this phone is the best, i had this for nearly a year now, and it hasnt let me down in any ways, it has a great colour, a sliverish blue, and the camera and the speaker is neatly layed out on the back, but the only bad point about this phone is that it cannot read aac files, but then again, it can be converted into mp3 all in all, this phone is one of the best phones out!!

depend on how o2 hs configured the software security on z 4n.. it can be install as well as... if u wanna install the update version, thnk u hv to install z original w810 software first n thn z update one...

The joystick is rubbish, breaking under general wear and tear before my contract is up (but conveniently after the manufacturers warantee). This has put me off ever having an 18 month contract again. also put me off having a phone with moving parts - buttons all the way

hi I think that D750i is an excellent mobile, it has good features including its amazing camera and sound player and video track, but it has problem in the joy stick and its frozen sometimes, except these two things the mobile is v good one and U like its shape and its program and its memory with the memory stick but the joystick is working buut it must be more easy, I advise everyone to take this mobile

i called tmobile and apparently this phone has been discontinued. does this mean that i can't get it anymore from anywhere else? or can i still get it unlocked from somewhere else? i would just try and get an unlocked k750, but i like the d750's color more and also i'm assuming that since the d750 was exclusively for tmobile, that it would be better to have than a k750 since my service is tmobile.

Pal, this phone is exactly same as W800 and K750, but it is more similar with W800, so W800 supports Memory cards up to 2GB, and I think this phone will support too. I've tried a 2 GB Memory Stick on my W800 which I had 3 months and it works great. The phone is little slower when the memory is full, but still it works. So this phone has the same card reader. It supports. Thanks

The only difference between the W800i and the D750i is that the w800i has the walkman function and the d750i has not but overall the d750i is alot cheaper and would rather pay less just for 1 other function, personally i would go for the D750i over the w800i and the k750i.

K750,D750,W800,W810,W900 have the same camera... they all have autofocus,macro,2 LED flash lights, same resolution, all camera specs are same, so when a phone like k750 is said to have best 2 megapixel camera the others(w800,d750,w900,w810,and maybe P990) are also considered as the best w megapixels

not really...the K750(i) and the W800(i) are pretty much exactly the same they use the same software, except that the W800(i) has a slightly more enhanced music player (the W logo) - can be turned on to play music only - gets the cool walkman phones - cover is different colour...but it has 4mb less internal memory than the K750(i) but comes with free 512mb card...as the K750(i) only recives the 64mb free... and as for the D750 - its relatively exactly the same as the K750 - just different colours

D750 = K750. W800 can work as MP3-player only (in the plane, for exapmle). 750 models can't disable their GSM module.

K750 and d750 have a same software, different is only design. Difference W800 and d750 is in software (better mp3 player, louder speaker), bigger memory stick (512MB in w800, 64MB in d750) and price :-) But in D750 you can put software off w800 and you can buy 512M or 1GB mem card and you have the same phone for smaller price.

If is in use memory stick than you can transfer mp3, video, thm, games, etc. via USB (USB cable is in package). But via bluetooth or IR you can transfer to PC all this things in phone memory and in memory stick.

The D750i and the K750i are exactly the same in terms of it's functions. Here in the U.K, the D750i is the T-mobile exclusive design. The W800i has updated software allowing the user to access their MP3 player whilst the phone is switched off. Hope this helps anyone!!

basically please check that you all have installed the cd. and next is the memory card used is it a sony ericsson one? sandisk? if it's just a compatible one, then please check with the dealers could it be use in this phone. from what i know, sony phones only adapt to sony products.

When I connect the data cable I can't see the memory card and what I have on it at all. hi. iv gt the d750i.. and it is really good! i was able to get a 1gb memory card so i have a lot of space for songs vidz n photos. the camera quality is really good and the battery life is alot better than the old sony erricsons!

it can record whatever space you have in your card....the bug on the phone is the memory card of w800 i dont know why you need to buy a new card and k750 i think is having trouble with the software....w800 is a walkman and the d750 is not... basically the d750 has the w800 look and the software comes from k750 nate

