i have mine, an almost-six-year-old SE K608i. That phone is really tough. three times fell from motorbike, many times from stairs, got wet from raining, and other accidents... Well, too bad only the microphone is broken, so i cant make a call anymore.

This phone has no LED Flash! It only has it's Photo Light, not flash. :) i have this phone and still using it now. :D it's superb! Only the memory is the problem. Haha. Do you guys have a hard time in it's battery life? I have mine that lasts only a day.

hello, i have this phone and i didn't use it for a long time. But recently i started using it again and there's a problem. Soon after i take a call and end it, the battery drains fast and goes empty in about 5 minutes. I took the phone to a shop and asked about it. They told me that my battery is fake and if i add an original battery, my problem will be solved. Is this true? Thanks in advance.

I have this phone since Christmas 2005 and I must say that this is one of the STRONGEST mobile phone ever and the LONGEST battery life!!! I was using a Nokia 3310 prior to that and it ate a lot of battery and needed daily charging. with K 60i, i just need to charge the phone only once every 3 days! Moreover, I can't remember the number of times I have dropped this cell phone inadvertently and it stills works. Very solid and robust I must say.Not many mobile phones on the market can deliver such terrific performance! The only problem I got when I first bought it was about the installation CD provided in the package but which didn't work on my PC. So I had to download the driver from the Sony Ericsson website. Although card slot to increase memory can be an issue for the immature adolescent, I will still happily go with my lovely K608i! :-)

I am an owner of SE K608i for almost 4 years now. I have many pictures and videos in my phone that I cant download to the cp for saving. My CP was purchased from SMART Wireless Center in SM Bicutan. However, the packaging has no CD installer for the unit. How can I transfer or download the files in my CP to the PC since the installer is not available in the internet. That's it! A good phone with small intern memry! Why s/e didn't make it like w550 for example. W550 has 256 mb internal memory. No need card slot since it is enough space to put about 60 songs (to hear more songs just tune to radio !) 32 mb isn't enough

I've had this phone for about 3 years now and the least I can say about it is 'WELL-DONE, SONY-ERICSSON!' This phone has never given me any problems in terms of either software or hardware (although sometimes I wish it had a card-slot). This set is perfect for ordinary use even though it has been in the market for quite a long time now.

I had also experienced that last year. I also thought that the sim-swap caused it. But, on the other side, I forgot and overlooked that my memory was already below 1 mb. What I did was, I took it to a cellphone shop, and inevitably they said my phone needed to be reformat. I did what they told me - No choice, dude!

i really am impressed at the durability of the phone it fell more than 20 times and one time it fell in a pail full of water and a long time but it didn't turn on i went to the sony ericsson repair shop and they said it was hopeless after 5 months i remembered a magazine reminder "how to save your cellphone" it said a cellphone can sustain wetness but the battery cant so i bought a battery and put it in the cp and it turned on i was so suprized

Except for the fact that they should've made it with an external memory slot to expand it's storage capability. I wish it had removable skin to replace it. Got a new W710i as a work phone a few weeks ago and have not yet used it at all: no in car charger, no flashlight that I have grown used to. Reception is quite good, speaker loud, radio & camera more than adequate for a phone, flash light very useful at times, but ringtones could be a lot louder. I am happy with the battery, although I'm not sure how much, since I racharge it in my car (nice to have the car charger included with the phone besides the regular charger). JAVA sometimes hangs, it is annoying a bit and memory is not enough to me. USB cable included is very handy, I download pictures to my PC. Overall, a very good phone for the $200 that I paid for it, very well optioned and cool designed.

