i have my VK for about a yer now and i love it but it has been giving me trouble since lately, well the sound on my phone has gone and i have to put my phone on vibrate in order to receieve any calls, and i cant listen to the music, ringtones nothing, however i really love the phone though, also since lately when ever someone calls me i can hear them but they can hear me, so if anyone knows whats wrong please email me.

I have had my VK200 for almost a year now and by the 3rd month the charger went. I understand the phone in totality but it should have had infered or bluetooth, it is just there, i like the fact that it can hold alot of messages, and sent calls in the call listing. But now that it is almost a year old the battery needs charging everyday, silly but maybe it has done it's time.

ok everyone who wants to know how to put music on your phone here it is ive got the vk200 and it was driving me crazy trying to put music on it ive got an 128 mb memory card in the side of it where it says t flash if youve got one in there then you can do this first go in to settings and press on pc connection then you have three options PC SYNC,usb mass storage and t flash card make sure it is on t-flash card,that is on your memory card and on the computer it is called removable disc that is where you are going to store your songs,plug your usb lead into the computer and put the end bit with the arrow on it in the right hand side of your phone which has a picture of headphones on it.then it will say you have found a new device close that and dont install the program if it comes up and close everything that comes up,then go to your folder with mp3s in make sure it is not windows media audio,make sure your phone says connecting then just leave it,right click on your song press send to,then put removable disc and it has moved to your phone when you have all the songs you need unplug your phone then it will reset{turn off then back on}. when it comes on go in to gallery and go down and press t flash manager your songs are in there,now go into your mp3 player and press edit playlist then tick all the songs you want to play on there press player and you will be able to play your songs on there i hope this helped you and good luck angel

i think that the vk 200 is a fraud the reason being is that i brought the phone for �40 quid because it said mp3 / diigtal camera and looks like the sliver i finally downloaded some cool mp3s and moving wall papers to my supprise when u try to save the mp3 as a ringtone the phonew gones on silent and pics never save to my back wall the fone ia fraud and rubbish jay

i put my music on my vk200 a bit differently to angel. u still need to make sure your flash card is checked in the pc connections under settings. plug in your cable which connects your phone and your computer. it should say found device and your computer might ask you to restart if it does your phone will need to. when thats done go into windows media player along the top it says sync click that,you should have a phone picture to the right and it says connect a device.unplug ur cable and plug in again(your fone might switch off).after your phone should say connecting,that means its ready.on your computer screen it should ask you to name a device or something that means your fone,so name it fone so you know its worked(your fone might switch off again).the phone picture in the right then should say wavecom and on the left an extra heading should appear with the name you typed in (fone). and you should be ready to go.its all a case of unplugging the cable and plugging it back in and switching on your fone a few times. im not an expert but am willing to give all the help i can if anyone wants to email me [email protected]

I got one of these phones 2 months ago and it is faulty already.The camera is very poor quality. i tries to return it to the store but they said all they could do was call vk and see whta they could do. All they said was to post it to them-which i had to pay for but i think the company should pay if the sell me a faulty phone. the vk200 phone is rubbish and i would not advise any to get one.

Got this VK200 in pink for my daughter a while back. Works great as an MP3 player and no probs uploading MP3's to it. The problem I've got is it's supposed to support Java games according to the reseller, but yet it doesn't recognise JAR files uploaded from the PC. Any suggestions anyone??

Hey i hav just had this phone for 2months now and its fantastic. The only problem is the manual is not clear on downloading music, pic etc. Each time i want to connect the pc and phone,, it says still connecting. Have had phone for 6 months with no problems until today - I have had my message alert set to vibrate & ring but for some reason I it won't ring anymore -it just vibrates. to put music on your phone. - go on menu on phone and click on settings - then go down to pc connection and make sure that t-flash card is selected - connect the USB into the fone (where the charger goes into) then connect the other e end of the USB cable into the computer - then put your phone to the side for a moment ( it will say 'connecting on your phone but do not do anything) - if anything comes up on your computer screen get rid of it - now on your computer screen click on start - then click on computer - then when youve done that, a box will come up with icons on it. have a look at the bottom section and you should see an icon saying 'removable disk', a letter will be at the end of the icon name. mine was removable disk E. - do not click on the removable disk icon - then make sure the song that you want to put on your fone is mp3 not WMA. - when you have chosen your song drag it drop it on the icon 'removable disk' (in the computer box you clicked on earlier) - make sure you drag and drop one song at a time - a box may come up which says 'copying' and green squares which means transferring. this means that the song is copying to your fone - then just wait - leave your phone a few minutes nw, even if it still says 'connecting' on your phone screen - after a few minutes unplug the USB from your phone then your fone may say reset and turn itself off then back on again - then go on you phone menu click on music then edit playlist then you will see your song its ever so simple xx

