Hi! This phone is awesome. There is no lagginess happen. I have 1 GB Memory Stick and I can play movies here. The video formats like .avi and .wmv video files can read. The camera is so clear. :))

This is an amazing fone. Have it since 2 years nw. Camera resolution only 2 MP but shots are no less dat a professional camera that too without flash. Media player throws awesom bass. However, minor problems like too much multi-taskin will make it hang. The body color fades with time.

I just soo00 love this phone, it's not cheap and not expensive either.. 2MP only with no flash but that is resolvable by having a good bright light.. pics are so clear..videos are way way better than 770i.. very stylish.. buttons are easy to press..

have it for 3 years i think (2009) if not mistaken. good 1. last long as in indestructible, drop, kick, thrown and so on. 2. sound still good, never used it on maximum volume 3. fast download whether on web or operamini 4. streaming youtube 5. track id bad 1 hang/freeze but you get used to it 2 battery life only 1 day 3 no wifi 4 large phone, prefer size like w890 or w880 5 hang/ slow when media + apps are on. 6 service keep change to EDGE when on bad service area overall like cause it last long but hate it when it come to charging it every night.

If a cell phone gets hung up (freezes/stops), it can be an issue with cold temperature and media library update (the latter mostly after restarting), I have a Nokia 6600 fold which does that...especially annoying when you should get a sms-ticket to go on a bus (Sweden)... I simply take out the memory card and it works like it should (unless it's still to cold)...

After one year of usage it started to restart itself and lag. It's super annoying and I already take really good care of my phone. I've only dropped it a few times on soft ground. However, this phone is very pretty. I always get compliments on it.

I also downloaded many beautiful flash themes into the phone. You must have knowledge about this before you can download. Just watch flash themes tutorial videos found in the internet. I am also using free browsing trick. I can connect to the internet for free anytime anywhere. No charge, no need of wifi.

I have this phone for a year now and I don't have troubles with it, except that it has few scratches now acquired from falling many times. It hang a few times but it somehow could run again after a brief restart. To avoid hang problems, use the phone properly. Don't install useless apps or use too many applications at same time. Don't send multiple group text at one time. Like a human being, don't let the phone have a heavy work, it will get tired and retire.

I've had this phone for just over a year now, there are a few problems that I get with it. It turns itself off when it feels like it, and it's a bit slow. On the plus side, it holds so many text messages just on the phone memory. My inbox was finally full after having 20,982 text messages on my phone. It also looks good, which is always nice (: Overall, it is a good phone but it does get annoying when it resets itself and when it's a bit slow.

I also have the problem of the phone (K660i) that hangs, at times very, very slow to respond (listening to saved voice mail, and if wrong number dialled and you want to stop it - this is virtually impossible), shutting down by itself. It would appear that these problems are rather common on SE as I have seen the same problems on a number of SE models. I like the features but it is an extremely irritating phone to use. My first SE but with-out question definitely my last. Will never buy another SE(of any model)

I usually back up all my file in SE Suite that can be downloaded in their website. I have 2GB mmc and it doesnt hang.. The pix quality is awesome if you know how to adjust.. You can only get your phone se k660i upgrade online which you need to download the upgrade software from there main site,after it as been download and install on your pc. It is then you can get your phone upgrade with your usb cable and internet ready.

I think it's not that hard to understand. A200 platform is more complicated than A100, but unfortunately it lacks the stability that A100 had. And the worst thing is SE hasn't given better engine to support this platform, same ARM processor, virtual RAM, small cache, as we found in A100 platform. You'll see the same thing would happen if you install Windows Vista to your Pentium III powered pc.

It's been 1.5 years since I've bought this, and to be honest I'm quite disappointed. The buttons above the keypad are not very durable, for me the up and end call button did not respond anymore. I got it fixed, after a few more months and the buttons have broke again. It's a decent phone, but does not last long in terms of durability.

If your phone starts to reset itself, the best thing to do is upgrade the software. I had that problem with that phone, upgraded the software and now, i don't get it resetting itself.

i think it's a nice looking phone. but after i use it for a month it started to turn off itself eventhough the battery status still 28%.i like overall application but the battery sucks...it won't last more than 12 hrs even on standby.i won't recommend this phone to anyone.

To set up the internet go to: Menu - Settings - Connectivity - Streaming settings, then create new internet settings (depends on your provider) or you can get the parameters by OTA from your provider. The 'E' symbol means your phone is working under EDGE connection / band, 'G' means the phone is working under GSM connection. I had this phone for almost 1 year now. It's pretty good if you don't upload so much pictures or music. It does freeze a little if you have too much application all at the same time. over-all a well deserve 5 stars for this phone! Oh, its much better if you buy a larger capacity for the memory card.

