This was the best phone I've ever owned, but like everything it became out dated and worn out and sadly I had to get another phone. I dropped it many times onto the concrete at work and it still kept on going. a brilliant phone.

I have it for 2 years and a half and i had no problem with it. The display is excellent. The camera has 1024 resolution interpolated which is somewhat bad. The camera has a mcro for close pictures which is nice.

This phone is cute. I had a pink one. The reason I say it's cute because it was pink and it had a little button on the side, that if you'd press it, the phone would automatically flip open for you. This would be a great phone for someone's first phone. The camera is good. The MP3 sucked. So did the speakers.

I totally love this cell phone. I bought it in 2006 and it is still a wonderful and fuctional mobile. The only bad note is that I got some problems on finding accessories such as battery which left me alone some months ago. Really whish Panasonic could upgrade this model now. Milan, ITALY

I have one VS3, i buy one in the internet, because that mobile isn't allready sold in my country, its a fantastic mobile i recomend very comfortable keys to writte messages, the LED illuminaions are very cool and the camera isnt bad at all, these days are mutch better, just one bad thing, the battery sucks.. my cellphone as 3 months and the bettery only last 1/2 days, but the rest is awesome.. good choice.

I've owned 2 Panasonic VS3's! I love the look of the unit. It's sexy...and classy. I bought them in black and loved the exchangeable covers!!! It really made them unique. The 2.0 mp camera is awesome. Very clear pics! The bad side was, the battery doesn't last long...so be sure to buy a spare. The speaker is a little weak, and it doesn't have blue tooth. I prefer the higher VS models. I now have the VS6. All in all, I love all of the "Visual Slim" models and you will too.

love the phone, had worked for me for maybe a year and a half until the speaker stopped working and the phone kept turning off despite a new battery, charger and being repaired. otherwise an excellent phone, very easy to text with.

I love the look of it. I've been having this cellphone for more than 1 year, but the battery keep running out on me within 1 hour, even though I bought new battery. Also, the ear piece stopped working all the sudden and now I have to put people on speaker each time. Is there any solution to my problems?

I've had this phone for 2 years and I think its amazing. I bought it in Aussie for only $280 so it was a good buy. I have enjoyed using this phone and don't have too many complaints about it. The main one for me is the call quality level is very low and I find it hard to talk to anyone when I am in the street or on the bus. I cannot hear them. Inside the quality is fine. I need a new phone desparately as the battery on mine is useless now. I think if I could replace it I would rather do that then purchase a new one. I like flips and slides but there aren't too many out there that I really like the look of. Australia is very limited in the models it gets. Nokia being the main brand. I prefer the Samsung phones but find that there ring/text tones etc very limiting for the best part and hardly have any preinstalled decent ones. I'm looking now at the Motorola V8 although reading comments posted on this site, its putting me off. I wish Panasonic would continue to make mobiles as I would consider purchasing another one with more advanced features.

This phone is great. Everything people say about it is true. Yes, the volume is slightly lower but I feel the quality hasn't been sacrificed. I can live without Bluetooth even though it is handy, but the only gripe I have is when you save something into your predictive dictionary, it is impossible to remove it, and the saved option is always first, which is a hassle if you're 'overwritten' something like 'me' or 'and'... which I have!! Would appreciate an email if anyone has the solution to clearing this!!! Thanks. Josh

This phone has clear bright vibrant color screen. one of the first to feature 16mil color. User interface is very friedly and intuitive. Its a joy to use. It has large vibrant screen and easy to use buttons. Unlike my Sony Ericsson K750i. small screen, sleepy color and lousy and horrible joystick. I'll never buy a SE phone with joystick again. guranteed to spoil or deteriorate after a year.

I had it for almoust 2years and i was very impressed for it�s quality image, good looks and specs for those days. It seems that many people have many problems with their bateries, well to tell you the truth i never had such problems, i always charge the batery when it�s really low and many people don�t do that. A friend of mine, has a VS6 and the batery simply gone, so it seems to be a common problem fo panasonic bateries. No i own Benq-Siemens S88, i and i�m very happy, excelent image and sound but like panasonic no longer exist ion the market :(

It's an awesome phone, like many people here i've had it for 2 years now, the screen is huge, beautiful colour. Although the specs are really outdated I don't have the heart to part with it. I don't know why everyone says the quality is bad, its the best quality phone i've ever had, the battery life is also AMAZING, go DAYs without charging.

I've had this phone for like 1 year. I can't say it's a bad phone, actually it's not. It's pretty good phone. It looks nice, good screen resolution and awesome camera. It doesn't have BT and that's the biggest miss. Also mp3 is limited, low memory, short period for video making, and easily breaks. That's how i lost mine. And one more thing it's so hard to find parts for Panasonic's phones. My opinion is stick to Nokia and Samsung ;)

Very bad phone. Had it for 2 years. Very low quality and low sound. Materials gradually breaks easily. Battery lid deattach's way too easily. Camera's nightmode doesn't do ANYTHING! Dont buy a panasonic.

