Out of production since mid 2016. This to me the best Lenovo smartphone ever created. I have one and for its asking price provided stellar hardware. However the software is little buggy and sometimes needs a restart. Lenovo phone often have software issues, hence it is not a specific case for this handset. The phone was known for its performance, one of the best display in the market, awesome audiophile grade audio quality through 3.5 mm headphone jack and the best stereo inbuilt speaker ever adorned in a phone. I still own this phone and love it every bit as of today.

I have used this phone and i have used lenovo k4 note. Not much different. lenovo and motrola have a lot of bugs in their software . sad. Thats why i prefer Redmi for performance and Samsung for multimedia. But samsung lags and redmi has a skin that some like some dont

Dude VOLTE means calling without using JIO app. If you are using JIO voice app for calling ........then you dont have volte. VOLTE is where you dont need any app.

Its almost 3 year with my lenovo vibe x3 still its rock solid. The phone has rock hard audiophile capabilities still knock off recent audiophile its warm tones take me to the another world as world renowned lenovo bullsh!t support. Speaker is a bliss to listen. Yes i upgraded it from lolipop to marshmallow the speaker loudness go down but its more on warmer side now the separation is phenomenal either with speaker or headphone. What is the latest Marshmallow update to vibe X3 and is it stable one? I haven't updated my device to Marshmallow yet and for the past 2.8 years I have been using v5. As I heard there are bugs which will spoil audio experience. Please let me know on the stability of the latest firmware.

Why is VOLTE so important ? When airtel vodafone and idea offer similar packages as JIO sim nowadays and in many areas the download speeds of other carriers are much higher than JIO. So why does anyone need VOLTE unless they only want to stick to JIO sim. ? JIO charges around 450 Rs for 70 days and so does airtel vodafone and idea. all of them have 1 gb day per day. So why does one need JIO and why does one need VOLTE when other carriers are there ?

You need to change its LCD, mine the same before, sent it to service centre and when I got back it was still the same, the second time they replaced it's LCD for me, after that no issue found. It is LCD problem.

I hv been using this Mobile since more than 20months now i dint find any major flaw despite shity lenovo update features. Though after updating from lolipop to marshmellow i dont face any issues just 2 3 glitches like phone camera app slow down n crash sometime and call quality drop sometime rest its still best phone till 2017 Pros 1. Sound quality still rock solid speaker as well headphone i use xtz dsp player its best combo. Phone is truly audiophile grade and i guess its best then v10 or v20 clarity wise. With hi fi on its bestest natural clarity 2.display is amazing 3.front camera is awesome 4.call reception is good 5.no heating issue till i faced 6.finger print work like charm 7.battery phenomenonal heavy usage for 16 to 18 hrs, moderate usage 1.5days, normal use 2-2.5 days I love my lenovo vibe x3 just disappointed with volt update. I dont need nougat update i just want volt update And at last not least lenovo software team sucks I dint even find any teardown video of lenovo vibe x3 No volt update damn🤒 Lenovo ruining its image and i guessed ruined it🤣🤣🤣&#1­29315;

Vibe X3 has an overall better camera sensors; rear and front facing and the quality of the photos they can capture is quite impressive. The K4 Note's cameras aren't that far behind though, they still can capture decent photos with proper lighting and filters. One of the major selling points with the Vibe X3's camera is its ability to capture videos @4k quality. Though both the Vibe X3 and K4 Note's camera sensors lack image stabilization - which is a crucial feature in mobile digital photgraphy.

We wont get any update, it's Lenovo's policy to give only 1 android upgrade. I got 1 question for dev is it possible to flash nexus 5x android oreo to this device... Since they both have same SoC. But nexus 5x doesnt have 2ndsim + sd card + ir blaster & dolby. "Please someone flash it who dont use this phone "

This phone's audio quality is just astonishing. It's like the LG V10 with two amazing front-firing stereo speakers and Dolby Atmos. The only downside of this phone is its manufacturer. With no announcements of updates and a bad customer service, it's disappointing. It's their flagship phone for heaven's sake! An Android N and bug fixes will suffice.

I bought lenovo x3 a year ago... Beleive it or not the phone remained with service center most of the time for its unending problems... It automatically gets switched off and I cant do anything unless I go to service center and that happened for four times now... Changed mother board twice still the problem persist... Service center once out of the past three times kept my phone for 40 days and still they dont have answer why my phone behaving like that...now my phone is out of warranty and again same thing happened to my phone... Please do not waste your money buying this phone... WORST phone ever with the MOST WORST SERVICE... Also to add battery drains quickly... bad sound quality while using earphones... in less than 6 months it had started to hang... My usage is only call, message, mails, watching movies, switch on gps when required and whatsapp...

Lenovo Vibe X3 is worst phone. Within a year it gave me so much problem. They changed mother board, Cables and battery also. Still I am getting into loop. If I try to come out to main menu it automatically dials any one of previous dialed no. Touch screen stops working anytime, then after some time it starts again. Horrible phone. pl don't buy.

Bro, I am also still on the factory version of lollipop. I think it is better not to update to Marshmallow. I say this because I personally think it is a half-baked update from Lenovo. No OTA's are perfect and some bugs will be present. But the manufacturer should issue some bug-fixing update. This bug-fixing part has clearly been neglected by Lenovo. Due to this there have been reports like Overheating, freezing of phone, significant decrease of speaker volume, increased RAM usage and so on. So my honest opinion is that you are better off with the stock lollipop 5.1.1. Now speaking about my personal thoughts, I am not saying that the phone is bad. Far from it. If Lenovo had provided proper software support (By this I mean Android Nougat, timely security patches and VOLTe update) this phone would have still been a very good option. But unfortunately Lenovo had forgotten about this awesome gadget. Now the downside of having old android version is that new apps wont be supported. So that is the only reason why I am thinking of getting a new phone. I have got mine on the very first sale. Now I am saving some money and thinking of getting a Oneplus 5 or honor 8 pro. But I will surely not sell the Vibe X3 because of the unbeatable audio performance. I will keep it till it breaks.

I am using vibe x3 with lollipop 5.1.1. No heating issues till now while charging. Just slightly warm during charging, but i guess thats ok since every phone gets warm during charging.

