  • Meizu M5 body is not aluminum, it is poly-carbonated. For a normal user, who do not play heavy games, just for surfing internet, facebook and chatting, Meizu M5 is OK! By spending just 100$, you can get a 5.2 inches display, and guess what, you also get fingerprint sensor, 3070 mph battery and 4G network. :O I am okay with Meizu M5. As I need to buy a handset for my younger sister and I don't wanna spend more than 150$, Meizu M5 met my needs. Easily root-able, upgrade-able, average camera shots, low price,...etc... Even in 2018, let me say, Meizu M5 is still worth to buy!

  • Dear all i had never seen a fu..kin phone like this......previously i had used samsung also.....it is faster than this.....this is not a 3 gb ram phone...they are cheating us..i spend almost 20 minutes to write this much......full heating and battery problems..i contacted meizu customer care india...and mailed to meizu china also....not get any response from any one...i am begging u all..please dont bye this a..hole......better go for redmi or honor...

  • to make it simple....go to hot apps..and seek for "google apps instaler" ..install it ...and he will do all job for you ( it will install all google tools and google play store among them)..after that just apply your google account and that"s it...enjoy it;)

  • you need to register your Meizu account first ( if you didn"t by far) and then install google services from any browser..it may ask your mail adress but that is just part of installation and synchro..once u do that you should be able to download play store ..just as I did

  • I was so exited when I got this phone few months ago...something different from other phones I"v owned before..everything was perfect with meizu m5 (great baterry life,speed,flyme OS etc) but cca month ago some virus was totaly destroyed his firmware!! I"v tried to contact their official site several times but alas,no help what so ever!! In a meantime phone was in a service shop,firmware was succesfully changed and updated with original but ...meizu don"t recognize sim cards !!! always showing "unccorect IMEI" when ever i put sim card in it!!..rest of the phone(apps,net,OS..) works perfectly!!...please help...

  • I love it so far, after the update it got so much better I dropped it like million times ,not a single scratch!! The plastic cover absorbs shocks very well The only negative thing is the battery If you have a long day out make sure your mobile data is off. (Keep the original charger,The only one that works perfectly)

  • I have problem with this device, the common problem often comes from download manager ( device software) , it's showing alot of anknown data showing download progress without showing any download item.

  • Just purchased mine 2 days before the New Year, the phone was officially assembled here in Indonesia like other big-name brands, and I must say it's a pleasant experience even for being a first time Flyme user (I've been an avid MIUI user and EMUI the second, the transition wasn't that big) The pros: near clutter-free UI experience, almost no bloatware to be found but the necessary basics unlike the other two UIs, the single-key navigation is a fantastic feature once you get used to it, smooth operating, the 5.2" screen is so revolutionary that I love how well it works for being a "compact phablet" since I'm personally not really digging a 5.5" and I find 5" to be too basic now The not so goods: dated and relatively weaker chipset (the current setup is about comparable to either Snapdragon 410 and 425, both are low-end) but still beyond capable, photos could be sharper instead of too soft and quite noise-y, first time users may find it confusing to use at first especially for the lack of Play Store (which is not preinstalled by default but can be installed via its own App Store) unless they purchased the phone at the nearest offline store and let the seller install it for them

  • Make sure that you have enabled Volte in the settings which is off by default. I am using Jio SIM and it works fine.

  • it is show volte.. but when I put my jio sim.. its data eneble but voice call can't run.. if u want to call. u must use jio 4gvoice apps

  • The phone is good, sleek, fast response time and the likes. The demerit is the battery life. The battery drain quickly compare to another phone with same battery strength that has even been used for one year. Meiji need to work on the battery or else they will fade out of the market. Battery is the life of any phone.

  • been using this phone for 3 days, picked matte black because it looks prettier than the glossy gold. its a solid upgrade from my previous M2, snappy, brighter and better screen, camera, better build, battery is good though i wish it would last longer lol, and fingerprint is fast although its not always on. my only cons so far, the loudspeaker is rather muffled when playing music though.

  • I actually like my Meizu M3S because of its compact size. If i break it tomorrow, i would NOT consider M5 - it would be less comfy to use one-handed. Only 3mm wider - but that's the straw that brakes the camel's back. Meizu's M-touch button is great - i will miss it.

I have a meizu m5 and snapchat keep saying （oh no your login temporarily failed so please try later） i search on google to find how to fix it and it say that only rooted sevices does does that. I downloaded the root checker and it says that my device is not properly rooted. Please help me, wath should i do

  • With fllyme os you can root your phone by checking a box in settings. That's all, your phone reboot and it is rooted

  • Android update is not about UI it's about all new permissions that it gives you All new features like this new pro or manual mode in camera that is awesome which was added in Android 6 These features you can't get with custom UI or root And always there is performance optimization and security updates Just because you don't know about something don't deny it. And no matter how much they mess with UI they can't change Android functionality

  • I've used a Meizu M2 for quite sometime. The mback button what Meizu uses is something which will make you suffer every single time you use the phone. It works like once in 10 times. Flyme updates are pathetic. Meizu should incorporate an option for having virtual buttons as well in their flyme OS. The M5 looks like a more degrade than a upgrade in terms of specs? No fingerprint? Hmmm.
