Owner of this device. Most of normal usage, it runs smooth. I see no issues other than CONS listed below. Pros: -Crisp image detail -LED Light at the back can adjust its brightness -Color adjustment, B&W option -Bokeh feature is great for photo creativity (can adjust) -File Manager is easy to manage. Cons: -Panorama has issues on camera (bubble eye). No fix -No LED light for messages/notification -Speaker at the bottom. Sound is not balanced as watched videos (headset recommended) -Auto brightness doesn't follow light sensitivity. Hassle if enabled. -Some edges didnt response quickly

The specs states that it support wifi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac network. But my A7 can't detect wifi ac network. It only scan a/b/g/n network. Is the specs incorrect, or something went wrong with my phone? How can I fix this?

Totally okay with the phone. Using for six months. Good battery lite, stable UI. But it's a bit slow, I'm not happy with the performance; I think Xiaomi serves better performance with this price. But I got this phone for overall quality and S-AMOLED screen and happy with those. And since it's a mid-tier, performance is acceptable.

The newer Samsungs are, the worse they are. Believe-me. There is an outrageous lack of quality control. My brand new A7 keeps telling me that the SD card was removed. Nonsense! My wife's A40 keeps closing applications in her face. My A5 had the power on button fail three times already, was repaired three times in less than two years. The list is endless. Current Samsungs are sold full of bugs and no one seems to care. Together with Apple, they fully took hold of the market and now they sell downright unreliable devices. My S4's and S5 from 2015 keep working perfectly. I was careful NOT to make any software update. These are nothing more than poison to stuff your phone's memory needlessly. Don't be naïve. Do not install them needlessly.

Yes. And what I've noticed these few weeks is a slightly better network (wifi hotspot) connection, and the camera quality is back to stock imo.. not better but I'm just saying it has been reverted, so yeah.. acceptable.

If you look on specifications, A7 2018 is 1 year younger so that means there will be more updates and it will be supported for some time more than NOkia 8. Screen is bigger on A7 but i think quality is on NOKIA 8 side. A7 has a full glass body so you'll need a case because it is easy to fall it is slippery. Both of them have pie but A7 came with oreo so it should receive 1 major update but Nokia 8 maybe just security updates. SAMSUNG ONE UI is more better than google android ui so it is for me very good . Memory is pretty the same on both phones. On A7 there are 3 cameras (37MP= 24+8+5) an 24MP selfie. On NOKIA 8 there are 2x 13MP cameras and 13MP selfie camera so i guess A7 2018 has a better camera but that doesn't have to mean that, that is just what i think. A7 has a radio , NOKIA 8 doesn't have. It has C-type charger, A7 has microusb charger so i heard that c is faster but i prefer microusb so you can find charger everywhere. Fingerprint is better settled on Nokia 8 but battery is better in A7 2018 for 310mAh but NOKIA 8 supports fast charging so it is a +. Both phones are great, A7 is younger and i am not sure about Nokia quality in android , they were better in WINDOWS PHONES. But it depends on budget you have, if you have more budget maybe it is better to check some newer phones(2019) in A-series or M-series but A7 is not so bad. I could say for me that is a machine , do the job and it's great. Samsung is quality. I hope that i helped you.

The Samsung Galaxy A7 (2018) is good, in my opinion. The only drawback is that it doesn't support any kind of Fast Charging and the Battery capacity is only 3300mAh. Other than these, it is really a solid phone.

I don't see any major problems in my version of phone. THere some people said that is not good phone. I think that is not a bugdget phone. It has some thing better than S-series. For example S9 has a 12MP camera, but this has 37MP(all 3 cameras). I could agree that phone was better on oreo because of less functions but in PIE is also great. Only bad thing is that the phone is fully glassed so you need case after you bought it. But it depends of budget you have to decide what phone is good.

The battery life at least in my case is incredible, about 15 hrs of being used every 5 mins and the games run smoothly so maybe you just have way too many apps open. You do need to understand that this is a budget phone and not everything will be premium class.

This phone is rubbish. Sonud is very bad, there is no protection like Corning Gorilla Glass, camera has 4×zoom, also, games like Mobile Legends don't work well and battery has low capacity.