I Bought Network 3 contract and they also gave me Sony Ericsson K608. I found it a complete cell phone. It has all the modern ficilities I wanted in a cell phone. It has high speed GPRS and Modem which is really the necesscity of the day. More over Video Calling without any jerk is rearly found in cell phones but in this cell phone i found and due to this quality my friends also bought this cell phone.

ive had the K608i since christmas 2006 at first i though it was great i was videocalling i was watching tv on the 3 service mms and so on but then i wanted to start putting applications on it, it was succecfull to start with i put basic apps on it they worked a couple of games i even put some bluetooth java apps on it and they worked a treat and then i heard about some of the web based java apps and i was really disapointed because i couldnt use them on the phone i was especially disapointed at not being able to use EQO a voip app for mobile with free international calls but it didnt work because of conection dificulties im finding it difficult to find an app that is internet based that works with this phone there are quite alot that dont work on the phone it may be the phone or the network but i cannot get the phone unlocked so i can try with a different network but it wouldnt work anyway because the 3 firmware will still be installed and there is no way of flashing that to a different firmware im dissapointed about that i still love the phone to bits its the best phone ive had in a long time i wouldnt go to another company other than sony ericsson they make real quality phones i may give up trying with the applications and the unlocking but if anyone has any answers to my problems with the phone email me plz on [email protected] or [email protected] or [email protected] thankyou from tom 16/m/uk

its a nice phone i can say but my hand piece has let me down on various occassions for instance it's runnning on planet 3 it has been going off on various occassions in the middle of a conversation untill recently when it went dead completely and on inserting the charger the led indicater turns red with no change. Is there anything i can do to it coz i cant imagine am losing it as it's part of me.

If you are planning to buy this fone, consider the ff disadvantages: 1. It can't play AAC audio format. 2. YOu can't use the front camera for taking pictures 3. You need a software upgrade to play live tv streaming (it plays only 3gp, rm is not supported) 4. Can't play mono sound/mp3 in an ordinary bluetooth headset *If all of those is not fine with you, consider buying K610i instead.

I had this fone for more than a year now. For a cheap fone, and if you only use it for its basic functionality --> it is really very good. Advantages: video calling, loads of applications/games from the internet, free themes anywhere, very good sound quality, very good speaker, it has usb, bluetooth, & IR for connectivity, can be used as modem for high speed internet, photolight can be used as flashlight. Disadvantages: no external memory (32MB intermal memory only), max of only 200 SMS can be stored, poor camera especially in dark environment, average battery performance, poor browser(use opera mini as browser).

For the comment further down that says the battery only lasts 3 days without even touching it then all I can say is either you are taking BS or you have a low capacity battery in your phone. I have this model and the battery will (after a year of ownership) still happily last 7+ days when not active. Talk time is around 3 or 4 hours.

eventhough i aint much a fan of sony ericsson i can garantee u that this phone is really really good ... the design is very kool ... well the battery is a bit weak i know its the same with most of the 3G phones ... (im using a samsung z510 and its equipped with 3G i have to charge it once per day ...) the battery may get weak and weaker when ur using the multimedia options such as the mp3 and video player and 3G its the same with most of the 3G phones ... but look at the bright side it gives u kool options to use plus 3G aint it ... if u wanna use the phone without charging u may forget about the multimedia options in it and u can save the battery life ... this phone is a bit low with memory and without an external memory slot ... thats the only trouble than that this phone is recommend to anyone ...

I bought this telephone and what can I say about it? 1. You can't extend memory (can't use memory cards) 2. There are those two keys so cleverly designed on both sides of the phone so that you may press them accidentialy each time you hold it and talk - and then you are online or you switch to a video conference - and of course you have to pay for something you didn't want to do at all. 3. There is one more key just under the display screen - that takes you directly online too 4.When you are in the menu and you press "music" or "games" icon it automaticaly goes online (again...) 5. Fully charged battery lasts only maximum 3 days but under the condition that you do not even touch the phone. 6. When you use it to talk for abaut an hour and maybe send several text messages the battery won't last longer than a day. 7. The music (mp3) is very low quality and very quiet, maybe it's the fault of the earphones you get with it? But you won't be able to use yours because it doesn't support 3,5 or 2.5 mm jacks 8. Radio is quite good but the sound quality (earphones??) and loudness are quite low 8. Keyboard is good because the keys are not so "condenssed" so it's quite comfortable to type 10 The phone looks quite nice

I have this phone. What can I say after changing it from my SE T65. What i like: 1.Sound quality is very good. 2.Clear and bright screen. 3.38mb memory for me its enough. 4.Flash light. What i hate: 1.Keyboard sucks when you write SMS, too little buttons, and is almost imposible to write a sms without looking at the screen. 2.In profiles you CAN NOT change sms alert sound. WHY ????????????????????? 3.No option to save or not sent SMS. It saves it anyway. 4.No function to "reply and delete" (SMS)

this phone is great! been using mine for 7 months now and still no problem. the battery is NOT WEAK, you just have to charge it properly. the only drawback is the absence of a memory card slot though. its a great phone, you wont regret buying it! oh and to maintain optimum performance, u have to restart it to clear some accumulated junk. like using a computer. rebooting is care.

