The display screen not work: I have one too. I think the screen cable jạck ís loose, you should be removed it's cover, then remove the small screen cable jack from main board, carefully clean it then re-install. It has alitle bit difficult for manipulation if you have not any experience. Good luck, friend!

ahmm,., the original battery of this model had been out of the market for a long time even in other countries,., but i may suggest a battery that can replace ur recent battery,., its the green power series,., truly amazing,., though its only a class a battery, it can last for 2-3 days in standby mode,., and a day if ur continue using it playing musics, txting for hours,.

This was one of the best phones that i ever had.I had it for almost 3 years,and it worked like a dream.To be honest it was far from SE xperia x1 that i'm using right now ,but it was very good! Unlike todat touch screen phones it was very hard to use with fingers,and without pen you were lost.Luckily,p910 had a keyboard....It used to be very expensive,but now ,7 years later i can buy it i Serbia ,used offcourse,for 15 to 30 e.

try to format your internal drive by working on the jog dial and "*" key. Go up, * down down, *, down, *...then select 3 for format internal and see if it rectifies your problem. Good Luck

i think the phone's great except for the web speed and bluetooth connections. Iv had mine for a year now and its been working great though my external keypad somehow stopped working and just last night, my screen jammed!! i mean literally froze! i cant use the 'touch' function plus i have never been able to download a video from y**tube....internal server error....please help! what should i do...

you can check for opera mini 5, but you must see the platform, i use w950 and it works, remember that p910's platform is same as w950, Symbian UIQ but the version is not same,

I really don't know if you can upgrade the firmware now. A few years ago when the s-e server had this option, you could have done it, but now...I tried and nothing. Anyway it's a good phone, I have it for more than 4 years and it still works very good, battery life is good, somewhere between 2-4 days, depends upon usage. I removed the keypad after one year because of the thickness, but I didn't encounter any problems with it. I like this phone a lot. I hope I'll upgrade to S-E X8 if nothing else interesting is going to come on the market :)

In my opinion yes! If you like more the P910 you should make a chance and change ur 9300 for this one. It was my dream phone 5 years ago, but i couldn't buy it at that time because it was very expensive at about 1.000$ or more.But i have this phone for 2 years now(it was a gift from one of my best friends and i was very enthusiastic).Its a SUPER MOBILE PHONE, with an briliant touch screen, an high quality mp3 player who sounds very very GOOD! I tried web browsing on this one but just a couple of minutes. I wached a short movie on y**tube and i search something on g**gle. Its hasn't a very very high speed but u can use the internet very well. The photos and videous are not very well almost poor because its a VGA camera. U can put a memory stick dou card up to 2 gb i see but i dont know if this information is true BUT it supports 1 GB, i have 512 and its enought for me. The messages are very easy to write with the QWERTY key board but u can also use the hand-writing and the virtual key-board(thats how u can write the messages on the ''flip open mode'' and one the flip closed mode u can text messages using the normal key-board. the screen is big for a normal mobile phone but i see its a little bit small for the smartphones in our days.I remarked that this phone never freeze(never block) and its pretty fast on the ''flip open mode'' Weel overall its a briliant phone, its still pretty good even in our days (2010) while it was releast in 2004. The music sound like....WOW. Its loud and very clear especially the sound of the drums....I know the 9300 too its a great phone but i like the P910i more. well that all fox! Hope u will forgive me for my bad english. Bye-bye!

Im a mobile browser user and tested these apps as working/loading fast in my p910i: ucweb 7.0, operamini (ver2.06, v3.12mod, v4.2 multiwindow and download capable) the upload/download are good enough for this phone�s speed. The best gprs phone indeed. I also use repligo viewer to convert and read any pdf ebook its much faster than the veeerry slow default pdf+. The best phone for me. I bought it for only 26US Dollar in the Philippines with 2GB mspro dou. packed with lots of games, apps, mp3 and mtv videos. Very small price with powerpack features.

Sony Ericsson P910i is the best phone I ever have. I bought it for only P1,300.00($28.00) from Greenhills here in Philippines a month ago. Tested to run a lot of apps like Tracker and Handy Day 2005, PowerMP3, Opera6.3(this is my favorite browser and the one I used in posting this review), psiloc IRremote, PocketPainter, SmartMovie,Coreplayer, Mobi pocket reader(ebook), 5 popular mobile dictionaries, Netquin Antivirus, Gobible plus lots of other apps, games like DOOM, MetalBlaster2, MartialArts3d, DaVinciCode3d plus lots of 2d and 3d games. All apps and games runs fast from my 4GB generic micro sd using MS Pro Dou adapter card also loaded with 400 mp3s, 25 3gps, 32 mp4s and 35 avi videos. The sound are very clear and loud enough. Display are clear and the camera/video capture are also clear despite of its low pixels rate. The original battery are still there and gives me more than 3hrs of internet use before charging. Touchscreen is very responsive. Plugging my earphone produce a crystal clear sound of treble and bass. I like this phone better than my Nokia N73. The only disadvantage is the slow internet, camera and without radio still this is the best old touchphone for me.

Had this phone for a while now, Its good for what it is, Add TomTom to it and it will get you from a to b without a hassle. My only concern is the battery, it doesn't last all that long, and needs replacing at least every 6 months to keep it usable thru the day, but barring that, its a damned good phone. Nice and clear usable display ( just forget about the keypad, unless you have kiddie fingers )

Now I am painting a used cover and parts in silver glossy. Needs a lot of time and skills to unassamble that phone. if you try, make photos of each step, to find the way back to a running handy. This phone is the ultimate in business technology, I just lost mine which I've had since 2003. About the battery life, I've found that if you keep the bluetooth or infared on, the battery will run down quickly. The same applies to the amount of down loads, the amount of music plays, and extensive amounts of phone calls. The phone has a processor which uses alot of battery power. I hope tis helps.

"Is there any new 3G phone that can compare with the P910i?" Yes. The Motorola A1000 is pretty similar. I've owned both - but I think I slightly preferred the A1000! Both are about the same size, have BIG touchscreens. But the A1000 also has a better camera and 3G for the Web.

yes the keypadcan be removed there is a small screwdriver in the box.as well as a smaal plastic piece that clips on once the keypad is removed.keypads are generally faulty so i found it easier once i removed mine

org pizza, the key pad can be removed & used fully with the touch screen, but if you love your phone & willing to but leather pouch complete with wipe cloth then no worries...the baby would look fine.... if not your screen would notch with scratches in its screen & use of stylus must come in handy for you guys..

I have this phone for a year now, its a great phone but i cant find any games for it. I only have 3 games. Hope they create P920 an upgrade of P910 and upgrade the keypad cause its easily broken, upgrade the camera to 2 or 3mpixel make the speaker more loud and increase the battery life. I have always been Sony E's freak especially version P types...out of all i have used for my need..P910 is always my favourite. Being the owner of my 910unit for nearly 2 years. i never had a complain bout it. I even have the olde version of P800, P900 & even P990 still kept with me. But out of all that P910 is always my pride...thanks sony E, my llife begins only sony E P910 alarm ( which is the only alarm device which manages to wake me up ) and walk along with me till night sleeps & my P91 baby sleeps in between me and my wife... i love them both & its incomplete in my life...

what you dont do is hold onto the qwerty keyboard becuase then it would snap off, you hold onto the phone with one hand put your other hand round the keyboard and type with that hand. i had this phone and then it fell out my pocket into teh road and you can guesse what happened next. It is a bit big and my friends at school called it a brick but it is a cracking phone. the only problem with it was the internet didnt work coz it was origanally for vofafone(the one i had, not all models) i had a virin sim. it had been unlocked though

this is the only non-nokia phone that i have owned for the longest time. i've had nokia 3210, 3310, 5210, 7650, 7210, 6600, 7610, 3230, n91, n81 8gb, n82, and sony ericsson p910i over the past 8 years. what i can say about p910i is that it's pretty tough phone. i've had it for 3 years now. screen is huge but not so bright. sound quality through the headset when playing mp3s is very good. battery life is the best. no nokia phones i've owned can ever match up against p910's battery life. it lasts a full week with a single charge on moderate use. it lasts a whole day on heavy use like web browsing. my n82 will last only 2 days on moderate use and only 4 hours on heavy use. but p910i is quite slow in opening applications and executing commands. btw, my p910i's battery shows 1260mah of battery capacity not 1100 mah as shown in the specs sheet.

