hrs on screen time) Still have custom roms for him on xda. Good oldie.

I've had this phone for 2 years now, and I will tell you honestly that I am not happy with it. When I got it 2 years ago, it did work and everything went smoothly and it was okay and it could last a full day (7 AM to 10 PM) even though I used it all the time for multiple apps (I'm 16 years old, I got it when I was 14 so I used it a lot). I was used to a blackberry curve back then, it would always jam a full day so it was never in use except for the first month or so. What happened to this phone is not worse, but it comes close. After around 2 months it started jamming sometimes, but hey, I didn't really mind. Then I noticed that my software does NOT work well with an SD-card, because I've had to download apps that could transfer files from my simcard to my SD-card, and some files even got lost somewhere in there. But I didn't really have anything to complain about, until now after two long years. My phone keeps jamming and when I open apps to talk to people it always takes up to 15 minutes to at least click on a conversation with someone and it takes another 5 until I can actually type something. Not only that, but sometimes my keyboard just disappears and even though I keep pushing the place where I'm supposed to type. Plus, sometimes it just jams for no reason. It takes horrible pictures and if you don't want your battery to die in 3 hours, you'll need to either use it only little or you need to dim the light that comes off your screen. But, this is barely to not at all visible in sunlight. But make sure to never let even the littlest drop of water fall on the screen, because it won't respond well to it. If you still plan on buying this phone, be sure to live in a place where there's never any rain or sunlight because it is unable to handle either of them. So unless you are planning on buying a new phone every half year, I'd stop searching for samsung phones that are 200 euros because trust me, buying a way better phone for 400 euros will honestly save your money. (the my microUSB-slot broke once and my sister has a phone like this too and hers broke twice, 150 euros down the drain) And no, I'm not just a whiney teenager. If you see reviews about this phone online, make sure to check the date: 2 and a half years ago these specs were okay/good, now they are outdated, old and they can be utmost annoying if you've had this phone for 0.5+ years.

Just flash your phone to the latest version exists using your computer. Search the latest ROMS on samsung-updates.com or sammobile.com after this try to disable services or programs you do not use. modern google apps are very RAM hungry. the phone's 1gb is barely enough for them. it is a way google to force us buy new phones. So my advice is DO NOT UPGRADE OR BETTER DEACTIVATE APPS YOU DO NOT NEED, using your phone's settings.

Do not expect miracles even from old i9100 either. modern apps are very heavy for a phone with 2 cores and 1 gb ram to handle. so you must be careful which apps you install and if they absorb all your phone's resources. Despite these i9105p is a very reliable phone, with many features and compact size. So to get full juice of it 1. upgrade to the latest version exists. 2. go to system settings and deactivate any apps you are using (ex galaxy apps) 3. do not install very heavy apps of apps want to start at boot or demand constantly running in the background or else bye bye cpu power and battery endurance

I've been using the NFC version (made in Vietnam) for 14 months. The interface has everything a regular user would need. Battery life is good, camera quality is perfect. Main problems come with performance of the Broadcom chip which is really terrible in certain areas. Phone boots for about 40 seconds but the boot of clock and flashlight widgets takes more than a minute. It takes 30 seconds to calculate the storage statistics which is ridiculous in my opinion. If you are a multi-tasker and you update many apps regularly (like I do) you should know that this CPU just can't handle it properly. But if you just want to have a very wide range of tools and high quality shooter (even though it processes slowly) this is a beautiful device for the money. :) Overall, everything is good except the fact that the Broadcom is too cheap (to lower device price), so don't expect miracles like Exynos performance.

I have been using this phone for around 1.5 years, following are my observations. - Works smoothly even with considerable number of apps. - Very reliable, no laggy screens, no frequent reboot required. - It has fallen many times, no damaged to screen but outer cover. Yes buddy.. it has gorilla glass protection. Never update to 4.2.2. It is boring and laggy. Trust me. I have used 2 phones. One with 4.1.2 and the other one is 4.2.2. I bought my second s2 plus 2 months ago and it came with 4.2.2 preinstalled. Though there are some updated features in it, it is so laggy. And even the UI is not that impressive as 4.1.2.

use an usb otg cable to connect microusb port of s2 plus.Then connect mouse or key board or wireless keyboard/ mouse adaptor to the usb otg cable. Mouse is shown on the mobile screen. with keyboard you can SMS etc. Right mouse button for back option. Left mouse button for forward.You can connect the otg pendrive directly to the mobile and copy files etc.

