Realme 5 Pro - User Reviews

  • antutu read 3.5giga ram not 4giga. Ram why my phone is 4gigaram

  • my ram4giga and antutu read total 3.5 why not read 4 giga ram

  • Yup q got bug on my realme 3 pro along ago but it has ben fixed by ota update

  • some times it does not sense touches also sometimes it pops up its volume automatically What's this

  • Thanks rm 5pro.. I bye the mobile some day... Now money i save it...

  • Mi 9 lite is better

  • Color OS not suck are peoples thinking is just consume alot resource ram and internal storage, color OS ver 6 and above are better than previously cause has optimal hardware configuration especially camera, configuration for heavy game and are you dislike color OS too much just switch another OS like AOSP, lineage os ect

  • Thanks for your answer, do you have any "specific" opinion about these phones? i have seen several reviews and seems to me that the worst problem is colorOS that affects performance.

  • stay away from any phone id with "lite" its junk thats a recommendation!

  • i can't decide between Realme 5 pro (8/128) and Xiaomi mi 9 lite (6/128) cause in italy cost the same but Mi9 lite has better camera and software. Are there some real advantages i haven't considered ? I would be very thankful if someone could help me decide :)

  • Turn on HDR mode if you want natural looking face complexion and quit complaining.

  • Camera8.1. Version 6.2.030.244457635. It also requires some settings of colour and brightness. However without it can also work beautifully. Best of luck.

  • I've tried couple of gcam version and tried changing the saturation and shadow setting, but I'm getting more darker image, not natural colour. Could you please advice with right gcam version and setting we need to change for better picture. It will be really helpful.

  • Your point is valid to some extent. Use different settings n u wl avoid telcom powder effects. Use gcam version made for nokia 8.1 and u wl have very good results. I am using nokia lumia 1520 (20 mp carl ziese optic), moto z force (21 mp) at launching they were US$. 750.00. Realme 5 pro which i use most of the time is not behined them, een better. U need to workout settings.

  • Bought this after seeing many comments saying it has good camera. As one of my main reason is to get a good camera phone. Wonder how people say this phone as better camera. Do they really like the un-natural softening, especially on the face, which gives you impression you have applied ton of talcum powder on your face. Not me. I feel really bad for choosing this phone. Disappointed

  • How about the data connection ?

  • Need an update? Go to Settings >About Phone > Look for a version that you need to click 7 times to enable. New software update will be available.

  • realme 5 pro. better soc, charge speed, cameras, and batterylife.

  • how is the Data connection of this phone.

  • Do you know that redmi note 8 and realme 5 have the same soc?

  • Fyi, some realme store in ph no longer sell 8/128 due to their upcoming new release. Got mine on 4/128 variant. Doing good so far. I only play light games so im not sure with ml.

  • does realme5pro have a liquid cooling system?

  • Well I only have 2 apps, COD and ML . So far the performance is great. The thing i'm amazed the most is that you don't need to wait for a long time for the apps to load. Mostly it only takes 5-6 seconds and your ready to rock in roll. Depends on the connection. haha . Camera is also an additional feature of this phone but I just don't like the flash coz it makes the skin really red. So red its like litson. Hahaha over all the phone is real good . battery last a 8 hours w heavy gaming , charge it for an hour automatic 100% , ready for another gaming session. Also very important , the phone never gets hot . Over all I do like the phone. I would literally recommend the phone .

  • 13990 for 4gb ram and 128 price is good...but compare to Manila it's much cheaper I think

  • Does Realme phones have any issu with china rom??if it has than what are those???

  • 50 to 52 gb

  • Realme 5 pro better camera. Better soc so better performance be it gaming or in general . Faster charging it charges in around 90 minutes where as redmi note 8 takes around 120 mintes. No ads like miui of xiaomi.

  • Go for redmi note 8 pro the most affordable phone for me because the camera, gaming performance and battery. For me this phone is the best.

  • This phone is totally worth every penny spent. Good camera, good performance, hey, it got dark mode too.

  • specs wise, rm5pro.

  • How's your gaming experience. Is it worth buying? I'd like to know your personal experience about this phone. Want to buy this here at SM Bacolod for the same price P13990. Thanks in advance.

  • Realme 5 pro or Redmi note 8??? In detail please

  • Netword issue

  • Some one please suggest me good gcam with all feature working, and what are the settings I should used. I tried almost all of the gcam version, but I'm getting a grey tint image. Please help.

  • guys , need your opinion for this 3 hndphone , REALME 5 PRO , REDMI NOTE 8 PRO AND XIAOMI MI 9 LITE.. which one is better for camera and gaming .

  • guys need your help , which one better XIOAMI MI 9 LITE ,REALME 5 PRO SAMSUNG A30S.for gaming and picture

  • Did you try it on games? is it good for gaming? can you share it? thanks!

  • P13990 for 8GB - 128 GB . Got mine at ROB Dumaguete.

  • Which one better RM5PRO VS HMATE10PRO for gaming and picture? need your opinion.

  • around php 13990

  • does customer support of realme smartphone is good? thank you.

  • How much is the price of this phone in the Philippines

  • Im not receiving any updates yet, I'm from PH. when it will come?

  • It is 64 bit

  • 64

  • Is the phone has 64 bit system or 32 bit ?

  • This phone or honor 20 lite?

  • Updated now it can

  • What is the user available storage out of the 64 GB

  • Also I consider myself calling them as premium "midrange" (not premium flagship) because of them offering more feature and performance than budget midrange not because I'm comparing them to regular flagships. They're indeed more premium than this phone or the Redmis.

  • No thanks about the Redmi Note 8 Pro because I'm not looking to buy another new phone at this time.

  • Yes :(

  • Question? Is "there" an option to hide notch? Answer No. but hoping latest upcoming update. provide sitting to hide notch .