The maximum card memory accepted is not 1 Gb it is 2 Gb (just talked with the tehnical support dep. at sony ericsson). yes you can have that settings 320*240 size, it should still give you a good quality. i have 1gb on my p910 and i'm planning to upgrade to 2gb. it says so that p910 supports up to 2gb memory stick. it's great! more music, more photos, more videos, and even more applications!

I bought a Sony Ericsson P910i just last month. Yeah it is a second hand unit but it's good. I'm loving it so much I can't find any other phone that can compete with it other than another sony ericsson phone. I bought a 1 gb memory stick and it's superb. more photos and more videos. someone told me it even supports a 2gb memory stick but i doubt cause i haven't really tried. anyway. i should find out soon because i want more memory for my phone. i've been watching episodes of gossip girl with its big screen, it's a really superb. i would have wished for a wifi and megapixel cam but this is just perfect the way it is. i'm gonna buy another sony ericsson the next time. thanks sony ericsson!

This unit has already been discontinued. As a former user (in fact all P-series), I would suggest to buy P990i which is now very cheap but truly a great smartphohe and/or PDA. I have not changed my P990i since its successor is P1i which I don't like it. I might keep my P990i and at the same time wait for XPERIA X1.

As a happy former user of the P910i, I would strongly agree with buying this phone - It really is excellent! Although it has not been succeeded by the P990i and P1i, it still beats a lot of competing smartphones, because of its simplicity. If you can afford it, you may prefer the P1i, however the P990i is riddled with problems - a few minutes going through google shows this. You can pick a good condition P910i up on ebay for around �30 these days...watch out for the Vodafone ones, as Vodafone brand the phone. Hope this helps. Matt

Hi Guys. I am now on my 3rd S.E. P910i and I think that they are truly brilliant phones.. The previous 2 have been passed on to other family members cos' they are just so useful. I have even sold my replacement P990i and bought another P910i as the screen was just to small! First lets identify its out-dated features. Horrendous battery life & poor Stand-By compared to the latest generation of phones. But this is only when the Bluetooth is On! It can last upto 3 times longer if the BT is switched off. To be honest I usually carry a spare battery (cheap to buy) or use the car charger when driving. The reverse (qwerty) side of the solid flip down keypad is very fiddly for fast Texting or Email; but the front facing numerical keypad is excellent for dialling & functions Either way the keypad is very easily removed allowing for complete 'Touchscreen' input of all functions or use the 3rd option which is the fantastic Sony 5-way 'Jog Dial'. How many phones can offer 3 different ways to make calls; input data & access funtions? The actual body/casing was limited to a few unexciting colours and can look shabby after a year or so but plenty of replacement cases and covers are available on Ebay & Internet! No built in Radio Function. However a SE plug in FM radio is only �10/�15 In todays market the big let down really is the lack of 'Wireless-LAN'.. It is now to be found on the the replacement model (of the P910i) the P990i allowing connection to Internet Hotspots.. If only you could transfer the replacement SE P990i wireless connectivity to the P910i then it would still be a world beater. There is a 1.0MP (yes a 1 Mega Pixel) camera fitted and Not an 0.3MP as is incorrectly and commonly stated. It may not seem powerful by todays standard but when it was designed for a 2004 launch it was up there with the best of the rest and made it a pretty good video-cam too. Its a shame there wasn't a 2MP camera upgrade here to match a stunning 256k Colour Display Screen..(=0.3MP) See, this is where everyone gets confused!! This phone has it all and is very user friendly. Starting with the usual Bluetooth hands-free headset functions to the easy set up for Voice Dialling from the Contacts list, (which include photo association) and MMS. Then on to the PDA capability to synchronise to a PC/Laptop or download zipped files and programmes from the PC/Internet using its efficient Symbian Software via the dedicated USB/Cable SE Docking Station; or Bluetooth and Infra-Red connectivity. Symbian also allows for GR8 replay of Music in MP3 format or will play Recorded VHS or DVD Films and TV programmes in MP4 or 3GG formats via the external Sony MS cards. (Up to a 2GB max capacity - NOT 1GB max) In 3GG format that is large enough to record over 3 x 2 hour DVD movies (without menus & extras) or for another example; it can store all the European Maps for TomTom 5 Sat-Nav on just one of these 2GB Sony MS cards. On the Sony P910i the TT5 Sat-Nat GPS system is operated by the Touchscreen & transmitted via the built-in Bluetooth to any (matchbox sized) portable Bluetooth GPS Receiver that you can carry in your pocket or the car. With clear verbal (driving/walking/cycling) instructions from the loudspeaker function (or wired earphone) in conjunction with the clear colourful moving maps displayed on its excellent screen, this makes the P910i a GR8 compact portable Sat-Nav Player. Also MP3 Music can be transmitted wirelessly to all current Bluetooth Headphones.. BT fold-up Keyboards R GR8 4 Emailing & SMS. Printers & other Non-BT devices etc equipped with a simple BT Dongle can also be easily connected to the P910i.. So in my honest opinion this is still a very clever robust and versatile device. I have never had more trouble with a piece of equipment than with this P910. I have had it since November 2004 and just endless trouble. 1. I cannot get the voice volume to an acceptable level. 2. My husband will be right next to me and have coverage and I will not from the same provider. 3. I have never been able to get it to sync with my computer. It doubles up on names and addresses. 4. Even the backup software is a problem that works intermittent. I can go on but what is the point I just hope that no one else ever buy this make again as it is not worth it. On top of everything the phone cost me quite a lot... Very disappointing.

The best phone, from the perspective of ease of use. 5 way jog dial functions so fabulously that once you get used to it, you can never use any other phone. I hope Sony-Ericsson never abandon this 5 way jog wheel & incorporate it in the newer models as well.Battery life is very good. The upgrade I would like to see is a slimmer, black & camera-less (cameras in cells is such a stupid idea).Hope Sony Ericsson is listening.

You can set up the keyboard in the settings page, it will ask what the top line of your keypad is, eg. qwerty or for some reason there are alternatives (such as qwertz) for different countries i would imagine. Choose the keypad layout that suits your board.

Hello! P910i is a good mobile but when we add music,videos and many other things in it, then it becomes slow.It is my advise to you not to buy P910i.I have brought W980i since one month and i have stored music,videos and many other things and it is still working fast.

@Abbas Bangash - Yes, bugs can be fixed through updating the firmware. Fortunately, I have not updated my firmware even once because I did not experience any problems since I bought my P990i 15 months ago. I don't know but I cannot question its speed at all because for me it is far faster than the P910i. Its 3g (second camera) is fantastic, reception is so clear, video is excellent. The QWERTY keyboard is far far better than the P910i (P910i is awful as it's located at the back of the flip). UI (user interface) of P990i is superb and even the entirety of the casing of P990i is solid and looks really expensive. As I have said, I will just keep my P990i if SE is not going to release a successor (I don't consider SE P1i as a successor though). If budget is not a problem, I would really recommend to replace your P910i with P990i and I can assure you, you won't regret it. By the way, P990i is supported up to 8gb memory stick duo. Good luck!

Dear Robert !!! You are 100% right that this superb phone is the best phone ever & is not for taking pictures. But today I mean in this competationary world, its every body's needs/wish to have complete phone, which will have every thing in one like best camra & other usefull features. As well as P910 is concerned, there is no debt that it has alot of usefull features & is very user friendly but its also true that we can't call it a complete phone due to its poor camra & lack of recording option durring a call. I am using my P910i from about 2 years now & I still love it & don't wanna lose it. but now its also my need to have a phone which will have call etc. features like P910i & camra atleast 2 mega pixel or higher. Therefore i searched alot to get the successer of P910i. But still i couldn't find it. As far P990 is concerned, so although its also not the successer of P-series due to its firmware's bugs, but we can't deny that after P910i, P990i is the best option especially for touch screen users. Thats why I am also planning to get P990, but still have little bit confusion about its problem i.e. its hanging firmware & slow Ram. Hello all, This is so great telephone that I have no words. It's true it has a very poor camera but, folks, it isn't phone for taking a pictures or video recording. OK, P990 solved that problem with 2mpx camera, and there is no doubt it's one of the best PDA/cell phone at the moment(might be it's the best one). I have P910i and if I decide soon to change it only choice will be SE P990i. That's only real solution for all P910i users. Off cours, it's just my opinion. Enjoy using your P910i. To all Lucky users of P910i I have used so many phones like K310, K510, K750, W800, W810i, Nokia 5300, N70. But very soon I bacame fadup of all these. Than I got My P910i (2nd hand), But this is the phone I was searching for. I love this phone due to its style, very cool features & accept all useful UIQ applications. Thats why I have decided that I will never change my p910, although it has some weak points as well like VGA camra, poor battery backup & unable to record a call coversation. But now I have a problem with its casing & battery. Thats why I have to change its casing & Battery. (Due to its poor battery I am using Nokia 2310 as a 2nd phone just for calls.) If anyone knows that from where can i get the casing & orignal battery of P910i, than plz contact me via my email & I will be very thankful to you for that. Anup, you remove the quick share panel in the centre and there are 2 screws under that, remove this and the keyboard will come off.

