Just download first the jadmaker(you can find it on google). You cannot install jar files only, because this unit requires first the jad files of the jar files you want to install.

The charges stays very much long...the security system is awesome , customizable lighting system for keypads enables you to save lots of charges... Hey pal. Dont b angry. Its true that its mic is not available coz it is made by a new technology and has 4 pins where ordinary mic has 2 pins. I also changed its mic frm basundhara,dhaka, bd. They told me the same and they took 20 days to repair. And now 1.5 years passed and faced no other problems. I think u should give it to change the mic in samsung service centre. Coz u wont find the same mic outside.

Q: From where do u get worse customer care? Ans: Samsung. Why? My phone's mic got damaged without any cause 3 months back. I took it to samsung customer care-bosundhora,Dhaka,Bangladesh then. They told me to come 1month after as they do not have the mic. After 1month they took the phone for 15 days and assure me that it will be ok. But when i went to receive my phone yesterday after 15 days they told me that they do not have the mic and it will come after 1month. WTF? So i took my phone and came back home without repairing. I will never buy a samsung product ever again and hope you will do the same.

This phones mic is made in a new technology. Its has four pins where normal mic has only two. This mic can serve low gain bt best quality sound. So coller listen a very low sound. I have also changed my phones mic to. Its not this phones problem. Its a fault of the new technology. Just change the mic frm service centre in free.

i have this phone and i love it. my document viewer though doesnt work and i have seen many people complain about the mouthpiece. sadly mine has a problem with the mouthpiece too and is being repaired. is this a feature of all the phones of this model??? i so love my phone and this is very disappointing!

I am using this phone for 1.5 years and still its battery serves 2 days in normal use (talk 1-2 hours, sms and music) in single charge. I think yours is the lower quality phone that is made in china. My one says only made by samsung, battery in japan, mc in taiwan. Dont worry. You can increse the battery life by turning off keypad light.

not a bad phone but what ever u do don buy the white 1 it canges color after a few months the phone was looking great when new in white but after it was like a month so it turned pink!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i then used a match stick to burn it n turn it black it actually worked.....i cant se the pad properly but its better then pink!!!

To reject calls automatically- go call log>manage>reject list>add number. Or simply go to that number in recent contacts click option>add to reject list. Now call from this number will be rejected automaticaly.

I've this phone for the past 1yr now. I had a small problem with the vibrator which I got corrected at the service centre (free of cost as it was still under warranty). After that till now I have had no bad experience with it. The camera and music is just fantastic. The GPRS is also pretty fast. Accelerometer, display, bluetooth connectivity & other features are also decent. It can compete with some of the other best phones in this category. The battery back-up is the only concern. I need to charge it once in every 24hrs. But that is still fine considering that it has a slim battery. I would rate it 3.5 out of 5.

your specification on battery - stand by upto 250 hrs if totally wrong since from my experience on the model bought in april 2010 is very horrible - just 48 hours. i refered the matter to your authorised service centre at Palakkad (PH No 04912500723)and they checked this up with their own 2 batteries and they confirmed that it lasts only for 48 hours. Now as a musician myself, i do not use the music player. I sparingly use the mobile (max 5-8 inward & outward calls a day). still the battery life is very poor.the chargers seems to be more more important than the mobile. I request you to let me know what best you can do to find an alternative battery for this model. Hope your technical skills and R&D dept will save this model from embarassment. I feel betrayed very much from the details shown in the net - please help me out from this trap with a battery having much longer life. would you? My contact No 09495133939

Not really, for some reason even though how much you change those tags it will not work on this phone. And you do not have to wast your time tagging it using other applications you will just frustrate yourself and waste all your efforts. xD

You don't have to download it. Just use an MP3 tagging app. Winamp can do that, or some other MP3 player app out there (I use Rhythmbox). Just re-tag it and it'll work.

i've been using this phone for a week or so , everything seems to be working just fine. the document viewer is actually useless since you can't really read or see much on such small screen but at least it supports the document files. mp3 player quality isn't top notch and you shouldn't be expecting to feel the same quality as ipod on this phone but it's fairly good and with Micro Sd Card support you can expand your memory and put more musics on your phone. camera is really really average and maybe at some points somehow poor. battery life is somehow average , and with a really average talk time (1 hour a day) i have to charge it every 2 or 3 day. the quality of the screen and the colors are really crisp and good and the menu effect are totally awesome and i really enjoy it. one of the things that i really like about this phone is the turn - to - mute feature that lets you make your phone silent by facing it to the ground. if you really want to play java games on your phone you should know that it has a very limited memory (4096 KB) for installing java games on it and you can't install big games like FarCry on it cause they're out of it's memory capability. one of the things i don't like about this phone is the key delays on texting (you press a key and it take's about 0.2 or 0.3 secs to show the alphabet)which makes it an uncomfortable phone for writing text messages , at this point i've got to say if you want a cheap phone that is good for text messaging go for Nokia 1202 and you'll experience a real time (no delay) key typing. one of the good things about this phone is that it's really light and it's really really thin which makes it a really slim phone. in general for the price it came with it's a really good phone and has really awesome features. hope that helped y'all ;)

I do agree with you. It is a good set but after using 7 months its mouth speaker at first got weak and now it is dead. The other party can't hear what i am saying. It is disappointing. I am going to samsung service centre tomorrow though my previous experience with there service centre is horrible. Hope this time they behave well.

