Sharp charger are the same as Panasonic and Sanyo, so you will find it easy and I'm not giving you any web address as I think is not permitted and will be removed, but for sure if you buy it online is cheaper than the shop. One question for the owner, between gx25 29 15 and 33 which will you prefer for speech and reception quality please? Thanks Gianpiero

i used this phone for 3 yrs...its an awesome , robust & tough phone....great handling.i remember dropping this phone from 2 nd floor....i feared for worst butit came out with just few scracthes.......the problem i couldnt use the phone was battery was running out( since it became old & needed replacemnet)...couldnt find battery and also loose contact with charger...over all one of the best phone of all time

I have been using this phone since it launched. Pros: Amazing screen clarity, good phone design (sturdy), lots of available content, great menus and huge selection of great poliphonic ringtones. Cons: No 3G, 2MB of memory which is non-expandible, lags a little when using a desk Overall: Dated, but a solid choice. Rating: 8/10

It looks very nice and it's ringtones and color resulation are really appreciative.But the main problem is that its memory status is only 2.sth...which is very poor.It's charger and battery are not found in our country which is a great problem for me.

this was an early phone of mine. i thought it was brill good sounding ringtones. awesome clear screen. nice size. very good flash on it. the only niggle was 0.3 meg camera. but that was then. other than that simply brilliant.

u cant send stuff bigger then 100 kb so the phone will automatically reject an any item bigger then the size already mentioned

Had this phone since it came out. Fantastic mobile for it's time, headphone and charger insert blockers bit flimbsy and have falled off, camera is ok for its time, but battery is poor after 3yrs. Looking to replace this now but keeping it as a backup as it is a very sound phone for its age

WEll i have had this phone since 2005 and it's still going man! the battery lasts a week at moderate use but the phone is quite out dated. Any way im goin to buy a new phone now because this is an old phone now in my eyes. The camera is alright and the screen is really good but that annoying click sound you get when you open and close it just drives me mad. the memory is not that good too. Overall it's good for a person that doesn't bother about music or photos and just uses it for calls,sms,snd email. by the way this phone is excellent for sms really fast!

it is a not bad phone.. still working after 3 years though sometimes it blanks and got to charge it everyday for sure and the buttons do not always respond. don't like the sound it makes every time it opens and closes.. very annoying especially when during a lesson or meeting.

I've had this phone since feb of 2005 and its still going strong! Screen quality is amazing, I just took off my screen protector and it is so clear now =O Also extremely durable, I have thrown this and smashed it against a wall (bored) many times and absolutely nothing wrong with it still.

Does anybody know how to get a symbol off the front screen. The symbol is of a little world with a red exclamation mark in front. Its positioned at the top half in the middle. I don't want to have to master reset the phone if thats not going to fix it...

I have had this phone for nearly 2 years now and it's still great! Maybe a little out dated and the battery life isn't as good but other than that I'd definately reccomend this phone to anybody. As I am rather clumsy I have dropped this phone on a number of occasions (sometimes purposely) and although it looks scratched and worn on the outside, it hasnt affected the actual phone at all. whereas other phones may break if you drop them. Although, this phone has no MP3 player, the videos only last 1 minute, there isnt much memory and there is no loudspeaker on the phone. But overall it's great! I reccomend you buy it!

I have had this handset for over 2 years now, it is a fantastic phone. I have dropped it many times, It has come into contact with liquid and there has never been one problem with it! I would advise anyone who wants a cute phone that has pretty much everything on it to buy this handset!!!!!

Your reviewers haven't had many phones if they think this is the best. Mine replaced a similar looking Sharp that had a bigger and brighter screen (this one is U/S in daylight) bigger keys and more useful (though not high tech) facilities. The charging socket needs a good rattle to work and it allows me to receive WAP alerts - which I don't see as a benefit. I'd swap it for my old phone tomorrow.

Trouble getting rid of WAP Alert? (Globe with red exclamation mark) You need to open the web browser by accessing a bookmark or Vodafone live! in your phone, and then go to Options -> Advanced -> Alert Inbox, and from there you can view and delete the message. Hope this helps

i've had this phone for around a year now and to tell you the truth it's actually been pretty good, but it's not very durable i have to say, the camera screen cracked the first time i dropped it, then a friend who had the same phone dropped hers at a party and the inner screen smashed :S buy it if you will, other than not very durable, its a great phone, oh and jase, ring your phone company to unlock your phone!

