I have x300 for 8 motnhs and its exelent becouse it were drown in the river,then i was swimming thit canoja,also yesterday my poor samsung had fall into elavators hole from 5th floor and it is still working :)

My samsung x300 in silver colour is a beautiful ,compact ,uncomplicated and comfortable to use mobile . i like it imensly. i bought it six months ago . it is ideal for someone who only needs to make calls and send sms messages.

Its good looking cell phone. No connectivity with PC and other devices.Its price is a bit high i.e., PK Rs.5000. With this features it must be aroung Rs.4000/=. Those who want to have folder type phone and r sick of camera like things then go & buy this machine.

I've bought it yesterday and I'm very impressed with its features. 1. Nice looking. Very smart and slim, light weight 2. Display is extremely good 3. Radio quality is very good. 4. Keypad is nice and comfortable Still doesn't know about its battery life and Irda functions. But i would rate it as the best mobile in its price.

moto w22o sucks compared to this mobile.. it stand no where near the audio clarity and the display quality of a samsung!! samsung rock in both... moto s good 1ly 8in design part other than that the moble sucks :-) obviously go 4 samsung x300 or x210 both are flip wid FM but x210 does not hav external disp but x 300 has thats the 1ly main diff... close ur eyes and go 4 samsung!!!

Hi some1 said alarm canot be set, It can be, press the GPRS button in any menu & it acts lik OK one. so No issues with alarm, just that on silent mode it will only Vibrate. Battery back up is for One day. With average use & no FM.

I have purchased it on 23-12-06, 1st charge an battery was too hot. I feel its worth spending 4.5k, But good things are - FM is loud enough, Stylist, very handy. At same time no profiles, poor Ringtones, Poor wall papers. I jus wanted to know 1 thing. How do I kip thje Flip function off ?, cause till tat time you cant cut a phone. I have purchased the mobile last week. I found it good except that the battery backup is only for couple of hours. I was not even using the FM but even though the charging is completed very soon. Can anyone advise me on this or do I need to contact the vendor to replace the handset? Please help me as I receive so many calls a day.

Sorry, I made a mistake in my previous post. I mentioned that transfer of contacts from sim to phone and vice versa is not possible. This is possible. You can transfer your contacts from SIM to Phone and from Phone to SIM.

Hi iam from India. Purchased this phone 1 week ago. Here is my opinion about the phone. 1) Full points to the phone in the terms of display, brilliant UFB screen. Rich colour reproduction. Screen size is 128 x 160 pixels. 2) Very compact and small.Easily fits into your palm. 3) Ringtones are loud enough and the vibration is also good. 4) External display is good with white letters with black background. Easily readable. 5) Font size is large enough to read. 6) FM radio is good and clarity is also good. Tuning is very easy. One touch FM is very handy. 7) Infrared is easy to use as other phones recognised it easily. 8) Build quality is also good as there are no delicate parts. 9) Battery back up is around 2 days with daily one hour of FM usage. 10) A little bit small phonebook size as there is only 500 capacity phone book, but this is ok for normal user. 11) Animated wallpapers. 12) Keypad is comfortable to use. 13) Connectivity to the computer is possible through a data cable. (need to purchase separately. Not provided with the handset). Now the drawbacks of this phone: 1) No profiles 2) Transferring contacts to SIM from phone and vice versa is not possible. 3) The headset earphones supplied with the phone are not at all comfortable. 4) The pin of this headset is not a normal one but seems like propreitary pin of samsung. So you can use it only for this phone. 5) You can only send and receive contacts from or to other phones through the IR port and nothing else. 6) Forwarding of (mono)ringtones is not possible. 7) No screensavers and themes. 8) Internal memory is too small. My opinion about this phone is 1) Value for money because: a) Large screen size for a budget phone. b) Good features for a budget phone. c) FM is present. d) Screen is simply brilliant and rich in colours. 2) Cheaper than Nokia and Sony Ericsson when compared with phones having FM radio. 3) Battery back up is around 2 and half days if you do not use FM radio. 4) FM radio is stereo as the nearest Nokia model (6030) is having mono FM radio. to PM, samsung have done away the LED features in their clamp type phone like this X300 and i think the reason is simply to cut cost of the phone. But i totaly agree with you, they should return this great feature on their clamp type phone. By the way,someone mention that you have to press the answer button whnever there is an incoming call, better check the phone setting, you're active folder might be turn off. turn it on so you can answer and end a call by simply opening and closing the phone.

