Siemens M50 - User Reviews

  • I had a phone just like this only blue and silver, but mine was called MT50... I guess its the same phone, but still, why the different names? Why is there no MT50 on GSM arena?

  • My very first mobile phone. Mine was blue and silver. Back when Siemens phones not only still existed, but were actually great.

  • My first phone ever, was in blue :)

  • Ah, my love! It worked for at least 9 years, form 2002 or maybe 2003 to 2012, and would've worked more. Should've bought two of those! :)

  • im that same dude who said on 22 Feb 2015 that this is still my everyday phone after 12 years. After that I was used it still some month until got proper 2sim smartphone to get finally my personal and work calls into 1 phone. after that i have used my m50 as excelent alarmclock!

  • Wow! 12 years?!? Mine didn't even reach 5 years of utilization. The phone itself was ok, but the battery was completely shot.

  • still working after 12 years everyday use 0.o

  • its really long time to replay but i was get my replacement display from ebay. also i think a50 and c45 have same display but not 100% sure.

  • Where did you find the display to replace, and when this happened. Mine died recently /I damaged the display connection while deep clening :(/ and I would like to revive it, but it is totally unlikely that some repair parts are out there yet.

  • heh.. wierd but it's still work, almost 10 years old now. once have replaced display and battery, other details are all original.

  • this is a tought mobile phone,i have it since 2005 even i bought second hand but its still nothing any problem with this phone.i love it

  • I bought one in 2002 and i'm still using it! Some problems with sim-cards nowadays and of course the battery aren't very durable anymore.. But it's still going strong!

  • one of the best phones available.

  • after more than 4 years, it is still in case! very STRONG mobile phone! :)

  • My first mobile phone...I had it for 3 years!!! It has many features like JAVA, GPRS and EMS what is very impressing for so old phone! On my opinion the silver one with neon display looks much better!!! And the best is that it still works well!!!

  • Anyone, how can i check total call time

  • I really Like this Phone :)

  • I can not get anywhere a version of java-midlet ChessBuddy (product of Coffebreakmedia, Niek van Nielsen) wihich one perfectly fit to my Siemens C55 screen. I have the version 1.0 and 1.2 but they work with SL45. Could you give me some advices? (Here, in Hungary, in the heart of Europe I can not order it on net, there is no commercial place for it.) Anyway, C55 was the best, and cx65 what(I) will the best

  • This is a great phoe I just got it and it's lovely. . .

  • Please help me how to send e-mail by using M50.

  • It's a nice little phone. Responsible, with a snappy GPRS and great for using as a data modem:-)

  • MP3

  • mt50 has vibrations? if yes.... where is the function in the phone menu? please reply thanx good phone.....

  • But I guess you should know that know already. :)

  • zeek, press the * button on your phone. Select the right soft key to access PROFILES. Select QUIET ENVIRONMENT if you want silent mode. The select the right soft key for OPTIONS. Select CHANGE SETTINGS. Go to the check box that marks SILENT ALERT. Enable the check box if you want VIBRATION in SILENT MODE.

  • is siemens m50 able to operate its vibrating mode during silent profile??? i can't seem to figure out to do so... its not stated in its users manual handbook too. If it is able to do so.... could u kinly send me the procedures. Txs!!!!

  • Please I want the manual in english version. I bought it here in Lagos, Nigerian and discovered that the manual is in German language. Can you please send it to my email address. Thanks.

  • Please I want the manual in english version. I bought it here in Lagos, Nigerian and discovered that the manual is in German language.

  • U can imagine I had an SL45 before I lost it and acquired this fone, I thought it was a raw deal but found that its worth every little penny. This thing has an excellent blue facia and blue backscreen lighting, distinguishes it from the rest of the siemens models. Its got a whole lot of features including GPRS,Line feed, EMS. Its a whacky cool phone, not too expensive. Really light, navigation is perfect for the ardent siemens fan. Grp SMS and Dial ar cool too and the wap facility is tha bomb. Now crown it with Java capabilities and U got what U want in a phone, would urge anybody to go for it!!!

  • it's the coolest i've seen in a long long time!

  • i want a Siemens M50 Software

  • M50 is very nice to use

  • My first phone i bought was a Siemens C25 way back in 1999. Since then, Ive used the Siemens C45 and now the Siemens M50. Here's some of the features about the M50 (asian version - with chinese character input) that I like. 1)The screen interface is easily navigatable (once you're used to it, it's a breeze). 2)The buttons are spaced evenly and isn't too small. 3)One of the first Siemens phone to have blue light unlike the orange on other models. 4)You can update your games and programs through GPRS. 5)An archive storage (depends on the phone momory remaining) to keep your favourite SMS's. 6)You can send pictures, animation and sound together with your SMS - 760 characters altogether available. Now here are some disadvantages to this phone. 1) Can't receive logo, screensaver and picture messages from other phones (such as Nokia). 2) Phone memory is only 50. Why can't they have more? 3) Hassle of getting new logo's and screensaver's (either through datacable or GPRS) Purchasing a phone depends really on personal preference. Some features that people want (calculator and voice dial) isn't present in the M50. But the M50 is reliable and has some other balancing features to complement it. My rating for this phone is 8/10.