To Narasimha Rao You can move contacts between them: 1) Write them on sim card 2) Write them down and then back to the phone (long way if many contacts) 3) Connect the 6021 to computer and sync the address book to it. Then do the same with p910, sync it with the pc. You can modify contacts very easy in computer's address book.

you dont need the CD. Its just old version of PC suite and some shareware. Better download latest PC suite and other drivers from sony ericsson website

excellent phone i am using it since 2005 it works great i have not replaced the battery so far... but sometimes it hangs over and the 1GB memory card dosen't support sometimes but 512MB doing well. Please anybody post their suggestion for the best alternative phone instead of this p910i becoz it is getting old thanks.

I had drop it on the ground for hundred times, I can still do Movies,Music,Pictures,Documents,Games,E-mail,Int­ernet,as a modem with GPRS speed for my laptop, thinking of buy a GPS for it. I have been using that phone for 1 year now and I am completely DISSATISFIED. It was great at first to have a touch screen phone, after being a big fan of Nokia, with alphanumeric keypad only. After getting used to the SE P910i, u can notice the big disadvantages behind the touch screen advertising. - Camera quality is so low, that I don't even use it any more. Prefer not taking pictures than using this camera. - Speed when switching between apps is horrible. Switch between sms and phonebook for example, without any other apps running. - It takes the BT hell of time to detect other BT phone/PC. Experience with Nokia phone is heavenly faster. - Bug with BT. Phone hangs when pairing with PC on some occassions. It even hangs when pairing with the recent P990 phone. - Not shock resistant. My phone fell down after 10 months usage, for the first time. I then noticed that I lost recently added contacts. Office softwares that I uninstalled, appeared back. (Hun ??? Miracle). Conclusion: this model is out of the market anyway but if u get one to buy new or second hand, I advise you buy Nokia phone. Am shifting back to Nokia. Previously hand 3210, 2100, 3100, 6101, 6230, 8210, 7610 and some other models i forgot and my big mistake was to shift to SE P910i. N95!!! Please await me. Am coming!!!

To tvks Well dear SE site says it can support at max 1GB n i'm currently using it. ya can always give a try to 2GB or also 4GB but in either case the performance speed of you fone will decrease drastically so it wub be better to stick to 1GB otherwise if ya can bear da delays in execution of da programs then 'tis your choice dear. to Amir: try to change (update from site) it's software, you will lose all data from internal memory. to p1noye2: the same like Amir to Ayo: try www.ebay.com to jp: the same like Amir to Mariat: check the internal memory for space to pacy4: try Smartmovie, and for closing apps try "X". you'll need to use it more to learn how to deal with this phone to KM: the keypad isn't for sale, but you'll find the stereo for sure (it's 2.5mm, same used by some motorola or samsung) to razec: yes they are, even the themes, but be careful with them to jack: your phone's the problem. my phone has loud ring signal. and the handwriting recognition is perfect. i can even write with my thumb... to waren: i think you're dumb...you can get mem stick pro duo, not microsd. read before post that's all for now

Hi I've just bought the P910i. The ringer volume is too low and even after increasing it to the max, it does not match the volume which i used to get using a nokia 7610. I was worried whether this wa something wrong with only my phone or does every one have this problem. And even the handwriting recognition does not wrk accurately. Many words get interchanged. Any idea how to fix these problems??

I own P910i form two months. There are so many things to like about this phone and a few to dislike. I bought it second hand with visible traces of usage, but in good technical condition. Battery life seems fine to me- up to three days with intensive use in flip open mode, and one hour a day usage like mp3 player. The processor is powerful enough to handle (and loads quickly) all the applications, except the unability to render video files with decent quality. Symbian 7,0 and build in apps never crashed in my hands and never stuck, so there wasn’t any need to restart my phone. I like the huge easy to use touch-screen, which is bigger and better than most of 320x240 new phones, despite the 320x208 resolution. Great phone to browse the net- Opera browser is awesome. Build in e-mail client works fine and is very useful. It is very handy to work with texts. There are a lot of programs wrote for this phone, so you can fine almost everything. I use dictionary(eMO Dict Deluxe), ICQ client (Jimm), few extra games , book reader (ReadM), file manager and task manager (SMan), Opera browser. All of the apps I mention are freeware. It is strongly recommended to use SMan to control running processes and memory usage. In flip closed mode the screen is well protected and the phone is easy to use for calls and messages. The QWERTY keypad looks too small, but I used to it and now I’m typing faster than on the standard phone keypad. My phone render 4GB memory stick card which is great, but there are some limitations. I can’t see it trough pc suite. If I full the card more than 58% appears “corrupt files”. Anyway the card is usable, and allows me to use my phone like an mp3 player with decent quality. The sound of the included handsfree isn’t bed at all. The things I don’t like: Missing software updates form Sony-Ericsson for more than 1-2GB memory stick cards support. The 32-bit processor of P910i theoretically and practically can address to at most exactly 4GB. It is a pity not to write update to do that without any “corrupt files” problems. There isn’t an update for PC suite to recognize such cards either. The PC>phone file transfer is damn slow. You should use a card reader. I had such PC connectivity problems before. PC suite software is a disaster. Phone can’t play any good quality video no mater which program I use to convert it (“Super” is freeware). It seems the processor speed isn’t enough to play good videos. The phone build in camera, despite the bad resolution (VGA) is very low quality. For me it’s unusable nor to take pictures, nor a video. Missing WLAN(Wi-Hi). My conclusion- I love this phone, it gives me everything I need- book reader, 2-4GB mp3 player, dictionary, net browser, ICQ client, pope-mail, good for smatphone battery life.

I just purchased a Samsung P900 early on this year, it has 2 MP, wide screen and TV, but i just recieved my contract statement saying i am able to get a new phone without extra money. So i am thinking of either the P910 or the S700 (both had been my dream phone back in 04/05). Please help me to choose! I love the pda phone, i love its design, but i have no idea about the problems and its camera. It has a VGA but is the quality good enough for printing? and does it have the feature to extend to a 1MP resolution? Is the layout easy to use? and can u use a normal audio jack for earphones? I had ussed p900 for one year , after that i`ve got miself a p910. Is the best phone-pda ever. It looks great , it works great. The only thing it could do better is the camera. All the performance problems are now solved by the p990 but it locck hidous. So the best one remains p910. One more thing : the sony-ericsson phones are much better then nokia when it usses a large capacity memory card, which is great . And i use my p910 asa a walkman :D with alon mp3 player as the default player (the best sound quality ever , better even like a w800). best phone ever, and the battery even better.

well... i've been using this phone for almost a year... and never have "real" problems.. good looking Phone-PDA, nice sound quality, superb writing recognition (i almost never use the qwerty keyboard), and its a Symbian Phone! (thats mean a lots of app and games 4 this phone). yes.. its only have VGA camera, and the photo quality is average.. but overall, this is a very good phone-PDA ever made...

Hi all, Unfortunately I have experienced the P910i as sort of unproductive tool for its price. To slow, crashing (allready 3rd hardware x-changed on garanty), low performance on office tools, no real multitasking, difficult handling for business communication. Positive points are the glossy and professional marketing appearance, the briliant display, and the friendly people on the helpline. Sorry about, but this is my frank opinion. Andy .

