Samsung R910 Galaxy Indulge - User Reviews

  • I've seen a lot of phones. this one is by far the worst with no close second in sight. the one reason why I stopped buying samsung products no matter how nice some of them may have been since this. this came with android that was several versions old, the only phone I've seen that lasted 2x longer when you talk on it rather than when it's just sitting around idling nothing with screen off. Just let that thought sync in. This was because LTE radio would only turn off when in call but there was no way to force it off until we came up with a hack over on the forums. Especially ironic since the promise was that we could talk and surf the web at the same time in the days of metro CDMA. And that early-gen LTE radio was what drained the battery in less than an hour. The phone would randomly freeze up, shut off even when showing full charge which then would "recalibrate" down to zero after reboot, virtually nothing would work right and there were no updates from samsung, not even bugfixes, no matter how many times each one of us unfortunate phone owners tried to contact their tech support. Oh and the phone was around $500 new either before or after tax

  • I have same issues phone keeps shutting off battery is bad. I invested in 4 new batteries but they hardly hold a day. This seals my decision to get iPhone which syncs well with my ipad.

  • This phone has given me hell from the first day I bought it. I paid $199.99 and it would shut off every time I slided open the keyboard. It would also shut off in its own often and - I hate this phone to say the least.

  • The worst value for my money. I purchased the Samaung Galaxy in February 2012. What a mistake! After 1 month I started haveing problems. It would not connect to the internet, the headphone plug did not work, drops calls, the screen freezes up, the whole phone freezes up, hard to delete aps, hard to move items to the memory card, I can go on. I thought Samsung was a reputable organization? I know now not to buy their tablet or laptops. Customer service was terrible. They could not answer my questions about the phone freezeing up. The told me to reset the phone (meaning lose all my apps and music), so I did this. It worked for a week. It still does not get on the internet nor does it connect to Wi-Fi. I got ripped off! Next time I do more research.

  • my phone worked fine for a few months then it went crazy, different screens would pop up by itself, it would cut off while i made calls my camera stopped working and I lost some of my info on my calender. So I had it replaced let's see how long the new one lasts

  • I have suffered through owning this phone for a year and half, as I paid real money for this phone. The phone drops calls, hard to add contacts, weird things happen all the time. The phone will go black, today I was trying to text, and the "s" letter would not type from the keyboard. My mother and I both bought it at the same time, same problems. Can't hear, poor signal, etc. Went and we both got new ones, no difference, HORRIBLE phone. Not sure I will ever buy another Samsung product. Used a Blackberry, and T-Mobile Sidekick as well as other brands for work. Never issues. RUN from this PHONE, WORST EVER!!!!!

  • The Pros.. Key board, large screen, easy to use, battery life is pretty good, picks up wi-fi easily, no problems surfing the web on the metropcs or wifi. LOVE the slide out THE KEYBOARD!, works well with the Travel Talk too! Cons.. GPS doesn't work consistently. Camera is slow.

  • The phone worked fine for a month then when I got a call the screen would go black. Then the screen would switch off as I put my code in. then the battery crap started. It would not hold a charge. This phone has troubles. Save your cash.

  • Well I had this phone for 6 months or so. My mother in law gave it to me. For awhile it was working great but after awhile i notices it got hot alot when i played games or went on facebook, but i thought all smartphones were like that? So then after sometime i noticed the original battery that came with the phone it was dying alot, even when I wasnt even really doing much. I literally had to charge it seemed like 10 times aday. The nxt month which was May of this year I bought a batterey that was a step up from the other battery. It was going great then and I was very happy then just recently I noticed the battery wasnt lasting as long, and just last night when it was starting to dye I tried charging it and it was tweaking out turning off turning on. Something it never did before. At first I thought it was the outlet so I used the outlet in my room did same thing, then i was getting really mad because I only had that battery less then 2 month and paid over 30 dollars plus got a higher up car charger. I took it in today and the guy basically told me that that phone gets hot alot but my phone was the first he ever felt get that hot. He said thats not good and really bad. So he told me if something was wrong with the battery or if it was the battery it would swell up? And it was normal so he said its my phone that pretty much burned up that batterey. And I was thinking about buying a secondary battery now Im thinking of just buying a new one.lol. He also said he had that phone and when he bought it it was over 400 and he was really happy with it for awhile until things like that started happening and he was so mad he went back to verizon.lol. but then didnt like how expensive his bill was so thats why he came back to metro but bought a better phone. So he pretty much recommended me to buy a new phone that those phones are great for awhile but after sometime there garbage. What do you think? I dont think what hes telling me hes lieing but is he just trying to have me buy a newer phone but at same time em I gonna be buying batteries after batteries for this damn phone? Please tell me if anyone has had samd expierence or what your thoughts are. Thank You!!