Very happy with this phone. Dropped it lots of times without case, no serious damage. Yesterday i dropped my phone in the sink while brushing my teeth and the water tap was full open. Even after this 'phone shower' it still works perfectly. Guess I was lucky also. The battery life is very good, the camera is good and the phone is fast enough for browsing and youtube. This phone is even better than the S5 for me. Why? It can be comfortably used with one hand, and that's the most important thing for me in a phone.

this is an excellent device. i have had it for the past 2 months and i must say it serves very well although i think Samsung should have installed 16GB internal memory. battery lasts up to 1 day and 20 hours of average use. screen display is superb and camera clarity is perfect. thank you Samsung for reincarnating the galaxy s3 :)

It's not a problem..... When the signal strength is low the phone automatically searches for other network towers...... And at that time when a call comes u r unable to take it or displays an error....... I think changing ur sim will do the trick..... If u want to register ur sim to a network go to settings->more networks->mobile networks->network operators then ur phone will automatically search for networks available in ur area and will display them.... All u have to do is click on the connection name u have..... Eg:- if ur sim is docomo..... Click on the docomo network after searching......

Sorry I can't help but pl.check the version of your phone.Also note that somettimes after upgradation some original features are lost while some new are added.Also phone manufacturers, vary the features of phone from region to region or from country to country.

This is the second s2 plus that i am using. This was sent to me from china from my brother. This is an original phone but i found some apps are missing in this phone that i found on my previous phone. Specially the weather widget is not in the home screen. And also some major apps like "s suggest" are missing in this phone. Even the catalogues are in chinese language. I tried to download that weather widget from play store but that original app is not there. Can i get all the original applications and samsung UI by upgrading the original software again? Need help..

ya. Absolutely it is an awesome phone samsung has ever manufactured. It has a lot of functions of s3. The best thing i like in this phone is the fast internet speed without getting heated like some other phones. but i dont know why this is not as popular as the previous s2 though this is a great upgrade for it.

You are welcome..! Is this happening due to the little distance between the camera and the flash or powerfulness of the flash? I noticed this when taking photos specially in low lighting conditions. There is no any problem when taking photos in complete dark conditions.

Yes sometimes flash light gets reflected from item whose photo u r taking.And it come back to mobile camera.Also distance between mobile and item also may b affecting. This is my opinion. Thanks

Which phone is the best? I am between s2 plus ,s3 and s4 mini,s3 mini VE or if you have another suggestion .I want a phone that you can hear it easy when it rings,and the speaker is good.I don't want it to get warms every time I talk(via 2G )or just sending messages.I don't play often games. This s2 plus is nicer that s4 mini. And also heats less(actually no heating at all even in heavy usage). No any lag. Battery is also very good. I didnt have any problem in typing messages. If u like you can go for it without any hesitation. s2 plus is a great phone.

Pl.do not misguide people.your piece may have problem then u take it to service centre. Of course some region may not have yet received 4.2.2 upgrade but that does not mean this phone is bad. This phone is quite good only samsung is not giving 4.4.2 jb kitkat update and also not bothered to give 4.2.2 update to all regions.butbthis phone is worth buying.

Excellent phone. Go for it. I used the NFC version of this phone. Features are excellent. Display is superb. Colour collaboration is pretty good. Images appear like real to be thankful for the display and GPU. Battery life is also pretty good. Does not get heated so much when compared to original s2. Almost on par with galaxy s3. Many high end games could be played without any lag. The only problem is the lack of file manager. I used international version. Made by samsung. This was the best touch screen phone i have used so far.

Guys I hv been using this phn for abt 5 months. Anyone do not buy this phn its not worth it.its so laggy and u dont get even the 4.2.2 update.this phn is a failure. Build quality is so bad.u cant even play most wanted. Brodcom chipset is a shit.internel memory is so low.although camera is at its best.phn freezes literally every time.it has a ppi of 217 for a 4.3inch screen thats horrible. If u r going to buy this just buy the iphone 4s.