I must say that in my case (my sister is using that phone) is pretty good machine. It is not buggy at all it has lot of ram and memory . We don't use mobile for games or some other stuff , we are not fans of that. We use for calls, messages, networks, apps , streaming media and pictures and music. It works perfectly , only thing that is bad that phone is fully glass. If you don't have case it is so slippy and falls. I agree that works smoother on PIE and UI is better. Camera is great it has lot of mods which I think that isn't needed. Battery capacity is pretty ok. It can handle 1.5-2 days without problem with one charge. It is ok for that things but also pretty good machine for some heavier things who wants to use. I also don't like china phones . Huawei is really good but that thing with Google don't give me confidence ( only in P30 ) but i also prefer SAMSUNG. All of my devices are SAMSUNG and they are the best.

So i got this phone recently from my dad.at first, the phone is really buggy and the system ui crash alot.so i dont know why its happen so i look into it. Apparently my dad didnt update to android 9(pie) because it is bothersome.After i updated it, it because so much smoother like butter and rarely crash.The camera quality is nice,it has 3 camera one for normal,second for wide,and 3rd i dont know for what.personally i think my og pixel xl camera is better.I didn't know this phone can gaming or not as i used my pixel for gaming.The battery capcity is 3300 mah which isnt that big compared to nowadays standard which is 3500mah - 5000mah.I think this phone is suitable for person who use only social media,chitchatting, and watching movie.I recommend you to buy china's smartphone such as xiaomi,huawei and etc which is cheaper and has a better perfomance but im a samsung fanboy so i guess i will stick with samsung.

My advice is to install on your pc SAMSUNG SMART SWITCH and connect your phone with usb to PC when program is launched and recognised. On the page you will see something like: THERE IS NEWER VERSION OF SOFTWARE. You click that and instalation will start automaticly. I installed on that phone PIE with SMART SWITCH and it works fine, maybe you should try that and if it won't work just go to the Samsung official store to get help best for your phone.

I must say that I am very disappointed with this phone , bought the device in April and 3 months later in the morning tried to charge but nothing ,tried different chargers still not success ,then decided to take it to my network provider guess what was said ,the mother boot died it is not charging therefore it needs to be replaced,I mean what kind of phone dies just like that within less than 3 months of using for the price its not on,Samsung must really stop selling us such expensive garbage,the camera is also not as good as its advertised ,if falls off once the screen gets cracked horribly regardless of the intensity and fall impact ,overall I will not advise anyone to buy this phone its a disappointment.

I updated mine recently and i now have the 2019 June security update. The update itself was a 400MB+ one and since i've done it, i can see improvements in the performance of the phone (no more lags when switching between apps), the network connectivity is much more stable and got some features in the camera settings like recording videos in HEVC. The pictures i take in low light look better than before. I also can feel some improvements in the battery life. I did not pay attention to the charging time but i will be testing it soon. So my conclusion is that if you are facing battery draining problems and network problems since the pie update, you should be getting an update if not already that should fix the issue. Thanks.

Trust me, all are maxed already. Camera and video is under 24 MP. Back then, I though that was because of the beauty filter being turned on. But I turned it off already and camera worked fine. Does your camera still work good even in night shots?

there is only few modes on A7 and some other modes didn't perform well. on my a7 just only using the normal , wide and modes only and edit using 3party apps.

Let's just agree that we all regret updating from oreo to pie... I have not read a single positive comment about the upgrade. Not all of us have the same issues but every person has at least something that went wrong with pie, while everything was working perfectly with oreo. I wish I listened to the comments but curiosity killed the cat in the end :P I hope that this june security patch fixed some issues, I haven't received it yet and people who got it didn't write anything about it.

I mean it's so obvious that they produce excellent phones but there's a lot of cons like the camera which I've seen the worse, &, etc. The whole point of my opinion is the A series is the main reason for making the company far away from the competition.

Download samsung smart switch on your PC and just connect the phone with USB and you'll be able to update ;) But I wouldn't recommend updating as the phone worked better with Oreo... there's no option to autocorrect distorted edges for photos taken with wide camera mode anymore, and some photos/videos are kinda pixelated on facebook/instagram, while none of that was issue before updating.

He's not sick. Just because one camera has a higher megapixel count than a different one does not make it better. In most cases, what should be compared is the real-world result. I've used the HTC M9 with 20.7MP back camera and the quality was somewhat worse than an older phone I had with an 8MP camera. Numbers on specs sheets don't always mean everything.