Used the phone 4 bout 4 months now. Can anyone tell me if the software can be upgraded? And also, is the a function where it locked by itself after a minute or 2 to prevent unauthorised use, such as other people to read messages. Had it since christmas.used 2 hav a samsung t1000(ancient),got this n thought it was gr8 , n i still do , fair enuf ,some bad comments on here, but thats gota happen to some1, with all phones any make.im very impressed with the phone, its got great quality pictures,great video,great layout, simple to use(my mum aint got a clue with technology n she figured it out!!),i thought it was ugly the first time i saw it bt now i love d design.bad point-it has turnd itself of 3 times wivout me wantim it 2,but the problems now gone, i love it. MAKE SURE - wen u connect it 2 the computer through USB , make sure u go through the safely remove hardware procedure wen u take it out,it has a habbit of not recognizin the memory card til u turn it off n on agen wen u just pul it out of the USB port.Its light , got a good size screen, decent radio quality , and on t-mobile u get a free 1gig memory card wiv it which is 90quid usually. i use it all the time n i hav every confidence that it will work for woteva i want it 2 do , the battery life is amazing , im always playing on it n it will take about 2 days to drain if comstantly on it , ova a week if hardly using it , but how u cud leep it in your pocket for a week and not want to play with it is mad. The screens quality is great, ive put the simpsons episodes on it , got bout 2 hrs worth of programs and it takes up less than 50mb of memory in the 3gp file format. If u want to put mpg files on it , i use PVauthor to change them to .3gp files, which is easy to get if u dnt mind downloadin it off limewire which is illegal,so i would never do it(ha).also you can download lots of games which are easy to put onto your phone via USB,again using limewire(illegal (not likely to get caught)).it has more features than i can mention , its a gr8 phone and i would recomend anyone to get it. hope i helped you if you were plannin to get this phone :) Rich

Good phone, excellent camera, but be aware of t-mobile selling faulty ones. Mines broke after only 3 months-turned itself off then when on again 5 buttons including control stick dont work rendering it useless! T-mobile blame liquid contamination which apparently means i submersed handset in water or used it in the rain! (ridiculous i no) Still fighting them over this as i have proof from repair specialist company that the phone has not been liquid contaminated. Think this is what t-mobile tell people when they don't no whats gone wrong with your phone. Stay well clear - i am stuck in an 18 month contract with a phone that cant answer calls, txt, set time / date etc etc. T-mobiles only option offered to me is to buy one of there pay as you go phones in order that i can use my contract. Useless unhelpful bunch who will be hearing from my lawyers!

Yap.. you can flash the fw to W800 with no problems at all. and shutting camera sound can be off or always on.. depending on fiemware version.

To turn off camera sound, you have to set your phone on silent mode first. Then start up the camera.

you will all be very upset 2 know that there is a fault on at least 1 of d thousands theyve made,mine,typical aint it.well ,heres d problem , ive loaded bout 100 games on2 the 1gig memory stick , n i know its stupid but hey,i was planin 2 delete d ones i didnt want.neway 120 games is only 15mb of memory on it , so i werent dat boverd, but then it startd runin slow so i deletd loads ,but afta deletin 5 or so ,d fone would turn itslef off wen u click on more n it often would load anything :( my advice ,dnt make my mistake n load loads of games on2 d memory , put a few on n play em , d best ive found are anakonda( snake remake)ZUMA ,connect 4 (classic) n d best has 2 b HFT home run. about the phones good points tho, d battery is amazing , cameras gr8 , easy to load stuff on2 it with the right programs ( pvAuthor is my favourite) good layout, good memory , gr8 radio n sound quality , n quick charge . its an awsome phone n i wudnt change it 4 ne phone . was planin 2 get a nokia n70 or sumin , but im glad i went 2 sony ericsson . hope it didnt bore u 2 much readin dis. \it has everything the k750 has. Just bought the D and love it. I live in czech rep. Here it is 100 dollars cheaper than the K. Actuallt the buttons are easier to manipulate because of the spaces between them. And they are not mushy like the K, youz know when you hit the key. In all I like it better, but if you like the black color and want top spend more go for the K

I don't get how anyone can post negatives about this phone? It's a wonderful phone, I have used and continue to use all of the features on it without a single bug and have had it for over a month. Media player works great, just like a walkman. It's and mp3 player and a radio. It also plays streaming video. How is this not a walkman? Can someone please explain? The headphones are for both ears, when you get a call it interrupts music, which resumes after call is ended. I don't nead it to say "walkman" on the phone for me to see it as that. It charges quick, takes great pictures. I play games on it all the time as well. The battery lasts forever and a day. Has all the features of W800 but cheaper, you tell me which is the better deal.

There's no difference between D and K750i. D750i is branded for T-Mobile and it has a W800i case (only in silver colour). And the phone is great. The battery lasts for over a week. The pics are awesome.

To Darin, To record longer video, go to camera, go to video mode, go to settings, select "shoot mode" and select "high quality video". Thats it, you can now record longer video clips.