This is good phone with good quality audio and camera functions and some features though less than original s2 No ring volume is not that bad but not loud also . However this phone is already declared obsolete by samaung itself so forget any upgrade and I think its manufacturing is also stopped by samsung. Now decision is yours.

Rooting this phone will not do sny good. Cos give more trouble in time. Best is to disable unwanted apps and then free up space. I got almost 3gb space and installed apps of my liking. Cheap price cheap features. Good day to day use.

No,this may be because of loose connection of battery . Next time if phone shut down, then open out back cover, remove battery,clean/wipe out battery contacts and put the battery back again,start the phone.Also,in future take care to keep the phone carefully on say table or bed wherever you keep . Because of jerk or shock, battery contact gets loose. Update has nothing to do with it.

Hi, Habo and Dante t Why you people do not install the two apps. 1)Battery Doctor and 2)Clean Master. Both the apps are free.and will help to maintain the speed of this beautiful phone I.e. s2 plus. Give it a try for 15-20 days and If you are unsatisfied you can unstall them any time.But this should solve your problem. All the Best.

While s4 mini is expected to get the same update any time now.S2 plus has ram of 1Gb while s4 mini ram is 1.5 Gb.Also s4 mini has come later than s2 plus, hence little modern than s2plus. S2 plus is not easily available but s4 mini is easily available.feature wise s4 mini is somewhat better than s2plus.s4 mini glass is better glass.

No, S2 Plus has not 4G.. The difference with older S2 consists in that Plus has better GPU, touchwiz v.5, sure newer android system 4.1.2 updateable to 4.2.2. But the worse thing, it has lower memory, only 8 GB..

I am also a Galaxy S2 Plus User & Used Telenor Network for 3G Service & Its Runs Smoothly. I think Its fault of Ur Device or its may be Possible that ur Sim Card not Support 3G due to Older Version of Sim (less than 64K sim) or Manufactring fault of Sim, Check another Operators Sim for 3G Access.

My s2 plus is not showing any 3G or H+ nor connecting to internet. Although i have enabled Mobile data in mobile networks and set the network mode to GSM/WCDMA (auto mode)and restarted the mobile several times but unable to enable 3G. By installing Du Battery Saver from play store u will have a touch button that close with one click running apps that consume battery. Too keep always on the power saving option. With those my battery ends at last 45-50 hours with normal usage ( 6 hours web and games for two days).

dude i mean to say like if the phone has 8 GB total device capacity, then isn't the phone suppose to show total 8GB device capacity (including all the space consumed by phone to run its software) instead of total space capacity 3.95? i got galaxy note 3 and its of 16 GB and the phone also displays 16 GB total memory despite it has consumed 4.07 GB to run system but this s2 shows only 3.95 GB total memory and now have around 2.5 GB free space after downloding some songs and apps like viber,fb etc

It might have been the worst of all my phones. In it's time of course. But certainly and by far the worst of the three smart phones I've had. Or I can't really call it a smart phone because it wasn't exactly smart. I mean the look was fine. But that was about it. Before the S2 I had a SONY Experia Mini Pro which I found rather nice. But after it had died - as a Mac user I thought of iPhone and considered it unjustifiably expensive. Over the top. So I looked around, read all the reviews and bought the S2. That's where the drag started. And it went on for another months! It never broke down it never froze but it never really worked or delivered results either. There always seemed to be some inexplicable BUT. As someone used to the indulgent efficiency of Apple products I couldn't bear it any longer. Some three day ago a good man replied to my advertisement - with a deep relief I gave him the S2 and 120� and he gave me a worn-out iPhone 4s. All the problems I'd have with the tiam-tun somehow miraculously evaporated the first night and I woke up into new days without a device that never really works, presumably speaks some outlandish language and which keeps being a nuisance.

Take out back cover,battery,sim card etc.Keep the phone open in this condition in sunshine or wrap it in blanket (in open condition only),so that internal circuitry will get warm and moisture still trapped inside phone will get evaporate.Keep the phone in this wrapped condition for few hours. It will be better if phone is kept in wrapped condition under sun light or near gas burner(for some time).Idea is, to remove trapped moisture. And then try your luck.Best luck.