  • I think tha this mobile is very perspective-for young peoples! Its good looking. The only bad things are that is missing the infra-red and the polifone melodies

  • This far I have been more than pleased to my new mobile. Some things that bothers me are those stupid ways to load ringtones, logos and java apps. GPRS is working just fine, even faster than I though...slow anyways. Could't be happier!

  • I just bought it. I used to have a NOKIA 8210 but the vibration stopped working so I desided to buy a new phone. I was between the Motorola C333 and the Siemens M50. Because of the internal battery of the Motorola I didnt buy it. Unfortunately I bought Siemens which I when I turned it on I was really disappointed. Here are the defects: 1. Big and thick - Compared to the old NOKIA 8210 and C333 2. The speakerphone sounds like shit. Low quality speaker; When someone speaks to you , he sounds like he speaks from a fake toy. 3. The vibration is way too weak (Nokia 8210 rulz!) 4. The ringtones sound like shit (like the voice, they are coming from the same speaker) Except from that they are all crap. 5. Slow menus on SMS. If you check the incoming SMS it will display : "Please Wait". Slow loading for Games (around 5 seconds!). 6. The plastic covers are low quality. NOKIA FUNNY SMS ARE NOT COMPATIBLE AS I HEARD SOMEONE SAYING! The only good things I found on this phone: 1. The blue light is really nice 2. The battery comes out and I heard that it lasts longer than the C333 3. I highly recommend you NOT to buy it.

  • having good features.

  • do not buy the blue ones !!!! have mercy with your eyes

  • well i got dis fone in blue on t-mobile, and i luv it, i got a data cable so ive got loads of ringtones and logos, i like da fact that u can save pic msgs as logos or screen savers where as nokias,u av 2 dwnld logos and cant u pic msgs. ive got sum gud games as well, although my fone only came wi 1 game moorhun, and da battery is shit, i av 2 charg it evry 2days, its a gr8 little fone, but how do i change the vibration settings?? Id suggest to ne1 buy dis fone da nokia 3330 and 3410 r crap.

  • it is a fabolous phone i'm deadly interested with this one do you want to give me one ? thanks

  • im thinkin bout buyin dis fone, is it betta than da nokia 3410? an which is da best colour da blue or orange??? pls help.

  • Man, this stinks!

  • I bought this phone two weeks ago, and Im not very happy with it. Overall it workd okay no drawbacks but its too toyish and Im getting bored of it quick. I suggest to future buyers of this phone to beware cause you will be dissapointed. Im thinking of buying a Motorola V66.

  • A wonderful phone... Beautiful and elegant! And so sweet...

  • Got mine a fortnight ago,one of the best i've had......This phones' got a lot going for it-Small size, lightweight, really sturdy design, downloadable tones & graphics(Get a datacable then you can copy and send logos for nokias and other phones no problems),downloadable java games, easy to use(After u mess about with it for a while)WAP Howerever it also has its draw backs- screen way too small, vibrator is not very strong..and the bitmap viewer is a pain in the ass!! :( Overall its a good fone for the price.

  • the display is either orange or blue and the prices should be there between 200- 250e..go and get it when you still can!!

  • Actually, after reading M50 intruduction from Arena. I still did not know wat colour of the screen have in M50, can anyone tell mi about it....

  • no, but you can get the first 3 thanks to the wonderful java tecnology

  • Does your M50 have any of theese featrues?! - Currency converter - Calculator - Stopwatch - Reminder list - Voice dial - Voice memo My hasn't! I like it anyway...

  • Hi, i read everywhere that the M50 has a calculator...so can anyone tell me where it is located, cos i own that phone and still havent found a calculator? I just dont like when peeps tell that it has this and that and after the buy it has nothing of it..... :O(

  • it's so cool and have a lot of fitur that i need. i like it so much

  • Can someone tell me about the vibrator? Is it strong enough (M35 had a week one !). GSM Arena, there's allso MT50, you should put it, too! (Althought M50 & MT50 are pretty much the same phone)

  • Can any body tell me anything about the display?

  • had phone for a week now.excellent choice, good features, excellent signal and reception, good battery life, small and looks good.nice blue backlit display. 10/10 for everything as i cant fault it.oh and java application wont work at the moment on o2 network pay & go