To Audrey Thats a real problem to save its phonebook in Nokia thats very dificult and if u will send the contacts from any Nokia set that will b send 1 By 1 in my research thats not possible bcoz P910i saves its phonebook in (All.vcf) format and thats not supported in Nokia so i think so thats not possible if u got any solution plz inform me SHaKeeL

yes some time it freezez but this is not such a problem with the mobile phone or with software just to mention that thing in every people mind that the OS(operating System) is symbian after some time of use about a Hole day why don't u just turn off a mobile one time and all your problem will be gone in a less then a MIN. And one more thing for this mobile that is if u have the S-MAN that is the software .... u can close all the hidden tasks running behing ur phone as u can see on 6600 pressing menu button long but this phone never shows the list of program running so u must use the sman to close the tasks as if u open the camera and music player and any other thing just realaise how quicky your mobile bettery is running down. NAEEM FAROOQUI.

P910a does support 2gb duo pro(I am using it in my P910a right now). No change in speed. 4GB in not supported(I tested 4GB today). If you format it with Fat16, it will only use 2GB from 4GB. So don't try using 4GB in your P910a. BTW you can't partition 4GB card into two 2GB. So 2GB is the limit for P910a. Hope this will answer all the memory questions.

yes, i've never seen a girl using a P910, and it is an unusual choice for girls because most girls go for smaller, pretty (girly) looking phones (a la D500, Moto Razr and similar phones..)

-To Salman: Just connect the headset to the 2.5 connector above the JogDial. -To melard: I'm using XP Professional SP2, and the PC Suite cd always crashs while loading (right after the Sony Ericsson logo), giving me the usual XP blah blah error message. if that's your case, just browse the cd manually and install it and the drivers, that worked for me. if that doesn't work, you can download it off Sony Ericsson website.. and for Sman, it's free and you can find it at the link VaLy provided before: just copy abd paste it. -To andrew:

Finally got myself a P910, and.. WOW.. simply amazing as i expected. I was surprised to find that the often claimed battery life problem is pretty much bull****. the battery lasts for almost 2 days with heavy usage (these are my first days with it, so i do mean heavy) and it's even a one-year-old phone, i suppose it'd last for about 8 days in standby like VaLy stated before, i'm using Sman btw and it's really useful. about the cam, i'm quite happy with, it's one of the best vga ones, and it does what a 'PHONE camera' is supposed to, if you want a really high quality pics, go get a 7MP cam with optical zoom and stuff; a real digital camera. it's cheap to use a PHONE camera as your only camera and then say it's horrible. Aside from the great features, the phone has an impressive 'wow factor' to it, it will get the attention whenever you get it out of your pocket. when in public, i constantly find people around me looking at it, and it's really funny seeing the reaction of my friends and other 'Nokia people' when they use it a bit and find that their MUCH more expensive newer 'smartphones' look lame and amateurish compared to the relatively old phone. of course that must have been much better a year ago, people who are using p910 for a while must know what i'm saying, but it's still effective. try to catch these moments, they are priceless :D -And to Shereen John: you asked the same question i asked here a while ago, and the answer is a LOUD "YES". the speaker is truly LOUD and clear, to the point that you may have to deacrease the ringing volume of a loud mp3 tone.. and about locking the phone, if you mean the regular keylock then yes it's possible, and if you mean locking the phone by a code then yes also. btw, judging by your name i assume you're a girl. if i'm right, that would be an unusual phone for girls, i've never ever seen a girl with p910 (or p900, p800). but a terrific phone nonetheless.

you all know that many apps on p910 don't have a "close" or "exit" button. that's why you have no idea that the app is running on background and it drains your battery, slows the OS and so on... that's why for the last couple of days i am using X. it's a very useful app that closes your unclosed apps. i don't have to use Sman no more. i placed it as a shortcut instead of internet and it's like heaven :). if you need this program, just send me a mail or look after me on Y!mess. valy_cta

I just got this phone and it's great. I have removed the keypad and been using the touch screen only, with hand recognition feature. Am actually using 1 GB extra memory on it, which is well enough. MP3 sound is good and in stereo. Office documents opened reasonably quick (with QuickOffice 3.0). GPRS is very good (well this depends on your service provider and signal strength). As this phone is UIQ Symbian, you can add any UIQ software on it. To answer a previous post, note that MP3 sound improves if you use the virtual equalizer found in POWERMP3 software. The only hic would be the camera, which is only 640 x 480 VGA. The 1 Mega Pix in my old Nokia 7610 takes better shot and video. Well, we can't get everything in a phone :D Now, am waiting for the P990 to be widely available to shift over. Oh, by the way, note that the P910i is out of the market in Dubai, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, Philipines. Maybe some shops may still have an old stock but the major shops are no more selling it.

I have this phone :-) If fact I have many phones; as I get them for free but this phone tops them all. Whilst everyone is obsessed with the "Blackberry" and "Motorola V3i RAZR" I mean what is so great about the Razr anyway? Maybe it's just because people think it's a good-looking phone. Most people who have them just fancy them though. Because they don't have any social life to share themselves with, so they get that phone. P910i is awesome! - Excellent for business and WiFi Connectivity and it can also do e-mail professionally, internet works really quickly - if you are on contract on either O2 or Vodafone (maybe T-Mobile too...) anyway... Awesome Phone! In fact I bought two of this headset I gave one away to my best friend of whom he thinks is awesome too. just bought this phone, second hand 1 year plus used. gota say im lovin it. even tho its used, previous owner perhaps got a little care and only minor scratches. i never used a symbian before so i guess its like palm and it is. well, hopefully wont catch no viruses cuz i heard windows mobile, as long its microsoft, somebody will be coding some virus for it. lol... but so far, phone is great, mp3 n video quality ok, except the speaker is only loud but no bass, my e398 was better. keyboard has yet to function cuz i found the virtual keyboard better, and as for me, i just got this phone to edit excel files... lol! I've been using P910i for 1 year & 3 months and still working like brand-new. All bottons are working properly, the touchscreen, everything. Until now I have not encountered a single problem with this awesome unit from SE. The only problem is we cannot upgrade the camera VGA even up to 2.0MP only.

I have had the P910 for 1 year now.It has been a great phone but too heavy. Of course now a little dated with a poor camera resoluton also problems starting to show such as touch screen becoming quite scratched after much use and some number keys when pushed appearing as other numbers on screen. The new P990 is even heavier but with impressive features. Because of the weight i dont think i will buy.

I am so impressed with Sony Ericsson models since the past couple of years. My nature of work requires myself to have a smart phone, which could assist me in daily jobs. My first Sony Ericsson model was P800. I had been using the model for two years before replaced it with a new model P900. I bought a Sony Ericsson P900 in mid Oct. 2004. At that moment, Sony Ericsson was about to launch its new model P910. The brochures/ads were everywhere. Basically, the specifications are merely the same except P910 offers a mini keypad attached on it. What would be the best option between P900 & P910? For me, P900 gives the best option for advanced users. Frankly, the P910 keypad is too small (that's why they call it mini keypad). It is not convenient for typing words while holding 155 g phone. Aren't you? I don't know. I am still carrying P900 wherever I go as a primary phone besides an O2 XDA IIs.

ATTN ALL P910 USERS: You have to download Sman app to ur phone to save battery life. Sman is free in some websites. Find it get it. Sman closes applications that consumes battery. AFter download you have to "snapshot" only Sman and make it automatic when flip is closed

It is perfect - except for its keypad. After 1 year, there are significant problems with using the buttons. Especially the keys which are most heavily used. I hit a number but comes another one on the screen. I can use it only by its pen and screen. It seems that I will loose the entire keypad shortly.

The following I find poor after 1 year usage 1) battery life 2) Cannot copy paste one entry to another space 3) We cannot set up the "ask for a receipt" on for sms, one needs to set this up every time as it is off by default 4) Hardware is of low quality. After a year with office use and no drops, numbers have faded out, buttons are difficult to press/respond, backlight comes on and off with no reason and logos are off it looks like a 4 year nokia already 5) Menu is sometimes funny as it has happened to save a number under a different name but when you call it appears again - something amazing that I didn't know how it is done. Actually one of the persons I was calling by mistake has threatened me at one stage ....

ive got the p900 model for 5 months. i buy it just for his screen and for the touchscreen...oh..and for design (i think its realy nice!) batery life its not so long. i like it because its have a complicated menu. and it have a lot of optons in the menu. also you can watch video on full screen. mp3 sounds its not sou good. (my opinion. the sound its to higher.) its not like my old 6230. now i want to sale my p900 and buy a p910i because it have a better screen but not only. also i think the p990 its not so nice like the p900 and the p910i models. if you want a PHONE then you should buy a n1100. p900 is more then each other mobile phone. from alba iulia,,, romania. a realy user of p900.

