I am using this phone since a year...actually its very good android phone as compare to others....if u r using whole phone memory then tell me which single phone would not hang...its problem of all spice mi350n owners...clean the process through process manager on regular interval and u will find that ur phone is not ping to hang again...and also for memory card, dont use memory card space more than 80 % of its capacity . .otherwise ur phone will tends to consume more phone memory to access the memory card....and phone will hang more often...

Finally got the phone (spice mi-350) rooted. You can google 'unlock root'. I used version 2.3, but there are more recent version. Yes, it's free (I used the free version). You need to download the program and install in your comp. Then turn on USB debugging and connect your phone to your laptop. It has a very simple UI based 3 step process, quite easy to follow. [Note : once you start the rooting, it unmounts SD (you'll see notification on phone) and it disconnects from comp. 'Unlock root' tool stops with display 'getting USB debugging'. Just take off USB cable and connect again, it'll move on to next step.] Then used 'Root Uninstaller' and got rid of all the useless stock apps : Bollywoodji, stock watch, Mig33 & all those useless games. Phone memory is free now, just 80 MB of 220 MB used. Not to mention, the battery life improved significantly. [48 hours standby with Internet (3G) on, 80 hours with internet off]. Worth mentioning : I did NOT uninstall any app that I wasn't sure of as useless. So, please exercise caution while removing root apps.

ok bought the phone in oct'11 the phone was good in the price range no problem about that. but god help you if it fails. the spice service is pathetic. my phone is lying at the service center for 2.5 months now. not repaired for one reason or other they even charged 350Rs on some pretext even if the phone was under warranty. buy it only if you think you are buying a chinese phone without warranty. go thru this forum, you will find the same complaint from anyone who has need for the service centre. bottom line SERVICE IS NONEXISTENT.

Rooted it and installed custom rom ....bala rom 1.01(xda forums) i have tried others also like (silver-light 4) but best is this... to enhance the speed install v6 supercharger ..(guidelines at XDA forums) Now you will feel bit relishing... otherwise this phone is hell... Suggestion: Dont go for it!

Hi, been using this phone for over 9 months ... no real probs, considering the specs. This the Lenovo A60. I rooted my phone in a few days after I bought it.... did'nt like the spice customizations/apps. 188/202 memory makes things real tight. Don't install too many apps. Great bang for the Buck!

I bought a Spice Mi-350n handset one month ago. But two days ago, my handset started showing a message "The Application Mango Launcher has become unresponsive." This message appeared continuously and i was not able to use my phone. So I went to Spice service station "ASC K.R.Enterprise" in Sibsagar, Assam and showed my handset. They said that your OS has crashed and they would reinstall the OS. The next day they called me up and said that the OS would cost me Rs.200. Just after 1 month of buying the smartphone the OS crashed and I was charged Rs.200 So,what's the use of buying a smartphone of Spice when it crashes in just a month and to add to it, I have been charged Rs.200 in the warranty period. So, what is the use of WARRANTY? and not only me, many of my friends and relatives have also suffered with the same problem in the same model. So, I would like to express that the quality of Spice is very poor and I am not going to recommend anyone to buy such a defective model which crashes after only a month.

ok , tethering is just simple,, 1.just connect the phone to laptop/desktop pc via data cable, 2.wait to get the message "Turn on USB storage" 3.do not turn it on,press back,u will get to the home screen 4.go to settings>-wireless and networks>-tethering and portable hotspot 5. then just turn on "portable wifi hotspot" and "usb tethering" 6.just wait for 5 seconds and once they are on,just open any web browser in u'r pc and open any site, it will open.... if done , please reply thanx :-)

have been using this for a month. Camera is OK, system is slow hangs often and you will have to remove the battery and start again. Totally unnecessary applications that cannot be removed which consumes memory. Downloaded applications cannot be moved to SD card. Even if some applications can be moved the short cut icon will disappear from menu!. My phone just got crashed after the touch screen got a software problem. Now the phone is at the service center, who does not have the requisite software;;so I am waiting...and waiting. The service response is pathetic. DONT EVER THINK OF BUYING THIS

first of all before bying spice mi350n i also read all these post for help, now after using this phone for more then two months i can answer most of your quarries this phone suppors adobe flash arm6 version google it battery life is normall even 30k android phone won't give you more then one or one and half days backup there are many rom for mi350 search xda mi350n rom wont work for mi350 root your phone for removing unwanted apps like spice gang ibibo etc and use titanium backup.. after rooting you can do things that are not officially supported{go to xda and search for more info} good phone for money that will help.

Average decent phone comparing cost to features Pro's: Decent display, dual sim, twin camera, responsive touch. Con's : Bad battery life, Can't uninstall preloaded apps(take up too much memory), insufficient internal memory ( phone hangs and reboots), hangs off and on, many downloaded apps cannot be activated. Just a decent phone but cannot be called smart cos cant use all apps with the amount of memory or power

I was using samsung galaxy 3 before this one. Let me tell it outruns galaxy in everyway. Possibly the best phone below 10k INR range. To utilize the phone potential one need to root and then flash bala's 1.5 ROM. Once flashed its better than samsung galaxy y, htc explorer, lg optimus net, motorola a75. Battery backup is reasonable if not exceptional. Using 3g regularly drains a lot, use 2g if usage is only google sync.