You are right Danial.Samsung has literally cheated s2 plus owners.First of all some features from original s2 are missing.Then within three months of its launch s2 plus was declared as obsolete. How any mobile gets obsolete within 03 months? And now this 4.2.2 mess,which is created by samsung themselves. Again,phone like s3 mini and grand r said to be getting jb kitkat 4.4.2 update,and here s2 plus is not even updated to 4.2.2 universally.This shows samsung has become too greedy careless about its customers.Though with same customers samsung has come up.Also note,s2 plus is capable of update to 4.2.2 and even 4.4.2. This is the Samsung way of treating its customers.

The phone is the best in "value for money". For a mid range phone i think it's form the best choices. Highly recommended.I have the 4.2.2 for almost a month and works smoothly. The battery lasts 1.5 days with medium use and 1 day with heavy use.I am totally satisfied from this phone as second device (Note II is my primary)...What i don't understand is why so many people complain about updates ...Guys never think that if u get the latest update ur phone will be faster or better....(read what happened to SIII when got the update of 4.3).. if ur phone works fine with the version it has; no need to update it to the latest.I am not defending Samsung.... Hi peeps, I have been using this phone for five months and it works perfectly as the day I bought it. No any issues. It heats a very little. Actually there is no heat. It gets slightly warm when using heavily. Super phone actually. Camera, display, internet, call quality, sounds all are great. I got installed "poweramp" app and now the music is excellent. In addition I have installed "bizcard manager", "Handcent sms", "Automatic call recorder-Global effect" which are really awesome apps. No any worries actually. No need to install software updates because the phone is perfect. All the rest of the things can be obtained by the apps in the play store. So i must say that software update is not needed at all. Some who have installed software update repent on having some issues. For eg- fast draining battery. The original software version (android 4.1.2 jelly bean) is really very good. Before buying, I was alittle bit reluctant about this device because this is not as popular as the original s2. But now I love to have this phone. I think the only big difference between S2 and S2 plus is the internal memory. But it's not a problem to me because I am not a heavy user. However the user can expand the memory via a micro SD card. There are alot of apps in the play store. They are so impressive. Really an excellent phone. For those who like this phone, I would like to say, buy it..without thinking for a second time. Remember to buy only an original samsung phone fron a reliable store... Regards...

I think update depend on from which country you bought the phone . As in your case phone is not getting updated while your cousins phone is updated which she had locally purchased . I suggest you better go to nearest service Centre they will help you.

Hi! I have a Samsung Galaxy S2 Plus and upgraded it to 4.2.2 and it gets worse. The screen heats up, lags, and freezes and the battery suddenly loses charge. I have to reset the phone from time to time! Got fed up and use my original S2 again which is much better with 4.1.2 update.

If there are 804 specified that means the reset should be 220MB. 1GB has 1024MB in total. And yes maybe the reset is used by the system but as far as I know the RAM should be recorded as it is not as it's used, shared etc. Could be only 804MB, 1G is told just for the market.

It's very fast and smart phone and the update 4.2 is very nice and fast I advice anyone to update it to 4.2 its more stable and smother than 4.1 but I notice battery drain a little fast and I think it is normal because the performance is better than 4.1 and it is not a problem for me .my phone is s2 plus I9105p (with nfc)

I dont recommend updating unless it is from an authorized samsung service centre because there is some risk that the phone may go death. In such an occasion, the warranty can be terminated. So be safe always. In addition, once updated, we cannot go back to the previous version in case of misperformance or any fault.

Yeah. The complete memory is 8 gb. But 4gb of it is taken over by the android system so that the user is left with just 4 gb. Dont worry. Its normal. ..I dont recommend u to update the software becausr there may be some adverse effects. In my country the new update for this, android 4.1.2jb is available. But I did not get that update.