The battery is not that bad.If it stays untouched the battery lasts up to 12 days and if you just talk a bit every day it can do 7 days without charging ;)

THis phone is so awesome! Had it for 2 years and love it so much. I have black because it doesnt fade like my friends silver one. This phone was popularized by Fast and Furious T.D. and Jay Chou used to advertise them in Taiwan. Very famous phone in Asia. Camera is as good as some Sharp models while costing much less and looking a bit better. Screen is flawless and bright but usb cord broke 2nd time out. Overall a fantastic phone and worlds better than my old T610.

I bought this phone last year, because of the specs (like the big display) and also because of the outside of the phone (i thought i looks stylish)...I still like the functions of the phone, but my phone looks horrible! It's not that i throw with my cellphone or something, im just an avarge user but the material is very bad, so its like my phone has fought in a war or something! I think that Panasonic just doesnt have enough experience making phones yet so thats why their material is so bad...the outside of a phone shouldn't be 'soft' and easy to make scatches...I wish i never bought it...so ppl please consider this before u buy this phone...

Well, it's a common drawback for all panasonic phones, ringtones of MIDI or MP3 are not as loud as the own ringtones of the phone. When you're outdoor, it's better you select classic Panasonic Type 1,2 or 3 ringtones..

Update: I said that irda connection is bad. Previously tried with a mobile action ir adapter. It was really unstable on my PC. Yet I've got an old thinkpad ibm laptop and the ir connection works great! Maybe it was the MA adapter or drivers that waere causing the problem.

Got this phone for over a month...there are goods and bads about this phone.. Bad: -If you use cingular, tmobile..the voice mail picture never disappear..gave tmobile a call..they said it's because of the phone..so you never know when you have a voice mail unless you turn off your phone and turn it back on.. -Sometimes you cannot recieve calls or call others...you never know when...you have to shut off the phone and turn it back on..happens for 3 hours a day..but you don't know when... -my speaker broke...my sister has one...her's is still fine..so i think it's just my luck... -battery is alright..not as bad as others mentioned here.. -call list...you can have up to alot...but once the same person calls you or you didn't pick up...the history of that person disappears..that name will only appear on the list at one spot.. Goods- Great display..and i mean GREAT...you can zoom in alot and it's still good...it's so good you will be amazed... -great alarm system...you can set up to 5.. -can store SMS up to...ALOT...i got up to 100...but i didn't hit the limit.. -everything other then the bad things i listed is good about this phone.. Overall....i say this is a great phone...pros over cons...

Panasonic has some nice phones for a good price. this phones is actualy very Good overall. has a noce screen great resulution. the photos have nice quality, and the phone is very loud. the negative aspects it the low baterry life and that the memory in the mms and sms should be more. you have to constantly delete mms to receive new ones, has capacity to about 10 or 15 mms...or something lik that. but the worst part its that red boton next to the delete boton that deletes caracters in sms. if you press that RED boton all you sms or mms desapears and you have to start over......also the same happens in the calculator or any other aplication... that its not a bad phone just needes some ajustments in design i do not regret buying it

i had this for about 1 month its look awesome! the camrea is not that good but its ok. i didnt get a data cable when i bought the phone so i havent transfer anything yet.the screen colors are very nice. battery seems to die pretty quickly but i dont talk much so its not a big problem for me. other then that this is one of the best phones i had.

Have this phone since february. Here's a brief: - average battery life: 3 days of light use (10 min/day calls, 3-5 sms, no pics, no music), 2 heavy days ( lots of pics and a little gaming, but no excess) - low earpiece volume (if you're a little deaf it's bothering; well I'm not:)) - got some scratches on the joint and on the ring of the camera - lost the rubber caps of the screws on the back, but no problem - macro switch moves in your pocket, check it when you take pics - rubbish IR data transfer; got a cable and works just fine (no problem adding large mp3 files) - solid joint, no trouble - great display - easy to use keypad except confirming key (for me); difficult playng games (btw, you won't find too many games available for this phone) - good pics in daylight conditions for 1MP; bad in macro and dark places - good calendar, alarms, contact list - comfortable for sms-ing Well, that's it. I'll come back next year (if I don't get another phone:))

i just got this phone last month and i think its really awesome, i wanted the silver one but they had none left so i got the black one which is fine. the black is different from the ones i'm used to but its still nice. only thing i don't like so far is that you don't see how long you've talked for a call. i'm not sure if there's an option so you can see that or if there isn't one, if there is it would be great since i'm used to checking on how long the call was.

