This phone is actually great. I had a phone like this about 3 years ago. But i have used it for 4 years and its amazing that it didn't require me to have a maintaainance for this phone. But its battery life is so short that i have to charge it every 5 hours. TAKE NOTE: without using it!! But this phone is so good..I like to have one again..:))

I actually own one, well the CV version, first time I got it was in 2004 and it still works pretty well, the only issue I had with it was the short life spam of the battery, changed like 2 since then, and it's been used till 2008, less often after that

Yes, it's very good and strong, I've use it for 7 years, can you believe? But the battery power leaks too quickly, I have to recharge it nearly everyday.

your right, Ive been using my cv65 for nearly 5 years and i still love it. battery does go flat quite quickly though. Its the only mobilr ive ever owned and still no plans to replace it.

bought this for $20, with the DCA510 cable. after some Vklay-ing, now the phone has 14MB memory, run Opera Mini 5 beta flawlessly, and play full song track after converting it to IMA ADPCM 8Khz. The keypad is good for fast texters like me, except the small "2" that gets too close to the Wap key. Cons including the battery life, but overall, I recommend this phone.

this is all the person who think they are professionist in gsm. this phone has came out in 2004. in that year the goodest phone was sony ericsson k300i, wich isn't so different. the only difference is becaue k330i has mp3. but for that year this was a good phone, trust me..

Unfortunately, it is plagued with horrible bugs that most users were dissatisfied and moved onto some other set. Some well known bugs are: i) Hangs when searching names in sub category of address book. ii) Poor rendering of web pages on screen. iii) Very low battery life. iv) Auto shutdown, as battery easily gets displaced. Although, its production is discontinued but it did provide some sweet times for those first generation buyers.

To be Honest. I hate this phone! It is a peace of crap. Just have a look at the phone it is painful to the eyes even to look at. The functions on this phone is very bad. The camera is no good, I wouldn't even call it a camera phone. Have you ever tried texting with this phone?? I would say it is a mission impossible to even think about trying to text on this phone. They make is so hard, that you are better off just ringing the person. It will save you hours- instead of trying to send one text. I really don't know how any person on this planet can say anything nice about this phone. If you have this phone I feel sorry for you. I say take out your sim card & throw away this phone. Out of all the phones ever made in this world, this phone IS the worst of them all. Don't buy this phone, and if someone even tried to give you this phone for free, just say "no thank you". Or throw it away when that person is not looking.

Uh, to watch 3gp videos in c65, you need to change the phone language to indonesia, then go to 'pengaturan/setting', go to 'mengatur tel.' then open the 'duk. memori'. choose the videos and watch. enjoy! then you can change the language to normal. sorry for the last post. i mean before this.

Try use file manager. if dont work use the other file manager. in setting then search the ... memory .,[sorry i forgot,] then go to directory you save the 3gp videos. or you can search the app in tegos[dot]ru or search other place. you stupid if not look for the method.

This was my first camera phone. I really liked it. I bought it on February 2005 and I had it for 10 months before I bought a Nokia 6230. It was great and still the friend who bought me this C65 have it. It's a very durable phone, my only complain was batery cover which cracked like 2 months before I bought the 6230. The features were great for low end phones like the Irda and 10mb of memory. At the time when I bought it I was planning on buy this, Nokia 3220 or Motorola C650 and I never regret to choose this over the other two. Only the camera was worse but had betterfeatures than the other phones. It was also cheaper than Nokia and Moto.

My old phone. :D I ran it for about 20.000 hours :D Its camera quality and battery was weak but all the other functions was better than its level of phones when first announced. It had 1.5 MB of Java heap memory which even some of the todays smart phones don't have. It can run applications with 5 MB size, unlike some of the Nokia's smartphones which just could'n install the application. You can even see the duration of all the calls... It was one of the best phones of its category and time.

If your phone is locked. Then you will have to Ring up Siemens some how & they might be able to help you out. If you have no luck, then your better off buying a new phone. Try Nokia, they are 1 of the top phones. Good Luck.

Just to be R.E.A.L. This phone is a peace of junk. The whole phone is wack. Can any1 find a phone that is harder to use? It takes forever to do the basics, call or text. There is like 10 steps 4 everything. -Not like any Nokia phone, just press the button 2 times & its done. I wouldn't pay $5 for this phone.

