I have just changed my x820 to this phone, i like the 3g but i have not use it though, one thing i miss from my old phone though is that the z370 does not have options on the send message for recently used contacts unlike the x820 and and viewing in vivid mode is clearer in x820.

i've been using this phone for almost two years and i'm very proud of it. it has enough space to store documents and files,it has long life battery pack,it also gives you the look.slim design (only 8.3mm in thickness) and also the 3G band,it gives extra punch to the phone.for its durability, the phone is outstanding. it is almost countless drop my phone has to endure,but the phone still survive.one thing regrettably though,it has problem with its pc software.some hole in thaht program ought to be fixed.but on top all this phone worth every dime.

i am using the phone for 10 months already. I dropped it many times because this is too slim but nothing changed on it's performance. I LOVE THE VIVID MESSAGE cause it makes me smile. It's like the emoticon on MSN . The words "happy", "sad", "lucky", "happy birthday", "love", "heart" and many more corresponds cute animations of smiley and images. The camera was good but when you viewed the picture you can't zoom it in/out. It can laso record long conversation. I CAN SAY THAT THIS PHONE IS REALLY WORTH IT.

A good phone, impressing mechanical design - but too many annoyances in the software for this price. IMHO, avoid it like plague, until the software fix is available. Just some of the annoyances (my phone purchased in nov. 07): - Can not switch to calendar while talking - Can not send a long (aka concatenated) SMS from the PC software, though the phone can do it - Photo viewer can not zoom picture to full screen - Too small font size in organizer, and can not enlarge. - Does not recoginize .m3u or any other playlist format, does not play .wma or wav. - Many other annoyances in the PC software. Also, the USB & headphone & power cables are proprietary - can't use any other headphones!

i plan to get this phone, i find that many questions arent getting answered. YES this phone is like the trace phone! But this phone has a 2.0 megapixel camera, the trace has a 1.3. The trace also is quadband while the z370 is only tripleband. This phone is better than the x820 simply because it has expandable memory, the x820 does not. Anyone know of anywhere else to buy this phone than what gsmarena shows? The lowest price i have seen for this phone is 260. Also, I am sure there are codes somewhere on the internet to put your phone in test mode and adjust the RX volume on your phone for all of you deaf people. I did exactly that for my samsung t509, which is the greatest phone you could ever get! hope all this helps!

for those who wanted to change their messahe tones, you should download a converter... for the one in doubt of buying z370 vs z170 - i'd rather suggest z370... for the one asking if its a waste of money, NO! it was never been a waste of money for me, i like its style, some of the features of this phone might not be useful depending on your country if its supports all the phone features... i still insist, its my best phone i ever bought...

i bought this phone as my birthday present past months ago, i read about the reviews and it has a high rating so i decided to buy one and i love it. yes you can not install a game that easy, its on wap only but sometimes it won't work. you can't hardly hear the message alert tone. despite all this, i love it because its the slimmest 3G phone.

I did!! only recently.. don't know what happen, the phone seem to from 'sharp' to 'retarded' now.. slow in response when a keypad is pressed. occasionally shut down by itself........... pics wise not that great anymore.. i am a general user, so the phone is still ok to me, just the auto shutting down irrirates me..

After using this phone for 2 months..., here's my comments: - full picture display is not possible, you will have to set the picture as your wallpaper to watch this full screen. - this phone supports chinese character, can use pinyin or s stroke to enter chinese chars. -you can only install games/ application via WAP. I'm not aware of any successfull method to upload from a pc. - battery is ok, but you will have to charge once a day if you are heavy user. I charge mine once in 3 days, I normally use SMS only. - camera is only good for still life pictures (non moving subject). don't waste your time taking picture from a moving subject. - the ringtone for SMS is very low and cannot be adjusted, you will have to place your ear next to the phone just to hear the tone. If I was aware of this, I would never have bought this phone, I was wondering why they (Samsung) cannot just have the same routine for assigneing ringtone for voice call which is loud enough for me. - I didn't find any samsung site in the internet that offer download for upgrading the cellphone OS. Clearly there are some bugs to be corrected but it seems that Samsung does not really care. Finally, this might well be my first and last Samsung unit. My fault really, since i didn't listen to the saying: "Don't just the book by it's cover". SGH-Z370 outward appearance is very good... unitl you actually use it, then you will realized that there nothing really good insde. :-(

