I got this phone about a year ago and it's a piece of crap. The top three keys aren't working and it keeps dialing 3333333 etc. I got a new one a few months back and it ended up doing the same thing. DO NOT GET THIS PHONE.

I am a tmobile customer and got this as a free phone, but i have to say...SUX!!! My phone reboots, yes it shuts down and it starts on its own. When the slider is down, sometimes somehow it plays music. he bluetooth doesnt always work. It sometimes hangs to look for previously paired bluetooth speaker. Battery doesnt stay charged, sometimes even you plug it in, it doesnt charge. I can go on, so please do your self a favor and dont get this phone, even if they pay you money to get this phone, dont!

I got this phone a few months ago. It's my 1st phone and I love it. it's veryyy user-friendly and practical for me. the sound quality could be better, but it's not a big deal if you're like me and text more than talk. Before I got this phone, I read reviews and they all complained about sound quality, so I was hesitant. Believe me, it's NOT that big of a problem at all. it looks difficult to text on, because the keys are so flat, but it's actually very easy once you get the hang of it :) i send like 3000 a month, no problem. haha. I recommend it! :D

Hello..I just received my Samsung T819 and really like it! Trying to get used to it and such. Anyway...my question is...when I receive a text the time that it shows is off by 2 hours. So like if it is 11am the incoming text shows 9am. It isn't like that on the outgoing texts lol It is not a huge issue, just kind of bugs me lol Any suggestions on how to get the incoming texts to show the same time as my cell phone shows?? Thank you!!!

I'm not getting any sound, no ring tone, can't hear any voices on a call. when I shut off and turn on the phone, I get no sound. The phone is soundless. I'm at level 7 for sound but nothing's happening. Does anyone out there know what's happening?

I notice it is not GPS equipped. Does this means the phone cannot be traced to it's location? Like if I was stranded somewhere and they can find me by picking up my phone location?

does anyone know what it means when you recieve the text inbox full message but your text inbox is not full and it wont let you open the text? I have been getting them for about two days now and i have been getting texts from people but i have no idea who the failed texts are from! any help would really be appreciated!

they do have a ringer/vibrate option. that's what mines on. you go to the same setting on sound profile, edit, then it has all the sound options.

i know how to turn off the tone when u writing...go to sound profiles put select than options and edit. U going to the last think witch is power on type u going down to power sound volume and do can decide how low or how loud u wont your phone to make a voice when u writing. I know my english its not good i just hope i help someone and u guys understand me

i figured out how to turn off the keypad noise without putting the phone on vibrate, you go ot the settings menu and then go to sounds profile click options button and then edit after that, use left and right arrow buttons go to the picture that has the keypad picutre its the last one to the right, then scroll down to where it saids "phone sound volume" and place it on mute. that will cause the keypad noise to go away.

yea wen u goin into the sound settings a choose wit one you want either the outdoor or meetin or w,e. it gives you an option in the edit screen where you are able to specify how high or low u want the keypad

I bought the t819 today. It's great except I can't figure out how to set the "save new contacts to" and "view contacts from" in the phonebook management section, so that I can select it!

had the same problem.. took me a while to figure it out. go to settings>sound profiles>options>edit. then the last tab, phone sound volume, turn it all the way down. And here you can change every sound on your phone.

Hey there..so I just got this phone today and love it, but i cannot for the life of me figure out how to silence the keypad tones. It's driving me nuts that when I text it beeps with every key I hit! The farthest I've gotten is going to settings, then sound profiles, select "normal" profile, then hit options/edit, select "keypad tone" where the only two choices are "beep" and "xylophone." There has got to be a way to turn the keypad tones off, right? please help!

This phone sucks. It's like the best phone for the first four months.. Seriously i never dropped my phone or got water damage. I was on it talking to a friend, Someone called me as i was on the phone, my screen locked up. I took my battery out to reset it. I turn it back on to see it say DOWNLOAD on my screen and everytime i take my battery out and put it back on. That's all i get. Also the camera is only a 1.3, rofl its not that great. That starts to mess up after about three months of having this phone. It's like it's only built to last four months... pain in the a$$

I can not view picture messages sent from other service carriers (verizon, at&t, etc). Does anyone else have this problem? T-Mobile has been very little help with this problem.