I had ever bought this phone since 1 year ago and used it just for few months then I changed to N7610. Its antenna not a good signal catcher and sometimes it couldn't sent the sms if your finger cover it.

I have this one too! It's perfect and it does everything I've ever needed. I can tweak just about all the keys, menus and shortcuts. The thing I like most is the ease that I can install java software and programs. I can control everything on it. People I know with other phones like Motorola and Nokia have to go through a lot just to install something, if they ever can. The only thing that I have to complain about is the battery life. But after 3 years it's normal to be short. I'm really sorry for having to change for a new one as soon as possible.

I've had this phone for about 3 years and I'm thinking of buying a new one just because the joystick isn't working very well. Besides that, it's wonderful! Of course it's old so it doesn't have many cool features, but I use it for mobile phone stuff(calls + sms) and some games (WC time) and I can still make the battery last about 3 to 4 days. I've been trying to find a new phone, more or less with the same specs but a bit smaller or lighter and something else with the same price tag as this one, when it was new (150eur) and all I read about the new phones is firmware bugs and breakable keys and batteries that last (only!!!) 3 days with standard use. I've been looking into Sony Ericsson because of the battery time they advertise and I think W200i is a good buy, apart from some bugs in music playback, it looks good. The screen is about the same as this C65, slightly more pixels, same colors. And, above all, a price of about 90Eur here in Portugal. Great for the occasional music listening, games, photo shoot, and calling people, right? Another one I'm thinking of is the Nokia 3500 classic, but guys posting here at the GSMarena say the battery only lasts for 1.5 to 3 days (sux). It has Bluetooth and is smaller, but more expensive (127Eur + shipping). Samsung phones are more expensive for less features and about the same battery life as nokia's, so I've discounted them. LG's, Motorolla have a bad rep... I really wanted a new Siemens, but the brand no longer exists :( I've had a M35 then this C65 and now? Any other thoughts on other phone models that I could look into?

Best quality of the phone i found was the 100 received/dialed/missed calls feature... I can tell how many times someone has called and at what times, Had no luck finding this feature on other phones... Too bad Siemens is no more...

It was cheap and durable. Maybe little bit hard to use but I managed to make phone calls and send text messages with it. I have swimmed in the lake of Saimaa with that phone. I just removed the accumulator and drained phone for a one day. And It is still working :)

This cellphone is very durable!!!... everytime this phone accidentally fall out from my hands and bump on the floor, it does'nt commit any internal damages.... that's the reason why i've said its durable...uhmmmm, I think i've had brag it 30 times, well, it's still working!... it's almost perfect, but the problem with this phone is that it does'nt have a video recorder and memory card slot...

The only way is to transfer the files in amr format (but it doesn�t sounds good) or wav (but wav files needs more space even than mp3)

This phone can�t play mp3 nor .3gp Those files aren�t supported. And I�m so sure because I had this phone since February 2005, on December I bought a Nokia 6230 and used both phones. I tried to transfer mp3 files and .3gp videos from 6230 to C65 trough IR and never worked. But in July 2006 I sold my C65 to keep only the 6230. C65 is a good phone except for camera. For the guy asking for better camera performance: You can�t improve your photos. Isn�t a good camera. But come on, anyway is a very good phone and what can you expect for a low end phone?? The only problem I had is that my battery cover broke after a year of use. But I bought a new original cover and was really cheap.

I used this phone for 2 years and it served me well. Had common problems like it shutting off and freezing, but for a cheap phone with a camera, what do you expect. I have just bought a Sony Ericsson z710i and i love it. My problem now is that i want to get pics off my C65 and onto a computer but i don't have a data cable, and don't have the original software (that might have come with the phone, i can't remember) so I'm going to try to use the Infrared port between the phone and my laptop. does anyone know where i might find the software to do this?

This is truly a pieace of crap i have been through two of these phones in a 6 month period and they periodically turn off when they please and the battery meter is unpredictable i have taken it off charge and it says its full but when i unplug it gives me a battery low warning and turns off

People, come on! This phone came out how long ago? Over 2 years ago I know that much! It costs how much now days? I have no idea, but when I got it around 2 years ago it costed �40. It was pretty much the ONLY camera phone for that price. It is actually an ok phone. Yes mine froze sometimes, it was fairly slow and the screen wasn't that good quality but what do you expect for that price? An amazing work of art? I actually adored this phone. I used it for over a year and then got a new phone due to boredom with this one...... I bought the Samsung E530 and within a year of it I am looking for a cheap replacement......... Seriously lay off this phone for 1 minute and enjoy the greatness of this phone for the price range.............