VoLTE is on the top of 4G technology which enables calling using 4G network through your phone dialer. Earlier 4G only meant for high bandwidth data and no calling was possible using the 4G network, after the evolution of VoLTE over 4G network people became able to call too. JIO is a 4G network with VoLTE enabled while Airtel is also 4G but not VoLTE enabled thus provide high-speed data only and to make call it switches again to 3G network. In the case of Vibe X3, it supports 4G data only but not VoLTE. JIO 4G experience in this phone is very worst as frequent connection losses especially while using JIO. So avoid this purchasing this phone as you would not be able to use a fundamental feature of phone i.e. making a call and Lenovo has confirmed it's not gonna provide any support or update to enable VoLTE & fix network fluctuation problem.

I bought a used X3 after my wonderful experience with K4 Note. The phone build is solid. But, the s/w experience seems to much more stable in K4 Note. On top of it, the capacitative buttons are misbehaving. Phone needs to be locked and unlocked for it to work again. Sometimes applications just close as if the back button has been pressed. Very frustrating. Given that it works again after lock/unlock, is it a s/w issue? Does this have better audio than K4 Note? Both are giving out booming sound. Display in this is somewhat over saturated compared to K4 Note. Is the higher cost for the better CPU/GPU only OR are there other features that X3 is superior to K4 Note?

I Currently using Lenovo vibe X3 The Lenovo vibe X3 doesn't have VOLTE support.They might give Volte update with Nougat update. I thought this phone has quick charge , but it doesn't support quick charging.Only the Chinese version of this model supports quick charging. The Camera is good and have you checked the background defocusing option from camera.

I am using vibe x3 with the preloaded lollipop os. Did not update to marshmallow due to all the negative comments. It's good even in 2017. Camera in low light could have been better. But I mainly bought it for the hi-fi audio DAC and speakers. Happy till now. But i really feel that the true potential of this mobile has been wasted by not giving attention to the software part. Without proper software, great hardware becomes just acceptable. If it were properly updated, this could have been a great mobile even now. Hope lenovo gives proper support to their phones going forward.

No, this phone does not support VoLTE and will never support VoLTE as poor lenovo support team & engineers are just bunch of nerds and I personally recommend you to avoid Lenovo, these phones attract by configuration but on a serious not they are not performer. Go for One Plus or Xiaomi

Lenovo should have at-least given us VoLTE update in Vibe X3 just at they did with its sister Lenovo K4 Note. I was ready to be happy with this. Vibe X3 is surely a multimedia powerhouse, an audio fanatics dream but above all it is a phone and it need to do the phone duties right. Unfortunately this is were it fails with intermittent call drops, lost towers and no VoLTE support. :(

Lollipop version is very stable and good, but if you want to update your phone to nougat then try this rom, otherwuse stay on lollipop, ofcourse nougat has some extra features then lollipop but it is a nightly build, so it is not much stable as lollipop,so try it at your own choice

Lenovo has confirmed the bad news for their once si called flagship... It will never get volte... I know we can live without it and its a beautiful piece of hardware. But evem old lenovo budget set have gotten the volte update...so it was legible to roll it for a flagship grade smartphone.... Anyways now trying to getting rid of it.... I was a lenovo user with many model and years that i've been used. It is true that lenovo lack of support and updates. I've seen their forums and many users asking and complaint the problems but they never give the answer. I just see that most uses with much knowledge about phone they tried to answer and discuss with other user but not from Lenovo tech support. If they keep being like this, they cannot survive any longer. Motorola phones also will affected because of this. Now i'm using xiaomi phone with much better support and good design and quality. Also much cheaper than lenovo phones in Malaysia.

Hey bro, dont panic. It happened with me too, after updating to marshmallow, i was watching vr video on this phone and phone screen suddenly went off, after checking i found that phone is dead. There is a stupid bug in marshmallow update of this phone which lets phone go in deep sleep mode. My battery % was 97 when phone died. NOTE:- you should not give your phone to service centre yet. They will mess it even more. WHAT YOU SHOULD DO IS PUT THE PHONE IS CHARGE FOR HALF HOUR AND THEN KEEP POWER KEY PRESSED FOR 2-3 MINUTES, IF UNSUCCESSFUL YOU CAN TRY POWER+VOL KEY ETC. When your phone is turned on, backup everything and unlock its bootloader and just root it (don't Install any custom rom). JUST INSTALL CUSTOM RECOVERY and ROOT IT. its more than 6 months i haven't got this issue again, I think custom recovery fixes this issue.

press the power button for few min(10-15min) and it will start normally. thats wat happened to me my device suddenly got switched off and unable to boot nor charge i thought it was dead but tried all trick but the one above worked for me and my device working fine

I absolutely understand your pain, I too am a not so proud owner of Lenovo vibe X3. It sucks. It has all the bad vibes. I have got it repaired 3 times in a row, during warranty period. God knows what will happen when it goes out of warranty. I think I will be bankrupt by that time. Hate you Lenovo. If you are an audiophile there are only three phones worth considering in India: 1) Vivo X5Max 2) Lenovo Vibe X3 3) LG V20 Nothing comes close to this trio in terms of sound quality over headphones. PERIOD. That said Vivo V3Max/ V5 Plus with dedicated audio chips from AKM will provide way better sound quality over headphones than current flagship like Samsung s7 Edge, LG G5 or HTC 10.

Yes, I am also daily checking for the update like mad. I am also facing network disconnection in jio. But how will they listen to us? Lenovo please provide bug free update to Vibe X3. I do have Xiomi, which regularly provides updates for all the bugs on time. Lenovo is lacking behind this. Shame on you Lenovo.

This is the phone for audiophiles. I drive my sennheiser hd 650 headphones which are more than twice as expensive as vibe x3. This phone can drive my headphones with ease. Sound quality, transperency and texture are great in vibe x3. Casual listeners with cheap headphones will never be able to fathom this phones true audio capibilty.

