I still have this unit, although its flex cable is kinda worn out, i can still say it's one of the coolest phones ever made. Even if it has one of the old school that has colored lcd, its screen has very clear display. i wish i could find a place where i can get this unit repaired.

I still own the T100, got it back in 2002, it was the coolest phone ever at the time. Eventhough im using a communicator now, im still switching with T100 because of its looks, unique and beautiful. I still have mine in great condition with just minimal scratch.

I samsung t100 model cause it happens to be my only set in the millenium.however, of late due new generate, or maybe not, it no longer supports my opinions;the screen flickers in moments of business,goes off on its own, and worse still, I can no more hear anything a friend says when I receive calls or call anyone of 'em;I no more receive sms and it's 'H-E-C-T-I-C' using t100 now or ever.

I've had this phone since it first came out about 3 or 4 years ago. I've never had a days trouble with it, it's awesome.. I'd hate to think of how many times I've dropped it and yet it still works perfectly. Definately a good investment.

ive had this phone for 3 years and it has never caused a problem for me. only now have i decided to look for a new phone bcz i have had no need to get a fashion phone - i have a digital camera n i have an mp3 player n i have a computer. even though the T100 didnt have much memory n no amazin features, it is a great phone and hasnt let me down. the reception is great and usin WAP has been fine to download ringtones or backgrounds. im feelin sad about getin a new phone bcz i have become very attatched to it. its still in very good shape even though i have dropped a many a times on concrete, it hasnt screwed up hehe. what a great phone it is, the first samsung colour screen :D

hi...i just bought samsung t100 phone yesterday, but i've noticed that there is a problems with my brand new phone....when someone is calling my number...my phone autimatically reject the call and transfer it to the phone voicemail....i've reset (using 0000 as the code) the setting for many times but the problems still appear...when i received any call,the it will automatically become a missed call number and then record the caller voice...maybe you have any idea to help my situation regarding this matter..thanks a lot...

This is the worst phone I've ever bought. The plastic aerial thingy is loose, had to take it back the registered dealer to stick it down. The reception is terrible, especially in a building, any building. Making a call is almost impossible most times, and the speaker volume is too low so you can barely hear the other person. The silver 'paint' scrapes off/fades easily, so you have splotches of an ugly deep grey on the phone unless you buy a cover. Otherwise, it's quite pretty, but it's really not worth it unless you get it absolutely free. I'm throwing mine away TODAY.

For people who have not used a Samsung phone before...I would strongly recommend to play with this phone first...it gives you the most simplistic and basic functions and bone structure of Samsung menu layouts...and it has still good enough features as now one of the cheaptest phones out in the market...

i wouls still recommend buying this phone, I have just replaced it with the almost perfect LG 8110, but this phone is more than good enough for anyone. I gave mine to my girlfriend. This phone lacks on a few of the more modern features, but looks nice, and is small.

Very good one ! I just buy it and I like it very much ! Before buying T100 I try some Nokia and I must tell you that 6100, 3510, 7650, 5100 and 6610 sucks big time. (all TESTED) Also Simens phones are nice but the new C55 and S55 sucks big time. (very LOW rinf tones and poor sound). So SAMSUNG is the way for the moment. Go get one ;)