  • Update 1/1/2020

  • there is actually various you tube videos that shows how to change settings in the gcam in order to make the photos colorful check them out it's pretty easy

  • Your problem is you are trying to make a Pocophone F1 and K20 Pro considered as premium phones, but in reality both phones doesn't have premium features or price. Even the CEO of Xiaomi himself said that the Redmi brand would be focused on phones at affordable prices while the Mi brand for premium, flagship and Android One phones. So don't try to try turning the facts around and saying that Redmi phones are premium phones. The reason i mention Note 8 Pro is because I want to tell you that at similar price, Xiaomi/Redmi phones usually better than the phones from Realme.

  • Anyone receive latest update?

  • I was talking about Pocophone F1 and K20 Pro being in the "premium" midrange segment "pricing", so why are you bringing up the Redmi Note 8 Pro to me? Midrange pricing or not, those two phones are proper flagship while realme 5 Pro isn't and comparing those two with this isn't going to be fair at all.

  • Don't try to play with words even with the launch price Pocophone F1 still in the midrange category. And now both Realme 5 series and Redmi Note 8 series has similar price but overall both Redmi Note 8 / Note 8 Pro has better features and specs.

  • From several battery charging tests that are on YouTube Note 8 Pro only takes about 1 hour 50 minutes from 0% - 100% and that is not a bad result considering the Redmi Note 8 Pro battery is quite large.

  • Redmi note 8 pro takes 2.10 hours to charge full...... Way too slow man in 2019

  • Based on the specs from Realme 5 Pro for europe market the answer is yes

  • Do keep in mind that the Pocophone (brand new) and the K20 Pro both cost almost twice of the cheapest variant of the realme 5 Pro, they're obviously in the Flagship killer territory and not meant to compete with "actual" midrange phones

  • Does global version of Realme 5 Pro has B20 Network band ?

  • Pocophone F1 and Redmi K20 Pro has "midrange price" but it comes with top of the line chipsets.

  • That's not true Redmi Note 8 Pro has better camera it also can record video with the ultrawide and macro camera (you can only record video with the main camera on Realme 5 Pro). Redmi Note 8 Pro has more powerful SOC but you can argue usually Snapdragon chipsets has better support, the display on Note 8 Pro support HDR and there's also NFC so overall Note 8 Pro still a better phone than Realme 5 Pro. And don't forget Xiaomi also really good with the updates they are not the best but still better than most other brands only Nokia that are trully better than Xiaomi.

  • But how mach was mi 9t?

  • Dude if the choice is between Xiaomi Mi 9T vs Realme 5 Pro you don't need to be confused. Xiaomi Mi 9T is way better it has OLED screen that support HDR content, better chipset (SD730), more functional extra camera ultrawide and telephoto (you can also record video with ultrawide camera while Realme 5 Pro can't) and NFC.

  • RM 5 pro beat RN 8 pro in every aspect of photography.

  • Please I need some help Which is better MI 9 t or Realme 5 pro??? I am so confused

  • Considering the price then its worth to be called at. Midrange section.

  • You would think that with all this marketing (''evolution of speed''), this phone would have a top of the line processor, but no, just a mid-range 700-series one

  • Didn't support nfc

  • This phone has 4 rear camera but only the main camera that can be use to record video what a waste

  • As far as your concerns for "graphics" go, the Snapdragon processors, in any case are better than MediaTek Processors in the long run, plus, my realme 3 pro with the sdm 710 rings pubg at highest graphics by default so I am pretty sure the sdm 712 can do much better

  • Just dont prefer a phone if u are going to buy it. Atleast give a logical aspcet on how one is better than the other. And as far as gaming is concerned RN 8 PRO supports HIGHER graphics than RM 5 PRO on every game.

  • Just dont name a phone because you prefer it. Give me some logical justification on how RM 5 PRO is better than RN 8 PRO.

  • So whats ur call should I go for the RN8 PRO phone aur the RM 5 PRO

  • I think you're right; I just had a night time outing and the shots on Realme 5 Pro had everyone go WOW. The rear camera retains it's detailing all the way up to 3000 ISO and that's really special for a budget phone. In fact, I've only seen the Reno2 series that has a marginally better camera than this. And the cheapest reno costs at least 50% more than the Realme 5 Pro.

  • realme 5 pro

  • Do you have a Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro also? If you don't have, then how do you know that Realme 5 Pro is better than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro?

  • Just go to Mi store and experience the phone yourself, then you will know whether it has heating problem or not during playing games.

  • I was dazzled by the specs enumerated here especially the splash resistance and quad cameras plus the good reviews. Only I hope it has super AMOLED screen and OIS (my Asus 3 has it), it would had been a perfect middle tier phone. I also dont like the rendering of the back side, the crystal design and the metal casing of the lens. The dummy phone that I saw at the retail stores had unsightly dents on it, maybe the metal was really flimsy. The feel and the way it looks looked really cheap. But for its price, I give it a full thumbs up.

  • Yes Talha Realme 5 pro Is Better Than Rn8

  • Offcourse Realme 5 Pro. I Am Buying It

  • Does this phone have passive cooling? cause I play intensive games

  • Which one is better RN 8 pro or Realme 5 pro. My main concern is gaming and camera. Also plzz tell that the rumors of the heating issue in RN 8 PRO, are they true. I have to buy one of em this next weekend. Thanks in advance.

  • I just got this phone few days ago and I installed gcam and it works great with the selfie and night sight of the main cam but not with the normal mode and portrait mode. The shots are just so colorless it's almost black and white. Anyone knows why?

  • Dreaming is for everyone, and in case you don't know it yet, RM 5Pro and S10+ cam specs are almost alike, if you're an actual photographer using mobile phones, you can bring out the best in your gadget, well if you svck at it, even if you have the #1 cam phone in the world, your pics will always be trash

  • I just my realme 5 pro and I installed gcam. It's good with portrait and night sight however regular photos is quite bad. Anyone knows how to fix this?