I know what the problem is, you're using the wrong software to download your pictures, i was using K700 Dateimanager and i couldn't open the images, try using Sony Ericsson File Manager, it's slower but you can open the pictures in your PC, if you still have problems contact me at my mail, or on Y!Messenger

Great phone:)splendid sound quality, picture resolution, has almost every feature you'd want in the phone minus the memory card. Also you can't turn the 3G Network off which i only realized after i bought it, unlike in k600i where you can shift to GSM only. Sometimes the 3G can interfere with the phone signal, so you can't make calls or send text msgs while the 3G is on, which is, virtually all the time. I'm not able to use my phone for more than 2 weeks now because I Globe's 3G has a problem. Also my battery takes a day to get fully charged, it used to be only an hour. I have had the phone for only 6 mths. But it's a nice phone to have, also a cheap one considering it's 3G. Bought mine for only P8600(approximately $180).

Very recently I purchased this phone K608i and I�m happy with this at this time. Good points: 1. Style is good. 2. It has most of the features and it's very reasonable to have a phone for a budget with these features. 3. Good quality media player & Radio. Bad points: 1. Limited Memory 2. Takes long time to charge the batteries. 3. There is no mobile real player. 4. Little bit thicker in size. (But still it's OK) 5. Radio does not have an equalizer. (But still the sound quality is good) 6. it�s pointless to have start-up option without having enough memory to listen to MP3. Since, if you switch on the phone using music only option, the radio remains disable and cannot be enabled without switching on the phone... Overall, if memory was extendable, this phone would have hit the top... i'll give 7 out of 10.

R2Lx... guy below me... if SE will make changeable casings as you are saying, the phone will be less solid,.. prone to breakages when dropped and will be easily damaged than what you are saying as of now... IMAGINE: changeable covers could have movable parts or etc. and that may broke once a careless user tends to change it's covers... before i have a Nokia 3310 and my friend has 3100,.. sevral times that i fall it on the floor at least 3ft tall and know what happens? the interior casing broked damages the main board together with the messed-up external cover... i can't see any companies out there that produces style-up DIY changeable covers except nokia, and nokia isn't the best phone in durability but SAMSUNG,.. i am fan of nokia before due to it's popularity and user-friendliness in their line-ups but rather realized the potential of other companies such as this young SE,SAMSUNG and the new ASUS better than nokia... hope you understand what i've said...

Samuel: this is explainable: SE no longer put all features in one device since P990 and W900, they do it not just to have money, but to provide more stable units for their customers, please note that putting so many features would affect the platform or the OS work stable,.. in this case: basic features in a phone, when a person encounters bugs, can be fixed immediately and percentage of stability is far higher than all in ones... anyway k600 is alot cheap now, and if you need a memory card, there is a K618/K610 which is actually cheap and closely resembles k800 cybershot in it's platform... it only lacks radio and flash but there is an alternative: accesories...

The (very) weak points of this phone are camera and GSM signal reception. The camera is worthless in all but sunlight. If you take a picture in artificial light, it is fuzzy and with distorted colors. I live in a reinforced concrete building and it frequently misses calls due to poor reception (I am told in 3G it works better). Besides that, it's a great phone:)

i hav had this phone for about one month now, and its great! the camera's pretty gud, i especially like the 4x digital zoom capability while u video. no problems with the battery life, i use it for about 4 days havin' it switched 'on' for abt 16 hours a day. The only downside is the 32MB memory (bt i found tht quite sufficient)and the fact that u need to attach the handsfree to listen to the radio. But overall, considering its price (i bought it in Sri Lanka for about $189), i think its a pretty good deal.

got this thing at a cheap price Php 8k. i like its black cover sleek. a lot of people gave good comments bout my new phone. as usual it has setbacks even though it has mp3, 1.3mp, fm radio, 3G... downside it is easily scratched "plastic", display response is quiet slow, the joystick tsk tsk but its fine just maneuver it gently. the memory...tsk tsk too small this wouldve been better if it has a card slot...the camera is good, the tft display is very good. well, its worth it still...

