The worst phone i ever had. As people are saying, extremely bad battery. 3x serviced, in the end, the motherboard had to be replaced. After that one button stopped to function in next couple of months. User interface unintuitive and really slow. I won't buy a new battery cause it is impossible to find in stores. I will buy a new phone instead. This is a bad bad bad bad phone.

Hi All, This a customer writting from Dhaka, Bangladesh. Really facing a very bad experiance after using this LG P7200. Battery quality is really poor. Even I can't use 4/5 hours in a day/night after full charging the battery.

You can transfer java files to your LG P7200 by doing some little trick in "LG Contents Bank" config file. Open your "config.ini" under in your installed folder of "LGContentsBank". Change "EXIST_JAVA=N" become "EXIST_JAVA=Y" , if necessary try with model name also : "MODEL_NAME=P7200" and "VERSION=P7200-v.3.6(3.6.3.10.28-EN)". And now you should be able to transfer your java file to your LG P7200. However, to Install any java applications/games you will need "JADMaker" to make jad file in companion to jar file itself. And you need to add this: "MIDletX-LG-Contents: P7200", without quote, to any jad file you make or that already present. Well, I hope it can entertain the person that feeling suck to have such this phone, just like me. LOL

Buy an extra battery telling Li-Ion 800 mAh for LG P7200. Its easy to get. But Better way may be buying a mobile charger. It can last longer than an extra and U dun needto change. Regards.

I bought this phone in 2006, the phone was very cool, nice to rotate and take out pictures with.Then the battery life started running down very quick the music was very low and omg all the dam paint came off the phone front all I tell you. Every 3 months I need to pay someone to spary paint the phone.

These handset is crab except the poor battery life, the audio is also poor meaning the microphone and speaker on these handset is the worst of all phones ever manufactured. When expanding the memory of these phone it turns to b e very slow responding to applications and sometimes freezes when making and receiving calls meaning you would press the answer button and it wouldn't respond.Basically these phone does not worth buying.

I had this phone for about 2 days i really wanted it because of the camera and how good it looked the design key pad etc... but it was awful >_< very very slow, the video didnt record sound it time with the actual video, hard to text it was sooo annoying it did look great the screen was amazing! the camera was very good aswell its such a shame i wish Lg would remake a phone looking almost exactly like this but put more time into it then i would def buy it!! lol

I Need heLPPPPPPP..............!!! i have this phone and just love it!! but i came across a serious problem when i entered the code 2945#*# and tried to change a few settings of it.... by mistake I chose an option oF RESET which left all of my Messages in the Inbox to be dEleted>>> Believe me, those messages were very important and were Kept as an evidence to show someone over some dispute held in my family.. This phone sucks! There is a reason why it is not available in the US! It only looks nice from the outside. The front scratches sooooo easily, that the black paint comes off, and all you are left with is a metallic piece of SH1T front. Yes, you cannot go online with this, you cannot set up your browser, I live in Chicago, and I barely get reception. To top it all off, while it drizzled outside I was talking, next thing you know, the phone turned off, and it appears that 1 drop of water got into the battery, and now the battery is F*#%ed. Good luck looking for a new one. I forgot to mention that dont even bother with a car charger, because it turns off also when plugged into your cars cig lighter. There is a reason why it is not in the US, it is not compatible with our system yet. Luckily it was only a $175 lesson well learned!!!

I love this phone but I use it w/my Cingular service and they do not know how to either setup my internet/browser or how to make my phone able to send txt messages. I can received texts but no one ever receives them when I reply. Also, how do I make it automatically download my videos to/from the phone when I hook it up to the computer. When I connect the usb cable, it only automatically downloads my pictures only, or atleast I think. E-mail me if anyone can help, Cingular is just clueless about the phone.

Well i am must...this phone is real crappy...indeed hands off to LG for making THE best TVs(I actually own an LG TV and it's really cool, touchsystem etc)...dont know much about washingmachines but...PLEASE...leave the mobile making to the big boys like NOKIA, SE, etc! I just lost my P7200!! Love the camera system on this phone. Not the phone software and the keys! A real pain to press!! Small and light, Audio(MP3, AAC etc..) sounds good! And the camera is great for taking clandestine shots! Will LG be coming out with a replacement for this??