  • Remember no NFC But it has the headphone jack and Dual-Sim and a microSD dedicated slot :)

  • Nice Phone with good specification.

  • What is the pros and cons of this device ?

  • Realme 5 pro better than RN 8 , better even RN note 8

  • Dreaming isn't forbidden in this world though.

  • Nice phone

  • I bought realme 5 pro the other day and Im having no regrets , play Call of duty , so smooth at HIGH settings, camera is also good even at night. Battery Is excellent

  • Is This Phone Better Then Oppo F11 Pro

  • Realme 5 pro vs galaxy a50 which one is better software build performance and more.

  • Uh.... S10+ is among top 5 camera phones of the world. Stop dreaming.

  • i just got the realme 5 pro and believe me, it is better than MTK powered redmi note 8 pro

  • pls help which one is good RN 8 pro or Realme 5 pro my concern is camera thanx in advance

  • In build quality which is better realme 5 pro or redmi note 8 pro?

  • Seriously guys the camera of realme 5 Pro is is far better than Galaxy S 10 plus I have checked it I don't know how real me make it possible

  • Damn right. It's way better than redmi but Redmi is also good too.

  • Obviously Realme 5 pro is the giant when you compare it with redmi 5 pro..... There is a huge difference..... May it be the camera.... Processor... Etc.... It is worth buying Realme 5 pro

  • Realms 5 Pro 8GB 128 GB or Redmi Note 5 Pro 6GB 128 GB?

  • which is better Realme 5 Pro or Redmi note 8 Pro?

  • Realme 5 pro or max pro m2

  • YES realme 5 pro is not getting overheat while fast charging and yes some other fast charger reach upto 45c temperature and stop charging but VOOC never go over 40c temperature

  • why does the camera have to be so thick

  • Is fast charging okay with realme 5 pro? I heard that in redmi fast charging it's not okay that it might explode??

  • If you want motorized selfie camera go for mi 9t .

  • Li-po vs Li-ion? which one is better?

  • Oh ok.. Then Get a Realme XT if that phone is available there coz it has Amoled Screen and A glass black..

  • That is a screen guard not a tempered glass just get a temepred glass from market

  • Realme 5 pro vs Mi 9T.. which 1 should i go for & what are the difference?

  • It's a plastic screen protector and I already had mine removed and replaced it with a glass one. Don't worry about removing it since this phone's screen is already protected with a GG 3+ unlike the plastic screen on the Galaxy Fold.

  • How about update os... Any problem?

  • I got realme 5 pro today, the performance (gaming, camera, system, etc.) is excellent. But I wonder if the screen is pre-installed with tempered, it looks like tempered hmm not sure, im scared if this "screen proctector-ish" is like on galaxy fold that ruins the phones display, I hope not.

  • Comparing with note 8 pro.... 8 pro takes two hours and 10 mins to charge full.... Even with fast charger its the major con

  • For all this phone Bei g a "flagship" phone, it still cannot capture videos in manual mode, disgrace, Also @gsmarena Please also mention and talk about taking videos in manual mode, it's something I never see u guys talk about and to me it's a very important feature I'm phone photography too.

  • Realme 5 pro is better..

  • realme 5 pro is better, note 8 pro is in some points better but feels fake or copy.

  • Redmi note 8 pro vs realme 5 pro which one is better in terms of performance and software ?

  • Which one is better one ui vs color os?

  • Indeed it is. Though bootloader unlock will solve all my problems with software.

  • Don't think. It's all written down.

  • is there any one who become to be a realme pro 5 developer, its a very qualified specification, but it is all not accommodated by color os... Even though there is a forum in xda (https://www.xda-developers.com/realme- 5-pro-forums / amp /)... Like the redmi series, there are lots of developers for me, miui is far more feature rich than color os

  • I thought it 5000 mah battery?

  • Yeah Mi 9T is way better that this phone, there's a lot of trade off to make but the thing in here is the availability of Xiaomi phones here in our country is limited. Its been a month since I ordered the Mi 9T but its still not delivered that's why I'm considering the 5 Pro instead.

  • Why realme 5 pro are not supported asphalt 9:legend in playstore

  • Whatever satisfies your ego man.

  • Huh? I've been saying from the start that I currently own non of them. Did you think it means I've never owned or used them? Not very bright. Yes, not hard to made a judgement when you'll use anything as argument. Just like this :)

  • Read what you said when you're in your senses. At this point, I'd say you mocked yourself. But glad to see you're finally speaking a little truth about your phone now :) Camera IS one of the biggest feature of a phone. I've only said Nokia 8.1 & 3 Pro are either better or on par with it in just about every way in real life. Be it FPS in PUBG, camera, battery or anything else you want to use your phone for. Realme 5 Pro has literally one real life advantage over them and it's the sharpness of pictures after zoom. In daylight, it's good enough to be compared with some Telephoto camera phones. But you won't need it unless you're up to no good. It's useful in concerts, but not very much since they're at night.

  • Mistake? In your dream mate. By the way I just noticed that in one post you said you didn't have either of these phones then in another you claimed you "own" them ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Let anyone else who read this be the judge.

  • Who mocked who? Your post got deleted by GSMArena means you're actually the one being passive-aggressive all the time. Oh and everytime I brought up a new argument it's always you who tried to steer away by blaming me for making excuses (when it was actually you, again). I already said I'll take what you wanna say about the camera but you just keep ignoring the fact that camera is not the only reason people buy this phone. You just don't get it do you? You keep saying that the 3 Pro is better in "every" way while that's exactly the problem with your argument that I've been trying to raise but oh no, you just gonna ignore it and go back to square one which is the "CAMERA". Oh well, enjoy the camera on whichever phone you think the best I'm not going to change your mind anymore.

  • If they're in same price range, go for MI 9T without hesitation. It's way superior than Realme 5 Pro. If possible, go for 128GB variant so you don't any Storage issues. And do make sure it doesn't have display issues.

