Nokia 8110 4G - User Reviews

  • I've been using Nokia 8110 4g for around a month now. Didn't notice any hiccups on the device except the slowness of facebook and whatsapp on the device, given the phone specification and the OS itself. Its a good device for me, lasted 2-3 days of mid to heavy use. Also I used the device as my primary device rather than a secondary device. Rate of the unit: 8 out of 10.

  • Is kaiOS a modern operating system?

  • UC browser now available in the KaiOS store, it’s better than the native browser

  • No,

  • Really want to know, does KaiOS support VPN connections?

  • Just asked Nokia support. An update for this phone is getting ready. No information about date.

  • Yes there is a QR reader in the KaiOS store. It is let down by the low quality camera though. Needs to be a big QR code because of no proper focus.

  • QR Reader ?

  • Yup. Same here. After updating it a few months back with the lates firmware and kaios version, I have been experiencing the same problems. Plus texting have been difficult recently because of it the lags. I hope #Nokia will fix this issue. I love using this because of it being a feature fone, but packed with possibilities.

  • The characters on the buttons are wearing off due to the rubberized keyboard It'd last longer if they were made of plastic

  • just upgraded my iPhone xr to this love this wee banana

  • KaiOS when did he leave?

  • 5/10 and I really like feature phones. Pros: +Amazing design +Loud speakers +Fits nice in a jeans pocket Cons: -Slow (I had a pc with 128mb ram and it was a beast. This phone with 512mb is not very responsive) -After 1 year of use plastic slider became less responsive, as the plastic is wearing off. -No default file manager -Difficult navigation/typing -The 3.5mm jack is weird, it doesnt recognize some of the speakers. The phone doesnt have a strong output so an amp is needed for quality sound. Then it sounds good. The player doesnt have an EQ, is very slow to find a song, and overall is very average. -Pretty costly for such a phone (was 80 EUR) THINGS TO CONSIDER: some of the problems can be fixed by hacking the phone (search bananahackers on google). It allows adding apps like filemanager. Hotspot is great, but drains the battery very quickly if you forgot to turn it off. OVERALL, a nice stylish phone that is just a phone, nothing fancy. I wish it had metal parts in the slider preventing the plastic tear-off. Sound output is ok. A bit pricey. Most of the problems are software related. BUT, it looks awesome!

  • Nokia stuck 4g. Very bad phone

  • Feeling let down by the phones lagging and heavy drain of battery after the V16 firmware and KaiOS 2.5.1 update I fully reset the phone. Now the phone is so much better. Wish I had done it straight after the update. I don't personally need call logs and old text so resetting wasn't a problem. I can understand that for some it might be a problem thought.

  • People, you are exaggerating. This is not a super-phone. It's not that bad actually.

  • Bought this last May 2018, worked fine for a year, then kaiOS bogged down. I scroll through recent calls list and it takes 3 seconds to respond; keypad has become so unresponsive and inaccurate that i avoid SMS altogether; opening the slider gets keypad 2 and 5 pressed; OS is greatly frustrating. Call quality and speaker are very clear though.

  • Yeah it's built from plasti which (i think) is pretty good for signal transferring. I compared the internet speed and ping of the connection when connected to 8110 4g and my smartphone. 8110 4g had the better connection. Not a huge difference. But a couple of milliseconds better ping and slightly higher signal strength. But i don't know how will it pair against a portable wifi router.

  • which firmware do you have?

  • anyone using this phone purposely for hotspot? isit good enough

  • Yeah kaiOS sucks

  • phone is too slow search contact must be exact name

  • My phone states 2.16 GB free space after many apps installed. Sounds like your phone could be a fake. There are many being sold that work on a different os.

  • phone reboots constantly when wifi is on. Nokia support has nothing more to offer than factory reset or return to amazon. VERY DISAPPOINTED

  • Same problem. Does your problem solved?

  • No

  • It has a voice recorder. Probably records to AMR based on the sound quality of the recordings. But it works well.

  • This phone hangs a lot. And typing is very annoying. This is a KaiOS problem. Bring back Symbian please.

  • It's not just you, I'm having this same issue too.

  • does it has a voice recorder ..........?

  • No

  • in this phone autocall recording yes and no,

  • No

  • The slide is annoying 😡 when using the phone to type

  • In this mobile we have auto call recorder Yes or No..

  • Though it's a nice phone with wifi and hotspot, but the slide edge is annoying because it deters typing at the bottom part of the phone. I wish there's a flip phone version like Alcatel Go Flip or a bar phone like Nokia 3310 4G with KaiOS installed.

  • 15

  • Which version of firmware it has?

  • Great fon I using it like color looks like 🍌 from my backward

  • 3310 has no WiFi or GPS. Different phones for different purposes

  • No! He'll be irritated. Buy a nokia 3310 instead.

  • Thank you. I will order it now.

  • sure! yes! absolutely!

  • Should I buy this phone for my grandfather' s birthday next month?

  • yes

  • Can't find inbox, outbox etc. Need to check texts so disappointing

  • So far I haven't found a way to choose my wished tone for SMS. And it's also irritating that there is a separate sound for sending a message. Tried then to mute the whole sound thing for messages so that only call alert would remain but couldn't do even that! So many simple pros of original Nokias have been lost.

  • Assuming door = slider It's there to make the phone unique and stand out from the competition, attracting more people towards the gimmick, hence improving sales. Thereby making more money for HMD global. It also serves to functions mentioned in the comment below

  • Hello! I think like the old Nokia 8110 , the Sliding door is for speedy Function like ; answering / ending call , lock/protect keypad from accidental press if some users did'nt locked the keypad immediately ☺ thanks! Have a Great Day!

  • what's the point of door in this phone?

  • new Nokia 105 (2019) has 4MB and new Nokia 220 4G has 24 MB storage , with 4MB and 16MB ram , the second one has camera too! they introduced just yesterday

  • Last time I have a Nokia phone, it's only had 32MB internal storage

  • You can use it as an only call phone. Making phone calls through WhatsApp.

  • Trust me, you do not wanna use this device for texting. If you want a feature phone, be patient and wait a couple of months. There are some rumours that HMD Global is making an Android powered feature phone.

  • No sir i guess i do not know how to use T9 :D haha just kidding. I was referring to a different scenario. Let's say you wanna type 12345, my device will replicate a number somewhere within that sequence like 123345 as if I've pressed the Number 3 key twice.

  • Sad to hear it´s not a hardware fault on my phone and change of the phone will not help. Mine adds extra pushs, like when writing R 777 it might end up S or even 'S. Worst thing is when you need to erase a letter or two it multiplies red phone / eraser and thus wipes all the text out.

  • The most appalling user unfriendly phone I have ever used. I only want a simple phone for messages and calls but it is extremely difficult to change modes eg from message to contact or log calls. Skips all over the place when texting a message, freezes in one spot plus a whole lot of other communicating problems. For a simple phone it is impossibly difficult on all scores.

  • Yes battery is now disappointing. Has to be charged every two days. I think the culprit is Whatsapp, which is a shame as that is the feature I wanted \(",)/

  • Same here :-(

  • Yes it does. It works pretty well too. You just enable 'Internet Sharing' in Settings is all.

  • Unfortunately it doesn't have Waze, but you can still use Google Maps. For Gmail there is a mail app preinstalled, just use that.

  • Check for updates. In v16 they added WhatsApp to the store.

  • Yeah, it does.

  • Does it support BHIM Paytm Ola Uber etc????

  • Does this handset support hotspot/internet tethering?

  • Hi. Does the new Nokia 8110 have a) Waze b) Gmail? Thank you.

  • no whatsap

  • it is available. check out this

  • I love this yellow and black colour scheme, but can anyone confirm that this phone now officially has Whatsapp AVAILABLE. Hive a good day

  • This is the bug of the update v16. There is no call duration.

  • I assume you know how to use T9?

  • Am i the only one who is not able to see my call duration? Any help

  • Yep, it sucks. Time to buy a proper phone

  • My does the opposite. It adds extra letters like if we double press a single key. The worst thing is, it happens randomly on different keys :D

  • If it had a really good camera, and a qwerty keyboard (k9 is crap for messaging), this would be my phone.

  • where I can buy real phone usa or europe version? ebay and amazon have many fake ones!!!

  • this phone always sends notification how can i stop this

  • Im referring to Synchronizing with Gmail contacts. Is there no one here who can help me ?

  • bannana

  • Idoes sync Properly when in V10 around 4,900 Contacts. But in newer Updated version of V15 it does not sync properly only 1,800 Contacts. Why ? Could anybody please help me.

  • Anyone else having issues with the spongy keypad? You try to type a text message and you want a certain letter but the phone thinks you want something else, even though you only tapped the key twice... Very difficult when putting phone credit on the phone

  • pros- Good for voice calls Youtube and Google map apps in a feature phone. Cons- The slider..... Loud but Worst speaker sound quality. Screen is too small to watch Videos Slow, sluggish Buttons feels weaker and uncomfortable than other feature phones Display is too dim and dull Weak build quality. The back part is a joke The phone looks like a weird and funny looking toy of some sort, might not suit with your personality Way overpriced. Currently Nokia 8110 costs -72 euro Nokia 1 costs - 60 euro Nokia 1 plus costs - 70 euro, comes with super smooth android 9 pie. Nokia 2.1 - which is by far the best you can buy under 100 euro is currently priced 80 euro.Has two awesome speakers that give even a flagship phone's speakers a run for its money. So the choice is yours. good luck

  • original 8110 did not have a button to release the slider, that was added to phone by the production team Nokia added that feature to the succesor ( 7110 )....... it would often fail

  • I agree. They couldn't seem to make up their minds about what kind of phone it was. If they kept the chip like that, it was more a regular cell phone, but with the hybrid approach, it needs way more power.

  • My battery drops pretty quickly (probably within a day) if I only connect it to WiFi let alone use it as a hotspot. With the chip being so weak, I wouldn't expect it to be a usable hotspot router anyway.

  • I bought it because I love the idea of a regular phone connecting to my Gmail contacts list. I think I only have around 500 contacts, so it's not a big problem. The problem came when I wanted to connect my phone's bluetooth to my car audio to listen to songs. The phone chip is so slow that it is such a hit and miss affair that I have given up and stuck to connecting my smartphone to bluetooth instead. The phone idea was great, but I think they needed to put in a more powerful chip to make it work. Even if it isn't a smartphone, if it is going to sync with thousands of contacts' details, then it needs a strong chip to do that in a reasonable time. With the recent update, I can't seem to figure out how to put calls on with volume, but SMS silent... I still like what it does enough to choose to have this and my smartphone so all's good. I don't regret buying or using it.

  • not that good.cant make call,chat only.

  • Thanks ! I just see it !

  • To see SD storage you need to enable it via settings. Settings - Storage - USB Storage > Enable. My first banana phone though was faulty and had to be replaced as the SD card wouldn't work.

  • Does anyone know how to see the memory card storage ? Until now, I have been able to see only the device memory storage (2.14gb) although I have put a brand new memory card 8Gb inside

  • Weird ! because mine, also a brand new one, shows 2.19 gb free memory

  • Whats its internal memery? my brand new 8110 4G shows total space 940.23 Mb only. is it 4GB or !Gb phone? Is KaiOs taking 3 GB of total space?

  • No charging issue but battery drain is pretty bad. Hope Kai OS team will fix it soon.

  • V15 update has almost made my phone unusable. Battery drain 15% every 30 mins on 4G without use and the device is continuously generating heat. Any ideas.

  • Thank you for your feedback !

  • there is no pushmail and whatsapp expierence is terrible. accu is empty after 10 hours of use

  • Looks great ! what about Emails support ? There is push mail functionality ?

  • I want to know. For people who have received the latest update which brings mainly support for whatsapp and Facebook , how is the whatsapp experience in this phone ?

  • Hiii, has anyone experienced too long CHARGING after v15 update? Everything looks okey but it have been 10hrs in charge from 20 percent now its still 97, before it took me about 2hrs or less from 20 to full charge, am waiting to see if this will increase battery life? Does the message problem solved? Before message was delaying or not reaching at all? Sorry english is my third language,

  • Has anyone experienced crashing and hanging of the Twitter app after v15 update? Im really pissed right now, the app wont load, neither can I exit using the back button, I still need to restart the device. Btw im on LTE.

  • can 4GB space sustain the apps if tons of videos and photos being viewed?

  • For the new Version V15 the new features are 1. Whats app 2. You tube 3. Twitter 4. Facebook and others . There is no error on the keypad. My unit is covered with NTC its Nokia warranty

  • Is does sync Properly when in V10 around 4,900 Contacts. But in newer Updated version of V15 it doea not sync properly only 1,800 Contacts. Why ? Could you please help me.

  • Im from the Philippines

  • witch band 40 or lower

  • What are the new features you got bro??? Is keypad error still happening?

  • what country?

  • I updated my Nokia 8110 to V15 yet when i Sync my Contacts (gmail) it just shows 1,800 contacts comparing to V10 ( not updated) is 4,900 contacts . Why ? Does anyone face the same problem i have ?

  • just received a firmware update 15.00.17.03 date april12. Philippine unit

  • Great little phone been using it for little over a month now. Replaced my Nokia 930. Reason for buying. I don't use a mobile phone a lot, seemed stupid carrying something that goes flat in 2-3 days when you don't use it much. Now i get about 8-10 days on a charge, still use it for youtube/facebook while im waiting in the car for the GF to finish work. Only things that have slightly annoyed me are 1. It often forgets the password for wifi networks. 2. Can't view pdf files. 3. Can't remove or change the " Shwup " noise when you send a text. And thats it really a solid 9/10 overall.

  • What is the approximate battery life if the 4g is continuously ON and is used as a HOTSPOT.

