I gave my T105 to my little brother about 3 years back after using it for approximately 2 years and the phone still works. It works despite having fallen in the river while fishing, it works despite having fallen on hard surface countless times, it works even after having a shower with the phone. Just dry the phone in the sun for a day. A Very Durable and Strong little Phone.

Hello, This is the site, where I checked info about T105 before I get it. Now will write back here, since I am about to get new SE phone soon. I am using Sony Ericsson T105 for more than 1 year and 6 months. I am very happy with it. Here is why: THE GOODS: - good design - small size - light weight - cheap price - cool functions - battery lasts resonable time - cool xenon backlight This is my first phone and I got it after friend of mine recomended it to me. This is really great starter phone. If you look to buy Your first phone - this is cool one! If you look to buy a phone for your kid - this is great choice!! What are the bad things? DISADVANTAGES: - kinda hard to press keys - some bugs My current girlfriend is pure Nokia fan. She had 2 Nokias, Nokia 3310, now she haves Nokia 6230i. Compared to her Nokias, here is what I noticed Sony Ericsson T105 is: Abbreviations: Nokia3310=n3, Nokia6230i=n6, Sony Ericsson T105=t5 - n3 and n6 have better pressing keys - t5 displays all symbols for a key at top on screen when you type text - n3 and n6 have function to specify after how much time you want the autolock to activate. t5 does not - t5 is just a bit smaller in size These are the general differences I noticed. Now - every phone ( I think ) have bugs. Most are stupid. Sony Ericsson T105 have some too, and the result is the phone freezes or turns off automatically. BUGS: - when you navigate fast in the menu, phone could freeze - when you have more than one reminder set, sometimes when the reminder alarm rings, on the display it shows the text for another reminder - when someone calls you, if you pick-up too fast, the phone may freeze NOTE: When I mean "too fast", I mean "clicking as crazy". Since on the computer with the mouse I click fast, on keyboard I write fast, but on the phone you better wait for the device to react - show new screen etc. There were other minor bugs also, but can't remember them. CAUTION: Do not leave this phone exposed to hot sun light for long time. I noticed mine started to behave strange. DOWNLOADING NEW LOGOS/RINGTONES: - i don't know how to get new ringtones: i enter new ringtone in the phone composer - it's good enough - there are logos on internet you can get for this phone HOW TO PRESERVE BATTERY LONGER: ( few tips ) Sometimes I talk too much for one call and this drowns the battery. I use the charger only at home, so on the street I am doomed to have battery dead if I talk too much. Here is what I do: - i turn the sound off: press and hold C-key > TURN OFF SILENT - turn off vibration: SETTINGS > SOUNDS AND ALERTS > > VIBRATING ALERT > OFF - if it is not during night i also turn off the backlight: SETTINGS > DISPLAY > LIGHT > OFF Of course when you charge your phone, remember to turn on all these things back. With these settings turned off, I could get my phone to reach the evening with battery almost exhausted and charge it at home. Well I wrote too much. Hope this was useful to you. Bye. Anyways I like this better because has so many good and creative aplications, like create a background, you can drwa it!! Also you can compose your own ringtone (it's undcredible easy!). Man I read some really stupid reviews on this phone! "I can't take pictures with it!" - Well DUH! It's not a cameraphone! "It doesn't have colour screen!" - Of course it doesn't, didn't you look at it before you bought it?!?!?! "It's not polyphonic!" You people should look up a phone before you buy! This phone has been great for me as it does exactly what a phone is supposed to do: communications! The battery life is not spectacular but not bad either.

Well let me see. I have this phone for over 6 months. No big complains if you exclude the fact that this is my second one.. the first one broke down. As far i understood a piece from the signal amplification block was burned out. Funny because it worked just fine if i pushed (well enough) its middle part, holding the 2 sides. :P Not funny 4 me, when i was about to lose the waranty. Ah well.. i have a rather bad opinion about it. Let's just say that it's a slow phone. It's keys controller doesn't react as fast as i type, and i ghave 2 wait for it to catch up. And there were sometimes when it had lost signal. And.. sometimes, when i tryed to make a phone call it would restart, just like that. Non the less it's dimentions are nice: it's small, u barly feel it in the poket, and the blue light it's verry impressiv. I personally don;t like the 2 function keys YES NO that do all the work, suppose u answer by accident an incoming call. The battery satysfyed me just well. The calendar and time functions are mos usefull as they are practical and well implementated in the software. As a conclusion.. this phone has got his ups and downs; you are invested to conssider if this phone makes his money (note: it's not that expensive) Glad that i could help you, Miluman (Romania)

