no need to modify any battery. what is wrong with you guys. you never heard of ebay or aliexpress ? if you can not find something in your country or city, then buy it from internet, even internationally. You only need a credit/debit card. just type s8000 or s8003 or anything else on ebay or aliexpress and you will find batteries and many many other accessories

There used to be a Skype Version called Skype lite which was based on Java and which worked on Jet S8000. It was discontinued in Mid 2012 and is no longer available and those who used it are now transferred to a site telling them just this. Hence there is no Skype any more for the Samsung Jet S8000, which I regret, as I am alos using this mobile.

Hav this phone for 2/3 years, its fantastic.Pixel density and quality rivals even the latest iphone. It depended on you keeping your software up to date. Mine has facebook, twitter,bbc iplayer on which its one of the rare phones to stream live tv over 3g.The camera is great and the video as seen on the phone rivals 720p. They just. didn't support it.If it had android on it you still could not buy a finer phone for itd size without going to the original wave phone, and that chassis, chrome on black with that screen its just pure class. For those experiencing lag, hunt on darkforest website for the right code for your software, and keep the proccessor running at a constant 800mhz. it costs alittle battery but it stops most all lag.Enjoy your phones, and who knows, maybe someday somebodymight reach a person in samsung with a conscience, and they'll release the source code for the jet to an android developer and we'd have nearly the perfect little phone.

I had this phone for about 3 years. So that makes me a user and i can share my experience with this phone. but first i wanna mention that this phone is not in production anymore and you cant buy this phone now. When i purchased this phone it costed me Rs 17250/- or about 345 US dollars. Samsung advertised the phone as "Smarter than smartphone". This is what i call a perfect example of hyping and product which is not capable of doing anything smart at all. The touch screen is resistive and after using it for 6 months the screen becomes "Hit Screen". which means you have to practically hit the screen with your nails for making it work. There is no support for any kind of useful app. Samsung didnt care to give the bare minimum support for app and social networking. The browser isnt good. There is no gtalk or fb or twitter integration (which you will find these days in rs 6000/- phones). The AMOLED screen is just simply useless. Even the pre-installed apps hangs and lags while using. The processor is a 800 mhz qualcomm processor but it cant manage to run Opera mini, photo gallery and some other app. And now we get cool windows phone for 345 dollars. I personally feel cheated by samsung. just because they promised this to be a smartphone and now this phone really sucks. for 17500/- you expect a capacitive touch screen. even my friends make fun of this phone. the only thing useful about this phone is the GPS integration with the Gmap. The 3G speed is only 3.6 mbps. Im not comparing this phone with android or iphones. but for 17500/- all you get is 5mp camera and amoled display... everything else is pretty useless and redundant.

well...i have the experiment of having this phone...for my advice i dont recommend at all...after using it for 7 or 8 monthes the touch screen had a big problem...there was a movement in the touch screen whenever u press for something u find ur press went up for 2 cm , and i tried to caliprate for many times but no way...this is a big fault in manufacture built in old technology...so everybody take care...finally i got rid of that phone and lost my money

I am agree with you Razaul. I have some issues with my touch screen. Only the right of it is functionnal. For to solve it, I update my FW (donwload by Samsung New PC Studio and after I do a hard reset in used this code : *2767*3855#. But before this action, save your data of your mobile and remove your SDcard, because, this code is removed all data in your phone.

Guys, have you experienced an issue where the earpiece isn't working? This has been ongoing for a while then I brought it to a cellphone store and repair shop. I think there are windows left in your task manager that accessed one of your locked applications. You should close it first because Jet offers multitasking capabilities.

pairing means , you turn ON(activate) your phone bluetooth function and allow it find/discover another device with bluetooth function switched ON too. allow the two device connect each other. like for example a laptop with bluetooth or another phone with bluetooth capability. when two devices connects, you can use the bluetooth function to transfer data from device to another, example, pictures, music, etc. read your phone manuals and other device manual. or seel assistance nearby that will teach you in actual demonstration.

i had that problem too. yesterday when i went to the create message, and when typing the letters, wrong letter appears. i have to turn it off and take off the battery and put it back again. and when i try to type message again it works. maybe this is the problem of this phone.

