A great phone, i am posting this using the phone. I am a heavy user, some HD games still playable with average 22fps on lowest setting however the game should be downloaded outside the play store. I like the 5.0 inch display, I hope today there are new phone with such an enough display size. Great battery too! I dont think I will change this phone until its totally broken.

Hello everyone. I have Redmi 7 now but Redmi 3 pro its my first Xiaomi phone, I got a good experience that I never had with Android phones before. Mostly due to the fact that batery is awesome and lasts a day or more. The thing is mod ROMs makes the camera bad (image becomes blur and pixelized with dots that look like ants). Also you only have Miui 9 and this phone deserves Miui 10. I stoped used the phone because of heat issues, Android 5 and because I broke the screen. If it wasnt for that I would still used. Redmi 7 looks like to have heat problems too after 2 weeks of usage. Bah.... Bad luck maybe?

I have redmi 3 pro for about 3 years, it is a good phone for all specs comaring the price, very good, only charging is abit slow, sometimes charging takes 4 hours, but battery power is very good.

Hello i would suggest you to install the latest global stable miui version for the phone and i did a trick for the fingerprint scanner in order for it to work much better. Try making "2 profiles" for fingerprint like it's 2 different people and the probability for it to work increases.

I've been using this phone for 2 years. Back at the time, it is a decent phone. But I've got some problems with this phone. The fingerprint reader works awful, and somehow when the battery is seriously low, the WiFi turns on automatically. The UI takes a lot of memory, which is disappointing. The phone runs slow, even when the storage has a lot of space. Other than that, the battery life is good, build quality is solid, and the camera is okay. I would rate this phone 2.7/5.

The Redmi 3 Pro and Redmi 3 has the same packaging. I was surprised as well when I both mine years ago. They only way to know is by looking at the barcode sticker that should be at the back of the box.

as i saw the images of redmi 3 pro phone on the internet the colors of this phone was not unique at all parts of it. For example in silver color variant, the front side of the phone was white and the back side was silver, and in black color the front side of the phone was purely black while the back side was like brown. The gold color was ok with uni-color. Is it really like that or it is only in the internet? plz answer, is loudspeker sound is stereo or good on it? Is it available in pure silver or black color? Bcoz i think phones designed with 2 combined colors looks ugly (although its not an issue) by the way this phone looks stylish. according to the specs its a midrange phone which has almost everything. It has almost all the features the other phones have like infrared, otg, screen sharing, fingerprint sensor,radio.... It only lacks NFC (which is not so important). I think the main downside of this phone is not having gorilla glass protection and didicated sd card slot (although its not a concern). By the way it seems a great midrange phone with best features and design.

I've been using redmi 3s pro for over 3 months, The battery capacity is incredible unlike other smartphones. At the beginning stage, camera was excellent and made me amazed about that. But after 3 months, Camera is making issues like lagging and not connecting issues sometimes, actually many time nowadays. Other than that, storage capacity will never forget to put your jaw down. I've been using this phone for a year and got no issue at all. I just got 4G lock signal issue, but I can fix it. The cons is that this phone have a bad picture quality when you take a picture in the night, never get android update, and the audio recording is really bad.

I just tried and this device can support ANT+ connectivity. This should be in phones description as it is in some Samsung galaxy phone models. It's a great advantage for some people, cause this phone can replace expensive bike computers or training companions. I'm using it with ANT+ heart rate monitor and speed+cadence sensors simultaneously. Very happy to find this feature. My Garmin smart watch is not necessary any more.

I have this phone for almost one year. The phone is just GREAT. Fast (3GB RAM) as it says. Clear photos. Amazing compatability (adopt the local network settings even if they are 2g, 3g or 4g). Continues use of Bluetooth connection (because I have a xiaomi wearable) and more than 10hrs daily data connection, made the build-in battery (that I was afraid very much) to last more than a day. Hi, bought Redmi 3/Prime/Pro (3GB RAM, 32GB ROM) 3 months before. The handset gets hot when I use camera for more than 5 min. Also the network IC got fried just after 2 months of usage. Had to replace the IC from a local mobile repair shop. Now whenever the network indicator shows "no service" it terrifies me. I really don't want to spend more bucks on this handset. Have anyone experienced the same issue with Redmi 3?