I have just recently got SE D750i and the phone is really great, there is nothing that I could complain. The only thing I didn't really figure out yet is how to record the video more than 10 sec. In soem reviews I have read that there are 2 options : one of 10 sec. and one unlimited, depending on the free memory left on the memory stick. It seems I am missing something since I can record video clips of only 10sec. Could somebody more experienced please give me advice how to chage these video settings. Thank you very much!

I bought one 2 days ago. It rocks. Minus could be the memory..internal memory is hard to acces. not like K500i. But remains state of the art in mobile branch. One minus is also T-mobile software.. I'm on orange and i couldnt acces wap or dedicated activity button.. at all. But No Problem. The package contains data cable, and adaptor for card reader. And with headset the quality is far more better. The radio is strong. At home, with previous phone (K700) i had medium strenght signal. Now it's stereo, RDS...clear and loud. overall... It's a good investment. I shoud keep it at least 1 year.(usualy i try new models..upgrading my mobile phone every 6 monts)

I have this phone for a few days, its working quite fine, a friend of mine as W800, we compared two phones, and its basically the same, 750 can also play mp3 alone without starting the phone. Quite nice of a phone. But when i tried deleting the contacts i had on the phone memory, it asked for phone password which is not the one u use to start the phone, does anyone know how to get the code? Thanks

Use your sony ericsson software and the file manager will allow you to put tones where they should be! but you said you have a T750I. I have not heard of these or was it a typo. You can still do it as a g: drive. Put it in the tones folder not mp3 folder (haven't used that yet, it was part of the software upgrade to have a folder on the memory card as MP3) Then you can find them in your phone and move them from there!! :) Hope this helps

Hold it there. The comments about this being a crap phone are unjustified. Bear in mind that rumours and harsh words left on a website can be very damaging to a company!! Maybe a person thinks a phone is crap, could be because they have very little sense? I have had my phone about 8 weeks and after reading through forums other people hi-lighted the ways to crash my phone. I was mad, to say the least. It WOULD crash as described. But then I found out I had the first software release. I did an update (on the sony erricson website.hint make sure phone is FULLY charged) and I have had no problems AT ALL since then. It wont crash it wont slow. I have made all my MP3 ringtones myself, I have found a site that offers about 300+ pay for java games for free download. Free themes. If I had paid for all the above I would be looking 30 games + 80 ringtones and themes I would be looking at well in excess of �300. I use about 90% of the phone and it has every function on it I need, Its easy to use. Its light. The camera is A1. It is such a well thought out phone. Yes every software has bugs. EVEN WINDOWS!!!! It is by far the best phone on the market for the price and blows the competitors out of the water!! To Summarise IT IS THE NUTS!!!!

To change Video length go into the camera go to settings scroll to shoot mode then select high quality video. This phone is the best I've had it three days and am still in love with it.

hey everyone! whoever is planning to but the d750i, hold it! its a piece of crap. it hangs and restarts all the time and doesn't update online. i've brought it down to india, and its working but what crap. i feel like throwing it in the dustbin. can anyone give me a link or something where i can download the firmware from or help me do anything else other that throwing it away.

Jane - my 1st D750i had the lock up problem and when I returned it, the new one was fine. There WAS an update on SE's website to bump it up to R1L002 but after a week, SE blocked people upgrading it. Either get another replacement or return it to t-mobile.

i am on my 2nd SE D750i and its freezing and going off..on its own accord i am seriously fed up [1] t-mobile dont want to listen [2] there is no D750i fix.. god knows when SE will realise and release it [3] im stuck!

Kymmy - It is extremely annoying. I called T-Mobile and reported it - they did nothing. Reported it to SE and they said it would be addressed in the next firmware. Well, i dont believe them so I flashed the device with the K750i firmware and all is working as it should now :)

upgraded to SE D750i last week since then it has been 'freezing' several times... i've read advice to go to SE website and download firmware fix.. but i get an error message not allowing me to do this... sorry randy you would need a UK address, and a UK credit history to take out a contract with T-Mobile you would have to purchase the phone outright for around �270 if T-Mobile had it in stock

A question to all that may help answer ... I live in the US however I'm VERY interested in the D750i to have it unlocked and used here. I wanted to know if anyone suggests any sites where I can buy the handset w/o contract otehr than ebay? Plus, would it be possible to order a phone from T-Mobile UK and sign up for a contract and get it delivered to my house in the US, and just default my contract and pay a cancellation fee? That way I guess I can keep the phone w/o having to return it ... if so how much is cancellation fee for T-Mobile? Thanks for the info guys.

anyone know when they'l b firmware to correct the whole non-transparent mobile jukebox icon? it is really annoying and it looks extremely out of place in the main menu. apart from that the d750i is a great phone! I have found that it froze up once. but knowing me that was probably my own fault. would be extremely greatful if anyone who finds out how to correct this could post on here

D750 is T-Mobile's bespoke varient of the K750. It is to all intents and purposes, the same phone.