  • I've used all of them '-' Are you done assuming things or you got more jokes? I've helped over 15 people choose their phones and I haven't been wrong once. If I take the name of a phone, I make sure I know more about it more than any shopkeeper/seller or repairman of that phone. I know my stuff. I understand you don't want to face reality because you made the mistake of buying it. That's all the time I had to waste with you. Please try not to mislead others into buying this phone.

  • Of course not. You're just proving me right. You'll use any silly argument solely based on silly presumptions rather than providing anything to counter argument any of the shortcomings I listed. I had the opportunity to buy Realme 5 Pro, Realme 3 Pro, Nokia 8.1. I've used all 3 of these phones for testing purposes for hours (especially the camera). I currently own non of them and have broken down how they compare to each other. I've no reason to be biased. And this is exactly what I mean that you're biased due to the fact you own it. You fail to provide any explanation yet you try to spam these reviews with mockery. What does that tell you about yourself? And no, there are plenty of Realme 5 Pro owners quoting the same thing about its poor camera as I did on Realme discussion forums on various websites. You just have more petty pride than they do.

  • I'd also recommend Mi 9T but currently it's not available officially on some countries including mine. If warranty, Micro SD card slot and import fees aren't a problem then yeah, it's a solid and more premium choice overall.

  • I'm laughing so hard. Seriously??? What kind of logic was that? "Owning the phone means that my opinion is biased" and therefore only the ones who "don't" own the phone can make an "unbiased" opinion??? So based on your "wonderful" logic, every reviewers around the world have "biased" opinion because they own the phone??? No, I have faith that every potential buyers of this (or other phones) WILL and ONLY listens to people who already experienced the phone, not some random anonymous who claims of having the "knowledge" of said phones despite not owning any of them. And for the last time, stop making fuss of the camera (this is a sub 200 bucks phone). People like me and some of the buyers of this phone did NOT entirely considered this phone based on the camera experience and what not. I in fact, bought this over the 3 Pro purely due to the UFS 2.1 and 128GB base storage. Yes, I actually don't care about the camera being worse than the 3 pro or not because at least it's better than my previous Asus Zenfone 5.

  • this phone is changed my life this phone is even far better than flagships now I will never change any more devices because there is no con in this phone

  • Mi 9t is a way better device than this and no i am not a mi or redmi fan lol. Its just the fact you should get mi 9t if you are willing to. :)

  • Bought Realme 5 pro and so far too good. This low budget phone could give tough time to expensive highend phones from Samsung etc. It's camera is so good in low light conditions and nightscape mode shoots so much good pics you will be amazed by the result. Found selfies taken by it even better than Galaxy s9+. VOOC charger charges my phone full from 1 percent to 100 percent in just 1 hour 15 minutes. Display is so good that even in sunlight you could read text clearly. This phone could play any heavy games available on play store without lags. The only cons this phone have it lacks LED notification light and EIS should be made available while recording in 4k mode. I will recommend to only buy this phone with 8 GB ram / 128 gb storage.

  • I'm sorry but I'm the one trying to stop you from misleading readers. Your opinion is highly biased by the fact that you own this phone - mine is based on neutral testing and I currently don't own either of the 3 phones. You've constantly only *guessed* I'm wrong while I've pinpointed the shortcomings of Realme 5 Pro camera. But you don't want to talk about that and use anything as an excuse to disagree.

  • I'm well aware of that. I'm talking about the actual price you'll pay for Nokia 8.1 here. It's same as 3 Pro, lower than 5 Pro - which are also reasonably priced.

  • Where did I compare flagships with midrange? I only you you that you could buy pretty much all of the best top 5 best camera phones in the world instead of buying so many bad phones. You can standby your statement. I've compared them side by side so I know better, and thus I shared. You're not obliged to believe me nor are your personal feelings my headache.

  • Thanks man! I am planning of getting this phone instead of Mi 9T. Mi 9T is my first choice however the phone that I ordered was not delivered.

  • Yes Gcam will work just fine in this phone as Color OS already had the Camera2 API enabled by default (unless Custom ROM is used). There's an app called Camera2 API Probe on the Play Store that can check for it.

  • Does anyone know if gcam will work on this phone? Someone here told me that it will if the camera api is enabled but how will you know if its enabled?

  • LOL, yes, NFC is "near field" and that's for a reason and that is security, that is, it's meant to be weak to avoid interception from a third party, wifi is all over the place and data can be stolen 10s of meters away without anyone noticing.

  • Don't bother with this anon anymore, I was trying to reply his so obvious one sided and misleading argument but my post ended up gone to moderation. However, it appears the anon's post (I was trying to reply) also got "moderated" as well which I think now I'd rather have my post not getting posted at all.

  • You're comparing flagships with midrangers. Even so, Vivo X21 actually has cameras that stood well with flagships of 2018. Between realme 3 pro and 5 Pro, I stand by my statement that they're difficult to distinguish in terms of rear camera but 5 Pro has better nightscape photos. I think you may be having a case of vaseline. The Realme 5 Pro has no competition in its price class.

  • Realme 5 pro Pro VOOC Flash Charge Bigger RAM and Storage cheaper price 4 cameras Cons I dunno, figure that out Best gaming budget phone

  • I don't know about that but since I said that the Nokia 8.1 or X7 is not officially available in my country, the price that appears in the online stores already includes import taxes and customs fee. Hence why it is currently even more expensive than an a50s and no I'm not joking.

  • I found Nokia 7 Plus camera to outperform iPhone 7 Plus camera, which costs several times more. Nokia has pretty good cameras.

  • Nokia 8.1 is cheaper than Realme 5 Pro here. It's priced same as 3 Pro.