I've experience problems with signal strength since the day I received the phone. My Dad and me are both on Orange, he has a nokia 5800, he has a full signal bar, I never do. Not sure if it's just my phone or have other people had a similar problem.

Dont put it in your pocket to qvoid problems. Hehehe. Kidding aside. I think your main problem in that scenario would be... Is the weather up there too hot or is your pocket is too humid or too tight. Phones do act up in too hot conditions or subjected to mishandlings. Hope it helps

No, Jet isn't a smart phone. It's a feature phone , but as it has a very good hardware for such device ,that allows to be ported Android 2.1 (Eclair).This is the Jetdroid project and it isn't a special Android version for this phone. As I know the project is unfinished and may stay that way,because it had been developed by enthusiasts not by Samsung. Otherwise, Jet got just 128mb RAM and that's not enough to enjoy all Android OS functionality. Still it's a very good feature device and I am satisfied with it.

OK,Jet isn't flawless,but we're talking about a phone almost two years old now.Nowadays we got Android 2.3, super Amoled plus displays,dual-core processors,NFC and etc,but how do you think- would anybody remember all these extras in 2013.I think answer is hardly-anybody, because they will be so outdated and there will be so many superior phones excelling today's flagships.So don't be such critical to good old Jet.It's a very good phone with nice features ,but belongs to the past.

The screen seems to have problems when used in hot climates and it does not seem to be limited to this model. My S8000 is completely unusable. Won't be buying a Samsung touch screen again, unless I move to the Antarctica.

from i few days i was listening to the radio, after finishing i removed the headphone's jack from the socket but it something went wrong as i lost all the sound features of the phone, and the phone is still acting as if the headphone is still connected, it happened before but i would connect the headphone again and remove it and it worked well until this time. i tried shutting down the phone and powering it again but the phone still acts as if the headphone is still connected and asks how to treat the accessory. i use my own sony headphone as it's better than the one that samsung ships. please help me.

What I miss about my Sony Ericsson's was call filtering was built in. I have searched for a java app that will perform this function, to automatically reject withheld numbers if activated and certain numbers it does that busy signal without you having to pick up. I did find an app for this but only for my then NOKIA SMART PHONE, SYMBIAN. I would dearly like this for Samsung Jet I managed to get 2 amazing apps for the jet the first is a scientific calculator with built in converter which has 4 memories ! before nil . day counter already inbuilt but uses current date as one variable but this allows 2 separate dates to be entered thhnks

its a nice set speacially the camera,display, design, find music option. but charge insufficiency is great problem. is it a touch screen or press screen? coz much pressure is to give to launch option moreover its touch functions are less sensative. music player has not much option to select desire track. internet browser has so less page options. photo browser is not so much useful as it should be. overall it is a convenient smart set.

My camera does not have the quality i hope. I had a samsung u900 soul and it´s camera is sensational, really really impressive, one of the best in the market i can tell. 1. I noticed that my samsung jet always resets the time back to it's original whenever the phone RESTARTS. Take note, JUST RESTART but i didnt remove the battery or sim. Example, im setting my timezone in GMT and the real time it 4:00PM. I will manually make it 20 minutes in advance so that I wont be late for work so it would become 4:20PM GMT. But, when it restarted, it would go back tot he real GMT time of 4:00PM. Question: is this normal for samsung jet s800? are yuo also experiencing this? if not, do you know any fix for this? 2. Whenever I use flash in taking picture, the flask wont synchronize witht he camera. Example, it usually flashed twice but the camera I guess would capture the image in between those 2 flahes so the image is still dark. There are only several instances that it would only make one flash and synchronized with the capture. Question: is this normal? why is it not making 2 flashes all the time if thats how it should be or just 1 flash if it should be the right one. I mean this is intermittent, sometimes one flash and most of the time 2 flashes. If this is normal, do you nwo any workaround to make sure that it will capture with the flash on? any fix for this?