If you upgrade, the only thing you lose are your shortcuts. Games, ringtones, themes etc all remain unchanged. Stoosh - SE pulled the update due to problems people were having. New update is due out sometime soon though.

Just curious, since this phone is almost similar to the K750i, how come on the ericsson website it does not indicate that the D750 is compatible with the Stereo portable handsfree HPM-70 which was shown on exclusively with the K750i? And Im still deciding whether to get this phone or not. By the way what stereo handsfree do any of you guys have for this phone to listen music with?

No more freezing since gettign a replacement device. Only problem is the Mobile Jukebox icon still doesnt have a transparent background so it shows a white box around it if u change the theme to a non-white background one. Reported to SE who said they will add it to the list of bugs. Since upgrading, phone volume is louder, menus are faster etc..

Stoosh - I got mine from the T-Mobile store in White Rose, Leeds on friday. Had to return it on Saturday due to it having the same problem as the K750i with it freezing. New handset works fine though. One thing I have noticed is that the Media Jukebox icon doesnt have a transparent background so if you have a theme with a non-white background, it shows a white square instead of the background behind the icon. A stupid bug that should have been tested! Let's hope there will be a firmware upgrade soon... Other than that, nice phone. And yes you can assign an MP3 to ring tone by replacing the BullsEye sound in Message Settings. :)

hey guys great phone!camera is top class..although the loudspeaker isnt that loud..can anyone help..i down load mp3 onto the phone via a usb supplied with the phone,mp3's are on the memory stick..yet the phone does not find them..if i down load them to my nokia then blue tooth them to the d750 then the phone recognises the mp3's..wierd!i've tried converting the files to pure mp3 and still no joy..even though this phone supports mp3..wav..acc..ect..ect ect so this should't be an issue...sony ericsson cant help ..t.mobile cant help..already changed the phone once..not really wanting to change for another model!!help me pleasssssssssssssssss..............

Stoosh - I picked up my D750i today from a T-Mobile store (I called T-Mobile and they ARE out of stock but their stores should still have some) and after 4hrs of it being on charge, it locked up like some of the other K750i's. It was on standby and I came back and whammo - frozen. Not done it since though...

Any comments on the D750 housing? It appears to be in the W800 case rather than the K750 case. Very strange decision. This implies the W800 has different internals from the K750 otherwise this phone would be the D800...

fink:D The D500 sucks compared to the d750i crappy cam;) bad commercials The d750i seems to hav same specs as the k750i and the w800i these three are the same hardware only differd housing. ofcourse some difference in software. The k750i nice bad lenscover d750 looks verry much like the w800i except you only get 64mb with it (w800i brings a 512mb card) And the d750i has a t-mobile menu both the w800i and the k750i donot It seems that w800 has some extra feature that you can play music without the phone function on(if you need a rest but still want music) I hope the d750i has the same because its only a software feature i'd get the d750i because its affordable has better lenscover (like w800i) and you can always buy extra memcard for it.

this is weird! if you compare D750 and K750, the spec are ALMOST exactly the same. the only noticable difference I can tell is the physical appearance of the phone! well, the K750 had radio with RDS (what does this mean?), but D750 only has a simple "radio". what do you guys think?!

No i dun think theres anything wrong with a little variety. This is what they called PERSONALIZATION. People who'd love more to music functionality can pick W800. Likewise for people who'd want phone functionality more can pick K750. As for D750 .. hehe .. business is business. Exclusivity to a service provider is their business issue. Hey .. no complaints here. That would just mean more spare parts around the world just in case anything goes wrong :) In any case, from the looks of specs and reviews so far around, this looks pretty neat :):):) *THUMBS UP* Now .. just have to wait for the pricing .. dun think i can afford whats the opening retail price :(

guys guys.. there's a reason why both companies merged.. i remember, cuz both complement each other.. Sony has always been good with presentation and the phones always were user friendly and graphical.. however the actual phone sucked.. the signal was bad, the phone disconnects and other phone-related issues.. now the Ericsson was quite the opposite.. it was a good phone in terms of connection etc.. but the interface sucked.. and it wasn't that user-friendly.. which is why they both merged and other "profitable" reasons as well.. but i think sonyericsson as a whole rocks.. very user friendly, good connection and usage, and the design is absolutely sleeeeek.. why should packaging and design be compromised for performance.. thumbs up