Normal version (GT-i9105) The NFC version is better because it has nfc wireless connectivity (like bluetooth) and it comes with a small packaging box. Hi friends, I have been using this phone for 3 months and this is what I feel about this device. The phone is actually very good for its price ( in sri lanka, around Rs. 39,000/= The display(The glass is Gorilla glass though it is not mentioned), Sound quality, call quality and the volume, finishing, screen resolution, application support, games performance, internet speed, camera and video quality are actually very good. Apart from these positive features, I found some minor issues. Cons. 1. sound of the music player lacks a little bit bass( but good and very clear. Could have been better) 2. Unable to send very long SMS messages.(we cannot send an SMS message if it exceeds the total number of characters of 3 SMS messages(160×3) We have send such long messages in mms format because it automatically turns into mms format) So we have to send such a SMSes as a seperate sms messages. Dont worry there is a solution. 3. Unable to receive business cards from nokia phones ( contact numbers via .vcf format. Don't worry. There is a solution. 4. Unlike in nokia phones,The alarm clock does not work if we turn the phone off. Theses are the major priblems I found in my s2 plus. Don't worry there are solutions for all the above problems. For the sms issue there is an app in the play store called "Handcent sms" Using this app we can send long sms messages. For the business card receiving issue, we can install the app "bizcard manager" app available in play store. We can activate aircraft mode for the alarm clock issue but we cannot switch the phone off. So considering all these things, though this has some minor issues we can overcome them.. so I can say that this is an excellent phone..

The easy way to root S2 plus is using Framaroot applications... download the apk here Procedure: 1. Run the framaroot apk on your phone 2. Select install Super SU 3. from the list of exploit select either Sam, Frodo, Legolas and Aragorn 4. Once the exploit is selected, the device would be rooted and you would see a message �Success� Superuser and su binary installed. You have to reboot your device� 5. Click OK to reboot your device and that's it ur S2 plus is now rooted. To check if ur device is really rooted... download root checker apk... I flashed my phone to Russian official 4.2.2 android and the result: MUCH more better interface more stable some extra camera option better battery life improved GPU function App to SD capability to sum up: if I gave 4.2.2 rom 100 points as score I gave 4.1.2 just 60-70 points. I didn't root my phone, I read of Xda website some claming that rooted phone have had some problems with android 4.2.2. so if you have official Russian 4.1.2 STRONGLY recommend to update your phone.

so sorry about that. I am unable to give any idea about that because i haven't connected my phone to the PC. Possibly ur phone might have infected by a virus if u have connected ur phone to PC. I recommend a hard reset for ur phone 4 the previous issue.

Don't worry. ur phone is original. From 8 GB, 4 GB is taken over by the Android OS. We get around 3.6GB..

Many thanks 4 ur complements.. I think definetely there must be a faulty app in ur phone which u have installed. In my phone too there was a laggy condition at the beginning specially when playing games.. Then I uninstalled all my downloaded apps and reinstalled only the most useful apps. Then my issue got solved.. Now there isn't any lag in my phone. First of all I think it's better 4 u to do a factory reset and see whether ur issue get solved or not.

Others are also afraid that after updating their phone it will become laggy... NO THATS NOT TRUE, there's NO LAG AT ALL, the phone even performs better using Jelly Bean 4.2.2

I have an S2 plus for 6 months now and here are some real infos i could share about the phone. 1. RAM is not 1 GB, it is only 800 mb 2. Internal memory is 8 GB but android is using 4GB so u only have available 4GB left. 3. It is having Jelly Bean 4.1.2 and sad to say it is not supporting transfer of applications to SD. 4. You need to update it to Jelly Bean 4.2.2 so that transfer of application to SD is supported. 5. Dont be afraid to update ur phone to 4.2.2 because the latest version is much stable, even the battery performs better. 6. NBA 2k13 and NBA 2k14 is not working on this phone. NFS most wanted is okay but if u play long enough and u want to exit it hangs up. NFS Hot Pursuit, Asphalt, Modern Combat and GTA is playable. 7. Camera and Video of this phone is not excellent but above average. 8. The Display of this phone is excellent. 9. Wi-fi reception is okay, browsing is okay, it is also capable of playing 1080p videos. 10. skype and tango is working fine on this phone. 11. If u are a gamer don't buy this phone... but if u need basic smartphone, i recommend this one.

Is there a lot of active apps in the notification bar? If it is so, this could happen. Do a hard reset for your phone and delete all the useless apps. Then it will be alright. You need not to remove the battery at such times. Just press the power on/off button for about 9 seconds. Then your phone will restart.

When I am typing long text messages, then suddenly some long text messages turn automatically into MMS after exceeding a certain letter limit.. So then it can only be sent to MMS compatible phones. not for normal phones. Is there any way to increase the capacity of text messages?