Great Phone. Battery life is fine maybe i'm a super light usuage user lol. I charge it once every 3 days. Great camera in the day , pics are clear but when its dark , pics move slow and are blurred if u move slightly when taking a foto. Reccomend u get it although i had a slight problem with PC studio 3 as they could not detect it. other than that , the phone is great

To put smiley face, u can't tailor "Type" it. What u do is, type in "i am happy" the smiley face will come out. But u need to turn on the function from the messaging section... not sure what it is called. i can't translate it from mandarin. I got this hint from one of the Phone magazine. Try it and share the results...ok

I originally got this phone as a backup phone but I ended up using it now. The main thing I like about it is the slim profile - can easily slip into my jeans pocket. Since then I've sold my previous phone. For a slim-profile phone (i.e. slim battery also), expect the battery life to be shorter since its capacity is smaller. To save battery, I tried setting the network mode to GSM as I don't use the 3G function frequently...not sure if it helps though. Anyway, I think this phone is very good value for money.

i got this phone last month and am disappointed in it. the ringtone is pretty soft and mp3 tones cannot be set as msg tone. and the battery is pretty short. after charging fully and left it there unused for a day, the next day the battery shows 1 bar left. even my old 2.5 yrs old samsung e600c lasts longer than this. gsmarena shows that my e600c standby time is about 100hrs shorter than this z370 but yet e6ooc last longer.. what is going on? was wondering since nokia and sony ericsson has a software upgrade capability via the internet, does samsung phones come with such service too? so that the phone doesnt consume too much of it batt? can anyone help with this? many thanks!

What I mean is that some says this phone comes in BLACK too.. Singtel said no black, ONLY silver. The black is another model X820.. yesterday I went JB, the phone seller also said the same thing as singtel. So i wonder if some of them could have feed us with wrong info for Z370. Anyway, to those who complained about the soft SMS tone.. i don't have such problem.. I only switch on to vol 3 and it's fine.. If really want to pinpoint.. i think the vibartion and the keypad should improve.. vibration kinda weak and keypad look cheap and easy spoil

The Mp3 feature works great and almost perfect. Pity the designer did not include built-in equaliser. Hot tips: you can zoom in the SMS by pressing "4". You can toggle video to full screen by pressing "#" I have successfully paired it with Creative Bluetooth headset, sounds great!!!

Anyway my answer is based on an e730 right now.. Do you have the "symbols" option in sms? When you're typing an sms, press the right soft key a few times and it should take you to a symbols screen. Press down arrow until u find the sumbol and press the numbers that correspond to the symbols you want to use. This should work for all samsung phones, I believe. There's a symbol option for all the samsungs I've used orr tampered w/.

I have a problem with this phone. The SMS tone is just too soft. When you play it under settings it's fine, but when a real message comes in it's barely audible.

silver is the limited edition?? since we only have the silver in singapore, i guess to us singaporeans would think that black shld be the limted edition cos all ard spore there's only silver.. but i think silver is better if the material of the black's cover is the same as the silver as black wil surely leave fingerprints or get stained from the oil on ur face or rather sweat after answering a call.. well, to each his own, i like samsung cos of its simplicity in design and functions. but one problem that is bugging me is how can i download songs from my pc? u guys must be thinking why i'm so sua-koo (outdated/stupid), still dunno how to do such things. but as i've been using a non mp3 cell and have just changed to z370 (slightly more advance than my e600c u know!). i've installed the software that comes with it but i still cant download songs into my cell. it keeps promting that my file is not in the right format. ya i know it must be in mp3 format but how do i do that? would appreciate if some1 can help.. :D