  • Nokia 8.1 is not even available here and I'd expect it to cost even more than an A50s. I wouldn't bother comparing my R5P to a phone that costs almost twice of it but then again, Nokia phones at the same price range tends to underperform in the camera department of its competitors. So if Nokia device needs to be much more expensive in order to bring up its camera quality then it's fine by me since I couldn't afford them anyway.

  • Nightsight is Google's night mode, The one on Realme's camera app is called Nightscape. See this is why I prefer experienced this myself rather than listening to people who can't even bother with small details like this. If you think 5 Pro has worse low light than the 3 Pro it's your opinion but that's pretty much the only (possible) thing that's worse than the 3 Pro. Everything else either remains the same or better for almost the same price. I for once would definitely not complain because this phone already cost 25% less than the likes of A50s for instance and that's a great value already. Oh and I understand why low light is so important to you because You're from UK where the sun basically only visits there every 6 months.

  • redmi note 8 pro / redmi note 8 / realme 5 pro ?? Mediatek Helio G90T (12nm) vs Qualcomm SDM712 Snapdragon 712 (10 nm) , which better? 6gb ram vs 8gb ram, big difference?

  • I'm not sure why you would buy phones like those when you can afford decent phones. I wouldn't recommend almost any of the phones you mentioned for any reason. Especially Samsung A series. Only Samsung devices you should ever spend money on are S8 onwards and Note series. Almost all of those phones have bad cameras with the same problem: Colour accuracy and low details (or high noise in exchange of details). I don't trust you to be a good judge of cameras. If you can afford and want to experience good camera phones, go for Pixel 3, One Plus, latest iPhones (for videos), S10 Plus, P30 Pro. If you can't afford those, go for cheaper Pixel phones (priority) and Huawei P20 Pro. Regarding Nokia 8.1, if you still own it, install Gcam from Nokia 8.1 Gcam forum on XDA for best camera experience. You need to compare Nokia 8.1 and 5 Pro camera performance side by side before saying they're similar. I'm very keen about cameras and I know for fact that there's a world worth of difference between them. It's almost annoying you would say 5 Pro even comes close to Nokia 8.1. As for 3 Pro, it still captures better details while keeping noise low compared to 5 Pro. This should be very easy to confirm if you've any previously taken pics from Realme 3 Pro. Only thing 5 Pro camera beats it in is sharpness after zooming, which I'd gladly trade for details.

  • Do you mean Nightsight? It has no real life usage and good luck with colour accuracy. Low light quality doesn't mean night. It means indoors, like in your room, restaurant, office etc. No wants to keep their hand still or stay completely still before cutting a birthday cake. It can't ever beat Nokia 8.1 OIS quality. You people appear to equate sharpness of pics with details. What actually matters are details while keeping noise low, colour accuracy and ease in taking better pictures. I've thoroughly compared Realme 3 Pro, 5 Pro and Nokia 8.1 cameras. In comparison, 5 Pro has lower details and high level of noise. It's only when you've used a good camera phone do you start to notice problems in your bad camera phone. If you've doubt in what I say, I encourage you to compare their cameras side by side instead of writing a long reply that is completely based on assumption of "I don't know, but I'm sure he is wrong". Even if you lack basic understanding of cameras, I'm 100% sure you'll spot the obvious difference in details and noise management.

  • If you don't know what NFC is, your country is 10-20 years behind the rest of the world. NFC is one of the major specs people look for these days.

  • Not if you want to pay for things by phone in Europe. Nfc is essential for me. (uk)

  • vivo z1pro or realme 5 pro?

  • It doesn't says that it has NFC so why are you b*cthin about it?

  • NFC is the crappiest technology ever invented. You need to put phones together back by back to transfer data. Instead use WiFi data transfer apps like SHAREit for quick data transfer wirelessly.

  • I don't know why duckheads need amoled display when IPS display with high pixel density is so much better. Realme pro 5 is best low budget high quality phone. It only lacks an LED notification light. Other than that perfect camera and gaming phone.

  • Ofcourse realme 5 pro

  • Have some experience with the A50, has a nice smooth software but uses battery really fast also it will not charge as fast as the realme 5 pro considering A50 has 15w charging compared to realmes 20w, also the realme 5 pro lasts longer battery wise

  • Realme 5 pro is better...

  • Software wise, Samsung One UI is better than ColorOS. And go with A50 if you need NFC. But Realme 5 pro offers better spec for the price, and you get more storage (128GB) for less. A50 base is only 64GB, and it's already more expensive than Realme.

  • anyone help me to choose samsung a50 or realme 5 pro

  • eh, id go broke

  • i dont use camera anyway so id use the realme 5 pro because its cheaper

  • Dude, there's a night mode available for a reason. Also I wouldn't take a word from someone who only judges a photo quality by just like looking at random samples someone else took. My previous phone was an Asus Zenfone 5 and it has OIS, it takes good low light picture but now I'd consider the 5 Pro takes even better low light picture despite having no OIS. Oh and turning on Nightscape just blasts my Zenfone 5 out of competition. Looking at the minimal price difference between the 3 Pro and the 5 Pro assuming the potential buyer has owned neither, I'd still highly recommend the latter because of better performing internal storage (eMMC 5.1 vs UFS 2.1), larger base storage (at least in my country which is 128GB in the 5 Pro and half on the 3 Pro) and slight boost in performance. I don't think there's any difference in build quality between the two as both have full plastic build aside from the gorilla glass covering the display but the 5 Pro has more heft to it.

  • Do realme 5 pro battery works better?

  • Dear friend, I use phones primarily for camera. I have used HTC flagships, Galaxy A series, LG G series/V series, Oppo's best, Vivo's X-series, what not. The Realme 3 Pro and 5 Pro click images really close to each other except in night mode, because for some reason there's a better algorithm in the 5 Pro that's probably fixable in software for the 3 Pro. The front camera on 5 Pro is better, but I'd rather say there's not a world of difference between the phones and the two extra lenses on the 5 Pro aren't really a big deal. But both the 3 Pro and 5 Pro click images easily on par with the Oppo F11 Pro and Vivo V15 Pro at the very least. And those two phones have very, very good cameras. And yes, Realme 3 Pro and 5 Pro have the best cameras for the price and definitely better than any Samsung A-series (except A8x, A9x).