I am having A7 2018 (A750F) model, Android 9, security patch update April 2019. The FM radio is working ok with headphone and speaker of handset. But when I want to connect the sound to any bluetooth speaker it is not connecting. Other sound/music/video etc except the FM radio audio is very well playing with my bluetooth devices. Can anybody suggest what to do to get FM radio out put in bluetooth speaker???

GSMArena got it wrong at video. Here are the real results: 1080p @30fps 2224x1080p @30fps same details like on 1920x1080 but cropped a bit. 720p up to 240fps with 2.5x Digital fixed zoom. I got 192fps and max 211fps Super slow mo in 1 second capture, can't chek fps on that :) total film of 3seconds, from which 1 second of superslowmo is 6 seconds, resulting in a 8 second video.

For the full screen apps, disable Chrome and use Samsung Internet instead. Chrome is notorious for displaying ads and the such in the notification bars. Problem was solved when I disabled Chrome, also Samsung Internet has add-ons so you can download an adblock for it too.

I dont know what you all are talking about. This is a very good phone - especially compared to other phones in this price range . After the update it works even better, I have no problems. Finally update 9.0 / One UI is came on my device, and it work perfectly in Last two days, battery life is improved for about hour of SOT. Two things are missing, Lift to wake and parallax for home screen, I don't know why, for example Galaxy A8 2018 have that two options and chipset is the same. Even in description of One UI is written Lift to wake option but there in no one.

Just received android 9.0 with one ui and I think it's great. It gives a really new look and everything feels faster than oreo. I also think the front facing camera has improved a bit. Haven't had any problems.

At first, after updating my a7 to pie it looks good but when the time goes by i notices that my battery drains fast and theres some lags when you open an application so i try to do factory reset and ta dah! There's no lags at all and my battery goes back to normal usage.. and one thing i do notice is my front facing cam, i think my front cam is better when its on oreo than pie, maybe they will fix this on next update

I been recently update my phone some features will downgrade like the quality of the camera and also the speed of your data im using globe simcard and after I update my phone while playing MOBA always having like 300 to 280ms while. in the event that im not updating my phone its always been like 100 to 60ms only and the quality of that camera its like over filter effects. and also the multi windo will be disable. so I advance you just wait till the next patch maybe they will fix does issue. on that A7 2018

the only advantage of A6+ is just only the metal frame allum body and more battery. but when it comes to the over all performance much better go for A7 and don't update you phone to Pie version.

I think also split screen unusable after update the phone and also like some other review after they update there phone. performance when it comes to data getting worst. always disconnecting on the game specially mobile legends. the saddest part you cannot go back to the Oreo. hopping that Samsung will release again update on this phone sooner that will does error on the pie one UI update

After update it become laggy. Multitasking is not possible now. Previously i can play 'Hustle castle'='HC' multiple account Simultaneously. Now when i try to play even 2 HC the other one restarted. The game is also become laggy. So disappointed. Even the luncher become laggy. It was better b4 the upgrade :(

I already update my A7 the patch is Feb. 1, 2019. this what I been notice - some pictures and video on Facebook seems to be pixilated ? I donno if is that on the update or is that on Facebook it self?? - night mode does not work if you have themes. it will be applied using the default themes by Samsung luckily am using nova launcher so that I cant customize my tools - and is not other said that lag. I updated to android 9 PIE and it works ok. No bugs. Camera ok. 4G signal ok n fast. Didnt notice any problems reported by other users. No lags. I installed nova launcher because the samsung launcher is ugly. Its perfect. :)

hi my friend at the first look at to your adapter and read any thing on it. it so amazing. in all box of this phone Samsung put traveler adapter. also cable of this adaptor like fake . plz read all friend any thing that wrote on adaptor. remember a8 2018 had this chipset with this specifications with 18w adapter fast charger . i sent email to Samsung company several time and want explain it. also in sammobile site and gsmarena have some differences in specifications. the ugly update !! On the front camera, when you click the settings it suddenly close. There are themes that are not fit in the version. they should test first before they release the update! if they are not sure to the update there should be a way that we can reverted back to later version! i think they did not go through the test when they released this version.