Flat your jet screen upward side, and then rotate it till the red line matches with 0. The direction of the red line shows the direction of NORTH side. regarding with my prob about jet's battery life.. its already fixed.. it now lasts for 3 days with excessive usage (texting all day, phone call for almost an hour, internet surfing through wifi for 2-3 hours and soundtripping).. what i did are: 1. 5x cycle drain and charge technique 2. on the 5th cycle, i drained my batt and charged it through my laptop (the battery last for 2 days) 3. and lastly i charge my jet without draining its battery.. lefting only 1 bar.. thats all..

Try to turn off first the privacy lock for your files then turn it on again, I think it will prompt you again to input password..I have also experience it previously but it occurs rarely... I think this happens because:You open your Messages and inputted your password, then you press the cube(menu) button and you open your My Files that's why it doesn't request again your password. The other thing is..maybe it's a bug and the solution is to restart the phone..o.O

I bought my jet from mega exchnge.. and i had a problem with it.. i activated privacy lock in messages and my files, so that no one can access them..at first when i attempt to enter messages it will prompt password menu.. but after several hours the menu wont prompt anymore and i can easily access messages without typing the password.. the password menu will prompt again after restarting my phone. what should i do? pls help

My Samsung S8000 Jet has just died! I am having a nightmare trying to get answers to this. Contractors Orange say that there are no problems with this phone but when I looked online other people have had this happen to them too. I took the phone to the Orange shop (no joy) phoned Orange twice and Samsung twice who now have asked me take the phone to the Car Phone Warehouse as it is a SOFTWARE PROBLEM so be aware of this if you are indeed using this phone. hi rocky, naku same problem here BEFORE. take note the word before. hehe. have you read any blog about this phone before?? sabi kasi nagkaron ng problem ang samsung sa pagpoproduce ng batteries for this phone. ang sabi may mga batch na di maganda ang yari. kumbaga madaling malowbat. pagkamalas e isa tayo sa mga nakakuha. ang ginawa ko nalang pinapalitan ko yung battery ko sa pinagbilan ko so many times hanggang sa makakuha ako ng maganda ang buhay na battery. Ngayon umaabot lang naman ng 7 days ang bat ko. heheeh.. di ko kasi ginagamit ^^

I don't have the same problem coz it's probably not a problem. I am a 11-month user of this phone and i encounter the same thing for about hundred times I think. This causes when you view your photos on photo browser right? the phone must hold horizontally coz the it required you to do so. When you hold the phone not properly, well like you hold it a little bit diagonal, the photos will really slide. Jet is almost smartphone that's why when you do handle it diagonally, it reads that you want to skip several photos. It is more likely falling down. So the solution is, hold it properly. ^^ But this only applies if the phone is functioning well. I am not that professional when it comes to technical problems and the like so if my suggestion didn't work or you're still experiencing the same thing after doing my advice, then your phone is having some serious problem ^^ I hope this help^^

I finally have my jet and it´s better than i thought it would be. Love it. Everything is easy to use. The battery life: with heavy/medium usage last for two days. I think with normal use lasts 3/4 days. But i will ask for a recent SIM sim card for it, because mine is too old and consumes extra battery life, and the battery life will be much better. About 7 days with normal use. Buy it!!!

Have been using this phone for 13 months now, I have to say its a value for money phone- Pros are- 1)nice display 2)Surprisingly good camera 3)the video player is the best thing as it supports divx and xvid format and can play videos upto 480p 4)Audio quality is nice 5)Touch sensitivity is on par 6)Net browsing experience is good using opera mini... Cons are- 1)no good softwares as it runs touch wiz2 2)i dint know about others but i faced problems with the phone after 4 months, it hanged due to moisture but now its working fine.... i am loving my samsung jet. i bought it primarily for its ability to play divx videos. add to that the quality of amoled display and its low price (when i bought it at mega exchange for 9.9k), then i have a winner for my needs. sure it has its misgivings (battery life - 3 hours of video only on full charge, no popular os, etc), but it still counts as one of the best for what i could afford :) if budget is of no conxern though, feature wise, id rather have the samsung wave.