In such a small screen why do you want to see video? Anyway this mobile do support mp4 of low quality. You have to convert video at 15fps with normal quality. And you can play video full screen by pressing # while playing video. Hope this help you. Bye.

copy and paste jar and jad file to your mc, then install the jad file.. if jad file is not available, download a jad maker in order to make a jad file from the jar file that you downloaded, to use the jad maker, just drag and drop the jar file into it, and jad file will appear on the location of the jar file.. note that sometimes the applications you're trying to install will not work, better yet choose another game.. enjoy...

Well i might be little bit harsh on my previous post because u didn't mention the source of information earlier. Any way it is a nice set have so many features in so less price. You will not regret buying it. My sort review about this phone is here to make u understand this phone better: Pros: 1. 16M color display is very nice to c. 2. It is so slim and lite sometime i forget if it is in my pocket or not while it is there :) 3. Good sound quality with head phone 4. It is charged via USB cable so i can use it as a modem without connecting charger which is most convenient for me as using phone as a modem cause lots of battery consumption. Even Nokia phones like 5800XM do not have this feature. I like this veryyyy muchhhh. Probably the worst phone I've ever owned. Can't wait for it to break or be lost. It has a giant "instant scam" button that you constantly accidentally hit and loads up the web browser. I always cancel immediately, but it still connects for just enough time to drain a little from my account. The buttons are fiddly, and there are many useless ones. The camera doesn't let enough light in, unless you live in the sahara and are taking pictures of the sun at noon you'll be a little dissappointed. On the plus side it takes a regular 3.5" headphone jack, supports A2DP stereo bluetooth also.

yep, the E stands for Edge, which means that Edge (236 kbps) is available wherever you are. Basically you can browse the net through your phone with speeds up to 236kbps. It's not bleeding edge like HSDPA or Wifi but hey, it's faster than GPRS. :) No, you can't get rid of it.

The last time this happened to me, the memory card didn't get recognized suddenly. When I removed it and reinserted it to the phone, everything came back. Give that a try first, and make sure the phone can recognize the files. There should be another tab in your My Files for the memory card. If there isn't, the memory card probably became loose for some reason. If the memory card is there, the files are there, and you can play the files from the file browser, try checking if any of them had tags. If they don't, tag them. But, I'm guessing they do have tags because you were able to browse them before right? So try removing the memory card and reinserting it back.

I don't use the PC Suite that came with the phone, instead, I plug it into my computer and I choose Mass Storage when the phone prompts. when you plug the USB cable, the phone will ask what kind of connection to use: PC Studio, Media Player, or Mass Storage. I suggest you choose Mass Storage so that your computer (Windows, Linux or Mac) will 'mount' it as an external storage device, like a flash drive. For this to work properly, you have to make sure that your memory card is properly inserted. To check if it is, there should be another tab in My Files for the memory card contents or they should be an icon in your standby that looks like a memory card (it's usually right next to the Profile icon). You don't have to set anything to tell the music player to look for files in the memory card. If a memory card is inserted, it looks through that automatically, by default. If for some reason you can't see your music files, try (1) taking the memory card out and then put it back again, (2) reformat the memory card using the phone itself, (3) make sure your music files are tagged properly: title, artist, album, genre stuff like that. The tags are necessary for Samsung because they're not like Sony Ericssons where you can tell it where to look EXACTLY. If the USB cable procedure still doesn't work for you, try using Bluetooth or better yet, try using a memory card reader.

Yeah it does have accelerometer. You have to enable it for the music player, and it works for browsing photos too.

1) Settings > Phone Settings > Auto keypad lock > No to disable it. There's no reason for it to just NOT work. It does. If it doesn't try restarting and doing the same thing again. 2) Once inside your Inbox, open a message, the one that has the number you want to save. Once it's open, hit Option (left softkey) and press 7 (Cut Address). Or you can scroll down. The numbers are shortcuts too. :) After that you can select the number you want to save, but don't hit the center key yet! Hit Options and choose Paste. It'll display the number in your standby screen (like you're dialing a new number), you can save it from there. Hope it helps. :) Read the manual too. They've outlined it pretty well in there. :)

This is a very good mobile phone. 1. It can do a lots of things. I have downloaded about 600 games for this phone and 300 of them run on this set perfectly. Well i cant install all of them together as it has 4MB java memory but i can store those games in my sd card and play them all one by one eventually. So 4MB limitation doesn't bother me. 2. And its battery is not powerful but it can manage to run 1 day so it should be charged everyday, it also do not bother me as it can be charged via usb so while i use it as a modem it get charged(nokia do not have this feature, so if u want to use a nokia phone as a modem u have to plug in both usb & charger otherwise ur phone will shutdown without any warning and u will get disconnected) so i don't have to charge it manually. 3. It has 16M color screen which is very nice. 4. It is so slim & lite. 5. i just had this phone free from postpaid plan. its really difficult to open the batt cover, but i just found a technique worth sharing. the problem with this is actually not the tightness of the cover but the type of plastic material used. u just cnt put enough thumb pressure towards the arrow. ur skin cannot stick well on the cover. So, all u need to do is find a rubber-type matl that can stick well to the cover, then u push by ur thumb.... very easy.

Maybe you should update your firmware(if necessary) in service center. My Phone's Hardware Version is Rev0.1, Software Version is M3510.02 and Device Version is M3510JVIF1. The exact menu order for "Keep a copy" : "Menu-Messages-Settings-Text Messages-Sending Options-Scroll down 5 times". Hope this helps. You can automatically store messages that you sent. There is a setting called "Keep a copy" under the "Menu - Messages - Settings - Text Messages - Sending Options". Note : Scroll down the screen until you reach that option.