I have a white/silver vs3 since february. It's starting to lose paint around the joint and the camera. It's not so bad, but in a year I'm sure it will look bad, so it's re-selling value will be low. Try and see them for yourself, but if you still don't know what color to choose, try black. I'm sure it's more resistent.

i've had this phone for almost a year now, and i love it so much. i don't regret buying it. i'm pretty clumsy so i dropped it a lot of times and it's still not broken :) well the edges look like crap now but who cares really. people love the fact that it's so slim and thin :D oh let's see the battery is kinda poor if u use it a lot, but i only use it for calls and sms so it's not a big problem to me. sometimes when i dont use it, i dont have to charge it for days. the photo quality is not the best but it's satisfactory. i dunno i really love this phone and im having hard time finding a new phone that's as good as the VS3.

If you play with the phone about 1/2 hour, the battery will need recharching about the same day. Downloading files by irda from the phone works, but I can't upload anything. Panasonic's soft won't allow you to transfer java apps. Maybe a cable will. Phone is nice to use, but the battery could last longer. There are also small things, like I can't change default actions of programmable keys or I can only make a shortcut to a phone number, not a function (functions can be run by direction keys, though). The joystick is quite small and if you play games better test it before buying. The function keys, including disconnect, are too close to the joystick for me. Overally, very good phone, nice display and the light feature quite cool.

Good phone but after 7 months of use the silver paint has pealed around the camera and other areas and looks really bad

Check the program control of your firewall. I had the same problem till I let the manager connect where it wants. But you can use easily windows to send files. Is it possible to install other applications on this phone?

@Sterling I suggest that you buy a USB cable for transfering the pictures to the computer. The infrared connection is quite unstable and slow.

VS3 has a brilliant screen with colours that I have never seen before on a phone...First I didn`t know how to put files on my vs3 over 1 MB but there is software that allows this function... and you don`t need to wait 15-20 minutes to transfer your 5MB mp3 file, because there are many available programs to make your mp3 about 1-2 MB on 64 kbps! Don`t worry about the quality of the sound, you can`t make a difference with this little speaker.

Hello, I have this phone for almost a year now It was pretty ... now it is not The silver paint has pealed in too many places uncovering the ugly grey plastic. Amazingly the button to open the phone still works (i thought it would be the first thing to go off. The games are fun (even though i prefer tetris like or five in a row etc) ... the only problem is that you need to use the central joystick to play them ... ant it is the worst five directions joystick i have ever tried on a phone ... you always end up pressing the center button with one of the 4 direction buttons... it really missed out in making the joystick feel right in its use. So to play a game is almost impossible... Apart from that, the spreker sound is so low that i have to press it against my ear very hard to hear anything ... Doing that you really grease the nice screen ... and almost every time put your finger in the camera holding your phone against your ear ... The most annoying though is the lack of external screen ... it means that every time i receive a call i have to open the phone to see if i want to answer it ... the same goes if i want to see just what time it is ... also the different tools availlable are not interconnected well enough ... there is no way to make a calendar entry from a message you received for example... It also happens (quite often) that the phone switches off by itself... Also It happens that i record by mistake conversations because the button is where you grip the phone. Also the camera macro-normal switch does not lock into position. That means that very often you take blurry pictures because by mistake you switched to makro without noticing ... All in all ... I would not buy it again if I had the choice ... not a bad phone ... just too many things that annoy me ... finally price is not every thing ...

Will it work with IRC?)? :) Though I don't need it anymore but I would like to know.. :) I'm very curious, couse I almoast had a nervous breakdown when it rejected "my special" program, which I really needed at that time. :) And then I read in the manual that java games - > only with gprs.. -> I was pissed even more! :) After dicovery of "send to phone" I was quite normal again, couse it is so simple.. A worlds largest idiot could understand how it works. :)

For the moment my vs3 vork's verry god, i've made my fhone to transfer java games :), and becouse the speaker volume is poor for mp3 ring tone i've used cooledit to amplifi the sound.

And yes, the camera: zoom can be used for video (2x), but you can't zoom in/out while recording. and for pictures (25x) but in VGA resolution or less, not in 1.3MP.

Well, yes it does play MP3 as a ringtone, but it is not actually MP3 player.. No playlist for example.. All music extensions (mp3, amr, mid, mmf, m4a - those are ones that I have on it) are in one folder "Stored sounds". Besides, it has 30MB. That's enough for pictures or video, but not for MP3's. Bad thing, I would say, is limited video recording.. I mean.. 59 seconds - what can you record in 59 sec? I live in Croatia and here they don't sell PC cabels for Panasonic, so I have to use infrared, and I have to say that I never had problems with connection - just don't let IRC or VS3 move while using it, you can't even touch it. Though I had problem while trying to transfer data through infrared from Sony Ericsson, but after 20th attempt it worked.. :) But connecting it with Siemens hasn't been a problem. Whitout PC cabel it is also difficult to transfer MP3 to phone, couse with IRC transferring MP3 of 5MB takes about 15-20 minutes.. And one more thing, which is, I think, very important: VS3 does not allow transfer Java games (games saved on PC) through any cable or infrared. Only wap/gprs! And for that you can use very simple, free & aprox.800KB programm for PC - "Send to phone" At first I couldn't find simple and free software, then I asked Panasonic's service center here and they said that it is not possible (?!) to transfer anything (?!) from PC to VS3 using WAP/GPRS (?!).. So don't trust everything people in service centres say.. Though experts should work there but..

