vivo X5Pro - User Reviews

  • About battery so nagative

  • Can't play ROV Shit phone.

  • bed battry backup :: i m not happy yaar

  • I have the same problem. I think its about less of memory space, so you should try to delete some data or uninstall some applications from the internal memory. Hope this can help you.

  • i am also use this phone u r right battery back up is not good

  • Vivo always run after slimness of its devices, which looks stunning visually. The slimmest phone is the world X5Max is made by Vivo which proves my point. :-) But this obsession for slimness comes at a cost. Battery capacity. :-( For the one month I used X5Pro, I found the battery backup to be slightly less than my X5Max. This is contradictory in the sense that X5Pro have a slightly bigger battery (2450 vs 2300 mAh) while the screen size is also slightly smaller (5.2 vs 5.5 inch). So theoretically at-least X5Pro should have marginally better backup. But that is not the case as the software OS of X5Max is better optimized than X5Pro. Hence X5Max have slightly better battery backup and the GSMArena reviews will also reveal the same. Later I sold X5Pro because X5Max simply demolishes it is every area bar none. Display quality, audio quality, camera quality, built quality, reception quality... you name it and X5Max is the king. I don't know how much this will help but you can go into the built in iManager app and look into the different Power manager modes.

  • m using this phone but it's battry backup is very bad. any solution?

  • The international version of Vivo X5Pro is actually the cut down low cost version of Chinese X5Pro. The X5Pro which Vivo sells in other countries except China comes with a lower quality and cheaper AKM dac rather than the better quality Cirrus Logic dac + Maxim headphone amplifier. Hence lower quality audio from headphones. From software side it lacks the famed Retina Scanner of the Chinese version X5Pro. After using their awesome Vivo X5Max flagship, I found my X5Pro not even half of X5Max worth.

  • it does not support many apps at a time. it hangs many a times.

  • Vivo X5Pro is a good phone as I owned it, but fades in comparison to Vivo X5Max which I own till date. After using both phones you will feel the cheaper X5Pro to be a cut down Lite version of the X5Max.

  • It happen to mee too

  • thx a lot for u advice

  • It's nyc phone they one dual glass body the camera is awosome best on the all mobile and run soomth nyc i was use with dual sim+mmc and good .... Nyc phone

  • Its a dual sim phone but sim1 can't detect the sim card I inserted in. It doesn't show the two sim poles at the notification bar too

  • I've done any thing possible but my phone can't detect the sim1 card

  • Hey bro it supports otg u must know how take it out

  • you need to update the google stuff first. It happens to me; then my frens told me to update the google stuff like google play srvices, google services...etc related to google...:D then it will be ok.

  • I used X5Pro for a month or so, then I sold it. It is a good phone irrespective of price but feels more like a cut down Lite version of Vivo X5Max when you start using it. It has beautiful dual glass build which is beautiful to behold but not so great to live in. All good looking designs like in X5Pro are not all that practical in day in day use. It is no wonder Vivo did not build a second dual glass design after X5Pro.

  • Can it be used with MetroPCS in the United States?

  • So vivo x5pro...have use it for couple months..no problem except it really need to install keyboard that have smiley...and i cant seem to find how to video call seriously...

  • download french version????

  • Thanks for the info. However I never used the X5Pro much and sold it in olx in a month. When you have its bigger brother Vivo X5Max, you do not need a X5Pro. It fades in comparison to my X5Max.

  • @Rishiguru : it supports otg bro... just go to settings-more setting- turn on OTG

  • I have use vivo x5pro since 6month ago..I have problem when im trying to update my application.its not working..when Im try to update..its download for 3 times but can't installed...that worst my data..any friends have same problem with me??please help me..

  • use it almost three months. only one thing bad on this phone. it is serious over heating problem when using internet and even worst when using video call

  • I m usng Vivo-: the fantastic phone since 5-6 months. I ll say only one thng abt ths phone, this is almost a superb quality phone made in today's arena. nd who r sayng tht they r nt cmfrtbl or ths phn is worst or wht ever, perhaps dnt knw how to use ths phone...They dnt hv maturity to use ths phone... they shldnt dsrv... :-D nd lastly I thnked to the engineers, fo ths phone thnk uh... :-) Vivo, a phone of Fun nd Fantasy....

  • Never knew X5Pro have no OTG support. Very sad as they sell this phone as their flagship device. But X5Max have full OTG support as I own one of them.