Does anybody know why, when I transfer a file to the phone, that it gets to about 95% done and then comes up as Data Rejected. I have deleted as mnay files as I can off the phone and the menory status says there is enough room for the file, but it won't complete - help.......

i had this phone for about 2 years. never once did i have a problem with it, bar the battery after the first year. i replaced the battery and the phone went perfectly for about 9 mths after. the one morning it was sitting on my bedroom floor open and i stood on it and broke it in half. i am still mad at myself a year later, because im never going to get a phone as class or stylish as my gx25. i know the gx29 has been released but im sorry i dont like the design its not as classy looking. im a gay guy and i need a class, stylish, quirky, yet funky phone and for me that will always be the gx25!!!!!!

The only good thing about this phone is the clarity of the screen. I don't mind the video & camera being bad, I don't try to make phone calls with my camera! But.. the storage is atrocious, the battery doesn't stay charged more than two days (and that's on standby, not being used)and it really struggles with the reception where other phones don't. Lack of active flip isn't a problem, I do have fingers which are capable of pressing a button!

Think the phone is the best one out, & since then have bought a Sharp GX29. I have a question thats pussling me. I have this world icon with an exclamation mark in the middle of the screen. Ive no idea how you get rid of it. Ive noticed some others have had a similar problem, but when I go to Vod Live, Options, Adv, Alert in box, its empty, so theres nothing to delete. Any ideas? THanks

The Sharp GX25 is one of the best phones I have ever owned, despite being one of the cheapest in price. The camera is the best VGA camera I have ever seen, and the screen is fantastic. Big thumbs up to Sharp, the GX25 is awesome, and I'm sorry I traded mine in!

I bought the GX-25 second hand recently. As a phone to make calls ans send text it is very good. Camera and video features are not of impotance to me but the camera is seen as handy if I want to record damage to motor vehicles after a car accident or for some other incident that needs a handy and concise record. I have not had any of the stated problems. It would appear that quality control is lacking. Shame.

i bought one of these fones 6 months ago and i wouldnt recommend it.. unless u hav low expectations.. it always switches on n off randomly and now wen it reads the sim card it switches off n back on, on going cycle.. luckily it is stil under warrenty so i am going to get it fixed and then sell it n get a proper fone :)!

Hi i think this phone is ok but i have had better.Can anyone please help me because when my phone is switched off, after i turn it in when i go straight into messages it has the other things up already like multimedia and that but text does not let me click on it for about 40 seconds.If you could,please turn off your phone and then after you switch it back on,please go into messages straight away and let me know if it lets you click on text.Thanks alot.

this is the worst phone ever. i'm very surprised to see it score so highly since i find it incredibly difficult to use and i've had countless problems with it after just a week of usage. makes me wish i hadn't swapped it for my trusty nokia 3510i.

I get a lot of phones to review for the magazines I work for, so I get to play with most different brands and models. I liked this one so much I ended up buying it. I find it easy to use and does all the things I need in a PHONE. That's right... PHONE. If I want to remake Ben Hur I'll use a video camera. If I want to store a billion photos I'll use an album. If I want a zillion MP3s I'll use an iPod. Sarcasm aside, I overcome the memory 'problem' by emailing myself the photos I want to keep, and deleting the ones I don't. I overcome the MP3 'problem' by not using my phone as my stereo. If you are after a phone that's easy to use, with some extra features for when you're waiting for the bus. Then this one's a gem. If you're wanting an all-in-one home entertainment system / movie studio / tracking device / fishing rod then you'd best look somewhere else.

i have got gx25 ferrari for a half year and i think this is nice phone, it's taking beauty pictures but terrible videos. It doesn't support mp3 format, there is not enough space for apps. You cant insttalling games or other apps from pc but only from your network (i have vodafone). good phone for calling, noz good for fun. Just my thinking

i've had this phone for only a few weeks but wow, it's pretty nice to have, i mean it's comfortable plus the screen is very nice. i can save up to 80 pictures, u know that if u edit a pic and save it (edit with sparkilng for exapmle, so it doesnt have much difference) you can save a lot more memory space? then u can delete the old pic. and does what a PHONE is supposed to do wonderfully. i love it and recommend it, hurry before they stop making them

this phone is a really good phone, its easy to use and dose everything that i need it to do. it would be nice if it had more memory, and wen i brought it, it never came with a cable to put it on my comeputer :( the battery is great on my phone, i have my phone on all the time and i use it alot, it can last for about 7 days or more, pretty good for a nine month phone. if ur looking for an easy phone and a great phone get this one