I really love this handphone. Especially since Sony Ericsson recently just launch the black color which makes it look more like K750i, and the rest of the black series hi-res camera phone from Sony Ericsson. Its easily connected to bluetooth device, and also provided with USB data cable and CD software PC-Sync which makes it more accessible for file sharing. Since the price is quite cheap now, it turn out to be one of the best handphone I've ever purchased. The only problems are the memory size and the fact that the front camera doesn't take pictures, only for 3G calling. I thought that I can use the front camera for taking pictures but it doesn't. Anyway, it looks great!

bought a k610i 'bout 3 months ago. great features, easy to use, and very cheap for a 3g phone, but it just gets activated automatically for the 3g and unlike k600 or other se phones i found out it doesnt have the option to select gsm only. i have no network signal;cant send messages nor make calls for 2 weeks now...globe says they have a problem with the 3g and since i cant deactivate the 3g because there's no such option in the phone, have to wait till globe has the 3g glitch fixed bec the 3g interferes with the signal. i did see some users here saying they can deactivate the 3g..how do you guys do that?

Market, what only disappoints me is its limited possibilities unlike the SPVs(SAP & VOYAGER)which can be customized for your satisfaction. I have already found out that it is just normal for the Activity menu to not appear immediately when you press its button. I'm glad that there is a downloadable manual for K608i in the Sony Ericsson site. I've known it there!

I just bought my K608i phone 2 days ago. I downgraded from an O2 XDA Mini to this unit. I decided to buy this because this is the cheapest 3g phone that I have ever seen. I love all its features. I don't care about having only 1.3 MP of its camera resolution. Through the past years, I have been using SE mobile phones. I have used SE K700i and SE K750i. I decided to change to an O2 XDA Mini, but I was not that satisfied due to some features that are not present in the latter. When I heard of this K608i, I began to like it. I sold my XDA and bought this one. I still haven't seen any flaws, but I was just wandering with the Activity Menu button. When I press it, the Activity menu does not appear immediately. Instead, I have to press and hold the Activity Menu button for about 2 seconds I think to make the display appear. Is this normal. Please confirm. The activity menu button I am referring to is the one in the right side. Is this also true with the button on its opposite side? Please let me know! Thanks!

K608- No internal memory. The nice feature is the 3G only. I guess, this fone was built for affordabilty in terms of price- but not feature. You see, this is a new fone but the mpix camera was downgraded (1.3 mpix only). The back cover for the camera is just like that of the old K500i. I got w800 with 2mpix cam instead and find the feature far higher than this new K608.

There is hope for joystick problems! Had K750i for almost a year. Heavy gaming (1-2 hrs/day). After 7 months the joystick started to malfunction. Studied the problem and found the solution: just blow with your lips or a special air spray around the joystick and the dust particles that are causing the malfunction will be removed or at least moved and the joystick funcionality will surely improve. Just try!

Great phone, lots of features, im on the 3 network so great value, no problems at all. Had it turn itself off and back on again once, but it was my fault.. My battery lasts about 3-4 days, trick is to run the battery RIGHT down, until it cant be turned on again, and then fully charge it. Try leaving the phone keypad locked and on silent until you need to use it.. very happy with the k608i

I love all its features plus the price. Although the memory is not that important to me, it would have been better if there is a slot for upgrade to be used by people who love storing files on their cellphones. The main flaw of this unit (for me) is the design of the keypad. It would have been better if the keys were lifted a bit more.

Just bought the phone last week, found it a very good phone indeed, light weight and handy and yet features packed, vivid display, good quality 1.3MP camera, long lasting battery. The only thing negative is the lacking of extension memry slot, but that's acceptable unless you intend to carry a few dozens of MP3s in the phone with you.