I purchased a black VS3 from HK and have been using it for a couple of months now. The speakers on this phone is weaker than other phones, so you'd have to push the phone closer against your ear during conversation. The phone does not come with many ringtones so have an Infared Port, phone-to-USB cable, is important. You can also use the built-in voice recorder to record your own ringtones too. It does not have a CallerID display on the outside, but you can customize the light to glow at different colors so you'd have some clue on who's calling you. My phone's batteries last very long, I can talk for 3-4 hours and it'd still have a bar or two left. It has a strong case, I dropped it a couple times and it only received minor scratches. I purchased a clear cover for the phone and I print my own cover design for this phone. I get bored with the look of my phone quickly, and being able to customize my phone this way was a big incentive for me. The camera is good enough for me to leave my Lumix at home. Although it does not have an expansion card slot, as long as you have a computer, you can transfer the pictures to clear up the memory. The camera does not have flash though, nor auto-focus like the sony ericssons. The screen on this phone is so beautiful. It is candy to my eyes everytime I use the phone. You can also customize the 9 menu icons to your pictures too. This is a highly customizable phone so it will stand unique from the crowd. It's not an mp3 player though , so don't even bother considering buying this phone for that function.

I'm from Greece and I have faced -in fact, I'm still facing- quite a few problems. First of all, when i send SMSs in greek i'm usually charged with at least 2 messages, instead of 1, even though the text does not exceed the standard limit of 160 characters per SMS. Only if the text is very small, then i'm charged with only one message at the time. Secondly, the MP3s that i use for ringtones are not reproduced properly, that is, when they are played for the first time (when someone calls)the MP3 stops before it ends and it starts all over again and this is repeated 2 or 3 times before it is played wholly. Any solutions to these problems?

Got this phone for my wife about a month ago. paid 275$ for it(Very cheap in my country-Turkey, considering the high taxes). She is very pleased with it. Sound is good, picture is brilliant. Battery life is average considering its class and features. I use data cable to transfer data. Phone's own ringtones are loud but when you set mp3s as ringtones without changing the volume, it's really hard to hear. So I take an mp3 and make it louder (using goldwave or nero soundtrax or audacity-there are lots of programs for it.) But here it is important that the sound mustn't burst. Finally, I advise this phone.

When you upload your own ringtones, they aren't very loud, but loud enough to hear it in your hand. when it's in your pocket it's pretty difficult to hear. however, if you use the original ringtones that come with the phone, they are QUITE loud.

The content og the box differs from one country to another. In Bulgaria for example I've heard that in Bulgaria you'll find 3 covers, the headset, the screwdriver and a usb cable. In Romania only the 3 covers and the screwdriver. Perhaps it differs from one operator to another.

To everybody: There's nothing wrong with the phone concerning connectivity! It simply can't accept files larger than 1 MB through IrDA. If you would like to upload larger files, please use a data cable. And Panasonic has its own phone management software, you just need a computer with an internet connection to find it. PS: I have VS3 and it's working perfectly. PPS: If you just use the phone to talk, the life of the battery is around 3 days. If you transfer files, make pictures and so on, it drops to 2 maybe 1 day.

I've had this phone for 3 months now and never had any trouble with any of its features, the flawless coloures are as good as described, the sound quality is excellant and it is an all round brillant phone. I've never bought a phone that has met my high expectations yet the VS3 has completed this task easily. I highly recommend it to anyone.

For Katerina. I've just bought the vs3 2 months ago. I'm quite satisfied with it, the battery is 2-3 days of medium use, its manu is user-friendly, generally it is well built. The infrared works with other manufacturers phones, but I couldn't receive a 5Mb mp3 from a Nokia. The pictures are easily shared. The ring volume is ok, and mind that I'm quite deaf :)!

There are two ways to check the Call log, First one is just push the Call key in the idle mode and then select the call type by Navigation key left or right. Second way is go to Contact list from main menu and select Call log. First one is much easier.

For JIM. You'll find out if you have received any new sms by the blinking lamp un the front cover of the phone, you don't have to open it and check. The light can be personalized with th e phonebook so several senders can have specific colors. This feature is available for incoming and missed calls too.