Having the phone for 18 months. Almost facing no problem. Everything works good. Only some little problems like: - its always restarts or knock off by itself - terribly slow, mainly when media is working in the background - HSDPA speed is a joke - some files in the card are sometimes missing/ got deleted after reboot -sometimes the icons and thumbnails in the gallery and applications disappear and return after restarting Thats it. Just such a little problem that I have been facing in every single day.

after a few months of upgrading the firmware, it started going crazy again.......this time it's much worse than ever.......sometimes it stops reading my sim card then reboots on its own, then it doesn't read my sim card at all, I have to keep turning it on and off just for luck that it would read it. When it reads it, it doesn't give me any signal, it always says no network coverage...........It's driving me crazy, and I'm feeling very irritated with this phone Conclusion: The phone just looks good. I'm planning to buy a new phone in a few months :)

This has been my 3rd SE phone. I have previously used the K550 and the K700. When i bought the K660, i was initially impressed by the features- such as fast internet access, impressive download speeds ets. But no sooner had weeks passed i started experiencing it's downsides- which i now see are not unique to me. The constant rebooting of the phone and now the jamming of the number 4 key- was such a great inconvenience that i now wanna try out another brand of phones. I have been so much of an SE loyalists, but it's goodbye for now. FYI, a few of my friends bought SE phones because of me. I have shared my good and now very bad experiences with them. I know they'll be investing in other brands soon.

i have 8 years experience fixing/ repairing and selling phones. a this k660i is a cracking good phone, solidly built, good battery life,stylish looking, fast key pad functions, 3g compatable, clear photos. down side is it freeezes, what i did to sort it was to restore the phone completely in the phone setting options you will find it. do the full restore its best. them keep deleting your old text messages, and turn of your phone everyday for a few min to reboot the phone and you will have many years of useage..

It's a nice looking phone, and it works perfectly for about 2 weeks. Then, it starts freezing and turning itself off. To avoid this, download the Sony Ericsson update service, and update your phone on a regular basis. However, I did not do this, and my K660 keeps saying 'insert USIM'. I've updated it, and still no luck. Not a very good phone to be honest. Very appealing, but it WILL let you down!

To all who r experiencing phone freeze or restarts: My phone was running fine until i started adding 3rd party software to enable the flash enabled themes that this phone supports. The only advantage of using flash theme is cool menus, some r just really awesome. To enable flash themes u have to turn off the phone, take out and reisert the battery and then connect to computer via usb holding the c button and then using a third party software inserting the flash file. After adding like 10 flash theme files the phone started to freeze whenever i dialed a no. and later started to restart on its own. Then i updated the firmware via my computer and internet and wala... its as good as new. No probs now. Upgrade to new firmware resets the phone. So b sure to backup everything including contacts, apps etc.

My phone shuts off in the middle of texting or while I'm in a phone call. When I am talking to someone, the phone will blank out for 5 secs so I can't hear the other person. Good looking phone, but annoying to deal with the random screw ups.

I've got this cellphone for about 5 months. this baby is great for gaming, downloading, music, video, video recording and chatting. the problem is it sucks for calling and messaging. i can use it for more than an hour for gaming, downloading etc, but when it comes to calling, it always goes off after less than 2 minutes. i always have my communication cut off with this.

I had a horrible experience with this phone. it was sure nice at first until my buttons stopped working. The '3', '6', '1', and 'send' keys failed to work at about 6 months of use even after taking it apart and cleaning it.

yeah. the phone hangs if u type too fast or click to fast.... the camera is kinda ok 2MP clear in the sunlight.. night time can put night mode. thought its not clear at night but bright. and no flashlight.. i dunno if its better than o2 mobile phone..

Within the price range of K660, this phone is quite okay. I exchanged phone with my brother because I thought that the battery life would last much longer than Nokia's 6500 slide. It might be because I am listening to music too much that the battery life is not as long as I wish it would be. Yea, this phone is quite okay. I like slider or clamshell more but since I didn't have enough $ to buy a new one, let's just settle with this phone.

forget w302, it's horrible, w660 resolution is really low 176x220, I suggest you take a look at the k660 cyan on black, I have one for 4 months and I really love it, A2 and all, if you're into modding then it's a good choice :D

This phone was a free upgrade. When i first got it i had a range of problems so i updated the firmware on the phone and it works fine now. The camera on it is a good quality but without a flash. I find myself charging it every other day, which isnt too bad but my older phone lasted atleast 3 days with the same amount of use. Its a hardy little phone, dropped it many times. The back usually pops off though.

The design is nice you have to admit though, but the track ID thing is a total waste of space, you may aswell find out what the song is yourself. it does blackout and reboots by itself, it sometimes also freezes, but a software update would remedy all those, it worked with my k660i, and never did get any of those problems since.

THe K660i have some trouble about the firmware because it is not stable. Camera is about 4.5/10 and 2/10 at night. Things I like most is the intelligence address. When you don't remember last number or any number except when you hard reset, just adding some number and it will remind you. The music is 8/10. Color of case is good with white and light green. But, in conclusion, you should choose another. Peace!

I've bought dis phone last week.. The small a.numeric have good response for typing text with my left n right thumb.. The screen is awesome.. N mw wine black casing is perfect,but if you use dis phone too heavy like hear mp3,browsing with 3,5G/3G or even Edge +play java games the battery normally to charge every 24 hours. But with light function it's can survive for about 2 days at least.. Btw i'm typing dis opinion at mw new K660..^e^ big thanks for gsm arena..