Hi, M User of Spice-350 worst phone. First problem, If you are using 3G network for master sim and slave sim is also in phone then any one calls to slave sim number will always listen "Out Of Network" You cannot received calls on slave sim if 3G is on and activated on Master Sim. You can do calls without any problem. I have sent to Spice service center get the phone after 25 days they tell that the PCB has problem. So this problem cannot be solved. Other things are good. If you use 2G network then its work good also batter time will be extended. Regards

Subh... you need to create a folder "media" in the sd card. Under that "audio" and inside that 3 folders namely - "alarms", "notifications" and "sounds" Put your alarm or notification inside respective folder and it will appear in the Audio Profiles under settings menu. The folder structure should be media --> audio ---> alarms notifications sounds

Dear all I just ask 1 question for Mi 350n. How much time in full charge of battery with original charger. Because before mi 350n I was use mi 300. Spice is replacing my phone to mi 350n due to warranty replacement. My MI 300 was dead 2 times in 7 days. So that spice gives me mi 350n. But they not give me whole accessories they told me Mi 300 hand free & charger is compatible for Mi 350n. but when I charge my mi 350n with mi300 charger its spend 3 hours to full charge and also hands free of mi 300 will not properly work with mi 350n. Please tell me full charge time of mi 350n with its original charger because after 1 month phone warranty is expiring.

I am in the UK and bought this phone on my visit to India in October 11. It is a gr8 phone for the price. The dual sim works, 3G works, portable wifi works. In fact, I am using it to connect my laptop to the net (no tethering required). It allows for call recording, decent video cam. If it was not for the useless pre-loaded apps (which are difficult to remove), this phone would have been 100%. I am going to order some more of these for my friends and family in the UK - it's that good!!!!

I am using Mi-350n since 6 weeks and can video-call with my Idea 3G network. Although its not very clear the function works well. I think in your case there is some issue of network provider settings. For a while you may check with a spare Idea / BSNL 3G network for verification and then seek help from Vodafone.

The technology is like this. When on GPRS, phone won't work. 3g won't block calls though. So when you are on 2g and data is activated you engage a sim. In dual standby mode, the other sim is already deactivated so both sims are not available.

There is a little problem in this Phone. When there is no 3G signal (i.e. only 2G/GPRS/EDGE signal) during internet surfing, both the SIMs are "not reachable". I have got the software upgraded from Spice service center but it is the same as the previous one and the problem persists. yes you can. switch on your laptop wifi, then go to setting in your spice mi 350, go to wireless and networks, switch on wifi there, and then click on tethering and portable, switch on portable wlan hotspot. connect your laptop wifi with spice mi350. you can also connect your spice mi350 with laptop via usb and share internet by switching on usb tethering.

Don't Turn on USB storage mode when prompted on phone screen, instead press the middle key. 5. Now, go to settings-> wireless settings->USB tethering and activate it. 6. Help the windows to locate the unzipped driver files for installing. 7. Now the phone will work as a Lan connection. Just activate data connection and enjoy interneton PC.

Hi guys. I have been using the handset since around 3 months. I did not have much problems with it, except the software issue: Whenever I exit any application, it gives a blank screen, so flashing the ROM ought to resolve the problem. Overall it is a good phone especially within the price range. Unique phone with dual SIM, and most affordable with a front camera for video calling etc. Did not like the accessories, the A.C. adapter looks like a very simple one, with no LED. Even the headset was not too attractive. However the design of the phone and especially the material of the body etc. are superb. Excellent graphics. Just that the RAM falls short; especially while playing games for a long time, need to reboot the phone. Overall, an excellent phone within apparently half the price. I'd give it 4.5 ratings.

If u face bettery backup problem then try green power free app which is downloadeble from market.currently i have 3 days bettary backup using this app.

Using the Spice Mi-350n. Till now the experience is superb. The phone gets a little slow on opening multiple apps. I'm having a problem with video calling which was the primary purpose of buying this phone. I'm using a Vodafone 3G sim card. While trying to make the video call, it opens the front cam, but within seconds I get an error message saying something like "video call not activate". Vodafone customer care says the phone model is not supported for video calling :( Video call over internet: Skype with video calling feature is not loading. The app is crashing when video call is enabled during the installation. Without the video calling feature, skype works perfectly. I've tried skype conf calls - works fine. Any help on video calling will be much appreciated. Thanks

Activate the gprs/net connect plan on your phone. If you have Vodafone, they have two internet access.. One is the normal Vodafone live, it will give you the basic internet facility through browser. To connect the in built applications, you need to have Vodafone Mobile Net Connect. Ask them to activate this on your number. Please Note: You will have a different charge and data download limit for Vodafone Mobile Net Connect so check for the plan that suits you the best.