I have the phone for 1 month now. It`s quite ok. Some lacks (e-mail etc.), but ok. ONE big problem though: when I write an sms with T9 and I make a typo, this wrong word is memorized in the vocabulary. HOW can I delete it?? It�s just toooo stupid that when I write a message now, also ALL the wrong-typed words show up at first row and I have to use the cursor buttons to choose the correct word!! I cannot figure out how to delete vocabulary entries.... thanks.

Hi Guy! I just adore the disign of this phone and am seriously thinking of buying one for myself. One thing I really want to know is that how I would know any sms arrived without opening the flip? I know it flashes and rings for 10 seconds or some time if sms arrives. But just say I left it on my desk and came back half an hour later. Do I have to open the phone to check if any sms came through as there is no external display??? I use Panasonic X70 which has it and very useful to me. Thanks in advance!

Hi! I've 3 Panasonic VS3 because I've bought with a Vodafone promotion and I payed � 69,00 each one. After this, I bought a USB cable on eBay for � 10,00 (inclusive of shipping) and this cost it's good because I can use the cable with all the 3 mobiles. The mobiles are good for me. The software it's quick, sending sms it's really simply and the screen it's fantastic. I know a lot of people here ask for other features or is disappointed for some of them but for me this phone is the maximum (with this price!). The battery it's not a problem for me with a normal use and, most important, I turn off the mobiles when I sleep (if you usually don't receive emergency calls during the night, I think it's not necessary to stay on). I'm a minimalistic user: calls & sms. If I want to listen music, I turn on my iAudio mp3 player; if I want to take some photo, I turn on my Canon and if I want to play, I turn on the computer. That's what I do. But after see the fantastic 16,7 millions colours screen, I've done an exception and I've opened a thread where at the moment I've posted more than 2,000 high quality images free for all and created for sharing! i didnt drop the phone once, i took it out of my pocket typed in my pin number, then a black like creeped across teh screen, there is now i nice big scratch across the screen, and panasonic will not replace it, to pay to get it fixed it will cost more than it cost me for the phone, do not buy if u want a 2 month lasting phone, an absolutely fantastic phone for one month though!!

The phone is really well build and the 16M display has no rival in this class. I would recomend this phone for anybody who wants to have a stylish but also a basic featured device. For me it is the perfect "second phone", the first one is a business smartphone. About the sound quality and reception, i couldn't find that situation that is described in many reviews that the phone doesn't perform so well. The sound is clear and loud enough for a decent conversation.

this phone is awesome, allthough it lacks some things like a memory card slot and the fact that you can't select for sim only or phone only contacts. other than that it is truly incredible and for the price it is simply spectacular. i can't say this enough, if panny had decided to put some memory card slot into some of their vs/mx or sa series models and include some real mp3 playing capabilities than these phones would have kicked major ass. i wonder what panny's got installed for their yet to be released 3g phones. time will tell but i can tell you this right now: panny has shown that it can deliver a great lineup with these phones and with a little more persisting advertising they could deliver a serious punch to the mobile market.

OK, I'm back just a few hours after my post below, and I am in TEARS...OF JOY! I finally got the USB Driver for this phone to work, and when it does, BOY IS IT A FUN PHONE! Transferring photos and more takes but seconds! I got my money's worth I think now. The trick is to download the updated software from Panasonic's website, install the driver located in the folder "2000" from it first, then after your driver is installed, let WindowsXP prompt you to find the install.exe, which you install normally (my phone was plugged in this time, just for reference) and then the Handset Manager is installed along with the driver! It's miraculous and I cannot stop sharing all of my wonderful photos! Battery life (to the people below) hasn't been an issue for me yet (I've only had it for barely 2 days), but I noticed that when I only let it charge for 1 hr, it still lost power quite quickly after a few minutes of use. Still, if I had let it charge for 5 hours, I'm sure it'd be great for my 9 - 12 hour days.

I just got this phone yesterday and it took me five hours to figure out how to configue the MMS settings for T-Mobile USA (using internet resources and guessing skills with the phone). I was very impressed at first, but slowly that wore off. The USB Cable they give you is great--IF IT WORKS with the driver from the CD installation. Unfortunately for me, the Panasonic CD included does not install the Panasonic VS3 USB Driver perfectly every time and this results in 1) not being able to send larger sounds or photos to your phone (any pic is sized to a minute 96 pixels wide!) 2) not being able to take the large, pretty photos off of your phone to your computer (when you send them via MMS to e-mail, they are shrunken to 640x480), and 3) just a pain in the neck because you cannot sync contacts, etc. I knew that getting a phone not specifically made for the US had its risks, but if I cannot enjoy the 1.3 megapixel camera on this phone, why did I pay so much money? This phone is no MP3 player, but I had hoped to have nice ringtones and pretty displays along with a fun Contacts interface...so far, I've only gotten one of my wishes. I am considering buying the infrared cord because the USB Driver will not work with the given software (though Windows XP recognizes that it's being plugged in). Perhaps the instability is a ploy to get us to use Panasonic Box in order to buy their tunes and wallpapers for overpriced dollars?? The best things: Contacts interface is great, sending MMS or SMS is a breeze, color is AMAZING, buying the white model gives you a total of 3 faceplates (white, blue w/ grey flower design on side, black), MIDI (and the pre-installed MMF/MP3) sound crystal clear The worst things: When you use the non-standard earphones, you'll notice that there is no bass really; Inability to receive large files despite having more than enough space through MMS; Inability to send large files to e-mail addresses; Ridiculously non-working USB Driver for Windows XP is inexplicable and makes this product VERY OVERPRICED, 10-second-playback for MMS/SMS alerts limit. I only have 10% regrets about getting this phone. I liked it without the external display, but now I feel like I should've gotten a phone with a miniSD option just to have access to putting files on my phone. If you don't want this pain, get the VS7.