I own a P910 and i have to mention some: 1)it's speaker is louder than other mobilephones, louder than any nokia or else 2)the os is fast for a 32RAM pda, i use Sman to close all apps, if you don't use a taskmanager p910 won't respond well, and it will drain the battery very fast 3)it's true about the contact management, what plaguemaister said is true, and another thing that's annoying is that you can't copy all the phone contacts at the same time on the SIM, you have to copy one contact at a time, that's very annoying 4)if you write an sms and smbd call's you, it is possible to lose the text... 5)i find the keyboard very useful, not as he mentioned, i have very large hands and thumbs and i can handle it very well 6)the battery life i have to say that it's very good, in less usage conditions it lasted for 9 (nine) days :). But if you use it often it lasts for 4-5 day. That's my case (my p910 is only 2 months old). The next time you complain about the life battery just be sure you used Sman and closed all apps after you finished with. The unclosed apps will drain your battery. My screen brightness is set to 20%. 7)i never faced the signal problem because i don't often use the elevator :) 8)i never faced the calendar sync problem because i don't sync it to my pc 9)the most annoying thing that i hate at p910 is the fact that the apps are not closing themselves. For example the camcorder hasn't got a "exit" button, when you press jog-dial down the camcorder runs in background but you can't see that and it slows down the OS. That's why many of you complain about the "slower OS"...So for all apps that haven't got a "exit" button you have to use Sman, Taskman. You must enter it every time you have "closed" an app and close it for real in Sman. That's a very very bad thing. p800 faces the same problem, as well as p900...Hope that p990 will be more organised. 10)there are a lot of apps for it and that's nice i am satisfied with my p910 even it has some +es and -es. no mobile phone is perfect, that's for sure, many s-e face a lot of problems but we can't say that nokia doesn't. if i would have to choose again a mobile phone with that cost, i'd go for p910, i like the touchscreen and jog-dial very much. it's a robot, it's not perfect.........

This is the worst phone I've ever bought. Biggest problem is that you can't hear someone on it if you are in a place with even moderate background noise. The microphone input chops up the speaker and you cannot hear what the person on the other line is saying. It's the worst phone I've ever owned. Avoid it like the plague.

Texts received during a call disable call hang up: If you are on a call and you receive a text message, the phone goes straight into text message mode. Pressing the "hang up" button opens the text message. Once in the text message menu, you have to navigate several levels out before you have the option to end your call again. This has happened to me several times while leaving a voice mail message and I thought I hung up, but really didn't. This is a wonderful way for phone companies to get extra minutes off of you. 6. Keyboard too small: The keyboard provided is worthless. I've tried to use it a couple of times, but it's so tiny that it's practically worthless. I've used it only a couple times and that was all I could stand. 7. Battery Life Horrible: The screen drains the battery faster than a alcoholic drains a wine bottle. You cannot see what's on the screen if it's in energy save mode. 8. Poor reception: I cannot use this phone in my elevator. I've lived in my apartment for 3 years and have used 3 different mobile phones while living there (from the same carrier as this phone). This phone will not receive calls from my elevator. It's the first one I've ever owned that won't work. 9. Long latency for reception recovery: Once I get out of a poor reception area (elevator), it takes about 35 seconds before the phone will register that the reception is better. Even if it is in an area with good reception, it will not allow you to make a call unless it has refreshed it's reception rating. 10. Web Surfing doesn't work: I was able to surf the web maybe 10 times before I started getting errors from the operating system. I called support and they encouraged me to install the older OS version. This worked for a while, then the errors started again. Go ahead and google this error. You'll see tons of them and no support from the vendor on how to correct it: "Program Closed: Program Main Reason Code KERN-EXEC Reason number 3". When you press continue, you get the Oh-so-informative "Information: Unknown Error" message. 11. Texts lost mid-stream: If you are typing a text and you open the flap to use the keyboard or other text entry mode, you are kicked out of the text mode. Conversely, if you are entering text for an SMS with the flap open and you close it for key pad entry, you are kicked out of SMS mode. The message is saved in the Draft folder automatically, but you can only access this folder with the flap open. 12. Texts lost if call received: If someone rings you while you are typing a text, you are kicked out of text mode. If you pick up the call, your message is saved in the draft folder. The only way to reach the draft folder is to open the flap. 13. Cannot end a call when engaged with other application: if the flap is open and you are typing a text... or playing a game or whatever, you cannot hang up the phone. You have to close the flap to do this, in which case, anything you were doing can be lost, especially when SMSing. Again, you have to open and access draft mode which is only accessible with the flap open. 14. Calendar faulty when synching: I have attempted to synch my calendar in Outlook with my phone. For some reason, there is a 2-6 hour gap between the times in my calendar on my PC and the dates in my phone. I've called support and looked online to try and resolve this, but again, no solution is provided. Having worked for support centers in IT before, I know how to change all the settings suggested. None work. Re-synching results in multiple entries in both PC and phone. Because of the time difference, this is exacerbated when re-synching. If you have a recurring meeting, you have to manually erase every single meeting from your phone or it will wake you up at 3am with a loud alarm telling you about that marketing campaign meeting to happen in 7 hours. 15. MMS doesn't work: I took a photo one time and tried to send it to a friend and got another application error the vendor could not explain away.

i'd go for p910 if i were you. i-mate is using windows mobile and has less apps than symbian. 3250 it's new on the market and it's apps are not compatible with the older S60 series. p910 has a lot of apps on the net. p910 was launched in 2004 4quarter or the beginning of 2005.

its a good phone.been using it for quite sumtime now and it basicaly does everything that i need.alot of u have bin complaining about the battery but heres the thing.just set the screen to atomatic saver and also the brightnes to just 20 percent and there you go battery last for almost 3 days.and just remember guys its a phone and not a digicam.if u want higher resolution for ur pictures go get a sony digicam.but non the less the phone is really a jewel specialy for college guys like me who needs to organize eachday same as with my part time work.so its handy to have everything in one device.keep it up sony!

Not only have i installed software to run Lemmings, monkey island and Doom... but i have just bought a GPSlim236 Bluetooth GPS reciever and now i can use my phone as a GPS navigation tool. In my oppinion having worked in the mobile phone industry... you can't get a better phone/pda device. Go you good thing!

i am usin p910 for about 2 years now mostly professional and i am very satisfied with its operation . i took off the keyboard , so i use only the touchscreen , and i installed an 512 mb mc . thouhg its filled almost up (about 95 % for mc , and 40 % for phone memory) i have no problems with bluetooth or infrared connections ,sending and receiving all kinds of data (video's , mp3 , amr, 3gp...) . my occupation is that kind (technician) that i loaded the mc with pdfs around my job over 420 mb and i have no problem even with pictures and drawings in the pdfs

the best choice is to use Sman. My battery life is about 5 days (i have set brightness to 20% and closed apps with Sman every time) many claimed that the battery life it's too short (1-2 days) which i do not agree. i think it's a good handset, better than 7710

i'm using this device for 3 weeks and i think it's worth it. i had a problem with it once: i used Taskman(big mistake) and closed "Phone" application; my mobile closed instantly and when i tried to open it, it became unusable, did not start and only showed the sony-err logo. i had to resoft it at a service and cost me money. Hayleen. sorry i cant help you on that. i paid for mine and its worth it. Cynosure. i have problems connecting with other devices using bluetooth. here's some info on what ive tried. for pc usb or built in bluetooth.use either use toshiba bluetooth stack/microsoft bluetooth stack or windcom stack. for other phones besides SE. try pairing them up first and see if you still have some memory left on both devices. if you still having problems sending or receiveng thru bluetooh. try backing up your device. and try reseting SE p910. btw theres a firmware ive heard about re: SE p900 it can convert the firmware p900 too p910 firmware, theres one problem in that you cannot use your bluetooth option anymore. Chris i use smartmovie for encoding avi's. isa the chic i totally agree with you its much faster that way. but you can buy a usb 2.0 MS reader for $12 that is without the MS adapter so you need to shell out another $7 for it. you can buy them @ outpost.com

for trasferring files, videos, pictures, music, games, etc from the pc to p910 and vice versa, the best medium is a CARD READER. i have encountered no problems with a card reader and u can easily detect if there are any viruses in a certain file. a card reader costs only around 35 dollars. the price is very worth it. i don't use my usb cradle anymore.

once you sync the p910 with SE sync software. click on the p910 icon on your desktop and it will show you these folders you must have se p910 sync files(sonyericsson.com) PHONE MEMORY AND MEMORY STICK in each folder has audio, document,image,other and video. re: IR sync i use com 5. try that that might help. you ,ust have the proper IR drivers. for Videos i use smartmovie with this settings landscape/xvid encoder/112 bitrates /frequency 2400hz 8kbps bitrate i just use the lame codec. the movies are just fine but dont expect good quality. be sure to check the preference "targer device type and screen" is on UIQ 208X320. hope this helps

2 phones broke down in a row. 2nd one won't met me synchronise data. BE VERY CAREFUL. Screen and stylus too small but plenty of functionality if you can get one that works and doesn't risk all your data.