i bought the T100 a week ago , and after reading a lot of reviews + user opinions i thought of sharing my comments about the phone ... this phone is not the Best out there when it comes to features like GPRS, BLUETOOTH etc..but then agian i`m not much of a fan of these technologies , i use my phone mostly for SMS and the occasional phone calls - for which i think this phone does very very well, the mic comes close to your mouth so that uneasy feeling which i`ve had for soo many years with nokia,etc is no longer felt ... the overall looks of the phone like everybody might allready know is excellent, the colour screen is an active matrix display which when compared to passive matrix displays such as nokia 7210 (my other option) does not have a ghosting problem ( see www.mobile.burn.com for more info)so basically you get a clear+bright display which again point towards the low talktime+standby ... some people say that the startup and shutdown tones of the phone are annoying ( which is true ) but what most people dont know that all these tones and themes, which are not customizable from the phone itself can be customised with other software (Eg - GFX Editor see www.mobile.mods.net for more info)there are alot of fimware flashes if You need to get the best outa your phone, a quick search on the net will bring up some.. all in all my budget was not limited and i wanted to buy the best phone for my moneys worth this phone cost me about US$300, but after looking at the features and the usability of soo many phones out there the only two phones i will recommend to anyone. THAT is the semens S55 OR the samsung T100 ...why ? casue MOST and i mean MOST people out there dont know that nokia phones once a problem occurs is not easly repairable :) soo if U still wanna buy nokia make sure U get a warrenty - cause if your phone is not a 8250 ..U will most probably need it !!! Looks great, sounds great and has some nice gadgets and gimicks but there are so many annoying usability issues with this phone it should be considered only for teenage fashion victims with too much time on their hands. The phonebook looks great but only allows a miserable 12 characters for a name and does not even have the caller groups and assignable ringtones available in Nokia phones years ago. Voice recognition for dialing is so poor as to be pointless in all but a silent location. Not much use in the car where it is really needed. SMS text entry is a dog. No customisable dictionary, no inclusion of names from your phone-book in the dictionary and an annoying menu system for changing between numbers, characters and predictive text. It doesn't check adjoining words when predicting text and the shift key is annoying. The cheesy animated greeting on the small LCD when you switch on and off is childish, stupid and frankly embarrassing and the loud tune it plays when you switch it on and off is REALLY annoying. When you suddenly remember you left your phone on in a funeral or meeting the last thing you want is a loud tune when you switch it off. It's worse when you switch on. The 'phone management software suite' is only for graphics and ringtones - no SMS or phonebook editing/backup features and it uses the antique PC serial port instead of the now standard USB. Of course it's only available for Windoze (another product that looks good but is a dog to use for anything serious). Speaking of ringtones; the SMS alert is non-cutomisable with only four options, 3 of which are useless as they are too subdued to get attention. I only used the WAP browser once and it was so annoying that I haven't bothered since. I wish I had my outstanding Nokia 7110 back - it was designed to be a phone, not a fashion statement. If the Samsung T100 phone sells well it is a great achievement for style over content, I'm ditching mine for a Nokia as soon as my contract allows me.

It's somehow acceptable that the t100 doesn'have business features at all, it was designed as a fancy entertainment mobile but almost all users are complaining about the weak signal, bad battery life and sudden death at the first fall.Anyway, I tried one and it didn't seem to be that bad at all, maybe just a little too expensive...

this phone is just a fu**ing toy, i have broked the display and i can't and the replacement cost around 250$, this phone don't fogive any mistakes one fall and its fuked up.and u can make any call unless u have more than 3 signal lines. after a while the soun of tones becomes very unclear. too much money for nothing.

i had this phone it looks cool and i liked the way you could put pictures and ringtones on via a data cable. Thing i didnt like was the voice dialing idea is really stupid on this phone(u have to set it so every time you open the phone it says "say name" but if you dont want to make a call its really slow). There is no dictionary to add your own words to predicted text and the silver scratches too easy. I like my nokias so i went back.

this phone is real nice, but there is no regular ringers. I've had a change on using some of their phones which are : a100, a200, a300, a400, N100, N200, N220, N620, T100... I don't know why samsungs ate alots of battery!!! trust me, NO MORE THAN 36 HOURS OF NORMAL USING.!!!!! all of my friends ask me why my number so hard to dial, I passed thru a test by myself: using my telephone line to dial the cell number and the result is 1/5 means IT CAN ONLY BE CONNECTED 1 TIME AFTER SEVERAL TIME FAIL. Be careful when you buy SAMSUNG if you don't have enough time to pay extension and ussually moving. Finally, I smell Dogs' meat when touching this phone. I swear

The phone is fantastic. BUT DON'T upgread the software to the T108. It kills your ringtones and pet, it also rubs out all your phone numbers and stops vibrating. And the voice things it says to you are all non-english... DON'T DO IT..