SO KAWAII!!!! the phone feels so good when you hold it, it fits comfortably in your hand and the features are great although the secondary camera is only for video call unlike nokia. i cant transfer themes from other phones though....the theme file is always corrupt...*sigh*

I got k608i recently and its been fantastic, but the installation CD did not come with the pack, the one i downloadced from the net could not be installed on my system. Can someboby help me to have a copy of the CD or download that is not infected. Please can the phone be connected to PC and use to browse? I think the phone is great with its features and simplicity of use. Mobile operators are not yet on 3G network in Nigeria, but the 2.5G being presently offer works well with the phone. Good phone.

I bought the SE K608i three days ago and the phone seemed like a great deal until I discovered a problem with its Phone Book functionality. It basically matches incoming/outgoing numbers to contact names by using the last 7 digits of the numbers. If you have 2 contacts with phone numbers where the last 7 digits match, it messes up. Here in India cel operators offer similar phone numbers to existing customers and there are may, many people who have phone numbers where only the first few digits differ (for example, 98xxxxxxxx and 99xxxxxxxx). This has ruined my experience with the K608i. I'd be glad if someone could offer a solution. Here's how you can recreate the problem on your set: Create and save a contact called Moe with the mobile number 9812345678. Create and save another contact called Joe with the mobile number 9912345678. Now go to the standby screen and dial the number 9912345678 manually. According to our Contact List, this number belongs to Joe. But when you dial it, the phone displays Moe. Similarly, when you receive an incoming call from Joe's numner (9912345678) the phone displays Moe again.

Hands down, SE is the price-performance winner. The mix of features and the *price* leaves the competition in the dust. Good screen size and resolution, decent 1.3MP camera, bluetooth & IR connectivity, radio, organizer, and mp3 & 3G support.. A complete package because the cable and headphones are included. Nice! 32MB is good enough for me even without MMC support. Top that!!

the phone's great! it's not totally the best phone there is but it works well for me.. the 32MB internal memory is not too big but I don't care because I have the sony ericsson w800i where I store my mp3s.. hehe.. anyway, the screen is stunningly crisp and clear like my w800i.. the phone 1.3 megapixel camera is not too bad either.. not better than my 2 megapixel camera from my w800i but it's clear enough.. the sound is quite audible.. the keypads are pretty enjoyable to use! the keypads are better than the k600i.. k608i's keypads are more comfortable.. and who would forget about its 3G capability! works great!!!! :) been doing video calls and internet browsing in my laptop using my k608i.. also, what i like about sony ericsson cellphones that nokia cellphones can't do is the Remote Control capability! you can use your sony ericsson cellphone to control your computer's powerpoint presentation, media player, and desktop! you can use the joystick to control the mouse! you have left and right click too.. how cool is that??? top that nokia! :p

you cant use this fone in SMART'S 3G streaming it always says connection failed, why? because it cant play .rm, realone of nokia can play 3gP and .rm thats the only prob, but what is the purpose of streaming if you cant save it, you can only watch it, thats it... that was my experience upon using this fone compared to nokias 3g phone, i love this fone because you can change your image when you are using your videocall, try me +639283834431, lol adios gudlak

i think it a great phone apart from the lack of a memory slot and how it crashes all the time.if you want to fit more mp3 on it try ripping the tracks in mono and at a load bit rate.i play 3d rendered games on it (like the ones fishlabs.com make) but find you have to turn the phone off and on to clear the memory.miniopera and mobile gmaps (google earth mobile) work fine on it. oh yeah ,i'm a bit hard of hearing and its a bit quite.

Hi to all!!!sony ericsson phones are really technology wise phones compare to all other brands dont get mad if k608 does not have memory expansion.Im working on a service center and most of the phones experiencing hanging angd memory corruption is due mainly on memory card file corruption and if that happen it could really affect also ur phone memory and also could damage ur internal memory chips.This is just a simple advice be content dont download too much file mp3,pictures,videos,games,themes because it could make tour phone prone to memmory corruption.