I have Galaxy s2 plus. First of all i have to say that it is an excellent phone. Everything is great. For example touch, display, music, battery life, internet speed, application support, sound etc. Lumia 620 also good and it has super sensitive touch. Lumia620 is a little bit better in touch than s2 plus. S2 plus has 1.2Ghz dual core processor but 620 has 1Ghz processor. S2 plus has 1GB RAM but 620 has just 512MB RAM. S2 plus heats less than 620. S2 plus has a wonderful processor(broadcom) it consumes less power but it is fast. So the battery life is better than in 620. Those are the main differences. In s2 plus sound is very good, clear and loud. But it lacks a little bit of bass in music player than lumia 620. In addition , the s2 plus is very much user friendly than lumia 620. Features and apps are fantastic than lumia 620. Finally s2 plus supports normal sim(mini sim) but 620 supports micro sim(small sim) In conclusion, according to my point of view, s2 plus is greater than 620. thanks

If u targeting apps, Games for sure buy S2 I9105 as Android is flexible and developers attractive more than Blackberry 10 OS, also appworld cannot be compared with Google play. but if u prefer highest specs, Z10 is higher in CPU, Ram and internal storage. But if I were you I'd not buy the both,as my mobile I9105 it's battery lasts only 4 one day in normal usage (WIFI, Music, Calls), you can check Z10 users reviews, google it and decide :) .

If ur on fhe go means usb otg it means u can attach pendrives,harddisks etc to ur phone via a special usb otg adapter.. To view the contents f your pebdrive r hard disk on the phone.. And also the file system should be fat32 r exfat. Androud does not mount ntfs drives without rooting.

For all those whining abt internal storage..yes this phone has only 3.94gb for apps the rrst is taken over by the android os and samsung bloatware.if u want to install more games u have to root while the android 4.2.2 update solves the lack f space for apps for abt 70 % f apps available on playstore. To take a snapshot hold down home and power button at once,and the snapshot will be taken.

Better to check whether the network mode has been set to manual. If it is so, change it to auto and then switch the phone off and on. In any struck, you press the power button for 9 seconds. I love this phone! I have previously owned the xperia ion and the S2 GT-I9100 and none of them come close to the S2 plus. The gaming experience is unmatched, response speed brilliant, fast internet (on tethering or wifi). Well it depends on the architecture .cortex a9 of same speed is gaster than cortex a8,a7,a6etc. Newer snapdragon krait processors running at 1ghz dual core is faster than equivalent cortex a9 at 1.2ghz speed.cortex a9 architecture is quite old,abt 2.5 years. Zo Yez cortex a9 at 1.2 ghz is faster than equivalent a8,a7 or lower of 1.2ghz..

if u have a rooted phone go to build prop and edit the ro .product model no.to -gt-i9505 and reboot now u can play asphalt 8 at high graphics setting. p.s-do note that the samsung camera app will crash under this setting if u want to use the camera revert to previous original model no in build.prop r restore the build.prop backup file and restart . do note that the game will play on low settings under the default product model no.

Hey dont misguide people. S2 plus is an excellent phone. It has gorilla glass though it is not mentioned. The glass is as hard as in original s2 which has a clear indication of gorilla glass. The hardness of the glasses of the two phones are same to the touch. Dont spread false information here. I have been using this phone for 2 months now. No any problem. well, i hav used phones with gorilla glass(xperia z and vice versa), this one doesn't feel right... i mean, u cant press a gorilla glass to damp under ur finger... that thing is hard, but this one feels soft like plastic... and gorilla glass touch responsiveness is so much better than this... compass does not works altho they said it has one, and completely hangs with games like asphalt 8 or nfsmw12... cant update further than 4.1.2 either... help...?

Yes u can upgrade to 4.2.2 jb but if ota updates are not available in your country u have to update it manually by flashing via odin 3.07. Visit www.sammobiles.com and go to firmwares section and key in ur model no. to download the latest version of your choice or u could wait until the ota update is available in your country.

well i have good news for u, it does have corning gorilla glass, i don't why many of the websites said it didn't have gorilla glass. i have s2 and s2 plus and i felt there was no difference when touching both screen. it was pretty thick on s2 and also on the s2 plus. and i even heard people did the scratch test on s2 plus and they can hardly make the screen scratch...