I have a redmi 3 pro, nog complaints and great device! Battery is awesome (2 -3 days on average use) But Xiaomi will never update the android version so it is stuck on 5.1.1. If I were you I would buy the Redmi 4 prime. It is exceptional i price vs quality and better than all the devices you listed.

If you need to flash just go here and red it carefully... Download the suitable ROM for your Xiaomi Device.. if need languages different from Chinese or English use Oficial Global Stable ROM. And because of all xiaomi devices have locked bootloader since MIUI 7.9 in case you can't flash you have to use a Xiaomi Deep Cable... that you can make yourself.. is easy just pick up any regular cable open it carefully and bridge black and green cables... also you may solder a switch between those 2 cables and then you wont have to use another cable.. Ah you also have to download Xiaomi miFlash latest version and install it. So INSTRUCTIONS for the "raw" version of flashing with that cable: 1-Turn of the phone 2-Connect Cable to PC (the one you prepared) 3-Connect Phone to cable wait about 8 seconds 4-Disconnect that cable and connect another regular cable on THE SAME port 5-Connect the phone **now pc will recorgnize it as a qcomm device look for it on ports, if not, you did it wrong 6-Open MiFlash, load the rom, click refresh, youl see some device connected on the list 7-Click flash.. its 100% working method... NOTE: you have to decompress the rom after downloading put it in your HDD root.. example C:/rom Good luck!

This looks like a Nigerian, lol. Anyway, to fix this just dial *#*#4636#*#*, then click phone 1 or phone 2 depending on which sim tray your sim is inserted. Then scroll down abit you'll see 'set preferred network type'. From there choose WCDMA only, that's all. If you can't remember the code then you can go through settings - About phone - Internal memory. Tap the Internal memory for like 7 times simultaneously, then it will take you there. Cheers.

Sometimes the charging time is need to consider your capacity of your socket/outlet.Let me make a example, like if you go to Japan, the charging speed is slower than Malaysia because their socket/outlet's capacity is bad than us so it need to take for a long time to charge to full charged.So let me make my conclusion,the time to fully charge a phone is based on the capacity of the outlet/socket not on the phone.But if you take a long time like 5++hours to fully charged and it is the battery problem.

I have been using this phone for a year now and it's damn good. I have used the HTC and S5, and this phone beats them hands down. No other phone in this form factor has a 4100 mAh battery!! I don't have to charge everyday now, either every other day or 3 days max. I wanted to change my provider over to Project Fi, but not even the Pixel has a 4000 mAh battery. The finger print sensor works fine, you just have to be in the same area to unlock. Compared to the S5, it is not even close. If it's MIUI vs TouchWiz, I'd take MIUI any day. It is less bloated and responsive, and rarely crashes...you know what I mean, when the whole UI is unresponsive and power button doesn't work, few minutes later the S5 reboots.

Just received the Redmi 3 Pro, and it is a well balanced performance/price mobile. The battery life is awesome, easily two days with normal use. The problem that is bugging me, is SD Card Write Access. I rely a lot on SD cards, and no matter what I tried, Marshmallow does not allow it, and Xiaomi does not have a very well written explanation how to solve this problem. This mobile cost me $150 dollars, and if this problem continues I will ditch it forever!!!! If any reader can help with this, I would really appreciate it...

This phone, is near perfect for the price you pay, no other phone's battery life lasts as long, no other phone offers this much features for the price, no other phone in it's price range feels as premium as it. Only areas for concern are the camera and the lack of protection in the form of gorilla Glass. But Value for money, it is near perfect.

I loved the specs, the camera, the gyroscope (viewing Facebook posts in 360 is amazing!) but if you buy it from the grey market, it will come with a vendor ROM and that can cause a lot of issues. In my case, the fingerprint sensor went haywire. Had to do a factory reset. After that, it downloaded King Root and navigation buttons stopped working. I've tried flashing various ROMs. Global Stable, China stable, even custom ROMs and nothing works. Don't buy from unofficial and if you do, pray you won't get the one with the 7.2.99.99 pre-installed. Whoever made that ROM deserves a middle finger.

