Dude just switch on your camera.... there are different modes on the top of the screen (while the camera is on) just go to where it shows the resolution like 320x240, 128x160, etc. just select the resolution of 40x40, a red box will appear on the screen. Adjust the face of the person in the box and click the picture. Now go to contacts and select the persons no. and add the picture to it. (This feature works only if the person's contact is saved in your phone memory.)

I have only had this phone 3 years and i HATE it! it is on charge almost 24/7 and when it is not on charge it lasts no longer than 4 hours before shutting itself off, the message sending is slower then a snail, cables don't seem to want to work, temperamental, not a great choice in games, crappy ring tones, only thing i like about it is that it is flip phone part from that i regret buying it.

I really want someone to answer my question, so I may as well answer someone else�s questions that I know the answer to. -The keypad lights up blue -It has 1 game called action life which has 3 sub games in it called drive (just jumping over rocks and ducking from birds), throw (throwing objects as far as you can) and balance (keeping up right on a train). I personally don�t think the game is that good. -The phone has an option of 3 different flip tones or you can choose to have none. -The external display lights up when someone is calling/ texting or when the handset is open (which is pointless) and when you�re taking a picture of yourself. - Caller ID is shown in the external display, it is possible to attach a picture to a person, but you only see it on the screen not the display screen. Im not sure how to attach a persons picture to a caller yet (that was my question), but it is possible because my brother has the same phone and he did it. Although he has no ides how!! - The inside screen shows everything.. Battery, connection, profile it is set to like vibrate or ringing, GPRS, alarm, voice mail and more. Top of the screen is icons, can have any picture from your album as the background. Bottom menu and contacts. Then shows date and time. - Menu is a gird of nine options. -When adding a person you can add them into groups of friends, family, colleagues, VIP, group 1 and group 2. You can put in the home phone, work number, email and fax. - If you take care of it shouldn�t scratch. Mine looks great and I�ve dropped it twice. -My battery I think lasts for a about four days when I don�t use it at all (which is rare), but if you do use it lasts for about 2 days. Overall I think it�s a very good phone, but there are a lot of more modern phones out now with more features like blue tooth and video camera. Hope I helped you out a bit in deciding weather to get the phone or not.

I have also had this phone for 3 years and it has been excellent. It has never crashed on me or broken. The only bad points are that it doen't have bluetooth, which i really wanted, and it doen't have a video camera :( But it is a really cute phone. I would give it an 8 out of 10 :)

i have had this phone for 3 years(yea i no i need a new 1) and it hasn't given me any problems whatsoever, but the only problem now is that i really need bluetooth for work so if you need bluetooth dont get this phone, but it is a great first phone for kids and i would reccomend it thoroughly

To get different photos to come up for each contact is simple if u know how (altho not in instruction book!) U just have to take a photo, but before u do set the size to 48x48 (not 128x160 OR 320x240 etc.) Just save the picture, and then it will come up when u "Edit" a contact, go down to "Picture" and u can select the one you want! Simple but its not in the manual!

Im on my second LG 3310 in two days. First one turned on for 5 mins and failed. Second one actually turned on but the earpiece doesn�t work, just crackles. A friend of my wife has the same problem after three months with the same phone. Two of these phones, brand new from a reputable dealer in two days and they don�t work. So will not be trying a third one! Looks like a good phone if you can buy one that works.

NES: yeah you can, when it is flipped close just hold down for about three seconds the camera button on the right side of the phone, soon a black and white moving image *photo* will appear and you take it as normal but in black and white. then when you look at the pictures inside, they are in colour :D

personally, i don't like this phone. I've had it for about half a year and im so bored with it!! there's just nothing to do on it. the camera isn't that great. I can't find anyway of using those voice memo's as ringtones. on the line of ringtones, this phone has no decent ones. There have been several time where my phone just won't do anything saying "Please wait". And sometimes text messages haven't come through, i had to turn my phone off and then on again to recieve them. it's probably just my phone, a one off rubbish one.

The LG C3310 does have a voice recorder built in. You can record up to 3 memos up to 30 seconds each.

I contacted LG last week as I wanted to get photos from the phone onto my PC. I was told that I needed a Serial Data Cable (around �17 inc postage), and with a few weeks lead time. I asked about a USB cable and was told that they only do serial ones. I read somewhere else on this board that the USB cables being advertised on Ebay may not work with the LG C3310.

In response to Tal, Lexi and mukku, my earlier post details how to add pictures to your phonebook. You have to change the size of them from 640x480 in the photo scren, to 48x48. Photos taken will then appear on the phone where you can use them for phone entries etc. The LG C3310 is a great little phone (especially at �19.99 with a trade-in at Orange shops). They are very hard to come by now though, so be prepared to travel to get one. Mine has developed a problem where it intermittenly switches off and back on again. I'm replacing it, and hope the replacement is OK (other than that its great) - Camera, colour screen, nice interface etc.