I got my silver Z370 (Yes, I'm in Singapore) yesterday and I love it! Being a previous Nokia user for years, this is my 1st time switching to another brand. I gotta say I love this phone (would be better if it's in black, but silver is cool enough)!! The problems I encounter are my pics taken from my previous N73 can't be viewed. Unless I downsize it. Maybe cos Z370 supports up to 1600X1200 only. Anything bigger than that can't be viewed. Also my contacts from my N73 doesn't show up nicely in the Z370. I gotta edit all the contacts in my iBook before BT it over to Z370. Oh.. The CD-rom only works for Windows. Not Mac OS. What a pity... Message tones can't be personalized. But that's not an issue to me. Only the softness of the message tone does irritates me somehow. Can anything be done to this? Or how can I personalize my message tones? Likewise, after fiddling with my new Z370 for the last 24hrs, the plastic casing for the key pad, where the left arrow is, already pop up. But pressing it down will do, though it still pops up as and when. Anyway I'm not too bothered by this. Can just use double-sided tape to tape it down. Overall, I would give this phone a 8/10 (To each his own). Other than the problems I have which I reckon it's more on the compatibility between the 2 brands, and the personalising of message tones, I find this is one great phone to own and already getting use to it after using Nokia (very user friendly) for more than 10 years. What else can I expect from this Z370 which cost me only SGD390, so sleek, thin, and comes with so many functions. (I hope they do make the Samsung PC studio for Mac OS) Just my 2 cents. ;)

I have set my msg alert repetition to periodic, in silent mode. The phone will vibrate periodically even if the msg has been read and deleted. This will only happen if the msg is only read after the 2nd vibration alert. Can anyone verify???

This phone is quite good in terms of camera quality. Mp3 plaback is okay except that equilizer and minimization are absent. Picture editor also too mediocre. Not able to zoom and crop images except resize. The design structure does noy allow a led diode for camera but i would be great to have one. However, the supplied earpices are quite good. T9 dictionary also cannot add words "permanently", it will erase the added word after a while from the T9 databank. this is still present even after a software upgrade. Overall, the design is striking but its operating system's flaws are too many.

I suggest you wait for the black one. It will be better and also you need to upgarde the software. If you must buy, most shops are ok, go to sumsang service center to upgrade the software. It will take about 4 hours to run the program.

ok, i agree, camera is fine, but what about sound quality? i was very happy about this 512 mb micro SD (lots of mp3s), but surprisingly the sound quality is not the best? i couldnt find any equalizer and comparing to my 'old' sony-ericsson k750 there is no bass here!!!. lack of radio is a big mistake either.

GDR, in my SMS messages and went the sentence comes to the end of the line, some word is broken into 2 parts and the second part appear on the next line. For example, the message 'lets meet tomorrow at the usual place where we used to meet'. Thanks. My phone also doesn't come with any microSD card. Sorry but what is word wrap? I have no problems with messaging so far.

GDR, yes the SMS tone is very soft so you need to be careful and check every time but you can switch to vibration too. How about the message, it does not support word wrap, does it happen to you too? My phone does not come with micor SD card now sure about other user.

This hp is really GREAT, except for 1 thing- the message tone can hardly be heard even when i set it to the maximum.. must place it beside the ears b4 i can hear them. Can i check with Z370 users whether thos happen to my phone only or is it supposed to be this way? Thanks!

The phone is superb,i just bought it on the 7th Jan 07.It will be much more superb if it is shorter n it comes in black in colour.Agree?Watever it is,ill recommend dis phone to anybody who wants to buy it.Its the most sleek n stylish phone which i ever had through 29yrs old of life,plus-minus.Chao!!!

I got both X820(Black) and Z370(Silver). I found some problems with the Z370. First of all, the SMS message does not have word wrap. Which means the word is cut off when it can not fit into 1 line. Can another confirm if this is the case of only happen to my phone. Battery life is much better than X820 but the because of the silver casing, when under sun you can not read the numbers on the keypad. Unlike in black, you can them clearly. Phonebook entries created in the SIM card under Z370 can not be read in X820. Even I got the silver one but I still perfer it in black. Overall, both are my first Samsung phone and the software are very good in both the phone and the PC.