If you want a top-class camera go to Dixons and buy a camera. If you want a smart, small, easy-to-use phone that still looks cool after a year, get one of these.

this is a good fone. hopefully getting it soon. my mum got it for christmas and was having serious problems with it such as battery only lasting a day (sometimes not even a whole 1), not being able to get any signal and the screen going blank. took it back to the vodafone shop n gave her a new one straight away the one she got now so much better and battery lasts for ages!!!!

I can't stand this phone! If you are thinking of buying one - don't! I was recently 'upgraded' to this phone from my various old trustworthy Nokias and I am SO disappointed! Sure, it has lots of fancy features but NONE of the useful things like 'send to many' and the calendar is a pain. THE most irritating thing about this phone is that the central 'menu' button sticks behind its collar all the time and makes it impossible to navigate! Great fun! Worst of all, Im stuck with it for a whole year!!!!

Graet little phone, and a very good price, does everything I would want and more. Good battery life, good resolution, keeps as much storage as a normal phone user would need. If you want better data storage buy an mp3 player or a camera!

I think this phone has the worst memory in the world , big as a brick and brakes easily. The video is only a few seconds long, so wht is the point in havin it. The camera is alright but not brialliant, and is skank to look at especially when u open it up

this is a load of rubbish, the video isnt worth having it so bad, the camera is just average, the screen is so big it makes everything look tiny, It is a horrible brick, it actually clicks when you open it and the memory is so bad I could sue. 2.1 mb is nowhere near enough for average pictures, rubbish videos, demo games and terrible quality ringtones. Oh yeah me and my mates bluetooth stuff and what sounds crystal clear on theirs sounds awful on mine. Within a day of havin this phone I was bored.

My mate got this for christmas and I got the samsung e350. We both have infrared so we were sending stuff but it kept coming up saying Insuffitent storage (not enough memory) she deleted all of her sounds except three and most of her pictures and I sucessfully sent her a ringtone. I went to send her another one and it said, insufficent storage. The same happened when she used bluetooth with my other mates. She deleted nearly everything and she had 1.1mb left, which is ridiculous. It is also a brick and it clicks when you open it! I dont think it's very good at all and it is a big problem if you want to send stuff.

What can I say about the GX25? Hmmm I've had this phone since December 04 I fell in love with it since the day i had it!!!! The best phone I have ever had. The most beautiful'ist one ever!! My contract expired recently so I decided to get a free upgrade to the w800, which only has radio and mp3 other than the that the GX25 is soooo much better. I've decided to keep using the GX25 as my normal phone and i'm keeping the w800 as my mp3 player hehehe allow the ipod.

hello i just bought my gx25 a few days ago and i'v had louds of phones like p910 6630 d500 bla bla and had an gx20 and this is the most elegant phone on the market, but i seem to have trouble puting an mmf (smaf) file on the phone, i heve all the softs like yamaha, bla bla , and when i send it to the phone via bluetooth it keeps rejecting it:(((do i need an aditional soft? like a the phones soft(i dont have that) some links pls:) heeelp plss e-mail on [email protected] or just an anser thanks i'll ou a beer:D

just bought it yesterday. looks excellent. I downloaded the SMAF converter from the YAMAHA website and trimmed the file under 100kb. The music length is long enough (about 10 to 15 seconds) for setting up as a ringtone. Only one criticism is its volume: sometimes you won't be able to hear it in a noisy environment. Vibration is not bad. Its connectivity with my PC is excellent. Unlike my previous Samsung phones (almost failed every time). The infrared is fast and stable. The screen quality is increadibly clear and crispy. Very well done, Sharp. Although the internal memory is not big enough for many people, for me it is sufficient. 90kb for a music. 20kb for a photo. Since its connection with PC is good, I don't need to store a lot of stuff in my phones: just transfer them to PC. I would strongly recommend this phone.

It is a nice looking device, and excellent display resolution that is rare to be found in other mobiles, but the memory is too small and i think that its ring too is not loud enough for my use,no wavs or amrs can be set as ringtones but overall it is good

I LOVE this ph. Just upgraded from the GX15 so am noticing the superior quality in camera. Love all the neat features and really easy to use menu. The games are so much more fun to play on this ph, i can actually see them (the GX15 games are tiny to view). Shame about the memory being so small. That is my only disappointment about this ph. Really easy to use blue tooth etc. All in all i love this phone!!!