1) press the camera icon foung at the bottom of the multifunction button( the horizontal metllic one) 2) after pressing, it automatically opens the camera. 3) press the exit button once and then you will see the menu ( camera,camcordr,gallery,setting and exit ). scroll down and choose camcorder. 4) press the enter button on the left part of the phone and then you will see the menu settings of the camcorder. 5) scroll to the right and you will see a timer icon. 6) after seeing that one, you will see off,3sec,5sec, and 10 sec. choose the off and thats it!

My current phone is a very very simple one. I'm amazed I can even dial on it. It was less than $20... So I'm thinking about the M3510, and my main question is driven by my old phone: when you save a number in the M3510, does it allow you to save a note with the number? I mean, I'd love to be able to store more than the name, I'd like to store something like "Muhammad, math teacher, met at coffee shop, tutoring rate $15/hr". Just simply go to waptrick or mobango.com with ur fons wap browser and download games or apps with this fon. It wil saved in games and more in application. Open it and it wil b installed automatically. To view files like pdf,xl,pp etc, save these files from pc using usb cable. Then open it. U can input these files from any source like pc,internet,memory card etc. U can only view the files but cant make any change. For more information,read my openions i have given before.

U shuld not buy those earphones which are made for mp3 players or other sound systems. Those philips or creative earphones sound wil b gud but u cant listen it so loud in this fon. Coz, their ohom is more than its given earphone. U cant find the same that was. So u should buy bass reflux earphones. I think sony ericsson bass reflux earphone wil b best for it. There r 2 qualities r best. One is about 700-800tk and da best is more than 1500. Dont b cheated by duplicates. These earfon luks like normal but sound is great. Check sound quality before buying. U can search stadium market.

Hi, im using opera mini both 3.1 and 4.2. U should download 4.2 from www.mobango.com . I use pay per kb internet. Use da setting of ur wap browser. Keep at least 600kb free before download. Firstly its size wil be about 165kb. If u fail to install,keep trying. It wil take a little long time in first instalation. B patient. Dont delete if cant install. Try to instal next time. I couldnt instal 4.2 in first time. I keep trying everyday. Finaly i got it. Where r u living?and what is ur server? Browser settings may vary according to da server. Try it. Best of luck.

First read the manual. Then play a music. Go to option>motion cotrol,turn it on. Then press and hold play/pause button of the dedicated music keys. Then shake da fon left/right/up like u turn as directed in da manual. Then release da button. Remember,dont keep holding after shake. I am sure it wil work as ur shaking. In applications u wil find shake and play app. Go and enjoy shaking with motion beat box,dice and lottery. U can view ur pictures as i say in previous openion in 2009-11-30. Check ur email. Thanks.

other useful information about this excellent phone: 1. camera record to mp4 format directly max resolution 176x144 (not so good as picture quality). 2. can read only 3gp, mp4 video file with 176x144 max resolution. 3. the "find music recognition service" is not the "voice recognition service" it can only check songs titles on wap or something like these (it's not useful at all). 4. big problem of samsung mobile: THE LIMITATION OF ALLOCATED MEMORY TO ALL SERVICES ON THEIR MOBILES, on this phone for example you have only 300 sms stockage capacity and 4mb max for games and it's impossible to increase or move anything even you have free space on the internal memory or the memory card, the unique solution that i have find is to transfert sms with samsung pc suite to pc or you will be obliged to delete. 5. the idea of oblige user to work with play lists has some good effects like the prevention the delete of songs by mistake but the way that samsung has choose for selection of files to be added to a playlist is not pratical, the file selector will show you all songs (midi, mp3...) on int memory and memory card and you will face a big problem with the long lists (ex: 8gb mem card with 2000 songs), i suggest that the file selector must show songs in their folders. the task will be easy to user in this way. - for people who said that this phone is so bad and that: the sound quality is poor at the speaker or the headset or on calls, the battery life is poor, the phone hangs all times, i say that you haven't bought an m3510 original, you will identify it by the following remarks: 1. the battery cover is very hard to open. 2. the dedicated music keys are not cromed (i prefer to give you pictures but i can't in this forums). 3. the volume is low even if you increase the volume to max or even you try an original headset like creative, genius, philips... 4. under the battery you will find 'MADE IN CHINA' only, not 'MADE IN CHINE BY SAMSUNG' or 'MADE BY SAMSUNG' and you will remark that the battery quality fabrication is like chinese poor products(i had mentionned it in a previous opinion). i will keep you informed for any news of this product. Remember its expandable mem is up to 8gb. So if u could load theme and it wil hang how disgusting wil it b. So it is not recomanded to load theme in m3510. Thanks