  • Yes. Both the Pro and vanilla versions are using UFS 2.1 as stated in the official website. Here in Indonesia the 5 Pro also available in 128 GB with 4GB and 8GB RAM. No Crystal Blue color option here, the color options currently available are Crystal Green and Sparkling Blue (Gradation from Blue to Purple) ... =)

  • 5 Pro has better performance. P30 Lite has better cameras.

  • Nokia 8.1 has OIS which makes a world of difference in indoor/lowlight picture quality - which is the light condition you'll use your camera the most. Install Gcam and you're good to go. 5 Pro will never beat it. I've seen 5 Pro pictures and they're really really bad in lowlight. All Realme phones struggle in lowlight, except Realme 3 Pro. Not sure about 2 Pro. Trust me, all these people trying to justify 5 Pro lowlight camera performance are lying / don't know how to judge pictures or have never used a good camera phone in their lives. It's a pride thing for them. They don't want to admit it.

  • I've never seen Xiaomi devices providing up to mark performance. Pocofone F1 performance falls short of other SD 845 phones and only competes with SD 835 phones. Redmi Note 7 has SD 660 and yet Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 with SD 636 play games better than it. But Realme 5 Pro is not a good phone either. I seriously advise you to buy Realme 3 Pro, X or Nokia 8.1 over it. They've same performance and even better built quality and cameras.

  • how much ram and internal storage is avaialable?

  • Did you guys forgot to mention UFS 2.1 in Realme 5 Pro or it doesn't has it? And What if i say there is a 4GB 128GB version of Realme 5pro in Pakistan, would it be a lie?

  • Yes, that's the name of this smartphone. Yes, we know you can read and type out words. Keep it up.

  • If you want phone for gaming xiaomi k20 or mi9tpro is good but if you want cheap price so you better buy realme 5pro

  • Touch is not much smooth as found in other brands and some features are missing like Font style gallery management, bettery drains faster ,more while in night without using the phone.. camera is nice for the price .

  • Realme 5 Pro

  • realme 5 pro

  • Better you get the mi 9t pro/k20 pro bro

  • If you want a real gaming phone, just buy the new redmi series of xioami Redmi note pro that phone was built for extreme or heavy online games. You should consider Huawei Nova 5T. It is better for gaming too.

  • Malaysia selling 8+128 version_RM1099

  • realme 5 pro better, both price and performance wise

  • Anyone can help me choose between realme 5 pro or mi 9 lite. I am not camera lover but mid-gamer. Thank you..

  • chose Snapdragon 730 or higher Redmi K20/ Mi 9T is better

  • Please suggest me for heavy gaming, is this good for gaming or not, please guide, thanks in advance

  • Having used both Realme 3 Pro and Realme 5 Pro, I'd like to say the back cameras are almost as good in both phones but 5 Pro clicks much better night mode photos. In terms of front camera, the Realme 5 Pro is a clear winner. The macro lens isn't very useful but the ultra wide lens is. The build quality of both phones is the same, in fact they share the same display panel and middle frame. Only the back part and PCB is different.

  • Which camera is better, realme 5 pro or Nokia 8.1?

  • Need opinion. Honor 9x or Realme 5 Pro? Why?

  • Realme 5 pro is better then huawei p30 lite in terms of performance, camera etc.

  • I suggest you to buy P30 Lite. I have the same phone. LOL

  • Why people are comparing Realme 5 pro with Redmi note 7???Realme 5 pro is not competator of Redmi note 7. It is competator of Redmi Note 8/8 pro series.. Realme 5 pro is much much much better then Redmi note 7.....

  • Huawei P30 Lite (6GB/128GB) or Realme 5 Pro (8GB/128GB)? Both these have the same price in Indonesia and I'm confused what to buy. Someone please reply asap

  • This is an example of blind Haters. It has type-c if you even bother reading and the performance is better than note 7. Just because note 7 is better in multicore doesn't mean it's better. Realme5 pro crush note in gpu performance.

  • Its gorilla glass 3+ not 3

  • Your problem is solved. Buy Realme XT with amoled and glass back

  • Unfortunately the Redmi Note 8 Pro hasn't been released in Indonesia. There has been no news about its release here, and I'm looking forward to its release here. I'm also considering the P30 Lite

  • You'd be better off going with the redmi note 8 pro. About 30 quid more but a lot more power, better camera (64mp) and this phone using gorilla glass 3 while the redmi note 8 pro uses gorilla glass 5. Design wise, very similar but a bigger screen as well on the redmi note 8 pro. Also, no NFC on this phone but the redmi note 8 pro has it. The Helio processor on the redmi has been shown to be more powerful than the Snapdragon 730 and quite close to the 845. You get more bang for your buck with the redmi.

  • Good phone for student like me? Looking for a phone with long lasting battery life, decent performance and good for long term use..

  • Very good phone with best price quad camera fast charging 👍😁

  • I feel like the need to point you out because what that person has said are mostly half correct. I've been a R5P user for less than a week and I don't think the camera is terrible let alone worse than R3P (which is one of his recommendations). It has plastic build but not necessarily fragile unless against scratches of course. Stock Android doesn't necessarily provide better gaming experience especially when they do not have a built in game enhancer which I found very useful to prevent disturbances. Lastly If you want a phone for gaming in long term, I'd strongly suggest getting any with good SoCs, at least UFS 2.1 and a decent cooling solution. The last one is crucial in maintaining performance because no matter how advanced a mobile SoC is, heat will always cause throttling. Considering the minimal price difference between R3P and R5P (at least in my country) I'd definitely take the latter solely due to the UFS 2.1 on the 5 Pro.

