I have had this pone since august 2013 and i am still in love with it. I am still using it but i will replace it soon for the Huawei P20 that i have bought, when i adjust the micro sim to nano sim. I dropped this phone to the floor plenty of times and never broke, barely a mínimum damage at the corner. The camera has been excelent and gave me nice pics during the days. Now its not so good becouse the lent has some scratch. I used it as a router for my pc taking advantage of 4g speed. The battery was just ok, but not so bad like people said if you are not a heavy user.In iddle and speaking the battery life is enormeus. Sincé i bought a mugen replacemente battery at the beggining and used it mostly. Now the original battery is still good and i have the replacement for just in case. Now the covers of charge battery and earphones are gone and the power botton is hard to press, but the screen is new. The screen was good at that time, now cant fight against new smartphones of course. What i hace enjoyed the most of this phone is: -Confortable size and weight -Nice camera -taugh phone. Sincé year 2013 i have never seen again other Smartphone so confortable to wear with so good camera. It served me very well, its still serving me Proud of it

Yes, battery time is rubbish!!! without touching the phone WIFI off - 1 day and half for instance if I charge it in the afternoon and browse, facebook,.. by evening time is 20%. Because off all the updates I now dont have Facebook app nor Messenger app. I use a browser for the facebook and messenger lite. These updates are now to heavy for this phone. it just freezes. Also stopped using the alarm because it freezes... bought my phone in late 2013

Pull down the "top menu" by dragging/swiping top down to access the various options. Tab on the "brightness", there is also a checkbox below the adjustment knob that allows "Adapt to lighting conditions" if it is checked. The change in brightness may also be due to the battery saving. When my phone is below 19%, it will automatically have a lower brightness.

I should add these, it does ever goes to 46.5 C once when I used it to intensive gaming if the ram is overused (idk the technical name, but the free ram ever goes to 0 and the running apps still computing on the setting until it force closed), and need to charged twice per day for it. But after I moved my games to other phone and used this phone mainly as daily need only (like LINE, WhatsApp, etc) it's battery usage is good again (2 days no charge on full standby). About recording, yea it got heated up and stopped only because the internal memory is full.

Serves me well on these 3 years, surprisingly the battery is still considered good (2 days on full standby and maybe even more a bit since I'm not a heavy user) so I never changed it even once, though perhaps I should change it. The lid on charging port came off but that's that. I'm a clumsy one, so it fell down quite often but still fine without a scratch on the screen. The silver paint job on the sides are off a little, but since the plastic color is black, I scratch the remaining paint off intentionally and still looks good.

Would NOT recommend buying this in 2016. But i was happy with it in 2013. This phone has been my primary phone for about 3 years so far. I really liked this phone but it has gotten increasingly slow over the years. The battery life in pretty bad, but i still use the original battery and it gets me through the day most of the time, but just in case a carry a backup battery and a charger almost everywhere. The back camera is very good for its age, so is the screen. The water protection charging flap turn off eventualy , i didn't bother replacing it. They held pretty good , for about 2 years of constant opening and closing, and it did its job since i took this phone to the shower on more then one occasion. GOOD: 13 mp camera hi ppi screen (with ok angles for sony phones of same age) durability BAD: battery life BAD for 2016: everithing else... I am not disappointed in sony, but will try samsung next.

It is the phone I had the most problems with. NEVER AGAIN will I use a Sony phone. Every time I want to make a call, read a sms, or want to do anything on the phone I need to remove the battery and start the phone up all over again. I had the phone for 2 years. Battery displays 80% power left in the Battery, next moment phone turns off because the battery is empty. and that is at about 10 o clock in the morning. I remove the phone from the charger every day at 7 am. I am REALLY Disappointed in Sony. NEVER AGAIN...