I had this and some day ago it is stolen. And i thank to god i lost it. It is a suck mobile phone. Nothing works properly it in. It looks good but it's too slow in this fast world. In cell while taking the picture you zoom in. but after taking the picture when your go review the picture you can not zoom the picture. It's really not good. Then what's meaning fo zoon of 4x. This phone really sucks! Please people, don't go and buy a LG mobile phone ever! Go and buy a microwave, air-conditioning or washing mashine, but you never ever buy a phone! I bought it before a 4 months and the first impression was so high, I was in love with this phone, and get it and I regret it! The camera features are too much, but not safisfying, pictures are not the best with standard 2MP camera, too slow for taking pictures, the sound is worst, too low, software is low, and many other things,....first it looks great, look nice and that's a biggest cheating! I hate LG for that. After the second month, the paint from the front panel begun to peel off and that's really pissed me off! I sell mobile phones from 3 years and never ever seen any junk like this. I want my money back LG you muthafuckas!

This is the worst mobile phone I have ever had. It freezes, it goes off on its own accord. The camera is slow, it scratches easily. I dropped it down the loo by accident the other week and I wasn't even bothered, my contract doesn't run out until Feb next year so I went and bought a cheap phone for now which is still well better. I bought this phone about 3 months ago. Here are my comments after used: Thumbs up design.. cool.. stylish.. the front cover are made some kind of low quality painting, there was once I put it in my pocket and the black color painting already scratched off easily by my coins. Not recommended for heavy sms users, it will drive you nutzzz.. coz.. the keypad are hard to press and sms screen is loading pretty slow. SMS dictionary function is not as good as others, LG doesn�t has word-replacing function. Example: you want the word �PORRY�, you press, 7,6,7,7,9. It will shown SORRY & POPPY. Hence, you need to add the WORD to dictionary, after you done and back to the screen you will see �SORRYPORRY�, from there you need to delete the whole thing and redo again. It can support 1GB memory. Great! I frequently encountered �PLEASE WAIT� then the phone will stuck for 2 mins and restart automatically. Note: LG phone needs perform 1 � 2 mins for phone functions loading. Total = 5 mins waiting for memory stuck case. I REALLY encountered very often. Average about once a day. SMS Ringtones = Default 4 choices only. BEAR with it! Bluetooth functions are horrible, you ONLY allowed to send files to others if the file is in INTERNAL memory. Meaning, if you need to send a 3MB mp3 song to someone, you need to wait for 1 �2 mins transfer to internal memory then only take another 3 mins for bluetooth transfer. ZzZZZ.. SMS Storage is 150 messages. No folder can be created. All in Inbox. The thing I dislike most is every time I delete a message it will goes back to message #1. Example: If I delete message #34 & #35, then I need to press 33 times down button to the message and delete and it will back to msg #1, hence, I need to press another 33 times down button for a msg deletion. ZzzzzzzZZZZ Camera, 2MP, Fantastic! Self-take. COOL! Auto-focus function, Great! But dun expect to get any good photos during night time although you have torch / flash feature. 100% guarantee NO! Battery = At least charging 3 hours per day and will not last more than 1 day. Overall, I regret I bought this phone. : (

I've just bought the phone, No doubt the phone appears to work slow, but the PC connectivity is better than other cell phones. Messaging is difficult esp. if one has been used to Nokia phones, where messaging is at its best. The camera appears to work rather slow and in the Digital Camera mode the phone usually responds late to button presses. The design is good and if compared to Razor, the Swivel Screen gives the edge, but as far as battery life is concerned, i feel that when one spends money in buying a good cell phone, battery ,life must always be considered, as this phone doesnt survive more than two days without a battery. So it LG markets the phone saying a 200 hr Batt life, they better prove it. I guess i'll drag a month with this phone and buy a Samsung Set instead.

It is a pathetic phone. No doubt it had a bad battery and i still went for it, its camera is not as good as a 2 mega pix should be. GPRS connectivity is (mobile office) is giving me problem at the moment. It does not support some of the latest web interfaces like yahoo mail or rediff mail. Slow in opening application and bluetooth headset devices with LG is horrible. Please avoid buying LG products for mobile phones.

Definitely not as good as I thought it would be. The camera lags and is not as clear as a 2 megapixel camera should be. The software cd is basically worthless as far as I can tell. The handsfree microphone has a weird design. If you connect your own headphones (which you probably will since the original has no bass) then you have about 3 feet of cords and the microphone is on the adapter/ remote thing that connects to your headphones which makes things very inconvenient. The phones seems great at first but is actually not that great at all. I have been trying to find out more about this dam phone on forums but no one really responds so here it is. There is no manual on the n. america lg website. However, since i read they have the phone in europe i looked it up. Go to the UK link from the global lg site then look for the p7200 and you should see the detailed MANUAL.

Overall is good to use, but the battery life is obviously short and take a very slow time to retrive photo or even sms. Is quite frastrated when using this two features.