I have had this phone for a year now, and I am on the 4th replacement phone from Orange. The phone is attractive and has a lot of functionality. But it is too large and heavy to go in you pocket and I have had a number of problems with it, mostly related to software or features (such as blue tooth or infra-red) just not working. PC synchronisation has also been problematic. If you want a PDA and phone, then it is a reasonable choice, but be prepared for it to go wrong.

i've been using p910i for months now and it never restarts on me. this is the best phone i've got so far. i had the razr v3 but i liked this better because razr has only a limited memory while this one's expandable and i can easily install games, softwares, themes, etc. in my p910i. i love this phone and probably i won't be changing it for other ones for the next months to come. yes the camera kinda sucks but if you want good pictures then buy a real camera. i have no regrets in owning this one. :)

to kevin: 1)go to a service center and ask if they have spare parts for your mobile 2) go to sony-ericsson's headquarters and ask for the keyboard 3)or you can order yourself a qwerty keyboard on ebay. it's your choice. to : p910 has better screen, bigger ram and internal memory, qwerty keyboard and it can handle a 1 gb mem card. p900 has only 65k screen and can work with a max of 128mb mem card

p910 and w950 differ a lot, you can't compare them. first of all they both use symbian interface which is good, but w950 uses uiq3.0 which is a new OS with few app's FOR NOW. w950 is in the WALKMAN category, that's why it has 4gb memory. i think the major drawback is the lack of camera. p910 has a camera, although it's vga, you can still take a picture with it whenever you want. w950 is lighter, smaller, and has radio, better and i think a smaller screen. overall it's a new product. i have to mention that p910 has a qwerty keyboard which is removable. i think w950 it's better than p910 if you are patient (app's) and you don't need a cameraphone. we can chat on e-mail or y!mess if you want. have a nice day!

Hi VaLy could we compare P910i and W950i? they both use stylus, but in terms of the PDA functionality I am not sure. The thing is I want to upgrade my handset which is P910i but I don�t know which phone to get. Any suggestion perhaps...I don't like the P990i I think it does not look too good & got the same (more or less) specs as with P910i. I also hate the fact that they have reduced the screen area size and the keys you also can�t get rid of. Look at P910i without the flip is looks like something out of this world!! any comments?

i think you are right zero2hero, if you can't handle it...don't buy it. i barely wait for my p910 to come. i have red a lot of review's before i decided on this phone. i wanted a smartphone, touchscreen, and finally something which look's like a phone. although it's big it has a lot of functions, i think p910 has no rival. 7710 which has better camera and bigger display loses by it's operating system with few app's and size. hope i'll get the phone soon because i hardly wait to play games on it:) especially v-rally. best regards

i have been usng dis marvellous piece of invention for d past 5 months. its a really wonderful phone. its packed with a lot of functions AND its tremendously user friendly. though it tends to be slow occasionally, its not much of a problm One suggestion to the makers is that it would have done better with a Megapixel cam. at the outset i would give it a 9/10.

zero2hero Sman is on www.p800stuff.com . you can use p900remote for sending sms or mail, your phone must be connected by cable at pc with this app you can do everything on the pc as you browse the phone menu(send sms, read sms, and many things) just read the READ ME file. the site is not working now but try again in a few days. i saw many of you who claim that the phone's battery must be charged every day and that it is slowly. you don't know how to use the phone. after you exit an app it doesn't close itself, it must be closed manually. that's why i recommend you Sman. try to read more and learn how to use the phone before you post here

Hi all Been using my p910i now for more than a year 7 it�s still going. No problems really the only thing I have realised is that it does not handle Bluetooth very well. I use razor v3 to browse the web with no problems but when I use p910i it shuts the phone down every time I disconnect from internet, so what I do to remedy the problem is I turn off my Bluetooth on the phone and the PC disconnect automatically. I don�t know what causes it though, so I�ve got 2 phones razor v3 and p910i, for browsing the web I use razor v3 and the other phone for every use. to increase your battery life you should use Sman (Smanager). Sman 'kills' any unclosed app. if you'll start 3 app's and don't close them the mobile will respond slower and the consumption of the battery will be much higher. that's why many of you claim that battery life is less than a day. try Sman and post your result here. i hope it will work. has anyone tried photoacute with p910?

Dear P910 fellow users After one year my P910 stopped functionning. I sent it to the repair center in Belgium where I am living. There was still one year warranty left. They sent it back unrepaired because of "oxydation". This "oxydation" theme seems a new device found by the mobile phones manufacturers to enable them not to honour the warranty . The only thing they suggested is to throw my un-smart phone in spite of it's high price. Perhaps mobile users, especially the sony ericsson ones should join in order to react against this manufacturers privilege. Anyone,any time even a normal user like me can have his warranty invalidated under this oxydation excuse. What do you think of that? Regards leo

Hey guys! I've been using this phone for about 3 month,and I wanna say that this phone is one of the best. Never had problems with it. But unfortunately on the market apeared Symbian 9,so I wanna ask you is it possible to have an upgrade from Symbian 7 to Symbian 9 and How to do this?

to: Abhinav hmm..i got my p910i 2 months ago. so the battery is fairly new and last a bit longer. try this try turning off the screensaver that might help. im planning on getting a 2nd battery one of these days. about screen protector i just brought a regular one "fellowes screen protector" from ebay $7 shipped. i want to try those removeable screen protectors you mentioned they look promising. to PFMY i had the same problem with sending files over " bluetooth" it will just say some error, cant send or something like that? here's what i did, check the other phone if it has some more space left. i tried sendong some mp3 files to a motorola my p910 prompt an error cant send, coz the motorola has no more memory left. so try that it might help.

Hi, I bought a P910i few days ago. I like this phone because it has keypad and so much easier than any other PDA phone if you are driving. But the sad thing is the incoming call ring that it ring less than 10 seconds. I am quite disappointed. And also things like sound which other mobile phone can make use of blue tooth to send to each other, but this P910i can't.

to: Abhinav have you tried lowering the brightness on your p910? that works for me. i get 4 days of battery life from my p910 when it runs on 40% brigthness. ive tried 100% i get 2 days or less. to: kunal it really depends on the movie your watching. i watch divx movies on se p910i. the screen is good. voice is good..but sometimes a bit choppy. ive also tried smart movie on other nokias as well. in my experience they all went well. but i havent tried nokia 7710 so i cant help you on that department. hope this helps. if you need the setting for se p910 using smartmovie just ask okey?

to protect the screen you can use a screen protector www.clarivue.com and you can improve the battery life by reducing the screen brightness to 45% (i saw that on other user posts)

Its a great phone, but when it breaks and u send it to sony ericsson repair center, they will break your phone even more and they will tell you that the damage is out of warranty and they will require u to pay $200 to get the phone repair. I sent in my phone for repair and they sent it back to me with a missing part inside the phone. I knew what i broke and needs to be fixed.Thats how i know the part that needs to be attached back on the phone is missing. My mom got frustrated with this matter and thinking of sueing sony ericsson. but above all this, I LOVE this phone and spent so much money for this phone. Im thinking of getting the p990, but thinking if its worth it to get it.

i have been using p910 for slightly half a year.the life span of the battery totally kills me.it only last like for a few hours and talk time maybe abt max 3 n half hours.the touch screen no longer as sensitive as before.also the camera is not sharp and the lighting to the camera is not as good as well.but the overall performance is not that bad in the sense that it is not laggy and i dropped it several times but it is still working(durable).

i ve had this phone 3months now ...and i m disappointed in the battery life, the screen scratches easily,the vga camera is not as shape as i thought it would be as well as the video it is edgy with the images and there re not enough application to convert some of the files .however it s a useful phone being that it s a "smartphone" i has the potential to improve its capabilities

I love this phone. But SE should have upgraded this phone with a better camera and Class 10 EDGE and GPRS support rather than going for P990. This is the best combo of PDA and phone I have seen. It only lacks a good camera and high speed data support. The P990 is not as smart as this phone.

i have had the p910 over a year love .wanna move up to the p990 though only for wifi and edge which is super fast.already tested edge on i mate jasar.and the edge is fast in nyc. now back to the p910 can use a 2 gig duo pro stick.i put the sony 2 gig high speed in it.and the p910 ready the stick and showed the free memory of 2gig and it worked fine.

