I have been using this phone from 2010 till now, this year is my fifth year using it, and it's still going strong.. As I have said.. I use this as a PHONE only, make calls and SMS, nothing else. I don't need any apps or games on it as it's small. For years, it have never die on me before nor did I need to go to any mobile store to fix it. Conclusion, it's a very good PHONE, it's not for your entertainment (I use iPad for that) I have never spent a cent to fix it after I have brought it. I have also been using the same battery that come with it as well for 4+ years The battery can last me more than a week, even when it left 1 life, it can last me two days. Overall I Love it and hope I never have to change it :)

Whoever reading this note that its a 4 years old phone without any customization or apps as its bada OS. However you can download some apps such as whatsapp via samsung apps which is pre installed. You will need samsung id though. Facebook app is built in. I have been using this phone for years and these are pros and cons if i leave aside androids. Pros: 1.Email/facebook/twitter built in. 2.Decent speaker and choice of 5.1 Channel output through headphones 3.WiFi connectivity besides GPRS/EDGE 4.Nice keypad, decent touch. 5.Compact and nice to have as a backup device. 6.Good battery back up 7.Swipe on contacts to call or message 8.Charges via micro usb Cons 1.Camera lacks auto focus 2.Low pixel density phone is no more in production but its quiet a fancy device. I am using it alongside Xperia Z1 compact as backup and it has never had a single malfunction. Do not go for this as main phone. Now a days androids are much cheaper.And then again I am a Sony Xperia Fan so you know what I prefer.

You can use Opera Mini for better internet experience its better then the default browser defintly, yes the battry haven't been one of the best but also not poor, touch is good you dont feel compromised with it,Sonund is good however i had a better expectaion with regards to the video recording of the camera,for photos its cool ,but without flash off course.All in all a good phone but with some additional installed apps.

I have been using this phone for close to a year now and i can assure you that this phone is the best that i have used till now. With amazing battery backup , its a must buy if you are on the move. Yes , the application range is not as much as an android however , i don't need apps on my mobile. I require it to make calls, send texts , be able to login to social networking sites , surf the internet and listen to music/watching videos . It has worked out pretty well for me. I bought the Samsung Wave 533 for about S$250 (in Singapore) and am getting used to the Bada OS. As a recent OS, the Bada naturally do not have that many apps available than download compare to Android. However, the screen resolution and the camera of this phone is not too bad. The keypad is a bonus as it is intutive and feels solid. Recemmended for heavy texting but those who are into apps may wish to consider phones of other OS (like android).

this phone at this price is really perfect. it has bugs as some spcified, but this phone is made for business people. on stand-by it lasts up to 18.1 days and 14 hours talking.. that's absolutely briliant. Moreover, it has qwerty keyboard, average screen size and average camera, Wi-Fi. Business people do not need rockets. It is just perfect, at least for me :)

Yes, you can save on your memory card, please follow the steps below: Open setting Select Memory Select Default memory next, you will get the check boxes for different category as save your camera memory, save your radio memory, save your Bluetooth memory etc, save your wap download memory.

This is not a smart phone. better go for an android phone. Very slow processing compared to any smart phone. video quality is too bad, no flash support, no 3g,Battery backup also poor. i bought this phone about 9 weeks ago loved it but samsung isnt supporting it it have great touch screen even if it has low resolution biggest problem is 312 mhz processor thats wont let you enjoy the new bada os and another problem is you cant arrange java apps but it have got great wifi anyway its still good phone for its price but i guess there is a great phone in the galaxy series with almost the same price i guess if you use your phone for simple uses like just calling or facebook it will be great but if you are a game addict (like me :)) i think the galaxy series will be great for since bada games arent so popular like androd games