  • What ever happened to the push of a button slider?!?! I believe Neo could have been holding any phone with that feature, and it would have looked cool.

  • Speaker quality is terrible, its loud enough, but the quality is a huge letdown.I know these new nokia phones have very bad speaker, but this one is just.... not for music playback.

  • Jailbreak it man, it wil fix most of you issues!

  • WhatsApp is officially not supported on this thing, however, if you jailbreak it WhatsApp is possible. Source: I own one. (Google bananahackers)

  • Yes,indeed mate, Even I'm waiting for it . I checked with KIOS , and below is the GOOD news for other regions; @SandrasegaranS Hello! WhatsApp is available on KaiOS in India and we’re working together with the WhatsApp team to bring it to other regions. Please kindly note that we don’t have a confirmed release date for other regions yet but we're working to bring it to you as soon as possible.

  • According to Nokiapoweruser WhatsApp has been released or the 8110 in India. Can anyone clarify this.

  • The choice of processor is really bad. Should at least been 64bit. I don't think what'sapp will run on this old tech.

  • Any idea how can I make reminders ? Calendar is but only one ping and over :-(

  • Terrible phone. Lags incessantly. No updates. No Whatsapp. Broken promises.

  • Tried that, didn't work...

  • try removing the sim card and search updates in wifi mode

  • I am in from the Philippines, and latest software version for this is just v12.00.17.06. I manually check for updates every day and somehow it is still the latest software version available. May I know someone else from the Philippines or from the rest of the world not receiving even the v13 update? Thanks.

  • nokia 8110 is not a good set. keypad is not good. when i pres the button it give me 2, 3 more words or give me next word. set progres is slow. some time hanged, msg dleting ar contect searching slow. very bed prfarms.

  • that's a good phone for calls.but it has lag and sometimes type numbers twice and sometime doesn't type it down. every thing is good. bettery life is good and remains even up to 3 days. but if you use hotspot, forget the battery life. it drains less than 10 hours.

  • Nokia - is not replying. KaiOS - i will send them an email today. JIO - Their reply was Nokia 8110 4G is LTE & NOT VoLTE & i should install the JIO VOICE APP. (Ha Ha). But JIO website shows compatibility of Nokia 8110 4G as VoLTE. I guess they themselves dont know what they are talking off. I was using the phone on VoLTE JIO before the update, now after the update, there is no VoLTE option at all, so i am guessing the VoLTE is now st to "ALWAYS ON" in the system & JIO needs to support it OR Nokia has screwed up. Both are not replying at all.

  • Have you reported it to KaiOS or Jio and if so what did they say?

  • VoLTE stopped working. JIO Does not work anymore now after 14.00.17.04 update. DO NOT UPDATE ! My phones become useless now.

  • phones actually good for a basic phone to carry around, but now after the latest 14.00.17.94 update on the Nokia 8110 4G has lost VoLTE so no more VoLTE support for this phone as of now. This means Nokia 8110 4G does not work on JIO network in India. It was working perfectly well on JIO before this update, now its not working anymore, So for me the phone is useless now.

  • Update to V14 or V13?

  • Okay, thanks!

  • After updating the phone, the phone is good sorry for my last review

  • The hardware and the OS of this phone is a piece of sh*t. Don't buy it. I regret spending US$ 90 for a phone like this. It is nothing more than US$ 20 phone with 4G.

  • Yes.

  • I'm thinking of this phone, but I'm worried about it not having Java ME support. If it doesn't, I won't get this phone. Can any one tell me if this supports Java ME apps and games?

  • No...

  • Me, I sometimes turn it on for checking update then put it back to my drawer. 14.00.17.04 27.42MB 11/27/2018 Any improvements ? or just a bunch of unwated, useless apps!

  • Do you run Java programs؟؟؟

  • To nokia i was looking for a 4g replacement for my nokia 208,luckly i looked up the reviews for 8110 before i brought it,the reviews are all the same negitive,it seem's everyone is saying the same old thing about nokia, there old feature phone,s with the old(s40) op systems worked well on a small screen feature phone,s,i,m keeping my 208 as there is nothing to replace in 2019 this great well made easy to use phone with a well thought out op system, nokia go back to what you were good at making, a good quality feature phone,208,301 or 515 keep your fancy op system for your smart phone's.

  • I have had this phone since UK launch. I have to say that so far it has been a huge disappointment. The original flaws in the OS have not been fixed, the app store is mainly a games store. Shame really as the hardware has potential as can be seen by the Google apps and the 4G and hotspot features. It is hard to believe it is a 4G device when the browser is so slow. I think KaiOS has been the let down here. The only reason the Jio Phones are so good is because of the effort Jio have put in. KaiOS are riding on the back of Jio. Without Jio KaiOS is not much better than a standard feature phone.

  • any update to v14?

  • I'm the owner of one device since mid Nov. I was tempted because of the Whatsapp possibility and simplicity of it's design. Today, after seen how it operates, I wouldn't recommend it. -The telephone it's slower than the ones on the early 2000's. -There is no customize options on the shortcut menu. -Useless for anything else than to call, and while calling, lacks access even to sms to retriew any data in them or to search for contacts, etc. If I could just bring it back and get my money back... Do not buy this, or at least wait (if you are wiling to own "this") until Whatsapp will be finally available wherever you are living. Kaios, behaves totally careless with their own customers keeping them waiting, promising that an important app like Whatsapp will be available, whilst is NOT. The only apps in the store are games, there are about 15 games, Youtube, Twitter and some other apps, mostly useless. I will just sell the telephone, and I suggest to everyone to do so, because at least it will have an impact on the market price and people will think twice before buying something that everybody is trying to get rid of. Goodbye Kaios.

  • No any update in pakistan

  • Hi, Where can I find messages center number?

  • Yes, with a fast web browser too.

  • How to turn off annoying 'message sending sound'?

  • When You make a call you can't go to main menu you will stuk in call options " add call - hold call - volume - mute" Any solution?

  • QWERTY keyboard and Whatsapp would be great

  • Agreed

  • HMD Global Oy, if you are reading this, We want another Nokia 4g feature phone at MWC 2019! With: - KaiOS; - Selfie camera; - 1 GB Ram; - Quad-core; - 2000 mAh at least. :)

  • Thanks to Nokia at last, with a little caveat that there should have a Front camera as the phone is capable of 4G.

  • 14.00.17.04 27.42MB 11/27/2018 Any improvements ? or just add a bunch of unwated apps!

  • OH ! thanks

  • Hi, I discovered MP3 type for ringtones is easy to use and transfere by USB .. but I can't use it as a notice ring only as ringtones. Another cons, If you save a contact as "Dr. Johne" and try to search by "Jhone" you will never find it.

  • By any chance can we sync our google contacts to this?

  • As an advanced feature phone ... YES ... - Importing contacts easly by bluetooth from android& symbian phones. - Any contact could save more than one number. - Wifi & hotspot. ,,, BUT ,,, - Can't export "notes" via bluetooth. - Calender app. couldn't read imported evidence from symbian calender "android not checked". - Poor Kaios store apps. - Cons as posts.

  • Hi, Could any one suggest download websit for ringtones Mp3 type could be used thanks

  • can i buy this phone ? pls tell me!!!!

  • You're thinking the exact opposite of what i thought. I bought this phone because of the slider and the style, classic feel it carries... It even has a spill resistant keypad. And yes it is a bit slow. But not unusable! Slowness only affected me when searching through contacts, but we humans should learn to use counter measures xD. When searching, open contact search, give it a couple of seconds to fully load the app, then you're all good to go... No more hiccups within the app

  • My experience with this phone is different, i didn't expect to be light fast, but it is not slow as you describe, and yeah, the pictures shows the cover, what do you expect? you have to slide it down to reach the buttons underneath! KaiOS is gaining market and fast, so let's see how it will do next year.

  • The most useless phone I've used in my entire life. Too sluggish and too slow. You need to flip the front cover before any thing at all can be done on this phone. KaOS too too poor. I'm sure they will discontinue this OS in 2019

  • This mobile access whatsapp

  • how many long this phone call list,, that means missed call, receive call, dial call,,,, how many total,,,? Plz any user ans me,,,!!

  • "volte aviable"

  • KaiOS is students graduation project

  • It's a really cool phone to buy, and it really stands out. Battery life is also very good. The problems i have are: menu is pretty laggy and loads slow, and im not talking about apps but just the simple menu options and the music i listen from my SD, and for some reason it has a problem with connecting to other devices even directly to the PC. Also it scratches very easily .

  • What!! No Java ??

  • No call blocking option?

  • QR code scanner = bad camera -> poor results Todo list = network access , display kaios playstore ads

  • Thanks

  • Thanks for responding

  • QR Reader is now available to install from the Store. To do is now available as well. Also Counter.

  • How to exit Twitter without long press on the back key?

  • Not really. Twitter is now preinstalled and can not be uninstalled. You Tube has a new icon. No fixes to being able to add words to the dictionary or call blocking. Not available everywhere. WhatsApp still not available either.

  • This mobile is very bad this according price. And whatsapp is not supported.

  • Hot spot feature is there

  • Any new changes with the new update?

  • How many contacts has in phone book?

  • Firmware version 13 was released.

  • hi, pictures 8 number 3 phone. 1-8110 new 2-? 3-8800 sirocco 2 number model no please?

  • its a smart FEATUREPHONE

  • NO

  • Can WhatsApp work on this phone?

  • Why it only has 2.2GB internal storage available?

  • And a faster processor!

  • Im a fan of old phones style, and what i would actually really want to see and buy is a phone just like this one, but having a metalic built and amoled display. Wouldn't that be awesome?

  • How to save apple Contects in dis Fone ?

  • Can I really not block a number on the 8110?

  • The OS(kai OS) is like college students project.

  • yes it does that is why I bought the phone

  • Yes

  • Does this phone have wi-fi hotspot function?

  • Can anyone tell me how many contacts we can save in the phone book?

  • -Text input sometimes enters numbers instead of letters -Text input sometimes deletes all of the text in the field (usually the phone lags/has some kind of hiccup at that time) -Sluggish UI, everything takes a long time to do -Contacts list populates slowly -Settings app opens slowly -Music player sometimes stops playing the first song of the album and is slow -Sometimes the volume control in music player only goes louder or doesn't go away at all, always staying on top of everything -Phone doesn't recognize a 3.5mm aux cable. Headphones work fine, but try to connect to a stereo system and the phone doesn't react at all -Attempting to sync the calendar to google results in an "less secure app" warning from google -Can't change the first day of the week in calendar -Roaming refused to work while I was visiting the Netherlands (I live in Finland) -GPS sometimes doesn't work -Camera saves video files in 3gp format, which is not supported pretty much anywhere these days -Browser sometimes keep scrolling down and doesn't stop -Power button gets pressed while the phone is pocketed. Couldn't the power off confirming be moved to a button under the slide mechanism? -The phones own feedback form crashes every time I try to give feedback and removes all the text if the screen times out -Also random reboot just occurred, while the phone was sitting on my desk Wanted a keypad phone with some "smart" features. Got a laggy mess with only one great feature: wifi hotspot. Thanks Nokia/HMD!

  • the waste mobile.. and it a type of cheating users.. in India, memory filled with Jio apps, theres in jus 924 mb only free for user.. ( better option buy a jio phone worth 1500) if we disable the location, it will automatically enabled always when we are using any things.. the functions are not user friendly and deadly slow.. actually it is not a mobile, we can use as a hot spot device..

  • Kindly tell me what is capacity sms in this mob?

  • Very interesting and helpful comment.TQVM

  • TQ for tip. I didn't think about the call log

  • The point here is to search through contact book while user is typing numbers at home screen. I have 260 contacts and the phone does not have 260 buttons for speed dial :-)

  • You can also make a call from a call log and using speed dial.

  • Text prediction does not have Serbian language as input language. There is option for Serbian but it is using Croatian dictionary!

  • I confirm. Anti theft function is problem related to draining battery faster than supposed. I have shut it down and extend battery life for one day. However, even when anti theft function is switched off battery goes down for 2% in 6 hours of airplane mode. So simple calculation is 8% per day. So standby time from phone specification is simply not true.

  • All comments related to the battery are true, but i finally figured out what is issue. And of course again, issue is OS and its Anti-theft service. I am putting my device in airplane mode before sleep and in the Tuesday morning for the first time i have checked batter percentage after 8 hours of sleep. Battery drained for 10 percent in airplane mode! That way i figured out what is the problem since as many others in this forum i'm keeing turned of wifi, mobile data and gps. For the first time since i have the phone the battery last for 4 days! Regarding other things i have to say, the device itself is excellent value for money. Excellent sound, image, i even watch youtube videos and image is very good despite the small resolution of the screen. I have yellow one and it is beautiful. However OS (kaios) seems as solid student project and nothing more. It needs a lot of improvements. If they at least fix issues other people are stating here, Nokia 8110 4g would be the best feature device of all time. It's an unfortunate situation that such excellent device has such negative comments BUT only because of operating system! I hope that someone form Kai tech is looking those comments!

  • Sorry, I must have misread. I thought you meant you couldn't type a phone number on the home screen. My bad

  • - You are not right. Yes, you can type numbers from home screen, but search is performed by numbers only, meaning that you must know all of your numbers (or part of those, but the problem is the same) - In addition to first post i have to state few more issues with kaios: There is no support for at least basic smilies which is really annoying Text prediction really far away from god and is also annoying. Using of capital letters is night mare while prediction is on, sorting of suggestion is bad, there is no way to add new words. - I can confirm battery life is bad and can last for maximum two days of average use. I have dual sim model (only one sim inserted) with latest kaios (12.00.17.06), i have turned off gps, wifi, mobile data and when i go to bed i put the phone in Airplane mode. Also, i am using phone only for calls and sms on 3g network.