I've got this phone, i live in Australia and i got it as soon as it came out. Bit expensive but it looks great and it was one of the first phones with a colour screen here. But it only has WAP, would of liked GPRS. Games are not bad but sending SMS takes a bit longer compared ot my previous nokia. Good phone, i give it 8.5/10

I have owned a T100 now for about a month, and I have to say there is no substance to its style. Firstly the text messaging system is appalling, there is no character timer, no option to empty your mailbox, you have to press space twice for it to register if you are not using the T9 dictionary and if you are using the dictionary there is no way to add more words permanently. Unbelievibly, I couldn't even find an option to insert a number from my phonebook into a message, an option which was on my 8110i, from about 5 years ago. There is no MMS (or for that matter anyway of sticking on one of those cameras), which means I can't see a real use for the TFT screen, nice as it is, apart from the screensavers. The ringtones are all rubbish, though I have to say they are all louder than the Sony's version of the polyphonic ringers and the fact you can have the vibrate and the ringer on at the same time is a bonus, when compared with my Z7. There is no GRPS or Bluetooth or even a infra red port, which makes backing up my phone book a huge chore, and makes it practically useless for anyone who wants it for anything serious, like linking up to their laptop. Battery life is not all that, though its probably due to the colour screen. I do like its styling though and the easy to use layout of its large buttons. The size is comfortable, and fits well in the hand. In all, if you want something to pose with then get the Samsung T100, it looks good but that, at the end of the day, is not what we use the phone for.

hahaha, *agrees with baybee* i love this phone!!! i also had a nokia before and getting used to where everything is was a bit tricky at first but now it's great. and the "hahaha" was for the light comment! i love that feature! lol. and i like the way you can change what colour it flashes normally as well! but one q, has anyone had trouble with the space button? if i want to write a txt i have to press it twice before it puts a space in... very confusing. anyway, glad you're enjoying your phone. and as for the backgrounds, i love the fact you can put ur own ones up! it's good being able to personalise your phone so much! makes it more individual. plus, everyone that's seen it loves it! it's fun being the envy of everybody! lol

ok i got the fone today.. very nice.. first thoughts on it were: - it looked nice.. granted its not the smallest fone in the world.. but its smaller than the one i had before.. and alot lighter too! - the antena isnt huge like everyone says it is.. - the graphics on it are just outta this world.. - theres not a large range of ringtones.. but that can b sorted easily with some downloads.. - after 30 mins i got used to where everything was on the phone.. - its loud so u can hear it when it beeps altho volume can b changed so its quieter.. whatever u fancy lol - a flashin light to tell u when it has converage (i think lol) - date and time on the front screen.. - when u open it up its thin.. the buttons r easy to press.. easy to open and close the fone. - simple and clear ways to store numbers.. - the choice of different colour schemes for the menu.. - vibration alert.. - clean neat shape.. - quick and easy access to the text message service.. - im just in love with the backgrounds! lol - once uve opened the phone its really light.. fits on ur face well when ur talking unlike the nokia.. it curves so its at ur ear and mouth at the same time *oOoH fancy* lol - quick and easy way to set the time.. hmm what else lol.. i bet this is getting a bit long and boring to read now.. - u can change the contrasts on the phone.. so if u want it lighter or darker.. also u can have it so the buttons on the keypad can stay lit for longer or the brightness or something, - nice large size font so u can read it easily.. erm.. thats all i can think of for now.. im sure i repeated myself alot in that lol o yeh also.. ive been a devoted nokia user.. since my first mobile theyve all been nokias.. and i was really worried bout getting a different make.. but im really happy i did get this fone.. its just more than i could imagine.. much better than any nokia! i dont think a nokia fone could have graphics as good as these.. well maybe they could.. but i like these ones hehe.. bye bye nokia HeLLo samsung lol o O o O o and also wat i like the most *the childish side in me is speaking now* when the phone rings theres this really cool flashy light thing which flashes over about 7 or 8 colours.. so its obvious when someones ringing u.. well thats all i have to say for now.. im sure ill think of somethin else in a lil while.. :o) -xXx-

i have one of these superb phones, and like a user above mentioned, the games are slow, but only if you have one of the animated screensavers switched on. I have my sons pic on my phone and the gaming is faster with just a wallpaper on it. Have fun and hope my advise helps you enjoy the gaming.

I got this phone coz i took gsmarena.com word for it,but when it came to practise,i was somehow dissapointed coz i had an ERICSSON and what a difference!,samsung polyphonic ringtones are unique but not practical( you cant hear them in crowded places), the quality of sound itself is good and clear BUT still not loud enough(compared to THE ERICSSON),you cant make the alarm rings when phone is off(unlike ERICSSON),the clock doesnt support am/pm format(unlike ERICSSON),gsmarena.com said that the T100 has ring groups BUT THAT`S NOT CORRECT!!, battery fair but not good for a 900 mi-ah extended battery!!!,the ear volume is no way near the ERICSSON ear volume!!,anyway this phone is not for the seriuos practical user,so if you`re used to Ericsson...dont buy a samsung!! and if you only wanna show off with a coloured screen phone...then get a T100!.