If you're having trouble copying mp3's across here's a quick troubleshoot 1. Music files must be MP3 FORMAT (ie not wma, the standard format for windows media player files) change the format by opening media player, going to tools, options, copy music/rip music, then change the format to mp3. If you don't have this option, then download the latest windows media player. Also check the music is not copy protected. 2. Sometimes the VK software interferes with windows XP, as the CD also contains an update for windows 98. Uninstall the software and the phone will connect to XP without the disc being installed. 3. Make sure the phone is in T-flash mode. Go to camera, settings, memory use, t-flash card. Press the centre button and this will be activated. 4. Try the phone in a different USB port, this will re-install the drivers. 5. If still no joy, download the latest software from the VK website. 6. If STILL no joy, factory reset the phone: menu, settings, phone settings, factory reset, password 0000 (unless you've changed it) 7. If all this fails, your phone may be faulty (or your computer is rubbish)... VK have actially gone bust a company called Intec handles UK faulty handsets so call them on 0800 731 8148 (UK) If you're wondering how I know so much about them... I work for a technical support company supporting them. Fun.

Forgot to mention, that when you've successfully copied your MP3 files to your T-Flash card, you can find them in the main menu, then "Gallery", then "T-Flash Manager". If they have a question mark (not a musical note) displayed next to it, it's been copied in the wrong music format. Download an MP3 converter, run the track through it, and try again... Hope this helps :-)

I'm a mobile phone advisor, and there are a couple of problems that regularly appear with this handset... 1) Problems transferring the MP3s to the memory card. The solution is first to unplug the handset. Then, enter the main menu, select "Settings", "PC connection", then "T-Flash Card". Then reboot your PC, and once it has restarted, plug in the handset again, and it should recognise it as a removable disk, onto which you can drag and drop your MP3s. Another point to note is that this is a pure MP3 player, and will not accept WMAs, or other audio formats. So if it's in WMA, convert it first. You do not need to install the disk of software to transfer MP3s. 2) Keypad lock - Enter the main menu, "Settings", "Phone Settings" and then "Auto Key Lock". Switching this to "off" will stop the keypad from automatically locking, which soon becomes irritating. My advice would be, that if you like this handset, save up and buy the L6, saves you a lot of hassle in the long term...

I got most of my songs from CDs and some from the woolworths website. Right-click on the song once it is in 'my music' and go to properties and it should say something like mp3 audio file.

On ur fone go to gallery, t-flash manager, select a song, click on option, then copy or move to phone. Now go back to gallery, go on music and it should be on there go to options and there you can select to put it as ringtone

Ok, erm try searching for the removable device in 'my computer' or something. If the PC didnt make a noise when you plugged the phone in and didnt come up with a message it may still of recognised it. Bet your getting a little bit annoyed!!

When your computer has recognised your removable device, right-click on the removable device window and you should get a small window which has a 'send to' instruction. Hover over the 'send-to' and then click desktop to create a short-cut. Now with the phone set up and plugged in, go to 'my computer' then 'my music' where you should of put some music in there. Have that screen up, move it to one side and hold down on a track and drag it into the short cut. Or, try right-clicking the song and select copy, then right-click on paste on your short-cut. Hope this makes sense!!!

To find out if your songs are mp3 songs, write click on them in 'My Music' which is is 'My Computer'. Go to properties and it should say something like mp3 audio file

My friend has the motorola design and personally i think my phone ( this vk200) is better. The colour screen is nicer, it has mp3, song quality is good, camera is about the same and it's smaller and more stylish!!!!!!!