  • thks for your information.

  • First off all, don't buy Realme 5 Pro. It's a bad phone with terrible camera in indoor light and at night. Its built quality is second weakest of all Realme phones, after Realme 5. Secondly, your friend is wrong. I've used phones for 5 years without any performance drop and still handle games as they did before. Just don't update your phone unless necessary. They make phones slower in updates to make you buy new phones. Thirdly, Snapdragon 710, 712, 730 have slightly more powerful GPU compared to Kirin 980. However, KIRIN chipsets come with a buffer that allows them to pull stable FPS in games compared to other chipsets. So they're about same. Fourth of all, pure android phones like Nokia 8.1 offer better performance. You can also buy Nokia 8 with Snapdragon 835, which can handle PUBG on Ultra HD (maximum graphics), but it has smaller screen. I suggest to pick from Nokia 8, Nokia 8.1, Nova 5T and Realme 3 Pro. Realme X is also fine. Haven't looked into XT yet.

  • Is this able to lock 4g lte only.. ?

  • Is this r5p able to lock 4G LTE Only..?

  • still IPS display? no thanks

  • you want to play games invest into asus rog 2

  • nearly every oems rom suck. too much iphone-clone, not optimized enough, aggressive memory killing, and not to mention the slow updates, both main version and security one. so yeah, custom rom in 2019 are still relevant. you could get more performance, better security, reliability, and stability. not to mention the gsi scene are thriving well.

  • custom rom in 2019 ? are you kidding ?

  • Which one better for long term (3-5 years) and used for games (rpg and moba) between realme 5 pro and huawei nova 5T? My friend said mid end chipset only work best for gaming for 2-3 years after that it wont work well. I want to upgrade my samsung J2 prime since it doesnt works well since 1 year ago. Please answer anyone.

  • Really very good phone camera quality is too good ...

  • Redmi note 8 pro doesnt even have AMOLED

  • Oh yeah bro. Cuz redmi note 8 pro still used mediatek

  • If this has OLED then what's the point of the XT then?

  • This pro version should have Amoled. How can you call a it a pro if it has LCD screen?

  • You must notice that this phone is about 180 EUR and Redmi Note 8 Pro is about 290 EUR

  • From my opinion Realme 5 Pro is better than Redmi note 8 pro for me as day to day usage having a MIUI which have a chinese UI is hard to use and also the voice talk like google is hard especially if u don't know chinese thats why i prefer Realme 5 Pro even if the processor is mid range.

  • No!!! You wrong, Colour OS is much better then MIUI because it has no spamy adds. And Realme Community also working on their own os.And i think, Realme 5 Pro is far better then Redmi Note 8 PRO...

  • Redmi Note 8 is far better. BTW colorOS is pure shit

  • still ColorOS and no nfc? what insane, redmi note 8 pro better

  • Realme XT has Samoled and 16 mp selfie....

  • yes

  • Is it the green one in the video and display pictures? It looks more blue than green.

  • The 32mp(Samsung's sensor) camera is not necessary because it is having Sony's 16mp which is good than Samsung's sensor

  • It needs 32mp front camera and 5000 mah battery

  • It is the opposite bro

  • I am not agree with the pricing as in China they launch in 10k & in India is 14k .....40% gap on price is cheat with us...plz realme gives more aggressive price in India otherwise.....but still value for money....but we expect more from realme

  • This seems like a really nice phone and it even has UFS 2.1 storage. I am just a bit worried about ColorOS. What is the development community like on Realme phones? Would there be much support for custom ROMs like LineageOS?

  • can anyone confirm if this one is for china only and the Q for rest of the wold or its the opposite ?

  • Weird...

  • Yes bro u are the only one bcoz 4 cmras in a row, in one camera bump, looks amazing and cool.

  • 180 euro for realme 5 and 130 euro for realme Q?

  • Excellent camera and zoom in daylight. Zoom quality is as good as telephoto camera phones. But VERY poor camera in medium light (inside house) and at night. The quality drops by 50%. Without daylight, its camera is as good as Realme 3 (or worse).

  • where's the new UI that they're talking about?

  • dude, this not a flagship, flagship was X series from realme, this still pocket friendly dude

  • please realme sell your devices here in saudi..oppo has already selling theirs but why realme are not???

  • They most likely mean that the screen has a low quality anti-fingerprint coating that doesn't really help with greasy hands. You'll notice this if you compare a true flagship phone to any of these " flagship killers", your fingerprints will be easily visible even when the screen is on. Also, particles seem to stick to the screen a bit more.

  • What is the SAR value ?

  • Best all-rounder only missing SAMOLED display & selfie 32mp then killer

  • Amazing phone I will purchase this mobile-only. I like two websites to check the phone review one is GsmArena and second is GadgetsMonk

  • The review said "... the screen does well in the brightest of day... That is if the glass is not smudged up... ". In the review of 3 Pro, there's also " ... general tendency to get all smudged up." Is there any real Realme user here? Any comment on that?

  • You don't need to guess lol. Just check if the phone supports the network bands used in your area

  • Purchase from online. If does not support then return.

  • Google it

  • Waterproof ,???????

  • Yes it will definitely work

  • waiting for the review from you guys.

  • Is realme 5 pro has dual 4g and dual volte

  • If I bought this phone in india. *Then it supports or works in nepal?? I mean this phone supports neplese simcard? I am from nepal and I am going to buy this phone from india next week.

  • Nah it has a curved screen thats as bad as a quad camera that has the half lenght of the phone itself

  • Buy uglier s8 instead.

  • Weird

  • Mebe you need to factory reset?