Wow! Samsung just wants to be in microsoft league nowadays! Providing updates that would guarantee headache for it's consumers. Why just not provide a solid good update like twice a year not pulse checking if the update would work or not? Does this phone really use Super AMOLED screen? I compared this phone side-by-side with A30 and A50. The A30 and A50 screen looks much better. Also, this phone is priced between A30 and A50 (about $50 price difference). I don't see any reason why anyone should buy this over the A50.

dear friend thiis year a series of Samsung smart phone build like fake phone. for example all of them make by plastic. a7 2018 (plz read review in this site) had triple camera but 5 megapixel camera doesn't work and only for show. a30 and a7 both have 14 nm chipset like 32 bit chipset. any of them don't have any ip( dust/water resistant). in some model only use of gorilla glass 3 and .... but i suggest buy a50 maybe best of them

Have had this phone for 2 weeks now, and it is the best 2 weeks of my life. I dont know why everyone is so upset with the aluminum body. I can honestly say that the phone feels more than sturdy, and with the smooth touch of glass i dont even think about that. Camera is amazing. Loudspeaker, earphones is over the top. I've never experienced better battery life than i have on this phone. No overheating issues as well. I really have no downsides on this phone guys, for me it is value for money. I normally dont write reviews, but i felt this phone is worth it and i recommend it to everyone. To those with battery life issues, i have no idea what you do with your devices. With an averag use i will get 1 day and 6 hours out of this device. This includes use of wifi, location, Always on Display, and without the powersaving enabled. With powersaving i could probably get a lot more out of the device.

I had the Huawei P8 lite for almost three years. I have upgraded to the A7 2018 and have had it for just over a week now. What an amazing experience so far! The Octa-Core CPU and Dedicated GPU makes gaming smooth and with zero heating issues. I used to play hearthstone on the P8 Lite and it got blazing hot, where the A7 stays cool as a cucumber, even with its plastic cover. Battery life is something I'm not used to. I charge into the 90's and remove from charge at bedtime, around 12am. In the morning, 6 hours later, it has used between 0-2% charge. With heavy gaming usage during the day, I can still get it back to charge at 12am with +-20% charge left. Beautiful screen, beautiful build, excellent feel and convenient fingerprint sensor. No notch! Switching between tasks are basically seamless. If only it had wireless charging it would have been the perfect mid-range phone, but it's pretty much 99% there. I'm LOVING this phone.

This phone gives me so much problem, first month of use, i experienced screen burn where i cannot see some part on the screen until the black color covers eveything even though it was not dropped nor sunk in the water. I went back to store and im glad the store fixed the issue but 1 day later i noticed that no one can hear me if i try to call someboday, they will hear me only when the loudspeaker is on or if i use headset. One last issue, before it took only 2hrs to charge the phone from 12%-100% but after the software update, it will take 4hrs now to make it fully charge. So what's now samsung? No more quality on your products??

Been using the phone for 2 weeks now and so far I have no problems. Phone is smooth. No overheating issue, satisfied with the camera, and uhm I think that as for the battery life it's somewhat normal because I only use my phone for social media, youtube, calling and texting so yeah it'd somewhat reach 1 and a half day before I charge it. And yes, from 20% to 100% it will somewhat take an hour and 30 minutes to be fully charged.

The fingerprint sensor is bad. It`s embarrassingly slow and not very accurate. Well, it may be because I use my hands a lot, I have some parts of my fingerprints missing because of burns so that probably takes part in the bad reading. So I don`t use it. About the triple camera, it`s shit quality, honestly. While you look at the pictures in the phone they look acceptable and that`s it. But the battery life is great. After using mine for 4 months I can tell you this. This is a good buy only on big promotion. Otherwise there are better choices on the market.

You can't match the camera quality of the great S7 edge with A7 or A8 period. There's lot of noise in the pics on both due to lack of OIS. Samsung flagships are miles ahead in terms of camera compared to their mid range phones.

I like the MI A2 a lot as it is an Android One device (he already has Pie). Google software is very smooth and performant. The camera is also pretty good for that price category (there too the google software is helping). Plus it has monthly update. I have the MI A2 lite just because I wanted to test Android One (my daily device is the Galaxy S9). I'm quite impressed by it. Also on benchmark, I think that the Mi A2 has the better numbers.

I'd like to argue and, as an audiophile with Dolby Atmos activated on the A7, it's quite amazing in quality, like 4.7/5, better than my dedicated iPod I had for exclusively listening music on. Camera is good not spectacular as hyped by Samsung, it takes decent pics in good light but struggles in lowlight conditions. Screen is amazing for the price, built quality is also good and battery life is great but if you want to buy a phone only for camera then you can look for other options.