  • So you need to know number and for an example 250 other. Nice remark :-)

  • Text prediction on mine is quite good. It knows the basics and gives you options. And what's this rubbish about only being able to make a call through the contacts app?? From the homescreen you just type the number you want...

  • This is the worst Nokia phone i ever had and definitively last. I am using feature phone as mu primary for last 2 years (Nokia 515, Nokia 3310 3g), but his one is disaster. After 5 days of everyday use i need to share with community the following: 1. The battery life is shameful. Turned of Internet, WIFI and set up only 2g! I was using it only for calls and sms. Battery lasts for 2 days at most! 2. Software (KAIOS) is joke. a) Text prediction (which is essential for phones with numeric keyboard) is very, very bad. Prediction for elementary words does not exists, there is no way to add new words, etc. b) Bluetooth setting are lost after turn of/on Bluetooth c) You are able to make a phone call only from Contacts Book!!! Thus, many many clicks and searches to make one simple phone call !!!! d) No Alarm if the phone is turned off (this software/hardware related bit i don't care) e) It is too slow f) etc, etc, etc 3. Keyboard is hard for usage because of tiny, flat keys. You will need to use both hands for fast typing, but guess what !? You will not be able to type fast anyway because of slow OS and the worst T9 i ever seen. There is a lot more, but i think this is enough

  • this is the worst phone and is NOT worth to buy. Bad software and button, navigation is like a 2009 phone. You could have get better phone with that price huh

  • How do I get the call log to work on the Nokia 8110 4G?

  • This Nokia hangs someone help me

  • it work good

  • I'm looking for a Basic mobile for just Call, Text & Map direction purpose. Is this feasible to use Google Map better ? Pls users reply me ASAP.

  • This phone needs Opera Mini. I couldn't download the app on my 8110 4G. It would be speedier. Maybe an eventual update to the KaiOS store will bring it

  • What is the SAR range in W/Kg for Nokia 8110 Banana phone

  • pls hw do i sign up for kaios account and also i need update bcuz i cant download music and video, no file manager, no call recording on nokia 8110. sometimes it hang. i can't sign up for kaios. pls i need update.

  • pls how can i get them.

  • telegram,q r reader,text reader,file manager and mote app available on nokia 8110

  • I've got one! It's working great as a phone, but i want that hotspot function so i can use a tablet for the things the phone can't do and i cant get it working properly. I'm getting "no DNS" error messages and no internet on connected devices. Internet on the phone itself seems to be working fine. I'll give it a few days but if i can't get the hot spot to work it will have to be returned and that would be a shame.

  • I'm experiencing similar issues with my new Nokia 8110 4G, specifically with the T9 keyborad being so slow it gives only numbers instead of letters at the beginning of typing. anyhow, I've sent the following message both to KaiOS and Nokia customers support, and I advice all of you to do the same. Maybe if they see enough people care about this phone they mighy consider an update. --- My message: --- To whom it may concern, I've recently bought the new Nokia 8110 4G with KaiOS and having hard time using it. Unlike old "dumbphone" and normal smartphones, this new Nokia is full of bugs, and generally not smooth at all. The main bug I'm experiencing is the long time it takes for a screen (like contacts or new message) to open up and be ready for typing. when I open the contacts screen, for instance, and start typing in the search field, usually only numbers are typed-in and not letters. Only if I wait for a while I can type letters. There are many bugs and missed important features which are pretty common in the old nokia, these are just a few: - no option to set shortcuts on arrow buttons like on other feature Nokia phones - cannot change or add shortcuts in shortcuts menu (hotspot, usb-thetering, etc.) - bluetooth reconnection with paired device does not work, you must turn on/off bluetooth on phone again. - when using hotspot phone gets very hot - google calendar doesn't recognize user's password and therefore not signing in - no easy way to turn volume up and down, only by turning on and off the vibration mode. more can be found in the comments here: I'd like to advise that the following make my user experience with the phone not only discomfort, but almost impossible to keep using. I expect an OS or firmware update to be released ASAP, if you want this phone to be anyhow attractive. Thanks a lot, ... ---

  • good but not make this to perfect because old nokia use like me having not properly all old options and work done it so bad phone i don't like because no call log and messenges and contact backup like old nokia phones with pc suite or in phone option and other many option have not and new option not for done to my life style so i don't like it but i like nokia old phones.

  • The Nokia 8110 4G hangs often (software), so you have to switch off and on again. Bluetooth does not work in your car unless you start it manually over and over again and even then it is not always working. I live at the border, and the network don't switch automatically to the strongest provider, so I have to do that every time manually. The Nokia 8110 4G is a disappointment for me, I have also many problems with the Nokia 3 (maybe it can be repaired, screen for entering a code during a phone call does not show always, weeks ok and then weeks not ok), also problems with Nokia 3310 3G, no, Nokia has lost his name for me ..

  • At least one new feature phone is going to be announced in a few days by Nokia/Hmd. That's good news.

  • Nokia 8110 4g is slow and hang problem

  • No the phone can't record calls. It can't even add words to the dictionary. It can't even block numbers. Really KaiOS isn't finished yet

  • No the phone can't block numbers.

  • Phone=sexy

  • Is there any call recording option ???

  • Contact block option not available.

  • 1. Is there's a record for the duration of all calls? 2. If there's a record, what kind of information showed in screen? the duration of receive calls and Dial-out calls respectively? or the total duration of receive calls and dial-out calls? 3. Is passward input required before call duration reset?

  • That would be great. They might do this when Whatsapp is ready for the Nokia phones

  • Thanks

  • 12.00.17.06 or 12.00.17.10

  • mozilla firefox 48

  • What?

  • What web browser does this phone have? Opera Mini?

  • have updated to 12.00.17.10,,, but nothing change ,,, GPS cannot find your own location

  • got file manager on nokia 8110

  • Can it support Jio Sim ?

  • Unfortunataly there is no driver for windows OS or software like PC Suite, with that I can edit the adresses, phonenumbers or calendar functions like in former models. It was a disappointing desicion to buy it.

  • Me too

  • If KaiOS does not support J2ME, I'm not interested.

  • By the way, I hope Nokia release a qwerty feature phone KaiOS with minimum 1gb ram at 2019! :)

  • Nokia still the best brand in build quality, JerryRigEverything prooves it on YouTube. Software aside, most of the models are Android One, with Nokia garantee of 2 years of updates, including the monthly security patches of Google. The price of all Nokia range is fair. In the low and middle range, I think Nokia is only beatable by Xiaomi. Xiaomi is the best brand quality-price factor. For example, Xiaomi Redmi 5A/6A are 120euros. Nokia 3.1, with same specs it's 180euros, but have a better photo/video quality (even same mpx) and the smartphone have better build quality outside. I think HMD is making a great job. I am so excited about the future flagship Nokia with 5 camera lenses! Trust me, Nokia is in good hands!

  • Dunno about the quality part, but they do have a good variety of phones

  • Are you kidding, right? HMD has made a GREAT GREAT job with Nokia! Look up the feature phones (105, 130, 3310, 8110, etc) and the smartphones (1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7Plus, 8Scirocco, X5, etc). So much quality! So much variety!

  • grow up nokia, wont be too many takers for such a low end phone with such a small screen wish you would release some decent phones

  • It's true actually, my mom's 7 year old symbian phone is faster :D

  • tell me anyone about the latest version of this phone .

  • Correct!! Forget rest all..the basic thing .. contacts.. its horribly slow.

  • Can you tell me what is the version of your latest firmware, please? Thank you in advance! ;)

  • Yes, it is. It's one of the best things on this phone, the sound. ;)

  • Today I returned my nokia 8110 4G after a week of use. I haven't used Google Maps, his Assistant or his email. Not the games. However, I was surprised the ease with which I have been able to synchronize all contacts from Gmail, about 1400; and while the keyboard is small, except for some point slip with the central command, its usability is in general correct. And the good coverage. However, I was surprised negatively the operating system, which I can only describe as immature: deficiencies in writing (for example, does not put the first letter in uppercase and the navigation between the symbols is tedious), numerous delays between the different screens of the menu and navigation between contacts (I got to reduce them to 300, without success, if it improved); blockades continuing to connect the hands-free bluetooth which recovered only by reset. And his battery consumption is considerable: about 3 hours in conversation as a maximum, without wifi, gps, data and bluetooth by default, which has forced me to charge it every two days, as my old smartphone with a lot more "workload". My conclusion is that this phone has a long development to reach the level of reliability and experience of use of any nokia from 10 years ago: cut it too soon of the cluster of the banana tree.

  • Those phones for 20$ are fake. Those are not KaiOS phones, it is Chinese fake copy models...

  • U-connect system in Fiat has the same issues.

  • it costs 20$ in Serbia and im thinking to buy a couple of them

  • In the review, the loudspeaker managed very high decibel ratings. Is the speaker on the back really so loud? Is the sound quality good enough to listen to music?

  • Thank you bro, i think the 1500 mah battery is enough for whole day hotspot to do light browsing and video streaming.

  • It's the 3G operator in UK (i think)

  • Nope it doesn't disconnect. Infact it's really great for hostpot since it's made out of plastic and plastic is better for signal strength (i think). Sometimes i use the hotspot to play online fps. Ping is really good for a portable router.

  • Is it good for hotspot? Doesnt disconnect?

  • You mean 3G sim card not recognised on this phone?

  • I cant represent the issue with callerid. My battery lasts much more too.

  • I am still using my Nokia 1100 (still have the box) Battery doesn't last a week anymore and the numbers have rubbed off but it has been dropped a million times - many of those with me landing on it. Smart phones and I don't get on. The trouble is I'm a (fell) runner and want to put Strava on it. I'm very familiar with html5/css3 and linux (as well as java) but can't see the app store or any instructions on how to put something there. You said you've rooted this phone? First, please Nokia offer a little more support for KaiOS (I see Google are) and second, perhaps you could point me at how to add apps via the sim card?

  • Nice little phone but a few problems, eg Three SIM not recognised. It would be great if the shortcuts could be customised (eg hotspot on off shortcut) If you enter the phone number into the contacts app with the country code, the name is not recognised on incoming calls - just the number is shown. You can't delete the pre-loaded games. Still no WhatsApp with latest firmware update. Battery doesn't last a day. BUT it's easy to use and unusual to look at.

  • Very poor OS. I sold this phone after 2 weeks of use.

  • Very poor OS. I sold this phone after 2 weeks of use.

  • Does this phone have dual 4G standby?.

  • Hello to all, i got this phone a week ago, its fine but can be better in the store i have 9 games and 2 apps no whatsapp or fb i was able to root this phone and now i can install apps from sdcard my os version is 2.5 bn is 11.00.17 im from jordan anyways im still trying to find more apps for it if u update the phone u will get some google apps some ppl said that nokia restricts users i want from the owners to tell their os version and the build number along with the country as well when i get more apps i will make them avilable

  • ok when is this going to be available in the US. I MUST HAVE IT.

  • I wish we were able to buy old symbian nokia phones brand new...

  • Appstore is available, but whatsapp isn't available right now. (will be available in the near future)

  • Yeah i like mine too but prefered something like playstore or any market on it so i could install at least whatsapp

  • Agree dude,Blackberry is very good but i think Nokia E-series was the best...

  • After a month I can say I am pretty happy with it. I regularly check my facebook feed.and some news sites. I got used to the specifics of the os and its not bad. Yes, can be better.

  • Blackberry key2 is great

  • Two most irritating bugs: * Alarm is sometimes off by an hour (one hour late) * Call log regularly gets frozen; only restart helps.

  • purchased this phone for about 3 days and the device just fine, but the OS(KaiOS) need to updates: 1- you can import contact from google account but it will not synchronize. 2- there is little lag (feature phones should have no lags at all). 3- you can't link shortcuts with buttons(like down button with contacts) 4- you can't block numbers. **the OS is sooo Primitive, Basic and i mean it its so primitive for feature phone (and they say KaiOS is between feature phone and smart phone)

  • yep, the 8110 works for me with ATT in the US.

  • I was looking forward to this phone to replace my aging Nokia X2-00 but it's been quite disappointing so far; It lacks any ability to import things from my old phone so I can't transfer over my Contacts, Messages, Notes etc. The buttons are awkward - They lack the crisp click of real Nokias and are kind of spongy. Because the keypad is slightly recessed due to the slider the bottom row of buttons is awkward to press. The performance of the phone is disappointing given how my RAM and CPU power it has - The functions on my X2 open almost immediately but there is a noticeable delay when opening even the Contacts - This is unacceptable! I think they made a big mistake using KaiOS - It's clearly a cut-down smartphone OS, but that is completely inappropriate for a limited function phone like this - So many of the reviews show off its ability to play YouTube videos but nobody in their right mind would watch a YouTube video on this! People who buy phones like this want a good *phone*, something which modern smartphones are quite poor at (They're great portable limited-function computers but suck at being phones, their terrible battery life and holding-a-brick-to-your-head form factor being two of the biggest downsides) Spec-wise I thought it would be a good replacement but in actual use it's so much worse than my X2 - Very disappointing.

  • It is not updating from 10

  • Nokia should follow the steps of Jio phone 2 and release at last a Qwerty device to cover our needs. Heavy texters are waiting all over the world... E series...-it would be real great!

