BLU Studio Max - User Reviews

  • I know this question is a bit late, however I was wondering what phone you were talking about in your post when you said that “Amazon had recently closed it's store with BLU over another phone”? The reason I ask is because I too had a Vivo XL, which stopped charging and BLU wanted to replace it with a Studio Max. I don't like the look of it, nor the color (it was Rose Gold and I'm worried it's going to be really Pink), and the reviews are awful for this phone. So I fought back and told them I didn't want this phone and they offered me a different phone, but your comment made me nervous and curious as to which phone it was. I, as well, will never buy a BLU phone again. Thanks for your help :-)

  • Exactly the same happened to me, the vivo xl suddenly didn´t charge anymore, the battery was in perfect condition, I had it for 3 months. Blu sent me a Studio max that worked great for 2 months, then it started restarting out of nothing, also full of ads, untill it wouln´t turn on again. I tried restoring it back to factory settings and didn´t work. Now I´m happy with my new Moto G5s

  • full of virus

  • This phone was provided as a replacement from BLU after my Vivo XL started to exhibit issues with its battery and charging. After receiving the Studio Max, it became apparent that the phone came pre-loaded with a lot of malware/adware. And it was impossible to get rid of this without being able to root the phone. Multiple factory resets did not resolve the issue. Wish we had known that Amazon had recently suspended their store over another BLU product being caught with the same issues. Will never purchase another BLU product. It was a shame because the Vivo XL apart from the issues with the charging port and battery was actually a pretty good phone for our needs and had worked fine for months. In comparison, the Studio Max was utter crap. The quality was not the same, and the malware issues were completely unacceptable.

  • DO NOT BUY this phone! I originally bought the Vivo XL, loved that phone, but about 4 months into it the battery was not charging, and it was not just mine. Anyway Blu said they would exchange it for the Studio Max, so I agreed. Well 7 months later I am plagued with this damn virus these phones have. Ads galore. The file Proxy Processor keeps reinstalling, I think I have deleted it a hundred times. I hard reset my phone and did not install anything for a few weeks. It was even a week and that damn file keeps reinstalling. I have talked to Blu support and they will not help me because the warranty on my first phone has run out. I argued with them, but all they will do is repair it at my cost! It is their problem, th eir virus. I told them that is it, I will never buy another Blu phone ever again. They lost a customer, as I have bought 3 of their phones over the last couple years.

  • Two speaker outputs at buttom but sound comes through the right one only? Makes me wonder if i have something defective and its only a few hours now i bought this thing.

  • This smartphone applies Dual SIM (Nano-SIM/ Nano-SIM), but micro-sd memory and one Nano-SIM is set in the same space exclusively.

  • I personally recommend not to buy any BLU Mobiles. As per my experience. I have replacement phone from H1RD with Studio Max. Now Studio Max also effected with Virus (http://www.droid-life.com/2016/11/15/blu-security/ ) mobiles like R1HD. They are not able to fix and they are not giving any replacement phone from past 1 month. when every i call customer care they do not know when they are going to fix the issue. but they are confirming it's not steeling data from my mobile like bank credentials. I was worried to use this mobile and uninstalled all bank apps. customer care people confirmed their management also do not have any timelines to fix this issue whether it will be 1 month/1years/10 years. Please do not buy BLU MOBILES. Them self is not confident to fix their mobile issues. how they will assure customers

  • Ok, I put this phone through it's full paces. This is my FINAL report. Pro's: Full metal body. Design is Solid. Screen good. Good Specs for $150 USD. Cons: 4000 mAh Battery does NOT last as long as you would think. Audio Quality and Volume are not up to scratch and Last but not least, the hybrid dual SIM slot is the worst. Having to choose between a SD card and a SIM card is the worst. I dunno better you and the extra $75 and buy the Samsung J7 2016.

  • Yup, it is worth it. Had it three days now.

  • I bought this phone as a "cheap" replacement for a stolen Samsung J7 ...... I was not able to do much research into this BLU phone but I was so shocked to see the specs and proformance. At $150 USD ..... it can't be beaten. So far so good. Keep it up BLU.

  • Does anyone have it yet?? If so is it worth it?

  • Does this phone suport google asistant?

  • this phone is a beast compared to a Samsung with same specs and price comparison, compared to a Samguns J5 prime by example, it beats that phone in price, some specs and the giant Battery pack that the BLU, has, don't really Know why people used to buy phones overprice when they can get same on other brands with great specs and low prices, just compare prices 150$ (BLU) against a phone that has good quality too, but doesn't beats the BLU SUDIO MAX on specs, and it cost almost 260$

  • This is the best thing you can get for just 150 dollars, witch is insane considering the specs and over all design. Great phone, Great price :)

  • I currently have a studio C I'm happy with it, how much $$ for studio max?

  • this is a really nice BLU phone....