The official lastest firmware is is R1FA035. I just update my K660i yesterday. There is unofficial firmware R1FA037, haven't tested it. View hints of symbol: 3G = u are in 3G coverage area (internet speed is up to 384 kbit/s at or below pedestrian speeds, but only 128 kbit/s in a moving car. *DEPENDS ON YOUR GSM Services) H = u are in HSDPA coverage area (internet speed is 7x times than 3G, some say 3.6 Mbits to 7.2Mbits, but it very depends on your gsm service availability) usually to use that service u had to register the service on GSM provider. There's no pdf reader but you can always install a pdf reader application that runs on java. oh, I'm pleased with My K660i! ;) No single regret on buying Chen! Go for it!!

well.. i think the "H" means HSDPA or 3,5G - perhaps u know what does "3G" icon mean - so, u get an HSDPA network as long u see an "H" icon on top. other things, if u see an "E" letter above the signal bars, means u get an EDGE or 2,5G network, then if u see a "G" located at the same spot like an "E" does, means u get only GPRS or 2G network, but the last one doesn't apply if 3G icon shows up.. i hope u understand :p

Tonal quality superb(even with supplied HPM 62 headset).The volume could have been a little bit higher like in Nokia's. Design wise front design is great, such a beauty. At The back, design can best be described as a 'quick fix' job. Plastic used here is cheap. I mean extremely cheap. The design baffles me. Now I have a peculiar problem. When i switch on the phone with out a SIM inserted, the demo comes on and repeats and does not allow me to go to the standby screen. Somebody pl help. I would also like to buy a handsfree. sometimes the media will be so annoying... converted mp4 video is played unsynchronizely.. the pic plays slower.. when playing music causes a big slowdown for the system, and when i typing this message with my k660i, the keypad locked itself.. i don't think i pressed any buttons for locking.. it's 1st time

Bought it about half a year already. Came across a few problems: 1) it hangs whenever i opened 3 apps and the screen went black and refuse to restart by itself. I tried to restart by pressing the Power button but in vain. Eventually i have to remove the battery while it's still switched on. 2) sometimes, it happened quite suddenly, i couldn't hear any sound from the caller speaker, so instead i had to switch to loudspeaker and hear from the back speaker if someone needs to speak with me. Happen quite a lot, it's embarassing and inconvenient if in a crowd, you got to scream and listen carefully to the back of the phone. But then it went normal after a while. And once, the screen went all black(like in shutdown mode -- i made sure because i pressed most of the buttons, trying to make it lit again), and i was so shocked because the phone was still ringing and i was then expecting a call. I panicked and didn't know what to do so i just press the call button on the left, and amazingly it worked but my call was rerouted to the loudspeaker. Weird. Does anyone else have this prob? Is it a bug prob? 3) i thought, having the cute round buttons would make my lil fingers happy. Boy was i wrong! After a few min with it (i surf the net and IM with my phone), my fingers literally got numb and throbbing with pain

well... there's no way to know if u have a missed call or an sms coz the phone will turn to the sleep mode if it is in the standby mode for a long time. The easiest way to check it, just press one of the 2 volume button at right side. The screen will light up showing the clock and some events.. I hope u know...

thanks for answering. ok, i'll give you a scenario. for example, i left the phone in a room. someone send a sms but i wasn't able to hear it for some reason. then when i get back to check on my phone, the screen is still black/dark and i have to push any buttons on the keypad so that the screen will light and to know that i had sms message..is there any other way to know if i had a sms without pushing any buttons on the keypad? just like N70, the screen is gray/dark but still you can see an envelope that tells you that you have a sms message. i hope you understand. if u see the "G" icon above the signal bars, means the phone captures the gprs signal, if the icon turns "E", it appears to get an EDGE. if u see an "H" icon, means ur phone gets HSDPA signal.. what do u mean with ur last question? i can't catch it..

W660 can't store messages in the memory card because it doesn't have the new manage messages feature besides, the walkman player of W660 is almost the same as the new media player in K660.

i don't know, i bought this phone but im considering getting a Z750. Even though the voting results for this phone is higher, i find that my phone has a lot of problems. It constantly always shuts off by itself, and at fist i thought it was the battery problem but when i bought a new battery the problem still persisted. also all my media settings would suddenly disappear. Like my pictures and music, but once i turn my phone off an on again it would only come back for a short while. I have a friend who also has this phone and experienced the same problems. So i'm not sure if it's just the model or we both got sold faulty phones. So would the z750 be more worth it?

all are fools.k660 has arm9e processor.nokia ngage used to have much like this processor and nokia's most n series also.J benchmark has most results wrong.so almost every good sony ericsson phone and others will have the same mhz of arm 9e i.e. 200 mhz.n73 has same mhz.one processor cant have different mhz in different phones.