P910i is being replaced by P990i. There are still many in the market. Its still a good buy for those with a tight budget like me as the new model will be priced much higher since it has more features. Ultimately, for those who dont need the new features, its still worth buying this phone.

I bought the 910i for over 2 weeks, am happy with the phone but have problems with the backup. I used the 2 CDs and the cradle provided. Managed to get the backup working in my office laptop but not for those in my home. Any suggestion to help woould be much appreciated. It kept tellin me to get my phone defined.

P910i? been using for almost a year now. so far i have not encountered any problem yet.. well probably no extra features, it is actualy exactly d same with p900 but dude the casing is better thou.. i like the flip keyboard evn if its not so useful because the one with p900 or is shud say with lower models, it looks frail and easy to break. to everyone-----this fone is a must have one!! not because i have one, it simply because the overall functions of the fone is great. yup a gud choice for me i must say. ciao.

well, it depends on what you expect and need from a mobile phone. this one , has a touch screen ,and a very large one :) , so it's easy to move around the menus and to read text,word,excel, web sites and so on. it has a large internal and upgrade-able external memory card so you can use it not only for mail and documents but also for storing mp3/mp4/mid/wav/jpg and so on files cause he can read them all.In the box you'll get a docking station [usb], charger, carying case,neck tie , hansfree headspeakers kit, 2 extra screws, one extra pen, a cloth to wipe the display clean, 2 cds and so on, and you can buy some extra display films that keep it safe from scratching [nusafe, 3pcs ~ 15$] ... enough to buy it?

Hello wonderful owners of this named brand phones, i got it 4 months ago and caregorised it as a nice to own piece of communication equipment but there are sure to be flaws and i think no single piece of electronic equipment can accomodate the needs of millions of users. For me as a limited PDA , it worked as advertised and as a phone it is better than what i expect. I own many brands of phones from the brick type to the wafer type and from the days of phone working on 450 MHz to the present phone working on 1900MHz and from analog phone to the present 3G phone. This phone worked wonderfully so far in four months of used (and abuse). It stands to my harsh treatments. and as a limited PDA it function well but remember to treat it as a micro computer and any function requested it need to load the programm before presented to user (it needs some time to do that but depends on how big the programme is and how complicated it was created) So there is lag and not as annoying as some users has experienced. but if i jumped the gun the phone continue working without hesitation until my request is met. No hang up so far and it has been patience on me. Of course i didnt chucked this equipment around. the only complaint is the battery life. Of course i need a phone with a month of standby time but be reasonable. how much juice can you cramped into small space, for me with heavy usage of almost 90 minutes of average usage daily and a little music and PDA functionality i charge the battery every other days or every 3 days because i fully charged the battery and take care of it really well, if other user used their phone which lasted for only half a day i recommended get a new original battery as there are so many so called original battery these days. Remember a merc does not sips fuel it gulp. And if not satisfied with battery life buy another only phone and a separate PDA and compare how many time you got to charge both of them cmpared to your present P910i. Dont compare what is the advertised battery life here. they dont actually use it to the fullest( i think). They just calculated it on paper at the most optimum setting and divided by the battery capacity to get the figures. I remember on one ocassion, i was very upset with my phone battery (not the present P910i) it lasted only half a day or sometime my luck was so good it lasted for 15 hours. when it was advertised to last for 72 hours. but later if found out the advertised duration was correct and i am wrong and later i managed to better the figure to more than 72 hours. Actually the phone keep on switching itself off and needs to be manually switch on. So for this SE battery life it is debatable. During those fine times i got almost 5 days before recharging cos i am using phone only mode and keep other function to minimum. Other features i found no faults (as i planted in my mind)that i am buying a toyota not a mercs. Of course there are few areas to be looked at by the maker of this phone to improve future product and few of them are found on SE P990. which i had not yet seen or look at. So i dont want to make speculation. Thanks for reading this and bye. I will write again when i had the phone for six months.

Hi... i just buy a new P 910i about 2 weeks ago... and i'm encountering problems here, well my fone often to lose the handwriting recognition tools and the virtual keyboard... if this problem occur then i vave to restart the device,,, coz it's the only way to solve it.. i try to setup the problems in control panel > writing tools, but still the problem remains, the device reject the setup with "not enough memory" notifications.. any advice or suggestion?

The P910i has extra added features and 64mb of memory stick duo in the box overall its a fab phone .. networks may vary on the gprs applications on pay and go as i found out to save heavy traffic hampering there servers... It maybe worth looking at the p990 if you like the phones format

I got this phone on upgrade, and was so dissapointed by it, the camera is very poor, and its a pain in the ass to use. For example if i am writing a message with the key pad down, and i want to got to T9 by shutting the key pad it closes every thing. also the qwerty key board does not light up making it very hard to use in the dark. The PC softwear is very limited. I took the phone back and got and N70, much better.

The buttons in off-position is not off... For in-comming call you nearly have to look at the phone and someone is speaking to you. That's crazy. Same problem with the alarm. When I look at the screen after the alarm, the massage on the screen are gone... And you have to rush trough a lot of menues to search for the reason for the alarm... That's cracy. The price is to high for a phone with a lot of other bad programming-choises!

In the beginning i loved nokia all the phones i bought wer nokia and then after a while i upgraded to a t616 and was impressed with the features and then i went and got a s710 and i was impressed again and now i just bought the P910 3month ago and i was really pleased with it i knew it had a vga camera and it had no edge and no radio but it's alrite coz i dont really think that a camera from a cell phone cant be compared to a real digital camera and also i own an mp3 player that has alot of memory so i mostly use my p910 for business and casualties i only use it for calling getting agendas done,listing to mp3 chatting on aim or yahoo messenger. For me im very satisfied with sony ericsson and i dont like nokia anymore except for there sophisticated design on phones but nokia phone features are just average and cant be compared to sony ericsson features and battery life sony ericsson phones have the longest battery life and most advance features than any other mobile brand.the sony ericsson p910a has a good battery life even though it has a mini processor inside,and it also has a good signal and it never drops a call on me,and it also response good and it hangs iike 2 times on my and thats it and also it has excellent sound quality especially with headphones on its sounds clear and the screen is so bright and clear 256K, i wanna get the SE-P990 i know it's gona cost alot i will have to wait for its price to go down,but for now i dont think im gona sell my P910 for this phone is superb and is worth keeping thank u very much for listening to my review of the Sony Ericsson P910

hi there i used motorola E680i ,nokia6600,nokia 3230 and now using s/e p910i 1st of all p910i compare with all the above mention set has a more stable operating system with lot of free softwares avail able,and looks very treandy and impresive. 1:the only drawback in this set is lack of FM radio(which can be compensated by using fm radio head set) 2: lack of mega pixil camera if these two things doesn't bother u then its the great set 4 u

I used to own P910 once and still own p800, tell you the truth, the P800 softwrae works far better than the P910. It jams up sometime but apart from that the device is great. The video resolution is far better than Nokia 9500, but the software is up to no-good. Sony-Erricson do something...Hope the new P990 is the one...

Earlier I was using Razor V3. Then bought 910I. Superb performance. HAd to read the user manual a bit carefully, but seems it is highly user friendly. Sony should have provided higher capacity memory stick alongwith the unit. The only problem is that after synchronising with your PC or Laptop, you cannot send messages. (I do not know if there is any software that is available similar to what I got for Razor). Secondly, the pricture quality specially in the night mode is not impressive. Further improvement looks necessary. On the whole, I am very happy with Sony 910i.