Features are great, but baddly coded. The design looks great, but its chipping away. Perfomance. Well takes arround a minute to take a picture from when you told it to. So overall, the phone SHOULD be good, but infact is is crap. I have contacted for refund, or new front. They couldent do anything. If you go to lg website, theirs no software or anything to download. I beleave they have discontinued the product for support ext.

i've bought this cell 2 months ago and now i've found its not useful for the mobile lovers.The Battery is very low and the system is very poor and the things about this cell i called it the worst one ever made.I think instead of using this cell its better to use Nokia 3315 or 3310 even if its not vast.That is the cell not this one.

I've had the phone now for about 4 months. The looks of it is beautiful, but the phone it self is not that good. The phone is really slow when you write messages, and look through photos. It uses much battery on taking photos, talking listening to music. If you have just taken a photo,talked or listened to music the phone often shows low battery, but if you wait for a minute or two, it shows more. When I talk with other people on the phone, they almost every time hears a loud tone when we are talking, I don't hear it but they do. So it is almost impossible for them to hear what I am saying at times. I wish I had chosen another phone.

I have had this phone for over 6 months and it is rubbish. I am constantly charging it, the front cover is chipping away. If I don't check it regularly it has usually just gone off for no reason, the camera is rubbish you got to press a load of buttons before you can take a picture to set it all up. Don't buy it, I can't wait for my contract to be up and I will never by an LG phone again

Battery life is very bad and also functions in phone book. It will not accept business card from other handsets like Nokia etc. GUI is not so cool as in sony or in Samsung.

I bought this phome 3 months back and this is the scenario so far. Battery = good Exterior = paint starting to come off Interior = still good though metal key pad has lost elements around the envelope on navigation key Call quality = generally good, no problems Phone operation = The top right button, usually for the 'back' function rarely works, so can read messages or open menus but have to close phone to go back, and start again. Photo quality is ok, though dissappointed with the zoom function, lets be honest, it does not zoom so much as magnify the image, resulting in terrible loss of quality. Have not tested the MP3 as i am having problems connecting the phone to the laptop. overall, looks good, but after 3 months... works like a chocolate teapot.

My LG phone is freezing! did that happen to you before? It usually freeze when I try to call someone...and the name of that number doesn't show. It then, takes forever to call...and when i lose my patience and click the red "hang up" button, it doesn't response. I have to restart my phone again and switch it on again. Sometimes, out of the blue, i just can't get phone calls either! the phone works fine...it's just people claim that they have called me a few times but my phone didnt ring at all!

My network is a little bit messed up.. that's a huge disappointment since I use my phone a lot during the night and my phone's not working inside my house! I have a 512 mb mini sd! it's working alright for now! One desperate question I have is..how can I set my camera to auto save into my mini sd instead of the phone? Ok i've got this phone, features are awesome and it looks really good and everybody comments...except the paint on the front screen comes off so easy! I can basically rub it off with my finger!!! The battery life is not the best but a lot of th eproblem lies in the way their software reads the battery life. Mine turned it's self off saying the battery was dead but twenty minutes later I turned it back on and it reported half a battery.

this phone is not multitasking, so u can't reply sms while playing the music. Overall, i really like this phone, it has good sound and can play itunes, because it's better quality than mp3, the bad thing is, the battery doesn't last long, so u might have to charge it everyday, max only 2 days.

picture viewing takes a second or two. As to file size it has 64MB of memory on the phone and you'll rarely see a photo over 1MB and thats seriously high quality taken with a digital camera.

The video camera only records in 3GP and is really just designed for videos to be sent via MMS although there is no time limit. If you try to play the video with just the phone flipped open it displays a message saying you need to rotate the screen to view it properly. Because it only uses 3GP the video can become blocky when with movement. In the end a camera phone is designed for those moments you just have to capture and not for taking high quality photos/videos although they are getting better.

I have found the ringer on this to be very loud if you turn the volume up. As to your comment about it only ringing once I suggest you actually look at the settings. In the message tones one of the options is to ring periodically where it will ring every few minutes to remind you about unread messages.

The vibration not really effective sometime u cant even felt that u phone was ring when u r in public place.No call or sms alert when u miss the first time unless u keep checking yr phone by open the clam shell.Not like samsung the phone will keep blinking if there is a missed call or sms. The Siemens SF65 whilst a good phone had lousy screen quality and the ringtones where almsot impossible to hear when the phone was in your pocket. The SF65 was quickly released as a Pay and Go phone and the price dropped to �60. Whilst the concept of the SF65 was good the implementation was not. Yes this phone is based on the SF65 but then the SF65 was not the first phone to feature a twist screen. Where the inspiration for a phones design came from has no baring on the quality of the phone nor on it's features.