  • I get Samsung R910 Galaxy Indulge but it is lock how can i open it. please help me how i open it tell me the process?

  • Okay this is my first time posting. I can honestly say that after having this phone for 1 month i am ready to trash it. I love the capabilities but it is killing me. My cheaper Samsung from metro ran better than this. The battery overheats constantly. It stops charging because of overheating. The phone plays reindeer games, by that I mean it flickers on and off for maybe 20 minutes when I am doing absolutely nothing to it. With my work schedule I cannot run back and forth to the store cause they are not open when I am not working. Liked the phone for exactlty 2 weeks, my daughter and I both like the phone and I paid a good amount of money for it but don't believe it is worth the $399.99 I paid for it. Yes i said $399.99 per phone. Yet I caught it on sale for $299.99 each. I cannot stand it I need my phone for work and personal business and am afraid to send it in because i might get another lemon. I left T-mobile because they kept sending refurbs to my daughter that did not work and then wanted to make me pay for them after i returned them all back. Now here it is Metro is selling cheap Samsung knockoffs that may not be made by Samsung. My friend has a galaxy and she went to Samsung online and even called then and they stated they did not make her phone model. She's a T-mobile customer and all she wanted was a case for her phone. Come to find out it was a FAKE made somewhere overseas by an international company that Samsung did not authorize to use their name. I am soooo disappointed in this phone and will not be purchasing another one. I have to contact the insurance company to see if they will send me a replacement but most replacements are just refurbs so that will be a waste of time and expense. There should be a warning label stating phone battery will die after charging within 1 hour and NO I do not have backdoor items running. It takes me an hour to get to wirk and by the time I get there the phone is dead. NO I did not talk or text on it during travel. SOMEBODY HELP ME BEFORE I BLOW UP THE PHONE......

  • Good phone but battery drains quickly, hard to see screen in the sun, and there should be more memory but that aside... Its a quality smartphone for a reasonable price. Also... Metro service is not the best, depending on where you live. All in all... Its not a bad phone, im satisfied.

  • When I got this phone on April 16, this was a great phone to use. There 4G speeds were faster than Sprint and T-Mobile's 4G network. Even though this is the Samsung Epic's little brother, The Samsung Galaxy Indulge is the best phone on MetroPCS.

  • Will be that true? Many people like to lie. Almost always say its really good but its only to get sellers and really everything is lie.

  • And one more thing..even the processor of this phone is faster then tmobile samsung galaxy s 4g.im saying it from the persnel experiance....

  • hello....i purchase this phone yesterday from metro pcs store...and this phone works awesome...friend of mine have galaxy s from tmobile and i was comparing with his phone.and this was killing galaxy s.i mean metro pcs 4g is faster then t mobile 4g..i mean its really hard to believe but thats true.......so if u thinking to buy this phone go ahead u wont be disoppinted.....good luck

  • hey plz tell me shall i buy this phone is it gud???

  • never

  • Returning Phone to Metro tommarrow [Day 7]. Battery overheats. Charge doesn't last. Analysis of power use says display eats up 74% of the battery power. Doesn't really make sence, the screen has a power save feature. Calls break up: incoming and outgoing. Voice mail can't be understood breaks up. Touch screen does not allways respond to touch. I could go on and on. I am in hopes that I just got a Lemon or the Battery isn't good. Today The phone was off the charger for approx. 7 hours [not in use]. There is a feature on the phone that said the last time the phone was plugged in was 12.5 hours. Quite a difference.