To ionut...The answer to your problem is you need to put photos in your albums to have photos in them....When you take a picture it dosnt save to my albums it should save to My photos.....My albums is your own personal photo album that you can create with photos you choose....

hi, just wanted to warn people who have this phone. i bought a data cable for this model off ebay, the ad was usb data cable for LG C3310. i tried everything to get it to connect and got nowhere. in the end i asked LG why i was having these problems to be told that this model does not support USB datacables it has to be a serial data cable that connects to your serial com port one. i got one of these from LG and connected straight away no problem. so dont waste your money on usb data cables.

Hi i love my phone but since i bought it 2 months ago i have had problem after problem and reading the comments on here i think maybe i had a bad phone to start with. my phone freezes on the egg timer, it doesn't ring or get text msg unless i turn my phone on and off periodically. i ahve taken it back to the shop 4 times now and have to say they have a bad customer service. this last time it seemed ok but today it froze again and i ahd to turn it off then on. has anyone else had these problems?? Also i bought a data cable installed the software and nothing. i cannot connect to my phone. is there some trick to this that i am missing? please email me if you know. thnx

Have had this phone for a few months now, and it's great, apart from one problem. Every so often, the screen suddenly turns off. The only way to get it back is to close the phone then open it again, very annoying if you're in the middle of something! Anyone else come across this problem?

Hi, I'm from Czech and I bought this phone about two weeks ago. I think it's a great machine, but there's something I don't understand. Dunno if you don't have different software than me, but I guess it should be about the same. When I download some ring tones it's downloaded in Incoming messages and I have no idea how to use it for the ringing tone or how to save it in another folder or something.. I'd just like to use it.. Can you help, plz?

I think this is a great phone for the money. I paid �54.99 in the orange shop when I traded in my old phone in August'2005. The only problem I'm having is trying to get hold of a Data Cable Kit so I can transfer my photos to my PC. If anyone can tell me where I can get one from, I'd appreciate it?

Just got it only �54.99 of the Orange web site and it is really good. Light, packed with features and as somebody else here has said the LG website offers loads of great free games and ringtones.All in all a top phone with a very clear easy to use layout.

If you log onto wowlg.com and you register your phone you can get up to 200 points which you can use to download games, music and other stuff. Some of this is free, for which you will need your cable, and a game is typically 55 points. Every day you log on you get another 2 points.

Put the camera mode on ... change the picture size to 48*48 click and then you can save this picture to your addressbook

Can you attach a photo to a name so that it is displayed when someone calls? The LG website says you can but I cant find how to do it. I keep getting "phonebook empty" when I try to use the function when adding a new name.

Just for some of you that had the same problem with the volume of the ring tone - You have to go to Profiles - Left side down, choose Normal and there you can adjust all what you need - sounds, volume, effects and so on. Have Fun!

Hi Everyone, I brought the LG C3310 Yesterday from Orange. It is �79.99 when you trade-in your old phone or �99.99 without trade-in. I have had the phone just over 36 hours and honestly it is BRILLIANT! The design of the phone is great and the camera is great. You can take pictures when the phone is closed by using the screen on the front, however this screen is NOT colour. Basically when using the camera when the phone is closed the image is made up of a series of small black dots. However taking pictures when the phone is closed is not good at all. To begin with the picture is black and white and when you are happy with the positioning of what you are taking the finished result does not look like what the front screen shows you. Other than that the camera is brilliant. The design of the phone is small, compact and smooth. It is one of the only flip-phones that does not have an antenna apart from the Samsung E330. The design of the menu and all that are brilliant. Games are good (so my sister says) i havent had chance to look at this as of yet. There is a quick menu on the screen which I find more difficult to use than the main menu. A main disadvantage of this phone is that it does not have a Speakerphone therefore calls cannot be made without having the phone to your ear. If you are 'hard of hearing' then this phone is not really for you. You need to choose your ringtone carefully as even when on maximum volume and vibrate it can be sometimes difficult to hear. I recommend the Ringtone called No.9 as this can be heard easily. The phone is really appealing, smart looking and for �89.99 you cant go wrong. In the past 5 years i have had 5 phones and this is the best one yet. Some answers to commonly asked questions: Q. Does the phone have a radio A. No Q. Does the phone have bluetooth or Infrared A. No Q. What do you get with the phone A. Phone, headset, charger and strap aswell as the usual instruction manuals. Q. Is the phone TRIBAND (Triband means if it can be used in European countries inc America) A. The manual says the phone is Dualband but you will be able to use it in countries such as Ireland (worth checking out if considering purchasing this phone) Q. I bought it yesterday but I am not 100% happy with it - it seems to have problems with the week sound picked up by its microphone. It is also a bit bigger and heavier than I expected - Has more functions than Samsung 460 but I would like it to be at least a bit smaller.