Yup. I got that issue. And a lot, I mean A LOT of xperia V andT users got that random freeze/reboot/shut off problem after updating the os. DO NOT UPDATE your xperia V/T os. This causes the "battery protection circuit" inside the battery to malfunction. And then you get that random shutoff/reboot. There is only one way to fix this. Buy a new battery and put that in. And remember, Do not update the phone. Every xperia V/T user is at risk when they update the phone

I bought this phone a couple of years ago.never tuk my hands off it. It has got decent specification except the ridiculous front camera and battery. Don't go for this phone ..buy a phone which at least got 1900mah battery. If u really want to showoff wit this phone, buy a rope and hang itself. I didn't hang myself because I spend all of my money in it. Just don't fly away in ur dreams by admiring its luk. The side aluminum frame is really not an aluminum. It's just a paint. I am telling the truth here.i've been using this phone for awhile and i really like it...the front camera is not good..so if ur like a selfie lover it wud not work well..but the camera in the back is good..u could take a few colored pictures with good quality and use some photo editor available in google playstore to get that finishing touch u want(thats what i do)...u can download songs and the apps work well.i really like this phone and would recommend it IF this phone is NOT intended only for selfies..and it also came with this app called file commander which had made my life easier..if u are planning to buy a phone go thru gsmarena or techradar for specs..watch youtube videos and have an idea about it and go to the store and inspect it..if u lIke it after that u buy it...i spent the money i collected for some years on this..and it was necessary i spent this hard earned money on a phone that fit my expectations every way possible..i got everything i wanted in a phone from SONY xperia V(except the selfie cam-front cam)...i hope to use it untill it wears out and the best thing is..no matter how many times i've dropped it the screen didnt break plus i but a silicon hard case to it the day i brought it and it makes it all comfortable to hold the ultra flat phone(cuz of the cover its plumped up like an iphone).so what i say is before u buy a phone(unless you are filthy rich) to make a list of all the thingz you look in a phone..then search online..and when u find the one you want inquire from your friends or a tech-geekish-friend how that phone would work for you..you see BIG phones are yes,good for showing off but harder to hold and do evrything with one hand..for anyone who wants to buy a phone i RECOMMEND SONY XPERIA V.Thank you..and i SWEAR i'm not lying...infact i wrote this thru my xperia V:)..Goodluck in finding a phone that fits ur tastes and ur pockets.:)

hi guys last year i got the sony xperia v lt25i, great phone. my problem is that a month back it startd over-heating and it would restart itself after a couple of seconds. now it doesnt even switch on, it jst beeps red on the light indicator. how can i resolve this,id love 2 continue using my phone.

Had this phone for two years now and it's solid, only has a small 1700+mah battery but it lasts for a long time on standby (2days with only few short calls a day) Still using the battery that came with it, tread your things right and they will last (unless you where unlucky and got a faulty unit) It charges really fast with the charger it came with. Many times at 1% in the morning and charge it for 10 min and it holds out the day, 40 min and it's at 100%. Dropped the phone few times now and nothing broke, one minor scratch on screen witch is amazing due to the fact that I never had on it any kind of protection nether a case. It does heat up a bit after long usage but would't say its overheating. Maybe I got really lucky with the unit at least it keeps impressing my how fast it charges and how little it uses. The screen is a total overkill but obviously nothing to complain about

Had the phone for about 6 months - really liked it. But apparently 1 month ago the battery just exploded inside for no apparent reason. I was aware that the phone itself was water-proof but I have never tested that ability so the battery wasn't wet nor did it overheat. But the funniest thing in this story that Sony support told me that it was users fault for exploding batteries (phone still had a warranty on it). So no SONY product for me anymore ever :).

Phone didn't last to the end of my contract. In terms of the hardware, the little flip open cover for the opening for the charger could not be closed after a while, and the one at the top for the earphones got bent somehow. In terms of software, the phone keeps shutting down on its own. Another thing I don't like about this phone is the front camera which is pretty much useless.

