Sonim XP3.20 Quest Pro - User Reviews

  • still all i get is not an SOS call ISP server all good HELP me

  • i have same thing now i can'f enter password di you have any luck

  • Its a phone not a tablet. Phones are not web terminals. That's what a proper PC or tablet is for. My exp with the xp3.20 is mixed. Lots of good and some bad. Terrible camera. And now in 2016 where 2g is being closed down soon to be rendered unusable here in Australia. The long battery life is the best feature.

  • goes in emergency mode and can't get it out i hate this thing

  • goes in emergency mode and can't get it out i hate this thing

  • I have bought one of those phones second hand, after my previous own drowned. I wanted to prevent that in the future. It is nice and heavy and thick. It is solid to the bone. I have to recharge the battery only once every two of three weeks, depending on how much I use it, which is also an important concern for me. Beside that, it looks totally awesome, like a telephone that you can take to the moon and still use. The camera is not too great, but hey, it is a telephone, not a camera. Screen is nice and bright. Calls are clear and SMS works well. Essentially it has everything I want in a phone, without any smartphone nonsense. It would have have been nice to have a more solid keyboard locking and unlocking mechanism, because sometimes the torch turns on accidentily drains the battery within a day.

  • Where to buy Sonim XP3.20 Quest Pro in US?

  • I have used my Sonim XP3 for years now with no problems. Yes, I have the latest smartphone that I use in the city, but when I go on a malti-day hike, there is no better phone than my Sonim. Very ruggard, great battery, waterproof, better signal than any other phone - I can go on and on. The Sonim XP3 is a phone in the old sense of phones - and a bloody good one at that.

  • how do you get incoming messages silent thank you

  • phone is exellent, the only gripe i have is no mms and the two way radio funcion doesent seem to enabled all it does is bring up my contacts? Not been able to try the gps as 02 doesnt support gps on PAYG! flash light is epic, bluetooth is great-will even stream straight to my GF's fiesta and works with the steering controls!, very waterproof, had it in many drinks on a night out, dropped it loads of times, road, concrete face down on gravel, ha oil on it you name it its happened, i got this as all my other phones have only lasted me a year, well the predecessor of the sonim a sony x8 lasted me months, the signal does drop out every now and again but a quick wave of the hand and its fine, battery is epic, used the opra browser a few times and it seemed ok, yes the pc software doesent work on W7 but i dont use that so im not really bothered, speakerphone is great, although i did blow the speaker a few months back,(replaced in under a week by sonim for free)

  • I bought this phone in 2008 and to date I still can't get the software to work. The "PC Tool" software doesn't work with Window 7! Only works with XP. So forget about syncing with your PC if you have a Windows 7 PC - you will have to enter all of your contact and calender information into the phone manually. The Sonim website is very poor and outdated. I regret buying this phone and more than that, I regret not returning it within the return period.

  • Cannot wait to get a new phone and I will not be getting another Sonim. The back up service terrible.Software freezes up . The web browsing is useless

  • If you read the quickstart guide (which contradicts the manual), you will see that you operate the torch by depressing and holding the '5' key.

  • A tough phone with terrible software, sonim should be ashamed with this phone, microphone bad, SMS wordbook outdated , locks up often ,keylock useless ,Bluetooth bad and lots lots more..whats the point of having a tough phone if it doesn't work ?

  • Absolutely the worst phone ever with support to match

  • We have bought these for technicians, and have endless problems. The sound quality is bad, when talking with Bluetooth there's almost no sound. The phone tends to hang, and have to be restarted to work properly again. I have 5 of them with me currently to be sent in for repairs/upgrade etc. One of the faults are if the contacts are loaded, it says it failed, please load again. No MMS functionality. Why a 2 mega pixel camera without MMS functionality? Can anybody please advise me of how the GPS function works? We need to have the GPS functioning as our technicians are using these handsets.

  • I am dying to Kay my hands on Sonim rugged mobile phone but there are different types around now. Can someone tell me the best of all Sonim rugged phone on the Market please... Thanks

  • Got mine from thephonetrader.co.uk as they still have some with the unconditional warranty on. Nice people and got it free on my Vodafone upgrade if you are in the UK. Battery lasts for ever, also got a ittm Outlimts which is lower spec but is a lot lighter and slimmer.

  • Now it works push key 5 for a while, the light will come on

  • Same thing on my phone flashlight wont work, and no respons from Sonim.

  • Dont waste your money.'No Win7 64bit support and Sonim not interested in it either.

  • I have used the regular and crashed it, so i got a replacement and it is a pro version, with the gorilla glass, but i can't activate my flashlight by holding the camera button. it just doesn't work with the pro and it did work with the normal quest. sonim doesn't reply, anybody has some ideas? kind regards

  • just got my quest pro last week. works great, battery is still half full. i cant change the ring tone though. there is no speed dial. they r made in china. i havent dropped or drown it yet.

  • pro has gorilla glass, comapre them at www.thephonetrader.co.uk

  • if you want a rugged phone but are worried about the singal go for the ittm monaco outlimits ip57 but with dual sim so no signal problems.

  • How about the signal? Anyone can tell me how is the signal? Is it enough powerful in low-signal areas? Thanks!

  • Yeah.. I get that sometimes but soon as i see that im not being heard well i hang up and call again and its sorta goes away dont know why but dont care.. not every day u can text or talk while in the pool or shower! thanks sonim!!

  • The phone is as rugged as the day is long. But the driver will not install under Windows 7. SOnim says it does not support Win 64 bit. Very disappointing. PC app is shoddy when you get it to work. Near impossible to install JAVA apps. Phone OS very slow.

  • Hello! I have my Sonim XP3.20 Quest Pro for 2 months now. The phone is as described, battery is to die for, water doesn't damage it and so on. It is a great phone, with one issue. The talker on the other side doesn't hear me so good. In fact some of my friend often complain about hearing me very poorly. This only happens when I talk into the the phone. If I use earphones everybody hears me OK. Does anyone have the same problems ?

  • difference is the screen cover pro has something called gorilla glass for xtra durability and sonim says there is a software difference, what the difference is i didn't get the answer. and btw the phone is so good durable battery life is to die for, minus sides no mp3 player i tried to install glass player but i did not work and the camera doesn't have a zoom and the pictures are grainy

  • Can anyone explain the difference between XP3.20Quest and XP3.20 QuestPro?

  • this phone got longest baterry life in the world.