A hidden feature of this phone K608 which most users are not aware of That is; it has a bultin black list option, it means u can receive calls only from the list that u have created in that option & the contacts that r not in the list would receive the busy tone signal or a messege from the network provider, here in Pakistan, the messege sounds as (the line is busy, plz try later), u can activate this option by: go to setting> Calls > Manage Calls> Accept calls> press ONLY FROM LIST, after doing this the phone will ask to add contacts & take u to the phone book, select the contacts or groups u want to receive calls from, u can add a maximum of 12 contacts & if u want to add more, than u have to create groups in the phone book & than add them as a group....by doing ur phone will ring only if someone from the list calls u, & if someone who is not in the list, u will receive a missed call,.... bye... (This feature is also available in all SE 'K' series phones)...if u have any questions, u r wellcome

zendrix, the 10 pesos per 30 mins is offered by smart for gprs and 3g users, whenever you acces wap or html in your phone, this rate is automatically charged once you've started and ended 30 minutes surfing outside the smart wapsite... another 10 pesos for 30 minutes after surfing half an hour... jst download the GPRS/3G settings if you still have no settings. i have been using opera mini 2.0 for my HTML browser, you can download it to getjar.com... and about the k608 and k750, i'll say to you k750 really rocks! it's a perfect imaging phone with the best 2mp autofocus camera and a looks similar to a cybershot camera, perofrmance, feature-packed phone even without 3g is really the best... u sed u dont wnt 3g by dis tym... so get k750 if u will tell me... k608 have performance similar and identical(same quality mp3,video etc. to k750, theyre both functionaly identical except some differences such as 3g, memory card and camera quality. k608i takes good quality pics and is comparable to nokia 6680 and 6630... and k750 takes better pics than Nokia n90, have tried this before... ope dis elps...

i posted a message here a few days ago asking a question. now im back to answer it. hehe. (for the Philippines only) if u "accidentally" bought this unit with the symbol "3" on it, chances are u cannot use the radio and other applications. i suggest u go to greenhills, if its accessible to you, and have the phone reprogrammed to match the k608i phones tailored for philippine use. u do need to shell out 500 pesos (at least). there are a lot of stalls who can offer this kind of service. they also offer such services as games installation, mp3 donloads, etc. hope this helps.

I have been a Sony Ericsson phone user for quite sometime now. And this phone, by far is one of the greatest phone that Sony Ericsson has ever come up with. It's not as great as K750i, It doesn't have an internal memory capacity as what K700i has. but it certainly has some cool features that made this phone extra unique. Two thumbs up for Sony Ericsson!

I like the design of the SE but the draw back is the narrow TFT display of it. Why can't the SE design a unit with big screen just like Nokia. SE unit possess crisp audio and clear video attributes. For SE unit, please improve the size of display(enlarge).

Well the phone uses more than 1900band. if you look at its descriptions it says: UMTS / GSM 900 / GSM 1800 / GSM 1900 No 850. So no, not possible to switch to 850 since there is no hardware for it in the phone.

I purchased this phone online for use with the Cingular network in the US. Unfortunately I can not get it to connect to the network and was informed by the seller that the phone is not compatiable with Cingular. (K608 uses GSM 1900 and Cingular is on GSM 850.) Bad features: Memory, In some cases Software. About Software: Everytime u need to swap between T9 and normal mode when u'll try to save one's name. There is no shortcut key to do that. U have to do it using a pop-up menu and pressing the buttons several times.

@sweet cherry : May be u should return the unit, i think there is a problem with FM Radio.. @me : the dif is - the body - the package (in the package k608 have usb cable, k600 is not).. that's all.. i think.. My tips for sound to reduce memory used : - Used mp4 (48kbps, 44.000khz, Mono -> quality is good to hear). I think the quality sound a little bit is same with mp3 (96kbps 44.000khz Stereo), the size mp4 is 40% than mp3.

Yes the phone supports video recording. Yes the phone supports video calls. If people can't hear you talk then you've accidentally pressed mute (C during a call), or you have a buggy phone. This phone is great. Had mine almost a week now. It lasted 2.5 days of almost constant use, and now lasted 3 days with less use, reporting 53% full. Camera quality is acceptable - it's a phone after all, and the feel and quality are great. Menus are nice and intuitive. Great phone. Particularly for its price.