I had the c66 for the last two years, it is the southamerican version of c65. It's a GREAT mobile phone and very different to other models when I bought two years ago. A lot of features and functionalities i can't find all together in a lot of mobiles of today. It freezed just three or four times in two years,in spite of I turn it off every 15 days or more, and the battery charge lasts 3 days in normal use. I have lost it two days ago and hope my new Samsung cover my expectations.

I've had this phone for a half year, so these are it's pros and cons by me: Advantages - Small and light-weight - Good screen, easy-to-use menu, support for themes - Good polyphonic ringtones - More than enough memory - Great phonebook (so many fields...) - Good camera, the pics look OK on the screen - Functional IR (unlike Samsung models) - Wide range of applications (calendar, appointments, tasks, notes, dictaphone machine, time zones, alarm cock, calculator, unit converter, stopwatch, countdown timer) - Very cheap Disadvantages - Very poor battery life (1 DAY only) - Very slow at times, especially when opening games, applications (opening the image editor takes a full minute) It's was a very good choice, but today there are better phones for the same amount of money (Samsung, Sony Ericsson...)

had this phone for 6 months, so i think my comments are valid, it's a bit all over the page, the advs/disadvs are scattered: -has an ok battery, good enough, I only charge it every 3-4 days -the camera is poor (I have a dslr so i'm biased, but they could have done a lot better, don't buy this phone because of the camera) -the phone processing speed is slow -adding to the last point, it's good enough, I don't play games (which are too slow) but for some applications, it's only 1 extra sec max to load -it's only crashes when you try to upload fancy animation, it's prob the same problem as a computer program timing out in loading, again comming back to the processor -it's solid, i have literally fliped a phone instead of a coin (crazy hey?), it deosn't budge, you don't notice the scratches, which I only got from running with it in the same pocket as keys -the sound is great, my friends can hear birds from outside my window on the phone -it's user friendly -i'd swap the camera for a radio any second -can't switch off the annoying camera noise -has good features -IR actually works, unlike some nokia phones -excellent price, for the equavalent of some brick with nothing, you get a great phone -stylish (relativly), light weight + small size (my first considerations) that'show i feel about my phone, it's sturdy and can take heaps of battle damage (I move a lot in the worst enviroments), it does everything it's meant to, and it looks and feels awesome, plus it's damn inexpensive. what more you you want?

This phone died in one year. Since the first day, the camera crashes a lot, when I select one option in the menu, sometimes appears another one, and many other issues. The other day, i went to make a call, and oh surprise!, the screen is all black with some stripes. The phone can make sounds,etc... but screen is off!! The best thing on this phone is that you can see how many time are the lost calls, so you can know if you have a really lost call or only a "blink" I don't recommend, is very unestable and have a short life.

Good cost/benefit ratio. Good sound quality in phone conversations. Though I've tried, I can't get mine to freeze or hang up. The battery is a problem... I got a longer life by turning the phone off and leaving it charging overnight. Removing animations also helps. Yes the processor is quite slow... no good for impatient people. IR works fine, a little slow prob. because of overall phone speed. I can't turn off that very loud shutter sound and there's nothing in the manual about it. Still I recomend the phone to budget-minded users who want a decent, nice-looking mobile with a good set of features and a large memory. But it wont be the battery to satisfy you.

Well despite what people say, I think this phone is ok. I've had it for over a year and it has been very good for its price at the time. �40 when camera phones were quite new, it is still more modern than some of my friends' phones. Yes it has frozen a few times,but it is easily fixed just take the battery out, its camera is acceptable and it is relatively easy to use. There has recently been a competition where this type of phone could be won. It was a poorly designed internet-competition, so I was able to write a script and win many many of these. They ALL have battery problems. I have begun to return each and every one. The battery life is shorter than what the specs say, so I want another battery (and have already received a few). So I would say: check the official specs (i.e. the guide you got with the phone) and see what battery life is guaranteed. If you're under it and within warrantee (6 months on the battery, normally), return it.