  • can anyone provide help in regards to being able to acess the app store or update last version 10. am in australia

  • The second day to use this new phone. The unusual good-looking bright yellow colour actually balanced out the dullness of a small non-touch screened feature phone. The sliding cover added a sense of delicacy to the phone even though the phone is made by polycarbonate. Glad to have google supporting the phone, we get google assistance, google search, google map and google contact sync. These guarantee one can survive in the city in this modern day. The number pad also became more solid, more independent, and more certain when using it longer and more. But I hope the phone can provide side volume adjustment keys, perhaps a better quality screen, and more personalization options for the homescreen shortcut keys, and homescreen display. Also, the screen and its peripheral is covered by a plastic-looking glass, I wonder if it can look more solid and strong. Nowadays, its hard to get and use a good feature phone with good support of internet and google service, as a good touch-screen android phone can be cost for only $110. And people usually feel strange and uncomfortable when they see people still carry a feature phone around. This phone has provided an opportunity for us, the minority, to live a different lifestyle defying a strong societal norm.

  • hi every one i just want to purchased this phone for use in u.s. , but a small problem.. i dont sure if it will work in u.s. the frequencys dosen't the same like europe, i contact h2o and ask them if the phone will work, i supply the info about the frequencys he support, they tell me that they can't pormised it will work, maiybe someone use it in us or understand better the meaning of frequencys. the frequencys of h2o for 3g is b2. (1900) b5. (850) and 4g is b2. (1900 pcs) b4. (1700/2100 aws) b17. (700bc) b30. (2300 wcs) if i understand right it has to work with 3g 850 (it also depended on frequency power in new york) but 4g has not to work. (i have to use the europe model because he support my language). if you are use it in us please tell me which company. thank you

  • Whatsapp will definitely be available later this year..

  • they just published new games in the appstore

  • Thank you for your in-depth reply. I agree with your sentiments. I use a Nokia 3310 3G as my second phone and enjoy it. I enjoy the relative durability of feature phones and long battery life. I think the 8110 will be a considerable upgrade to my 3310 so will be happy with that :-) If WhatsApp comes to this phone sometime in the future then it will be great.

  • Well honestly, i really like the device. Everything depends on what you want your phone to be. If you're looking for a classic nostalgia just to make phone calls, send occasional text, fm radio and 'portable hotspot', you'll love this phone. It's quite unique - the form factor, the slider, 4G volte call clarity, can come in handy when you need a fm radio... Having used this phone for almost 3 months, I like it to be honest. Yes there were annoyances, like slow - non feature rich OS. But after 2-3 days I got used to this. I found ways to get things done. For example contacts search needs some getting used to, switching between silent, vibrate, sound modes (it wasn't difficult for me, but I've seen someone complaining that there's no silent mode available).. In the review, they've complained this device has a slow charging speed, but honestly I've never noticed. I usually plug in the charger before bed time and unplug it in the morning and the batery gets me through the day easily. I can use it for 2 or more days on a single charge if i don't use hotspot option. Functionality: Yes, many touch screen android devices are available for a little bit higher price. But they are all the same right? Running android, with a touch screen... Yes, android is a matured OS, a cheap android can function 99% similar to a more expensive flagship (much slower of course) But as a backup phone, (I use it as my secondary phone) cheap Androids doesn't sound appealing for me. They are big, they look mostly the same like your primary device, not that much pocket friendly... So basically, someone's opinion on a phone depends on what they want the phone to be. For me, it fits all my needs. A unique looking small pocket friendly device. It's great as a secondary cell phone. If you wanna use it a the daily driver... That's when the problems start to show up. Email syncing, web browsing, 2mp camera, single tasking OS, lack of "dash" charging. I honestly don't think, anyone on a right mind would want to use a feature phone with a tft display to browse Facebook, insta or whatever social media and to take portraits or to check emails! Everythings optimized for touch sensitive functions! So ask yourself, what you really want to do on your phone. If you wanna use it smartphone-ishly, recommend you invest your money elsewhere and if you are looking for unique looking nostalgia, it might be worth a shot!

  • Erm... okay what the hell?

  • Presumably HMD Global not prioritising the UK for this phone. From the review on GSMArena and user opinions it might not be worth the wait. How good do you find yours? Hopefully it will get more reliable as KaiOS bring out updates.

  • Observations 1. Does not show missed calls or sms on screen after it is past 2. Recent calls does not show up immediately and sometimes the last number that called is called does not show in All, Missed, Dialed or Received 3. Typing name of contacts using button, button does not always follow sequence of letters on the keys but at times, jump 4. When recent calls are checked, at times it hangs until it has to be returned back 5. No specific button that function as return (Back) key as the back functions for deleting numbers too, 6. When slide cover is used alternatively, it stays in the same position with the screen still where it is 7. At times button for return have to be pressed repeatedly for it to function

  • August 15th? (Just saying because read my username,.. the Battle of Lumphanan happened August 15th in 1057).

  • Not released in UK yet? I've been using this for almost 3 months now! That's really strange specially because HMD global is a European company...

  • Due to be released August 15. Not long now :-)

  • IDK but mine has a vibrate and a silent mode seperately. Reduce voluwe to zero, then vibrate mode will be activated and press the volume down key once more and vibrate will be switched off! Same goes with "Ab" thing. Mine starts with a capital letter whenever i type (even in contact search) and whenever i end a sentence with a full stop and press space and start the new sentence, phone automatically switches from "ab" mode to "Ab" mode...

  • They are deficiencies, because: 1. By silent mode i mean no sound and no vibration - this is not supported (when I use the volume slider, I can eliminate the sound, but the vibration stays on). Other phones have a button or shortcut to turn on silent mode. 2. Uppercase start in the SMS is a default setting in all smart and feature phones. 3. What you said stands. However, with all phones when they are plugged into a charger, you get a sound or screen notification. This phone does neither.

  • Has this phone been release in the UK yet?

  • I hope whatsapp and facebook support is optional because some people don't need social media on their feature phone. Personally I use it only for making calls, hotspot, fm radio and occasional text. I don't think even if this supported facebook out of the box, that screen and no touch navigation will make it hard to use. Well whatsapp can come in handy! It's all personal preference i think

  • Most of the details are pretty much true, except: Post 1- Silent mide is available. Use the Volume slider from the quick settings. Post 2- First letter is uppercase (by default i think) You can change it by pressing # key when typing the msg Post 3- When the adapter is plugged in and charging the batery icon has a lightning like sign on it. If the screen is off, plugging the adapter will turn the display on.

  • Until now noticed bugs and deficiencies (firmware 12.00.17.06) - plastic cover is very sensitive - minor scratches immediately - dialler remembers only the last 20 calls - calendar starts from Sunday - cannot remove popup windows in browser (cookie notification) - no option to set shortcuts on arrow buttons like on other feature Nokia phones - cannot change or add shortcuts in shortcuts menu - bluetooth reconnection with paired device does not work, you must turn on/off bluetooth on phone again - no charger notification when power adapter is plugged in - battery does not show percentage of capacity on main screen, you must go to settings to check the percentage (post_2) - no info on main screen about missed calls and SMS - when the slider is closed after a call, the screen stays turned on - when using hotspot phone gets very hot - when composing an SMS the first letter is not automatically uppercase - when an SMS is sent sometimes there is a sound notification, sometimes there is not - mail synchronising is extremely slow and is not working properly (post_1) - slow and incomplete OS - no silent mode - vibration cannot be disabled for when the call has been answered - disturbing that it shows on the display that no second SIM card had been inserted - poor app store

  • Anyone able to send MMS with the phone? I tried to, with both data and wifi on, but still it failed to send. Contacted my service provider for activation, and it was activated, but still it doesnt work. Anyone have the Same issue?

  • Works very poorly. I expected the phone to work at least like other feature phones. newly discovered bugs until now: - very slow contacts app - no info on main screen about missed calls and SMS - when the slider is closed after a call, the screen stays turned on - when using hotspot phone gets very hot - when composing an SMS the first letter is not automatically uppercase - when an SMS is sent sometimes there is a sound notification, sometimes there is not - mail synchronising is extremely slow and is not working properly I am awaiting a bigger OS update. The phone does not support Facebook and WhatsApp, while Jio phone/Jio phone 2 already has these functions.

  • 8110 4G paired to Volkswagen car Infotainment Discover Media but unable to transfert phone contacts. My 2 other old Nokia phones did that very well. So, contact your car brand and check compatibility before buying 8110 4G

  • Works very poorly. • Works fine. If you expected a smartphone, the problem is you. Sent from 8110 4g

  • I agree with this. Phone is a bit buggy, and while you're typing a text sometimes the whole message disappears. Searching for contacts is slow, and lags most of the time. Is there any way to find out data consumed when cellular data is on, or when hotspot is active?

  • so difficult to type messages slow performance buggy os and phone hangs when you open and app and close to open another app hard to search for contacts very poor user experience when using as the smartphone features like browsing and playing youtube. --- this is just a waste of money.... better stick to pure feature phone than this device.

  • I agree. But the app store is the least of my worries. KaiOS team should focus on user experience efore adding any apps. Small things like that "no sim in sim 2 slot" is where it should really improve. It's half baked for now. Hope it'll get better with updates...

  • Oh i have a very simple solution for you. And it saves time i think. ----Use airplane mode when you're sleeping---- (in case you didn't know - airplane mode makes you switch off the simcard, so you won't be disturbed by calls or msgs, it can help if you need to make a emergency call since you won't have to wait until phone boots up to make the call)

  • Check if your wifi signal type is b/g/n/ac. Wifi ac type isn't supported on nokia 8110 4g (according to gsmarena) I'm sorry I've never used the phone to send emails....

  • gmail, hotmail correspondence possible can we recieve and send mails easily. can we connect this phone with any wifi router

  • Yes

  • Right now you cant install. WhatsApp on KaiOS it will be available only in October/November 2018.

  • First impressions after using a few hours: * Quite slow startup compared to older feature phones. * The UI lags sometimes. * Not possible to customize home view shortcuts - complicated to achieve basic tasks. The hardware design is nice anyway, and it's the main reason I purchased this phone. Not interested of purchasing apps or any Internet related features. But the real showstopper is: Alarm clock does not alarm when phone is turned off! Still confused how can that be true, but I tested it several times. This seemingly small flaw makes the 8110 4G unusable to me as my only phone, unfortunately. I need my goodnight sleep without phone turned on. And I also need a reliable wake-up in the morning, wherever I travel. I ordered this phone to replace my worn out Nokia 108. But possibly I just need to purchase a new 108 from somewhere, and wait for new stylish basic/feature phones to emerge on the market.

  • The phone very very slow ,give a command and it will take time before responding, and when i'm using hot spot and a call comes in, the phone will hang and can't accept or reject the call, i have to restart it and there after i can't find the number in call records, something needs to be done.

  • hiiii Nokia 8110 4G LTE Dual Sim Mobile Phone Black TA-1059 we can use Whatsapp

  • I got this phone a few days ago. Up until now, my biggest issue with this phone is: - slow OS - the OS seems incomplete as it is missing basic options that are present in other phones - no silent mode - vibration cannot be disabled for when the call has been answered - disturbing that it shows on the display that no second SIM card had been inserted - poor app store I believe that the pricing for this phone is way to high.

  • Thank you HMD Global for keeping Nokia alive. I really love this phone, best substitute for my Nokia 230(2015) + TP-Link M7350. Phone + mobile hotspot = banana phone. I use samsung tablet for social media so i dont need a smartphone, i just need a banana phone.

  • Just found the solution. Take out your sim and do a phone reset. You will find the option in Settings -> Device -> Device Info -> Phone Reset. Then, after resetting your phone, inserti your sim, go to setiings -> Network & Connectvty -> Volte -> Turn On. After turning the Volte option on, data connctn on, and auto sync8ng the phones date and time, your phone will work just fine.

  • I am facing the exact same problem. not able to make any calls from my jio sim, though the internet is working well. Went to jio, they fiddled with the phone and said that the phone doesnt have volte, elae it would have shown on the screen right beside 4G sign. I swear that I have seen a Volte mention in the device itself 8n aettings somewhere, but now not able to find out anymore. Meanwhile Nokia service people has declined to help as the device uas not been launced officialy in India. Now, I dont know what to do....

  • this phone battery life not up to 24h, & this phone very slow ....un happy

  • Just buy it. I had the original 20 y. before. This model is garbige. 100% garbige.

  • Not yet. But we'll be able to...

  • And about Whatsapp on this phone ? Can we install Whatsapp on this Nokia 8110 ?

  • Or you can buy an android/iphone and opt out of using social media.

  • Mine works like a charm. Try resetting the device!

  • It’s the most useless phone. The idea of a basic phone is to to do only few things but do those things rather quickly. This phone takes a life time to find a contact. To type a sms (text message) is so slow that you rather not sent the message.

  • It just needs Opera Mini.

  • ****my opinion!!!*** The device looks really beautiful. But the slider interrupts typing, and just enlarges the device! Anyone has any idea how to remove the slider without destroying the device????

  • So fuc*** useless phone.. All about it specs are not real. Mine no even store, rebooting itself automatically.. Can't view contacts.. Oh!! Damn it, I regret buying this phone

  • Horrible OS. Don't buy this phone. The things it can do compare to a 5mb ram Symbian s40 phone is even less. I miss the s40 OS. It can cover anything a simple phone needs.

  • and 8110 spec promises nothing.

  • I dont have any social media accounts and I use Nokia 8110 4g as my primary phone... Texts, calls, browser navigation, alarm, calendar and calculator... but cmon... Nokia 8110 4g is slow, very slow. I think KaiOS needs at least 1GB Ram to run smoothly. I had Nokia Nokia 6630 and Nokia N97 in the past and it was faster than 8110 4g. I hope Nokia unveils a new Nokia device with KaiOS /1 GB Ram/ 4g / WiFi / Selfie camera at MWC 2019.

  • Battery life - 4-5 days normal usage (some calls, some messages, not much internet). Keep your WiFI and Bluetooth off when you are not using it. I have no problems with the geolocation.