About the battery problem, here in portugal we can go to the store, (TMN, Vodafone, etc) and "ask" for/order a new SIM card, wich cost 10�, and the battery life will be much much better. I can tell by some friends and some forums where i ask for this question. Try it and reply.

Yep thats the screen protector...hehe..xD yeah the touch screen digitizer has been damage cause of the screen film (screen protector), bumili kasi ako ng screen guard, and i thought that it was good, but i wonder why the screen film was thick... yun pala mirror type yung screen film... which is not suitable to resistive screen like the samsung jet... dapat clear "thin" screen film dapat... i just red it from a forum site a week ago...and I'm so stupid dapat nun palang aware na ko sa mga screen guards...well its my fault... T_T , haist... tomorrow ill go to Samsung Store to fix my Jet... I hope the warranty will be valid due to my reason... T_T

Well, Samsung Jet is definitely good, but the battery is quite bad,it didn't last long, only takes 18 hours (based on my observation) , but be careful in choosing brand of screen protector, my jet's touch screen digitizer got crash cause of the screen guard, and need to bring it on Samsung store to fix it, but I'm bothered if the phone parts is included in the warranty... T_T (sorry for my english)

hi carl ,, if i were u,, magiipon pa ko for an android phone instead,, limitado lang kasi pwede mong magawa dito sa phone na to, the reason why i bought this phone is bec of the cpu speed ,, but still it freezes , restarts with just 2 apps running,, battery life sucks , done some reseach , ive found that cpu is not utilized fully and yet the battery wont last a day , in terms of the camera ,, the LED flash is blinding , its too bright ,, images are unrecognizable,esp when taking picture of yourself in terms of the music player ,, after renaming newly downloaded mp3 files ,, still they will remain with their orginal name upon download ,, so when creating playlist its very difficult recognizing ,, my sister has a nokia phone with 5mp as well ,, comparing them, samsung taken images have noises when zooming in, nokia wins for clarity ,,

So far,wala pa naman problem sa phone..I tested wifi and bluetooth,camera,video recording,etc and its okay. I think orig nman and I'm not sure if sa spain siya ginawa kasi telefonica sya e..made by samsung naman ang nklagay,kaya sa spain nga siguro.Complete package naman xa,bili ka na lang agad kasi baka malapit na mag-end promo nila,14k ata kasi orig. price nun,e 9k+ na lang sa promo nila.

If you need to ask the question then it still has some value. But to answer your question precisely the phone needs to have a off network operating upgrade to Android to last the test of time. The current Samsung OS is nice and has advance features but Android is superior.

Much better then 5800, trust me I had 5800 and 8003, every things are better, only speaker, 5800 has stereo speaker while 8003 mono and 5800's phone book better. My opinion stereo speaker is no meaning since the distance is to close so you will not enjoy the stereo system from speaker handphone.

No you dont need.If you want good touchscreen,AMOLED display,high resolution,Divx and Xvid player,good camera.Go for Samsung S8000.But Nokia 5800 have symbian,lot of apps and you can install garmin,and Nokia 5800 have realy good speakers.Samsung s8000 speaker is also good.You can install Android on Samsung S8000.Android is 10000x times better then symbian for sure.J think you better buy Samsung S8000.

screen is a pain to use if you will use the skin of your finger. if you will use your nail, then you will have no problem, since in that case screen is satisfyingly responsive.

Great phone, not the right choice if you`re looking for a phone that runs apps. Jet only supports Java. Great camera, altough 1/6 times you turn the camera, the menu will freeze for a few seconds. Having problems with the 3.5mm audio jack, when touching the wire of the headset either the left or the right has to cut off. Tried various headsets still the same problem. Either then that, fun phone overall.

i seriously doubt the jetroid will ever be fully functional. it would be better to switch to samsung wave or an android-based phone instead of waiting for jetroid. this is not to discount jet though. it is a good phone by itself, and i do not regret buying one.