Has any clever person figured out a way of tinkering with the software so that you can set up Active Flip? I've had the phone about 6months now. It is good. Would have liked proper screen on the outside, and the volume of the earpiece could do with being louder at times. The memory is totally inadequate for anything but a few photos and a couple of vids. The main bugbear, for me, is the lack of active flip.

No, you cannot overide the 100kb limit. Yes, the SMAF file does transfer fast, and yes you can set is as ringtone. You can also convert WAV files (uncompressed MP3) to SMAF, for that you will need special software which you will find here: You need to transfer the SMAF file through your Handset Manager. (PC Software)

"Window like" button underneath up/down buttons is for camera access. Cannot overide 100kb limit on data transfer.(unless you know assembler...) Cannot send .jar or .jad files to mobile over bluetooth or with PC software. (I read it is sometimes a condition when Network agrees to brand mobile) This mobile does not play MP3's so you cannot send MP3 via bluetooth or PC software. TIP: Convert MP3 to SMAF Cannot program mobile off, or I haven't found it. Phone goes on when alarm sounds, even when it is a reminder from calander. Calander VERY impressive. Displayed in 30 days, can sync with oulook easily, I read it can take up to 8 entries per day(with seperate alarms), I don't have more than 6 entries per day. Displays entire reminder on inside, or will scroll it on outside screen if to long and phone is closed. It is possible to type numericals, press and hold letter, or cycle through to number. One of the very impressive features that I found quite handy is it's aility to set up to 8 alarms. I use alarms often, so now I don't have to change the time constantly. I leave the morning alarm set, and then change another alarm. Another nice feature is that you can set the duration of ringtones. 2-59 seconds. So you can play just the bit of music you like for sms, or mms.(also aplicable for calender reminders/entries, alarms, etc.) Another feature, you have different ringtones for SMS, MMS and WAP msgs. No, you cannot turn the sound of for camera, but there are some discreet sounds, so your poor victim(the one you are trying to photograph without their knowledge) might think it is a msg. No active flip.(Cannot answer when you open mobile) Read that this feature was removed due to survey. The mobile is very fast, a number of people were complaining about how easy it is to press Vodafone buttun(right top) but when you press red phone button it immediately exits, not like Samsung "Please wait...". But in anyway I did not hav problem o easily pressing Vodafone button for longer than first day, it's a new phone, there are bound to be some changes to your routine! BEST: The best asset of this phone is the screen quality. Honsetly, I have checked alot of phones, they just don't compare. The quality is crisp, and clear. You have to see the quality for yourself, this is it's selling point. Screen quality better than Nokia 6680, or 6230 or any other Nokia. Screen better than Sony Ericson K700i, K750i, K800w. Better than V3 and V220 moto, better than D500 Samsung... It's like the matrix... "No one can tell you what it's like, you have to experience it for yourself..."

Have to say was a bit perplexed when Icouldn't get various items to work on my GX25, but one call to vodafone and their people had the phone up and running in no time. I am very pleased with the photo quality, love the games, great when on the train to work, ring tones could be a bit more special, but can get downloads. I thnk it's great.

Its Perfect, the only downside at all and i mean these are the only downside is the limited memory which is not expanable and the other is the vodafone firmware. Other than that the screen is crystal clear the camera is very high quality and the videos are decent. VERY GREAT FONE

I bought this phone on the weekend, Upgraded from a nokia 3200 - Nicer phone I think, A Nice change from nokia and a good one. The screen is sooo clear. And the camera is the best I've ever seen. Thumbs up! All I was disapointed with is the 2mb memory- what can you do with that? It's alright for now - but when I start putting my items on it.

i got the sharp GX25 after my samsung e700 broke. the really annoying thing is that this sharp phone hardly stores any memory which means you can only take a few pictures! apart from that everything is cool with the gx25.