Recently I have rekindled my love for Lenovo Vibe X3. It had been with me for past 10 months. After the Marshmallow update however I stopped using this phone as it had many software glitches. However on my friends insistence I have performed five consecutive factory resets recently which have somehow miraculously solved many software issues. :) After almost a year of use below are some pros I found in Vibe X3: 1) This is a true purist audiophile smartphone. It has two dedicated audio paths. The "Turbo Hi-Fi" is for purists using renowned ESS Sabre 9018C2M audio DAC and triple OPA1612 audio amplifier configuration. The sound quality is phenomenal for a smartphone using this mode with incredible amount of gain. You can properly drive high impedance over-the-ear headphone like Sennheiser HD598 with Vibe X3!!! There is only one phone in India which has equal musical prowess of Vibe X3. Vivo X5Max. I own that too. :) The "Standard Hi-Fi" on Vibe X3 is also excellent, as it uses a very high quality Wolfson WM8281 audio codec. I will rate the Vibe X3's "Standard Hi-Fi" to be better sounding than most other smartphones claiming to come with dedicated low quality audio chips like Vivo V3Max or ZTE Nubia Z11. So for an audiophile Vibe X3 is the phone to have. 2) Vibe X3 has the best front firing stereo speakers I have ever come across a phone. Period. The speakers are real musical sounding, decently loud with good separation for a phone. 3) The best 5.5 inch, FullHD IPS LCD display I have ever come across on ANY price band. This display has best color accuracy, color gamut, brightness for a 1080p. I rate Vibe X3 over my quadHD Nexus 6P in terms of display quality alone. That says something. 4) The Snapdragon 808 is really powerful and the 20nm manufacturing process means it does not gets as heated as SD652 or SD653 built on 28nm. The SD808 is also a champ for gaming performance. 5) Decent battery backup with 3500 mAh battery. 6) Good looking, practical with solid built. Very Motorola type. 7) At INR 20K a true value for money flagship. When launched it had no contender. Cons: 1) The well known 4G connectivity issue on all Vibe X3. 2) No VoLTE support. Verdict: Audio lovers should go blindly for it. Also with gorgeous accurate display movie fans will love this phone. Lenovo Vibe X3 is built for them.

I have seen it in many places people keep asking Lenovo Vibe X3 supports Qualcomm Quickcharge 2.0 or not. The quick answer is NO. The support for Quick Charge 2.0 needs to be from hardware level be it the phone or charger. One may purchase a QC 2.0 certified charger but inherent hardware support in Vibe X3 is lacking. So Vibe X3 is unable to draw the amount of power from the charger to charge faster. QC 1.0 was designed to allow a maximum current draw of 2 Amps and voltage of 5 volts equating to 2 X 5 = 10 watts of power from charger to phone. These 10 watt charger are most common these days. QC 2.0 was designed to allow a maximum current draw of 3 Amps and voltage of 5/ 9/ 12 volts equating to 3 X 5 = 15 watts OR 3 X 9 = 18 watts OR 3 X 12 = 36 watts of power from charger to phone. Of these three types 15 watts of power at minimum is required to be consumed by phone hardware to be a QC 2.0 qualified phone. However a respected Chinese review website IGAO7.com measured Lenovo Vibe X3 to draw a maximum current draw of 1.1 Amps and voltage of 9.3 volts equating to 1.1 X 9.3 = 10.23 watts. Hence it which falls short of 15 watt minimum requirement to a QC 2.0 qualified phone. However I have no gripes as my Vibe X3 reaches 0 to 100% battery in 2 hours 10 mins flat which is acceptable. I believe this is due the aggressive pricing of this phone at just INR 20K in India where as in China it was selling for INR 25K. Because to be QC 2.0 qualified Lenovo not only needed to put a more expensive power management chip in Vibe X3 but more importantly pay a per phone royalty fee to Qualcomm for using their technology. Hope this helps!!!

This is a very common problem on all Lenovo Vibe X3. The 4G data connectivity is very inconsistent and it keeps dropping after every 5 mins or so. Then within 5 to 10 secs it will again regain 4G connectivity. This particularly happens for me over Reliance JIO & Airtel 4G connections. I have tried the same sims with my Vivo X5Max or Vivo V3Max and they work fine. So the culprit is the modem used in Vibe X3 and/ or the firmware controlling it. Hope Lenovo resolves this issue with Android Nougat update which is scheduled for Q2 of 2017.

Lenovo Vibe X3 is a great phone with somewhat mundane software. So the user experience left a lot to be desired. Even after Marshmallow android version upgrade some months back the phone does not have the user experience of similarly priced Vivo V3Max. I have been using vibe x3 for about 3 months now and i love every part of it....if u r like me and love to hang around youtube and listen to songs and play games nothing even comes to its level the front facing speakers are a bliss i have a secondary iphone 6s and it's literally shit in comparison to the sound quality through the speakers....the performance of the vibe is stable nothing unique tho gets the things done you expect a smartphone to...playing heavy games hasnt really been much of a burden it runs most of the titles rather smoothly without any sort of heating....the only downside to this phone is the camera which is rather mediocre but u can get decent shots if u know what you are doing front facing camera is rather good tho...all in all if u like media consumption and are not really into modding and putting custom roms and overclocking and all of the other shit that phones were never made to be ...u shouldn't really have any other problems.

Guys, I have this phone and use it regularly. This phone excels every other phone in hardware and I bet there is not another phone in this price that can even come close to this phone. The music capabilities of this phone using a ear phone blows out any iPhone or iPod or any god damn phone and I can challenge on that any day. I am an audiophile and I was blown away the moment I plugged in the ear phones. The kind of sound depth, detail and audio separation is unseen in any phone and just phenomenal. In one word the music quality is simply mind blowing tbh. No wonder this phone is out of stock ALWAYS online as it's well worth your penny just for this reason. I have the Vibe X3 C70 64gb hexa core running Android 6.01 and its just fine for me, sound is great, it does not freeze or hang, more than happy with this phone, for multimedia, you cannot beat the sound and picture for the price. If you want the cheaper version with octa core then you will still get the Dolby Atmos sound and the same screen and for just over £100 quid you are getting a lot of bang for your buck.