I have the xperia v with updated android 4.3 software, almost going for 2 years now and cant complain. Charging dock that comes with is nice must say. Best of all I have droped it so many times on the floor but its like nothing to the phone as it got heavy scratches from that few times Well done Sony Keep the good work up!!

Using since it hit the market. I have 2 extra batteries so no battery problem.heats yes but not important. Put it in the water and it coools Down ;-) this is an underrated phone. I have the latest update. 32gb sd micro sd card. Fully loaded phone but still fast. This is the only small and waterproof phone with removable battery. It's light weight, durable,high resolution, Still fast, still great. Highly recommended...

One of the major weakness of the device is Battery drain. Number one cause if internet use and second it screen and third is the processor. So if you are planning to buy this as your primary phone and if you are want browse internet, expect battery life around 4 hours and stand-by time with Stamina mode for about 10-11 hours. This is a shame for a device with 4G capability, but should be the case for all the devices in this price bracket with 4G. It has quite decent gaming capability, but battery would run out after about 3-4 hours. And device would heat-up. It has pretty awesome 2G (GSM) stand-by time, 3 days! Nearly no battery drain when playing songs. I use it has my back-up phone and use Note 3 as my primary device. I hope this would help help you make a good decision to buy to not to buy this device.

I have purchased this phone about a year ago. So far works so good with me and even better after upgrading to 4.3 and I have not come across any lags whatsoever. However, the front camera is VGA and really very poor, but I'm not a big selfie girl so that's no issue to me, but the rear one is so good. Also, the battery drains quite quickly but also charges fast. All in all, it's a very good phone with an agreeable screen size. Slightly bigger than the iPhone 5 and smaller than most of the unattractive giant Samsung phones. I do recommend it unless you're a selfie maniac.

Its false, its not hot. It can be hot when you are browsing a long time. For that case you have just to install No-frills CPU and change the proccesosr speed, from 1,5 to 0,7. It wont heat anymore, the speed is much more you will ever need with 0,7

I love the V. I have had no problems with it. I did purchase another battery, and I have for other phones I had in the past, even a samsung device. It helps so much! And on ebay, you can get a charger with a battery. I think this is a great phone! In my opinion!I have had my phone for about 6 months now. And I had more problems with a samsung in a year with speaker not working, key pad not working, random searches. I liked a lot of its features, but this is the second sony xperia type phone and have had very little problems from either. I like the features on then as well. My next phone, hopefully not for awhile, this one does anything I can do on my laptop/CPU. Just in a different way. But I will continue to get Sony phones!

Xperia v was also mentioned upgradable to 4.4.4 before, but it was wrong and GSMARENA revised it. Xperia SP,TX and T isn't upgradable to 4.4 too , it is just a mistake from GSMARENA team. All these phones are under investigation in sony's site!

I am using this phone for almost 1 year and a half now. I just experience a malfunction right now, I don't know if its the touch screen itself or lcd or the software of the cellphone. Everytime I open on the on/off button my lockscreen will appear but it wont let me touch any number or my pin. It's hanging up and won't get me through my apps. Even if there's someone calling I cant answer it the touch screen wont work. It's hard to type messaages too. I don't know why did this happen. Hi all, have been using Xperia V for 8 months now.I got the white color and ordered it's cover from Casemate (they have very nice & good quality cases for most makes-no advertisement intended) Battery backup was pathetic so had to root it(beware of warranty issues & bricking the phone while rooting) Installed nofrillsCPU and battery lasts for 14-16 hours with moderate use (calls, push email, moderate browsing, camera & wifi on) after which it needs to be charged. Phone is blazing fast although gets a bit hot during processor intensive activities (thanks to water-proof design) Waterproof resistance works good for the first few months but then the flaps become loose hence try to avoid contact with water. This phone has one of the best cameras out there. Picture quality is just perfect in daylight & equally good at night. One of the most good looking, fast & sleek phones out there. I Love MI SONY Xperia V!!!