If you need to have mp3 player or you depend on this phone to take pictures or bluetooth is a MUST for this phone then i suggest you not to buy it. This phone doesnt act well as an MP3 player, need an mp3 player? Buy the real one. The camera is good but maybe not for those who wanna get very fine quality pictures. Bluetooth is widely use by people but i dun see a need for bluetooth cos i've never asked someone for a ringtone, video etc from their phone. Try retyping as what you've done and check the sms counter after inserting extended character instead of the normal letters and you'll see that the sms counter jumps down in an instant. You cannot expand your SMS tone longer than 10 seconds. For file transffering, with or without a CD phone tool program, you can send to and from cellphone->PC->cellphone through IR device. I use USB IR MA 620, bought in computer store. We cannot add nor there's a site where we can download a COLOR SCHEME or a theme for VS series. Have contacted them through Email and they cant do anything about it. JAVA games can only be uploaded to phone through WAP. And not through PC.

I got the vs3 2 weeks ago, and I have no major complaints. Since I use my MP3 player to listen to music. the 32mb is enough for me; to put some mp3 ringtones and pictures. .. Yes, you can put more than 1mb from your computer to phone with the usb cable. My only downer, is that it's missing bluetooth. A great and stylish phone.

sorry. I really need to ask if in Singapore, the VS3 comes with a USB wire and headset or whatever you call it. It's very important for me as I just need a phone which can play a few songs and take great-looking pictures. I tried Samsung, it's great too but I seem to have no luck with it, my two Samsung phones spoilt within half a year. So now I feel like trying a Panasonic but I'm unsure whether the sound quality is really as bad as the people described it and a 1.3mp camera actually doesn't take good photos? I don't understand. And transferring of songs from a comp, i load my songs from a cd into the com and via USB port i send it to a VS3 is it easy? I read some big problems about the downloading being difficult. I hope this phone doesn't has as much problems as everyone describes it.

Just got this phone-purchased unlocked. Just popped in my sim card and I was good to go. Pros: Nice design-black is nice over the silver version. Solid form factor. The automatic flip is handy. Nice screen. Haven't had any problems with the battery life yet. 24 hours since purchasing the phone the battery is still full. Good reception and signal strength-the bars aren't sporadic. The CD and USB cable easily synched my laptop. Better than the Razr! Cons: No outside caller id display. To me it doesn't really matter. Can't set the mobile internet browser on the phone; my provider's Rogers so the mobile broswer instructions aren't really helpful. Any suggestions? Not really a big deal if you just want to send and receive calls check voicemail and text message.

one of the covers u can get is pink stripes, it looks very pretty. it isn't as HOT pink as the VS2, i personally think that looks a bit tacky. The screen is beautiful, so clear. The bummer is that the video is really blurry with fast movement, very grainy and the ringtones are not loud enough. But overall, its quite a good phone. Battery life is ok..v good if ur not on ur phone 24/7 (jus for personal use).

@tazzzzzz Either your codecs are outdated or you've transferred mp3s with a bitrate lower than 48 kbps which the phone can't play. Try installing K-lite Codec pack or just use songs with higher bitrate. ;-)

MP3 is supported in VS3. To make it loud, use a software called Goldwave, it can be downloaded @ www.goldwave.com Video can be set up to how much memory you've got left. Theres an option for it. 3GP VIDEO is supported, dont know if it can play MPEG4, havnt tried it yet. You can transfer MP3 tones to and from Computer-VS3 using Data/USB cable by Panasonic. You can also use IRDA to upload MP3 and Wallpaper and GIF files. But you cant transfer MP3 larger than 1mb using IRDA. Use the supplied USB cable, included with the handset. Some stores remove it from the box and sold separately. Ask Panasonic about this. Cause mine does have it in the package.