I've used this for about 3 days now. I bought the lime & white one and it's really pretty. The screen is really bright and I like how the keypad lights up in the dark. I like the way the phone is set up; the menu & media. The camera & video isn't the best but it's not bad. I haven't used the internet but I think it would be easy to use, especially with the shortcuts. Overall it's a really pretty phone and I would highly recommend it. There are better phones with more features but I don't think you could buy a better phone at this price range or a more attractive phone.

To turn of 3G, go to menu > settings > connectivity > mobile networks > GSM/3G networks > then choose GSM only. To turn off the internet, just create a blank internet profile, where U don't need to fill APN, IP, and the others. Thanks

this phone is not that great. It's quite average and it only looks good because they copied Nokia as always. Nokia were the brand at one stage that everyone were to have. This is a copy of the nokia 6120.. Just look at the chrome/metal edging the the similar specifiction.. Only difference is that sony ericsson made the internet and download speed quicker as it's a slightly later phone! I bet the nokia will out last the SonyEricsson. Nokia need to drop faulty N series and just take it easy! SonyEricsson har the same software as all of it's old phone's t68, k700.. And even one or two older ones.. Boring and still unreliable!

i dont know much about the software..hehe..what software do tou mean? there are some latest software that could be downloaded in sonyericsson.com oya...i have some information for anyone who has problem with the phone battery.. when u first buy, you should charge it for +- 8 hours in off condition and for daily use..dont wait until the battery runs out to charge and better to turn off the phone during charge ( about 2.5 hours) i dont know why but they said it will make your battery live longer.. so you better try it!

i think that's the normal price. seek it at plaza marina, they usually sell up to 50rb cheaper. all i know, different colors hv the different price, where lime on white is more expensive, as long i know that that includes 256mb of m2, whereas cyan on black gives 512mb of m2 in the box. EDGE n HSDPA is really far... 2,5G against 3,5G... N of course the tariffs are so different. Man... When an H symbol shows up at status bar.. I've registered TelkomselFLASH.. And I'll consider to surf if the H has showed up.. FLASH is damn expensive... Rp 350/min.. If being multiplied by an hour... Rp 21.000 is for an hour... It's really expensive for a student like me :-(... Better ke warnet juga.. ^^

I get the HSDPA symbol. It's a black on blue H beside the signal indicator. If it doesn't show up on yours, that just means that there is no HSDPA coverage, or your provider doesn't have it. It picks up only the 3G signal, so it displays the 3G symbol instead.

Well, W880i is my brother's phone. If it be compared with K660i (which is mine), I do prefer K660i. K660i has 3,5G, and it has a Media menu for browsing images and playing musics and video. Deciding whether to go for K660i or K810i which is what you are looking at, I would suggest thinking about this differently. If you are not specifically after a camera centric mobile device or one with on-board satellite navigation then the K660i is the best choice in SE's range. It is a device that rivals the functionality and connectivity of some very expensive windows smartphones. If you want a camera in your device, then the K810i is a good choice but I would suggest its predecessor, the outstanding K800i, as being ideal. It has the same internal technology and a better battery life apparently. One final thing worth noting is that as the music function is pretty identical across SE's range it would be better to invest in any hardware the device might have as it will already have the music Walkman interface. So if you can pay, for instance, the same for the C902i as the W890i, get the C902i as you will end up with a 5mp camera module and still get the music interface.

After I reach using for 2GB, it slowing down (but no pay more) until next month. By the way with slow connection I can download at variable speed 20kbps-30kbps, i think its enough... just to second the motion for warung. :) @anna if the choice is between this and that w660i, I'd choose this. why? coz they're both walkman phones, only difference is this one is better, newer and looks better, also, it doesn't have the walkman logo, but it comes with walkman 3.0 with megabass. duhh? :D Bigger screen too, not to mention the superb media center. @JT well.. to tell you the truth, just because it's 3MP doesn't mean it produces better pictures. :) but anyway, again if you prefer pictures then maybe it's worth the try. @JT well, depends on what you value more; connectivity or pictures. K810 is a super good phone for taking pictures, since it's a Cybershot phone. If I'm not mistaken, K810 has 3g too, so at least browsing is a little faster compared to GPRS. But, K660i is faster, since it has HSDPA. But lemme tell you that the camera and picture quality is mediocre, so you might find it a bit disappointing if you're changing from a Cybershot phone like K810i. But, K660i has Walkman 3.0 with Megabass and A2DP (wireless music), so in a way, it's a Walkman phone without the Walkman logo (and the orange color). SO, it all comes down to what you prefer more again; browsing and music or photos? I own a K660i so I can tell you it's a super good phone. I was a K800i user before, and I can't say I don't miss the 3MP camera with flash and autofocus, but it's the downside; since I chose a phone with broadband-like speed and superb media center. I'm not complaining. I don't care very much about pictures anyway.

