ive ended up dropping the siemens A65 and totally smashed the inside screen the phone itself is fine i just cant see anything....my problem is that ive been getting texts and even when i have put the sim into my new phone it must have saved them onto that phone, i really need to get them as its a work phone has all my contacts and those messages i need. is there a way of getting them? or can some one send me what button does what so i can guess what im pressing and then forward them to my new number? please please help me!! i just need to know i get from main screen to my inbox then how far i scroll down on options to get to forward!!

very basic, not many features but it is the most rugged and reliable phone I have ever owned. while other phones come and go in my home this is the one everyone relies on when theres breaks. battery lasts for days. if you want a phone just to make and receive calls with no fancy stuff....this is virtually impossible to beat

I've had one for 3 years but it got stolen 2 days ago. Siemens mobile doesn't exist anymore so I bought a Samsung. After a day I feel like throwing it against the wall! Went on Ebay and bought me a new Siemens A65. Best phone ever made in my opinion. User friendly interface, you can drop it as hard as you can, it just keeps on working!

I use this phone at the moment and I find it to be as has been mentioned, a good basic phone. I've had it almost two years and it still works. But there are downsides: In my case the phone is quite small and falls out of my pocket a lot which often results in the cover and battery flying off in all directions and under things. The buttons take a long time to respond to being pressed which means I have to wait a long time for it to turn on or off, to get into menus or to type a text. The battery doesn't seem to last as long as it used to, maybe a little over a day on average. The ringtones are poor and there are three pretty average wallpapers (although I do prefer the sleeping Mexican wallpaper) A good phone if you aren't interested in technology and want something very basic.

it's a good phone.i've got one about 2 years ago..i dnt really know why it is of lesser if compared with the other brands in the market, but based on experience i know that this is a very durable brand..it may not be as stylish as other brands do, but it performs better than the rest..

Best basic phone ever made. Had it over 2 years and counting, never ever crashed or faltered once. Dropped it a million times and the charge lasts for days and days. They don't make them like this anymore! I'll be using this until it finally wears out, I'll bet that's a few years away yet.

I have just flicked through the comments and I cannot believe some clever person has said that this phone "looks unreliable". I have had my A65 for 3 or 4 years and abused it terribly - it lives in my pocket with the car and house keys. I have dropped it for a passtime - I even threw it to a passing yacht in a race. The other sailor missed it and it 'exploded' into about 4 pieces on deck. He put it together and asked me where he could get a phone like this. I have just replaced it as it is now so scratched-up (keys) but I am really attached to this phone. Plain (although handsome), low-tech (if any mobile could be), no camers - sure, but PLEASE not unreliable. I contemplated buying a new one to replace old one, but I need a change. I will probably regret it.

Siemens may already be obsolete, but i've had this phone for 3 years now and i've probably dropped it hundred times. yet, i still got no problem with it! a very basic phone and once you've got the hang of the texting features, it's a really comfortable phone to type messages in. Wish other more popular brands of today follow suit and produce durable phones like this.

I have had this phone for 18 months and its been a reliable phone. Features are non existant with no expandable memory, BUT, it makes and recieves phone calls, is reliable and good on battery. Its been dropped many times and apart from a few scratches still works as good as new. The alarm never fails to wake me either. Ideal if you want a phone to last and to make phone calls

I've had my A65 for a couple of years and it has never let me down. Once when I was cycling it fell out of my pocket onto the street so hard that the battery ended up six feet from the rest of the phone: I clipped it back together and it still works perfectly. Minuses: the keypad lock operates with a long press on the bottom right key, so it can be released accidentally if kept in a trouser pocket. Also the standard ringtones are a bit naff. But reliability, ease of use, reception, voice clarity and battery life are all excellent. You'll not get a better basic phone.

I've been using this phone two years ago, and just returned to it at the moment coz my fancy touchscreen-mp3-camera-phone doesnt want to work anymore. A65 is a simple phone, working well for calls and text messaging, but no extra fancy features. The battery life is very good, lasts about 3 days or more without charging. The phone construction is well done too. Highly recommended for the simple tasks of calling and texting.