  • Hi I have purchased Nokia 8110 (2018) but the problem which I m facing I won’t be able to make call. I have put Jio 4g sim in slot sim 1 it’s showing all the network & 4G sign in front of that but the issue which I’m facing is that if I make call from that Jio sim it keep on showing call ended & not even getting messages. I have called Jio customer services to check if there is something wrong with sim but they told you have do some settings in that Nokia 8110. How can I do that still facing problems not able to use 4G as calling and messeging help me out with that

  • Did you bought it to use as your primary device?

  • I had the same problem, when I was for a day trip in a nearby town. Wouldn't get location without wlan.

  • Can people share experiences with battery life?

  • Hey Jen , ordered one from technomobi for 1200 Rand and it includes a Vodacom SIM with 12 X 100meg data

  • TA-1059 Software 12.00.17.06 gps is not working outdoor with geolocation and data on. Anyone has this problem.

  • -Most of the time the cursor remains visible on full screen YouTube videos, so I cannot adjust the volume most of the time. Got it to work once and yeah, there is a volume slider. Sometimes the cursor stays on the screen after exiting the YT app. Oh well, didn't plan to use this phone to watch YT. -My bad on the music player, there is repeat. Got played by the Finnish UI and translations. Found out that it has problems with the headphone jack, though; Sometimes the cable won't get detected. -Well, the text prediction is bad and the memo app has bugs. I planned on using this as my daily driver, so texting is obviously quite important. -The camera isn't good, I know and didn't expect it to perform too well, but seriously, a frame-rate of 7.76fps is not acceptable. Even for low end device, its too bad. Photos taken in good light are good enough, at least for me. All this can and probably will be fixed (well, the camera won't get any better), but I'm not gonna stick around waiting for it to happen. On paper it's great, but it's a pain to use. Compared to Nokia C1-01 from 2010 it's really slow. Everything from using the menus to texting is worse on the banana phone. It's a bad phone, even compared to 8 years old cheap feature phones.

  • Battery seems to last waaaaaaay shorter than it should. Anyone else noticed this? Started the day with a full charged phone, and only used it for texting and 1 call. 18 hours later its down to 40%. Either its just me or this phone really wont last 25 days on standby as stated by HMD.

  • Friends Can we sync our google contacts and emails to the phone?

  • Friends Can we sync our google contacts and emails to the phone?

  • Can you listen to podcast on the nokia 8110 4G?

  • Although phone is likable and mostly practical, at least Calendar and predictive entry should be fixed before you consider this phone seriously. Calendar messes up the first day of the week. For countries where a week starts on Monday, Calendar app incorrectly starts with Sunday. Croatian locale is even worse: Calendar starts with Monday (P: ponedjeljak), but it does not shift the display. On the Calendar opening page, 21st of July 2018. is correctly shown as Saturday, but in month view it is shown in Sunday (N: nedjelja) column. On such a small screen, it would be also nice to have an agenda view. Another issue is that calendar has alarm before an event, but not also at the start of the event. For synchronization with Google calendar, one must disable 2-step authentication and compromise security even further by enabling "Less secure app access". Predictive entry (T9) is another spotty feature. It is not possible to use upper case. Words cannot be added, and there are always some words to add. Good thing is that you can use multiple languages and switch between them by holding the "#" key, but the currently selected language is not shown. If are you writing an SMS, entering "To:" field disables predictive entry. You cannot use it there and you have to re-enable it after entering the message field.

  • Okay let's say, you just bought the phone and have so many complains. But, -Volume can be adjusted in youtube videos. Once in full screen mode, press top right button (which is for options in this case) and there you go, media volume slider will pop up. Use top and bottom navigation keys to adjust the volume. -Music can be repeated, shuffled. Once you get to now playing page, press top right key to pull option menu and there you go, shuffling and repeat modes. -I can't address your text prediction issues and memo issue because i rarely text from the device and memos, i didn't even know it was here lol -And finally...the camera :D you really use this camera to shoot videos? Good Luck haha lol

  • Hello, I bought the wonderfully looking Nokia-banana last week. I keep wondering why a symbol for un-read incoming text message doesn't show persistently on the screen until I choose to open the un-read text message. This is clearly a mistake. All other phones on the market today show a small letter or envelope-like symbol on the screen until the un-read text message is being opened and read. The same problem seems to appear regarding un-noticed incoming calls. The Nokia 8110 4G-banana shows no persisting symbol to make you aware of an un-noticed earlier call. This is a problem I've never encountered before in the history of cell phones - and I have had quite a few of them since the early 1990s.

  • There is volume adjustment in Youtube app. Mine does not crash in Memo app. I am unsure about the text inputs - I use it in English only and it works well.

  • Why does it take so long to delete messages? Been an hour already and it still says "deleting".

  • Thanks for replying.

  • Got the phone yesterday. The phone itself is quite solid, but the software is not. -No volume adjustment in youtube app. Makes it quite annoying to use, you have to menu dive the system menu for volume. -Music player has no repeat! At all. -Input language lost scandic letters (ä,ö,å), had to switch language to English and back to Finnish to get them working again. -Memo app gets stuck sometimes, had to remove battery. -Text prediction is worse than on my Nokia C1 from like ages ago. -Camera produces videos in .3gpp format. What is this, 2005? Videos don't play back well on VLC or Windows 10 default media player on my PC. I truly hope the software gets a major update sometime soon. It's not unusable, but far for perfect and doesn't feel like a quality product at all. It doesn't feel like a quality feature phone you would expect for the price of 80€, but a cheap-ish knock-off that craps out every now and then. I'm not sure if I will wait for the updates or return the phone. I would have loved to love this, but at it's current state it just doesn't feel good.

  • Can you transfer your contacts from gmail and save your contacts to gmail also ?

  • Yes.

  • Can it be used as wifi hotspot??

  • I just got mine today, it's great so far. I'll see how I like it over the next few weeks.

  • One more thing to add - it's perfect fit in the front pocket of the jeans. Reasons: 1. The curve 2. The slider which covers the buttons so you don't press anything when sitting down on a chair 3. The size (it's compact enough)

  • Thanks for your review.

  • Not Yet

  • Unplugging the battery didn't make the device loose the wifi password. (I just checked)

  • Does the Nokia 8110 4g work with external bluetooth keyboard? Could it check somebody please?

  • Does the music library display songs? I got a device, put my 32gb micro SDHC memory card. Videos and images in it get recognised. But the music files are not even showing up in the music library.

  • nice featurephone. Have the version with Dual SIM. Quality of phonecalls is excellent. Using as hotspot is fine; KaiOS: well it works. Some problems when connecting my UE Megaboom Box via Bluetooth. Works - works not. When you unplug the battery, stored passwords of WiFi connections get lost after restart and there is no warning. It simply does not connect. Musicplayer is ok if you have ID tags for your mp3 files. Search in Music App does not work for filenames.

  • direct above the first sim slot, is a very small slot for micro SD contacts of the card when inserting should be downside. i use 32GB no problem. Up to 64 GB should be possible but only FAT32 formatted. BUT Windows supports FAT32 only up to 32 GB partitions. so a FAt32 formatted 64 GB Micros SD could cause problems under Windows especially in Version 10 best regards anjin Nokia 8110 4g review under ( only in german):

  • 64GB should work, but the card has to be formatted with FAT32, which is not possible in Windows 10 Operating System, because Windows supports FAT32 only up to 32 GB partitions I made an review of the first week with Nokia 8110 4g under sry only in german

  • I think i made a mistake here. I used a SDXC (64gb) card. Maybe it's the XC type not supported. I'm not sure exactly...

  • It doesn't support 64gb. Maximum is 32gb

  • Nice review... :)

  • Hi G30, The AppStore on the Nokia 8110 4G will only be visible and usable once the device starts up with a SIM Card insert :-P

  • It's a nice phone. The build quality is fine - the slider is solid and the plastics are not cheap. The screen is not the best you can get on the market, but it's good enough. The camera is crappy - don't expect anything good out of it. It will work well only in sunny days outside. There's no front camera, so don't expect to use it for video calls. They keyboard is fine quality and the software typing options are well done. The keys are a bit smaller than my taste but compared to the size of the phone, they are fine done. The speaker is mono but it's loud enough. The voice call quality is perfect for both the speaker and the microphone. On the software side, it's fast - not the fastest feature phone OS, but good enough. The core of the software is the web browser (almost working fine - of course not all websites can be rendered well on such small screen). Most of it's apps like Youtube, Facebook and Google Maps (the phone has GPS - yey!) are actually lunching through the browser and that's a very nice idea (they won't get obsolete after update on the vendor API for example), so good job here KaiOS! Regarding the apps - don't expect to use Facebook every day through that phone for example. The screen is small and writing is not fast with the keyboard. It's good enough for viewing something in an emergency need or when you are far in the woods. The everyday use of that device is for what you use the feature phones. WiFi antenna is not the best one but it's again good enough to get decent connection in home or in public places. 4G works great. Everything is fast and stable. Thinks that I dislike so far are: - When you keep the contacts on SIM card only, it loads the contact list a little bit slow. When you open contacts, you must wait 1-2 seconds before you can start searching. It's fixed if you transfer them to phone memory. - Google Maps does not seem to have an option to download an offline map. That's not good because I will have to depend on the 3G/4G coverage. I guess it's related to the fact that the app is actually a browser window only... so it's a tradeoff I guess. - Reassigning the directional keys and the left and right keys on the home screen is not possible (or I didn't find the way to do it). The left key is always Notifications (which are... OK usefull) and the right key is always Schortcuts (which is very useful - you can turn on/off bluetooth, wifi, flashlight, mobile data, etc). What I would really like to have is a way to replace the center key with the more frequently used Contacts instead of the Google Assistant (which is only useful for fast internet searching as it's times better than typing on the keyboard). That's it. I give it 9/10. Some software tweaks from KaiOS and it will be the best feature phone so far.

  • I just wish to turn off the message sending sound.

  • Hello Bhai ,,,,U need to insert sim card ,,,,untill unless store will not be visible.....Am I correct u didnt insert ur sim card right?

  • Myabe you bought chinise fake one. *#0000# key code shows something like 10.xx.xx or 11.xx or 12.xx

  • Mine is restarted, restarted unexpectedly. Visited the store to request for a change

  • Can't find Nokia 8110 anywhere in Cape Town. South Africa. When is it coming?

  • The 8110 4G support max. 64 Gb of SD Card Memory. That is enough, I think.

  • Hi, changes are: Call logs and Contacts moving faster, YouTube app has a volume button and the Internet Browser is a bit faster. Also, a few visual things were brought closer to enhance the user experience. There should be many more to come because KaiOs promises lots and lots and right now it's just a slow old laggy OS. Cheers

  • I am from pakistan.i have purchase nokia 8110 4g few days ago. In this nokia 8110 have no store. Please confirm me when he will be update in pakistan

  • Yeah maybe. But for now, google maps, assistant looks half baked. Try sayibg good morning to assistant. She does reply. But at the same time she gives a web search for "good morning" :D

  • For phone for funny play only.Don't so serious all guys.Ha ha!

  • Micro SD card @ SDHC can using to this phone. But SDXC must reformat to FAT32.

  • This phone has GPS to locate your position. Will it be possible to use it for car/foot navigation in google maps in the future?

  • Or just the people who wants a phone that lasts more than 2 days.

  • Yep, here

  • Anyone with the yellow color model??

  • No messenger, Facebook (dedicated app), or whatsapp yet. Only twitter is available in the app store...

  • And please be advised - your microSD card shouldn't be higher than 32gb

  • I do. :)

  • Youtube player not hide the button names at the bottom while play fullscreen. So far i notice this.

  • MicroSD card slot is located right on top of the micro sim slot. If you have the user guide, see the section 3 - there's a picture indicating the correct way of inserting the card. :)

  • Predictive text input works in other languages USB Tethering available USB Mass Storage works Four choices of search engines ..and probably bug fixes and optimizations. That's what I found so far. And good news:WhatsApp soon and Telegram already working in browser.

  • 1 microsim (sim1) + 1 nanosim (sim2)

  • Yesterday i received firmware update 12.00.17.06 on my Nokia 8110 4G. I dont see any changes. I live in the Netherlands.

  • I both the same month back lot of issues with operating system, super slow, can't function at all. This phone is dumbest then any other Nokia phones release till in classic symbians. Keeping fingers crossed on functioning of os 12.00.17.06, hope it won't disappoint me.

  • The people that prefer alphanumeric keypad over touchscreen. The people that dont need much apps. And the people only uses mobile for calls, sms and maybe hotspot wi-fi.

  • can u tell me how the microSD should be inserted? i tried several times, its cannot read by PC.

  • Who will pay 90 Euro in this phone when you can buy Xiaomi Redmi 6 wil 120 Euro

  • I don't know. But base functions (like sync the time with the mobile network, etc.) doesn't work in this version, too... :(

  • 12.00.17.06 What changed in this version? Can't find the release note. Pls don't add more apps again. Fix your damn slow KAIOS.

  • you can watch via browser or via app. you can download via browser.

  • I brought my 8110 4G yesterday. It looks cool, but almost unusable, because a lot of freezing happens... Today I upgraded the OS to 12.00.17.06 (from 11.whoknows). I hop this work better... BTW, anybody know how can I configure the Bluetooth to don't ask anything when I connect to my car's entertainment system?

  • Yes, you can watch it via browser and/or via browser. You can download as well, via browser, on the sites for that (like keeptube or onlinevideoconverter, for example).

  • Can you watch youtube videos in this? Like directly on the site? And can you download vids as well?

  • Hello Is there a non-hassle or blacklist feature for callers? So, is there a choice of a favorite list to call from specific people and thank you

  • gsmarena specs : SIM Single SIM (Micro-SIM) or Dual SIM (Micro-SIM, dual stand-by). everyone else says micro+nano. and we are commenting on gsmarena. sadly they still havent corrected their own specs.