Wow I am really impressed with this phone. I got it when I was in Hong Kong and I have to say it is one of the best phones I have ever had. The only downsides are terrible battery life and it takes awile to get used to texting on the keypad. Both screns on the phone are really nice and bright and quite visible in sunlight. This surprised me because I didn't think they would look that good because they don't have the 240 by 320 resolution. Overall the P7200 is a very good phone with an unique design. Although some parts of the phone are clearly razr inspired the phone is different and has plenty of features.

i just got it yesterday and it looks beautiful...toooo easy to use,i could not believe i just had to open "my computer"to see what i wish to transfer by/to the phone without running it's ptogram every time!the camera/videocamera looks great,even though i face some technical difficulties in pushing that tiny buttom to get the photo ;D the best mobile i ever had and it looks f*kkin'beautiful! a negative aspect is that u can't use the alarm clock when switching the volume off ;//,and u can't use mp3's on sms alerting...other things work perfectly good and are easy enough to understand...

MW - The phone does not support sub folders nor playlists. All the music has to be in the same folder. One of my gripes about this phone. A Sad Man - You cannot as this is a security feature to prevent people just putting things on your phone without your knowledge.

1 GB micro sd cards work in the phone got some music on my phone any one worked out how to get albums in sub folders for ease play back with out having to scroll down the list for half a mile to find the song you want tryed making sub folders on the P.C and then putting songs in the folders then puting the album folders on the micro S.D card in the music folder but the music does not come up as if the phone can not find the album files in the S.D card any ideas are helpful on my quest. cheers

the lg p7200 shouldn't even be compared to the n90. there is a never ending list of what the n90 can do that the lg cannot. thanks to the n90's symbian technology, it is possible to put applications and games on the phone without the use of GPRS. it's video recording is dvd quality, making it one of the best recording phones out there (not to mention it's 'Carl Veiss' lense, what you see only on top quality sony digital camrecorders). it's got 3D gaming. it has got expandable memory up to 1 gig (the lg only has up to 512mb). it is only 1.4cm taller than the lg. it actually has flash (the lg just has a light that stays on and doesn't flash). it has got not only a screen what twists, but a camera too. don't get it twisted, i know about my phones!!!!

The Nokia n90 fails in comparison to the LG p7200 because it is much bigger than the p7200, doesn't even have vibration, just looks ugly and it's screen can only rotate 90 degrees but the p7200's screen can rotate 180 degrees. Wow! Just got this phone yesterday. The camera rocks! 2mp 1600 x 1200!! But the image is sort of on the soft and noisy side. My advice to this is to sharpen the image with software such as Irfanview then clear up the noise with Neat Image. Both are free software you can download off the net. Nice decent MP3 player too. Convert them to ACC+ v2 format to save space and maintain sound quality of your songs. 2 questions here; 1.) What are the exact video format support? What is the resolution too? 2.) Many have tried 512mb memory card on this baby. Anyone get a 1Gb MiniSD running in it?

The Nokia N90 is ugly and huge. It also uses the Symbian operating system which means it can get infected with a virus under certain circumstances. As to razorsharps intelligent comment (the three after his are just childish) the lag can sometimes be upto a second. It's a memory issue in my opinion due to sloppy coding but I cannot find out if there have been any updates.

Some answers to FAQs: YES it can take a 512 meg micro SD card, not sure about 1 gig. slow UI is only in messaging and using the camera, menu works fine. If u find the cameras save time too slow a tip is to turn on auto save so that it saves without asking the question, saves quite a bit of time and you can just delete it later. How do you install java applications though, noone has answered that yet, i hope its not only via GPRS

I've just bought this phone and I'm pretty impressed so far. One of the things that's bugging me is this: If I connect to it via USB and copy JPGs across into the 'my media\photos' directory. How the hell do I then set them as my wallpaper? Currently the option of setting wallpaper is only applicable to photos taken by the phone's own camera. Also the "foreign" images do not show up in the Multimedia photo album option despite being in the same directory as all the other images. Other than this I think the phone is fantastic.

No you cannot do anything else whilst listening to MP3s You can only view videos with the screen flipped. I have no problems with the keypad but I do with the response times when typing in a message.

If you mean a jpg you have taken with the phone then it has to be the right ize. If you mean uploading it then make the image the corrst size and either upload it using the software that came with the phone or put it in the Images folder.