I have been using this phone for nearly 1 month. First time using phones from Mi. I bought it online. All seems to work fine.The only major drawback is there are too many ads pop up. Disabling from settings seem to work temporarily. It will come back afterwards. Camera is good enough if you use HDR then even better. Normally its decent camera not the best like lg or iPhone (Samsung is not best camera lol) Battery is amazing. I played a game for 4 hours screen on time. It discharge only 40%. That's really good considering 4 hours of a game with WiFi on. (Game was simcity, light game but 4 hours for 40% is good no? ) Lastly evry1 saying about the MIUI. I have MIUI 7 with lollipop, however xiaomi has been sending ota updates in the last few days. * 2 weeks back got a notification for miui 7.5.something *1week back got notif for MIUI 8 ota update (I stay in uae) Overall my only complain of this device is accessories (I don't like buying online that's y, if u want online check desertcart!) From my obrservation and comparison, I found Redmi 3s to be more performance-efficient than Redmi 3 Pro, eventhough only has Snapdragon 430 inside instead of Snapdragon 616 with 1.5Ghzx4, 1.2Ghzx4 processors. Mainly due to Marshmallow 6.0 software built-in, new X6 LTE Cat.5 advanced processor. Antutu benchmark also proves this as reading of Redmi 3s shows almost 40,000 while Redmi 3 Pro only shows 32,000 in antutu benchmark. Very nice device so far. I was originally going to buy the standard terms 3 but the seller recommended this because the price gap wasn't that big and you get more with this device. I bought it just 3 days after it 's released and the only complaints I have is 1. Cases are still rare for this (I actually bought a xiaomi Redmi 3 you case and cut the hole for the fp sensor myself), 2. The fp sensor is pretty slow when the screen is off 3. The only color that was available globally was gold (personal opinion) Overall a solid 8/10 so far. But if you have a little more to spend I would suggest the redmi note 3 PRO

Ijust got mine yesterday. So far so good. I guess I'm lucky because the online store I got it from sells it with Global Rom and Play Store. Sometimes, it responses slowly with other MIUI themes. I guess it must depend on the theme as well. Got mine at 40% battery, I spent a lot of time on WiFi and it took a while to be at 11% (around 10 hours). Front cam is acceptable. Not great. Rear cam is better of course. My brother says the speaker sounds cheap but it sounds acceptable to me! I'm very happy with it. I guess the only downside is that it will be hard to get jellycases and leather cases as well. It also doesn't come with a screen protector so good luck with that.

I had the original redrice (redmi1) about 2-3 years ago and it did both youtube to tv and exact screen mirroring fine for me. Can't imagine it would be missing two full generations down the line. For the record my Xiaomi phone was amazing for the price. The screen went flickery eventually but it was in my pocket on building site every day, used under floors as a torch and generally beaten up, so couldn't complain. It still functions albeit slowly and with a screen flicker. As for updates Xiaomi are totally on the ball. As a company I rate them and miui just gets everything right. Prob not the fastest version of Android but functions perfectly. I bought online from China no probs.

Hi I will try to help you, since Im the owner of Redmi 3 pro. So if I would be in your shoes i would ask myself what do I want from the phone. For example: I was looking for a phone with a very good battery life, maximmmum size of 5' (to fit my pocket), and fast enough (3GB RAM). Thats all i have found in my Redmi 3 pro. The battery life is extremely good and I would buy this phone again and again beause of that. The only thing that is not outstanding is the camera. But for the money it costs is good enough. Redmi 3 note for me is too big – 5,5''. It would hardly fit my hands and my pocket. It has a little bit better camera, but for me smaller size is more important then better camera. Oppo A37 for me is not good enough. The worst camera between those four, 2GBRAM (it could not work as smoothly as the others) Oppo F1 as i see from the caratheristics is good, but nothing special. Probably the camera is good, but the battery life could be doubtful. I would recommend yuo to choose between Redmi 3 pro and Redmi 3 note.