I received a call offering to update my motorola phone for free (vodaphone network). I was offered the Sharp GX25 and accepted as the speck seemed pretty good and, of course, it was for FREE. At first I was alittle disappointed with the styling (small external screen) however, I have come to consider it very stylish, sleek and most importantly, different! I do have three gripes: 1st, and most importantly, is the closeness of the function keys (great for girls with long pointy nails but lousey with my maulers! 2nd, the jerky image when taking a photo or video (appauling!) and lastly the memory is disgracefully small and the video recording quality and time suffers. Ok, it was a freeby, but so would be the new Samsung D600 (which has a phenomenal spec) but only available on O2, but that isn't a problem as the contract is priced the same, albeit, with the benefit of FREE 50 texts included. Conclusion: I'm sending back the Sharp GX25 and awaiting the arrival of the Samsung. Hope this helps any potential UK customers.

I bought this phone a couple of days ago but I have a big problem with it at the moment. I had it stored in my sports bag at a sports carnival. It was turned off as the battery was a bit flat. The weather was pretty lousy and my bag got a bit damp. Now the phone is suffering from condensation which you can see in the little strip on the top cover and it just won't work at all. Is my phone completely stuffed now? Does anyone know if you can fix mobile phones that get condensation in them? I thought the condensation problem was caused a little bit to easily and am wondering if this is a common problem with this model phone.

can anybody help, I am having problem connecting this phone to my PC with handset manager. it always shows the error "Please click center button--settings--connectivity--pc software--bluetooth to enable the connection" error. found this bout annoying WAP icon This had been bugging me for a week or so too as there is no mention in the handbook. I have found the answer now. Connect to vodafone live and as soon as you are in choose options in the red panel at the bottom, scroll down to advanced and select. Got to option 4 (alert inbox) and select this. then see the message and delete it. Annoying globe then disappears! Good luck

this fone is super cool. I guess my only complain is like everyones complaint. Its very small memory. Then again, I guess most business type fone (except for the high end ones) dont need too much memory. Its enough for the odd photos of family and friends. I came from a nokia 6800 and that had 4mb and I didnt even fill half of it. so this fone does me fine. i like the size and weight of it.

The Sharp GX25 is a brilliant all round mobile phone; 262k colour screen, Bluetooth (data transfer to other mobile phones aswell!), Infrared, an excellent camera (believe me the camera on this phone matches any 1.3 megapixel camera probably better), video recording and playing, quality feel, stylish. i think something needs to be made very clear so here goes. Sharp do not do active flip on any of they new models. This come after doing a survey in china and japan (where they sell them the largest amount of their phones) people said it was to "hollywood" ... so if you want a phone that answers when you flip it get a motorola they tend to have that option

In the last week my phone has been really bad with reception, and has been having little errors. For example the little phone on the front would not go away,(when you get a missed call) I didnt miss it and i deleted all my calls. and it stayed there for 24 hours then just went away. i think this phone smells! when i got it i thought it was going to be great don't get me wrong the camera is great and so is some of the other stuff i love bluetooth it is great i and send all me mates vid's for free!!! but my problem is the smell as soon as i opened the box the phone came in, i smelt the most horrible smell, origanly i thought ah what the heck its a great phone the smell will go soon, but thats where i was wrong i have had this phone for two weeks and even when the phone is in my pocket every now and then i get a wiff of the horrible smell that surrounds the phone, the other day i was there in the pub having a drink with this realy nice girl and then suddenly " can you smell that?" "what?" "hmm smells like fish!" Good phone, But.... I often used to SMS contacts/business cards to other phones from my old NOKIA. You cant do this with the Sharp. You have to use Bluetooth or IR. Why no SMS?

I think the phone is cool. But the only promblem I have is that the phone dosen't have active flip which is the main reason they make these types of phones and also there is no way you can add themes to the phone.

I love this phone! the one thing i do not like is battery life, i have the GZ200 version and it runs dry quickily when i have bluetooth on often or when i use the camera... quality is defenitely top notch, user interface is friendly and size is nice and small. Even with just 2 megs of memory, it does what it does.... games is limited though and it is another weakness.... but i love this phone Right now been looking at nokia 6230 or SE K750i....

I have jst bought a sharp gx25 and it is great, Pros: Good camera which, although slow, has super quality, good storage space, good size and great design, always seems to get a signal. cons: Whith bluetooth turned on the battry goes down very quick, the battry display bars seen to go down very quickly once they get past the third one, for instance, if you have three bars of battry life left and you turn it on and then back on it may well say battry low, quite poor vidio capture. To ME91 GX25 and GZ200 are the same. The only differnce is the user interface. GX25 is made by sharp for Vodafone, while GZ200 is for a Chinese company called XERA. But basically, both phones are the same.

i have had this handset for about 6 months and think its a good enough phone. It does everything I need a phone for ! like calling people and receiving calls on it too !! oh and it takes pictures :) In answer to those shutter noise problems, NO you cant turn it off, but you can change the sound, when you activate the camera, click options, and go up, you will see shutter sound.