I've heard that the games are a bit slow to actually get into them but i think it's the perfect size. the nokia 8110 and others like it are far too small and make txting or game play so difficult with the tiny little buttons, but this fone has just the right size screen and buttons, making it very user friendly. i currently own a 7110 which is perfect for size and the navi-roller is a very good feature, but this samsung incorporates the perfectly sized buttons and screen in a fone a lot smaller than my present one. perhaps if it had to be open constantly then it would be a bit big, but i find the size when closed to be small and when open, just right. sorry, love this phone! lol

This phone got problems: 1. Sometimes when u open the lid the screen light remained darken. If u give it a flick it comes on 2. When u have vibrate and melody on sometimes the phone only makes the melody but not vibrate first, as it should be. If someone get this similar problems, share your thought.

I should be getting this phone soon from a friend and i cant wait. i've tried one out and it seems amazing. prices in the UK vary from �360 when bought sim free, to �0 when bought on contract with Orange or T-mobile. The newer V100 is obviously going to have updated features but who needs an extra 15000 colours?! as if you'll notice the difference anyway! plus u know that phone will be at about the same price as the top of the range nokias, so will probably be going for around �600-700 contract free, or �400ish on contract. if anyone knows of good sites for the polyphonic ringtones or a place to download screensavers from could they please put the address on this site. im sure all those ppl out there with one would greatly appreciate it :-D

the phone is great, the supplied software makes it easy to change the included wallpapers and ringtones. But the ringtones r shite, come on samsung, how many 15-35 (fashion conscious age group) people do you know who are into classical music? it's shite! i want more contemporary stuff, or at the very least the software to convert midis i've downloaded from the net into the .mmf files that the phone uses. sort it out or i'm going back to Nokia.

Just got the T100 here in Australia. Though i am a big Nokia user i must say i am pretty impressed with Samsung so far, well done Sam., and though the phone is not perfect what makes it pretty remarkable is the price - some of Nokia's 800 series phones are just as expensive, but lack value for money, ie are indeed overpriced for what you get. A phone like the T100 offers great top techonology compared to what Nokia are willing to give you for the same price- yep older Nokia models such as the Nokia 800 series - and all pretty dodgey phones. Not even paying for quality in this instance. Makes me wonder that perhpas we Nokia fans have been just a little too blinded by our loyality- we should not always prejudice against other brands . Can imagine what Nokia's comparable phones will cost when they come out here in Australia,(Nokia 6610 and 7210 due to come out late this year) ....ooooh v. scary thought. Anyway, i 've broken my loyalty for now and must say i am not disappointed. Love it so far , except for a few things -suppose can't have it all. The pros:-, well ofcourse the LCD screen, and the fact that you can download animated wallpaper, unlike the Nokia 7210 (unless i'm wrong). The only small problems i have with it is the volume limit - could do with a higher volume and vibration is a little weak; also would love to be able to delete call register in one go; earpiece is somewhat weak, i find i need more volume coming from the earpiece and oh yes, if you are a 12 hour clock person the 24 hour clock set -up is a bumer. Now for the question i hope someone can help with? - for incoming calls can they be received in both melody and vibration mode - ie vibrate the same time as ringing? i know it that under 'alert type' you can pick the 'melody+vibrate' option. But it seems to fail to do it simulatenously- it only vibrates, where's the melody gone to?. any info out there on this topic would be great?

i was at the samsung open today (tennis) and went in their tent and got to see all the samsung products. the main product they were showing off was the t100. i got to hold one and play with it. its sooooo cool admittedly it looks a little more feminine than my a300 as it has more curves and stuff but with me getting a free upgrade at the end of the year im going to have to wait. :(

sorry for getting back so late, the battery life is very good with the extended battery 4 and half days. and the slim battery only 2 days.not bad. well i don't know what you are talking about the sms storage, but it can keep 10 messages until you start deleting old ones, the new ones will have to be stored in your provider's storage first. Same case as Nokia. Explain further if you wish. May the force be with you.