  • Go realme 5 instead. It has lipo 5000mah battery

  • As of 25 August 2019, 1 US dollar is equal to 71.51 Indian Rupees

  • Battary not good

  • 75 inr for 1 dollar

  • Lol every phone now got eis even samsung A50

  • Front cam has also eis.... OmG... Realme my love

  • 71 inr is 1 usd

  • can you please convert INR to dollar please, how many INR is equivalent to 1 dollar thank you in advance who can answer my questions

  • Nope. No stereo setup or Dolby comes with this handset, my friend.

  • Yes you are the only one.

  • Am I the only one that thinks the long 4 camera looks ugly? Both Galaxy A9(2018) and Realme 5 Pro have a weird rear

  • Does it have 4G+?

  • Is it having stereo speakers or dolby?

  • Oppo does

  • Better Realme 5 pro for camera bro

  • Who's the manufacturer for this?

  • how's the signal connection on this one?

  • which has better camera realme 5 pro vs realme 3 pro?

  • still RN7 & RN7 PRO better choices bcuz of lower prices

  • What do you mean by lightweight? Realme 3 Pro pulls 40-60 FPS on HDR graphics in PUBG.

  • Why is everyone so complaining about Realme 5 Pro? It has all the basic needs that i wanted in a phone.. Good camera Good processor Triple slot Bigger battery Good display Decent OS Type C with fast charging Latest look and trend Cheapest price. I don't care about Amoled panel (if there is, then that's awesome). Protection should have been atleast gorilla glass 5, i only optional con i could say. At ₹13,999, this is the best allrounder smartphone available in india now.

  • GSMARENA review this one please

  • If it has only NFC function and at least 32MP or up dual or front cam, it will be the best specs 😂😅

  • Realme X has Amoled display which is way better than the IPS LCD display you get on the 5 pro. Also, you get the 48mp camera in Realme X as well, along with some other added features like under display finger print scanner, pop up selfie camera etc. So Realme X is definitely a better choice.

  • Wait for realme xt

  • realme x vs realme 5 pro? I am really liking the 5 pro but how its display fare against the realme x? Is it good enough?

  • um..I just bought my new phone in retail. but why is it already scattered in the box ?

  • If guy is light or mid user,I think realme 3 pro is good for daily user already. No need rush buy when new model coming out.I am waiting for 5G smartphone...

  • this kind of question always make me laugh

  • Please tell me how to activate always on display in IPS display! TIA

  • People want a perfect phone but they don't wanna shell out huge amount of money. Shut up guys if you cannot settle for a low price with imperfections. Complain if the price is very high yet you guys are not satisfied with the features and performance.

  • You can, but on a IPS panel it makes no sense actually

  • it has always on display?

  • But do you want a flagship price tag too?

  • when malaysia will release

  • Shame for Realme. It’snothing new. Note7pro is better... In his price range. Not a major different in this time.

  • nice joke tho ^_^

  • Really realme? You have dissapointed me. This is the pro version, why still wanna be cheap, just put OLED screen and gorilla glass 5 on it. I'm really looking froward for this phone. But better not this one. Better wait for Mi A3 Pro then, similar price range. Specs also not much different.

  • why they don't have provided amoled display? In realme x it is

  • still.... no NFC

  • Realme On Its way to defeating all Other brands Soon.

  • no

  • Kudos! Realme. Midrange Phone with this flagship level look. 4 cameras, SD712. Can't expect more in this price range.

  • Most perfect phone in mid baget. The phone has everything for in medium budget. The phone has everything that we want in a cheaper rate. I like the phone.

  • con 1. micro usb in 2019 seriously...!! 2. plastic body 3. gorilla glass 3 i think not 7 pro is better than realme 5 pro.. There is no upgrade without only for extra 2 camera . 😂😂😂😂ð;Ÿ˜‚

  • Seriously 720p960fps ????????? OMG realme x K.O low budget :D

  • What is the SAR value for this phone?

  • What you expect more at this price range foor?

  • I know OLED is your religion , you were never the target audience for this go get the realme x line This is what i dont understand about your logic what does it not having an oled make their claims of it being camera centric less credible???????? Oled worship is real serious man

  • Google pixel has single camera but leads this types racing industry of number of cameras

  • A device priced at around 14K has only Gorilla glass 3+. Come on Realme. I know youa re not ASUS to provide Gorilla glass 6 but even the phone's predecessor Realme 3 pro has Gorilla Glass 5. LCD instead of OLED is purely a deal breaker even though you publicise as a camera centric phone.

  • battery...

  • Depends, can the honor 9x Fortnite?

  • I wish it had an AMOLED Screen. For the price this is a great buy. However, if you have the Realme X there is absolutely no reason to buy this. 10% Performance gains over the 710 SoC isn't going to make any real life difference. I am using a 2 year ld Honor 8 pro and the SoC on it is still very capable to handle anything you throw at it I wish Realme includes the following features in its upcoming XT. 1) Telephoto Lens 2) Stereo speakers 3) AMOLED Display with HDR Support 4) An official IP Rating

  • Is realme phone have led notification and have second space like feature? Thx

  • I know, right? This entire phone is built just to lure in people that don't know anything about phones. There is no reason to buy it over Realme 3 Pro. I've never seen a 2MP depth sensor work well for Edge Detection in Main Camera. It should have been in selfie camera or 5MP for main camera. Secondly, the main camera has f/1.8 aperture and 0.8um. It can't beat Realme 3 Pro in capturing details nor low light performance and is even worse than Realme X. 2MP macro camera is acceptable because it's for very close subjects. It has SD 712 which handles games similar to SD 710. There is no notable difference in even SD 730 compared to SD 710. They used a more expensive chipset for marketing reasons. It's sad to see Realme jump this bandwagon because once brands start doing this, they never stop.

  • i wish it was an amoled screen 😔😔😔&#128532; and glass back i was redy to pay 230$ for that instead of 190$ honor 9x will b good option compared to this phone

  • nice

  • NOT a deal breaker. There's so much more in this phone than just having a microUSB.

  • Everything is great for such little money but those two 2MP cameras, are they even working?