Sorry to know your loss. Personally I have given up on Lenovo, their flagship Vibe X3 is currently a mere paperweight to me. This phone has serious hardware & software issues. This phone does not support VoLTE, hence Jio voice calls are absent. Even using my Vibe X3 just for data with Jio or Airtel sims it has serious hardware issues looses tower with frequent disconnections. This phone is good only as a 3G device. Also the software of Vibe X3 is super buggy. I have wasted my heard earned money on this pathetic device. My two year old half as expensive 4G phones like Vivo Y27L works like charm with Airtel or Jio 4G data, but not this one. Truly regreat buying. :-(

HI Jimmmmi, VoLTE stands for Voice over LTE, currently 4G is all around for high-speed internet , in early days of 4G , unlike in 3G user could not make calls on 4G network but data only, then VoLTE came into the picture that enables voice calling on 4G , nowadays advance 4G networks are VoLTE enabled, if not then surely they will switch to it for sure. Vibe X3 doesn't have VoLTE so it will not be a good idea to have such phone through which you could not make calls. Third party apps provide such option but experience is very poor & worst and you will have to remain connected through internet to make calls.

When I bought my Lenovo Vibe X3 I thought this was it. The ultimate multimedia centric phone that I want. At the beginning it was just fine, but with time the software got slow, laggy and finally froze few times. Then came Marshmallow update, I believe the most buggy Android software upgrade in the history of smartphone. And most importantly I found the audio quality over headphones are a notch below my Vivo X5Max. So I returned using my X5Max as audio is very important for me. Later I bought the Vivo V3Max, a more powerful phone at similar price of Vibe X3 but a more polished product. If anybody is looking for a multimedia centric phone get the V3Max. Every spec is better, except for single speaker but oh-boy it is as loud as Vibe X3.

as i said earlier i`m totally satisfied with it and that there goes nothin wrong with it. i bought it two months ago and it already came with android 6. no bugs so far. think u should upgrade buddy. earlier versions of android are less stable and not supported by some softwares.

Surprising but there is no VoLTE after update to marshmallow, if you have not purchased yet then do not go for this device, it will be of no use in spite of multiple other features.

Hi, Even i am facing this problem lately, and trust me there is no problem with your handset as far as my handset is concerned. This is because there might be chances of your USB cable got damaged or the Power socket is getting Ground current to the socket which is the prime cause. Mostly i found this is happening in Cold climates.. Try charging your from different power socket. For me i face this problem not so often but i can say that the issue is not with the headset. If you wish you can try charging other handset with the same power socket, they will also act like the same. For now i am charging my device via a power bank and it works perfectly fine. Hope this helps.

Yes they are. I am using both handsets Lenovo Vibe X3 and Vivo V3Max, and so far the Lenovo user experience is quite painful. Quite the opposite with Vivo, as I am having flawless user experiences while using Reliance Jio and Vodafone SIMs in dual SIM configuration in my V3Max. This Vivo is a GOD sent handset for VoLTE users. In V3Max I am downloading movies at over 500 kbps speed completely free with JIO sim. And I can hear the difference of HD calls through jio and 2g calls of Vodafone. HD is even shown in the display while making or receiving calls over JIO. Hats off to Reliance for providing us this awesome free offer.

I had the same problem on a different model and it was rectified by the service people. There is a chip on the mother board which charges the mobile. This chip can be replaced. If you have warranty on the mobile then tell the service people to charge it till 100% and then show it to u. They will say the mobile is charging and handover to you and you will face the same trouble. Hope u get it!

I know that very well, it has been well over 9 months since t got my Lenovo Vibe X3. In this period, the shabby OTA android updates for Lenovo have turned this brilliant phone to a worthless device. Sound quality degraded with each upgrade, Dolby ATMOS have almost no effect and the speaker volume have gone ever since. I am a music lover and look for phones with great sound over headphones. As such I always recommend Vivo X5Max if someone is looking for the ultimate sound quality over headphones in a phone. It has been my primary device since Jan, 2015 and I am desperate need for a replacement but cannot find one!!! I thought Vibe X3 will be that phone, but X5Max was better in terms of sound quality the day I bought Vibe X3 and compared the same with my RHA T20 & Cowon EK2 earphones and now X5max is even better. With every update when X5Max grew stronger, Vibe X3 became weaker. Even the latest ZTE Axon 7 which I had the honor to use for a day is nowhere near X5Max where audio over headphones are concerned. Anybody looking from this phone should first consider phones like Vivo V3Max or Xiaomi Mi Max with Snap 652.

Hi, The phone is good. Front and rear camera is satisfactory under day light. Its a complete music phone without any doubt. The only problem is Lenovo software bugs but it is still can be ignored if under Lollipop. I have not updated to Marshmallow yet.

Lenovo is not for customer's but for money, K5 is newly released phone & in India Jio has launched which is VoLTE capable, all other manufacturers giving VoLTE in almost all of their phones , Lenovo sucks big in this case, Lenovo has only one phone VIBE SHOT which has VoLTE, see how much they are ignorant about this feature, in case of K5 note , that is newly launched phone, they are bound to provide VoLTE otherwise it will lack big.

No it does not have FM radio and Lenovo has confirmed that it will not provide VoLTE, so please avoid this phone. As voice calling is top most feature & phone is LTE but you won't be able to make a voice call if not using any app(which gives a bad experience).

Congratulations for the new Lenovo Vibe X3. Audio quality is sublime on this phone with best inbuilt speakers on Indian market. For audio over headphones, Vivo X5Max is the best, but Vibe X3 comes a close second. For budget earphones look for none other than Cowon, their legendary EM1 and even better EK2 selling in Flipkart.

Its almost 18 days I am using this phone. The phone is solidly built by Lenovo. I have not updated to Marshmallow yet. There are some minor issues in Lollipop. But still very good to use. Using dual SIM. With heavy usage, it gives 1 day of battery. Waiting for custom ROMs like CyanogenMod. Camera quality is excellent under day light. In night its ok. Music quality is awesome through speakers and earphone both. I have ordered Sony mdr ex250 to test. Will update more on this phone.

Under broad daylight V3Max & Vibe X3 picture qualities are very good, no winners here. But under low lit conditions and aritificial lighting V3Max is better. Megapixels is camera is there to denote how large the picture, NOT quality. I also find the Vivo camera app to be more intuitive, but yours may vary. Overall to me V3Max is a clear winner.

I own this phone but do not use. Do not get me wrong but Vibe X3 has a lot of software bugs. The UI and software seems like a half hearted approch and gets slow over time. Go to Amazon and read the recent reviews and you will find out of 10, nine are not happy with the phone. A year had passed and a lot of new options are now available, go for them. Good phones like ZUK Z2, Xiaomi Mi Max and Vivo V3Max comes in my mind. My current daily driver is V3Max and I love this phone.