I have not seen any proved fakes of this model in the net, yet. By the way he is not the only one with this problem. I have seen few people in other forums mentioning similar kind of problem. I`m trying to help them with advises, but they will probably end up factory resetting. If the battery is draining really fast there is high probability of battery defect. It`s typical behavior for all kinds of Li-Ion and Li-Po batteries to lose charge crazy fast when the internals go bad. Which is also the case for aged batteries but as our A7 have not been on the shelves in stores for more than 6 months this definitely don`t fall under this category. There is one more probability. He can have messed up software which cause super high activity that drains his battery like mad. If that is the case he can try with factory reset. I have about 170 apps installed and my phone is working normally. But I have gone trough every settings available to control every aspect of them while working. As using net, restrictions and many other things.

According to all of the reviews I have read and watched before I bought mine can play things like pubg and asphalt without problems. I have not put that to test as I bought mine for work. I simply don`t play any games. If you gave a read here somewhere in the last 10 or so pages there is one huawei dude Chee Khuan that was explaining how the gpu is outdated model and is not anything worth mentioning but I have not made any effort to research if that is true or not. Someone was asked me to run Antutu last month, so I download it and gave it a go. This is the result . There was a problem tho, I forgot I had switched my phone to Battery save "MID" profile. By the time I was finished testing with uninstalling the apps it was too late to do everything again so I gave up. Which is why the number is lower than what others were reporting - average score of around 122 000 points. I don`t really know if that test is good enough for showing the true performance of the phone and honestly I don`t care. The phone is working the way I`m expecting it to and this is enough for me.

Let see, according to Corning the front is equipped with Gorilla glass 3, and the back is 2.5D. Going with the logic the lens cover should be v3. I`m not going to test it as I don`t have the necessary tools anyway. I don`t like to take risks and I settled with the roughest looking hard cover I managed to found which is the one on the left looks almost 100% like the marketed picture also the stand is actually useful. ==== WARNING!! I just tested the camera lens cover with scratching it with Utility Knife - it left scratch mark! While on the front screen there is none. In conclusion the lens cover is probably only 2.5D. Be careful! I`m so glad that I started using big hard covers from the very beginning.

This is not true. The phone doesn`t support fast charge. Even if powerful charger is used the result is the same. I know because I have already tried with few, between them with original samsung S8 charger. The charge time from 0 to 100% is around 2 hours and 15 minutes. The technology for fast charge doesn`t rely only on the used charger and cable, you know. It needs the proprietary implementation in the phone itself. Otherwise it would not work. The maximum current that the phone can physically draw is 1,58A within 5V range and that`s it.

Neither. A6+ will feel slow (not much different from J6), A7 will feel cheap. How about A8? (A8+?) But glass back is everywhere - and this trend is a complete disaster. My phone's back panel cracked in my pocked being in a protective case. (It wasn't S but glass is glass regardless of brand.)

On my A7 I have VoLTE active on one of my sim cards but the other one doesn`t have it because the operator/carrier doesn't use that technology yet. So currently I don`t have the means to test this.

This is amazing! I'm rooted and fully customized. Every single pixel in my screen is black. Not single piece of code can run in the background without my permission. If I leave my phone screen off all the time it can go for days and days without even 1% drop. However, there's a serious problem; it is the SoT. GPS is poor unless sky is very clear. Even then, sometimes, may take a long time to get a fix. Switching on the Google location services (i.e. use wifi hotspot location and 4G base station locations) help but sometimes makes things worse if wifi hotspot recorded wrongly by Google and gps fix not there yet to correct it. If gps alone, once cloudy and rainy day or in concrete canyons, performance for car navigation is bad - takes long time to fix, location may not be accurate enough, even loses gps fix sometimes.

With no internet connection neither GPS or Always on Display (I barely use it for a total of 80 minutes in my 9 hours work shift) it goes down to 60%. Do you think that is fine? Good points on the tech. The Exynos 9820 gets Geekbench single-core score higher than SD855, but lower than Apple A12. Not bad, would be interested to see how it stacks up with a full set of benchmarks. Just noticed this A7 has the same GPU as an $88 phone I got with Helio P23 chipset, which benches 92k in Antutu. Btw for the antutu score, I forgot that I`m constantly on power saving mode: MID so that makes my score not really reliable. I apologies for that. But I have already uninstalled the test and i don`t plan to install it again. I saw that the average score is over 122 000 so the power saving mode sure does make something to the phone to make it drop with 20 000, not that these numbers make any sense for me.