Its music is greater than many expensive fon like cyber shot and xpress music. Its shaking mood is great. U can review ur photos by using tilt mood. Just go to da photo folder and then option. Press 9 and u can review ur photo by angling ur fon. Just angle it in left,u can view next pictures and to right for previous. U can also control da speed of viewing by angle it little or more. Isnt it great!? Its a classic,stylis and profesional fon. U can view pdf files,microsoft word,xl,power point and so many profesional file formats. Camera sometime works like 5-6 mega pixels. I have shotted up to 706 kb(kilo byte) picture. My 6mp digital camera serves like this. Fm raio is good. I always record sound by my handy fm microphone. I think this is one of the slimest fon. Ur beat wil not b affected by virus. Buy this m3510 which has words only-made by samsung under da battery. U wil get a sound box free with other accesories. So b careful from duplicates. hi, i will give same good and pratical things if you want to by this phone (i bought mine on:21/11/2009, based on the opinions of gsmaren members): 1. this is an excellent phone, best than nokia xm5130 and 2700c. 2. the sound quality is great and i mean what i say. 3. the photo quality is nice (don't forget it's only 2mp) and when you compare it to 2megapixel of nokia phones it's realy faraway. 4. you will be satisfied when you open the box, all things you need are here: adpter to 3.5 audio jack, acceptable earphone, 1gb memory card and it's mmc adapter, charger, manual+cd 5. the use of this phone is coool and easy, the method of handling messages, contacts, files and other things are excellent better than nokia symbian. 6. the design is good, the keypad is confortable and the dedicated music keys works well(volume keys works when the keypad is locked). 7. the spedometer works well, this one and the visual effect will give you good impression. disadvantage: 1. the battery life (3days max for medium use) 2. cannot do next when you read mp3 file directly from it's folder. 3. cannot change all shorcuts. 4. cannot increase the capacity of sms storage(max 300sms). 5. the dedicated music keys (ply/pause, prev, next) don't works when the keypad is locked an I D'ONT UNDERSTAND WHY??????? Now i thing that there is 3 versions of this phone on the market: (read under battery) 1. made by samsung 2. made in china by samsung 3. made in china, this one is very bad don't by it. last thing: don't buy expensive phones because it's a wast of money. good luck :) ([email protected])

After downloading opera mini 4.2 u have to go to >game and more> option of opera mini> connection>defult> here u have to set APN to 'gpinternet' if u use 'gp' or 'internet' if 'warid' leave user name and password: blank and proxy: disable. Hope this help u to install opera mini. Let me know.

I got a white one wit gold rim around the screen. Gold button fonts, gold all around the sides including the charger plug cover n gold wit cream colored dots all over the backside. Looks bright n awesome. It looks like a very expensive phone. I use “skullcandy” earphones on my set thru the available 3.5m earphone jack, and the result: crystal clear sound, no distortion using any of the equalizer setting n deep n hard banging bass... Good bye walkman series n xpressmusic. Trust me, i have had N5320xm, SE W580 n W910. M3510 beats any of them in camera, sound n display color quality. Its like owning a cheap iphone! It only cost 85 us dollars. Its sold out here in indonesia. Im glad i bought one...thank u samsung!!

Bought this set yesterday and I am loving it! I\'ve been a Nokia user for a long time, and I thought it\'ll be a hard transition for me to transfer to Samsung, but M3510 is very efficient. it is way better than nokia 5130xm and 2700c... beat their asses all the way down to hell in the camera, music, edge connection and display aspects. and in Indonesia, the price is much cheaper than 5130 and 2700. you get fooled if you actually bought those two phones!! this phone smokes them in everything except the battery life... but you can take care of that by getting an extra battery. nokia batt life also sucked after a few months of using, so, its pretty much the same on that part, but everything else??? goodbye nokia!! samsung is getting better and better now!

An excellent phone for the money. I have had mine a few months, dropped it, texted in the rain; no problems. The music player is incredible, with the noise canceling earphones bringing out top quality sound. Camera quality is alright, useless at taking pictures with dim lighting. Buttons are a little small for my liking, but not a huge problem. My major concern is the battery runs flat a little too quickly with heavy application use, and when music player is being used while texting, the letters come quite erratically, but maybe thats just my quick texting :D. Very good phone, I recommend it.

hey RBa i got yo humour ........hmmmm yea yo code works ot to b good...the thing is samsung vendor has only given ot object code...so even if u change those values of sound it sets it self into default........but some of em works ot...like msg things but if u change it u'll not b able to send msg.........n u have to clear licence data from phone memory slot.....i know u aa brainy so if u get to know d source code we can manipulate wat eva we required.....if u have a system software 2 detect phone memory u could create yo own ca certificate....jus try to decode o's and 1's form to .obj format so that u could surely get source code..........good luck go ahead wid it........PRITAM

One of the best phone ever made by samsung. This is the 2nd time i bought the phone, the 1st one (black) got stolen. Now i have the white one. I used nokia 5320xm, N6300, N3120 classic, LG GM series, KF550, KF750, Motorola V3, E2 rokr, SE G502, W580 and W850 before coming bak 2 this phone. Overall, this phone is the best 4 its price range. Appearance is awesome, lightweight n very thin. Rubber plastic casing, which never slides out of ur pockets easily, 16 mil colors, the best 2mp cam ever, sound is not too loud but clear n crisp no distortion. GPRS is quite fast for a 2G phone. I succesfully downloaded opera mini at the first try from wap.getjar.com without any problems at all. The stuff that comes wit the phone wen u buy it, is awesome! Complete! Box, book, charger, usb data cable, one of the best standard earphones u cud ever get wit a phone(believe me, i've had many cheap standard earphones from other phones), 1gb microsd. WOW!! Only 1 problem, batt life! But its normal for an entertainment phone. Other brands have the same problems. This is truly a collectors item! I currently own a SE W760, W580, G502, iphone 3g 8gb n LG viewty. For some reason, i had to own this one!! Great job Samsung for inventing this phone... Peace out...

FOR THOSE -who experienced difficulty to open the backcover........Take ur handset on ur palm backside directing upwards and lower part of the set directing downward and forward,Put both of ur thumbs just in either sides of the arrow mark in the lower part of the back of the handset,now just push both of ur thumbs in downwards and forward directions simultaneiously.....and it is opened up.....isnt it easy?plz guyz let me know wheather it worked or not.....best of luck!