Okay,, i'll try to answer a part of ur question, which become my experience by using redmi 3 pro.. I've used this phone for about 3 months and so far i dont have a serious problems about this software yet (It uses MIUI 7.3.0 Global version), no lags to use in normal activities with 2 or 3 heavy games, it because the using of 3gb RAM and an octacore SnapDragon processor.. but i found several problems about this hardware when it charging with its original charging kit, small electrical strain trough its metal casing which make a small trouble on touch screen then result decreasing on touch sensitivity,, the other problem is in the video recording, it cannot result a good video recording with a bad microphone, the sound produce is not clear. but overall, it's a great phone with rich feature in low range price, u can use several applications and games together with no lag and take a good picture even in a dark place, it has a clear display brightness (Altough it has lower pixel density screen), and many more theme to Customize the UI. Last but not least , i am so satisfied with this 4100 battery power, now i never worry about its standby time and almost never using my powerbank altough i had a long trip (in 1 - 2 days). so that in my conclusion,i would scored it 8 from 10 user rating experience in low range price phone.

I have both at the moment. I would go with Redmi 3 32/3 version. Mi4c has an awesome camera, better fhd screen and faster 808 sd, but it's made of plastic (you can customize your back covers though). On the other hand, Redmi 3 Pro is made of metal, screen is crisp and sharp even if its 720p, the performance with sd 616 and the camera are ok, ofcourse mi4c is better there. But with the battery, nothing can match 3 Pro. I get a full day with m4c, but 3 and a half with Redmi 3. So it's a question what is more important to you. Better camera and better performance, or solid performance, ok camera abd superb battery life.

Im using this with xiaomi eu MIUI8 rom for about 2 weeks. Everything works brilliantly. The best phone i ever used. The screen is bright and crisp, even if its just 720p. Fingerprint scanner works flawlessly. 3gb of ram is great, i get a fluid and responsive experience all the time. The battery life is unbelievable, get 3 days mimimum, sometimes even 4. The only drawback is waiting for unlock code from xiaomi. Other than that, this is how you make a 150€ phone.

that's sad man... so what did you do? if it's under warranty (which most products on souq.com do come with), you can return it. call souq and place a complaint. they will send a courier service to pick it. my unit couldn't be shipped to UAE from China because of custom regulations (as it contains a lithium battery). but this issue is only because i'm importing from China via Aramex, and Aramex China has batteries on it's prohibited list. I'll reorder and get it shipped via DHL.

I checked this... the ROM comes installed by the seller. In most cases if the phone is intended to be used outside China, they install a Custom ROM, remove all Chinese bloatware apps, install the Google PlayStore, and it has options for many languages including English.

I purchased redmi pro 3 from souq.com based in UAE, just after 1 day usage the unit shutdown by itself, at first i was able to restart up again but on the 3rd time the unit is dead, neither hard reset is working. In fastboot mode the unit is not being detected by mi pc suite. Too disappointed.

Sorry, I dont know. Actually, those shops which sell these phones in our country, most of them try to get the Global ROM version. So, it is easy for us to buy. Otherwise if anyone got the custom ROM version, they can easily change it to Global ROM version from those shops. You may take help from a shop which sells this type of phone in your country.

Its more accurate and so fast. 3. almost 1.5-1.8 GB ram available most of the time. 4. gaming performance is mind blowing 5. Battery backup 4100mah- get almost 2 days backup (using 3-4 hour internet browsing, 1-2 hours gaming, 2-3 hours video playback etc.) 6. its 5 inch display, so its so handy. I want to say, I am very glad to have this. I am not facing any problem so far.

Yes fingerprint sensor works fine. At one point the sensor wasnt working so well, like do3snt scan straight away or wouod scan correctly at all, i just re set up the fingerprints and worked perfevtly fine. I dont think it has anything tp do with the rom, i thing its the i have set up the fingerprints before.

