Mine was dropped abt 1.5 ft. Screen developed a horizontal line! Never went away. I actually got frustrated by its falling apart and extremely poor battery life and snapped it in two with my bare hands.

I'm having problem with my VK2000 i've got two of them. The first one i bought last feb is okay fro two weeks then it suddenly doesnt want to charge. i though maybe it has a battery problem to brough it to the shop and they gave me a new one. But then again now it won't charge again. The guy told me that he's not going to replace my battery anymore but it only what 5months and i can't use the phone anymore. Whew! too much hassle.

I know exactly why your mobile don�t start charging, my Vk 2000 just flash blue 1 second then nothing happend, but i took out the battery tooked another battery 9 volt battery fully charged, and took the + pool too the plus pool on vk battery and the same with - pool, for about 10-15 sec and then the telofone charge himself again :D

Super light, slim & compact. Very basic phone but it works well. I worried about the reception and voice quality but it is great for such a small phone. Battery life is really good on standby, but with talk time, you'll need to keep a charger relatively handy. If you want all the bling features look at some of the other VK models.

when the phone is charged it will make a noise and flash the screen to let you know.. this is really annoying and means you cant have the phone plugged in next to you at night when you sleep because every so often itll make a noise and wake you up. all other phones allow you to just leave it on charge without constantly beeping.

i love my phone sooo much its pink and its sooo small and cute it dosent have bluetooth but it has a USB port to get things from the computer to your phone,and from your phone to your computer.Ive got about 22 full length songs on the mp3 and have alot of images.i think the phone is really great at such a gooood price.if your thinking about buying one buy it!

The phone does not MELT for Goodness sake people! C'mon when used throughout the whole day it might heat up a bit after a half hour. Mine lasts a whole day with regular conversations...Its small,sexy and sleek but it DOESNT MELT!

watch out guys. this phone is just meant to talk for lesser period as it get's hot during extended conversation. i sold this phone to an acquaintance who was crazy about it. i think i made a wise decision by selling it. after a week he came and told me that after he talked for about 30 min his phone was so hot and when cut the phone he saw the sticker OK from the center button had come off and sticking to his cheek. he had to stick it back. also he has put a sticker on the back of this mobile and it is sort of melting due to the heat this model generates. i think VK need to really work out on their quality to stay in the market as they are already close to bankruptcy and motorola is negotiating to take over. this a piece of an information i got.

Small phone for the spy in you.....but!!! Poor voice clarity and volume. Hard to hear w/ road noise in car. Having minimal features was no biggie for me but reception quality was not good. You can pick one up for under 100 on ebay now, but only do so as a back up phone for the car maybe. Not and everyday phone for anyone.

This phone is good for what it is supposed to do. It�s a great pocket phone for the one who uses for a limited purpose. I pity for those who are writing negative comments and comparing this model to bigger models. I am using one for quite sometime as my second phone and let me tell you all, it's really a great phone. Because it's Korean and not Chinese its build quality is as good as Samsung phone but with more better features than Samsung. Thank god it has ringer profile settings almost like Nokia. Samsung's features are pathetic. Anyone one can confidently pick up this phone but the problem is that this company is not still being represented officially in many countries. So warranty and service is at stake. Anyway it doesn�t cost a tank, why bother.

I am using the VK 2000 cell phone, i think the phone is an excellent phone base on its price. The phone works very well with my rogers sim card. One of the problem is the battery life is kind of short, need to charge the battery every two days.