Just simply transfer the MS Word file directly. You can transfer it either on your phone memory or on your memory card via the phone's USB port. When done transferring, go to the MS Word file to the location in which you stored it on your phone and open it. It will open afterwards.

UPDATE! New observations on this phone: 1. Since most earlier posts in this forum expressed doubts on this phone whether this phone has a Document Viewer or none, I would like to inform you all that THIS PHONE HAS A DOCUMENT VIEWER. You cannot actually find the Document Viewer application installed on the M3510 but hey, it can read office files. Just transfer an office file to your M3510, either on the phone memory or on the memory card. After that, open it and then you will be surprised that it will open! 2. This phone charges off via USB! When you connect your M3510 to the USB port of your PC, it will charge the battery automatically. 3. The menu hack code *#0206*8378# works on this phone! Just to give a little description on this code, it allows you to modify some of the phone's properties e.g. loudspeaker volume, headset output volume etc. However, what I have observed is that, even though you save the values or numbers that you altered on the menu, those numbers will still restore to their original factory or default values. Anyone who can explain why this happens? The code I mentioned above works like a charm on the Samsung E250 and you can even alter just about any numbers on the E250 without problems. So I'm wondering why the M3510 has issues with it. Please.. Anyone? Try dialing it at the standby or idle screen: *#0206*8378#

Very bright and vivid display for a Php 5K phone. 2. Bundled headset is of above average quality. It is an in-ear type of headset and the sound is very rich and bassy through it. 3. Volume is very loud through the bundled headset and the sound, even at maximum volume, never distorts nor creaks. 4. During a call, the earpiece's volume is excessively strong and I even set the volume to 3 out of 7 (Thumbs up for the strong volume during calls). 5. Very nice menu transition effects. 6. Very good number of preset equalizers (AutoEQ, Normal, Rock, Jazz, Live, Classic, Bass, Dance, Pop, Wide, Dynamic, Surround). 7. 2 megapixel camera is very good in daylight. It really surprised me upon seeing it for the first time on a 2 MP camera phone. You know, it isn't a N82 standard but compared to the most 2 MP cameraphones out there, this will easily rank as among the best. 8. Can record FM radio broadcasts. 9. You can connect two headsets at the same time and the music will be heard on the two headsets. The first one will be connected on the 3.5 mm jack while the other one is on the proprietary Samsung S20 connector jack. And good news is that, the M3510 comes bundled with a 3.5 mm adapter for the S20 jack so you'll get two 3.5 mm connectors! Now for the disadvantages of the M3510: 1. Java applications storage is limited to 4 MB. 2. You cannot create your own or custom equalizer. You have to live with the presets provided. 3. Stereo Widening surprisingly isn't found on this phone. 4. SMS memory is limited to 300. 5. User interface response is sluggish. Though not to the extent that it will hang or refuse to respond. But sometimes with day to day usage like emergency texts or calls, its slow speed will get in the way. 6. Keypad is good...but it's not well spaced as there are no distinct touch orientation on the keys. 7. Battery cover is extremely difficult to remove most especially if you have sweaty hands and you'll end up pressing the keypad so hardly just to remove the cover. 8. Battery life is not so good. I get 2 days out of it even with just minimal usage. 9. Loudspeaker and earpiece are combined into one(typical for Samsung phones). Loudspeaker is not so loud but the sound does not distort. Advantages of 5220 over M3510: 1. Sound quality of the 5220 through headset is much more naturalistic and seems to represent better high fidelity (HiFi) sounding than this M3510. Though I cannot recommend the 5220 to bass freaks since it has a distorted bass but for the folks out there that would prefer "Natural" sound over bass, 5220 is the way to go. Plus, it has better stereo effect on it and the sound is too dynamic making the sound much more naturalistic. On the other hand, if you want strong bass, go for M3510. 2. Menu response of the 5220 is much better than the M3510. Though, the gallery (labeled "My Files") on the M3510 is faster than the 5220. But when it comes to menu scrolling, 5220 is faster. 3. 5220 has the ability to create up to 2 custom equalizers and "Stereo Widening" option is present. 4. Whenever you change SIM card, the 5220 automatically selects the configuration settings appropriate for the SIM card inserted for you to send an MMS or browse the web without digging the menus and manually changing the settings. In the M3510, you have to go to the respective settings and manually change them to the settings appropriate for the SIM card used. 5. Battery life of the 5220 is better than the M3510. I usually get 2 days on very extensive usage. Disadvantages of 5220: 1. Bass of 5220 distorts at maximum bass and/or volume settings. 2. Loudspeaker of 5220 provides unpleasantly distorted sound and "Treble" is much more pronounced than the voices and bass. 3. Camera of 5220 is no good at all. 4. Display of 5220 is not so bright and it has a narrow viewing angle. Final Note: M3510 is a good phone and has a decent sound quality. Just make sure that your audio files have a bit rate of at least 128 kbps (192 - 320 kbps recommended). Because lower than 128 kbps, the quality of sound will sound like mono and not stereo. As of now, these are the things that I have observed. I'm hoping that I have helped. I'll keep you guys updated as soon as I discover more PRO's and CON's of this phone. =)

the motion control is quite pointless. pressing music function keys are much better than motion control (motion control almost not working). and for the tapping to play/pause, you have to tap so hard (almost sending your phone flying and crashing down the table)... and i wonder why it can't play mp4 videos which can be played in my samsung e250...