Let me give answers to some of ur questions> 910 price is 27000 PKr so $450...its expensive. it dont have FM radio..Shit.. looks there is some enough problem with battery life...Hun.. even at 27000 it dont have EDGE..Suck.. i dont think that a phone at this price is not having EDGe and FM and then simple camera just VGA...no..wt you think about Motorola E680i...price is just $334...with stereo 3D speaker ..with same camera..and with almost same thing..except HTML browser and office application....which i think most of us are not business person we aall are just buying it for fun...so we dont need that excel,word and PPt......but we need Fm?? about querry of model with i and c....just go to sonyericsson.com there you will find the different model model availabe in different region with just little changes. Yeah, you need to ensure you have the instalation software set up on your lap top first of all, the handset in its cradel, now you lap top should have a plug in a play device where it automatically detects a new device, if not, that what you need. its also possible that you may have a faulty cradle!"!!

The p910i is just pure class, I cannot believe the functions and uses it has. I read a lot of reviews about poor battery life and unhappy owners and was in two minds as to wether or not to buy one, Eventually I did. My battery lasts about 4-5 days with normal use and quite heavy PDA use. I am so glad I purchased one, I love this phone.

It is the ultimate when it comes to talk time. Havent found anything even close to its performance. The PDA functions are sufficient for a busy person to handle most of his tasks. The camera is also excellent in clarity and can be easily transferred to my laptop through InfraRed when I want to share the photographs. In all excellent phone, PDA, Camera...guys go for it!!!!

If you like PPC you can chose O2 Mini But when you want to send SMS you have touch screen. O2's network don't work well like P910i. If you want a Phone can choose P910i, Battery life's very good. I have used a number of sony ericson phones(t100, t230, t610, k700I) but this is the best phone i have used. The only drawback it is that it is a little big for a cell phone. but then again it is almost a pc phone. I would recommend to all those who require a good quality phone, yet not that affordable.

Hey there guys, I have been using this phone for about a month now. Me and my dad bought phones simultaneously (He bought an o2 Mini). Now, let me give you my opinion on both the phones. First of all, the camera quality on the mini was "bad", considering the fact that it is supposed to be a 1.3 megapixel camera. Frankly, I'd expect such a camera to do very well, but it didn't. But, my P910i has only a VGA camera. And, the "quality" of the image that it clicked was far superior to the O2 although the resolution was admittedly only 640 x 480. Secondly, the sound. The sound on the Mini is absolutely AWESOME. This is one area where the Mini beat the P910i hands down. No doubt in my mind that the speaker of the mini is better than the SE both in terms of quality and volume. Thirdly, the software. I must mention here that I did have a bit of a problem getting good software for a UIQ phone since SE P910i is a UIQ based phone. There's a lot of good software out there for normal Symbian phones, but not for Symbian UIQ phones. Here also, the P910i unfortunately loses, but not by much because there is some amount of good software available. All in all, I would say that the P910i is a good phone and so is the O2 Mini. But, considering the fact that both my father and I paid the same amount for both the phones (the costs differed only in terms of a few hundred rupees), the P910i loses in the "value for money" section. But, let it not deter you if you're gonna buy a P910i. All said and done, it is a very good phone and I would reccomend that you buy it if you actually like it.

Softwares such as MSN messenger, Opera Web Browser, RealOne Player, Winamps.... can be installed. However, I reckon you mentioned about installing the whole windows OS, which is NOT possible to change.

u cannot use windows mobile fone software for this fone of course. u must use the one which is compatible which is UIQ base. This fone camera cannot zoom it or zoom out. for taking foto(with good light condition) it is good. but for video it is so bad i can said. this fone has no wifi. Muhammed... I would go with the P910 simply because there's way more softwares for it. plus it's so much more stylish. With the p910, you can play DOOM with very nice graphics.

You need to initial charge the phone for 12 hours (the battery is BST15 lion 1260), so it gonna last for very long time (except you use it to play movie). If you have problem, properly get a new battery and initial charge for 12 hours, and remember only charge again when it is auto turning off. Anyway, the phone is excellent.

From P800 to P900 and now I'm on P910. Cosmetically, i think its beautiful. EVerything is well. Have never had any crashes, reset, freeze, etc. Its stable and rock solid. It does exactly what you want it to. I slapped in a 256mb MS and to date, have not used up the internal memory. Holding it in my palm gives me that great feeling. A few negative points like lousy camera and capture. Speed wise, my P900 is much faster to react to SMSes, camera, etc. P910 seemed to be slower by half of the time taken by P900, I still wonder why. I thought it could be the 262k color screen, I dunno. The keyboard on the over flip keypad is a redundant and the P910 could go without it. Other than that its just a small refinement (mostly cosmetic) in phoen features as compared to P900. If I were to look at the phone response speed in executing certain functions, I don't mind downgrading back to P900. In all, P910 is still a great phone to own and use. Most importantly it does exactly what you want it to do and it's rock stable and solid. My advice for those who are getting the P910; save your money and go for P900. Difference between P900 and P910 is minimal. For those who have already owned a P910; you've got a great phone! Enjoy it!

I'm planning to get one after a very disatisfaction from nokia 7710, I can tolerate its bulkiness but the slow processing time for contacts, sms replies is pathetic. For comparison purposes in my opinion the only edge that nokia has is the fm radio but still the draw back is it doesn't continue to play after a call. Honestly, the p800 still works better than n7710

i have had mine 6 months and the flimsy plastic construction has come to fruition as the screen has broke for no reason and they have deemed it out of warranty and slapped me with a �110 bill for the pleasure. great customer service sony.

Just 2 days back bought the P910i in Mumbai (India). Amazing phone. Slept at 2 in the night as was exploring the phone. Amazing features and looks. Was considering the Nokia 7710 as it had FM also and was also cheaper (Rs 20500/-) as against Rs 25500/- for P910i. But i think it is worth it. Had primarily taken it for the PIM functions and they havent disappointed me. Only concern is that the Expense function does not have Rupee currency. Anyone aware how i can load rupee as a currency.That was available on my Visor (Handspring)? Btw had to load the software from the application CD which came alongwith the phone. Most of the other applications/ programs were just links to the sony ericsson website, and so a let down as it was not a free download.

I bought this phone few days back.The phone is awsome.The internet speed is a bit small.The downloded games, V RALLY, SKY FORCE are a joy to play.The fullscreen view is a godsend.The BLUETOOTH Headset is also awsome.but alas only if they had included a Radio/FM player also, But the INTERNAL MEMORY + EXTERNAL MEMORY is enoughf to have atleast 10-15 songs.

the camera kind of sucks...you can record movies more than 10mins, if you have enough free memory, the quality of the speakers is awesome (beter than some laptops' and PDAs' speakers), the speakers are also loud...you can create,edit word&excel/...i have it for 2months..i'm very pleased with, very reliable..qtion!!:: anybody knows a software that can make mpeg4 from any video(also edit resolutions)??? thx

I usually forget my to do list, and my P910 helps me remember by playing a lovely song that i choose to play. The P910i is a good phone but the battery sucks! imagine a chargin time of 4 hrs and a backup of only a few hrs if you happen to use all the features in it.

Face the truth, most Nokia phones are worth no more than a piece of sh1t. There are a few (and I mean literally) Nokia mobiles which are quite good, but they cost twice the money than similar handsets' price. Nokia phones are freaking "fashion mobiles" for a shameful price and equipped with mostly useless extra functions (did you ever use the stopwatch and other things inside ?). Sorry Nokia lovers, but I had to say that and I bet that there are LOTS of ppl out there, who think the same about these phones. Go SE.

I dont know whether to get a SEp910 or an Imate Jam. Which is the best smart phone? I have a p900. Its great but does not 100% sync with Outlook. Is the IJ better for this? Is not have a key pad OK? Also does the IJ have T9 text prediction?

Nokia are pants... If you are going to slate the P910 at least give feedback as to why. This phone can play full length films in full wide screen, it can take the bigest memory card available for any smartphone, and has endless numbers of apps available. As for usability, it is by far the friendlyest interfase on any smartphone, it beats the a1000 hands down, and the s60 platform.