It was the first phone offered with an LTE Plan .. I was among the first to get it. And I was happy for a while. Perfect phone I thought. But then there are no docks available on the market. The waterproof flap covering the micro-USB gave way. And Xperia Service in the Philippines is just not service at all. So I just became tired of it.. and found newer LTE-capable phones with much better battery capacity. Never mind that they're not waterproof. I will never get Xperia phones anymore just because there're no service you can get at all.

I bought this devise since one month. the battery is the big problem. you cannot use the advantages of the phone because of it. I have to charge the battery twice or three times a day, that's not good in travelling. STMANIA mode doesn't make a big difference and alarms of reminder notes does't work automatically on stmania mode .. you should turn on the screen first.. so I ofen lose my important events. about the camera.. Not all the functions work with the 13 mp !! so the almost time I use it on 9 mp in my country EGYPT i could update to android 4.3 by using USB cable & computer because there is no available update through wi-fi , some functions don,t work after update at the end i don't advise to purchase this bad devise

Hi. I got my xperia v for almost 6 months now and I just tried dipping it into the water for I think only 5 minutes. It was working while in the water but then I took it out and set it aside for I was aboutto swim in the sea. Then I went back after 30 minutes or so only to find my phone off and hot. I cant turn it on anymore and i tried charging after letting it cool down but still it wont turn on.. Help!!!

I love this phone!!.. Got it for about 3 weeks and nothing lags, its fast and my battery last for about a day.. fair usage.. on heavy usage like browsing, instagram, twitter, facebook it drains yes.. but then I just plug in the charger and im all good. Luckily i dont play games much as this would have drained the battery faster... I was going to take the Z1 compact but compared the specs and its basically the same and would have been an overkill for the way I use the cellphone.. I need to upgrade the software but have been seeing people complain about the issues and not sure now.. will check out some other comments about the upgrade and then decide. Well Done Sony!!!

But I can change to the second battery and it´s still waterresistant.I didn´t test it, because it´s not coverd by warranty (like poor Samsung, too). This is my 3rd phone in the 6 months. I love Sony but this phone sucks ass big time. i've bought 3units of sony xperia v and after 2months of using, 1 unit shutdown and cannot be open until i send it back from where i've bought the phone. Then the other 2units problem is they suddenly turns to low volume after calling using Viber. just around 20seconds of talking then you can no longer hear the voice on the other line. then i tried to listen to walkman music and even the videos sounds is so low, but if you check the volume button, its still the same setting on a loud volume. then i tried to restart the phone and its back to normal. all 3 units have the same problem. anybody experience the same problem, shutdown and low volume? i've sent the 3 units already and still when they get it back to me, its still the same, they cannot figure it out how to fix the phones. please help! thanks!

Hi there! My girlfriend bought the Xperia V a couple of weeks ago. It's working excellent except for one big dilemma. The alarm won't ring..! She's tried everything. It won't ring, until she hits the start button, and light up the screen. Then it comes on. Weird. Won't work with any app. It's the inbuilt alarm that's the issue. She's got the latest 4.3 update. As we all know some models are faulty, I know someone with a Xperia V that is experiencing problems with the new 4.3 Jellybean update but not any major difficulties. Sony Xperia V is probably the best phone in its class with good pixels,camera,processing and ram taking the price into consideration.I have had this phone for a year now and I know that a opinion is too late but now I can say in the long term excellent phone except for one thing and that's the battery,with the new 4.3 update I am saving a lot on battery power but still to small.Otherwise excellent phone like I said for the price. Another reason why I think the ZR is the perfect phone with correct size and power although I do prefer the 5" Sony's.