I m using opera mini 4.2. Just select browser menu then go to mini.opera.com. Its quite weird for me because the wapsite cant recognize my phone type. But there is a link to download opera mini. At first i cant install it,there is a problem with my internet setting. Then i check it,but everything was fine, there was no problem with my setting. So i switch off my phone then restart it. Motion control is little tricky and need some practice over the shake direction. Here few tips: > while playing music player,put the phone on a flat hard surface. Then tap twice with finger. It will make play and pause control over the playback. > turn on motion control from settings. Hold the play/pause dedicated button over D-pad around 3 seconds and shake into desired direction and after the move done release the play/pause dedicated button instantly. It will work depending on your movement. The moves are basically left-right, right-left, & up-down U-TURN. If you hold the button and put upside down, then releasing the button.. the music will be paused. Interesting if get mastery over it.

The motion control on this phone is so dammd pointless.. you have to press and hold either the play/pause button or the center button on the directional pad and then motion to get it to work (if you already enabled motion control in the menu), but the thing is, there is a delay before it changes tracks... its so useless, you might as well just press the dammd back and forward buttons next to the play/pause to switch tracks, its faster that way because there is no delay. There are also times when you accidentally release the button while trying to motion when holding the button down and u end up pausing instead of changing tracks. A real pain in the azz. It would've made more sense if you didn't have to press any button and just motion for it work as well as losing that annoying delay before it changed tracks.

u can wach movies ( just put a 8gb mmory card) but first, convert d video/movie into 3gp using a video cnverter ( try to dwnload "prism video cnverter" on ur pc or laptop). to watch d movie full screen, press # once if you are right hande nd press # twice f ur left handed and press # 3times to display d video to its original size.

i have here, e250 same problem on charging as yours in the first place.. But actually, dont depend on the battery meter. Just turn off the phone as it charge the right way, wait 90 - 120mins and you'll see then.. Remember before you turn off the phone, set an alarm time with 2hours allowance from the time you started to charge then enable the auto power-up so that ur phone does alarm even if its turned off.. As i observed, samsung mobile has only initial charging of 1 & a-half hours only.. So its better to turn it off when charging.. Only problem is the owner gets too excited to handover the unit and probably the cause of undercharged and lowering the quality of the battery..

i just bought this phone about a week and a half ago. i am happy with the phone. it is very stylish and i got a lot very good comments about the appearance of the phone. it has superb quality music particularly when using the earphones (whether 3.5mm or S20 headset). it's comparable to ipod quality music and the earphones included produces high quality audio. the screen has very vivid colors and is almost like high definition. however, the battery life is very, very poor. one full charge only lasts less than 24 hours. and i also cannot understand the way of charging of samsung mobile phones. i normally unplug the charger since it says it's already full but when i plug it again, the charging continues. i don't know when to stop. i'm afraid that i might overcharge the battery. on the other hand, the interface is a bit slow. it has a time delay especially when the music player is on. the phone i have does not have etiquette pause and i cannot find the document viewer. other than those, i love the phone. music lovers should really avail this phone. two thumbs up for the music feature.it has shake control in applications like music player, photos, dice and others. love this phone!

I have personally bought this mob phone for 8500rs from india.now price has gone down to 6400rs.camera 2MP is a waste.its like some local china mobile type.atleast for the money spend they should make it a inbuilt stereo speakered mobile phone.it has ordinary speakers.only good thing about this mobile is it has a good headset some what like sonyerricson Walkman series type. My advice is to buy samsung beat 270 instead of M3510.you will get dual stereo loud speakers of inbuilt type with beat270. if you check guru series e1410 has all features of this m3510 mobile except camera and dnse. e1410 has dual speakers. pls compare phones before investing money blindly on a mob phone.most of all dont get cheated!!!!!!!!

I just bought it in this July. there is a few things i wanna comment Positive: - Great music phone - support java (for gaming and java application) - Nice design (almost the same as w880) - Nice Keypad (easy for texter)not d-pad - 2 way of using stereo head set (using samsung connector or using 3,5 mm jack) weird but i love it - not glossy so goodbye fingerprint - great battery life (my work require heavy duty cellphone conversation) Negative - Strange d-pad (i am a new samsung user) - average quality 2 mp camera (no led, flash, autofocus) - "miss placement" of front music keys (i repeatedly clicking play and up button of d-pad - until now i cant autosave "sent" massage - no 3g (SE W800 have it) Overall This is the best music phone in its price range class, its affordable, its music feature awesome, i recommend this phone for music lover. for other consideration SE W880 or Nokia 5130xm Never buy 5320xm its battery life are very-very disappointing

Well I have been using this phone for more than a month now and happy with the features that it provides. I purchased it at 6500Rs. The only thing it lacks is the 3g support. Has a decent camera & battery backup overall i would rate this phone at 8/10. A good music phone to purchase but it could have had different sepeakers for music & voice

i have been using this phone for over a month , the working is really good, its very light weight. The display and the camera clarity is one of its kind. There are shake control games , which is superb to experience. This a a very high end mobile with a nominal cost, i should say this, coz the features like etiqutee are too good. ( when the phone rings on the table, jus turn it up side down and the phone will stop ringing). This is very helpful during meetings. The memory slot broke from day one and they weren't willing to fix it for me. The video quality is poor even though the camera is 2 MP. The sound quality is poor. The games are fucking demos of demos, you can't even play a single level. I could've bought better phones with same price range. Also it looked old from day one. I expect it to die withing 3 months.