The applications are set not to run in the background unless you change this default setting , you can do that as follows: 1- Go to settings 2- Power Manager 3- Background app management 4- Allow the application you want to run in the background to get notification even device is locked.

i bought lenovo vibe x3 phone a few mnths back, i feel max to max pros and few cons pros ; camara is awesome ,i compared with other mbiles less than 20k ,x3 is awesome during day time and ngt time with dual flash. video recordng is superd with 4k recordng.suports 4k videos with awesome display clarity. hardware is gud with sanpdragon 808 and finger print sensor. music is gud with loud and clear,no need of extra speakers . . cons: software problem after updated to marshlow, lolipop was gud with exclnt batry backup. after update , few app notificatns are not geting. auto brghtness problem after update. hybrid slot is a con,phne with such a cam needs more extrnl memry for videos and pics.wel using OTG u can transfer to extrnl device. VolTe is not available in this phone,which is a new problem added becuse of jio voice service. heating problem during playng games and chargng. finaly, i feel it is a awesome with such a hardware and specs. but aftr update so many problms i m facng mainly softwre bugs,batry,few app notificatn problm. hope . . lenovo wil fix softwre problms with an update for volte,bugs,notificatn problm

Both from the speaker and earphone. I have not check the quality of the rear camera but the front camera is fine to use. I will provide more update on the phone.

V3max doesn't have a better display. It might have really high brightness but it does not match the color and contrast of Vibe x3. Price wise, they are almost similar. Vibe x3 has better audio quality too. Camera is better too, not just pixels.

Bought it 3 weeks back. really happy with the phone, great build, superb audio and nice camera. Actually I compared the camera to my friend's S6 camera and I found X3 camera shows far more original colors and S6 overexposes a bit. Darker yellow comes out as light yellow.

I understand your points but at the end you do not own a vivo v3max. I have been using both and i feel v3max is better. I can use volte reliance sim in v3max but vibe x3 do not support it. The display of v3max is better, so bright that in direct sunlight no visibility problems. Camera quality is same for both phones, don't count megapixels. Also more powerful processor more ram are always welcome even if you don't care. Lastly v3max has compass sensor as it comes with its dedicated compass app. V3max is also cheaper thsm vibe x3.

I've been reading a lot of praises about Vivo V3 Max in this thread. Let me tell you why I find Vivo inferior to Lenovo X3. 1. Compass Sensor: Vivo V3 Max does not have a compass. This Sensor allows me to navigate seamlessly as it gives pinpoint directions to wherever I'm headed to. Lots of apps require both gyroscope and compass for them to work in a great way. Maps, Pokemon Go, Speedometer GPS, etc are all dependent on both. 2. Infrared Sensor: I work in a media company where we have lots of televisions installed. At times, the Tv/stb remotes are missing from my workstation, and my phone comes in real handy in such situations! Plus, you can control ACs, Car audio systems as well using this Sensor. Vivo V3 Max users can't benefit any of these. 3. NFC: Though it's application is still growing in India, but in my organisation wd use something called HID Mobile access. It allows my phone to use as an access card to open doors. This app can't be used without an NFC, a feature unavailable in Vivo V3 max. NFC is the future, it allows you to pay at merchant outlets just by letting your phone touch the chip reader. I can keep my phone above an NFC tag to ensure a certain sound profile is activated. It can connect wireless headphones without the hassle of pairing using Bluetooth, rather by just a contact via NFC beam! 4. Camera: Many have been complaining about poor picture quality shot from Lenovo X3. IMO, there's no phone that can shoot good photos in low light. When i fully zoom in to a particular frame, I still get clarity! The 'blur background' feature (a bit tough to master at) blew my mind! Slo-mo, ability to shoot 4k quality video, are some more features unavailable in Vivo V3 Max! 5. Sound: Lenovo X3 has two front grill stereo speakers. With the DAC chip, and Dolby Atmos plugin, I can ensure that the sound output is of utmost quality and clarity! Yes X3 has lower ram (3gb), a hexa-core processor (V3 Max has octa-core); but that's it! I can play all games without a lag, the OS is super smooth. AnTuTu benchmark gives it a low rating, but I just don't care! There a few bugs here and there, but one can live with it! Don't update to marshmallow (one can easily live with lollipop). At 20k, this phone is a beast.

All is good in Lenovo Vibe X3 except for the patchy software. I ordered my Vibe X3 the day it got launched in India and had been suggesting it to anybody who wanted the best phone under INR 20k. But that was when it came with the factory Android Lollipop OS. After those crappy OS updates started to rain, this incredible phone was destroyed. Now I do not recommend it to anyone. I will suggest you to have a look at Vivo V3Max (INR 19K), a phone I am very happy with and worthy contender of Vibe X3.

yes, Vibe x3 hardware is the best in range, but software updates from Lenovo is bad of all time, always buggy software/OS updates, Lenovo is not rich in this area, this is flagship device , in spite of this it does not support VoLTE which is the main feature of 4G technology nowadays. So avoid Vibe x3 or any Lenovo device. I am a Lenovo Vibe X3 user from past 8 months too.

Full Reliance Jio support is only possible if your phone supports two separate 4G bands: 1) FDD-LTE 1800 -> Used for data in Jio 2) FDD-LTE 850 -> Used for voice (VoLTE calls) The FDD-LTE 1800 is the most popular 4G band in India, all 4G phones old or new will support it. Hence surfing the Internet and using data with Jio sim can be done with any 4G phone available in India. But Reliance have introduced a new tech in India which for phone calls using VoLTE by using the rare FDD-LTE 850 band, which frankly was never before used in India and hence no manufacturer bothered to include in their phones. Phones like my Lenovo Vibe X3 and Vivo X5Max being a generation old supports FDD-LTE 1800 out of the box, hence data works fine with Jio SIM. Newer generation phones like my Vivo V3Max supports both 4G bands, hence it has full support for Jio be it data or voice. Reliance must have understood, nobody will change their phone so as to use their SIM. Hence they have created their own app which will record your voice in real time convert it into data and sent it at FDD-LTE 1800 as all older gen phones support them. So for calls using their app the newer VoLTE specific FDD-LTE 850 band will not be used. I use this app with my Vibe X3 & X5Max and it works fine. But as someone pointed out earlier, you ALWAYS have to keep the data ON, so as to receive phone calls using Jio sim in Vibe X3 or X5Max. For me it is a big pain, as now I need to be extra careful as background data may get download and auto updates taking place which will only trigger higher phone bills!!! Also you become the slave of this Jio app, your phone's native dialer won't work. Hence I use my Jio SIM only with my Vivo V3Max as it supports both FDD-LTE 1800 & FDD-LTE 850 bands and I do not need this Jio app anymore. So with V3Max the Jio SIM acts just like a normal connection. Hope this helps!!!