It seems most of the C65 have three major problems.1-Extremely short talk time 36hours, 2-the phone hangs most of the time and 3-the speaker is of very poor quality. Does Siemens ever read user comments? What has Siemens done about this anomalies? Experience with the C65 has taught me not to trust the official tech specs. I would rather relay on GSmarenas'reviews and user comments.

I've had this phone for little over a year now and it crashes all the time. Yes it has a lot of features but wot use are they if they keep freezing on you? The battery has completely died now and i'm over the one year warranty so i can't return it. So i bought a Siemens SF65 3 weeks ago. It is nice looking, and much more reliable. Although it doesn't have as much features as this phone, its camera is much better - you can store photos at over 1100 x 800 pixels. Check it out if you're not happy with this phone. That machine doesn`t work. It`s becoming disconnected permanently. The technical service (IS2 in Madrid) says that it is a defective serie and it doesn`t have any possible repair. Better you should not to buy it.

It's a very nice mobile phone with userfriendly menus but ... the battery is a real disaster. After sending 2 mms, calling 15 minutes and adding 2 entries in the phone book I have to recharge it !! I bought a new battery ( same as original ) ... still the same problem ! With my oprevious Siemens mobiles ( MC60, S45, C35, S25 ) I never had problems with the battery. Is it possible toput another type of battery in this mobile phone ?

I had this Phone for about a year. I kept it in my pocket during school (we're not allowed our fones in school). Beacause of the bad keypad locking,(it can be unlocked by pressing 1 button), it kept on unlocking and either calling people, going online, or playing sounds. I was nearly in detention 2ce!!! Another problem is the bad picture quality, the pictures are rubbish even for a phone. It is also hard to see the screen in bright light.

This is one of the best phones on the market at the prise. A 250 to 300 dollar nokia in australia cant equal what it does. Also like other people who have replied to other opinions the battery does last for 3-4 days and mine has never crashed. Its easy to use has 10mb inbuilt and takes a far better picture than more expensive phones.

Had it for 3 hours, bought it online, my thoughts are: -good general phone, good weight/size (but heavier than it looks) -not so good ergonomically, hard to find the right 1 handed grip -joystick is a pain in the butt, (personally resloved to never ever get a phone with a joystick) -it's locked up 3 times (camera, camera, settings) -battery comes half charged, haven't recharged yet -intuitiative menus/function, user friendly modes and user manual (only needed to use it to switch off T9) -no asian keys -weak cam, but as if you expected anything but -bad ringtones -haven't tried IR -ok sound recording, picks up birds very well for some reason... that's all for now, to summarise, it's a decent phone, great for the price ($100~ in Sydney) but wished i'd got one with no freaken joystick. (anyone wanna trade?)

hi im from panama and i bought this C66 5 days ago. well... this is a great phone, easy to use, graphics, themes, sounds, signal boost, looking.. BUT is suks at bettery life (about 1-2 day and its complety empty) also the camera is very cheap 350x288 and as we can see when they are downloaded to pc the corners are kinda smooth because is a CIF camera (object in the pictures look like spheres). another con is this phone is that is VERY SLOW when u run appz and games, they take to much time to load. the best thing in the phone is that is very resistant and its 10 mb excessive memory =) using the ubs cable i loaded more than 50 games and appz in this phone.

I thought that it was a great phone.. but he disappointed me SO much... Let's see.. In every morning, when i switch it on.. he collapses!!! x( I switch it on again, 2 mintes and.. he collapses again.. and so and so.. After about 10 sitch ons, if he won`t collapse, the keys won`t work easily.. What i mean is that you have to push 3 times a key to work... It`s annoying, i don`t know what to say... The battery lasts only for maximum 2 days... :(( An advice.. pls! The camera.. eh.. the camera is quite good.. what you have to do is clean the lens.. :)

DIFFERENCE BETWEEN C65 and C66 is that C65 is the version for USA, C66 SOUTH AMERICA the phones are completely the same. satisfied with phone, low price and very functional

this phone has so many secrets to explore. i downloaded the developers' kit from the siemens website and was able to make my own themes for my C65. i realized how fully customizable this phone is. i had made a theme showing my own background image at the menu. Also, I made my SMS background an animated gif. it's wonderful that you can change all the colors of the texts, graphics, lines, prompts, selections, ...all of it!