The G502 will those who just require a very good device that offers HSDPA speed web browsing very affordably. The K660i had a youth market in mind when it was designed, hence the more advanced music player interface. It also offers video calling through its secondary camera. However, and perhaps unexpectedly for SE, this excellent device is such an good all-rounder that it is appealing to users beyond the youth market. If you consider the technology inside the K660i, it can easily be a viable alternative to Blackberry for on the move emailing and to HTC for instance for browsing. At the price the K660i is currently available it is an absolute bargain. Strongly recommended.

choose k660. z555 is nice, but it lacks much. z555 has no video recording, while k660 has it @QVGA 15fps. z555 only gives gesture control for rejecting a call or snoozing alarm. k660 is HSDPA, but z555 still on EDGE. don't u think k660 has a nice looks too?

I've had this phone since Sept24 2008. So far so good. I like it very much. What I like about it: - nice design. elegant. - build. solid. candybar. - buttons. although it might look uncomfortable and all but it's actually easy to use. nice response. typing is a breeze. - nice font. not big, not too small either. - have the option to save messages in memory card. - Media player. PSP-style. landscape and portrait okay. - rewind and forward feature for videos and music - HSDPA. Fast browsing. Tried using Yahoo GO 3.0. Amazing. - default flash themes. What I don't like about it: - camera. mediocre. no flash. - sometimes slow interface. but not too slow. it's just a little slow compared to other SEs

don't to mind about viruses. as long we keep our phone when we connected with the outsider, we can stay away from the viruses. i don't like symbian (except the latest one e.g N78) because it has too much loading. therefore, the entire picture are showed in 1 gallery. the file manager aren't so friendly to use. the SE's file manager is friendly to me. Most of latest SE's phone has some crashes with its Media. K660 is the one too. The another apps (e.g messaging, exploring menu, java, etc) will be run slowly and freeze frequntly if media running in the background. @ chloey U can install dictionary app as long the app is a Java application

Initially the phone hangs turn itself off and then on. But, after using the phone for a month and everything is running smoothly, all the initial bugs seems to be missing. It work fine and no hung ups. Good job SE. SE should further improve the firmware of this phone.

JJ... The answer to your question is this: The k770i is better when you're talking about hardware, having a better camera along with a light sensor. The k660i is much better when you're talking software; unlimited texts, faster (slightly) response, larger screen, way way way nicer media/music player user interface. Even the buttons on the k660i are easier to press! However the k660i is a finger print magnet and you get lots of oil on it :P When it comes down to it, it's basically two issues: a better camera? Or better software? It's a personal preference really.

It just improves the performance n reduces bugs. the latest SE's phones have many bugs too. it's just a software update, not a hardware update. anyway, u said that k610 is the fastest. i've tried it that that was terrible. an animated wallpaper couldn't run smoothly, n the system responds slowly. i can't get it...

yup... it's li'l slow, somehow. putting ur files in ur M2 is a solution to avoid self-restart. and my phone almost never restart by itself or hang up for a bit. but sometimes i restart this phone cz sometimes the activity menu won't show itself out. that's the most important button for me. yes... yes... its screen so smooth and get no negative effect if u see it from any angle...

K660 doesn't present with joystick. It's just a standard D-Pad with OK button. The latest SE phones no longer use joystick @ Possy Yes... This phone has that such troubles. Restart by itself (I'm using 2GB M2, and I clear the files inside internal memory except its original files. It restarts rarely). Slow to respond (especially when media is running in the background). Sometimes hang up for a few sec. But overall performance is good. Looking forward an update soon...

Yes, A200 software needs more perfection. And I hope it'll appear in the next software update for each of their A200 phones. A200 has many advantages than A100, such as Media menu, QVGA Video record, Location Services, plenty of animated menu. I don't use Indonesian. My post will be deleted.

I do know that this phone has many troubles inside, cz I own it. I still love SE. I hope they won't splitted up. I prefer K660 than 5220, cz the Nokia's S40 phones' UI are bad. It doesn't have any animated menu as SE has. The GPRS' setting are not friendly. If I love Nokia, I love only their S60 phones. Or S60 phones with another brands, such as Samsung i450. Just look forward of it. If SE really wanna end their partnership, it'll be good to not buy their phones. Many of their great phones are waiting to appear in the market. X1, C905, G705, W902, etc. The latest SE phones, most of them, have troubles in the software, and in several region, they aren't releasing the latest s/w. The advantages, perhaps GSMArena has described it. The disadvantages, for me, this phone often freezes by itself and restart by itself too. Poor image result at night (night mode somehow helps U). The system works slowly, especially when the media is running in the background. But I Love this phone, the display is gorgeous, browsing internet well, etc.