You can use mp3 as a ringtone,can download games with usb cable(almost all games I tried work)and Panasonic has special site for downloading-panasonicbox! This Pfone is waaaaaaaaaay better than samsung e 350:) The only bad thing about this pfone is that the battery is ery lame(if you don't follow the instuctions in the manual you won't be able to use it for more than30hours before recharging)!

To view received, missed call, and calls, go to Menu -> Contacts -> Call Logs. Then press RIGHT or LEFT Navigation Key. MP3 and Pictures can be downloaded to and from PC-VS3 via IRDA w/o any software needed. While as for using Data Cable, first install the accompanied Handset Manager. If you are using Windows 98 or 2000, Insert CD and rightclick->Explore->Choose your operating Windows->Click install. This way a correct software will be installed. Just Noticed that when assigning tones for SMS, Just make your tone short cause it only support short tones of about 10 sec. While for ringtones, theres no problem. To make your MP3 sounds great and loud, Use GOLDWAVE sound editor found at Goldwave.com. Animated wallpapper is supported using an Animated .GIF file.

Px3G .. yes, you can transfer data via IR. mjkb .. you CAN send and recieve pictures and music from other phones. I don't know about SE K700 but it works with SE T610 & T630 so I guess it will work with K700 too. It's not true that you can't recieve files bigger than 1MB.. You'll have no problem with mp3s and stuff..

Where can I find the call list? What i noticed is that you can only see it if there a person calling you and you dit not answer the call. If you close the window that displays all your call list..then you already have no way to view it again unless you will have another call..

Trouble is, I'm in the UK, and have discoverd that the handset wasn't released here and I'm having trouble getting it configured for MMS & WAP. Mine (Vodafone version)lasted 3 days. While surfing on wap, it suddenly died. It is new and dead. The vodafone version will forbid u to download any application via IR so u are obliged to waste your money on wap download. These guys are smart. So you buy a phone with Infrared, but can only use it for picture and sounds. Also mine came with nothing except a charger. And the pc software available from the web is a piece of crap compared to Nokia' pc suite or Sony's... Avoid it for many reasons.

In reply to dari, below about installing Java applications. I am tempted to say ask monkey-man below - he has all the answers. Seriously though, I wish this site had an age restriction on postings. Here is a serious reply. The Panasonic VS3 it is claimed will run J2ME (Java) games that conform to the MIDP2.0 specification. Unfortunately there is no way with the PC software that is supplied with the VS3 to upload and install games via the VS3 data cable. Both the PC software and cable are supplied and sold with the phone in some countries. As some of the posters in this forum have already discovered uploading music and photos to the VS3 is restricted too. For example, to upload pictures, music and video the album, sound and video applications (respectively) in the supplied Handset Manager software may be used. These applications appears to prevent most forms of useful uploads possibly as a way to enforce Digital Rights Management (DRM) which is present on the phone too. There does not appear to be any equivalent Mac software supplied for the VS3. Sorry, Mac users out there. So how does someone install Java apps on this phone? Unfortunately there are not too many options. You can browse to a WAP site and download from there direct to the VS3 via the air waves. Or some sites ask for your mobile number so they can automatically send it to your VS3. Look out for additional extra data charges levied by your mobile phone company when you do this as they can be reasonably substantial. Look out too for other hidden costs. E.g. there is no way to backup software/games you have purchased and installed on your VS3. So if you lose them you will have to re-purchase them again. That is unless you have the application/game in its native ".jar" format which is the file format for Java software that runs on the VS3. And if you have software in this format there is the problem once again of just how to install it - catch 22. I found a site (sorry I lost it again) that will for a price send it to your phone number. So you pay for them to do this and you pay again to your phone company for the bandwidth used to do this. So what's the answer? As a games developer I won't develop for the VS3. It's just too expensive to upload and test .jar games repeatedly during development using the air waves. As a games user I restrict myself just to games I can download from my phone company - they charge me only once and tell me exactly how much before I make my purchase. In the longer term I will likely purchase a phone that runs the Symbian operating system. Just now these phones tend to be rather slow but in the next year or two we will likely see them packing more grunt. In the meantime I will put up with the VS3's foibles. Because other that the problems pointed out here it's a great bit of technology.

The strong points are:The Most wonderfull screen ever made the best os the market i guess, giant memory of SMS (about 500) and also good memory for a middle class phne (about 32MG), MP3 support and the well realized camera with 1.3MP!!!! The low points for me are: the weak autonomy the phone only last 1/2 days (ate least for now but the phone is new i hope it gets better), and the metalic sound of the loudspeaker, in spite os being 40chanels polyphonic the melodies always sound distorted when is sound level is set to the max. Good money value, i recomned it, and it�s not expensive, eher is only 150� Vodafone pre paid

If you're having problems downloading games to your Panasonic VS3 there is a simple solution. Go to your local zoo, and get one of the monkeys to do it. Downloading games to the VS3 is extremely simple. The only skill that is required is that you're able to read. Follow the instuctions on screen, not that you need them. It's proven that monkeys can even read simple sentences... Are you stupider than a monkey? Haha, Of course you're not. I'm extremely satisfied with this phone, and it is very easy to use.

just got mine few weeks ago and i came here last saturday and read an opionion saying there's a program that alters the movie files so that they can put entire movies into the phone, that guy put finding nemo if i remember correctly, but i can't find that opinion anymore and i can't remember the name of the program. maybe the opinion is for another one of the VS? does anyone know of a program like that?