Previously i had the question whether this model has a gorilla glass or not. Recently i watched a scratch test of s2+. The glass did not get any scratches. In addition the wikipedia mentions this model among other models which feature gorilla glass. Moreover as now i am using this model i feel the glass is scratch resistant. This is the worst mobile set I've ever used. Bought just 2 months back, couldn't be satisfied with it's performance. Get restarted again and again automatically. Not that speedy. Becomes slow within very short period of time. Not recommended at all... It's just waste of money and time. I never expected this kind of service from Samsung.

actually galaxy s2 plus's sound quality could have been better. yet it is good enough. it can be rated as AVERAGE. The device comes with an equalizer. But by adjusting it, we cannot expect a great sound. the "pop" equalizer adjustment can produce considerably a good sound quality. If u are a music lover who wishes to have a great audio quality most of the time, I dont recommend this phone.

Battery life is quite good. I use internet around 250mb(with 3G), listen to music about 20 mins and make phone calls about 15 mins a day. The battery lasts a full day. (4.1.2 jelly bean) I have a question. If i upgrade my phone to 4.2.2 jelly bean, would the battery life get better than this? Kindly need an answer..

For those who like to listen to music often through the phone loud speaker, I dont recommend this phone. The audio quality is not good in phone loud speaker. Dont know about the quality of the hands free kit. The phone loud speaker has no bass. It has much treble sound. This is mostly seen when playing a song through the music player.. The only problem i have in this phone is this. Volume is good. But there is no bass sounds in the loud speaker. Treble sound quality is clearly seen..vocals are clear.but no bass. Be informed. I came to know this fact only after i bought this phone. :(

Hi, It seems there was net interruption while updating. Ensure that while updating there is continuous internet otherwise your phone may get damaged. You will get instructions on phone during updation. About Kies i do not have any idea.If you are not sure better go to authorised centre.

it seems while updating,either net connection may have been disrupted or some problem in your pc.I upgraded thro wi-fi.When net is continous then only go for update.you get proper instructions on your mobile while updating. Good Luck.

Hi.. I bought s2 plus yesterday. I went through many reviews and comments before buying it. Even i got the help of this website. So this is how i actually feel about it. Phone is nice with blue grey. Extremely nice. Camera is good. It is up to the level(8mp). Internet speed is also the same. display excellent. Ring tones are loud enough to be heard even in a very noisy environment. The audio quality could have been better. But it is good. Phone is solid. It has a strong build. Hands free set is of great quality. Internet speed is also good. Fast. I think it is very much worth for its price. Thanks.. Hope to comment more in future after using this phone at an in depth level..

I think the audio quality of S II Plus is just okay, it could have been better. It has a speaker in the back-bottom, and the ring is slightly lower as well. Music playing is easy though.

hi, Where in mumbai, upgrade jellybean 4.2.2 for s2 plus has reached.i enquired at 02 authorised centers near mumbai.but at both places i was told jb 4.2.2 for s2 plus has not reached.Also they could not inform when same will be available. i have feeling that samsung has stopped the upgrade for s2 plus.

samsung kies is a official software for samsung phones, you can upgrade the firmware from there or if you have a 3G plan activated you can siply go to your phone settings ----about device---software update. its quick and fast

After 10 days of agreesive follow up, finally got a warranty replacment against my S2 plus. A belssing in disguise, the co handling the Samsung warranty in Lahore did not have S2 plus is stock so they offered my other models instead. I went for S3 mini and had to pay a little extra for it since it's a slightly costlier set here that the S2 plus. I an thrilled with the S3 mini and realize that I should have not bought the S2 plus to begin with. Though the S3 mini's processor is clocked at 1 gig as compared to the S2 plus, but the Novathor CPU and the Adreno GPU simply work flawlessly as X-plane mobile works smoothly on the S3 mini which was not working correctly on the S2 plus. I am not a tech wiz but I can sum up from my experience that the Broadcom processor and GPU on the S2 mini are not going to be everyone's best bet. Of course all S2 plus users have their right of opinion but I just wanted to share my hands on experience using it. Thanks