Yes this mobile support rel jio sim in any sim card slot but this is not support volte. So no call from default dialer, you can use jio4gvoice app for calling from jio sim.

Yes this is the major issue for phones like vibe x3. They support the data band used by reliance jio FDD-LTE 1800, so internet/ data works just fine. But the VoLTE band that takes the voice in JIO is FDD-LTE 850 which is not supported by vibe X3. hence you have to always use the jio app for calls. AND YOU HAVE TO KEEP THE DATA ALWAYS ON TO GET CALLS ON VIBE X3. If you switch it off you will be unable to access internet and voice. But phones like vivo v3max which i own supports both bands, so even if i switch off data the calls works fine like any normal connection. I also do not have to use any jio app for calls. This was one of them main reasons i went for vivo rather than vibe x3 as both costs the same. v3max is more future proof.

yeah both the slots are 4G LTE supported :) but when you use sim1 for 3G/4G then sim2 becomes 2G and viceversa and anytime you can switch between sim's to be superior by turning off the another sim and turning on in sim options...

Unfortunately those two Vivo models are not available internationally. So we have to import from China devoid of Google play services. That is a no go for me as I cannot exist without Google ecosystem. Secondly, I have heard x6 plus and I rate x5max better than it. Remember the only phone with HIFI 2.0 architecture is vivo x5max and the only one with HIFI 3.0 is xplay5 elite. I found x5max to have better separation and more tonally accurate where as x6plus is warm sounding. In terms of audio quality over headphones: x5max > vibe x3 > x6plus > Axon 7 I am yet to hear xplay5 elite, hence cannot comment.

I have heard music on this phone for extended periods of time over headphones and the sound quality is sublime. That said even the best hardware may not produce the best sounding machine as circuit designing is also important. Then there are other aspects like tuning of sound by professional sound engineers. In this respect I believe the vivo x5max is the best sounding phone over headphones. It's my third week of usage after I bought this device. I was already given a heads up by many existing users to jot to update it to marshmallow, credit to this forum and that of other websites. Without any kind of updates, i think the performance overall is kickass! No lags, a few manageable bugs here and there. I must confess I had high expectations from the camera, but they aren't that great, unfortunately. Nonetheless, this phone is a powerful device, loaded with sensors and hidden features which I am sure many shall like!

I upgraded my phone to marshmallow last week. I was holding back the upgrade decision due to many negative feedback but then i decided to the the risk. For me i did not find any issues with the MM. Battery backup improved for me, also sound quality through dual speakers is enhanced a lot. RAM is around 1GB free on average. no camera lag issues. I am very happy with the upgarde. PS. Worst phone I ever had. Bought it April 20, 2016 via SpeMall. First went the front camera, it died within the first three days after I had unpackaged the phone. Then I've noticed, that pictures made by the rear camera are absolutely not so good as they should be with all those megapixels promised by manufacturer, focusing is poor and there are too much noise. And now after trying to install the Marshmallow via OTA update the phone died completely, the volume and power buttons are only usable so "far" that I am able to open the Lenovo reset screen, but even hard reset does nothing. The phone is only 3 months old.

My goodness, this would be the perfect phone for me if it had US (AT&T) bands for LTE, but sadly it does not. On a side not, the newer ZTE Axon 7 looks strikingly similarly, so perhaps ZTE was inspired? This is truly a beautiful phone, so I guess, unless Lenovo decides to create a US variant of this phone (doubtful), I'll just end up getting the Axon 7 for similar looks. Sadly, the Axon 7 has a smaller battery and a larger pixel density, so it's battery life won't even compare.

Hi guys.. i found a bug in this mobile while unlocking phone. When we put some screen lock like a password or pattern then I opened camera from lock screen then it automatically unlocks screen without entering a password or drawing a pattern even without fingerprint is not touched. Plus is outstanding, treat his customer premium, service and updates should also be like flagship if phone is claimed, no use of hardware if poor software runs on it... Just today i updated My Lenovo Vibe X3 with Marshmallow Update which was of 1711MB and my opinion.. 1. I have up to 1.2gb of free ram & it l reduce to 800mb after all apps starts, and also mobile is fast with no lag 2. I read few comments that volume is reduced but in my case no change in volume. 3. Phone Heats up soon... 4. Widgets is completely removed so n option to use it.. 5. Some bugs have to be fixed.. 6. Battery is not getting drained fast so need to fix it. 7. I didnt see fast charging in lollipop and even now after this Marshmallow Update its same.. it takes 2 to 3 hours... Overall mobile is smooth and fast in my usage...

How stupid to take up the secondary sim slot if one needs to expand the memory. Plus non removable battery. SO basically if I am screwed for the battery, I will be having to go to company centre to get my phone serviced, new battery pushed and waste my precious money. Good to know you have done so much research. Vibe X3 is a great multimedia centric phone and a great VFM product. I own this phone and I know how good it is from spec side. Can you through some pointers about vibe x3 parts view and teardown? I want to know whats inside this phone. Apart from specs there is also something known as user experience. The seamless experience that my vivo x5max delivers today cannot matched by botched up ota updates from lenovo. The rest 10% are very critical to how audio is produced in the phone and how highly loyal it is to the original sound. In that sense Vivo X5Max and Lenovo Vibe X3 is special. These two smartphones uses DACs, I/V converters and headphone amplifiers from professional audio chip manufacturers like ESS and Texas Instruments and also their best technology available. Secondly they have dedicated secondary power supplies for these audio chips which 99% smartphones lack. This power supply provide pristine and jitter free power to DACs and headphone amplifiers to operate at their maximum to remain highly loyal it is to the original sound. I also want to point-out it is only audio quality which is important to me in a smartphone, but also the complete user experience. High quality audio starts with lossless audio files like FLAC. So to me X5Max comes with best music player and best sound quality which provides the winning audio experence. Unfortunately for Vibe X3 we get the Google Music Player which does not support FLAC. You use download free apps like VLC player but the experience leaves a lot to desired in comparison to property apps like Vivo "i-Music". Hope this helps!!!