i've been using the T105 since it was launched. The styling and functionality are very good. But the battery backup is bad and the phone just can't catch the signal unless its strong. Thats a very big drawback that can really upset any user. Its very frustrating to use it in places where the signal strength is high. The call clarity is low..and the call just gets dropped. Plz dont fall for the looks!

Is anyone having problems with the option "status request" of the sent sms? My problem is that the status is allways "delivered", even if the other mobile is turned off. When the other person finally receives the sms, i receive another status with "delivered". Same with you?

I'v had both T100 and Nokias before this T105 and I can't understand the complaints on the sound. Are you sure you found the volume button at the side? My T105 (like the T100) at its highest volume is good and clear 50 cm from my ear. Good reception in week areas but the ringtone could perhaps be a little louder.

Good looking and light phone, but has reception problems and a limited number of ringtones(10). I'm yet to figure out how to download ringtones,(the composer is a bit cumbersome) and you can't hide your ID from others if you want to. I like the blue backlight.

I purchased this mobile on January this year. The battery back up of this phone is not adequate. Once the battery was replaced but no change in performance. The battery gets discharged very fast and also it lasts for only 48 hours even with very less operation. Sound output is also not good. So be careful while buying this stuff. Look-wise vey nice. But every thing which glitters is not gold.

This is a cool piece,Its a budjet piece,n am happy with its reception viz sound clarity and yes though the ring volume is a bit low I would recomend this model as an alternative to nokia 3315 or for all that matters 2100.

i just got this phone for my birthday (1st June) to replace my old brick and it is great! i'm with Vodafone prepaid here in Australia and i've had no dropouts so far. the only probs i've found are that the games are pretty bad and the ringtones are pretty bad. anyone who complains about the volume of the phone should realize that the phone's volume is set on the lowest by default, to turn it up use the little scrolly-thingy on the top-left next to the light during a call. the display is pretty good, and can display 4 different shades of black/grey.

A very good reason to buy this phone is for its looks, esp in silver, thats why i changed my Nokia 8210 for this model. BUT , in India around the price range of 4-5k, try other options which have mor features like BenQ620 (clamshell), SIemens A60 (5.2k), Motorola C330, Motorola C350, but NO NOKIAS, they cimply charge TOO much.

Today, when I connected the phone to the charger, it is not getting charged. Your service centre here says the charger circuit has failed and need to be replaced. Hi, This phone looks really small n cute n having wonderful features. But, comparing 2 Nokia's user interface, this phone has very less options. Like,... if SMS send 2 b many persons (Not 2 a group) it is a cumbersome process, d ringtones can't be send, the poor reception, etc.

Well guys,take my advice and PLZ DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE.This is not a phone but a junk piece that's been thrown onto the faces of the customers.The problems that I face with my piece are 1.U may not believe this,but the piece HANGS just like our fav Windows 98.So sad that Sony Ericsson ppl havent placed ctrl+alt+del in this piece. 2.It restarts itself just for no cause. 3.We cant send ringtones to others. 4.The standby time is quite less than what they have claimed. So u ppl decide which to buy.

The differences with the T100 and T105 is that the T105 is designed to be a budget Nokia killer. The T105 can receive ringtones and pictures from Nokia phones making it an alternative. To add to it, the T105 has EMS, WAP, greyscale screen and comes in a nicer design which makes it better than any budget Nokia out there. Also, it's cheaper.

The basic diff is in T100 model, it's got blue icy light for the display and yellowish orange for the keypad. but, most customers r not satisfied with these 2 colours. that's why they've introduced this T105 model

Talk time meaning the time you can talk for when it's fully charged. Stand by time meaning the time it can last while on standby ONLY stupid. Not how long you can use your phone. Anyphone can have a good standby time. It doesn't mean that the person using it will leave it at STANDBY only. Use brains if you have any if you're making comments pls. Thanks.