Google trying to help now for jetroid team, but For sure once android will be success for jet, you need to buy the software from google, because samsung stop supporting jet now, No bada upgrade For jet, Even bada now lack of firmware update and stack up doing application, because samsung focus for android OS, It's sad Jet and Wave is very successful unit of samsung but after a month cannot support them.. If You Plan To buy another Samsung its better to get Android phones, its fully support compared to wave and jet, i hope google and jetroid team will be success soon, Just prepare your money if you want upgrade android soon to your jet...

i wish the battery can last longer. i bought this phone for its multimedia feature, more specifically the ability to play divx/xvid files. i am able to watch around 3 hours and 15 minutes straight before the phone signals low battery. when in low battery, only text can calls can be performed. other than the battery life though, i have no problem with my jet. really a superb phone for the price!

It's a perfect feature phone at an unbelievable price only at 230-260$. With HD resolution, recording is so good and camera is an average 5mp but it's better than other phone's 8mp. And wireless is good. Browsing with dolphin will feel like browsing with opera mobile. And high resolution AMOLED display will show everything smooth and brilliant. I suggest everyone to buy this phone. It has same function as Omnia but cheaper than it. Only difference is OS. Jet runs on samsung.s os but omnia runs on windows mobile

im quite happy with this phone, espcially that i bought it half of its original price since i did so only a couple of weeks ago, when it was already long time phased out. it has all the features i wanted and it's the lowest-priced among those that have the same features. my only complain in this phone is the lack of support for divx3. i do not understand why this model would support divx5, xvid 1.2.0 and xvid 1.2.1, but not divx3, which is a really old version, to think that codec support nowadays are usually made backwards-compatible.

superb phone, divx software installed and video playback awesome, battery life when viewing videos...excellect! i can watch 9 45 minute programs on the spin and be left with 3-4 bars (from 5) off a full charge... other than the sheer mass support for the iphone...and the comparative lack of support this phone has...this kicks the iphone to touch (and i mean this taking all into consideration...unit cost, extortionate contract cost on iphones etc)

recently i buy same unit made by R.O.C.,and i notice that some of its funnctions are not yet configured and u need to set it up manualy. one thing i experience is to notice its factory defect that the camera capture and its led flashlight is not functioned accordingly. 'Cause when i capture scene on the dark flash led lingt normally same with capture, but the light of the image is half black and half normal....isn' it worst.. or its only waste of money? you decide!!

Sir download the new pc studio for samsung jet, after you download connect jet to the laptop computer. click widget to the NEW NPS press internet and click ADD, then press the internet not web. set the default connection copy all setting 3G connection or GPRS.. i mean example your simcard is globe copy the 3G setting from phone and transfer it to the NPS internet connection. after you set the setting. you are already used your jet as a modem...

Regarding the battery life, it lasts about 4 days one me with moderate usage. If used heavily like for taking videos, 2 days then I need to recharge it.

I've had it for a year now and its simply the best. Battery life is not that bad considering the sharpest and most colorful display that its got, it lasts for 2 - 4 days for me under constant usage without key sounds, vibration and the display brightness set to auto. Pretty solid phone, have accidentally dropped it atleast 15 times and its still as good as ever except for a few scratches. You should definitly go for it imo.

if you bought your jet brandnew the default security code is 12345, you change the code up to 6 digit. but if you bougth your jet 2nd hand unit visit to the nearest samsung service center to flash and reset the security code. by security code you can lock your inbox,phonebook,files, memory card for your privacy of your jet.