Hello everyone!! To put mp3s on your phone follow these steps: 1. Go to 'settings', then 'PC connection', select 'T-flash card' (which by the way is already in the side of your phone so you dont need to buy one!!!!!) 3. Install the little cd-rom which came with your phone 2. Now go back to your main screen on your phone. Plug your USB into your PC and hopefully your phone will say 'connecting' and your computer will recognise the phone. If it does not recognise the phone, restart your computer and try again - this normally works. If this still doesnt work ( at this point i was punching my phone and computer and self...) leave your phone plugged in to USB and take battery out while it is still on. Wait a few seconds, put battery back in and try again! 3. Hopefully now your PC has recognised the device ( mine was recognised as mass storage device drive F, this will be different for everyone) , if no message comes up it probably means it is recognised. 4. Now, put some songs onto 'my computer', 'my music'. (phone does not have to be plugged in to do this) 5. When you have done this, plug phone back into USB, and create a shortcut for the device if one did not come up automatically. Find 'my music' ( in 'my computer') and select a song. Right click on it and make sure on 'properties' it says 'mp3 audio file'. Now copy and paste this into the shortcut for your device or drag and drop it in. I hope this has helped!! xxxxxxxx

how does this phone work seriously. When i phone someone i can hear them talk but they can't hear me. I've tested it and the receiver can't here a thing. does this have anything to do with voice clarity and if so how do you turn it off. Nothing seems to work, tried restoring factory settings but to no avail.

Well, the phone is very nice indeed...But I have to say that the phone has a few issues...I bought mine two weeks ago and had to bring it back to the store, because I cant access my sms income. Every time I tried to read my sms I got a black screen for a few secendo and a message saying that I only have emergency call available. Then the phone seems normal, but the problem insists. They have given me a new phone, first and second time, which means that this is my 3rd. Today I�m going to the store to get my money back...Hopefuly you�ve more luck then I had.

You can download music files onto the phone from your PC, but remember they have to be *.mp3 files. *.wma will not work. Under PC Connection select T-Flash. Connect your phone to PC and the USB connection will hopefully be recognised. It doesn't always work first time so take cable out. Let phone re-set and connect again. UK phone has 120mb of internal T-Flash memory. Once connected, the phone shows up as a new drive so just copy/drag you *.mp3 files to the new drive. You can then play the music from the phones internal mp3 player. It's a pity the manufacturers instructions doesn't cover this.

Good Phone, However what is really annoying is that you need to also buy a T Flash card (another �25) to store your MP3s on. VK is very naughty in not mentioning that in ANY of its literature.

UK customers, you've already got 128MB T-flash inserted in sales package. Not for the other countries. So set PC connection menu as T-Flash mode and connect VK200 to PC to use it like USB Memory stick!!! Copy and paste and drag and drop to trasfer any data.

VK200 has Micro-SD(T-flash) slot. You can use 1GB T-flash. But only 8MB internal memory and 4MB for user section FYI. Can be used as a USB stick if you set PC Connection menu as USB mode or T-flash mode.

Good for you knowing how to transfer music to the phone the only thing is VK themselves say this is not something you can do? I am not speaking as a VK customer but on behalf of a company that are having a few queries regardnig this. Why let what people say about the phone bother if your happy then that should be enough? I do think that the rating this phone has been given is far too high considerng it matches the likes of Nokia n70 etc but i am sure it os good for th price however just remember the other handsets that they brougt out and all the problems they have had.

You can download mp3's. Just plug it in and go to 'my computer'. It comes up as a drive (K on mine) and then you can just drag and drop your music into it. You have to set it up first though. Do this: Menu 6 5 then scroll down to 't flash' and click OK. It will show as 'connecting' but will appear as a drive on 'my computer'. Then follow instructions above. Stoop

sorry, but your wrong. you can download music onto the mp3. there is no need for the disc included just the wires. if you plug everything in then go onto My Computer then it will be there under Removable Storage D. i know as i own a VK200 which i only got on sunday

Actually Ahmad Faris, if you look into the specs, this phone will sit squarely between the L6 and the L7 in terms of spec, just without bluetooth. The large memory (you get similar out of the box with the L7s bundled t-flash card) and an undoubtadley lower price than the L6 will make this a strong budget phone, ideal for prepay. Not happy with the screen on this one though 128x128 cstn. It's a little lacking really.