In terms of audio quality over headphones in phones Vivo X5Max is on top of my list. Lenovo Vibe X3 is right there and just misses the top spot by a whisker. Ofcourse we may have other phones which are as good as these two in sound quality aspect, but I speak on Indian context availability. Vivo Xplay5 Elite is one such example which is not available internationally. X5Max have much better built quality than Vibe X3, and looks & feels more premium/ upmarket while X3 have better specs than X5Max. Vivo X5Max runs on old android Kitkat but is super stable while Vibe X3 comes with latest marshmallow but Lenovo's OTA updates are very unstable. The truth is X5Max is a 2015 flagship while Vibe X3 is a 2016 flagship. So we should not compare on specs. I bought Vibe X3 to replace my X5Max, but with very unstable android updates rolling out from lenovo it completely destroying my user experience. So now again I am back to X5Max as my primary device, the phone i love. This phone has wow factor, thin factor of just 5.1mm and built like a tank. Over headphones sound slightly better than Vibe X3 with rock solid performance I prefer X5Max over Vibe X3 any day. But this are my personal thoughts and experiences and others may vary. To me Vivo X5Max & Lenovo Vibe X3 have set a benchmark in terms of audio quality and headphone volume levels which others are still to surpass.

I too faced heavy battery drain post update to marshmallow. In settings went to power manager and checked power consumption. Found Android system consuming 38 percent of battery even in night when phone is idle. Then went to WLAN settings and found out that in advance settings of WLAN a particular option "Keep WLAN on during sleep" was set by default as always. Changed the same to never. Now I find battery life normal as in lollipop. Please check and see if this helps.

My vibe x3 is working properly with no issues. After the update it has become more snappy/quick than previous. Not facing any issues about wifi or even the battery consumption is similar, there is no improvement in battery drainage.

Hi for screen overlay problem the following has worked for few of them: 1. go to apps and press the settings ( gear symbol on the right) and you can find draw over other apps. Select that and change the same to 'no' for wide touch. For some this has worked. 2. Else change to no for all apps listed and then try to allocate permissions tour apps which may work. 3. In my case both the above didn't work. Finally, found out that the floating button on the screen for switching between secure zone to open Zone was the culprit in my case. Removed the same by disabling it in settings. Problem is now solved for me. Hope one of the above solution works for you.

Guyz with none of ur opinions i updated to marshmellow ,got excellent results ,no battery draining ,some were saying music volume got reduced but for me still remains the same, app lock with fingerprint works flawless and only thing which i noticed was the ram usage it is now in 1079 mb free before it was about 2138 mb in lollypop P.S: I'm a hardcore gamer and music lover for me it works like a charm those who say very filmsy issues like overheating pls growup ppl as if u need ur phn to work fast it sometimes gets warm with high usage u have to come with it not to complain ,no phn in this world will remain cool when u r using it high and on charging and those who get screen overlay detected error it is found in only simlar builds like in 138 or so ,kindly check with the device in lenovo authorised service centres. after upgrade to Marshmallow you can set 5 finger prints and App Lock too. However I have set only 1 finger and not feeling any requirement to do App lock. But you will have only 500 MB RAM most of the time. After taking pic by camera default app to view the pic will hang always and not even a single time it will work. You will not have Call duration details. You can see only what time any call was made that's it. If RAM is only not there then multiple apps will hang always. If you install MX Camera or "A better Camera" app and try to take photo in High Dynamic mode it will stop responding and camera app will not work, you can use just simple options of that camera, may be it is happening due to not having enough memory. I wish I could have gone back to Lollipop till 51 MB update. I am giving a honest experience after upgrade.

Updated Lenovo VIBE X3 to Android 6.0.1 facing many issues. 1. Camera lag when viewing any clicked picture. 2. battery drain fast. 3. Speaker loudness reduced. 4. Camera quality is not good need to improve it in next update. 5. UI lags sometimes when using phone after a long standby. 6. Brightness is reduced, screen is not that bright as it was in Lollipop(Android 5.0). 7. Wi-Fi issues, sometimes unable to get speed from Wi-Fi. Found some fixes too. Those who have problems with camera they can install Google camera for there device and use Google photos as there default Gallery app. Google camera take a way better picture than SnapIt(Lenovo's default camera app). I have currently installed Cyanogen camera(modded) and Google camera in my device Cyanogen camera hels me to take 50MP pictures because of which the qualtiy and sharpness comes good in pictures.

Vibe X3 is a good phone, but I personally cannot give you the guarantee how will it behave after Lenorola android upgrades. Frankly for the past months I am sick with this phone, with each update solving some bugs and bringing a dozen other. I also use smartphones from another brand named Vivo like their X5Max and V3Max. Vivo do not do any android version upgrades, but atleast their phones are rock solid both from the hardware side as well as software. Vivo software updates does not bring any bugs atleast. As such my daily driver is a Vivo X5Max. I also had a few old Motorola devices like 1st Gen Moto G which were stellar devices for its price with zero android update bugs.

Updated marshmallow. Following are the observations. 1. Phone is butter smooth in operation. 2.Ram management does not seem to be great. Only 1.3 GB is available on first boot. On use of a number of apps reduces to 500 MB or less. However, importantly despite of lesser ram none of the applications lag or hang. 3. Heating is reduced. Temperature does not go beyond 36 degrees even on continuos heavy usage. Used to go beyond 40 in lollipop. 3.upto 5 fingerprint can be set up and fingerprint can be set up as app lock. However after phone is in idle condition for long does not unlock with fingerprint and sometimes asks for pattern as additional security.But this happens only sometimes. 4. Sound on speaker is reduced. Volume level needs to be raised to full unlike in lollipop. Not as loud as earlier in lollipop. Hope update improves the same. Not a major con for me as I use headphones more than speaker. Not too bad though. 4. Sound quality on headphones seems to be the same but loudness is reduced. 5.All apps after installation ask for permissions when used for first time. If any permission is not granted apps crash or do not open. Even contact manager didn't work when few permissions were denied. 6. Charging time is the same for battery. Battery back up seems to be same as in lollipop for me. 7.Reset after installation of marshmallow is better to be done for best performance I did a factory reset before and after installation of marshmallow. My recommendation is to go for the update if your priority is performance. Performance of phone has definitely improved and is extremely smooth after update , except for audio which may be set right in future updates. If audio on speaker is your main priority you may wait for sometime. Thanks to lenovo for providing marshmallow, but release an update soon to set audio quality back to top notch as it was in lollipop.