If you accept gameloft java game via bluetooth from your friend, it is piracy. well, i would say that this phone is so nice..especially the mp3 and camera..though its slow when you are constructing your message while using your mp3..its battery life is so good..mine is good for almost 2 days..especially when its battery is only one bar and i want to charge my phone, its so hard for me to empty the battery of this phone..:).. it has nice themes though it has only 3 limited themes.good keypads.fast browsing.i am using my phone in checking my emails..i guess you should buy this nice and good quality of Samsung M3510.. all in all, i love this phone :) no regrets in choosing this phone than Nokia.. :)) peace. :)

I got this phone last january 28, 2009. and I must say I'm very pleased with this phone. the design is very cute and quite appealing. about the features. It's very easy to make a playlist. and very easy to use the web browser( well for my phone subscriber not sure for the others) and very easy to download java games. about recording my calls i dont seem to have a problem with it.. all my recorder calls are very clear. downside batt life is quite short so I always have an extra batt in hand , you can only have 3 themes and there's no screensaver.. but over all I like this phone and much better than the nokia 5310-- ( in my opinion though - because my friend have it and we compared it and yeah samsung is way better) lol

I don't have this phone, but I just read user manual. It says nothing about the record of conversation... Are U sure it has record option during the call? Manual tells only about voice memo from the menu.

Yes, you can... Just go to Settings->Phone Profiles... Select a profile, then go to the 2nd tab (New Messages)... Then, change "Message alert tone" to the tone you want... You can use mp3 or any of the supported sound formats... Just remember that the phone will only play the first 10 seconds of the song...

But, if what you're concerned is is watching video clips in fullscreen mode, the installed player can actually play in fullscreen mode. Just press the '#' key while a video is playing. First press of the key and you are into fullscreen for right-handed people. Second press and it switches to full screen for left-handed people. Third press takes you back to the normal view.

It's my first Samsung phone and the most expensive phone I've bought (I don't have the money to buy expensive phones even if I'd want to). I'm quite satisfied with my phone. It has most of what I want/need, especially the music player since I'm a music lover. I mostly love it for its stylish simplicity. Here are the good and not-so-good stuff I find in the phone: Good: - slim, simple yet stylish design - materials used seem to be of good quality - has music player (of course!) - fm radio (for when I get bored with my music collection) - 3.5mm headphone jack! - support for album info for the music player - i love the vibrant display. The resolution is very nice. - good sound (for me) in both playing music and in calls. In fact, earpiece volume is a bit too loud for me. So, I usually use min setting when making/taking calls in quiet areas. Loudspeaker is really loud during calls. - 2MP camera is OK for me. Pictures taken in daylight/bright surroundings seem good (for me, better than some of the nokia camera phones i've tried) - i like the themes and the menu transition effects - document viewer is a nice extra - accelerometer works nice for browsing photos. Just tilt the phone to move back/next - compared to my old phone, this phone has better reception. In my apartment, network signal is a bit weak, but, I still get decent connection with this phone (compared to my previous phone). - not Nokia. =p sorry. Not that I hate Nokia. It's just that Nokia is a bit too... "mainstream" for me. I like to be a bit different from the crowd. Not-so-good: - back is prone to fingerprints and smudges. (and so is the front. But hey, I've never had a phone that didn't have this problem.) - battery life is not so good. My phone easilly gets drained in two days with not-so-heavy usage. When I use it as music player, I'd usually have to recharge in less than two days. - bad picture quality with dark places - video recording not so good. Videos appear... "blocky" and videos recorded in not-so-bright places are trash (mostly just shadows and outlines). But, then again, this is a music phone! - no option for installing themes... UI gets boring at times - dedicated music keys could have been placed somewhere else. I sometimes accidentally press the "play/pause" key when I intend to press the "up" navi key. - a bit difficult to compose text messages since input seems slow sometimes plus keypad is cramped. I sometimes accidentally press the "end" button when I'd try to press "3". Pressing the end button more than once will exit the editor and so you'll lose the message you composed. - display gets a bit hard to read under the sun All in all, I'm still quite pleased with this phone. There is one thing, though, that I find useless. It's the accelerometer for music control. You have to press and hold the "play/pause" key while moving your hand to change or play/pause music. Just pressing the back/forward keys is simpler to do to change music. Just pressing the play/pause key is simpler to do to play/pause music. It would have made more sense if motion control is active even with the keypad locked. Then you could just then press the play/pause key and twitch your wrist for music control - you won't have to unlock the keypad. But, this is not the case.

m3510! i have one of them! it can read office and pdf files but it can't copy/paste anything! instaling JAD games is limited to 400kb and playing games and listening to music and exchanging data by bluetooth at a same time isn'n possible.

In my opinion it is very very good telephone. If you know how to use each simple control, you will be very satisfied. The accelerometer works just great, the display has cool colors and the picture looks smooth, the sound is also fine (no trash in background), small functions that are pretty helpful, 50MB of built-in memory + Micro SD up to 8GB, it's slim and pretty small, so you can have it even in tight pants, additional buttons. Day and night options for highlighting the keyboard, the camera has good quality, pictures look fresh and they are clear. Transition effects in menus and the dimmer under small menus is not some sort of checkered background, but new palette of darker colors. The shading look just awesome. And another great thing is, that it is easy to connect it via USB to the PC and upload your thing onto it with rather good transfer speed. Battery is also good. If you are using it just to send an SMS or call, it will last you for 3-4 days if you play some music, play with it, than 2 day about. But it charges really quickly (1,5-2 hours). So I recommend this phone, because I was not sure about Samsung, but this one is just OK.