  • since last six months i am using this x5pro phone good camera quality ,stylish good hi fi music, battery life is good but one thing full battery charging take 3 an hour funtouch os RAM is good no hanging problem but compare to iphone n samsung other brands is good quality

  • I have a vivo x5 pro since 3 months . But its function is like 3 years old . It not functioning properly . Automatic switch off and on . OTG not support . USB not support. Battery capacity time is 3-4 hours. But the most hurtest thing is till now no support and servicing advice receive from vivo customer care .

  • The stock music player "i Music" that ships default with Vivo smartphones is truly neat. It is simple to operate, easy to use and one the best music players around. I love it more than any player I have used in any smartphone. This player also gives access to the "HiFi" button which when enabled activates the DAC chip inside the phone to improve sound quality ten folds. As Vivo markets all their products as "HiFi", the seamless operation of iMusic software is paramount to there success. It only pains me to find out they fail in an area like music for which their customers buys the product in the first place. This only highlights their degraded product quality and utter ignorance to the software part. Even though you have somehow managed to play FLAC files through "i Music", the software still remains flawed. It is still not able to properly read the metadata from any FLAC files, hence all songs come under "Unknown Arist" and "Unknown Album". This is of no use and complete nightmare for any music lover, as finding a song among hundreds of them is equivalent to finding a needle in a haystack. In my V1, I have also tried the same as factory reset, etc. But it was of no use and the player simply refused to play any FLAC files. Mind you the same FLAC file will play butter smooth in my Vivo X5Max which uses a different version of their Funtouch OS. In the end it is up-to Vivo the get its act together (which they never did in the entire product live of X5Pro released in June, 2015) and provide the software patch required to solve this issue alarming issue. But rest assured I can guarantee we will never receive any software update, be it your X5Pro or my V1.

  • Hi, so i was trying to factory reset it through recovery mode, doing all the cache wipe and then reboot it.. And then guess what? it plays FLAC files now! i'm so excited when the sound finally came from my library. But one thing that the flaw still exist, and that is it still cannot read the metadata of those flac files (including the album art), causing them to be listed under "Unknown Arist" and "Unknown Album". This also makes me unable to find them using the search function, what a letdown. I tried to install poweramp and it can play flac and read their metadata correctly (also the "hi-fi" showed up too!), so this is not really a big problem for me, but the stock iMusic is beautiful and i loved using it. Now i have converted all my flac files into 400kbps aac just to make them readable in iMusic :)) But still..can't get enough of the impressive audio output.

  • You are not alone as my Vivo V1 have the same issues playing FLAC audio files with the stock player. In their official website it is said both V1 & your X5Pro supports FLAC playback. I have also raised a thread highlighting this issue in their forums with no proper response. (www.vivoglobal.com/bbs/showthread.php?tid=97655) It seems the stock audio player that ships with their Funtouch OS 2.1 overlay (built over Android Lollipop 5.0.1) does have some issues in not supporting FLAC files. Both V1 & X5Pro runs on Funtouch OS 2.1. With the pathetic zero android version upgrade policy followed by Vivo I am certain you will be stuck with this issue forever. Saying that my X5Max have no issues playing FLAC files as it comes with Funtouch OS 2.0 overlay (built over Android KitKat 4.4.4).

  • Is it just me, or is this phone cannot play FLAC audio files?? the stock player (imusic) just can't play them, it always show message "cannot play this audio file".

  • "Pro" means "Ordinary phone at an extraordinary price". Of-course this is applicable for Vivo and its Chinese sisters like Oppo & Gionee. Hope this helps!!!

  • what does "pro" means actually, it only uses snapdragon 615 and below 3k battery with only 2gb ram with the price of almost double vs its competitors

  • I have purchased vivo x5 pro eight months back and since the day one its hangs every time. many times i have visited CC but no result. Really i hate this device.

  • Precisely. If you want a great looking phone at an exuberantly high price with superb build quality then look no further than Vivo flagships like X5Pro. But from specs side it is not even a flagship material and competes against Xiaomi, Lenovo or LeEco budget handsets like Redmi Note 3, K4 Note & Le 1s respectively. And their competitors like LeEco/LeTv have improved the build quality to a level that you will be hard pressed to choose between Le 1s or a X5Pro only for looks. So by paying more than 2x the price of its direct competitor models like Note 3 or Le 1s what you get is exclusive looks and nothing much else to talk about. And even by paying 2x more for X5Pro you will not even get a single android version upgrade in your phone where as Xiaomi & Lenovo will role out timely android updates for the their phones.