Sony Xperia v has a more superiour display with its sensor on screen technology giving a sharper display in the HD display category it beats tbe zr in display as I have both but sometimes it can't handle alot of tasks and hangs with a screen compositing bug I upgraded to 4.3 and I am satisfied 8/10 better audio and the camera is just awesome but needs more tweaks definitely v

I had a 4.3 software but after the update bluetooth did not worked very well with my car. I decided to reinstall software with PC Companion (repair software). After I reinstall it, I have a 4.1 and then I connect the phone with PC Companion or Update service programm It's says that your phone has a latest software. I know that feel bro. Thats happening to my phone now, its totally dead because there is water in my xv. I think it comes from the speaker or mic, cause I'm pretty sure all port and back door was closed properly as usually. I think you have to repair it at sony center like i did. It might be take a long time to repair it, about 4-12 weeks. Sony center has a bad service center.

I downgraded my phone to 4.0 due to that 4.3 has many bugs the update is not stable and downgraded many features and slie the phone and many error. They always do this after they upgrade their unit the phone is not stble anymore this is the best of sony can give to us who use thier unit. Just look for ftf file for xperia v. And flash with flash tool.. My LTE didn't work out of the box. I had to manually reflash my phone.. Sony couldn't help blamed the provider.. That was the first disappointment

hey guys, i want to tell you. i've been use this phone for 3 months, i use it everytime i take a bath, swim and sometimes when my phone get dirty i wash it with soap. but yesterday, i wash my XV with soap as ussual and its dead. i bought it to sony center, and they said i have to wait for the lcd replacement for at least 4 weeks to 90 days. im so dissapointed with sony now, not like other brand such samsung or blackberry, they have quick service, they dissassamble my phone directly in front of me and it took only 3 days to repair it. i was so disapointed with sony why they had slow service. fyi i live in indonesia. so becareful if you want buy sony smartphone, i'll be wait for my phone and sell it as soon as possible.

Well.. After nearly 1 years, using this XV.. Maybe it's time to upgrade.. I'm just heartly dissapointed, when upgrade to 4.3 Jelly Bean.. Battery management is doubled.. Battery getting hotter.. Can't charged the phone until the battery power is empty.. Don't have any problem with XV when it's running on 4.0.1 and 4.1.2.. Fast Internet.. Nice walkman.. Nice Camera & Video.. Super phone, updated to 4.3 with no problems, after downloaded the upgrade, the phone ( you have to execute the file downloaded your self) installed and restarted and installed some more, by it self, and after about 10 minutes, the phone was ready to go, everything runs smooth, realy good video and photo, realy good sound in walkman, no negative things to say, nice job SONY. ;-)

i flash manually my xperia v with flash tools. firmware singapore and it not good many bugs. and after that i flash it with india firmware and it much better than singapore fimware but the camera still bad, worst. and now after i connect my phone to pc companion yesterday it detect a new firmware update 4.3 with build number 9.2.A.1.199 and i can say this is the update what i want is improve the camera in 4.3 and im really happy now with my xperia v. again the camera now is really amazing. and i will observe it my xperia v performance for now.

you just left your phone on airplane mode, right ? this has something to do with google. install an app named fast reboot and task bomb to schehdule it to automatically reboot during the night time, it should help with the battery drain.

what i hate about after the upgrade to JB4.3 was the screen capture. You now need to press the down-volume and the power button at same time. Not like from the previous version, just pressing the power button in 2-3 sec and u can tap the screen capture option. But the rest... It is simply amazing ;)

Ok, guys I found how fix the problem with SIM card not reading. It's 100% safe. You put the phone in very cold place like freezer and hold it for like 10 - 20 minutes and then take it out and put it rest on the table (the phone must be off all the time) about 2-3 minutes and then turn it on if then it doesn't work shake it a bit till it turns off, hit it to your hand but not hard. And then turn it again on and then it must work. The main reason why the SIM card is stopping working is over heating. Don't let your phone heat over 40 degrees by Celsius.