1. What is JetDroid? JetDroid is a project by members of the community and their collaborators to port Google's Android OS to the Samsung Jet. This is because the Samsung TouchWiz OS is found to be not excercising the full potential of the phone. 1a. Does it replace TouchWiz (Samsung OS)? No, it allows an extra option when turning the phone on. Its a dual boot situation like Linux and Windows on the same PC. 2. Where can I find out more? It works by using a modified bootloader called JetQi to tell the phone to boot Android instead of TouchWiz on startup. 4. Is it finished? No! It is still in active development by volunteers gracious enough to spend their free time on it. No one can know when it will be finished, but news on releases should be available when they are made. 4a. Why isnt working? As with all work in progress, only certain things will work as time goes on. See this page for details. 5. When will it be released? Right click the button with the name of the partition on above the file view section and click 'copy' 5. Go back to the terminal and click at the end of the line you typed but did not submit yet in step 2 and go to 'Edit' and then 'Paste filenames' 6. Hit enter to submit the command. Enter password for your linux user account if asked for it and wait. 7. Done setting permissions! 11. After android boots, lines start appearing on the screen and the phone crashes. Whats wrong? This is due to the limited powersaving settings on the dispaly. Its currently unable to go to sleep, so it hangs instead. To fix this: Go into settings and display settings, then change the backlight timeout to 30mins. 12. How can I install games/apps? To do this, you can either place the .apk packages in system -> app on the ext3 or use Astro File Manager. 13. I can't use any buttons/The buttons dont do what I read they do This is due to which version of the key layout you have installed. A basic one can be found here and is called 'qwerty.kl'. It is placed in system -> usr -> keylayout. 14. I keep getting 'unable to mount ext filesystem' errors, and Android does not load up. Make sure that your FAT32 Partition is the first one, then the ext3 one is second. If you see a 'unable to mount ext2 filesystem' but it continues to boot successfully this is due to this layout. The reason behind this is that the FAT32 must be first in order for TouchWiz to be able to use it. Another reason for this could be that your ext3 partition is too large. It has been found that anything bigger than 2GB of ext3 on your card will cause Android to fail to boot up. 1.7GB is a reccommended value.

This phone looks flashy but I am not impressed with its performance. It started giving me problems only 2 weeks after use. First, the battery runs down too fast even though I dont use too many functions. My nokia 5200 was better at this. I made a video recording and each time I play, the phone goes off. The phone freezes for no reason and just goes off by itself. I regret buying this phone. I bought it for almost $400 from an Amazon dealer in April this year.

The jetroid project is intriguing but the resistive touch screen just totally sucks. I have an ipod touch 3 and it blows this jet to dust. Now i have an ipod touch 4 and this jet is a joke. If call and text are all im gonna do with this then might have bought a 79$ phone instead. This phone is a week worth of my hard labor and i did not get the value of my efforts. here in the philippines, the samsung jet is phased out. u can only buy 2nd hand or some are brand new (stock only) its about PHP14k and 2nd hands are ranging from 10-12k hope this helps

I have had a samsung jet for a few months now, and i have to say it is a horrible phone, i have had endless problems with the usb connections, and it runs out of memory way too often, when using the music player it says not enough resources and tells me to close some programs....the music player is the only open program....this phone is an example of a company making a phone just to increase turnover and not customer satisfation....

@ij: i think there's a problem inside the jack.. I encounter that problem(TV out, Headset) sometimes if i remove my earphones.. do it with care.. Im from tagbilaran, bohol, Philippines,.I'll visit the samsung store on cebu next time so i can have a look at the real problem.. someone said that his jet plug was replaced.. i'll try it too next time..

Are you sure you haven't touched anything before that? And why you should restart the phone at all? Did you restart it with plugged jack? In normal way you receive this choice , if you plug-in some jack in 3.5mm audio output.Then,naturally you have to point what kind of jack you plugged- for headphones or for tv-out cable. Did you try to play music or video without anything plugged ?