  • check this out. is sim 1 slot for Nano sim style. Sim 2 Slot is Micro sim Style.

  • ah oki, yeah thats also what i read the other places. im still waiting for mine. does is have facebook messenger ? or only whatsapp ?

  • I have Nokia 8110 4g. It is Dual SIM. The SIM Card 1 is Micro SIM. The SIM Card 2 is Nano SIM. Sorry for my English, is not my native language.

  • here it says micro sim, but other places says nano ? so what is the correct ? the gsmarena specs or the hmd nokia specs ?

  • No, I bought mine a month ago, and update was already available. Maybe it's got something to do woth the region...

  • No. My software says it is up to date whenever I try to update.

  • I am from Singapore. And I know the people on Vietnam have got KaiOS 11 too. Maybe it will be available in other regions until the end of July.

  • In which country/region you are? I bought yesterday in Saudi Arabia but it does not have any update yet & stucked on 10.0.0

  • TCooL, were you able to update the phone to 11.00.17.03??

  • anybody bought the Arabic version?? No update is found in AE version.

  • which region version is your phone belongs to?? I have the Arabic version and there is no 11.00.17.03 update here as well

  • It should come soon

  • That update is just a rumor. We are stuck to version 10.

  • Nokia should release 6310 4g as well. it'll be a hit!

  • I recently bought Nokia 8110 4G but there are no Facebook and Google apps. And the store only has 8 apps available. Is there any update for this phone? I tried updating but it always kept saying "Your software is up to date". I saw some people here updated to version 11 but mine is still stuck on version 10 I live in Philippines btw

  • JioPhone 2 will be the first mobile with KaiOS supporting WhatsApp. It will be avaible for purchase in India August 15th. My guess it's WhatsApp will be avaible on Nokia 8110 4g at November 2018.

  • Yes I read about that. The question is when? Are we going to wait until a new feature phone comes with default WhatsApp installed?

  • Facebook you already can (via app or via browser). WhatsApp you will can in a near future update, said by Juho Sarvikas (Chief Product Officer of HMD Global Oy). Attempt the twitter post of July 5th on Sarvikas official twitter account.

  • That video didn't show any Facebook or Whatsapp. Therefore Facebook and Whatsapp are not available in the latest update. You cannot use Whatsapp with this phone.

  • If your normal use are calls, sms and wi-fi (browser & youtube), then battery its weak, because it only dures 10-15 hours maximum.

  • how about the battery life in normal use..

  • Yes, it can. WhatsApp is coming to KaiOS

  • I have a 8110 4g and there is. Mine is 11.00.17.03 like this youtube video.

  • Nah i said that to the Anonymous guy who were claiming this phone to be a peice of expensive junk (And btw we're on the same side :D)

  • Tcool, do you know any way to unistall applications from Nokia 8110?

  • It says your software is up to date. Version 10.00.17.02. There is no version 11 update as of now.

  • No, none of phones using KaiOS doesnt support Viber.

  • It was expected tomorrow July 6th, but unfortunately HMD Global delayed for August 7th. Said by a Clove Technology worker.

  • Well it's meant to be July 4th... but there has been delays so it's claimed . I've got a uk compatible one on its way from the Eglobal site. I hope!

  • Clove Tech suggest it could be early August. I had mine pre-ordered from Amazon and it was due today. Then I got an email this morning saying they now don't know when it will arrive.

  • Nokia check out the new Jio phone with Qwerty keyboard. That's exactly what we need from you... And even something better.

  • Does anyone know when the phone is out in the uk?

  • Does it support viber???

  • That update brings all the apps mentioned in the last post.

  • Did you update your device for KaiOS 11.0.1?

  • How come? It doesn't have YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Google Search, Google Assistant, Google Maps and Weather apps.

  • I don't know about the future, but right now we can't. But I think maybe we can at the end of 2018 (just a rumor that I read). Right now only supports Java games, YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Google Search, Google Assistant, Google Maps and Weather.

  • Can we use WhatsApp on this cell phone???

  • I am from Europe. In my country Nokia 8110 4g costs €85. It worths the price. KaiOS it can be slow at times, but I think with updates is running better and faster. The battery of 1500mAh is a really turnoff, because only resists 1 day (or less) with calls, sms and internet navigation (via wi-fi). I miss the selfie camera like Nokia 230 from 2015. Overall, I think this smart feature phone is a good achieve by HMD Global. Curious to see the new Nokia Classic at MWC 2019 in Barcelona, I hope it will be a upgrade from 3310 3g and 8110 4g! :)

  • You were the same guy trolling in Samsung Note 8 opinions.

  • It is my tertiary phone. LOL!

  • Sorry it cannot.

  • Two pieces battery will be two times the thickness and still bulky.

  • Just need a phone like this that can download whatsapp. Nothing more

  • Yeah true... Haha it's hard to argue with you. Hmm many people would buy this as a secondary phone (if they buy at all) And it looks different - huawei y3 or nokia 2 looks basically the same as an expensive smartphone - similar form factor, no physical keypad. And really it's the personal preference, individual taste that matters after all... Anyone can always NOT buy an expensive feature phone, but I'm just glad it's available (for those who want something like this)

  • Dude i meant 3000 =2 × 1500mAh batteries

  • well, I appreciate your comment. But I still cant get over the fact that nokia 8110 costs exactly the same as huawei y3 2018! I guess your equation on huwaei y3 should help me understand this better..

  • 3000mAh will be too bulky, no difference with carrying a power bank. LOL!

  • 3000mAh battery will be too bulky. Just get the normal battery.

  • Then be happy with the extra battery and make two.

  • Not a big deal.

  • Okay I understand what you're saying. I had the same doubt when i bought this device. Yes, 79$ for a feature phone is a tough ask. But let's simplify the equation here... A really basic feature phone = 20-30 USD. A pocket fm radio/mp3 player = 10 USD A portable 4G-wifi router costs = 60 USD Total cost = 90 - 100 USD Nokia 8110 4G = 79 USD (max) (i bought it for 60 USD) Maybe you don't want your phone to be a portable hotspot or a mp3 player or anything other than a dumb phone. That doesn't mean there aren't anyone using this phone as a smart feature phone. And finally.. please don't mention about donating money to poor people instead of spending money on tech stuff.. Bcos it's a tough debate right? People use 1000$ iphones. People use really expensive Rolls-Royce cars. People pay hundreds of dollars for branded shi*ts right? Is it essential?? No not at all. We can live without any of what i mentioned above. But that's how the world works right? You study hard, you work hard to earn moeny. And you spend your hard earned money on whatever you like. If someone decide to use money as toilet paper (lol) that's their choice. Good people (you sound like you wanna do some good to this world), kind hearted ones donate, help poor people. But poverty is entirety a different topic. If someone studies really hard and get a college digree and a proper job, he/she can overcome poverty. Okay let me stop here. There's no point of commenting further :D (No hard feelings, I just stated a peice of the story)

  • Powerbank is too bulky. Extra batery will do just fine by me... :)

  • Yeah then the capacity will be 3000mAh. 3000mAh in this phone will be awesome (my nokia 8 also has 3000mAh). If you aren't satisfied yet, IDK buddy. Maybe carry a huge powerbank with you. XD

  • It's a fact and that's just it. You can't go back from call screen. Sometimes minimizing the call helps... (not a deal breaker though)

  • I don't understand why would any body want to waste their money on this phone just for sake of the weird awkward joke of a design when they can buy nokia 2 nokia 1 or huawei y3 with the same amount of money or even less.Honestly it looks nothing like the legendary matrix phone. That huge cover, tiny 2.4 tft backdated screen, overall toyish design and build quality - this phone looks damn ugly in many ways.if you all think you can impress your budds with this phone and expect they will say " wow hey where did you get that cool looking phone from? " then your world must really be very tiny. Instead dont be surprise if your friends or girlfriend end saying " wow, I didn't know you can do phone calls using a toy these days! " no no don't be surprise at all.HMD is stealing your money using nostalgia! so don't be fool, even if you need a backup phone. Its better to donate the entire money to those poor people who need it instead of wasting your hard earned money to buy this crap.

  • Is this supported E-mail ??

  • To play with it when you feel bored.

  • And why would you like to play snake while talking to your girlfriend on the phone? Doesn't make sense.

  • Right, but you can always use 3000mAh-20000mAh power bank anytime.

  • the additional battery you will buy cant be more than 1500mah, right?

  • Plug it to a power bank.

  • Actually i own one and it has 2 dedicated sim slots and a seperate microSD slot

  • Same goes with my device.Batery life isn't anywhere close to being good. But I use it for calls(a lot actually : since i have an unlimited minutes postpaid package) , 4G hotspot (occasionally) and sometimes just lock and unlock using the slider when I'm bored. Something like 2500mAh would've been really nice. But then, you can purchase an additional batery for less than 10$ (actually I will buy another battery)

  • You can import contacts directly from your Google account

  • 2000 i think (not sure though) you won't have a problem with it though

  • Yeah actually you've got a point. Why does anyone need to minimize a call on a feature phone lol :D But you know, sometimes when you use earphones during a call, let's say a long phone call (with your girlfriend maybe) and you need to turn the flashlight on or play snake(i know snake is terrible :D), you just can't go back from the phone call

  • Any body knows how many contacts no. Supported nokia 8110 ??

  • And why do you need to minimize the call? Doesn't make sense.

  • Actually if you can give one I will believe. Otherwise shut your mouth.

  • The answer is yes to all your query.

  • Does this phone has calculator and alarm? Can I send sms?

  • The price is a joke

  • the phones price is higher than a lot of 1gb ram android multi core powered smartphone.. I think the price is impractical.

  • How could you import and export contacts? Thanks

  • I bought this phone to use as a feature phone. But the battery is not lasting more than a day even I'm not using it. Is it a faulty battery or normal? Even battery saver mode doesn't help.

  • Nope. Once you're in a phone call, you can't even minimize the call. Music , Radio can be minimized.

  • Answer / End phone calls Lock / Unlock phone

  • please do this phone minimize or multitaxing?

  • Whats the use of the phone slide?

  • Google has invested 22 million USD on developing KaiOS for people like you. You guys want social media on these kind of phones, right? Good News buds, you'll get your wishes granted. Social Media will come... But wait... There are so many phone out there, with video calling and whatsapp and all those social apps for much lower prices than Nokia 8110. People can buy a nokia 2 if they're on a tight budget...

  • When is it going to be officially released in India?

  • Yes as a matter of fact it is worth for the price. A phone and a WiFi portable router in one but cheaper than portable WiFi.

  • It's a phone too ;)

  • Then go for iPhone X.

  • At least there should be what'sapp

  • I bought it to use as WiFi hot spot because it is cheaper than portable WiFi router, handy and lighter.

  • ...this kind of phone would be chosen for communicating, since u have 4g/wifi y not put a messaging app?! atleast whatsapp viber or fb messenger,.wasted opportunity, Definitely won't consider buying this for media consumption be real...

  • You need an iPhone X.

  • Then stop complaining about this phone. This is not a super phone. Don't expect too much.

  • No front camera for video calls. Not worth for the price.

  • NOBODY needs an iPhone!

  • Even iphone X wouldn't do it. IOS isn't the best for customization unless you jailbreak. Oneplus's Oxygen OS is the best for customization i think.

  • This meant to be a nostalgia-fan device. I bought it because i liked the form factor, it looks quite nice, and i wanted a portable wifi router and to make normal phone calls + fm radio :D So for me this is quite useful. It's not that slow under normal circumstances (under heavy load, it is a but slow example :- when hostpot is on and music is playing). And i really don't use this t9 keypad for texting. Smartphone keypad is way better. Blackberry key 2 will be the best option if you want a physical keyboard, stylish and a faster phone. This never meant to be a daily driver (i think)

  • This meant to be a nostalgia-fan device. I bought it because i liked the form factor, the difference

  • this artistic and nostalgia phone, reinvented feature phone. Dont expected to much. Don't buy this phone for : mobile legent, PUBG, etc.

  • You need iPhone X.

  • 4g != VoLTE. VoLTE is just one way to make voice calls with 4G phone.

  • I have updated and nothing improve for the OS. They just add apps like u said, who wanna watch youtube on this screen, and with slow respond!? Deas anyone know how to turn off sending messages sound? really annoying.

  • could import and export contacts using Bluetooth as VCF files

  • 4g = volte

  • thank you very much for your help

  • The whole day.

  • Could you please try Wifi Hotspot, it can link to 2-3 other user? and battery can be working how many hours for Wifi Hotspot? thanks for your help

  • Nokia 105 (2017) will get the job done for you. No google, no facebook. Just purely a basic phone with a fm radio. No 4G though (but why 4G if not connecting to internet?)

  • Actually we do have the phone you want :) Nokia 105 (2017) well without

  • We want a mobiles using 4G network but without internet at all. No Google no face book no internet access, it can help to avoid further internet hacking , also safe to use by kids , save more battery power while traveling , we have Thousands of Modern Smart Phones but we don’t have basic mobiles ?!!!