In my view 4.1.2 is allot better than 4.3. but 4.3 does have some cool features. Pros: 1. Camera Apps. 2. Xperia themes. 3. New Media apps(Album, walkman, Movies) 4. After I I changed my operator and putted the phone in water my SIM card stopped working. I put the SIM card in other phone and it works greatly. After a while I put the SIM card back in Xperia v it works for a while and then says that my selected service is not available. I search again for service. I connect but it shows that my SIM card isn't connective and that I must make sure that SIM card is inserted. Helps only sim card change. But the phone is waterproof. Doea any body have this problem? Kabayan, please try to use PC companion. Then make sure you have stable internet connection if not, most likely it wont detect the new update. Also you may need to disable the anti-virus from the pc you'll be using, it will interfere process when you're downloading the update. [I always disable my anti-virus when Im updating my phone's iOS and Android] Hope that helps.

Hopefully Sony produce battery with at least 3000mAh for this phone. Definitely to maximized its performance. Based on my experience, when i'm using mobile data(LTE) in this phone, my battery drains so fast just about 2-3 hours of non-stop using it, For me that is the only bad side of this phone but the rest is performing very well. I love my Xperia V, thanks for the 4.3 update which make UI more smoother and better.

Well said... By the way, the 4.3 update for this phone made it amazing. I do admit that I encountered the camera bug after the installation but it has been resolved by re-installing the update. I really love the change specially that you can now take pictures underwater by pressing the volume button as your camera shutter. Also I think 4.3 update will be last update that this phone can get but lets no loose hope. I'll just have to cross my fingers and wish that 4.4 will be available for this device.

Yes you can update using both PC companion or OTA but OTA isn't accurate and the best option is to use PC companion instead. Hope you can update.. :) I've been waiting for the update of this phone up until now but seems like the 4.3 update of the Xperia V made its camera bad [BIG TIME], specially when you're taking pictures in low light. Unlike from 4.1.2 which has better results, proactively advice you to update. If taking pictures isn't your thing the feel free to update since 4.3 update is really good, except for the bugs. You can check the camera bug videos from "xperiablog.net" or "youtube.com". Updates are optional but I guess I'll just stick with 4.1.2 version... XD

I am going to show you my review of 1800 Mugen Battery for xperia V comparing it with the 1700 stock battery (Sony). My phone is uderclocked to work between 0-702 mhz with NO-Frills CPU. Both batteries work great 9 moths after buying them. You have to take into account that the results are not very exact becouse the smartphone doesnt let me control the accurate drain. System: 4.1.2 Jelly Bean VIDEO PLAYER Stock battery. Conditions: stock player, brigtness 12,6%, airplain on,bravia2 off, main loudspeaker. Results= 55 minutes with 13% of drain. Other result with mxplayer and 8% brightness= 60 minutes with 15% drain Mugen. Conditions : mxplayer, brigtness 12,6%, airplain on,bravia2 off. Results= 56 minutes with 18% of drain. Other tests said 44 minutes with 12%of drain and 90 minutes with 39% of drain Conlusion: the drain is similar. Yoy can play videos during 5,45-6,5 hours. I think the stock battery is slihgty better than mugen battery. STREAMING Stock: 21 minutes with 18% drain Mugen 19 miutes with 14% drain Similar results HEAT Stock get hot faster WHATS UP Stock 1H 40 MINUTES, 30,5% Mugen: 40 minutes 17% CALLS Stock: 63 minutes 6% Mugen: 78 minutes 6% It seems Mugen is better but i am not very sure of this result, the lack of accurance doent let me know the exact % INTERNET Mugen: 21 minutes , 8% , 3g Stock: no registered i think very similar PRICE Stock: As far as i know Sony doesnt sell spare batteries Mugen: 35 euros (transport included) AFTER SEVERAL MONTHS I CAN SAY THAT MUGEN BATTERY IS ALMOST AS GOOD AS SONY STOCK BATTERY. They say that Mugen has 1.800 mah but i think has less than 1700 actually. However the quality of mugen is very very good and i recomend to buy one and wear it in your wallet for just in case you need it. Xperia V can achieve the following: -6,5 h of videoplater -14 hours of calls (i think you actually can get much more ) -120 minutes of streaming, maybe a little more -5,5 hours of internet -5,5 hours of wasap (maybe more).