Hi Haris you can change it by opnening your camera and switch it to video making mode ok. Then go to the shoot mode and then there will be 2 options u have to choose the option of ;;;high quality video;;; ok then u can make it for i mean to say upto 17 min ok and i am in Pakistan too

i have a k600i. what i did to make the video long is i set the the video to high quality video. go to the video mode then click settings then instead of "for picture message" choose the "high quality video". i hope that helps with k608i....

Worst phone I've ever had. The ringtone is so quiet on top volume that I've missed most of my calls and the vibrate isn't strong enough to feel through my backpack - every other phone has been fine. What use features if you can't get your calls.

Sony Ericsson phones are no where near as user friendly as Nokias. This phone has many features but are too cumbersome. Takes forever to send sms', and too difficult to put on speaker phone if someone calls you (especially when driving). Oh for some reason I always find the phone turned to browser mode which means I have to press the menu buttons 3 times to get out of it. It should have the traditinal green (call) and red (off) buttons as well instead of the two - (minus) buttons which work from the screen. I'll stick to Nokia from now on

actually its a good strategy. they didn't include memory slots because it would increase it's value. SE's strategy is to penetrate the market with state of the art phones like K608, k600i, etc. that is affordable to everyone. it would beat Nokia's 6680 and N70 because it is sold at a higher price. Like K750i it is sold cheaper compared to N90's or other 2.0 megapixels by NOKIA. SE's is not dumb. they're aware of the lack of memory slots, that's why they provided free USB cables and using them in your PC is a breeze.

Don't be fooled by the good-looking nature of this phone!! What a waste - a phone that looks great but is SUCH a disappointment. I have a 3g contract and have both this phone and the Z800i. What a diiference... the 608i is not in the same league as the Z800i. If you are contemplating signing a contract and think that the K608i is the phone for you then think again. It may be uglier but the Z8000 is far superior in every department other than looks. I know I have both!!

hero handset!!! i work for t-mobile uk + this fone is on promo with huge commisions- but the best thing is is that it actually is a quality fone, supports 1.3meg camera,video, mp3, bluetooth, infrared,radio. apart from the memory i wud say it easily competes with 6230i for features. s-e my new faves. of course i will b waiting for w900 insted but hey, i aint tellin the customers that.

Does anyone know how to extend the lenght of the message alert tone on this handset? I'm using an Emmerdale ringtone, which plays for 19 seconds on my Nokia 6230i, but only plays for around 10 seconds on this phone.

This handset has so many great features such as the bluetooth, 3G etc but even more than these is the fact that I can shove it up my fanny and use it as tampon when I'm on the blob or else just switch on the vibrate function to pleasure myself.

what a phone !!! just buy this phone for couple of days, i found no weakness in my phone, the OS is good, the battery can stay 'bout 3 days long. the design is perfect, more stylish than K600i I think. two thumbs up for sonyericsson......

I have just got the 608i and it seems pretty good. On trying to use vidoe call the party is always engaged but ok for voice calls. Maybe not set it up right. Only real problem I've found is thr ring tones are too quiet. Even on full volume it's hardly as lound as my previous phone on setting 2.

Had one for about a month very good phone and great camera, very easy to set pc synchronisation. Only down side is a lack of web browser but that is a '3' issue rather than handset

you can't buy it in United states, it is avaibale only in Asia pacific and European Market via "3". I suggest not to buy to use it in U.S...rather buy K750i.

transfering mp3's via usb cable is really simple. when the mobile is connected to the pc, you will find that theres an extra drive added to "My Computer". now simply copy and paste the file form your music folder to the extra drive. and wha lah... its done.

This phone is pretty good. i hav been using it for abt 1 week and i m pretty satisfied. but of course it has its own disability. 1,theres no mirror for the camera. 2,u cant change the menu icons so, it gets boring after sumtime. 3,no memory card slot but i m sure SE has its own reasons. Anywayz, this phone is an average 3g phone and i m pretty satisfied.

the camera quality is just average. Z800 is better in quality, but both phone can take picture at night with the flash. Z800 has a brighter flash though since it has 6 diodes, and K608 only has 1 but it is very bright. I don't understand why it is so popular lately here in australia (it is put in the same plan with Z800).

i agree with chamacoman. I just compare it yesterday (my fren has that) with my cousin's Z800 and i found that Z800 is alot better than K608.