Well, I have used the sharp GX25 for a couple of months now and I think it is a great phone. It functional features are great. Great quality digital camera, slick design and though it does not have an external antenna, its signal reception is great. I am happy the Irda and Bluetooth works well enough unlike some other models of the GX family. Some complains I have about the phone is that it doesn't have active flip (that is flip open and answer a call), it has very low memory space hence I can't do some stuffs. I doesn't support some music file format like MP3 and it can be selective in terms of transferring applications via Irda or Bluetooth. Also during video mode active, recording is blurr while phone moves. Generally, I thinks it is a great phone. I has my vote!

I bought this model a little under 2months ago...Pictures are fantastc n compared to other models available(however it is my experience that sharp are one of the best for photo resolution).I have previously ownec two other sharp numbers including the relatively old model Sharp GX20. i have had many models and makes of phone over the last few years and in my opinion sharp is the leading manufacturer...notibly this model with it's easy to use style, light weight and high resolution.

To STEF I would definitely recommend GX 25 V3 only wins in the design. Inside, GX 25 is absolutely better. It has better display, camera quality and shape. V3 is thin, but it is too wide, therefore it is not ergonomic in our hands. Anyway, this is only my opinion. The choice is yours.

You can see who is calling on the external screen, and you could turn it down using the side keys when its closed. So I don't really accept that as a valid reason why it doesn't have active flip. But like I said, its a great phone in just about every other respect. You'll like it.

I am buying this phone tomorrow. I have a friend who has it and they say the reason why it doesn't answer when you open it is so you have the choice whether to reject or answer the call or turn the sound down while it is ringing if you don't want to answer the phone. Makes perfect sense to me. Hopefully I'll like everything else about the phone, like most of you :o)

Hi there, Could anyone help - I got my first wap alert on my GX25 recently and closed the screen without deleting anything and now the wap alert icon is permanently on my screen. I've searched through live! but I can't find any way of accessing the alerts and to delete them. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I have this phone you can answer it pressing any key (I think). I always press the side button that says Answer. Trust me whenever you are in a group and you get this phone out and compare it to everyone else's you will always win. All the latest phones 6230 by Nokia which everyone has is not a patch on this, this has excellent video recording as well. Fantastic picture quality, it doesn't open as easily as a Samsung e700 though but other people are always jealous...

I've had the GX25 for about a month now. A few of my posts appear earlier about the open-to-answer feature. For STEF: The phone cannot do this. The best it can do is having the any key answer function selected, then pressing the side buttons (or any other) when you open the phone. Its the biggest disappointment for me, I really expected it to have this feature, I didn't even think to verify this at the store. I'm not sure I understand exactly what Jidane means below. I live in the UK, and just about every flip/clamshell phone I've ever come across has the open-to-answer/"active flip" function. The Motorola T720 I had TWO years ago had this function! With regards memory, I've reached the limit with about 80ish medium (240*320) pics, and nothing else. I've bought myself a bluetooth dongle to transfer and send them to freinds, I've had a problem connecting, but the post below by Antmoll should hopefully sort this out..Thanks!! I don't really play games on it. I would like to get Tetris for it though... In general, I'm happy with this phone, as I'm happy with the tarriff I'm on. (Which is more important I think) The camera quality is great, even in low light (I've got a few good photos from inside nightclubs), but the subject MUST be still. The 'shutter speed' is too slow for action shots. I don't use it for videos, maybe because there's not enough memory to bother, maybe because I'm not interested...who knows? Its light, the batterys OK compared to my old phone (need to charge every 2 days with normal use [for me])sound quality and signal are both good. Perhaps the phone isn't as flexible as it could be, but for me, its OK. Just a shame about the active flip problem....

To Answer the storage question i have only about 4 30second mp4's and 50 or so photos which works out ok cause, i just put everything straight on the computer, as for ringtones and stuff im not too sure cause i haven't played around with it that much yet. for stef on the highest res you can save about 25 fotos, bit unlacky but it doe not play mp3s you would have some luck with getting a data cable and getting some midi files to play, and with midi files being so small you should be able to store a couple on the phone ......understand that this phone has a limted memory that cant be expaned.