I own both 5310 and 3510.. I would recommend 3510 as it provides better grip, better battery backup, and more rough built to handle a fall on floor.. The keypad is very nice.. Camera is also very decent.. Interface is cool.. Only disadvantage while playing music phone becomes slow spl in texting.. One negative point no themes supported.. :(

UNFORTUNATELY, I BOUGHT THIS PHONE YESTERDAY since my SE C702i was felt down from floor 25 (#$%@@%&#$%!)so i need temporary phone until my paycheck to buy that again, and as my thought, shake n control was suck!!!! and the 2nd disappointed thing is the memory for java games ONLY 4 MB!!!!!!!!!! i had to deleted some of demo games.... this is my short opinion about the phone: Thins that i like from this phone are: - slim design and nice material of this phone - display was bright and vivid, nice too - menu has 3 (actually 2 different layout, the onely change color) nice themes - animation was fast enough - the sound was superb and especially if you hear it from stereo headset like Philips or Sony..... - camera not too good, only 2 Mpix but the image is good enough to print them in paper. - Mine was black and has gold list and its looked nice and not too eye catching. - support Java MID 2.0 include Opera Mini v4.2 - Music Player is nice tough..... and it has 3 themes too, i like themes number 3 - CHEAP!!!!!!! Things that i didn't like from this phone are: - Memory for Java only 4Mbs - No flash, no autofocus. no makro, video only 176x144 - shake is suck but better that nothing - will sell it one week after i buy C 702i again, and the sell price will decrease hall of new price (!@#$!@$#!#$)

this phone is not totally shake control if u have to push the middle button!!! this like SE w910, you have to push the button first then hold it while you shake it...... that's the minor that samsung need to repair as their homework......

To kamran: My previous phone before using Samsung M3510 is an old SE K508i, so I can't compare the screen quality with any other phones. I would say that if your picture is a high resolution picture, it will appear nice on the screen, since the picture taken using the phone camera is so-so only (even at the highest resolution and quality). I haven't tried playing any video on the phone, but in my opinion, the screen is quite small, so I wouldn't want to watch video using this phone. The video quality taken using the phone camera is not good though.

Just bought this phone two days ago. Overall, I am quite satisfied with it. I heard some people complain about the three music button located at the top of the 4-way navigation button. To me, this is no problem at all. I never accidentally pressed on the 'play' button when I wanted to press on the up button. However, it might be a problem for a person with huge fingers. I am very satisfied with the sound quality from the phone speaker and while using earphone. There are several minor things that I dislike. 1. While in the idle menu, if you press the center button of the 4-way navigational button, it will connect to the internet, and this shortcut can neither be change nor disable. 2. The 3.5 mm headphone jack is located on top of the phone. I would prefer it to be at the bottom for convenience purpose when I take out the phone from my pocket. 3. During a call, seems like if you turn the volume too high, a lot of noise appear. Its as if you are listening to a bad recording. 4. The casing of the phone is not slippery, but it is very hard to open the battery cover. I need to press very hard and push out. I am afraid I might bend the phone if I keep doing this. I really wouldn't recommend this phone if you are the type who often switch your phone SIM card or the micro SD card. Although for transferring files to/from the micro SD, there is a cable provided, so you don't need to open the battery cover. 5. The shake control for skipping the song is not user-friendly. You need to press and hold the play button at the middle of the phone while shake the phone left or right. For me, its not very convenient to shake the phone with my thumb pressing the button at that position. It hurts my palm a little, and it seems the phone might fly away from my grasp. I would say don't expect much from the shake control.

Samsung is just loitering us,and the phone is slow too,so any one who is reading this remember that THIS phone carrying slow processor bad message memory and highly priced so think again before buying,and motororla rokr z6 is best in this price atleast it gives u high quality camera and sound quality like ipod and 625 mhz processor AND FAR FAR more speedy than samsung. I've been using this device for a day (not mine) and I'm a bit confused about it's music player. When I enter it's music player, it starts to scan and add all the mp3's that are stored on microSD. Then, it makes a list based on tags of all these mp3's. Curently I own a Samsung E590. It allows to make a playlist choosing a folder from the microSD card. M3510 wont. It can make a playlist only by adding track by track. It cant add a folder stored on microSD card. Due to the fact that not all the music that I own is tagged, M3510 gathers all these tracks in Unknow files. Is there a way to add or to organize music by stored folders, and not by tags?

Hey buddy sorry for late reply, ya it has security feature , folders are password protected and we can block sms from specific number , but cant restrict calls from specified user, its slim and attractive look, feather great no problem till now. but i cant tell you exactly about messages storage capacity, but it include 1 GB memory card. thanks

Bought this phone.. Its a pretty decent phone.. The keypad is soft and the operating system is the very much owned samsung type.. Sound output is good, specially in headphones.. Battery backup is more than a day.. The battery indicator has 5 bars.. The first two bars vanish very quickly.. The last i.e. the 5th bar stays solid for many hours of usage. The operating system feels a bit slow to use sometime.. Camera quality is good.. Best thing about the phone is its design.. The music keys are mounted above the D pad which you may press accidentally but I think one will become use to of it.. Body feels like made of rubber.. I have Nokia 5310 xpress music also.. Both phones are equally good in terms of sound.. However, Nokia has 16M TFT and a light sensor.. Shake control and etiquette good from Samsung but not much worth of use.. I will give samsung m3510 7/10 and nokia 5310 8/10