I have said it many pages ago, this phone needs heavy optimization to get more from the precious battery life. This is my worst SoT for now, just little over 5 hours in span of almost 3 days. I guess voice calling (40 min.) and viber calls(over 1 hour) really suck battery juice. If I don`t make over 25 minutes mobile calls on one charge the phone lasts over 3 days with over 7 hours SoT easy. I`m using 2 sim-cards, one of which is for 4G net and it`s always on. I rarely use wifi as my internet package is 20GB.

I have used the J6+ and A7 (2018) before. The processor for J6+ is Snapdragon 425 1.4GHz quad core. Do you know this processor is from which year? The Exynos 7885 in A7 (2018) is using an outdated GPU from June 2016 and it is an entry level GPU. You can go to ask Google if you do not believe. Maybe you will say that you don't play games on the phone but as I know both CPU and GPU have to work together in order to get the smoother user experience. Start from this year SAMSUNG is going to use the outdated IPS display in most of their M-series and A-series instead of the Super AMOLED.

Look at page 3, or here Or if you like tldr; - the noise is probably from the gyro-optical mechanism. Still in the thread from the link there are one man saying that he have strange rattling noise even when the volume is high, but none of us have that. Previously I was using SAMSUNG low end and some midrange phones without screen protector because that time SAMSUNG did not give free screen protector and I needed to pay extra for it. From 8GB ROM + 1GB RAM, 16GB ROM + 1.5GB RAM until 64GB ROM + 4GB RAM, but SAMSUNG still give a Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 quad core processor, 6 inch HD+ display and a small 3,300mAh battery in the phone and sell it with 250 Dollar. With a cheaper price of USD225, HUAWEI already give an octa core processor, 6.5 inch FHD+ display and 4,000mAh battery to the phone. That is why I make the decision to buy HUAWEI instead of SAMSUNG.

That is the way it has always been, isn`t it. :D I bought mine because I wanted phone with gorilla glass under 300 US $ and it had to be better than my old HTC One E9plus . I have very problematic skin on my hands, it`s extremely dry to the point my fingers can`t be detected by phones with screen protectors even at maximum sensitivity. Doesn`t matter how quality the protectors are. Gorilla glass is my only way to fight this. I have already wrote about why I don`t like chinese brands. So this model was my only available choice at that time. So despite always using HTC phones I bought this A7 with mixed feelings. Yeah, the camera is bad but still bearable. When I was on hunt for reviews there was one with full sized uncompressed originals making comparisons between the picture quality from Mate 20 lite camera and A7. I was in awe how bad was A7, especially at night shots. The difference is so great that at first I actually was convinced that the pictures form A7 were faked. They wasn`t... But yeah, if you look at them on the phone they look nice enough with good color reproduction (for the most time). On my PC screen they also looks good if I don`t scale them over 1920x pixels. At 100% view... it`s a sh*t show. So buyers be aware, if you want really good camera, if your work require good photographs at 100% resolution don`t buy A7. I really mean it. For more info and pictures you can read here there I have posted link to my google drive folder with many pictures directly from my phone. Tomorrow I`ll upload about 100 new photos for better view at the camera quality. You wander why I didn`t mention the video capabilities? Nothing special there. Crazy good battery life, perfect phone calls voice quality, awesome screen working perfectly with my bad skin, it rings loud enough to be heard from two closed rooms away, fast opening and switching apps, no lags. There is no heating problems, works normally in humid (65%) subzero temperatures (-8*Celsius) and so on. Overall I`m happy with it. :)

There is no quick charge. I have read few comments from people in other forums and such stating that their phones can actually charge faster with charger supporting 2A@5V. So I tried. Yes, you are right. That is also what I meant. I am using HUAWEI Y9 (2019) from Christmas last year. The price is USD225 in Malaysia. I also do not play any games on the phone, just use for internet surfing and watching drama only. The phone is using Kirin 710 chip with AI functions. It is 12nm SoC. When compare with A7 (2018) and J6+, it is smoother when using Chrome and battery consumption is 5 to 9% less than the two SAMSUNG models. Even open the daily use apps also faster than SAMSUNG.

Yes. I was on hunt for app promotions and I was able to get it for under 1$ (12.24.2018) It`s amazing launcher and it doesn`t drain the battery like the build in one. After spending two days to setup it properly to my taste now I`m really happy how it looks and works. The gestures also offer really convenient settings. I love how easy is to lock the phone with only tapping twice on the desktop. I was happy with my old Next Launcher 3D, but Nova is better and support my widgets (clock+battery) properly. And if you wonder why my theme is black - I`m using this one it`s really nice for the amoled screen.