Request to guys having LG P7200. Did anyone face a problem with Alarm Clock? Manual saying I can set up to 5 alarms. However when I set two alarms: 1- The first alarm for example 6:00 AM and set the repeat to Everyday. 2- The second alarm for example 8:00 AM and set the repeat Everyday again. I noticed that the first alarm will work fine but the second will not work. The next day neither one of them will work. I checked with the maintenance, they uploaded the software again for my phone, however, the problem still. I got a replacement and guess what the same problem. I checked with the LG Agent, they said may be it a software problem or the OS of the phone. I wonder if any one faced the same problem or guest me. Thanks

this phone has good feature but it is really slow, i did not expect that in the first place, u need to push the buttons so hard for the phone to accept.. But my main prob is that the speed dial sucks!!!It freezes when i select the speed dial button, it never works even i go to the number and select the speed dial button for the contact. The battery life is not so good as i used to imagine. i full charged the phone, and use for simple 10 songs and around 10 photos taking, 5 calls (less than 1 minutes) and some short sms. the battery empty. But the main problem i am facing now is the software always hang especially after i took photo using camera and try to access the album from the camera menu, it hang. anyone experience this? Please share some of the problems u guys facing.

I read the forum fully before taking this masterpice. I loved this piece. All the features are great. Battery goes well after a few days of battery cycle it has a decent 5 hours talktime. This Phone can officially support 128mb, but i have one working on a 512MB card. All you have to do is format it using the computer by copying the files from internal memory onto the card (the card has to be in the phone and using the usb cable)

LG can write decent software. Take a look at some of their older phones or the U880 and you will see. For some strange reason the software sucks on this model though. As to Sony I cannot stand their T9 implementation. It doesn't find the word you are typing so stops you typing and pops up a message saying it cannot find it. I find that annoying. LG told me to contact the Carphone Warehouse (a mobile phone shop here in UK) to see if any firmware updates have been issued. Seems strange the company that makes the phone telling me to contact a shop about their products.

Please go and buy a Sony. While technically a superior product, the software is still a lot worse then What I had with my ancient T300. Camera is very hard to use. My mother has a philiphs with a rotating screen but its 10 times easier to use it. There is no short way to turn on and off the flash. There is no email client integrated. Even my 4 year old T300 has a decent email client. The keyboard is not easy to use and forget about playing games with this keyboard. The hardware is fine, it just needs a decent software. Untill LG learns to write good software go an buy a sony.

You cannot zoom if you are using the maximum picture size. You can only zoom on the lower resolutions and you do so by using the volume control button.

1 - To my knowledge it can play mpg files. 2 - battery life is adequate but not brilliant. 3 - Transferring files from the computer is simple as as soon as you plug the phone into the usb socket the computer will detect it as a USB drive and treat it just like it would a USB stick. To use the software that comes with it to upload ringtones, images etc you have to put the phone into modem mode before plugging the USB in.

The Battery gage is very unpredictable. When it is on say two bars, i make a call, after 5 mins it will say that it needs charging. When i hang up the phone, give it a minute and will have one or two bars again. Really annoying. Also i bought a 512MB card for it. it works fine. You have to format the card manually by inserting the phone (with the card) into the computer and copy and paste all the files from the internal memory into the card.

Well that was a pointless post by R. The battery klife on the P720 is well documented as not being that great. The P7200 seems to have problems actually monitoring it's battery state. I have had mine beep at me before now saying the battery was low and then switch it's self off. Twenty minutes later I switched it back on and the battery was showing one bar where it stayed at for the rest of the night.

1 - As I have said before, and it says in the manual, only pictures taken at 72x72 can be used for contacts. 2 - Yes texting is a big let down. Texting on the U880 is different and faster for some strange reason. 3 - Speed dial works fine here. I hold down 8 and it rings home, I hold down 2 and it rings my brother.

To me this is the most unfriendly phone ever, most of the issues have been covered. it�s a great looking phone but its dam annoying to operate. Right now i am eagerly waiting for the P990i. Unless i manage to sort few matters out i�ll have to bin the LG and buy the sony ericsson p990i. 1: adding photo to a contact! Why does it say �phonebook picture empty�? when in fact I have photos there, why can I not go to a option on a particular photo and added to a contact? 2: texting. My main issue though is group texting. Where by I create a group and send one text to all� now� I have my group (name is football). There is no way I can send a text to my football group! Good: 2 - Yes the camera sucks in low light 3 - Yup bought a pair of earbuds for mine Bad: 1 - As I have said before 100KB is the limit imposed on MMS messages in the specifications of MMS. 3 - Damn straight. Slow as hell most of the time. 4 - Yes all 2MP cameras I have tried are slow 5 - the flash is useless. Not that bright at all 6 - Yes very annoying as the four you can pick from suck. Also you can have vibrate and ring or ring periodically but not both for messages. 7 Oh yes the manual is a waste of paper. 8 - I have tried to contact both LG and wowLG asking if there is a software update but both say contact somebody else.