To RICK I would recommend GX25. I was using K700i befor I bought GX25. K770i is very sluggish. the keypad is very hard and uncomfortable. Although it has more memory to store files, the camera is not even the same quality as GX25. GX25's camera is excellent for VGA quality. The display, of course, is better in GX25 than K700i. (i mean really much better!) hope this help

FOR RICK If just be aware if you buy a sony ericsson from the uk market there has been very little r+d done on these fone i work for a mobile air time provider and have had probelms with v800, s700i and the k700i the k700i as been the biggest headache for S/e at one point they wre looking at doning a recall but did not. Has something to do with network compatiablity. from personal exp i woulkd rather use a S/E as a papert wieght .....at least it would be serving a purpose

Hi Rick, Go for the K700i, much better phone...more memory etc.. getting one myself...gx25 is too restrictive for me, it prevents files over 100k from being downloaded (no good for swapping vids with your mates)and will only let you download games via wap with k700i download games from the net and put them on your phone with a bluetooth dongle attached to your pc or a data cable and send 'em to your phone piece of p****...but if your not bothered about swapping funny vids with your buds via bluetooth and don't play games then i suppose there's nothing wrong with the gx25... hope this helps you a little Rick

Regarding conecting the phone to pc via a bluetooth dongle and getting handset manager to connect with the phone....what you need to do is pair up your phone with the software that came with your dongle(IVT Bluesoleil in my case)and click on the serial port icon, it should then tell you it's connected via serial port 5 as in my case or whatever. then in handset manger the gx25 software click on 'option' then 'interface setup' and select the serial port that your dongle software has given you. hope this helps :) P.s the fact that this phone resticts the max file size of 100kb for file tranfers and you can't upload games to it via bluetooth makes this phone a lame duck for me. Get yourself a phone that is more userfriendly. i don't actually own one, friend has and i'll steer well clear.

Hi Zorica. It depends on the things you consider the most important when it comes to a mobile phone. This handset has very good software (quick), very good sound and excellent (I mean excellent) display. It�s a bit short on memory but still with the bluetooth you can make up for that (and you can store quite a few images anyway). I would recommend it hands down. As for the other phone you mention what I know is from the web, I can�t give any personal experience on that. Cheers.

only one word to discribe this phone but u cant swear on here! this is just a cheap tacky phone with a camera stuck in it and as for the video your having a laugh, normal capture about 10 secs, exstended capture, wait for it about 25 secs!!! if anyone is thinking of getting it dont waste �200 i read a review saying it was a ferrari of phones whoever wrote that cant tell the difference between a ferrari and a robin reliant.Overall this phone is a total waste of money.

i got the Gx 25 today and i can tell it's the best phone i ever had. i had tried the Gx20 for about 2 years now but the Gx25 is much better: slim,stilish,light, bluetooh( data and voice), internal antenna the only missing thing comparing to Gx20 is the camera it's only a Cmos camera insted of CCD ( CCD are much better). anyway i'm glad to have it. in a word it's sharp to have a sharp!!!!

Dont listen to what anybody has to say about it on vodafone. If you like the phone, but hate the provider GET IT UNLOCKED!!!!!!!! Thats what i'm gonna do. Picked mine up for �200 new, so dont give me crap about it being over-priced. I haven't received my phone yet but it cost me A$360 the guy who paid US$400 either was a sucker who the sales person saw coming or is a dope and has no clue and should be banned from posting his opinion. The phone is the best you can get for the little amount of money that you are paying the equivalent of a nokia phone with the same features or any other brand come to think of it is easy in excess of A$600.