I bought this phone second-hand on a whim after selling off my SX1 and having to use my 2+ year old S55 as a backup. The thing is, I never expected a mid-range phone to be this good. The C65 has a nice and bright screen with good color saturation (a bit on the blue-ish side). The number of lines Siemens successfully managed to fit into 130x130 pixels makes this one of the more useable screens around. The unified inbox where all missed calls, messages and reminders are centrally stored makes accessing these items a simple one-click process. The phone OS is fast with great response making SMS T9 a breeze to use. I was very surprised at the Java performance where load times were acceptable and in-game performance was no cause for complaint. Camera is not VGA, so the resolution is standard 352x288 pixels, but given sufficient lighting, pictures taken come out clear with good color balance and warm natural tones. The built-in 10mb of memory is generous given phones of this class, unless you're planning to store videos. The C65 from Firmware 33 onwards have the ability to play videos, but not record them. Anyone familiar with past Siemens phones (x45, x55 series) will greatly appreciate the amount of thought and enhancements that went into making the new x65 interface not just more intuitive but a lot more functional. Plus, bundling that into a compact little package with soft, tactile keys, a decent camera, 10mb of free memory, an address book that can store 1000 contacts and a bright screen, makes the C65 worth more than a second look.

i am condsidering buying the siemens c65... i just have one comment though, for all those that are commenting on signal and battery life, it follows that when you have poor signal, your battery life goes down with it. It a fact for all phones. Maybe your gsm provider needs to install more sites to provide better signal. one thing though, how i wish they added a card slot feature. 10 mb memory is nice, but addtitional memory neber hurts. it kinda limits the capablities of your phone. unlike the most nokia phones that only has 4 mb of memory, using a high mb memory card compensates for it. Signal is not a problem here in my country... i just hope that they already have the latest firmware installed on the c65 they are selling here... good luck to all!

I had this phone once and it was utter rubbish, it kept making a high pitched bleeping sound and switing itself off, it also cept crashing when I was in the middle of something. I have a Samsung D500 now and I couldn't wish for a better phone, I think its safe to say that Siemens better get their act together on this one, well in my opinion anyway!!!

I have this phone and it grew on me though the features could have been more funky or techy. I mean it should have at least a video clip capability having a 10 Mb capacity should prove its worth. The battery also is not that good. My Battery lasts for at least 2 1/2 to 3 days but I wish it would last longer. It does not include a data cable that you can use. not unlikesony Ericsson and Motorola. Finally the audio player should play all types of wav files so that you can download all of them. I downloaded a Kill Bill wav file on it and it does not play. It says error cannot be played. But a Tweety bird wav file plays fine. It chooses the type of wav file it plays. The cool thing about it is it is modestly priced has a big pohone memory, the camewa is good, you can set what you have recorded as your ringtone and alarm clock, even wav files can be your ring tone. But compared to E398 of Motorola. It is way behind. For the same price range Motorola E398 outperforms most phones in the market even Nokia phones. It is at par with 7260 or K750.

Very good phone although I am not pleased with the battery performance too much and the battery cover is a nightmare for me. Switching off needs a quick fix from Siemens company, my model fortunately has newer firmware. It is worth the price but if you want something special...simply pay more for something else and don't complain :-))

The reason why the phone automatically switches off is the bad contact of the battery to the handset body. To fix this you need to slot in a small piece of paper at the bottom of the battery to prevent it from sliding downward. It worked for us. Goodluck to all siemens fans including my husband!

Have it over 5 months now, am very pleased ith it, design & features are great. Luv the infrared port, works very well. No network problems in Europe. Functional software-suite downloadable from the website for free. Pix are lowres but that was to be expected. Pleased customer.

Ringtone doesn't change in my c65!! Everytime I follow the menu to change it and the ringtone is changed, but when a call comes from outside, the old ringtone rings!!!! can anyone help me??

very cool phone. I had the CV65 and I have converted it into a C65, never had problems, the memory is only 10 mb but it is good for all your files. The SMS capacity is 100. To correct the auto-turnoff error you have simply to upgrade your phone with latest firmware.

At the FIRST look, a good phone. I have it for 6 months, but i had a lot of problems. The first was with the vibrator, then 3 days I had problems with network(a friend with the same model near me not!!!), sometimes turns off from itself, one day every move of the phone turned it off. Sometimes the dislay goes black, and now, all of a sudden my keys work not. 2, 5, 8, and left softkey only if I press the 0 key before. The 8 key turns the phone off. I don�t recommend Siemens to nobody!!! Think longer before buying such phones!