Hi there! Guys,i have this samsung jet.i encountered this just the other day and it's my fist time to encounter this problem. As i restart my phone, i have this option to choose if what to use the Headset or TV out. If i select this Headset,i can't hear any tones unless if i have to put my headset on it. On the other hand,if i choose this TV out,the tones were ok but the problem is i can't play the media player. it's totally black out or should i say you can't see and hear anything on the media player. I'm a camera/video phone fan. that's why i'm fond of sony ericsson phones. i'm using C901 & W995 to date. i'm not satisfied w/the W995 coz it doesn't even come close with the pics/vids the C901 does. i am thinking of getting a JET in replacement on my W995. i want a phone that in GOOD IN PHOTO/VIDEO/MULTI-MEDIA. Samsung Jet 1 S8000->GPS application is already enable,EUROPE firmware, SamsungJet2 S8003->GPS application is disable but if you want to install download route66 software and transfer to your s8003, Asian firmware. according to the new firmware JCI may2010 firmware transition effect is fast, internet speed is fast, it has added voice recorder,video maker, multimedia imagin is changed like pixon12, Music player are changed also look like iphone, i heard we have a new firmware coming to samsung jet nextyear, let see what happened to the new firmware2011. i checked the jetroid project but there�s no update for this month, i hope jetroid team will be success on this project. Regarding to s8000 i dont know other info because it is EUROPE firmware.

hey dude dont just throw x6 like that ... your jet cant handle installation of applications ... but x6 can and it supports xvid divix and flv too [install smartmovie] ...any you cant talk about x6's camera quality nokia is the best in imaging since ages ...if you still dont understand compare both phones acc to review given by gsm arena people :)

Yes, It has dowloadable application 3rd party application and widgets. Regarding Your wifi concern set your AP to your compute and save the default setting of your AP, about jetroid if your jet it has LOGO of jetroid it is already upgraded. but if not you can boot your jet need a linuz computer ang 8GB microsdhc class 4 or 6 to make your completed ugraded. for more info go to darkforestgroup website, jetroid is not totally yet done but it work fine, but no 3G,No WIFI, No Camera, No video player support, No browser. because jetroid project still on progress. Recently, it seems like there are more Nokia x6 fans on this forum than Jet's.Why? I really got feeling that they are jealous.Now, i don't say that x6 is a bad phone or something ,but let's compare it with 5800. There is better resolution, 5mp camera, capacitive touchscreen and maybe improved performance ,but nothing innovative.And they got almost a year difference.X6 is almost twice more expensive than 5800/extremely overpriced for xpress music phone/but basically they are identical.Processors and OS are the same!? So where is the deal then? Samsung should be ashemed and collect the S8000 Jet from the market. The phone freezes and they don't have a solution for this problem. I was a big fun of Samsung but after using the Jet I promised never to use Samsung again. The customers care service for Samsung in Dubai airport are jerks who can't even give you an honest answer.

was choosing between SE Vivaz and the Jet. finally decided to get this one. because when i tried the Vivaz it has very poor sound. happy with my decision. it was my first time to use samsung and it's user friendly. battery lasts for about 3 days with minimum use. take good pictures too. i recommend this phone.

it's not that bad, i do think that the phone is missing some wonderful features that can be easily supported by the phone with out extra hardware just a few lines of code in the api, also its screen is easily scratched, and sadly i can't find any games or apps for it, but i have to say that its camera is one of the best cameras i saw in a mobile phone, although its outer speaker is weaker than the one in nokia n73 but the sound quality through any headset is excellent better than n73, and its very responsive.

Simply, a piece of junk, without any support from Samsung. I baught it from "Union Group" company in Egypt as authorized agent for Samsung. The phone screen stops working completely in addition to all buttons, i have to take off the battery and put it in again to restart the phone. I sent it for maintenance 4 times (4 TIMES!!!), and everytime they say they changed a part inside the phone, but in vain. They refuse to give me another phone and they actually lied!!! I sent an email to Samsung for help but as expected i received no reply because i know this phone is a failure and they would not support it.