My screen went kaput a week after using it.... Does anyone know why? Well, seriously; The good: 1. Texting on this thing only sucks if your not using proper english. The predictive text almost always writes the words I want, and if the program doesn't recognize the word your typing, it'll give you an option to add it into the dictionary 2. The camera is pretty cool, swivel the screen 180 degrees, clamp it shut and you have a digital camera! The default settings is pretty dark, but you can brighten it. Takes pretty superb pics...Try it with a microscope :) 3. Plays MP3's well, buy another pair of headphones, though 4. Loved the design, dimensions and feel of the keypads 5. Nice screen, which is pretty large too The bad: 1. The 100kb limit on the MMS is pretty dissapointing. I can't even open files wich are more than 100kb! 2. You can't play music and do something else at the same time. No radio either 3. Texting COULD be faster 4. Slow camera response.... But that's par for the course on most phones with a 2MP camera 5. Ok I have just played with a friend U880 and the softare on that is briliant so why does the software on the P7200 suck so much? The method of texting on the U880 (you select the numbers first) is totally different and far faster than that on the P7200.

I have a 512MB Transflash card in the phone. It works perfectly. I haven't used mine in a week, its on my desk beside my RAZR (piece of crap) right now. I'm using my SE K608i now (I switch so the phones don't get lonely). I'm done responding to emails, but if you put a question on this site, I'm pretty good with responding to 'em in a timely manner. Also as far as I know, there is NO WAY to remove the time/date from the MAIN screen. Anyone who says otherwise should either give us detailed instructions or shut up already. Have a nice day y'all.

What are you on about? 100Kb is the limit im posed on the first generation on MMS. The new ones only accept upto 300Kb. This is not a fault of the phone but a limit imposed by the MMS specifications. As to the rest of your post I can't understand most of it.

Avoided to buy this telephone. It has an impressive series of limits, first of all a riposta to the keys slowest that renders some difficult and little practical I use it. In order to write sms us one is employed life. The immaggini released CAN BE ONLY SEEN To FULL SCREEN WHEN THEY HAVE BEEN AS SOON AS MADE and NOT STILL RINOMINATE. If the rinominate ones you will not be able more to see to them with the option photo gallery when you are in modality camera. The mms they can have the maximum dimension of 100KB (ABSURD), IT DOES NOT HAVE the RADIO, and the MP3 MUST BE ARCHIVIATI IN a SINGLE FOLDER (IMAGINE WHEN YOU HAVE HUNDRED OF SONGS)..... SUCK!!!

Wallpaper is stored in the images folder and not the photo folder so you would have to move it on your computer. Contact photos have to be taken at 72x72 as 72x72 photos are saved as bmps.

Obviously my comment about emailing with questions went over your head. Video playback is full screen only. You have to flip the phone around to watch them. The handsfree dongle has a 3.5mm socket in it for standard headphones.

another alternative to this phone is the inno A20 - i feel it's better than this phone. i took 1/2 hr over this phone and it looks like a copy of the Motorola V3. check out inno A20 before buying this phone :-)

It's not without it's problems. It takes far to many steps to do anything such as actually send a message or change camera settings. Typing in text is extremely slow and you're always waiting for it to catch up. Camera is slow to boot up and slow to take a picture but then a lot of the 2 megapixel cameras are. If you want a good looking phone with easy to use MP3 player and a decent(ish) camera then get this. If you do a lot of texting then I would advise looking elsewhere. As to battery life that seems to be totally random. Somedays it will only last me a day and other times it can go for days. Remember this is a place for you to post INTELLIGENT opinons not just say "don't buy this phone". If you have any questions about it feel free to email me.

Why are people slagging off this phone. i have this phone and it is top notch. Camera is excellent. Different lighting wil get you different photos. Same as W800i UI is fine. The keypad is the pain at first, but same as V3. Also the LG keypad is far easier than the razr. I hate tried both. Battery is two days with frequent texts, odd calls, and little photo use. Overall i would recommend this phone.

How I could upload java applications (.jar files) on the phone? It's seem that the only way is to download it from my phone operator (spending money.....). On older LG phones was enough to copy jar file into "Other" folder and the phone recognize it automatically. The P7200 can't open JAR files!!! Tank U!

To attach a photo to a contact you have to take it at 72x72. try actually reading the manual. As to the camera this is a phone with a camera built in. You want perfect pictures buy a digital camera. Yes it is unfortunate you cannot resize pictures for MMS.