The latest official firmware is 25. Download it from siemens site, upgrade your phone and it will never freeze or crash again. you would need dca500 serial cable to do the job.

The phone needs to be off when you charge it for the battery to last. I haven't been able to do this for long yet due to needing the phone, I can't leave it for 12 hours switched off.

I have had this phone for just over a month, and I am not too happy with it. The phone froze several times when I first got it, and has stopped since. It seems to be a common thing for Siemens phones to freeze during the first week of use. I also find that the response time when I click on the menus is quite slow. Also, I find that the phone is not the easiest to customize. My Nokia 6610i was much easier. The battery life is quite short. The Nokia 6610i lastest almost twice as long. And finally, although the resolution of the camera is the same as the Nokia 6610i, I find that the pictures are not of the same quality, and for pictures to come out nicely there must be very high light levels, otherwise they are very dark. Overall this is a nice phone, but is slow and has a short battery life, and the camera is not the greatest.

i don't think you can disable the sound...you would have to delete the click sound from the pc with a cable...which means more $$$. mines crashed about 4 times within one week i got it. it usually crashes when using the camera

I have had this phone for a few days now after swapping from the NEC e101. I am a big fan of Siemens phones for their ease of use. The NEC was a nightmare! The only problem I have is it keeps crashing on me. My old Siemens used to do this, but only about once a month. It's happened on this phone 3 times now. Has anyone else had a similar problem? Other than that I can't find fault with the phone.

this phone is fantastic for its price. u wouldn't find such features on a NOKIA at the same price. maybe double price. I've used this phone for a month and all I had to not-like about it was the quality of the camera(I remember that it's a low price phone). The rest was perfect, almost. Do keep in mind when rating the phone, that this ISN'T MEANT to be a top-notch phone you are expecting. There's a reason to its low price, and that is; average features. The phone is seriously more than what one should expect for what you pay, so do not complain. If you really want your perfect phone with everything in it, then you should jolly well be willing to shell out about $500-700. However, I am sure that is not the case for most people rating the phone. So, I call upon you to stop ranting about the minor flaws and inflating it to deter others from buying it. When rating a phone, you should not be ridiculous and compare it with other phones not of its calibre, but of other phones in its range... The bottom line is that the Siemens C65 is a GOOD ENTRY-LEVEL phone. It has MORE than what it should have for what you pay. Flaws can be corrected with firmware update, Ive used this phone before for a period of time, and it does have its flaws. I had them corrected and they work *almost* perfect now. I talked on this mobile alot, and I have never been disconnected. Please double-check with your service provider... The phone easily eclipses 3 1/2 days on standby and some minor uses with me. I have no complains, but am instead full of compliment to Siemens for sparing a thought for the lower-class market or/and teenagers who may not be able to produce huge amounts of cash for a phone... I take my hat off to Siemens, for not trying to rip us off our money the way Nokia usually does...

kemo. press the camera button till u can shoot photos. on the right u have the softkey indicating options. press it and change the resolution in the "SETTINGS" title: u have 3 options: Medium, Wallpaper and Premium. Wallpaper is best for wallpapers and in full screen mode they cover the whole screen. in premium size they are 352x288 (with no zoom) and in full screen mode it's about 80% of the screen. Medium size does not matter - ugly :)

Good news! I was able to enjoy MMS/GPRS now thru smart and internet browsing is quite quick and easy too. Much faster than my dial up ISP actually. I can change my ringtones anytime and assign per group caller. Now im proud to say..NO REGRETS!

Let me sum it up for all those who are interested in buying this piece of junk. Pls explore your options. Siemens has a bad rep to begin with and the C65 is one of the better of the batch. Overall the phone still has faults. I work for a cell company and they tell us to sell these phones without notifying the consumer about the defects. Take my word for it, go with NOKIA or MOTOROLA if you want quality.

oh yea, u wanna play games and download games ects; it's quite slow a slug could pass the lenght of the phone. The games that are provided on the phone is pretty pathetic. Again, slow performance, so not worth the $$. I just deleted all mine.