If you chk the specs, the phn is not a mass memory device. My car stereo has a usb slot and I tried to connect to my stereo. It didn't work. I even have an sd card and it won't play my music. Sorry buddy :(

My phone came apart and is now in 2 pieces, still works, I can line up the tracks but the little metal tab inside I cannot connect to anything. I went to T-mobile and they couldn't help me, but told to call Samsung Customer Service. Samsung only has one location for repairs, and it will cost me alot more than the phone it's self to ship, and repair it. Can you supply us with information on how to reconnect the tab or figure out a more customer friendly repair method. I am torked!

When playing your music and if you think the sound is low, well use a brand new roll of toilet paper...meaning use the hole over the speaker phone and listen. tell me what you guys think....no joke...this does work it amplifies 10dB of gain...please try and you'll be amazed...

Great phone. I give it a 3.5 star out of 5 Here is what you do if you want to download Mp3 or pictures etc.. Invest in a card reader.(cost is $13) Downloading from the phone take longer and you will need to install a driver..headaches.. Samsung does not provide this USB cable($15) Camera 1.3 is ok, but the zoom is awesome after picture is taken.

you can go in a assign which com port to connect to. go to start then control panel, system, hardware, device manager, then ports. Expand the ports and it should show you your phone and what com port it is linked to.

First off let me tell you that I was skeptical about T-Mobile and the T819 in general...but I have to say that I really do like this phone. It is stylish and easy to navigate. The sound quality of the calls could be better but I think it's a combination of T-Mobile and the phone also...The speaker could be a little louder! The only other complaint I have is that I can't figure out for the life of me, how to change the navigation buttons to what I want them to be. Does anyone know if this is possible with this phone? Please post here if you do. As a whole I dig this phone and you couldn't beat the price (free with 2 year activation). If you are looking for a phone that is going to cook, clean and fly rocket ships for you...this is not the phone. If you're looking for a phone that is stylish, easy to use and serves its purpose as a phone with cool options (okay photo, video and MP3 player), I would recommend and say that this phone is for you!!!

ok! ok! I admit I work for Tmobile USA. There are two problems with the 819. (1)The phone does hang up when its receiving a call coming out of a magnetic case. (2) we have had people return the phone because of an echo effect. NOTE: There is VIBRATE and MELODY! Settings

Does anybody know how to customize the right and left soft key? I know the sofy key with the square on it is customizable, its the other two i just can't seem to figure out. The reason why i ask is because the down navigation button is phonebook, and the right soft key is also phonebook. No need to have two buttons for the same function. I just got this phone last week and I also noticed that the phone would hang up when I take the phone out of the magnetic case when someone calls me. The solution, go to menu and then go to settings, then go to phone settings, and highlight "slide settings" from the menu highlight "continue operation" that should correct the hang up problem.

I am having a couple of issues with this phone. I'm wondering if anyone else is having this problem. People I call tell me that they hear an echo of their own voice whenever they speak; i believe this means that the echo cancellation is faulty. I have tried lowering the volume on my own phone and having the recievers lower their volume also, but they still hear their echo. THis is a major inconvenience and annoyance. Also, if someone calls me, and I pull it out of the case, it automatically hangs up on the person because it passes through a magnet inside of the case. Finally, the receivers of my calls also tell me that my voice sounds incredibly fuzzy. It is ashame because I truly do like the phone in it's look, and features, but these issues are frustrating and I am planning on returning this phone. For the record, I went to the store and tried out another phone of the same model. It had all of the same issues. So, it must a defect within the model of the phone overall. If any of these problems are happening to you, please post them and let me know.

I have had my T819 for 4 days. So far, I am not impressed. I love to test and the text screen looks primitive. It has clumsy predicitve text. I hate that it lacks vibe+ring and is an overall disappointment. Boo hiss!

IMHO, this phone looks much better up close n' personal (not that it looks all that bad on a computer screen). Anywho, I'm currently tryna decide if I want the T819 or the Samsung Blast as I LOOOOVE to text...and sliders! Anywho, lemme get back to my T819 vs. Blast Pros/Cons list. Hey, since I'm having such a hard time making my mind up as to which phone to get, any and all opinions will be appreciated.