Yes, you may use bitmap or jpeg to load pictures into this handphone. Instructions: get another pics on the web and use MS Word(if you wish) to adjust or crop the size. Normally, the pics on the web are larger than 128 x 128, so you will need to adjust and crop in any graphics software. For those who don't have any good graphics software, you may use MS Word then. It is still as great! After that, copy and paste the adjusted pics on MS paint (this software is definitely included in your MS office). Choose and save the pic in bmp (bitmap) and then download to your phone. Great!!! Usually, you will need to adjust a few more times to get the correct size which you want. So, you may have to open MS Word, MS paint, and the GSM PC link to the samsung handphone program (3 in total). There might be a shorther way, but this is a concrete proven method by me. It is very easy unless you are not that good with computers. E-mail me if you need detailed instructions. I'll be glad to help. One good advantage is that you will never need to buy any wallpaper from any companies or providers anymore because you can create your own!!! If you got adobe and know how to use it, it will be even better!

My gosh! All of you are getting so desparate for this phone. I have one for almost three weeks and you know what, t100 is my first mobile phone!!! I can safely assure you that it is user-friendly and everything looks cool and perfect. of course, t100 doesn't have GPRS, that's why the critics mentioned it is strange that Samsung released a phone without GPRS at this moment. And that is the reason too why I said this phone could last me for at least half a year. Samsung should be using this phone to test the market. The other phones, like v100, s100, q200, and q300 should have these facilities, IrA, GPRS, MMS, etc. wait for v100 or s100 if you wish. But at this moment now, t100 is GREAT!

for those who thinks that you can wait for v100, by all means. I have got this t100 and I like it immediately I saw it. I never have any phones before in my life..... and when I knew about the v100, I know for sure that I will trade in for that great one. Don't misunderstood, t100 is still good, but v100 got the colours, video, and many services like EMS, GPRS, and others.......but the best design out of the new Samsung phones, t100 is the best. Well...wait until I get v100....t100 should last me at least half a year.

This phone is Great, I've never been a samsung fan but this phone is great..it has an amazing display and very good ringtones... i highly recommend it..

Hi, for those who ever think the design is bad, I think you must really take out your eyeballs and have them a clean wash!!! The edges are curvy, and have a futuristic look. The buttons have fulfilled most of the ergonomics concepts and human computer interaction properties. The Koreans really go all out to find out what the users wanted. SEE carefully before complaining. I am not citing Samsung but when one thing is good, I must really admit. If anyone is complaining about the external antenna, then I don't have any comments.....but at least that might keep your life longer as reports indicate external antenna will have a lower possibility of getting radiation which will lead to cancer. By the way, I manage to get the original phone for $715 (two years plan) two weeks ago (first launched) so I considered myself getting a great deal!

I got the samsung t100 the day it came out for my birthday, and i adore it. it comes in a box which i keep it in now so it doesnt get scrathed. The games are very good, and the colour screen savers are amazing. though the voice command is not that good compared to the nokia 8210, as you have to actually go to the menu and go to voice commands, by which time you could have already got what u wanted, though i may be an idiot and not realise there is an easier way. Write to me if u know.

Just got the Samsung T100. It's far better that I thought! The ring tones sound amazing but are a bit girly sounding! The screen is excellent and easy to read. The 3 games are a bit slow but good quality. The little light on it flashes about 7 different colours quite cool. It�s just an amazing phone!!! The only thing that lets it down is the battery life. But a great phone.

In Korea this phone is not available in GSM version as Korea has far more advanced IMT2000. I just purchsed this phone from Singapore for $900 with all the accessories. I am happy with this phone. I know my friends have same phone in Korea and due to IMT2000 they can download MP3 use them for ring tones... more games multiplayer games... and they now even have 40 poly tunes instead of 16 poly on this model. But ovrall... with the limitation of GSM, it still retained all most of cool features. Only down side is lack of IR port and only serial data cable where as in Korea USB ones are available... are we living in the wrong side of the planet? =) I am in Australia by the way. And this phone works briliantly with Vodafone.

This phone is available in Brunei this week but sold out, the retail price B$998 (open line no simlock)next week will be available. In singapore is more cheaper but with 2 year plan & price S$768. In malaysia dont know yet maybe i will go next week to miri malaysia to check the price. I like the colourful screen doesnt matter about GPRS because it useless in Brunei.