SMS/Apps/Java Games/ everything can be stored on Memory Card, this is important since there isn't a lot of space on the phone memory. the free Samsung Apps donot show the true potential of the Accelerometer... the WiFi was very smooth after the memory usage was changed from phone to memory card. the touch is very good with the capacitative screen, not as great as the iPhone, but then again, the price of iPhone is 4 times that of Wave 533. the GPS i tried didn't always give a hundred percent accurate result, it was off by 320m as notified on the screen. reading/forwarding SMSs is very easy and conversation list is a great way to organize. but if/when the conversation list goes over 200, reading old messages can cause the phone to go slow. all in all very good value for money...

great value for money, brought from market in karachi for 16,100 with 2 gb card. the battery holds up good for 2 days while using for call ans playing games. Games could be for Bada OS or Java. Games should be installed on memory disk otherwise the disk space runs out pretty quickly. Kies is the PC suite software, you can enter records while mobile is connected to the PC. Video/Music player is nice and simple, pictures in bright daylight are good and those taken indoors require the correct settings. All in all a good phone, capacitative screen is very smooth and the all around response is very good

after using this 2 phone... i think galaxy is more like smart phone (windows), for wave i think it's more like advanced java phone (simple smartphone). it's true that wave is more easy to handle than android, but android it's not so hard to handle either (except u like to tweak this & that...). for quality of music, i prefer wave (cause galaxy 5 have some noise when hearing through earphone). don't forget that galaxy 5 have a smaller screen, so if u have a big thumb u should think twice if u like texting much... sorry for my bad language ^_^v

There are some points about battery of this phone: First of all this is a 1200mah battery. So dont compare it with 800 or 900mah battery and say my other phone takes 2 hours to charge why this phone takes 3.5 hours. Second There is an mistake that i did which i think most people using this phone do during charging. The problem is when the phone is on and at the same time it is charging, after some time you see that the battery icon is showing full and you may assume that it is really full.it is not!! if you turn off the phone, you will see that still there is about 25percent remaining to be full. After i noticed about this mistake, I've got at least one day more battery usage.

It will not support all jar files.but it supports almost every software provided by the owner,such as from operamini's site you can download it.you will get boltz from its home site.touch screen is really great..its better than corby and all lg phones,we can also compare it with i phone..it will not support stylus ..only we can touch the screen with finger. 5.1 channel effect is available when earphone is connected.I can't explain the sound quality in that mode..its just superbb...

wave 533 is a cool one..its better than corby..touch screen is also better than corby..it supports some java application..but you can find lots of applications in samsung application store..and lots of free applications are there..battery lasts for 4 hours for internet usage(wifi),otherwise it will last for 3 days (normal use)and it has blutooth 3,and a good camera,with lots of effects.We can also use it as office phone..it support almost all types of files

the sound quality is good. its actually better than some cheap nokia in the same range, in that you can tell the difference in the sound settings(equaliser) although the earphones could be better. the battery seems to have some issues... the qwerty key pad is fantastic, and for its price i would give it a general rating of a very strong 7 (7.9)

Using it from last 3 days. Very nice phone in this price range. The closest competitor Galaxy 3 is 3.5 grands costlier and full touch. This one has got Qwerty keyboard (I am not too inclined towards touch). Being Java enabled, it supports most of the commonly used apps. Just installed Google maps on it, working absolutely fine. Good value for money.

Awesome phone in this price range. I have been using this phone for past 10 days. great sound quality both in speaker and headphones(5.1 channel surround sound option in headphones which is awesome). Looks are fabulous, camera quality is great,touch quality is superb(i.e capacitive touch),internet access is also nice the only disappointment is the unavailability of flash and 3G. But it's a value for money set. Go for it.

the new WAVE 533 is very good phone in its range.. it has a very good screen, picture clearity, camera is also gud but it doesnt have auto focus.. the main drawback of this phone is its speed!! its really slow.. even when u receive a call it takes 1-2 seconds.. frustating.. about the battery backup.. u should turn off the gprs setting and the wifi if not needed. i think the phone keep broadcasting signal of gprs and wifi autmatically by default.. thats why the baterry won't last fo a day

I have this phone for several month and I can say that it's worth of buying, touch works fine, wi-fi is working properly, keyboard is very sturdy. The weakest part of the phone is the memory but I bought additional 8gb for it so now it's ok. Camera works good, it has a good quality for a 3.15 mp but absence of led/flash is a setback. For a modest price it is a good phone.