Got it as gift. Not a bad performer really. But I had problems configuring gprs and mms. But once it worked no problems. Battery lasts 3 days. Nice and small and fits in the pocket...I also have the data cable. Works with my laptop. Plan to retire it for a blue tooth device

While i was serving in the Armed forces (due to the advent of camera phones, such phones were deemed to be a security issue, thence we were only allowed to bring in non-camera phones) This phone proved to be a very reliable and trustworthy partner, especially out on those cold, lonely nights when all i had to comfort myself was this little gem that i had securely placed in one of my pouches. Its battery life was quite good, enough to span my 3 day exercises. It was discrete and simple, no fanciful gadgetry or colours. Just a low profile, simple package that enabled me to keep in contact with my loved ones. What i loved most about this phone was its versatility in choosing profiles. And of course, its hardiness. All that outfield exercises (water-proofed of course) did not bother this phone one bit. At the end of the day, i could always look forward to reading messages from loved ones to keep me going. Messaging is simple, fast and effective. Due to its simple software design, i could get a long message out within a minute. Moreover, what i liked best about this phone was that regardless whether your phone's inbox was full or otherwise, the message will still be sent out (unlike my current phone, Motorola E398, which pisses me off greatly) Overall, a very very basic colour phone. But if you need something that is cheap, reliable and hardy, this is it. I will use it anytime, anywhere. =) I have since retired this phone since i left the service and it has pride of place in my cupboard, still filled with all the messages i've kept from my army days. =) Oh and BTW, it was a gift from my brother to me during my recruit days in Basic Military School. =)

You can record songs and music by pressing the record option in menue... But first u have to see that u phone memory is full or not... If it is full than simple delete some sound track for free space.....

We have hardly used this as it is for my Husband who is mobile phone averse, however he is starting radiotherapy and we need this to work and so will need picking up etc, for some reason it won't charge, plugged in the screen stays blank, any ideas?

I've just stopped using my Seimens A65. I have never had any problems with it and found it a reliable little gem to have in my pocket. I only ever used my phone for emergencies only, and this is a basic phone that does the job without all the fancy gadgets. I think it only ever crashed about 2ce in the long time that I had it. It has now retired as my spare phone as I now use an LG U8120 which I adore too. I like the funky red that my A65 came in instead of the boring silver or black that most phones come in (like my LG!). All in all a great little phone. It wouldn't do for anyone who wants gizmos on the phone, however, like I said before, it is a basic phone, but with basic comes reliable. The less you have, the less that goes wrong!

Have had some problems with the texting on mine... haven't been receiving some that were sent to me, and some of mine don't get sent even though the "message sent" thing appears. Can supposedly send 2 or 3 part texts, but whenever I try they never go through so I have to try to condense all of my texts into like 100 characters which is annoying. Battery life is not very long and sound quality isn't the greatest especially with long distance

Purchased the A-65 to replace my C-56. Liked the C-56 better as it was far easier to understand and more importantly, the old C-56 screen could be easily seen by my ageing eyes when not lit. The A-65 screen is next to impossible to read when not lit and that picture menu on the A-65 must've been designed by idiots for idiots. Overall assessment: Wasted my 100 bucks on the A-65.

Had it for only 10 months, am a lightish user and it is crap! Was originally a nice red phone. It is breaking down gradually with fading screen, all scratched up (much more than previous phones I had much longer, the screen light is faltering, time has gone wrong, switches itself off for no apparent reason...would not recommend unless you need a cheap short-term phone!

This phone is absolutely horrendous, I have had a lot of phones and this is by a MILE the worst I have ever used. Poor graphics, minimal features and last but not least awful games. Unfortunately for me it is a company phone so I cannot change/sell it. Having had it almost 2 months I still cannot work out how to change the ringtone, and I dont think anyone else who works with me can either - everyone has the same ringtone so when I'm in the office and someone's phone rings we're all searching in our bangs unable to tell if its ours or not!

re: masudur rehman if its a software problem then how yuo install the software makes a difference on alot of these phones. incl. A65. for example yuo have to insatll the driver for the phone prior to installing the driver MPM. if under the device connections there is an exclaimation mark then right click and reinstall the driver. seemed to have worked for me. hope this helps

I love the black digital screen when it goes onto standy makes the screen look really classy. by the way there is a menu for a camera, is there a camera out there for this phone that you can attach.

I have had 5 mobiles; this is my first Siemens. Comparing with the Sony Ericson (about same price), I chose the A65 for the camera. After much exploration, I find that I like the look and feel of A65. The features I really like are "big letters" and ringtones and connectivity and of course intelligent typing (T9).