I have this Phone for 3 weeks now, i said I'm going to leave feedback after a month but i can't wait, and so far Using only 1 sim + SD card Hardware is great for its price. Feels sturdy and comfortable in hand or pocket. The Camera seems good when the surrounding is well lit, but I don’t take lots of photos so I cant give you feedback more than that. Speed is fine, very rare I ‘ve experience lag. When it does lag, it's something that doesn’t happen everyday, I just restart the phone and it all goes well. I’ve played asphalt8 on this phone and the experience was good, never lag. UI is great, I always love miui, so I might be a bias here. But what I like about it though is that its buttery smooth. You can adjust it in developer’s option if you want it to be snappier than what it is out of the box. Battery, well, 2 days for me. That’s browsing using chrome (probably at least 1.5 hours per day), FB +messenger, emails (gmail) and music for an hour, + a bit of gps ( 40min drive). I haven’t been turning the wifi off when I leave ho0me, coz I know the battery will last, but its up to you really. But brightness I always put it around < 20% indoor, coz I don’t like bright screen. That’s for the out of the box. When I unlocked bootloader + root + app quarantine + greenify running on Redmi 3 Developer ROM 6.5.26 (yes you can use Redmi 3 ROM, you cant find redmi 3 pro rom from miui download site), battery didn’t seem to be better or worse. I just want to root my phone so I can install whatever I want, especially those apps that needs root access. That’s all I can share for now.

Been using it for 2 weeks and I have to say, this one is a great phone for the price! -Software takes just a day or two to get used to, used stock Android before (AOSP). -MIUI is not worse than regular Android. Im not sure if its better than Samsung. My last samsung phone was Galaxy S3(was using it for 2+ years), I dindt like the hardware as it feels cheap, and the software has a lot of bloatware and consistently lags, hence the reason i dont own Samsung phones again. But it still working though, my auntie is using it. My wife's phone is Galaxy S6 Edge plus, although its a lot of improvement compare from my old S3 but the hardware still feels cheap in your hands, especially when you consider how much it costs. Im currently using LETV x600 running on MIUI 7. the build is topnotch and so as the miui software that i have on it. Although i havent used and a Xiaomi phone in the past, coz im still waiting for my redmi 3 pro delivered, i already have an experience with their software that its really good. Had been using MIUI since my LG G3 (after my S3), kept trying other Roms but always go back to MIUI (although ROM design and feel is personal choice, but they are very smooth and battery efficient). And when the reviewers tell you that the phones built feels solid, justlike what they say about this redmi 3/ 3pro, then it is solid. So i believe it should last at least 3 years.

My personal review on Xiaomi Redmi 3 pro Design - very compact and sleek and you won't notice that it is 5" phone and it really fits into my hand. overall design looks high end. Camera - cam is ok for the price.. it is fast to focus even though it is close. In low light it is little grainy but it is ok for me. front cam is ok for me and one of the best on it's price and it has an inbuilt beauty cam. Processor, GPU - quite fast processor and the GPU is also good. I can play the games that I'm playing. It is smooth in nba 2k16 in low settings and also Marvel Contest of Champion with slight lag. it also has a heating problem on upper part of the back but not too much like my previous phone. RAM, Internal Mem. - one of the reason why I chose this phone is because of it's 25gb usable internal memory and 3gb RAM. even if I open too many apps it does not lag and I can switch task without force closing the other apps. I have plenty of games, pictures, movies and music but there's still 11 gb of free memory the best part is it is expandable up to 128gb. Speaker - it is very loud and clear so you can enjoy watching movies or playing music. Battery - I'm very impressed here cause it last 8hrs before I charged it. I have been playing online games, browsing facebook, watching movies at taking pictures and there is still 10% left with the brightness set at 50%, what more if I set it to below 50% brightness. Network - kind of a downside because sometimes the network is slow to have signal but not too much. Display - very clear even if it is only at 720p you can enjoy watching videos and movies. Fingerprint scanner - very fast and accurate, about only 1.5 second to unclock the phone. IR blaster - very easy to connect to TV. although I can't connect it to one TV cause the brand is not on the list namely deVant but It work on my other TV. O.S. - as a first time user of xiaomi phone and MIUI I was a bit confuse on it's set up but after a while of exploring the interface I got used to it. it's like an android IOS. there are many themes to choose from but others have chinese language. hopefully GLobal rom will arrive so as the Marshmallow update and MIUI 8. this is a very good phone 9/10 on the price range. haven't experience any bug and I have not yet updated my phone to it's latest firmware. hopefully the Global Version will be there so that you will not manually install Google playstore. at first I hesitated to buy this cause ther is no global rom yet and it is not available globally but it has exceeded my expectation and looking to do more on this phone