  • Nokia 8110 4G ---| The best feature phone available in the market right now... ---| Available around 70 USD... ---| Banana Yellow one is eyecatching, yet unavailable at most of the markets right now... ---| Out of the box, ran on KaiOS 10 - which was very laggy. But an update for KaiOS 11 fixed the lagging problem... ---| After KaiOS 11 update - Google Assistant (someone unbaked version), Google Maps are available... ---| Speaker output is quite good... ---| 3.5mm output is also pretty good (specially if you have a good pair of earphones) ---| KaiOS can be quite confusing at first. You'll most likely encounter following problems: 1) Adjusting media playback volume is a bit confusing. A pair of dedicated shortcut keys (+ and -) is possible through future updates. (A volume rocker would've been ideal) 2) You can't go directly back to the homescreen from an app (first you have to close the app and bla bla bla, basically you have to undo every step you've done to be in the app now you're in) ---| Portable Wifi Hotspot is the major selling point (Every salesperson / reviewer will bring it up) ---| If HMD global included stereo speakers and 32 bit/192kHz audio in Nokia 8110, it would've increased the value of the device significantly... Conclusion (why i bought ut anyways) :- ---| I just wanted a device to make calls and send occasional text - yes this device can do that, plus 3G or 4G calling has a higher quality comparing to 2G (to my knowledge) ---| In the near future, I'm going to need a portable Wi-Fi router, so this can double in as a portable Hotspot ---| Actually this is the most important reason :-D I was waiting a long time to buy a (useful) dumb phone...

  • Did you update?? I bought it today and initially it was laggy and i hated it. But i saw there was an update available to kaiOS 11 and after updating thibgs got so much better. Google Assistant, Maps, Google apps are now supported and the lag is pretty much negligible now.

  • This phone is a complete waste of money. You can't customize the shortcuts, you can't access contacts from the home screen. You can't custom ringtone, and the worst of all is the LAG. HEAVY LAG in whatever you are doing. the phone can't even keep up with my fingers

  • Yes it does! Hotspot is one of the main selling points

  • Love the 8110, I will use it for Hotspot, Wifi, and Music. Hopefully able to link up all my Bluetooth headphones.

  • 1. Yes, multi number for 1 contact

  • bring back E71

  • Can we chat / wats app work on this cell ???

  • Does this phone supports IMO ? and it has no secondary camera, that means it won't support video calling, right ?

  • Does this phone supports IMO ? and it has no secondary camera, that means it won't support video calling, right ?

  • This phone is awesome for those want to use, as secondary phone. I am waiting for this phone for ages. Nokia (india) please release this phone soon.

  • How do I import all my sms from my old android phone ?

  • does it have hotspot tethering?

  • It has appstore. Although apps are limited for now

  • nokia should product at least one symbian belle feture pack 2 phone every year.

  • It has no secondary videocall camera, no OTG, no JAVA support, no sensor, no app store. Nokia E52 is better. I want to see Nokia E52 4g.

  • Hi, I realy want to try this phone could you help 1- could I store multi numbers on the same contact? 2- could I import and export contacts using VCF by bluetooth with android phones? 3- could I use bluetooth headset? 4- could I use GPS? thanks in advance

  • Thank you :) Media Markt DE - to my best knowledge - does not deliver to a foreign address in the EU, but its promising they only have the dual sim version. :)

  • Your comment makes me LAUGH! We all know that pressing the bottom row buttons can be more difficult because of the slide but we will buy it because WE LIKE THIS RETRO PHONE! Regarding the slowed down performance after Google sync, I DO NOT BELIEVE YOU, and why use that anyway? Export VCF from smartphone, send to 8110 and import! This kind of phone we buy because we like it, so no passionate user will sell it after 2 days. It smells like a fake comment!

  • Hallo, guten Morgen! :) I think the two different numbers are for the two different colors (yellow or black). I pre-order a Nokia 8110 4g on a physical store on Europe (Media Markt) and they only sold dual-sim version! Hope that information can help you! Peace and... Nokia Always! :)

  • Can anybody please tell me, what are the DUAL SIM version's item numbers, or model numbers? It is possible to pre-order them in Europe, but the description does not say if single or dual sim version on Amazon.de for example. They mention though this: Item model number: 16ARGB01A03 ASIN: B07CNXF98X Item model number: 16ARGY01A03 ASIN: B07CNSPBWV ...But this does not help me, as I dont know these numbers... :) Thank you very much for your help!

  • After a day of purchase, I sold it. Reason: After the phone book synchronization from Google, It has been slow down. On the other hand, due to the slide, there is a problem facing the top and bottom rows  buttons pressing.

  • yes

  • Yes it supports WiFI Hotspot

  • its KaiOS , not android , or ios , or windows so what u expecting more ?

  • no

  • yes

  • yes, it is possible

  • If this phone supports Whatsapp, Facebook Videos, Youtube Videos, PDF, Nokia PC Suite then it will surely be not a piece of junk

  • If it supports Nokia PC Suite & Whatsapp,,, then it will surely not be a piece of junk

  • kiaos got whatsapp ? really??

  • Ring-ring-ring-ring-ring-ring-ring Banana phone!

  • Yes!

  • It has everything you wrote. Don’t underestimate KIA OS

  • You can always use the web browser for emails, weather, news, plane info etc. Messaging app support is a must though, even with that keyboard.

  • So, no weather, no Whatsapp, no emails, no airplane tracking, no "pharmacy near me"...? Good for you. I can't!

  • I’m done with smartphones, this is the best option for me. I Must go for it.

  • And that is DOWN!!!

  • Does this phone Supports Gmail ID for Transferring contacts?

  • What applications dors it support?? Does it support WhatsApp??

  • If I could install Uber or Careem I'm definitely buying this phone.

  • F*** yeah!!! This is where the future of technology is heading boys!!!!

  • does it support office files and pdf files

  • Other than Nokia's great build quality, design n remaining features .....yeah...its support wifi hotspot....its meanz nokia understand user requirements n it available by default

  • So it have a nice large space for a cell phone with physical buttons it supports bluetooth wifi having a camera and a good 1500 mAh batetry which could last a week on such a small screen. Also its suports quiote large SD cards. Nokia again did best possible job. This phone is really something unique. Also both color variants looks excellent.

  • Does it support wifi hotspot???

  • No. it won't. ^^'

  • This phone is not made for applications. in fact, this phone is for calling, and battery is good bcoz no big screen or many applications to kill it. Only the 4g i think.

  • Actually it has a micro SD slot . And 2 sim

  • My comments : 1.cheap approx 70$ 2.very slow response i mean really slow .. very weak processor 3.weak battery life. 4.i think i like the design only . 5.Only 5 or 6 applications are avaiable in the app store. 6. Still no whatsapp and not confirm to

  • I don't know, but I'm very sad that I can't get it for two more months

  • Jio phone is too ugly for comparing to Nokia 8110 4g

  • Are you serious?! Why is the release delayed from May to July?!

  • does this will get whats app

  • this phone is same to jio phone. but one diffrent jio phone does not have 3g

  • Can run youtube on this phone?

  • Amazing

  • When will it be available in Pakistan?

  • Retail one.

  • Did you bought the knockoff version from Eba**** ?

  • When is it available in South Africa?

  • Nokia centre salesman told me that it is scheduled to be launch this August in Malaysia

  • Pros: Good speaker Have note Nice design Cons Slow respond (when accessing menu, mess, contact, etc), even Nokia 216 is faster There are no shortcuts in the navigation keys Weak vibration style Can't back to main display quickly Can't turn off message sent sound Very small keypad, hard to press quickly even thou my finger is small Wish the sliding cover had open/ close force support Kaios makes things slower such as sending messages with 2 Sim cards

  • thazeem Comparing the Nokia 110 with this 8110 does not make great sense. The Nokia 8110 brings 4G, GPS, Google applications (including Maps and Assistant), has better processor, more RAM, more storage, we are in the presence of a feature phone much more advanced than the Nokia 110. Could it be cheaper? It could but the Nokia 110 at the foot of the Nkia 8110 4G is a dumb phone.

  • Does work youtube on nokia 8110 4g?

  • Is it possible to synchronize my 2.000 contacts from Google account

  • Yes

  • this phone price very high ,if we remove the slider its just look like nokia 110

  • Still it is the smartest banana ever...

  • It is a smart feature phone...

  • ... It's not a smartphone. Way too many people are expecting too much, this is a feature phone.

  • i wish nokia would have added android go to this superb looking smartphone they are more than capable .

  • I dont understand on what you are talking about.. please make your English understandable..

  • 1. Is it possible to synchronize my 4.000 contacts from Google ? 2. Is it possible to be a 4G wifi hotspot for my iPAD devices ?

  • Does it really have all these features: 1) Wifi 2) Bluetooth 4.1 with A2DP 3) GPS 4) FM Radio 5) SD Card Slot ??

  • When it comes in store?

  • Does this support jio 4g sim card?? As u have mentioned it 4g support

  • NOKIA...... It's may and there is no 8118 4G in stores.... :((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((( Where is the 8110? Show me the 8110! THERE IS NO 8110 ! :(((((((((((

  • You have no idea what you are talking about! It has SD CARD!

  • post said it will be out May... its 2nd week already. when will this be out?

  • BE CAREFULL! i've contacted NOKIA CARE anche this 8110 4Gb , HAS NOT THE MICRO SD! And MOST of the 4gb are occupied by OS and pre-installed APP. Even the Nokia 150 very basic phone, has the MICRO SD! BE careful to DO NOT SPEND MONEY for this unuseless phone

  • Well I don't think it will have any kind of offline navigation, but at least YouTube works (if I recall correctly, it should run no issues on the browser).

  • Will it have offline navigation and YouTube on at least 360p?

  • Kindly Inform Is it support Whatsapp or Not? Thanks

  • No. It runs a variant of the FirefoxOS, so applications are written as some sort of web stack. Still better than Java.

  • That's the phone from 'The Matrix'

  • Does it support java applets with the Kai os?

  • Blackberry!

  • No. It's not a smartphone ,you expecting too much from this phone.

  • What kind of questions is that?🔫

  • How many languages do you speak? Some of these people are not native English speakers

  • Haha yeah I agree, but the user opinion section of gsmarena has always been like this.

  • What drives so many absolutely illiterate people to this site? Between the horrid grammar and mind bogglingly stupid questions it'll make your head spin right off your shoulders! That being said... I'm totally buying this in black. 😎

  • what is the phone audio call supported

  • That's Siri, not Google Assistant

  • sweet! and yeah, the 4G will be a waste for me if there's no portable hotspot, since VoLTE is useless here.

  • Pity it come with Google assistant built in AKA NSA 24hr listening device.

  • it should have hotspot, otherwise 4G it's useless. and I saw some reviews, where was said it have hotspot

  • does it support any messages like whatsapp ,line , etc...

  • Looks good. want to buy.

  • Hey fircho this is also available in black! Perfect for those who want to concentrate more on their studies ( or life )!

  • this can play mobile lejen

  • support Whatsapp or not?

  • It´s the best color for a phone. You can´t even lose it.

  • Don't like the color, but is a decent phone for the prize

  • The phone looks great...the color not so good.

  • Good phone.

  • Apple next

  • want one !

  • So agree! 👏✋👍

  • Q: can this phone used as wifi hotspot? I need to replace my current portable wifi and if this phone can double duty as one, I'll definitely get it!

  • its 8110 , not 8850 , it suppose to be curve

  • I want this without curve

  • That's quite a list of phones you've got there. Do you really own all those phones? Sounds crazy- owning 3 Nokia smartphones, perhaps more from other manufacturers, and a bunch of dumb phones- all at the same time.. Well, I've got 10+ phones myself, but they aren't all of the same generation, my collection starts from the Motorola T180 Talkabout, all the way up to Lumia 925- at which point I gave up Nokia and bit the Apple iPhone bullet.. But buying a bunch of phones all from the same generation (give or take), in my humble opinion, is just a WASTE of money- you're better off buying a top of the line super expensive laptop than buying so many phones at the same time. I do agree with your assessment of dumb phones. I am looking forward to this banana phone- it's very different and looks very cute.

  • Make a fone with no curve anda 2.8``or 3`` display, for calls text and sms , Stereo FM radio, RDS; built-in antenna. it will be great.

  • A banana phone! What will Nokia think of next

  • Music and email... sweet.

  • Qwerty is way better than t9 phone. I hope they gonna relese a qwerty/slid phone with oreo go.

  • Any QWERTY phones that supports WhatsApp???

  • Keyone is good but way too overprised.

  • Why not - to stand out of the crowd? But why the camera is SO MISERABLE!

  • Why don't you buy BlackBerry KEYone?

  • No.

  • Waiting for a reveal of a qwerty metalic phone. Maybe the lovely E71 or E72.

  • Do you really believe this phone really worth $100! Just bez its "nokia" 4g feature phone?

  • Your're kidding me right.

  • I still use the 7110. Slider with spring, Battery that lasts for days, Simple interface and the good old antenna. I just love it. And it also turns heads when you use it on the street. Yes, I use a smartphone too, it's a Galaxy S3mini. Also, why does the 8110 4G have 4GB of storage? It's not like it has a really high resolution camera or a screen suitable for watching movies.

  • looks like every other phone

  • I hope they goona relese a qwerty /qwerty slider phone with oreo go .

  • Looks like a Toy

  • As a phone,or as a banana?

  • Price of nokia 8110 4G is too high......

  • Waiting for Slider phone or something like Nokia N series.... Love it .

  • Nokia E7 was awesome

  • Hope they release Nokia E7 4G reborn 5.5 inches AMOLED screen HD resolution Gorilla Glass 3 Keyboard slider Snapdragon 450 Whatever OS 3GB RAM 64GB ROM 12MP snapshooter 5MP selfie NFC Fingerprint 3500mAh 150$

  • bring back monochrome display (black and white) phones! - there is a market for it!

  • I wish they would bring back Nokia 7373 in a new and sleek style.

  • bring stylish swivel and flip phones.

  • It kinda a good explanation you given there "nullkiryow" however, it is the Nokia 8110 4G, not 8810 4G, perhaps that one we get later one :-D

  • The reason for choosing low pixel camera modules for feature phones is due to the fact that the the device are designed for simple, day to day, basic usage. Not for high-end users.

  • The new Nokia 8110 4G does run on a stripped down Android version named KaiOS, however it does support Google Contacts and Calendar sync in the same way it does on Nokia (and other) Smartphones running a full fetched version of Android.