I would not be really surprised if this is happening just because my country is mostly controlled by the mafia and all phone carriers are working in cartel. I mean, if you run business and you can do shady deals with problem merchandise without any real consequences... Dude... Aren't we discussing this very thing in the last few posts... Yes, there is a noise, rattle or whatever word you can use to describe it. It is probably the lens gyro system. I missed the time to edit my previous post so I`ll write it in this one. There is a noise/rattle/chattering if you knock the phone and it can be heard from within the cameras zone and I think I know why. As I`m subscribed to jerryrigeverything on youtube I have seen many teardowns of phones which have gyro optical stabilization on their cameras. He usually give them a poke or two with his pincers to show how they move. Now, what would happen if the gyro components are not tight enough. It will clatter/rattle, probably. There comes the bit from my previous post: "Bear in mind that although the cameras are using electronic auto-focus for photographs we have gyro optical stabilization when video is recorded." The sound can be heard if you switch from one to another camera too. So in conclusion I think that the noise is coming from the gyro mechanism. I`m very curious for the opinions of the people who bought A9 2018, I`m almost sure that they can hear that too because Samsung probably have used the same basic mechanism inside. May be I should write to samsung support for this. But I`m not really sure that they will give me any details.

I said that I just guess the little rattle is after effect from cutting cost, I have not done tear down to analyze the parts. Bear in mind that although the cameras are using electronic auto-focus for photographs we have gyro optical stabilization when video is recorded. As for the chinese brands like Huawei, Xiaomi, Meizu and etc I have seen enough to chose to avoid them at all costs. For example in my country there is mass problems with the screens of every current Huawei model. They are developing big yellow spots from the glue between the screen and the glass because of the heat from working. From the bits of info from everywhere I gathered that the screens were not to be used at all, but Huawei still chose to put them in. Defective LG screens that should be scrapped find they way into their production "by chance", yeah total bs. We can also talk about the integrated spyware into Xiaomi phones... And so on an on with the chinese brands. And yes, they put good combinations of parts for so much less money. In my country we have a saying "There is no such thing as free lunch."... And before someone slap me with "you are samsung fanboy" - I`m not. All my phones until now were from HTC. (HTC Explorer A310e, HTC 601, HTC One E9plus) This is my first samsung phone and I`m pleased with it. The only thing that is bad is the camera, but it still covers my bare minimum requirements.

I also can hear the noise. If I put the phone little bit harder on a table for example I can hear little rattle. You can hear it at any time with only knocking near the cameras. I guess the engineers have cut some costs of the materials so the mechanism is loose enough to be heard when moving. I don`t think that is something to be worried for. I managed to drop my phone from over 1.5 meters height onto ceramic tiles. It was brutal impact but my hardened case saved the phone. It`s the one in the middle .Later I bought the left one for max gripe because the middle one was a bit slippery. My thought was that even after that hard hit I don`t have problems with the camera mechanism, nor it makes louder sounds when working. I think that it is build well enough. TLDR; You can just ignore it. ;)

I comment here cause I'm using this phone for over a month now unlike you who doesn't even own the phone yet post negative comments about the same. As far as the "fan" thing is concerned I've used lot of Xperia phones in the past and loved using them, got the A7 as my last phone XZ died so I'm not a fan of any brand or something. Only 4 to 5 hours youtube? What? Dude, if I push my phone to the limit with watching youtube in one go from 100% charged to 0% battery I get 8 hours of playback at 50% brightness. This is on 4G (I have 20gigs/month net) And that was before I started doing optimizations... 5 hours sounds like a joke for me, honestly.