the screen is very responsive phone is wirth to buy for 9000 it is such agreat phone for 9000 2days eralier only i bought it the battery life is awesome around 2-3 days,with playing music in headphones and wifi for 1-2hours camera is not bad but nice pictures in good light conditions keypad is also very convenient to type and the BADA os is very nice and very easy to use

some people are saying its name should not be wave, as it is nowhere close to wave.... so i make a point as it runs on bada os , bada means wave in korean language. so the name is perfect.. our expectations are more as we have seen a super horsepower machine as wave.. so please at same time compare price also.;.. not just hardware.

Ya wave533 is good.. But it'll operate some what slow while playing music.. No zoom in camera, no 3G... Plastic bodies are magnets to fingerprints.. But other than that every thing is awesome.. I wished that it had Android OS rather than having Bada..

i am very sorry...but monte is far behani this phone...only advantage of monte is that the monte comes with 3g....otherwise monte is having older touchwiz,older bluetooth version...sounding is pretty much similar of both mobiles...monte comes wid 3.0 inch screen while this cums with 3.2...also having better video quality...better design...and its cheaper than monte...buy this 1 if u can...

Hey. I am going to buy this phone but i have a few questions and a few opinions. Questions: 1. Does this phone hav bluetooth v2.1 or v3.0? 2. Does this phone support Java? 3. Does the Bada market hav any good or useful apps? 3. How is the camera? Opinions: 1. The Bada OS is relatively new in the market and that is why you cannot expect it to be as good as Android os Symbian so please do not be too harsh on the OS. Also, I hav used a few Samsung phones and they give best value for money and Samsung will never disappoint their fans. 2. This phone is relatively low-cost also, it is much better than most other phones such as the LG Optimus which also costs more and according to the review of the phone on this site it works on the older version of the Android OS (i.e. v1.6). 3. The TouchWiz UI is simply amazing and i think that it is this feature that makes this phone better than the rest at the given price range. 3. The battery back-up is also good so i guess u cant complain about that either. 4. The only visible con is that it does not support 3G. Peace. 2.

This is the best cell i have.I am using N97 mini & C3 but this is super handset.Battery backup and music is pretty good.Screen sharpness & quality is awesome for the price.Overall i think its better than N97 and C3.Only drawback not having 3G.But in India 3G network is not available.I give 9.5 scores out of 10.SAMSUNG BEST.

It is available in Karachi/Pakistan. And I am the one who buy first as a running customer. It price is good. It is low budget phone. I am quite satisfied with wave 533. About BADA OS1.1 is also very interesting but it has lot to do in OS and Applications. I hope soon update OS1.2 available for this device also.

NO 3G, Difficult to install google maps, Nimbuzz and Ebuddy. only the phone design is good because of big touch screen and qwert keypad. Rest it is Not all that great, forget about 70000 Apps, it's hard to find the top Apps that I mentioned above. don't buy just because it is cheap.

this one has a bigger screen which always helps.the wave has bada os and the corby doesnt have any os at all.bada gives you the option to obtain apps from the app store of which many are free although the corby has the advantage of a slightly bigger internal memory and has 3g with an hsdpa of 7.2mbps.so if you need 3g then the corby pro wins.

Ok. You can keep the specs of this phone the same - as an Economy model. But can we have A WAVE 3 PRO, with he addition of a 5mpx Autofocus camera with Dual LED flash, 30 fps video recording, add 3G with a good secondary camera and at least a 1500 mAh battery - additional to this model. And price it a bit costlier than this model. I am sure SAMSUNG can work out this!

I am dissapointed! I thought the Wave pro will be much better than this! The screen size is NOT big, the internal storage isn't enough. The camera quality is just 3.2 MP, without flash. :(

Good low end phone to sell to the masses. Will help the bada os get into different markets but I agree that it shouldn't be named wave as it isn't even close.