Hi, I have a samsung jet, as it came with sighning up to vodaphone for two years. BUT.... the touchscreen is sometimes not user friendly at all, you have to push very hard, and NOW the last 4 days, when I receive a call the person calling me can hear me, but I can not hear a thing???!!! Make sure all application is turn off, Turn off-wifi,turn off-blutooth,out all the widget in the home screen. always open or "ON the transition effect. 2.) drain your jet. how? if your phone show low battery do not charge wait until the phone is 100% totally off. 3.) after phone totally turn-off. do not charge it in open. charge it in off.. chargin is 2 and half hours. 4.) Do not removed the charger until not appear the "Battery complete unplug charger" 5.) Just do it up to 5x charge drain and cycle. after doing that, observed that your battery life is longer to 3-4 days.. I've had this phone since May. I was impressed by the specs and hardware it housed under this sexy hood. Every review I read at that time praised this phone. Oh boy oh boy, NONE of them are right in many respects. First things first, this phone has incredible video playback. I own a Creative ZVM and that is NOTHING in front of this. Audio is good too, coupled with better earphones (the bundled ones are ok). The next thing I loved was texting- its an absolute joy to use and I can pick up speed really fast; 5 times faster than I could ever type on my old SE K750i. Now comes the bad things, PDF support is ABSOLUTE garbade. I mainly bought this phone seeing its supposedly 'great' PDF support and its honestly, a piece of shit. It doesnt open PDFs that are larger than 10 pages or so, I can't read ebooks. Samsung should rephrase their catchlines. I'm even tempted to sell this phone due to this. There are several glitches on this phone too, sometimes crashing randomly (repairable with firmware upgrade though). Its not fast at all, I wonder what Samsung did with the 800Mhz processor. iPhone performs 1000 times better than this and it carries a 600Mhz processor. The UI is sluggish and slow. Its good in many aspects, and bad in some ways too. But seemingly, the bad outweighs the good. I'm truly disappointed with this phone. People, just don't buy this; go for the Wave. Bada OS is much better.

I was pretty impressed with the specs and bought the S8003. Within a month the set started giving me nightmares - lot of problems of set switching off, hanging, user interface freezing. The worst is that Samsung customer care refuses to react despite numerous mails. DEFINITELY A NO BUY!!

I had the same problem of connecting to wifi, as it said "service unavailable" when I go to the internet. This is the fix: it's kinda stupid, but you have to choose the connection again - go to Internet -> Settings -> Browser profiles -> then choose the network your connected to.

I've browsed tens of sites, searching for Qualcomm's "brilliant" achievement of making an entry-level chipset, the MSM6xxx (Mobile Station Modem), running at some stunning 800MHz, on the Samsung Jet S8000, as its [main] CPU. @ Feng: feng, wen u said dropping the battery 100%, do you mean not to connect the jet to a computer? bcoz it charges wen conected to a computer.. so if charging the battery almost 5x with 0 battery(doesnt turn on anymore), the jet must not be connected to the computer while completing the cycle..am i right?

The best looking mobile but the worst I had so far. Tha agency has no back up teams, the sellers dont know details and the touch screen is unreliable specially in humid weather.. Never again SAMSUNG

jet and wave is almost same spec and features. jet it has 800processor. wave it has 1ghz processor. jet it has ultra brilliant touch amoled. wave it has superamoled. jet it has samsung operating system and upgradable to android 2.1 eclair via jetroid project maybe this year jetroid will be done. for more info go to darkforestgroup website or watch in youtube search jetroid project. wave it has bada platform. and according to other forum wave is easily broke LCD because it contains of 100% glass LCD.

reply to jeff yes it has videolights nhd d1@720@30fs, and jet is brighter ultra brilliant touch Amoled than x6 is only TFT LCD.. jet camera is super brighter at night and sunlight.. x6 very poor camera and not good at night. and music player and movie player,5.1 dolby sorround,WOW HD is "superb". if you want comparison x6 and jet see search in youtube.. is a big differences. samsung jet is 100% good than x6.. reply to mimi welcome poh,

worst phone ever made by samsung, fed up of this piece of junk, its only with the service centre people since i bought it. they return me every 15 days and and i return them back in 5 days, dunno they even repairing it or juss handing me over the same faulty piece