Turn off and on and it is still the same; after two or three minutes it lists as "no service"... help anyone? VK 2000 Best phone ever! Just got the phone few days ago, and it's the best cell phone I have so far (for the money). Buy with confidence and trust me the phone work as it's design too.After play with the menu, just adjust the GSM connection and go..Phone is on for 2 days now, make regular calls and still have like half battery left. There are comments that the phone is not good battery life not good bla bla bla negative comments, but my phone works perfect soo far, but this is just my phone meaby... so anyway it could depend were you buy the phone from I think.If you have any questions email me. I bought one when I was at the FIFa world cup. My t-mobile i-mate sp3i broke down - long story and I ended up buying this for 99Euros. so far I like this phone. I do not care for the camera functions in the current phones - the resolution makes them crappy for now.The only thing I miss is a bluetooth function. If that was included I would say this is a complete enough phone for the purposes I would want a cell phone for.

obviously, this company may have been out of business. these tiny little gadgets are not to everyone's likings. these phones are something teeny weeny things and mostly youngsters will like these as well as old people who don't receive much calls a day and it's lighter for them to carry. for business purpose it's out of question. the strong contender is NOKIA which dominates market share by 70%. but anyone considering these little gadgets it should be only for their second phone.

I bought VK2000 yesterday which is only model in Thailand. I do not feel the negative comments in this column. Certainly, the battery life is too short, but most people charge other mobiles everyday. So that this weakness would not be so serious. The point I do not like is that selecting T9 mode is very far way, it takes several presses. Though I have a Sony Ericsson Z520i, but it is a little bit heavy for me, so I am going to change this to VK2000 as a main my mobile.

here i go...........juss picked up VK2000 which is know as i-mobile in Thailand after a long wait. it costed me Bhat.3900/- approx US$ 100/-. i wasn't confident 'bout it's performance till i came back to my country and checked it at my home in a area what i call a bermuda triangle. most phones don't get signall in that area, but this little bit of phone worked flawlessly. it's performance is satisfactory. signal strength is quite strong. one shouldn't expect a great battery life from this little gadget. it's battery is small and amphere rating is low so if you use the phone to make about 10-20 calls each 3-5 minutes everyday then you need to charge this phone everyday. the build quality is solid. regarding getting hot is accetable if you speak for a lesser period and not lengthy conversations. however i rate this phone as one of the mini maravel gadgets of the year. i can only recommend to have this phone as your second phone if you have another personal number and also if you are going on a private tour it's presence in your pocket makes it light and un-noticable. I dont feel this phone is right for business purpose. i use Nokia for my business and VK for my evening out. if someone can wait for a while more better phones with better features are on the way from VK.

thanks pol for the info i could fix the ring problem but now i got another issue the phone cant read the sim card i live in argentina and i never had any problem with this in the past but now i cant to use the phone because is not reading the sim card. to fix the ring tone issue there are in the phone settings several points in this case the FACTORY SET i press that and automatically the ring sound was working fine but i think that while i press that the setting of my phone kind off mess up so i cant get no signal or make calls please i would like to know how to fix this problem thanks yall...

Ordered phone from portugal. I got a second battery because of what I read. No need for it yet. The battery lasted fine with approx 40 min of talk, 6-7 texts and alot of playing around to get my settings correct. The speaker is not as loud as my MOTO L6 was. Neither is the ear mic. Ear mic does have some clarity issues. Not L6/Razr quality. Screen picture is brilliant. Key was an issue w/some. No need for it as keys are stiff. Software is similiar to MOTOROLA, as is design. T9 is very good on txts.

I've had my VK 2000 for around a week now. I bought it despite some of the views expressed on this site. I feel that some of the ill articulated views misrepresent the phones performance. 1. Yes the battery time is low, but what do you expect from the one of the smallest phones in the world. Mine will readily last 2 days with moderate use (e.g. 40 minutes call time + 20 texts). You can get high capacity batteries of eBay for less than �10 which would more than double this. I don't understand the hardship with plugging it in over night. How often are you away from a room with a power socket? 2. The microphone isn't great, there is a quiet background 'fuzz', but it certainly doesn't effect the audibility/clarity of the voice. 3. Ring tones aren't great; I just use the simple ring which is fine, if a little high pitched. 4. There is no problem with heat dissipation on this phone. 5. As stated by many other people on this site, the phone looks great and is so thin and light you really don't notice it. So if you want a jack-of-a-trades-master-of-none gadget in your pocket don't get this phone. If you want a tiny but fully functional attractive phone, which isn't cluttered with features you never use, I highly recommend it.