I bought this phone for use worldwide including USA. I wanted something also with Bluetooth and for it to be light. Because of the high pixel camera and display I settled on this model. After about two months use here is my findings. PRO: Great display. A very sharp looking device, No pun intended. Blue tooth works. 5-navigation is a plus. CONS: Very High Priced. For this kind of money the talk time is ridiculously low. They advertise 3.5 hours, but I am lucking if I get 2.5. Plus when the battery runs out there is no warning, if you are talking to someone, it just powers off. Phone does not come on when you flip open the device, even though it will disconnect when you close the flip. The numbered buttons are flat with the surface and small. So most times, I am hitting two numbers at once, almost impossible to dial with one hand. The device is all plastic, and for the money, over $400 US I expected more. The plastic is soft on top of it. Very easy to scratch, ding or nick, which I have none already just by caring it in my pocket. The external display is only a blue lighted LED. Cheaper other phones, have the graphic display, which this phone, again for the price, most certainly should have had. No picture association with phone numbers. As is common with most high res phones out there today, there should have been a way to attach a photo that you can take with the camera, to a contact number. Then when the person calls, that photo is displayed in the external screen. The cheap external display on this Sharp phone is impossible to read in a dark environment if you are doing another task, such as driving. All in All this phone is priced in the ridiculous range. I'm getting rid of this phone and looking for something else, at least with a longer talk time.

Fantasic Phone, AMAZING screen, great camera (for a phone!), nice design. Just to confirm, the Vodafone Australia phones are not network locked, and despite what Vodafone Australia told me (they have no knowledge of their phones at all!), you CAN reprogram the MMS, GPRS and WAP settings to any other network. The screen on the front is a little small, the memory is also pretty small, and the green backlight keys are an odd choice by Sharp, but overall I would give this phone an 8.5/10. :o)

Sorry fogot to mention about wap allert icons. If tou cant remove the wap alert icon go in live! then options then push message. Delte any messages that are ther and the wap alert icon will be gone.....

With a bit of serching the MMS setting for most (not all) networks can be found. Rememember though the firmware is all Vodafone so those live! icons will allways be there.

Vodafone australia doesn't lock any of their phones, and the bluetooth doesn't have to do with the network. Using any sim card in this phone would be fine. The only thing you would not be able to access is vodafone live.

Great phone, let down a bit by lack of memory, screen is awesome. To use with other networks you just have to put in their WAP & MMS settings. You can also see it at Vodafone Bondi Junction, which is better than centrepoint because it is near the beach.

The GX 25 and its predecessor GX15 are absolutely the best in screen and camera. But wonder if Sharp has done a mistake or its just an overlook...both phones have no facility to clear call logs.!!! you have to delete the dialled, miss and received calls one by one...I tried my best to find a one-press button for the log clear but there is no such facility. ALAS

I can see where you are coming from Jb. However the lack of memory on the GX25 surely cant be the only reason to dislike it. Does that make the Nokia 6230, Siemens S65 and O2 X3 better than the K700i just because they take memory cards as well? I can see where you are coming from but not everybody wants tons of memory. They just want to snap a few pics and go (sorry that sounds so cheesy). The GX25 takes photos which, in my opinion, are about the best around for a VGA camera. But its just an opinion and if you disagree with my views then fair enough (thats what this forum is for).

i agree, this kicks ass. no need for so much memory as the 640x480 camera takes 20kb pics but still great quality. tried gx30's 1MP camera - not much difference in quality on the screen - only difference is memory usage. Beats Motorola anyday - they're too heavy! Beats Sony Ericsson cos they do crap flip fones.

Dead easy to use - I've been a Nokia person for 8 yrs and this has to one of the best. When I first saw this phone I was amazed.. but then I have been out of the loop since I got my GX10i a year ago. Having done some research I am now better informed. In comparison with other newly released phones, it seems pretty ordinary in most respects and quite behind in others. It has fairly limited memory with no expansion available and a pretty poor camera. It is clear Sharp have sacrificed the spec to make make this phone smaller and "trendier", so it will appeal to the populus. That said, the difference between this and my old GX10i is unbelievable, and only goes to show how far the industry has come in such a short space of time.

I've had a look at the XERA web site and it states the phone has 2.9M of memory. Also provides some extra info/spec that you don't get on other sources

The phone does not support memory cards, but has an internal 8MB memory.

Phone was brought out after gx30 to try and match samsungs small size but to also incorporate Bluetooth. GX30 and 20 are big, fat phones, this one isn't.

Nice phone! Does anybody know how much internal memory this phone has because Sharp is known to have a little inter. memory?? Can it use memory cards?

OMG- this handset looks sick!!! I've got the GX22 now and I'm wondering why the GX25 has been added now... I'm a bit confused why it's after the GX30, or did it actually come out before the GX30? Anyone know? looks very nice but!

Really good handset. So much nicer than the GX30. Great size,Good features and simple to use. It hasn't been overloaded with unusable techy stuff either. Superb.