hi friends, a super mobile.with a sexy look. excellent screen clarity and a reasonable price.an disadvantage is that it has poor battery performance.it is diffcult to download pictures and sounds.

hello, my x300 has a 600kb total memory and dont support mp3, but in specs. say it has 1.15 mb and supports mp3. if anyone had a explenation or solution, except it is old version. thanx :D

the mp3 ringtones support here means that u can record songs by holding the mobile in front of the sound source n record the song n set it as ringtone. if i m mistaken plz correct me.

Hi, I'm thinking of buying this phone. I like that ascetism (no camera or other useless stuff). One thing that I really liked in all my previuos samsungs was that they had LEDs, which were used to inform an incoming call or sms, and, most important, LEDs didn't stop blinking as long as the SMS had been read... Is there anything like this in x300?

My S500 samsung was not working very well in the rural areas of Bohol (Philippines)- bad reception. So I gave it to my girlfriend and bought a x300. Much better reception, clear reception. I am very happy with it as a tri band gsm world phone without unnecessary features. I think there is a place for simple, handsets that work all over the world.

No, X300 can not ring and vibrate in a same time. You can chose Vibration+Melody but it frst vibrate, then goes only melody. In this mode, you have vibra +melody only fo sms, so calendar memos go only with vibration. About sms, you can setUp for periodical alerts, so after 2 min, the ph will alert again - no blinding screen. Asking for information where I can download same kind of PC suite for this ph. It has IrD port, and hope that can bi conected with PC???

Hi Marta! Setting alarm is very easy! Just follow the following steps. Step 1: Go to Organiser Step 2: Choose the alarm type Step 3: Enter time Step 4: Press the i button(which we use to connect to GPRS). Select am/pm Alarm gets activated.

I got this phone itz screeen is not much good but it has fm that is one thing else. shape is nice irda work for contacts only. and it doesn't support mp3. Gsm arena has wrote wrong description of this phone bcoz im using this phone from 10 days. it has 10 ringtones and 10 wallpapers only.

I saw the phone today. On the box it says that the IRda is only for linking up as a modem only. It feels good in the hands though, looks and feels better than X200. Has radio, a better buy than X200. I thinks it's the best looking basic phone so far. If there's promotion I will definitely get one.

Hai, I like verymuch the handset of samsung in the sense of eausthitic.I am so glad to appriciate ur design engieers who r all having very good capability to frame the very attractive shape and size to the handset of samsung.But while comparing to sony erricson u r having lot of drabacks in case of clarity.So its my humble reqest to u people as a customer who is analysing all the changes on the handset which is introducing in market, to invent some innovative ideas to acheive a very good clarity.And throughwhich u can be the number one hand set producers in the world forever. I have purchased mine X 300 last month as a postpaid phone.I was looking replacement for mine already old Siemens cf 62 and first choice was cf 75 but when I saw Samsung x 300 in black color and emediatly purchesed for a cheap price...It looks like more expensive models-design is great(especialy in black variant of color),it has FM radio, it has good battery life(for this kind of phone)...also this is light phone and it functions rather well.. But I noticed seveal things on negative side...it main display can be clearly seen only under particular angle(this "UFB tehnology" isn't impressive)...ergonomy is much better solved in my old siemens cf62(cf 62 fitted in the human hand perfectly X 300 is rather inconveniant to use...) Thing that produces disturbance with me personaly is the fact that samsung launched model x 670 with mp3 player and FM radio only few day after I purchased x 300...this are phones in a similar price range and now I regret my purcahse because I woluld like to have x 670 instead... Introduced because there is a market for stripped down, minimalistic, camera-less phones. There are establishments that forbid anyone to bring mobile equipment with cameras, bluetooth, usb ports and memory slots. So it makes sense for Samsung and any company to start manufacturing these sorts of basic phones again.