I got this phone with high expectations, only to be extremely let down. So many little things wrong with it. Can't seem to attatch a picture to a contact, when you take a picture the resolution is too high to send in a text, it is also too high to even put as the wallpaper. You can't even rotate pictures... and don't even get me started on the camera quality. Great when you have perfect lighting, but otherwise it is a complete waste of a 2 mega pixel camera.

Just bought this phone. The design is so cool, nice displays, keypad takes some time to get use to it, camera is not that fast but for that u have to buy a real dig cam, mp3 sounds good although the max soundlevel a little low, speakers sound very good. Connection to PC is without any problems. And last but not least, calling is ok too !!!

Good phone... 512MB MicroSD works! But.. How I could upload java applications (.jar files) on the phone? It's seem that the only way is to download it from my phone operator (spending money.....). Oh older LG phones was enough to copy jar file into "Other" folder and the phone recognize it automatically. The P7200 can't open JAR files!!! Tank U!

The manual states that the phone will only accept upt 128Mb card but I have put my 256Mb card in with no hassle. If you want a phone that looks good get this. If you want a phone that wont annoy the hell out of you with stupid things like slow picture taking and an archaic T9 then get something else.

Sad to say, I just refunded my 2nd p7200 yesterday. The first one was dead, got a replacement and same thing happened on the 2nd set. I am no expert but i suspect it has to do with improper electrical layout in the phone. Both times, the phones go dead just after i plug it into 2 different computer's usb. the keypad plate and other metal parts got so hot and the phone just turns off. For safety reason, try connecting your phone to your computer via usb,.. at least for 1 hour, to see if anything will get heated up. you know losing all data in your phone sucks. anybody has a suggestion for a good phone, similar in capability and not a nokia?

If people like Sam would actually supply a correct email I wouldn't have to waste space here with a reply. To use a photo for the contact it has to be taken at 72x72 as stated on page 35 of the manual. Anyway this phone reminds me a lot of the Motorola T720 I over three years ago in terms of the software. Maybe LG should stop trying to mimic Samsungs software and try to mimic Motorola as they've always had the better software. Hell even the wowlg site is a poor rip off of the samsungmobile site.

i have both the se k750i and the lg p7200. i would say in terms of mp3 and cam quality both are the same - well maybe the k750i is slightly better:). however i really like the p7200's design. nice feeling in your hands, and the analog clock in the front screen is really cool. attracts attention and gets compliments every time! the included wired remote is really a big plus. gui navigation and typing sms are a tad slow but tolerable. one bad thing is the battery life which just lasts me less than 2 days with average use (about 5 calls, 5 sms, 2 hrs of mp3 a day). all in all a fine and well-built phone, and highly recommended!

I withdraw my previous comment about the battery life. I put it on charge for 24 hours and this seems to have fixed it. The texting is still dire and as somebody else has stated there are to many stages involved in doing something as simple as sending a text message. Also it still takes 4 seconds for the camera to start up then about 2 seconds to take a pic. To attach a photo to a contact the photo needs to be of a specific size as stated in the actual manual.

to take off the time and date go to the menu then on to the display option and you can change the wallpaper, screensaver on either the main screen or front screen or you can take off the time and date.

This is a great phone. Period. to inform you guys the P7200 is also the G7200 and the G912 - It's the same thing only different model in various countries. To add to the discussion: it does play mp4 videos, the only slow moment in the UI is loading up photos to viev fullscreen (other than that it works fast enough for me). Messaging is easy and you do not need a toothpick to type because the keyboard is indeed flat but also big enough for your thumb. The screen rotates 180* and closes flat - it activates the camera. Many options there - and the speed is acceptable - if you want to take real photos get a Nikon 12mpix pro camera - othwerwise don't complain 'cause this beauty does it's job. The pics come out nice. To synch it with the PC you need to enable the MODEM option in the tools menu. Many hours' work has tought me this ;-) The sync tool backs up the phonebook and it's really all i need. You can get 3rd party soft off the net if you want to add a soda fountain to the damn thing ;-) Just kidding. All round it's very easy to use and a hell of a lot better than the Razr, if only due to the fact that the interface is userfriendly and logical. If you get it in your hands you will not be disappointed. Best regards and good hunting!