Don't update bro, you will only 900 MB RAM after upgrade and wide touch has to disabled for the settings for Screen Overlay Detected error message, otherwise all applications will stop working due to this error message. Not finding any better experience comparing to Lollipop OS in Vibe X3, you can update till last update that was 51 MB, then don't upgrade it Marshmallow.

Updated as soon as it's arrived... Couldn't able to wait for report... Initially didn't do factory reset... Had issues of force close and Google play services update problem.. Then did reset.. And restarted once more... since then it's butter smooth.. More functional.. Beautiful .. No problem..i don't feel much difference in sound in both ways.. camera is almost same ad before.... there are two issues i have though... It should have been added volte function.. My motto x play had a 19 mb update 2 days ago just to add that functionality... So it's not wrong to hope with vibe... And apps auto start control has been removed... Now my Facebook and messenger get self starts itself and eats battery..i have to greenify them manually... Anyways all and all a very good and much needed update...

You can lock individual apps using fingerprint, no 3rd prty app required. 180° rotation available. no fast battery drain problems getting 3hrs 55min(aprox 4hrs) of screen on time from 100%-49% in normal usage like browsing,watsap,videos. no sound/dolby problems. no heating issue. No multitasking feature available in developer option. Ram management, we get aprox 1.5gb ram. In guest mode device lags a bit.

bought this as a gift to my wife due to its excellent audio output... absolutely awesome audio output. i find the ui to b laggy by a second compared to other top end devices but im nt bothered abt it. i can play my games like wwe immortals without any lags and absolutely happy with the battery performance . iam not a pro with camera settings and always use auto mode and the pictures with the rear and front cam are more than decent though not upto the 21mp camera as suggested . overall happy with the performance of the phone..

I did not perform a factory reset as I have lot of data in the internal memory. Don't want the hassle of backing up data and restoring it.. its just very time consuming. I am fed up of doing a factory reset after updating the software every time. I was happier using Note 4. The only thing holding me with this phone is the Sound Quality. Its just awesome. Dolby just blasts the ears paired with JBL headphones !! Update : Phone is not performing well. even when i use whatsapp to reply to a message, it feels very jerky. Hi before Vibe x3 I had Lenovo z2 pro... The z2 was just perfectly perfect for me.. After that I bought this... Yes everything is fine but I dont know if it is only mine mobile but the buttons on the right side are not working well.. I need to push them realy hard sometimes if I want to use them.. I love Lenovo by itself (I dont use any other tech like apple or idk) but this vibe x3 is a disapointment and yes it is only because of those stupid buttons but if you had to fight with them everyday for 2-3 times or more you would understand... Anyway I wont change Lenovo for anything else and I hope this was just my (un)luck on this certain mobile... And yeap... Mobile is clean and there is no way something is stuck there because it is all the time in the case... The mobile is the same as I bought it..

I am facing battery drain issue maybe I need to do a factory reset I heard somewhere that we need to do reset after new update, maybe then my problem of lag and battery would be fixed you are right about audio it's lot better than before even normal(no Dolby on) is loud and clear. most of the old bugs are fixed, and screen is more bright than before(at100% bright) and is very clear in outdoor as well. Guys I did the new update and trust me there is no problem.My Antutu benchmark score is 71k and there is no issue of lag..I m noticing that my audio output has increased but I m not so sure about it..No dropping sound for sure,no lag,no swipe pattern problem plus those who are planning to get volte support.i don't think so lenovo will give us that.This phone is still better than mi5 which is 5 k more expensive and u guys still whine about everything.Dont worry at all and just update man..We will get marshmallow update by July end for sure..Cheers to Lenovo for creating such a beast

Back & front cameras pic details are superb in daylight & Fair enough in low light.. (but not as good as LG G4) Battery backup 14hrs -18 hrs (with internet use) Display also good in outdoor too. Some lenova function are awesome like double tap screen off,types of customized display as per user..etc.. Performance is Good for tye price.. Fingerprint sensor doesn't work's if we put finger crossed..(work's only in straight) but very fast.. Overall one of the Best smartphone with in 20,000/- range

In few days RELIANCE JIO glory N VOLTE days r beginning,,,,,,, This phone don't support LTE N VOLTE,,,,,, So what to do,,,,, buy or forget it ?,,,,,, I really love this phone,,,, If VOLTE is missing, then we have to stop/pause downloading b4 calling someone through 4G,,,,,right? vibe x3 moto x play is an year old device. it doesnt have fingerprint scanner which is the latest technology vibe x3 has 3gb ram, better front camera, ir blaster vibe x3 has sd 808 and moto has sd 615. so 808 is better than 615.

I don't know much about concept of SoC and the chip-based features. according to me snapdragon 650 and 652 'might' be comparable with 808 (650-previously known as 618 and 652-as 720) The 800 series(ie sd808) may seem good on paper but the insane amount of throttling present in it render all that beefy performance as useless. With insane throttling, there is high usage of battery and heating issue. the 600 series(as 650) on the other hand does not throttle much even on high end usage, this saves the battery life. Throttling doesn't really matter it may be a bit more efficient, but won't be visible to an average user or a high end gamer. If gaming is what you do, you are better of with 650. the 650 is better in terms of GPU performance, 510>418

IR blaster doesn't work properly I wanted to control ac, only power off works properly, whenever I tried to power on using remote there's a beep sound coming from ac but it doesn't on and other controls doesn't work either. But TV,it works I am using PEEL Smart remote, even tried with 3rd pay app Has anyone faced the problem. Please help..

The preinstalled doesn't have any issue but has few minor bugs that can be ignored. when you get your device do not update , that update has lots of issue and bugs