Battery Life is reasonbly good, plus if you are using extended standby mode. The battery is pretty strong for gaming, but i fear that the phone may heat up. I downloaded and played 'archangel' on my phone, but due to the high graphics, it was heating up pretty fast. You may start expeinecing freeze, or battery drain when your phone start heating up.

Of course yes, i bought this phone last december and i wash it everyday, i put it in the sink, wash it with soap even when i swimming and take some selfie with self timer camera. And you have to know, sony said this is "waterproof smart phone" with ip55 sertificate. It mean you can put it in the fresh water till 1 meter. But you have to close the charger port and 3.5mm jack port properly. Ps: after you put it in the water, your speaker and mic will be so noisy, even you cant hear anything. Shake it several times, let the water inside your speaker dry and your speaker would be back normally.

hello, i am Israel form Nigeria, i bought my sony xperia v on Wednesday, this phone has a better performance than i anticipated. It is just excellent, the battery life is good, but it depends on how you manage your running apps. I put my phone to the test a day after purchasing, filling my wash-hand bowl in the toilet with water, then i dropped it inside with the video camera on, it is just wonderful, i even played music with it inside the water-filled bowl. It is indeed water-proof, but you have to ensure that the back cover is appropriately closed as well as the USB and earphone covers too. Battery is good, left to me, i mostly use wifi, because it is battery conservative, if i am not browsing, i don't use WCDMA 3G or LTE 4G, i use only 2G GSM. Then i also enabled extended standby mode, i do not use any third applications battery apps, battery life is just fantastic, i do play games, listen to music, but i don't usually browse much like that, unless i want to use portable hotspot.

Yes u can, u can put it in water till 1 meter. I always bring my phone every time i take a bath, i wash it with soap and sometimes i takes a selfie under water hahaha. 30 minutes mean u can drown this phone under water up to 30 minute in 1 meter under water. But for me its normal since I notice that most of the mid-range smartphones from Sony has this kind of feel. Also I already submerged the phone and took pictures from it underwater so it proven and tested that its "water resistant".. If you ask me, the bad thing about this phone the battery life. Its drains very fast but no worries, since the battery is removable. Just get yourself an extra one [How about MUGEN.], specially if you're the person who loves to use LTE. By the way, the camera of this phone is spectacular! ive used this phone for about 6 months....i gotta say that its best phone in this price range....battery is a turn off but all other features are great.....display is razor sharp......plays 1080p videos easily.....waterproofing is also good......performance is good (it rarely lags on really heavy use).......camera is mind-blowing.....design is also pretty good.....lightweight.....user interface is best.......the bad things about this phone is its battery......it drains quickly......i totally recommend this phone =)

I'm quite confused for your question. Anyway, the LED notification light from the Xperia V wont light up if you turn ON the "Power Management" setting. In other words, if you turn that OFF the LED will light up when you have receive SMS, CALLS, or Facebook feeds. Hope that helps. As for Kitkat, Sony didn't have an official statement whether the Xperia V will have KitKat update. :D

Be warned, do not buy Xperia V, its an unusually attractive and nice phone to hold and look at but thats only on the surface, with daily use it is insufficient in so many ways, and way overpriced. I loved this phone. I ride and being able to toss it in a pocket and not worry about rain etc was great, but then I cracked the screen and the phone was unusable. It was a small crack but the phone could not be used at all. Given its sold as a rugged phone this is a real problem. You cannot rely on this phone if you're in a situation, egg mountain bike riding where it might get damaged in a crash which is exactly when you may need it most. When I turned my phone off and turned it on again it did not receive any signal from network, showing emergency only. I had to restart it several times to get it right.