This is a really great Phone! i've tested it and it has a lot of functions and has a great design. The software is very good, but the sound could've been better. The camera is a real quality 2MP, and the screen is really great! What a hack of this phone ! This phone is not good as i imagine. I just buy this phone a few weeks ago. What i'm angry is one day when i turn on my phone, all my data (Pictures, musics and videos) in Memory stick is all MISSING! And sometimes, when I am using it, it stops responding for a few seconds. It driving me Nuts! I hope SE release the latest s/w for K660i. I haven been using this fone for nearly 4 months now and i am starting to have some problems. The battery drains out sooo fast (even when its fully charged, drains in a day) and the screen balcks out and it freezes, therefore I have to take the battery out and restart it. Hi, i am currently using k800i and im looking for an upgrade. The thing is k800i has 3G but no edge, and in my area only EDGE signals are strong. So i have to make do with either a k660i, nokia e51 or im also considering samsung i450 since it has a bigger screen. My main query is which of these phones will prove to be a real workhorse for me. does ur pc suite work well in ur computer? my pc suite can't work in my comp. i have v3.1 (from the box) and v3.2 (downloaded from SE's site), and both can't work. i've installed .net framework v2, adequate disk space, and 949 MHz on an AMD athlon XP Based proc w/ winXP Prof. it couldn't give any respond when i execute the app. i've tried at pentium m w/ 1,8 GHz, and it didn't give any respone either. does somebody can solve my problem? i can't surf internet via HSDPA...

K660 rocks .... it's cheap, small, handy and easy to run any J2ME application (java mobile edition). PC suite for Sony Ericsson really good, simple, easy to use and it doesn't eat pc memory like pc suite for nokia. What the most i like about K660 is their mailbox, we can use POP and SMTP. Nice works.

M2 is MemoryStick Micro. It's a standard SE's memory slot. I don't know exactly how to update the software. But U can try it at Menu > Settings > In General Tab, select Update Service, then select Search for Update. Well, I need the latest s/w... In order to improve the performance. SE! 4 GB is the max. We can upgrade the software via the update service. But I haven't get the latest s/w for my k660i. The bugs in my phone sometimes are annoying me. Sometimes the activity menu couldn't be opened after use the java apps. But the overall performance is good for me. Never hung. I don't know how if I upgrade the M2. I hope everything will work well

k660's built-in browser is nice too. u can compare it with 6120c. don't think if the phone which has an OS inside is the best. I've heard that 6120c's browser has a limited security level. well... i don't understand about that.

But purely internet wise nokia 6120 classic is good. It has the symbian s60 browser the same as the apple iphone has (safari) but whichever phone u buy, there is the operamini, which u can download at mini.opera.com. I got this phone 3 months back. It really sucks. Camera is worst. Sound is not that much good and not loud as well. The Internet speed while connecting to PC is the worst speed given by any mobile. They have cheated that it is mainly for web. When compared to Nokia it really sucks in internet speed. I think the EDGE class is very lower. But 3G could'nt be tested as India does not have 3G technology yet. So new cell phone buyers dont even try to think about buying this phone if u talk about internet. Sony ericsson brand name will go down if they release phones like this.

It would be better if this has superb cam quality. It would be then perfect for teens who want nice cam, easy browsing, mega bass feature plus its elegant design. Hope SE will improve on cam performance cause when gsmarena had review on my current phone w810i, gsmarena evaluated it as a good cam phone but when i just bought it, i found out that it is not impressive specially for indoor shots.

Yes, u r right. No photo light, and neither autofocus come to this phone. The K660's cam performance is good w/ cyber-shot 2.0 interface. K660 produces a quite nice pic quality. U can enjoy the pic in the bright day. But at night, the pic comes with so many noises. U may need night mode in this condition, but when U try to take a pic, Ur hand must stable in order to avoid blurry pic quality. PhotoFix may help U to improve the pic's brightness and contrast.

Well k630 has identical features but i will tell u the difference. K660 has resolution of 240*320 where k630 has 176*220 pixels resolution. Yes ur contention is correct. S-60 Symbian phones like Nokia6120 classic hang often and are prone to virus. Moreover 6120 has a low battery backup and its music reproduction and camera pitcure quality is poor as compared to K660i. I dropped the idea of purchasing an Ipod- nano 4GB after testing it over my Creative SBS 2.1 home theatre system, to my astonishment, i found the quality reproduced by k660i far better than ipod. However i admitt that Nokia 6120 is equipped with ARM11 processor with 64 MB of RAM, with OSS browser which imparts it a stunning web browsing experience. It is to our choice to decide which way to go? I reveal however that for everyday normal multemedia application k660i is the best choice,as compared to Nokia6120 and 6121.

Hi, u misunderstood, iam actually a smart phone phone user, so i dont like limit in user interface,just like SE & nokia series 40 phones have. I went & bought k660i because it was advertised as a internet phone. I had a pleasant experience in k610i as its internet was very good , so i had expectations.... If u dont know what is series 40 then i would like to enlighten u that it is nokia future phone software.... E61i is not a series 40 phone, it is a series 60 phone.....

Yes u are correct,but i please recall that k660i is the first sony Ericsson K series mobile which has Media player3.0 along with Media manager newly developed for high end mobiles as K850i,W910i.The music reproduction and reception of this model is above average.The browser is a bit slow as compared to W610i and W580i but they both lack 3G and HSPDA,video calling,Rss reader tricker.Nokia E61 is a great choice but it lacks quality in multemedia content when compared with K660i for sure.I am using this mobile in very noisy environment but have never faced any problem in communication.