I have had the VS7 for about 1 week and the VS3 for about 2 weeks. Both are BEST phones! I love them. Unfortunately, there is no MiniSD card slot... however, I did find that it stores MORE THAN ENOUGH things on it. I've already racked up as many ringtones, videos and pictures that I could possibly get my hands on. And the software that came with the VS7... IT'S GREAT!!! The best display of colors and resolution here I've ever seen before(I've not seen Nokia N90 yet but I think N90 is better according to the specs.)Unfortunately, if you take pictures with the camera,the color captured on phone is not as true as what you see of the object.But, if you download pictures from the internet or upload thru the USB, then will you understand why Panasonic called it 'true color'. It's very sharp,bright and the pixels are so close together it's like you're looking at an image from the TV or PC. Picture quality aside, speaker quality is a major let down!sigh! Some of the default rigtones are still remarkable(sharp,loud & crystal clear). But, if you download the midi files or MP3, the sounds that comes of from the speaker is too sharp in treble with very little bass and the volume, even at its highest level, is not loud enough. SMS is friendly(at least so much friendlier than my previous GD88). It has no bluetooth so i guess it's not a phone for drivers. Overall, the design is sleek and chic,suitable for both modern men & women(esp. those who like women's stuff to look masculine) I like Japanese designs but not Korean. I know Samsung can be great in other areas but its design to me is all pretentious with unnecessary curves, lines or shapes crying out loud for attention.

OK, I have found out that the Vs3 does NOT use the Symbian OS, but I still don't know exactly what. It is possibly something that is proprietary to Panasonic. I still have a big problem with the VS3. I cannot find how to download games to it. There are no instructions, nothing in the supplied documentation, nothing on the Panasonic web sites, nothing in user groups on the web - NOTHING. All the documentation mentions is that it plays J2ME games. Well this is just plain wrong. It doesn't because there is no way to download games to the VS3. Really dumb.

Anyone know how to add frames to the phone throught the USB port? I used the Handset Manager but it only put the frames in the pictures. I can't find where you add the frames. There are 5 preset frames and i am wondering if you can add any extras?

A really nice phone with superb display. Well designed and easy to use. Headphones and data cable included too. The included Handset Manager software is very disappointing. Documentation is not up to the required standard. I cannot find out how to install new software (e.g. games) and just what games are compatible and can be played on the VS3. Hey guys, I just got this fone. It's great but the speaker is not loud enough for a little noisy place. By the way, I set a song which is more than 5 seconds (MP3/M4A) as the ringtone. The first ringing tone is always clipped at 5 seconds. Then the second is able to play the whole song. What a strange to me coz I no no experience with Panasonic fone before. Hi,everybody:) I think it is so nice mobilephone. Very brilliant colour(16Million) with high resolution screen (240*320),cool style-very slim & not heavy. In Turkey...you must pay about 400$ for VS3. But it is not too much! This mobilephone definetly worth having. Of course there is not a perfect thing in the world. And VS3 has some bad sides too! It doesn't have Bluetooth and card slot. But you can use USB & infrared to download wallpaper or pictures from PC to your phone. If the memory is not satisfied you, you must wait for VS7. But if you want to have a phone with very good screen-colour and want not to pay too much...I can recommend you to have VS3. I think you'll like this phone as I do!

This phone is awsome!!!!!!!!! the box comes with everything you need but i didn't expect it to come with headphones too! The screen is just like your LCD monitor! So far so good. No sighs of volume problem or anything. The Handheld manager (cd rom) is easy to use. Love the game inside, sonic the hedgehog and 3d soccer game even though it looks like 2d. Loving the auto-open feature! Disadvantages: Video recording quality fussy and no short cuts to menu options

So u cant expect Bluetooth or external memory okay... if u looking for that, u should go for MX7 which is for high end user.. so dont complain with this price.. i think you need windows xp to auto install the usb drivers and then you can use the panasonic software. btw great phone only prob is the speaker is a little weak, but you just have to hold it closer to your ear.

You don't have to use the nav pad for speaker phone, just use the number key (I think its 5 or 6). The only bad thing about the phone is the fact that the rf isn't that great, if you live in a really saturated area, its fine. There are pictures from the camera here:

This phone supports m4a format, where 32MB will be more than enough. This phone is here for those who doesn't want to spend so much money for a cell phone compared to the VS7.