First off a question.... Anyone know if its possible to remove the time and date from the main Screen (i know holding down the side button removes it from the front screen but i cant find any options to get rid of it from the main screen) Second a few words about this bad boy..... Ive had this phone about 3 weeks now and having used nokias for the past couple of years, i found adapting to the P7200 suprisingly easy due to a nice, logical menu layout. I use the phone quite a lot for texts and yeah the keypad is slightly ridgid and almost completly flat making texting slightly slower but the keypad looks great so it doesnt bother me. The battery doesnt have a huge cappacity, but its not supprising considering all the gagets there are to play around with. I found that my battery lasts quite a lot longer if i turn off the back-light. - Also if you use the main speakers to play mp3s your battery will not last very long at all. But I personally dont see the point of listening to music without earphones - unless you are showing off, in which case you dont deserve a long battery life! So in short... The phone looks amazing from every angle and feels fantastic- you will never get tired of twizzeling that sreen round. Its a bit thirsty on power but would that stop you from buying a sports car? And getting used to texting might take you a little while- but ive just found myself writting shorter, more simple texts. Hope this helps anyway, Yuk.

thanks to phone personality. a pity i bought the phone before i could see your reply, i guess the page was cached in my browser and so for a few days i don't see any new replies. so i bought the phone,.. like you said, the 2 greatest weakness is the battery life and slow ui,.. i take at least twice as long typing an sms on p7200 compared to k700i, my previous phone. other than that i like the picture quality and the fact that it can be used as an external hard disk,... will be better if the usb connector is inside the phone so you can pull it out and plug it in a computer whenever you need to, as opposed to carrying the cable with you. Saving pictures does take a while, though not 30 seconds, I have the auto-save on. when the camera is set on super fine mode and highest resolution (1600x1200), there's at most 10 seconds stop between taking pictures. Overall, the phone is a good buy. one of the best among its category.

The battery life is dire. About a day with normal use. The interface is really slow. The camer takes 4 seconds to start up then 2 seconds to take a picture. I'd avoid it.

Bad points: I could not get this phone to connect to the pc via USB with the damn software. It was infuriating! Gave up in the end. And the keys are too hard to press. And the phone is soooo slow. After taking a photo with the camera - you have to wait like 30 seconds before you get the option to save or delete it - utterly ridiculous! Worst thing about is when you write SMS text messages - if you want to insert a number in the middle of a text message, you cant just hold the number (like most phones and my last LG phone) you have to scroll through EVERY character on that button before the number comes up! How stupid. And pressing OK after reading a message, comes up with option to delete, when it should come up Reply.

Update: I think I just figured out the PC Sync software. It doesn't so much sync as it allows you to import/export data. This nonetheless is a vast improvement on my past situation. I'm much happier now.

Hey Brandon, Happy Nu Year. My complaints about the phone are as follows: 1. PC Sync software that came with the phone is utter crap. I can't get the software to actually recognize the phone via a USB connection, which is totally stupid. It might be a problem with the provided USB driver though. I'm looking into that. 2. The Battery life is a bit on the weak side 3. The music volume is too low. 4. Too many steps involved when sending a text message or connecting to a bluetooth device...at least in my opinion. But nothing is perfect and I do love this phone. I just think the developers could have been a bit smarter with the OS in general. The keypad is good. A bit stiff, but I'm not a hardcore texter, so I'm okay with it. The UI is a bit slow and there's no FM radio, I'm afraid.

I got this phone for a week now, the down side of this phone is the battery, I listen to mp3 for an hour a day and talk on the phone for about 20 mins, the battery couldn't last for a day, I had to carry two batteries everyday to work. The other problem is the mp3 volume, is not loud enough even if turn to the loudest.

I just got this phone. Mine came in a gray executive box and has an attached LG bluetooth headset. Also black. I aready us the A/x Bluespoon headset, so its likely i won't be using the headset much if at all...but its still a very nice touch. Now, I currently have the the following phones: 1. i-mate SP3i 2. Sony Ericsson k608i 3. Motorola RAZR V3 and at some point I've owned phones ranging from the Siemens CF62 to Sony Ericssons P800 and P900 phones. (What can I say? I love phones) So believe me when I say I know what I'm talking about. This phone is gorgeous!!! Its small, sleek and packed with some really nice features. I've only tested just a few of its features as it is charging, but I can tell this one is a keeper.

i just bought this phone today and the features are great. the only downside is that the keypad is very hard and takes quite a bit to get used to. sometimes you have to use your nails to press down on it but other than that, this phone seems to be quite good. the camera is also very clear which is a great plus. I'd recommend this to anybody who mightn't be able to afford the new motorola v3x. its got nearly the same if not more as the v3x.

a 265k colour screen would have been nicer...hate the block thing at the bottom like the v3, you have to open it from the side. Maybe too good for LG as there 1.3pm cameras are complete crap, and there are quite a few bugs on the LG u8360....wouldnt buy this because of that.