I used SE k660i for 1 month, before i went and bought nokia e61i, the phone is good for the budget concious peope with all round features at an economical price. The camera is good too, but needs good brightness. The web browser is average, i say that because i once used the k610i , it had a supurb web browser. The most dissatisfying aspect of all SE phones however, is the caller on the other end cannot hear you properly from an noisy environment, it was the same with k660i and with k610i ...... the signal of your broadband is very importan thing rather than gprs,edge,3g,3.5g. mey be in your place have gprs signal only (no faster when you can working in gprs signal only). in my place 3G's signal is usefull ... k660 is very fast with 3G's signal. k660 born with new platform A200 ( Like k850). good luck.

When i heard about this cell i was totally excited for having a web based cell, the best features that the company claims about i.e. Having high speed internet access and good downloading experience is all B.S. The cell is a disaster it stucks while browsing. The net browser is way too slow and is unable to open all websites and give a good view. Also it fails to download files. The mobile restarts if we resume in media player. I committed a mistake by buying such cell save yourself.

Dear this phone does not have a password protection for messages but the messages can be stored over memory card thus saving your phone memory drastically.Currently i have come across 'SMART GUARD'a software developed for Sumbian s-60 phones, over Vodafone network but they are still in a process to develop the same software for Java based phones like K660i. to Firefox, I'm not sure what you are saying is true to all the other K660i because my themes (which is stored on my memory card) seems to appear when the phone has restarted. It doesn't go back to the default theme.

Hi to answer some of the questions: - you have to have the headphone inserted to listen to radio - when dialling, the numbers does appear big - voice dialling is present however i tried to use it and still don't know how to work it - for continuous listening to music (via headphone) its no problem. I always use it as MP3 player in trains etc. The headphone however does not seem to be the best one out there. it might just be me, but the shape of the earpiece doesn't seem to fit into my ears. You've got a choice of stereo widening and normal base and then mega base.

I bought this phone in a hurry because I was attracted to its looks and price (only about USD 200) but then I actually used it and discovered it was pretty plain.. i'm on vacation so I only have a pre-paid phone card, so i haven't really used the internet feature, but there is no world clock, converter, any tools of that kind.. just a camera.. internal memory is quite OK for a few pics and ringtones too..

i wouldn't say that this fone is so easy to scratch, but i had this fone for a month and have dropped (just a couple of times) and found little scratches on the back cover. So i bought a crystal case cover which protects my fone perfectly! Recommend having a cover so that your phone will look new for a long time!

Hi, to answer some of these questions. * yes, it can play real video files * it does have the black skin for the media player, i never had a walkman fone before so I dunno but it does have both greyish skin and black skin for media player * it does come with the headphone but just a normal black ones (which also has a microfone to use it when speaking) * sorry, but i don't know how many channels does this have. * i personally quite find it easy to text, but I think it will all depends on people, and what kind of keypads they are used to. however I think it might be awkward for people who has big/wide fingers because the keypad is small comparing to others around (like nokia ones). Hi, I recently got my k660i in white and lime colour, and i must say its one the most attractive fone I've seen! so simple and clean but kinda cute. I was worried whether the green is 'too' green but it matches with the white and pleasant. I am so far very happy with the performance, the music sounds great and the internet is so easy to use. videocalls etc no probs. Keypad does not take long to get used to, but if you have big fingers, it might be bit difficult to press on. Got it on virgin au plan. definitely recommend this fone.

N72/3: 352 x 288 (CIF) at 15 fps mpeg4 vs K660i: 320 x 240 (QVGA) at 15 fps mpeg4 As for can it expand, erh....... can explain wad u mean? Expand as in maximise whole computer screen or enlong the play time, or Zoom in while playin or recordin. Pls explain tis part of the question again clearly...

@aditya The format is mpeg4 320 x 240, which thank god for that, SE decided that 3gp is just not qaulity-wise. But the only disadvantage is this mpeg4 format recorded is SEPECIAL.... it can't be open thru windows media player but oni thru quick time. But fear not, coz the CD that comes along with it has quick time thus save u the trouble of downloadin or buyin quick time player software.

The player is able to play nt oni wma but acc+ acc mp3 rm midi etc. (havent come across any format it can't play) As for S@nd's question, as long as ur phone is gprs enabled, u WILL be able to view youtube. However I seriously recommend u switch on ur 3g networkin if u really want a smooth downloadin n viewin exp. coz the difference is ...... amazing. Anymore questions?....=)

I can't deny k800 n k810 will hav a better camera quality. But the video quality they hav is sub-standard (QCIF/3gp) whereas k660i hava QVGA at 15 fps /mpeg4. Now do ur maths again lah. This is a all rounder phone not a cyber-shot even though it has the K prefixed.

This phones camera quality versus the k800 is of no comparison , if i had a choice between the k660 or the k800 i would definitely get the k800. but only based on the camera. but then again other than the camera quality its really a similar phone , just consider whether or not you want a better camera . If its for the aesthetics of the phone then i would choose the k660 cause its a lot lighter and significantly smaller too

i had this phone for quite some time now(few months only), and its great, i love the wine on black color because it makes it look more expensive and stylish. And i love it cause it's scratch resistant, very nice. The only thing I hate was the battery life, if sony ericsson's going to make a web-based phone, they're going to need to use a battery that has a good battery life...