  • Just sharing my personal experience with X5Pro. I have recently bought this phone and I must say that I couldn't be more happy and proud about it. Very classy looking phone with great music playing capability. I take public transit and always get people's attention cause of the phone. Looking at me my brother also bought this phone and he is also loving it. You cannot decide by just hearing people's comments about this phone, you have to see it and hold it in your hand. I can guarantee you that you will like it right away.

  • it's not only vivo or apple who sells their phones at unjustifiable price, other companies too, take example: samsung, sometimes apple sells their phone more unreasonable than apple, or at the very least the same level of unjustifiable price as apple..

  • Good to know you are so happy with X5Pro. It reminds me of Apple users who are very happy about their iPhones. You know why? Since both Vivo and Apple sells their phones at an unjustifiable high price to incur their marketing expenses plus fat profit margins. This strategy is good for them but not for us. Any day you compare the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 available at less than half the price of X5Pro you will find how big these companies like Vivo are looting our money by slapping straight in our face.

  • I have been using this phone since last month. Really happy and satisfied with the performance. Honestly speaking, I was fairly sceptical while buying it but my husband had been using Vivo Y51L and asked me to take a chance with this brand and it has surprised me. The Funtouch OS is much smooth unlike usual Chinese smartphones we have in market, plus the phone has great music and camera quality to offer. I am quite happy with the product and will recommend it.

  • Heating problm x5pro

  • I bought a Vivo X5Pro last week from Beijing. When inserting NANO sim card, I am able to make and receive calls plus send and receive messages. However, I am not able to access internet as the it does not allow me to select the local network but instead shows only China networks eg China Telecom, China Unicom etc. Can someone help in advising how to setup the network to local provider.

  • Hey! Nice cellphone ....slim and very friendly look like...nice tag.."vivo"...sounds cooool...i thinks looks nice campare to all mobiles....its hardware and software are not bad ,super saver and long screen shot ,wifi sounds etc are very nice features ...according to its look and cool feature ,it os not bad phone at these price range...

  • vivo x5 pro Vs samsung galaxy j7. which one is better?

  • Brp plzzz go for one plus x...it was awesome phone... Its better then vivo x5 pro.

  • X5 pro. ...main drawback. ..it doesn't shows the internal memory as said...and usesable memory is less than 6gb... as it has an optional dual sim if u uses both the sim then u have less than 6 gb storage which is very less... and it is not a drawback it is a defect...which vivo is unable to solve... if vivo can't solve this problem they must take their replace or refund money to customers....if not then they are cheating with their customers

  • Not a great buy for the price of 20+k.very slow when you want to call a missed call number. No con-call facility.

  • I am using Samsung note is this good as vivo x5pro so sell my note 3 and buy xpro

  • Slim phone with good design .****** I like it

  • Hi prashant, I a better experience with one plus x, I strongly suggest to go for one plus rather than vivo, because one plus has comparatively high resolution cameras and more features than vivo. I had compared it with vivo, nexus 5, honor 6,and zenfone 2. One plus x is the true flagship killer. Go for it. ##

  • Very high price .

  • Just wanted to share my experience with the Vivo X5 pro. At first look, an amazing phone...I've got to be honest, its the best 'Iphone' lookalike that I have seen! Beyond the initial awe of the device, what really got me was the fact that I could not save anything to the SD card...the phone is said to have 16 gb of space, but in reality only about 7 is available for the user. For me this is too little, halfway through my apps, it kept saying to me, 'insufficient space'. You only are given the option of switching between 'phone storage' and 'system storage' which both are on the actual phone. I went to Vivo Customer Service in Malaysia (Berjaya Plaza) and after two hours of waiting they informed me that it was impossible to save app data to the SD card. This seemingly was a system constraint...I was ready to accept, but was further shocked to find out that even pictures and video you take with your camera cannot be saved to the SD card...you have to save to your phone, transfer to your computer and then save to your SD card! So ultimately, I don't understand what use the SD card has if it is this severely limited! In the last update, there was the option through iManager to transfer app data to SD card, but this is disabled and no longer available. I hope VIVO smartens up and allows this future, in a near update. As for me, have returned my X5 pro and bought the Xplay 3s...although it has no SD card, it gives you about 23 gb of storage (although stated to have 32 gb).