It doesn't play well with nova launcher,icons roll back to something that looks like it came out of gingerbread,there are freezes and instances where touch doesn't register . Stock launcher is much better but there are still issues with touch sensitivity.Using a generic tempered glass screen protector basically rendered menus unusable as your finger wouldn't register after the initial touch (thus making scrolling impossible without pressing down hard). I just recently received my redmi note pro having upgraded from an old iPhone 5 the size of the phone was the only real adjustment I had to make. It's a fantastic phone, benchmarked just under the Galaxy note 5 which you would pay double for. I imagine the redmi 3 pro is just as good quality, I simply went for the note pro as the 3pro was harder to find for sale for me. I got over 7 hours of screen on time yesterday, a lot of YouTube videos and other demanding apps. Happily buy another one and recommending it to everyone.

System smoothness of G4 is way better than Redmi 3 pro. But the camera of this phone is faster than G4. In addition, you can play fm radio of Redmi 3 pro without headphone. Back camera pictures look bright, over sharpening is existent, sometimes washed out the bright objects. Front camera need to test. Sorry I usually don't play any game, so I can not tell you about gaming performance.

From my 4-5 hours observation 1) The battery last long (used continuously 4-5 hours while battery drained from 43% to 14%) 2) Multimedia sound is loud enough (nearly same with my LG G4) but sound clarity is not superb. 3) During voice call loud speaker is better, but earpiece sound is comparatively low (much lower than my LG G4). During bus journey or in crowdy area may be difficult to hear smoothly/clearly. 4) Free RAM fluctuated from 2.5-1.3 GB. Free ROM is 25.6 GB. 5) Default browser is not smooth and always bother with chinese language. 6) Keyboard supports only Baidu and Google pinyin (English and Chinese) 7) Many chinese bloatwares occupied ROM memory, but you can uninstall/delete most of them. 8) Could not test the screen clarity and Camera performance because default screen protection covered front camera and make screen vague. Hope I can inform you about camera and screen shortly. 9) Slight heating issue is existent.

Have been using the phone for 2 days. Feels good. Good battery life. Fingerprint fails sometimes. Camera is decent. Volume is ok Notification light is good. Backlit lights is a good idea.

Well, for me the phone is all good except one thing that the SD card for memory expansion and SIM slot 2 can not be used simultaneously. I don't know that why did companies do such things. Someone please forward my this message to Xiaome manufacturers.

OMG you dont know anything, right ? i have Xiaomi Mi 3 since 2014 ( months after release ) and it yet works perfectly like when i turned it on first time .. no problems , nothing else , and have android 6 on it since 2 weeks ago ( exactly when they said they will Put Update On OTA ).. No Lags , No hangs , surfing like things that you cant find in hangsung devices .. and with android Marshmallow , it become even faster , as i never thought it can be. i will buy Redmi 3 pro as soon as it released , you should do it too , it will never fail you

I just brought this Snapdragon version, and I was amazed by the premium quality and performance, google play store was pre installed by the seller (honorbuy). first thing I did was to install Nova launcher but soon changed to original mui and got used to it. there is nothing stellar about the camera but it's ok, I also own a Nexus 5 and Motorola G gen 3 and found that wifi is much better on this phone. I totally recommend this phone.

I have Redmi Note 3 Snapdragon version. Battery life is amazing over 6.5 hours screen on time with 4000 mah battery. Overall performance is good. They should adapt Android 6 very soon.

It is have similarity with redmi 3 and 3(mediatek). 2gb ram (redmi 3) vs 3 gb ram, and bigger screen (mediatek vs snapdragon). I like this phone for better resolution than redmi 3 and better cpu than mediatek. Batt life is awesome. too make it simple, between redmi 3, 3c and whatever xiomi 3 out there, this one top it all. Im not sure about the heating problem yet, but will drop my comment if it do so.

Doesn't seem that much different than the Redmi 3 other than the fingerprint scanner. There's nothing "pro" about this, at least add a FHD screen and bump the specs to the SD 652.