Got the phone 2 weeks ago from Fido(BC). New version 12v. So far, not 2 many problems; just that when I have taken and deleted several pics at 1 time, the phone freezes. So, have to take battery out 2 reset. Wut's up with the MMS? Type 2 letters and I'm over the limit!?! Can't connect to net even if I cheked the GPRS box. Hard time usin handsfree if it's around fairly noisy surrondings, pretty good if there's silence as it's quite loud & clear. Pics are decent but slight blurriness. Can't expect much since it's a cam phone. Display is alrite only when it's fairly dark out/shady area. Under bright sun, it's not possible to see anything. I think they should have an illumination switch to turn on/off if one uses the phone constantly. I swear that eats up batteries so fast, it's not funny! *if U have illumation & contrast @ low settings, it should save the batteries some what* Phone is nice and sturdy, not 2 small that I might lose it or something. Buttons are perfect. Don't have to squint to find the numbers. Call/On buttons could be a bit bigger. Placement of numbers ects, is good so is joystick handling. Reception is pretty clear depending on your surrondings. Like on a bus, sometimes not possible to hear your caller. Sometimes callers says I break up so either my fingers are in the way of the antennae or something. For the price I got it, signin on 2yr ~$85 CAD is pretty good deal.

i used this phone for 2 days and realise that everything is good, camera with 3X zoom, good pics taken with same as 6230. But sometimes will keep waiting, will just press No to resume. Is a small bug. Change ringtones is easy. comes with normal call, group call, and SIM card. Therefore would say def worth the price with such a power phone. good buy

Something similar happened to my boyfriend with the siemens C65 model. He got another phone in exchange for that one and said it would always freeze. Not to mention the sound problems it has on the shut off melody tune.

I have a Siemens C65 which I bought about 20 days ago. It started malfunctioning about 2 weeks after I bought it. The phone would freeze while in operation and I would have to wait until the battery died (a few hrs later) before It would snap out of the frozen state and restart again. I tried to return it to the FIDO locations in BC and they put me on a 2 week waiting period. I got the run around from FIDO's cust service and Kiosk's until I finally went in to the fourth FIDO location and they had just ONE phone left. MY LUCKY DAY!! They exchanged the phone for me for another refurbished one. I was pissed because the entire phone series was on recall for malfunctioning to begin with. Could anybody here help me and tell me why should the consumer suffer if the phone is faulty to begin with???

I have C65 by Siemens bought in UK from Phones4U on o2 network (locked). Good points. 1) Display 130x130 65k and is brighter and clearer and stronger colours than Nokia 6230. 2) Ringtones Loud and Clear 3) Compact, Modern and Stylish Design 4) Covers exchange so you can change the look and if damaged can be replaced. 5) Memory is big for its price and class 6) Infrared Works well with most phones I have tried unlike some older models of phone with others. 7) CIF Camera is quite good considering the price. Check out MC60 now that is rubbish. 8) MMS is very easy to use 9) T9 Dictionary - This is important you can add to the dictionary and the phone also word wraps. Many phones Like Sendo do not do either. 1) Battery - Currently the battery is poor (at least on mine) lasting 1 day maximum 2 days. This is not acceptable. Alternative batteries are now available but higher capacity ones should have been supplied by Siemens. Overall I would say this phone is excellent value for money just marred by some minor bug fixes which are being slowly sorted by siemens and a poor battery. I give it 9 out of 10 stars

I have purchased the serial data cable for the c65 mobile phone and have Mobile Phone Manager downloaded from the siemens website but it will not connect with the phone. i have tried to do an update aswell but this will not connect either. are there any settings that i have to change on my phone or on my computer. i am running windows XP home edition with SP2 and using the serial Cable on COM1. can someone email with help??

It's a better than average phone, good features, low price i.e Rs.10,800 in Pakistan which is about US $186, but if anyone can throw off some more bucks then CX65 is a better choice. CX65 is for Pakistani Rs.14,500 i.e US $250, it has a video camera, an infrared port and an extra 1 MB memory. So fetch one of these for yourself now!!!!!!!!!!!

cif is the resolution, it's about half of the VGA resolution, wich means it has 320x120 pixels if I'm not mistaken, and the C65 does NOT have video

it's not a cif camera, its a qvga camera, that means it's slightly worse than a cif camera...(320x240 I believe) for an aprox.125 � phone I think it's very good