As far as compass goes i absolutely have no idea what it does.. i am telling you what others have discussed.. i have no use for it anyway! Yes it is official firmware upgrade.. I have a Galaxy Tab with Gorilla glass it doesnt easily scratch when you are using finger (only) repeatedly so no need for a display/screen protector! One good news for all Spice/Lenovo users: The latest Firmware upgrade allows you to use both the sims when internet - GPRS/3G is active! :) No more not reachable msg for 2nd sim..

So, I thought this is the best place to clear all my doubts and get the answer from the real users of the mobile... I was not asking about 'Gorilla Glass' one review which I read says that it have scratch resistant display... (And for your Information Gorilla Glass is Not Scratch Resistant it just doesn't break when your mobile falls from the height... I know this because, I already own HTC Wildfire which have Gorilla Glass and it have some scratches on the screen...)

Answer is Yes to most of you questions. It has all sensors but no compass GPS is actually present (wrong info in gsmarena!) It doesnt have 'gorilla glass' if that is what you mean.. Internal memory is 220 MB if u want all that you have to spend Rs 20,000 more!

it lacks behind with micromax a75 in terms of display size, capacitative buttons, adobe flash player in internet browser, led flash for cam. but it is better in terms of speed it ihas more speed than micromax a75. buth big let down is adobe flash support. handset of this price range should atleast have these basic features to make it complete hence i have decided to wait for samsung galaxy y duos and also they are dual sim dual stand by not dual sim active. its my request to spice to launch dual sim active instead of dual sim standby it increases the usablity of dual sim and are true dual sim phones. hope samsung launches galaxy y duos with dual sim active technology

main difference between spice m-350 and n is that n has purely capacitive home buttons,less internal memory 188 mb where as 350 has manual buttons for home etc. and internal memory of 221 mb.

Well its a month with spice mi350, its only good to have it if you have a wifi connectivity,GPRS/EDGE/2g sucks...not tried 3G yet. No video calling: both over skype/oovoo: PLZ SUGGEST SOFTWARE FOR VIDEO CALLING Its very slow, in background all the apps which came along with ROM restart even if you would have killed them 20 sec back...this makes it moble very slow...

its great phone, look is fanatastic .its originally lenavo copy. Hardware is lenavo . when you go to download any application from android market it is recognised as Lenavo Mi350 . check to make sure that you placed the sim in sim1 slot (the one with wcdma mentioned in its slot) and also if you have 3g enabled with network connectivity. also, in settings-wireless and network settings, check to make sure you have GPRS transfer pref. set to call prefer if you are not using internet, else keep it data prefer.

i am using this phone since 2 months. nice phone in terms of money. got the phone and 16 gb memory card for Rs. 9,000/- only (bought at Thane, Mumbai). GPS is accurate, GPRS is fast and wifi tethering works nice. camera is not so good, but cant expect much in such low price. android market works well and majority of apps work well. even VPN works nicely.

pcsuit is not required in this phone . if u have laptop ,on WiFi hotspot and if u have desk top download the driver from spice site and connect your phone with data cable ,switch on USB tethering and install the drive r download from spice web site . then your mobile will become a LAN and u can axis internet .

i am using this phone for last 5 days .its working good, few problems which i faced till now is that the tochscreen is responsive but still the message writing is very hard actually its alwyz hard on touch phones. if u r using ur cell for messaging purpose then its better to go with some qwerty insted of this phone. it doesn't fulfill the messaging requirement. most of the time while writing message the touch screen doesn't read the touch and the letter doesn't appear which is very annoying hope you all understand what i was trying to tell you. hope it helps you making decision.

It is a dual sim phone with 3g video calling support. and fring and tango works fine but skype not working in this phone. Browser supports flash and raging thunder, angry birds, fruit slice, speed car work impresively good but fruit ninja lags little bit when ur phone memory is full. In this u can easily move ur installed apps to ur memory card.battery last up to 3-4 hours if u use continously. Skype crashes as soon as i tapped yes to enable video chat. Un-installed skype and installed again with tapping "cancel" when prompted for enabling video chat function in skype. Voice chat is good quality. But skype video chat could not be checked because of skype crashed every time without starting. i bought this phone on 24th November. cant say anything except amazing. video recording and pic quality is good if u are not a photo maniac. bought it last week for 7899/-.seeing it my friends too bought it. rooted it.. its very fast. games work great. has gps, agps,3g, wi fi, dual sim, secondary cam and lots more for just 7900. build quality is good. the display is amazing and the touch responsiveness is also great. no restarts till now. great call quality. sound recording is possible with androrec. sound quality is good. the only prob is that the phone is out of stock everywhere except saholic.com.

This phone's come with android 2.3.3 and one can able to install all android apps including doc viewer, pdf viewer etc... RAM is not much like 200MB because of which it becomes slow while working with too many apps. If you use 3G more than 2-3 hrs, battery drains down fast.