Don't be fooled by the good-looking nature of this phone!! What a waste - a phone that looks great but is SUCH a disappointment. I have a 3g contract and have both this phone and the Z800i. What a diiference... the 608i is not in the same league as the Z800i. If you are contemplating signing a contract and think that the K608i is the phone for you then think again. It may be uglier but the Z8000 is far superior in every department other than looks. I know I have both!!

hey friends i have brought this new mobile k608 its fantastic i got this from 3 no matter that there is no memory slot but its ok this phone is awesome has a flash i can click clear pidtures at night also believe me friends i am very happy thanks to three for giving this phone at such a low line rental just for 17.50 pounds for 6 months and 35 there after....... according to me the line rental should be atleast 100........... thank bye

I have beenusing the K608i for a week and a half. Besides its lack of memory card slot and so so battery life, need time to get use to joy stick, relatively weak ringtone speaker, it is a wonderful phone. The camera is decent for its class. File transfer lives up to its quickshare name: fast easy and simple. Clear and Easy to use interface, fun functions, simple straight forward java game installation. To me, its BIGGEST draw back is the battery, while the same battery lasted over 2 and half days of continous operation on the K750i (60 + hours), the K608i would only live about 35 to 40 hours, thats a day and a half or two days max if u switch the phone off during sleep! My old LG last as long as the 2g k750, that why K608i was so disappointing! A more powerful battery is needed to unleash this phone! The 3G net download speed is realtively slow compare to LG NEC handsets and even Moto phones i own.

I've just found out that the only difference between this phone and the K600 is that this phone has 370h of stand by while the K600 has 300h. Is that the only difference besides the size/design?

I've had this phone for more than a month now and out of all the 3G phones in UK this is the best package. Only 2 problems, it's kinda easy to press one of the 2 side buttons when doing a voice call and it sometimes disconnect your call as the result. The response time is not the quickest.

hi there, i was trying to decide weather to choose between the SE k750 or the K608i? although im currently on 3G in Australia and i dont mind about having a Memory stick port in the fone, coz i own an NEC e616 (shocking phone) and it has a memory card slot, and i dont hardly use it, i only mainly use the fone calls, sms and stuff, not that much of the "3 network" stuff. so yeah, i would like an advice from you guys before i make my choice, either between SE k750 or k608i (both phones are kool btw) hope you guys can help, thanks

and SE should consider putting EDGE inside this phone... it will be the greatest phone ever 8-))... Currently no EDGE phone offering from EDGE, especially if u don't have seamless 3G coverage yet...

From the reviews, the pix, I know this will be another great phone from SE.. I've own 2 SE (ericsson) before - T39m (the best smallest, complete GPRS phone ever - bluetooth, IrDA, GPRS) and the Z600... its been ggod experience... the only lacking in K608 is a cerd slot which is a must nowadays... but if SE gonna put their proprietry MS Duo/Pro slots, then I'll will still not buy this phone... why not give buyers choice and put a combo MS with other slot ie MMC/SD/transFlash etc... then it will beat nokia hands down... that IMHO

The K60X phones are pretty much the same phones with minor differences in design , but they are beeing released for different operators. V600 is also the same phone but for Vodafone.

I think the K600, K608 & V600 all the same function, just only the looks different & some minor changes like the batt stand-by time. Anyone know when will the K608 come out? Out of three, I like the K608 the most.

I think this is actually a better looking phone than k600 and I have no idea why are you people giving this a much lower rating than the k600,the only difference is k600 got 5 megabyte higher than k608 but in contrast, k608 has a few more hours of standby time than k600. So I think I would sacrifice 5 megabyte for a better battery efficient phone.

Do they think that they have developed a new phone. I don't agree with them... Well... you can compare it with SE K-600 and find out yourself. Only the Dimensions and a little more Shared Memory is the difference. Changing your face does not change your personality or nature... lol!
