  • Having problem most of the time no network or the phone cannot make calls. Even worse when playing a game internet connection gets disconnected. very upset

  • Experience for me has been quite good so far buying the phone around 3 weeks ago. The UI can be a hit or miss depending on the person using it, one of the drawbacks for me was that it didn't have an app drawer for which I just simply used Nova Launcher. A few of the drawbacks I found with the phone was that even though the camera took big pictures, it couldn't record in 60fps and it could have a better CPU considering the price. My favourite things about the Phone are definitely the design as I'm quite fond of the teardrop notch and the back of the phone, the display as it has a high screen to body ratio along with an AMOLED screen which makes the colours appear pretty vibrant but not too vibrant, and most definitely the VOOC charging which can charge it in 40 minutes for me. (One thing to note is some regions may not have the on display fingerprint scanner). If you are in a region where the OnePlus 6 is supported I would consider that as an alternative, but if you are looking for a good mid range phone and OnePlus 6 isn't supported in your region (it wasn't supported in Australia hence I went for the Oppo R17), I'd recommend the Oppo R17 if you are willing to put up with the few drawbacks.

  • I purchased this phone about 6 weeks ago and dropped it in water (by accident of course) but fetched it out quickly. It quickly started to die off and a week later, no phone. I know it's my own fault but users beware - if you're looking for a phone that is very accident-proof, check the IP rating which lets you know how waterproof a phone is. This phone is not - at all. Also the camera sucks

  • Battery Life is fare enough. It gives full day support with multi tasking on whole day.

  • The VOOC Charge speed is unbeatable. It charged the phone from zero to 40% is just 10 minutes. Its a C type charging.

  • Charging Port is C-Type and not micro USB.

  • Under Display finger print is Perfectly fine and effective.

  • You want super vooc or type C port? Don't act childish. Charging speed matters not the port.

  • You may buy this instead poco for the following reasons 1. Much better screen ( amoled) 2. super vooc charging 3. Way better camera. You can't compare. 4. SD710 Performance is comparable to SD835. In real life you won't notice the difference 5. Looks You may consider One Plus 6T as alternative

  • I am currently using this phone.....Oppo R17 has Dual 4G Sim slot....no memory card slot....even its not Hybrid....you can not insert any memory card in this..... Oppo R17 Pro has Hybrid slot....Either you can use Dual 4G Sim at a tym....OR one Sim and Memory at a tym.....

  • R17 have a memory card slot and 3.5mm jack. The one not having memory card slot and 3.5mm jack is the R17 pro. I've bought the R17 and it's amazing. GEMarena should update their specifications to avoid stirring confusion to others. Can't wait for the Android pie to be released of this phone.

  • If you look at the specs on Oppo website, Oppo DOES NOT have the memory card hybrid slot on R17. However, R17 Pro HAS that memory card hybrid slot while ditching the 3.5mm jack. So it's either one or the other :(

  • "no one uses memory card these days if internal is sufficient." FALSE. People have different needs & wants. Some people may find internal to be sufficient, but they want to save data in memory card for easier transfer to another phone & backup without Internet connection. Not everyone trusts CLOUD as it has limited storage, and possibly spying, pay more if you need more storage. You should know that not everyone has an unlimited data plan.

  • this can be the best in range, process may not be up to the mark which should be 845 snapdragon. remaining all it is good. and internal is 128/64 gb . no one uses memory card these days if internal is sufficient

  • Other than OnePlus's Oxygen OS, Chinese brand Android phones' software is generally terrible. Samsung's is the most feature-rich, but a bit bloated. It also fixes issues found in stock Android. HTC and LG Android skins: average, but better than Chinese Android skins. Sony has the best skinned Android, too bad Xperia phones aren't selling well.

  • Sorry to inform you, there is no microsd slot on this phone unless it is Oppo R17 Pro but sans the 3.5mm jack.

  • Oh dear, Oppo is getting RE****ED lately. Oppo R17 has a 3.5mm jack while losing microsd support & Oppo R17 Pro has microsd support while losing 3.5mm jack. It is just as good at "sacrificing" something while "gaining" something in return which is BS at these price range. For my country, Oppo R17 has no in-display FPS while some other countries' model has it. And the salesmen here in my country is pushing people to buy Oppo R17 & R17 Pro. If you don't read the official specs of the above 2 models, you will regret it after you are "tricked" into buying unless you don't care. The previous models Oppo R15 & R15 Pro were much better because 3.5mm jack & microsd support are there as STANDARD despite having a FUGLY NOTCH. So for those who have already purchased Oppo R17 or Oppo R17 Pro, I advise you to sell it immediately. Get another phone at a lower / same price-point that has 3.5mm jack and microsd support as STANDARD. Or you can keep it if you don't care about headphone jack / microsd card.

  • Hello, I buy oppo R17 In oppo R17 , there is no VOLTE enabled Option When i insert 4G sim of Reliance Jio in India which support latest HD calls over LTE , there is no VOLTE or HD flag Automatically on. And no option to Enabled in Settings Menu. If anyone knows how to Enabled VOLTE please Semd procedure

  • ColorOS does not have notification icons on the status bar. I have R15 pro and it does not have notification icons. Notifications also have issues since the aggressive battery optimization. Sometimes I did not get any notification at all and need to open the applications to check the notifications. The only good thing about Oppo R series is the beautiful design.

  • This phone (I have it) does NOT have a microSD card slot. there is a 2 nano sim card, with no option to expand the memory as said in the review :(

  • Great midrange phone, too bad it does not have FM radio like most other budget phones, but that is not a dealbreaker. Oppo's software, however, is not very good. Still much room for improvement.

  • The height of the cut in the screen is 2/3 the height of the top bar, and can display notification bar on the left and right, also bottom bar. The notch is here to stay, until we can have a in-display camera, which won't be any time soon. You have to accept it, and appreciate it. None of the notched phones are 16:9, they are usually very tall, you viewing a video wouldn't result in a cut-out.

  • Oneplus is all about tried and tested reliable feature. OP5T had some waterproofing measures, Oneplus 6 almost had complete IP68 . I don't think they will abandone that development . and considering limited resources a waterproof PopUp camera will be near impossible from oneplus.