  • My x5pro doesn't work well concerning with mobile data..... I can't use the internet related things like social network and browsers smoomthly.... Connection lost everytime in line and viber.... Even the samsung phone which only cost 150,000 ks works well with that... Can anyone suggest me why????

  • ITZ the best phone...I got everything what I wanted ...

  • So upset I cant make video call using vivo x5pro huuuuu...

  • Its nearly one month now using Vivo x5pro.... Pros... -Screen is great and UI sometimes resembles ios(apple) -phone runs smooth -phone is very slim and sexy -speaker is at best place -original transparent cover -swipe screen from home button to upwards and you get shortcut of all setting at lower side of screen -battery and camera is good -inbuilt imanager can control the autostarting APPs thats great -sound is great(speaker and headphone) Cons..... -Samsung's galaxy S3 screen is sharper than it -second sim cannot be inserted if using sd card. Inbuilt 16 GB is insufficient -when I play 3D chess game phone heats up -no shortcut for wifi hotspot -a little costlier, should be below Rs.20000/- I Will share more after using it more...

  • Really ? Bt mine x5pro is very gud

  • Best powerfull mobile

  • I have purchased X5 Pro after using Vivo Xshot. There is a focusing issue in main camera. There is no pin point focus and at times it doesn't focus at all. There is no solution with service center also. May be later the bug can be removed by update.

  • Yes it supports.

  • Vivo x5pro is so smooth And good But price range is high

  • the design of the phone is nice and easy to use... however, there's some difficulties in sharing files or apps through Bluetooth unlike Huawei's phone... vivo iManager... I recommend tht not to trust the application much on cleaning up the phone... my apps are 'cleaned' and gone.. I have to reinstall everything... thankfully that my contacts and the others are still okay

  • How is it...the phone

  • Defo x5pro I have it.. but I don't have 615 version but mtk mt version which is faster..

  • someone please tell me, which one should I buy, Sony Xperia C4 or Vivo X5 Pro?

  • The performances are great. Picture quality is good too. Battery life last for 1 1/2 days of heavy usage. Vivo is way better than Samsung as I'm using both. Samsung is lacking alot.

  • Please check specification. It has Octacore processor, not Quad Core.

  • Phone is good but Price should be less then 25 k

  • How is the phone's performance, camera and battery life? Can it make through a day of heavy usage? Does it take a long time to charge? Samsung A8 or this?

  • Does it has ambient light sensor & led notification? Considering either this or huawei p8

  • battery heating issue, drain very fast within 5 hrs.

  • Vivo X5 Pro or Oppo Find 7a?

  • Dude, nevermind .Just let your Oppo go away.Find 7 is a fast heat and battery dry fast also. I only play tower of saviors and it heat so well. It also have a problem is, fast charging fast losing. I think Oppo is the wrong choice. PS:Are you work for OPPO?? If is true,Nice try OPPO.

  • This mobile is value for money product ..hardware quality is awesome

  • Just bought it yesterday (26/7). Im very disappointed indeed. The battery drain so fast and heating so badly without gaming! And its took 5hours to fully charge you kidding me! The primary camera photo quality wasn't up to my expectations. Too bad can't get back my oppo 7. Oppo 7a/7 are the best quality, battery, functions and performance.. too bad I make wrong choice to let go my oppo.

  • this phone as hifi music and touch very smooth and faster ....

  • 1 week with vivo x5 pro.. overall good. compare lenovo vibe z that I used before, camara x5 pro much better than vibe z, sound system much better, earphone almost same sound quality, screen clear both same, performance quite same-both smooth, wifi reception better than vibe z, bluetooth fast connected. interm of battery usage, 1st day I get x5 pro, I very disappointed about battery usage, drain so fast. even in idle condition, 30% was drain in 5 hours, but after 2 times update in a week, battery quite good. but just sent beta update. I believe vivo will sent more update. signal also bad before update, sometime suddenly signal lost, after 2 times update, good. i'm quite happy with x5pro sound-speaker.. better than phone that I used before (better than lenovo vibe z, lenovo vibe x, samsung galaxy wonder, nokia 5800)

  • Get ready to get flopped Big Mistake of pricing it in 28k Vivo i could buy 3 phones with the same price with same spec.

  • Spec same like Galaxy A7 but higher price tag?

  • Great The Dual Processer Mediatac + SnapDragon... Dual Os