I just got the silver Z370. I like it. I have not seen the Black one but the silver one is nice and chic. Its nice and thin with a good screen. Limited number of customising options compared with my Motorola V3 which this phone replaced but I am not a demanding user. (Demanding user will probably be disappointed this is no Sony Erricson in terms of number of goodies) SMS a little more tedious but still acceptable. Not sure about Batt life yet but I played with it whole saturday and i used up 1 bar out of 3. I thought that was a little fast but it should probably be acceptable. Overall a nice package and its amazingly thin for a 3G phone! Outcool Mr Moto

For the Singaporeans who bought the Samsung 8.4 under the singtel promotion: Can you share & post up some good pix of the limited edition silver 8.4? I'm in Sg too & thinking abt getting it but not so sure about the silver colour. I'd still prefer the black, but maybe I'll change my mind when I see the silver instead? Is it beautiful in person? I own a Samsung Z370 Model its greet, picture very sharp better than previous models slim and handy color bright and plesant, only SMS got to go a few steps anyway I'm happy with it.SD Card 2.0 G store up to 140 songs No complaint. I should say Best.

I got this phone last week - for this price and in my opinion, Samsung has made great improvement and offered technology which is up to the needs of the current mobile users. If you adjust the camera settings to 1600x1200 you will find this 2mp camera phone captured sharp image - and as competence to those digital camera which is below 3.5mp. But just for mpeg4 video, it doesn't seem to be compatible with the model - fm radio will be a good feature to be added on, anyway with support of SD card of up to 2GB, I guess I can load enough mp3s into it.

Sam,r copy cats,intro blu tooth very last,now they never give MC with any set,plus no OS.Structure is always toyish only bcuz manufacture TFTs screen r bearable,otherwise resale is worst ad most of 50% of their models never marketed,typical korean mind.experimenting on highest MPs HDs Pdas but failures.D900 top of line finish is cracking ad unstable even MC compatability not stable nor u can rr ff the data when using it u have to transfer to fone which takes up memory,whats the use of MCs then.Sam think twice NOW!

This phone has the bilt in front camera facing you compare to back side of the X820, so you can use it for the video calls where available. The X820 has no this abiblity. Also it has the built in mini SD slot compare to none of the X820. And depth is 8.4mm compare to 6.9 of the x820.

NEEED HELP!!! i just bought the tmobile trace which is just like this phone (kinda) i need to know how to make mp3s as my ring tone....just like the T809 from tmobile you had to change the file extention so the phone can read it. I have tried 3gp but its not working. can someone help?

Hi people.I have this phone,it`s a prototype right now.It has no IMEI number and on the battery is ritten "Not For Sale".What can I say it`s a really good phone,takes pictures like D600 for example,but here in Romania I have not such a good signal I don`t undersand why.On my model it`s ritten UMTS where the samsung logo is in gsmarena`s pictures,but I also have the samsung logo right down the display!On the back where the camera is I have a different kind of letters "2.0 MEGApixels".I have the aditional 2 buttons,the t`flas card,the second camera that works very well,the meniu an the rest + over the X820 model.This pictures from GSMarena are the first pictures for this model,Z370 will look a little bit different(I have it :P ).Have a good day ;)

Seems similar to SE K618. K618 is a little thicker, but plays songs and has higher versions of BT and USB. Other than that, identical, even in pricing. Which do ya'll prefer?

oh come on people, what is ugly and what is not? I have seen the ultra slim phone and they look very irressistable /attractive. Everyone else would be jealous if you have one, and I mean it. The ultra slim phone as well as the other samsung phone are very nice to acquire but price maybe too little high. That is what all samsung user want. We do not want to buy phone because of features but for the brand and high price. Anyway samsung phone has all the elements that separate thier phones from the rest and we the user has it's own identity with class and practicality in design and features.

You are right Gancho. The one in the right is for "Menu" and the left one seems "Internet (i)".

There seems to be another difference in this phone compared to the X820 besides 3G and memory slot. There are two additional buttons. Hopefully, these two buttons will be used for accessing internet instead of having the center button of the direction pad for it. I heard that this was one complaint about X820, so hopefully they fixed it.

The Big difference from x820 is, this has a MicroSD card slot and its 3G. Nice.

Very similar to the X820, only additional feature by the looks of it is the VGA Video call camera. Its thicker aswell, not much different, still a good phone though.