@hurtle turtle hi not a big deal just set your disply bright ness when you use your phone you will get good batter. and even if you use net 10 hours a day batter will last you at least 5 hours on 2.5 gsm network i used all my phones for net and never faced batter problem and use usb its better as your phone will charge if battery is low. and usb is faster than bluetooth. but when you are out use bluetooth it good. i even used infrared but these phoes dont have it now.

@Cube_08 hi even i use my phone for web browsing i used k800 and z550 they used to restart as they did not have capasity to open big web pages. this phone is specially used for surfing and has good web browser than w300i you can go for it. i even used w300i and i was satified but its web browser was not so good. i am sure this phone has better camera its 2 mp you can print photos i used z550 to print. it depends how you remove photos if you remove photos in day time it will give you good pictures if in night you must have good light. any phone without xeon flsh will not give you good pictures at night.

i just bought my K660 and its amazing... i can go online anytime just simply connect it to my laptop as modem, the uploading and downloading speed is faster than my previous N70 which is of course a thing from the past. Try this phone, if you are really that type that goes online anytime anywhere, better than wifi i guess and dont have to pay for expensive coffee in the coffee shop.

off course you can't compare this phone with e51... e51 is a symbian phone and has a wifi... k660i is an ordinary phone for young people that love to browse... not to serious like e51... but this phone has better multimedia than e51 for me...

After reading the review of gsm arena , i went and bought this phone. But the internet is not half as good as in the nokia e51 which i used before it.even opera mini fails frequently . . File uploading is only 4kb per second but it wap 10 in e51. .

Hi, i am currently using a w300i. i plan of getting a new one to replace my w300i. i am a use my phone to online regularly and sms regularly too. so i would like to noe if tis phone is good for web browsing as said so and the keypad is it nice for texting. plus, will tis phone be durable or lasting if its regularly used for surfing the net? cause my w300i screen always turn white and this start to happen after i been using the phone to surf the net for the past 3months. btw, is the camera good enough to produce decent pictures? thanks for all the feedback.

i have this phone for three weeks... i think this phone is very good... great feature with great price... this phone has decent camera quality,good enought music player(same as walkman 3.0 player),very good web browser,fast user interface(hey this is the new A200 interface) and off course great design!!!! For man bellow me , if you want better camera , off course you should go for K810i but if you want better phone for web browsing with new user interface and better design then u go with K660i...

I really like this phone, but then I have always loved sony ericsson phones. Its very funky and stylish and has a nice bright screen. Its not crammed with lots of stuf such as wifi, camera flash or windows software but its very compact for a 3g phone. My only concern is the anolog area as it is very small to use, but Im getting used to it now. over all cool phone and cheap too (:

I had it for a month and i just realized today that the bottom left soft key under the call button has been broken already, it doesn't work anymore, and the battery life is horrible, can't even last more then 2 days. It's a great phone, worth every penny i paid for it, it is definitely a keeper. Guys i have a question pertaining to the Charging circuitry of SE mobile phones in general.Im a student and i rely heavily on internet for my research work. For that reason my cellphone is "always connected for charging" and at the same time connected to my laptop via bluetooth for gprs. I have heard through friends that "Charging IC" of SE phones wears off, if u put it on charging for a considerable period of time. Is it true? my 2nd question is, if one has to access internet, what is the best way to connect the phone to the laptop, via usb or bluetooth? thanks

Hi dennis ong i live near bangi selangor. I saw the lime white k660 in warta bangi selling at rm760- same as k770 price. Current owned a nokia 6288 for the last one year. I also had w850- used by my wife. After having both phone that nearly identical specs i am now prefered the SE phone. My 6288 lcd light source has malfxn and at any time of total failure i will definitely buy k660 or k770.

oh man ... another s/e phone with the same class firmwares ... i dont know what s/e is expecting from this same style stuff ... people are very badly unsatisfied cuz of this ... s/e should see that they are loosing so many fans in 2008 ... they should do something to fix this problem ... add some new user friendly features to ur firmware maybe ... look at the lg stuff for 2008 even they have improved a lot ... just take a look at something like the lg kf 510 so that u will understand ... or else take a look at the last best phone s.e. released the s.e. w960 ... i've bought this phone last week and i am satisfeid with this phone bec. it has all the features of a phone! really cool! it supports 4GB memorystick and it has free 256MB card included inside! and the internalmemory is 32MB... and has a video call and Track ID Music Recognition...Really cool phone! and the design is cool to bec. it looks like a Ipod and the color of this phone is NOT irritating to the eyes!

One thing i know about sonyericsson phones is that theyre reliable than nokia phones in terms of speed, battery, sound quality and design... i dont believe there is any comparison its worth buying SE i have 2 sony ericsson sets one is almost 5 years old and the battery is still working surprisingly good compared to its age and the other is more than a year old (w710i) working perfectly now am interested in k660 and w580 mostly coz am interested in a bigger screen