  • It has turned out that Nokia has taken back the "ASHA" brand name. Have some patience, we surely will be seeing more awesome smartphones and feature phones from Nokia, carrying the ASHA name soon :-D

  • My personal opinion about the Nokia 8110 4G (and all previous 3310 versions) is, that I always have been and still am a huge Nokia fan. Yes, I also use other brand phones, but my mostly used devices today are still Nokia devices like the new series Nokia 2,3,5 and 6, if I don't want to use a smartphone because i want to have some peace and quiet, then I have my Nokia 3310 3G and a 3310 4G or a iOutdoor T2 (when it gets rough) to choose from and I can tell you how awesome these "dumb" devices can be sometimes (if one can handle the fact not to be on Facebook or WhatsApp 24/7). The Nokia 8110 4G gives me just that little extra, namely WiFi and the fact that is runs on a stripped down version of Android. I still can have all my contact and calendar and e-mail with me, and have no problem living without Facebook and WhatsApp for a couple of hours or even days. Added, that I like the slider idea of the Nokia 8110 4G, #vintage. 1500mah batter does not sound much, but hey, it will last far longer then any Smartphone out there, look around, how many smartphone users a forced to carry around an arsenal of battery packs, cables or power plugs just to make sure that their Smartphone don't become "juice-less" suddenly. Then, 2.4 inch screen, is more then enough for what one does on a device like that, what is the point of having a compact device with a large (touch) screen on it? 2MP Camera, just for fun, if more megapixels are required, there are some good Canon EOS Cameras out there, which take even better pictures then the best Smartphone money can buy. There you have it, my personal conclusion on feature phones in common, but mostly dedicated to this awesome Nokia 8110 4G. Which I definitely will get as soon as it it becomes available :-P

  • The Nokia 8110 4G will not be waterproof. If you like a waterproof feature phone for your outdoor activity, perhaps and if I may suggest, you may want to look for a Rugged Device like the iOutdoor T2 for example. I have have one for my outdoor actives which include being in the water or rainy conditions (jungle), this device is just perfect for the job and has an extremely long battery power (antenna can be removed if unwanted), check out the review at: And yes the device is from and made in china, but hey... what isn't from or made in china nowadays :-D. But a best buy when it comes to what it offers. If you want one, look for one on Lazada or other online stores selling tech form china :-D

  • ALPHANUMERIC keyboard and WIFI together!!! Simply awesome! I miss my good old Nokia E51. And there are GPS and 4G too. Sadly i see no java at the specs sheet. I like that slider and hope it will be durable enough because i will buy this. It would be even better on Symbian though. It would be good a high specs alphanumeric keyboard phone too, e.g. android, front cam, edge to edge high res 3" amoled screen, etc.

  • Hi, please tell me if it has unlimited phone book? Thank you very much.

  • Oh, I like it and really want to get it really soon. But, I hope it is given loud speaker, internal FM antenna (no need to plug in any earphone), and more waterproofing to accomodate my outdoor activity. But, this is really pleasing for me to see that nokia is coming back to give their unique phone back in new ways.

  • In my opinion, Nokia does what they always have done best. Be innovative and being a trend-setter. Yes, they still make feature phones, or "dumb-phones" as some would call it. But if one looks around, what is actually out there, what kind of innovations, or trend-setters? Actually none at all. Apple comes with a new design, all follow, Apple comes with a new feature, all follow, Apple comes with a bezel less design, all follow etc etc etc. My personal review on phones like the Nokia 8110 4G (or Nokia 3310 2G/3G/4G), of coz it does not "look" the same like the original, that would not be possible, however, it does offer precisely that what some people are still looking for, smart features, in a simple, yet useful design. For users who don't want to own a battery consuming, 1 million apps device which cost almost as much as a months rent (not in all countries are phones free with a contract). Hence, Nokia delivers just that. Yes, If you come from your super high-tech smartphone and go to something like the Nokia 8110 4G, you'll be disappointed, why? Because the phone is not design for users like you. So, you are looking for a simple device, just enough for your daily usage, but with little bit extra, well there you go. If not, plenty of boring big displayed smartphones to choose from out there. That is why phones like these exist, not mend for boring smartphones users. Sorry to be so blunt, but sometimes these comments here extremely single minded and do not contain any respect towards each other. So, i just speak up! Have a great day

  • Please dude stop sending comments like this one. Poeple don't like to read about irrational comparisons between phones. Nokia 230 is a 2G phone while new 8110 is a 4G phone. Morover new 8110 comes with a more advanced operation system(kaiOS) & not not just S30+ and so definitely it is a far way better phone. Nokia 8110 is a smart feature phone while Nokia 230 it isn't.

  • You missed the point. What I said was that this Nokia "8110" has nothing to do with the original one. It's another phone with the same name. You know why they use this name to sell this model? It's to attract customers. Why don't people buy Nokia 230 for example, which has almost the same functions? This branding is just a marketing effort, they're using it so that people can think "hey it's the Nokia 8110 of the 21st century" and buy this non-related to Nokia 8110 at all model. I'm saying that if they named this same model with another name, it would not attract the same number of people. You're right, stupidity does amaze me when I have to explain things more...

  • It's meant to be cheap

  • it is good..... and I will enjoy it.

  • Why so bad camera? Would like to have, bad poor camera makes it pointless. I make photos to look with computer or tablet or on other device. Small display does not mean that camera need to be as poor as display.

  • Stupidity never ceases to amaze me Nokia has never claim this product to be the "ORIGINAL" one mind you ?? Notice the word "4g" behind Nokia 8810 ?? This is the second generation of 8810 not the original one And Nokia has never officially claim the new phone to be an exact duplication version of the original one have they ?? If you want an original one fine get an original one This is the updated version of the original one long after ......and a modern version of what Nokia envision in 2018 for 8810 put it simply

  • A qwerty slider is better choise!

  • Anyone remembers the old 8110 on matrix?????

  • Will this be able to run old java games or which apps are running?

  • I am very big fan of Nokia Key pad Phone, specialy Symbian S60 & S80 Phones. Still I am using Nokia C5 & E51 for great talk time & mainly for Unlimited Phone book, Company must re-launch Symbian series. In my group & family many of the people seriously interested in S60 feature phone (Keypade Phone)

  • No Infrared, No buy!

  • If you have simply take time to go on nokia website and look at the specs you will have the answer... Lazy guy/girl, if you interested you find the info. The answer is yes

  • Sure. can use for file transfer, voice message...etc. Why not?

  • Will it support J2ME MIDlets?

  • People, life is too short to be spent crying over insignificant matters like phone names. I mean you allow yourselves to be nickled and dimed for fancy 1000usd smartphones with incremental upgrades.

  • While that may be funny but t9 keyboard is actually better especially with Asian languages. There is also no stupid keyboard popping up and down that blocks the screen.

  • This is NOT the Nokia 8110. Please Nokia, stop trying to sell phones by just naming them "8110" (or the other 3310 one) and exploiting people's nostalgia. If you want to sell the Nokia 8110, sell the Nokia 8110, the REAL one, with the monochrome display. This marketing effort is just stupid. Unless people fall for it and buy a simple phone for more money JUST because of the TITLE. If I wanted to buy the Nokia 8110, I would buy the REAL one.

  • You wanna run whatsapp in t9 phone?

  • if you want to be part if googles spy network by all means don't chose this phone. its not Android

  • small RAM and ROM, also battery. it would be better if it has minimum 1 gb RAM and 8 gb ROM also more than 2000mAH

  • Clearly, you have missed the point of this phone

  • Can anyone plz tell me truly that .... Does this phone Nokia 8110 4G .... HAVE HOTSPOT OPTION ???

  • Plastic body makes it look cheap. Would have preferred a metal body.

  • I have good memories with my old Nokia phone. I love this new phone but i think it will be better if Nokia use android OS,

  • Nokia bring back more legends nokia n97,e6

  • I loved the nokia 808 pureview If nokia can remake it exactly but with android I would Definetely buy it

  • The battery does not delight me at this terminal at all, 1500mAh is small for 2018, preferably at least 2800mAh. The updated symbian platform was ideal for this terminal. Unfortunately, Nokia is no longer innovative and no longer original... Sin, because most of the nostalgists, and not only, are waiting for ... the idea of banana is not bad, but as far as the terminal is concerned, nokia much better possibilities and that only if you look at the old patterns created in the past ... could have been better. It is a shame, however, that nokia has so easily renounced the symbian platform and the famous animated logo with its hands ... that gave it a personality to the nokia terminals. I hope that nokia will come back to the aforementioned to become great again.

  • You're wasting your time waiting for anything. Nokia is just a brand name now, it's not the same Nokia that used to make phones in Europe. They have just licenced the use of their brand name. This is just a gimmick, no use to anybody and like the recent 3310, vastly overpriced.

  • If you always buy cheap stuff, that is not the production origin problem. cheap stuff don't last long in which ever any origin. not just china. by the way, iphone is also made in china, well they claim assembled in china... you know what's that mean.

  • My NOKIA 808 PureView is made in China and after 6 years of daily use still doing strong

  • Why don't support Whatapps?

  • I am waiting to buy a Nokia phone NOT made in China

  • Expected release date is May 2018. Let's just hope that by then, it will be available to most people.

  • I wonder if the gps will work as in the android phones

  • Nokia should revive the iconic Communicator.

  • Yess

  • I def will seriously look at investingetting in 1 I loved the 1996 version was a sad day when I had to let it go 😢 you either loved or hated the original! There are so many different opinions about the phone but don't knock this 1 back until you try it well done nokia for bringing the newer versions of retro phones

  • You are so wrong one fifth of the world mobile market (about 1 billion) is still using a dumb phone...India and Africa still a hugh market!

  • Thats Banana phone! XD

  • KaiOS is a Modern Symbian OS!?

  • OMG that price :(

  • just a simple question to Nokia what is the strategy behind to launch this phone at such high price. There are lot many phones with better features available in the market with lower prices.

  • if one just wanna use a features phone one can buy the most basic Nokia probably cost them $20, not this expensive yellow banana.. lol

  • Imagination sd845 inside it..xD

  • U cant imagine how much ppl luv such hand sets as primary use.

  • yes, because it's very comfortable for calls like Home Cellphones (since it turns taller)

  • Its good for wifi hotspot router

  • It's only available for limited market.

  • is this even necessary? it won't be able to sell in big volume, Nokia is repeating it's previous mistake by launching model that can't be sold in big quantity.

  • I think it will be super cool if hmd can resurect nokia 7610 asymmetric phone... i imagine it will have asymmetric screen panel like its body in full HD+ 18:9 ratio...unique and simply amazing

  • This is one of the coolest phone back in the late 90's.... They should named it Nokia Matrix for the fun of it...

  • I was late to comment :(

  • Will it have whatsapp??? Seems like a must have though...

  • this is superb, brings back the nostalgic feel... a refreshing in today's plain thin candy bar phone scene

  • Yes you can use it as ur wifi to your smartphone

  • Can it run java? If it can i'll buy it i love old Nokia Phones

  • How many contacts? How many numbers per contact? Can enter other details to contacts like bday, address, etc?

  • Create Nokia N-Gage QD Reborn (2018) or (2019) please.. It will light up the nostalgia of gamers.. Nokia, please.. hehe Nokia N-Gage QD Reborn (2018) or (2019) with OS Android Oreo (Go edition)

  • lol

  • Only one. The Operator

  • how many names it could store

  • The yellow one is a must...

  • This phone has KaiOS

  • So this is a smartphone? just like symbian s60 series?

  • I used to own the original banana phone. Loved it. It was made popular in The Matrix.

  • Bad design girl folding some time use to lose price maximum 60 Euro I suggest without girl folding design best

  • My next backup phone. lol

  • if it does whatsapp i am sold

  • can it work as a wifi hotspot?

  • I don't get why smartphone/iProduct users feel obliged to come here and comment things such as "crap!", "worthless phone!", "nokia is shit" and so on about products that aren't really targeted towards their demographic. You'd think that if they're so pleased with their credit-card-thin iGlass devices they would rather be enjoying themselves. This phone looks good in my opinion.

  • not worth more than 50 euros tbh, nokia overpriced imo

  • Another great phone and think it had 2 different models different keypads, one qwerty one T9.had T9 model.

  • if This has Google maps, YouTube and An Fm radio. Sign Me Up!

  • Anybody Think It Will Support 128gb Sd? The Black One Looks Super!

  • E52 please

  • This is a future phone kid. It does not need better better better... by the way: better not batter. Batter is your head in the cloud of ignorance.

  • An E90 please.

  • if this can take reasonable photo of card like business card this could be my next work phone it has torch as well does twitter/text/phone calls and has touch bigger screen that my E75 I used for work for 18 months.

  • If you don't know anything, then keep quiet. This mobile not using any battery eating android os & its for that users who want to use some of basic features of a smart phone.

  • Love it! Great phone, I love the Nokia heritage by renewing old phones. Great stuff.

  • wish it had a touchable screen

  • Nokia is back doing BullSh**it. Why not use a batter processor and more ram and batter battery. They cant fool people this time. till now ... Nokia is Crap.

  • I'd rather have the Nokia 1.

  • Looks unique but the 2MP rear with no front cam? Ridiculous! The screen is also pathetic..Easily could have been 2.6" or even 3" max in that body. 14.9mm thickness of a brick yet battery only 1500mAh? Seriously? Lame af, not a icon. Props for the resurrection though...

  • This phone is an AF camera away from being a good smartphone alternative.

  • Nice one! Nokia should reincarnate old models and give them tweaks and twists. I love what theyre doing now and I just hope they can sustain their comeback. Theyre definitely BACK!