Yes, I have done many optimizations alongside using Package Disabler Pro to disable all the fudge. It took me over one month to find good info for about every single system app and service and try to disable one by one to the point of still fully working OS without the crap battery draining stuff. I have found good amoled frendly black theme making everything black, including all notifications in the drop-down menu. As I have read many threads about amoled burn-in from static objects, and searched really hard and found an app called Immersive. After some fiddling with adb shell to grant it permissions I was able to auto-hide the status bar. It`s still there but it shows of only if I pull from the top.I have also hide the navbar permanently, so I got another large screen estate boost. In this way I got additional screen space for more important stuff. For launcher I use Nova Launcher (I got it on promo for 1$), which have amazing set of settings. I can write many more info about optimizations, but I don`t think here is the ideal place for that. I try to stay active in the XDA forum, you can find all my posts from here

I recently update my A7 2018 no restart issue camera still perfectly fine and I notice they add the " SUPER SLOW MOTION " video recording at first not updating the phone only got " Slow motion " then after I update it came out with the " Super slow-motion " battery still last 4 to 5hrs YouTube / play Mobile legend / and the charging time its only 1 and 45 to 30 mins I think ?? ( but not sure ) much better to use dark theme on the phone to save battery. or use nova luncher

Can you make few photographs and upload them somewhere with full size, I want to make a comparison. I still don`t want to make the update as there are people who did it and reported for lowering SoT time with at least 1 hour and half and I definitely want to keep mine at max. My battery last for average 3 days with 7 hours and 30 minutes SoT. Also I have read that for some people after that update their phones started to restart on random intervals which is a deal-breaker for me. Which is why I have disabled OTA updates for now.

I feel you should go for the A7 since the camera quality means everything to you. But I just realized it doesn't support Glo 4G network because it doesn't have band 28. And that means alot to me but if it doesn't mean anything to you, then go for the A7.

Great phone has a good screen and is very responsive. The camera is very good and audio sounds good as well. The only thing is that I can't find a case or screen protector for it yet. I live in the UK and have looked in many phone shops and also online. I assume this is because it was only released recently and wasn't talked about much before Samsung put it out so no one really realised it was there.

It's okay phone. Great performance for this low price. I cheked the Slow Motion and it can Film at 116.75fps @720p The super slow motion i don't know. The pictures are great. Compared to My old J5 2016 13mp, it is twice better in detail. So 24mp is nice.

Go to the detailed settings, it is not a problem, there is a setting for time. You would have set a specific time for DND. Just check it once, it may have got by mistake or by default.

Very strange behavior. Mine is working normally and I currently have about 160 apps installed. I have 0 situations with apps opening themselves like this. Recently I have happened to read a thread in one forum about screen protectors and some people were talking about similar problems as yours. It was caused by bad placement of the protector letting air under it which in moist environment would act as multiple touches and therefore with only one touch will register so much that would lead to uncontrollable starting of apps and settings.

I don't play games on my A7, just use it for social networking sites and camera mainly along with music and the battery easily lasts for over a day with adaptive brightness on. At night it drops by 2-3% till morning which is really great.

Can't comment on the A8 as I haven't used it but as far as the A7 is concerned I'm using it since 3 weeks now and haven't faced any single issues yet. The battery easily lasts for over a day with moderate usage although it takes time to charge but that is not at all a concern. The triple camera takes lovely photos even in low light and is very reliable, call quality is excellent and web browsing is really fast. I love watching movies on my A7 as it has massive super amoled screen. All in all it's the beat mid range phone I've used so far.

According to notebookcheck.net, Exynos 7885 which is using in A7 (2018) was released in Jan 2018. It is an upper mid-range SoC. But why SAMSUNG put a Mali-G71 MP2, an entry level GPU which was released in June 2016, that was two and half years age outdated GPU to this SoC? Why SAMSUNG do not put a latest mid-range GPU which release this year to this SoC? Think twice before you go to buy a SAMSUNG Galaxy phone start from now.

Both phones are using a Kirin 710 (12nm) compare with the Exynos 7885 (14nm) in A7 (2018) with cheaper selling price in most countries around the world. Furthermore the GPU for Kirin 710 : Mali-G51 MP4 was released on July 2018 and is a mid range GPU. But the GPU for Exynos : Mali-G71 was released on June 2016 and it just an entry level GPU only.

Check if your wifi calling and volte/voip is on, same thing happened to me until i realized it was using my mobile network n wifi to help with calls, reception is excellent without it so

im a Samsung fan ever since but I swap my a7 to v11 because of the camera since the triple cam of a7 is crap even my s6 cam is better than the triple cam of a7. using the v11 for almost 2months now and everything is fine and the camera is great. love the fast charging not unlike on a7 2hrs and 30mins to fully charge the phone

much better go for the Samsung phone there is an error on v11i and v11 regarding to the multi touch while playing trapdrumpads24 v11i and v11 is not responding using 5fingers on the screen at the same time unlike A7 2018 it can sense your 10fingers.