Good basic phone. No advanced PIM features (calendar, appointments, notes, etc.). Small and light. Good solid key presses, although hard to see the side keys on the keypad in the day due to the colour of the keys. Quick to respond. No auto-keypad lock. Cannot change the volume of ringtones while being played, volume can only be changed in the ringer volume. I like the Siemens interface as you can configure almost all the keys to activate a feature by holding them down, as most phones they simply speed dial a number. The best feature of the Siemens range. All in all, I'd prefer the Sony Ericsson t290i as it has some more PIM features, which I use a lot. Same price...

Really like the phone, battery life isn't great but it will last several days if you don't use it too often. However, when I first received the phone it wouldn't charge up at all. I sent it back and got a replacement. The new phone worked fine for a couple of weeks and then started to do the same thing. Has anyone else experienced problems like this?

anyone who wants to download the calendar application can browse the wap and download the application for free or for a price (eg. from tagtag.wap)..I am quite sure that you can download this application for C55; but I guess that also goes for A65. glad if I could help

i have this phone for a couple of months.ill tell u the bad sides. it is slow.i cant rush through the menu.sometimes it doesnt repond,most of the time when i try to work too fast with it.it is a bit weak in network detection. cz i had probs with it while talking..like the voice of the other person sometimes gets cut and stays silent for 5-6 secs.though it may b for a bad network.. but i didnt have those probs with samsung or nokia on the same network.standby time low. inly 1 day.a rather too easy or simple interface i would say..missing a lot of neccesery options.last bad thing that it doesnt have a calender. the good is that it is really easy to operate.looks gud.ringtones sound nice. 1 cool feature is sms archive. i can store over 500 sms until the memory runs out.display is bright and clear. this phone is for those who r happy with less.

a65 is a good mobile in very cheap price but it didnt have any calender.battery time is very low but if we decrease illumination battery time will icrease but not enough.when we come in daylight visibilty of the mobile extremly low.sound of the mobile is low vibraion is good enough.after all i like it

Great phone for this price! It can PLAY WAV files - so you can put fragments of your favorite songs in it as ringtones! It's colour(4000 colours)! The bad thing is that it lacks of reminder and callendar (so don't believe everything that websites say!). ++ - plyas wav (IMA ADAPCM 16Kbit 8bit mono) ++ - Jpeg, gif..whatever ++ - no glitches ++ - simple! -- - some missing features, which will never be noticed if you don't have time to stare at your mobile -callendar and reminder. -- - you can't set vibration on or off only for incomming calls - vibration setting is global (even for alarmclock). I bought it for $90 - i think it's worth it. It battery lasts about 6 days and a half (if you don't leave it playing your favorite ringtone for hours)! it's capacity is about 1.9 megabytes which is just enough for 10 (or more) wav ringtones - 10 seconds each, 10-20 pictures. (i forgot to tell that i deleted wappo game and Photoeditor - i don't need them - so i can use the freed space). As i red in allsiemens.ru - "The more money you spend on a mobile phone, the more you realize that it's basic function is .. RINGING!" - really wise!

a smart looking and graceful monile.if u cant afford j200 then better bye this instead of going for any other mobile.yes its true that its battery timing is poor but if you use it in a right way for a month its battery will improve definatly..!!! any body can tell me that which java games r supported in it(the format) and where to download it from (web site)? and will i be able to download it from my ufone wap? plz help me... this site will help the users to get there favourite stuff right through there mob (using wap).... :) enjoy

I am from Karachi pak. I bought this phone yesterday. Best phone for this price. But if u are looking for high ring tones spend rs 1000 more and get a sony erricson J200i. Else everything is good. Alarm rings even if the set is in off position.Processing speed is not good.NO calendar.Colors and screen is excellent.Hope that downloads can be done properly, i havent tried as yet.

battery timing is not two good, it last for 3 days in case, its illumination is only 10%, other wise u need to recharge the phone after 24 hrs..... :(

Every body, really cool phone, i was looking to buy the siemens A60, but when i saw that phone on the show room of Siemens, i jusy picked it with out thining any thing else, and i have just turned it on, 5 hr ago after recharging, i am browsing its functions, and plying games from that moment, This phone really rocks, Every thing cool, speaker, GPRS, Ring tones , speacially I liked the tone "PCB" , Awosome phone, in so much low prise a color mobile, my fiends are really amazed to hear , ,,,,, but i just missed one thing in it, Does this phone have any calender, i mean reminder or organizer, if some one knows pls tll me..... I will give this mobile 9 out of 10, one point reducted due to calender :P