this phone is now on sale in thailand.in bangkok u can buy it in mbk.they sell it under the name of i-mobile vk2000.i-mobile is a thai phone company.so i think,they have a contract with vk to import and sell there phones in thailand.in mbk u have to pay 4800 bath,about 120 usd.hope that helps.

just goat my vk2000 , I like the weight of the phone , I have it in my shirt pocket and I hardly know its there . its thin so thats another nice point, it has a pritty solid feel to it , some people think because its so thin, but I dont think its that slim ,that it will snap in half easily , not true it feels fairly sturdy. but I wish it was a bit lighter and slimmer , then I wouldnt no it was in my pocket at all ,and had bluetooth,mp3 player etc,thats prolly why they can make it lighter than most phones couse it doesnt have these things. would be nice better battery life, although I could prolly get better battery life if I shortend the back light to 10 sec , I have mine set to 1 min. mine is a quadband 850/1900 or 900/1800, I dont know if all vk2000 are quadband, some web sites and blogs say its a triband sometimes even dualband,some quad, mine is a quadband, although the box it came in says triband on it. how you change from 850/1900 or 900/1800 is easy , at first I had trouble thinking that the phone didnt work because i live in the US which is band 850/1900 , the phone arrived in band mode 900/1800 which will not work in the US . so you have to manualy change it, which took me some time to figure out , it would be nice if it changed automaticly but it doesnt, here is how you change it if you get one and it says no service, press menu the top left button , press 3,press 2, press 6 , and select band 850/1900mhz 0r 900/1800mhz.

Terrible phone. Had it for one week and that was one week too long. First the problems with this phone, in no particulaar order: 1) Battery sucks - lucky to get through two five minute calls before it wants recharging (I'm not exagerating here) 2) If you hold the phone to your ear for more than three mins, the screen starts to burn your ear 3) The ringtones are terrible. They're not just crappy but are high pitched and annoying. I had to set it to vibrate before I through it against the wall in frustration. 4) The microphone is terrible. The people on the other line constantly ask you to speak up, or complain that they can't hear you properly. 5) There is no learning function for sms's. So every time you use a word or name that is not recognised by the phone, you have to retype it. 6) It doesn't save draft sms's. If you receive a call during a text, it deletes what you'd already started. And the postive: 1) Looks cool 2) Small size I won't go into the rest of the negatives, such as lack of functionality and other nuisances, as this phone is not meant to a multi functioned phone. I can handle that, but if it's going to be a regular phone you should at least be able to have conversations on it without the battery dying or the other party not being able to hear you. I'm all for cool little gadgets that fit in your pocket. If you're after something to impress your friends with, get one. If you actually want a phone that you're going to use more than once a day, steer clear until VK releases the next generation.

Great phone. Cheap price. This is a quad band phone 850/900/1800/1900. Great sound, looks awesome. If all you need is a basic phone. This is it! Only one bad thing! You will need to carry a second battery or ur charger with you. Who needs a camera on their phone anyways? I spend the extra money and got a nice sony T7.

the useless battery is a MAJOR problem for me with this phone, i have been getting more and more irritated with having to plug it in every night, and finding its always flat just when i really need to make a call. about 3 times now it has beeped and turned itself off due to low battery in the middle of a call - one was a very important call too, and i wasn't able to call them back. these days ppl assume if your phone dies that you are anidiot for not keeping it charged (and usually they are right) but not with this phone. you WILL be charging this phone every day. kinda defeats the purpose of having a tiny phone, when you pretty much have to carry around the charger in your other pocket! one more thing.. since i got this phone EVERYONE always says something like "i'm sorry but this is a really bad line..." when talking to me - ie the microphone makes your voice sound soft and metallic (even when speaking loud and clear). i am starting to fall out of love with this phone and i'm sorry because i really like everything else about it - its a great little phone, really well designed. but honestly guys, the poor battery is almost reason enough not to buy one, not to mention the cheap little microphone. PS. some tips to conserve battery life (you will need to do this) 1. lose the animation on the background and use an image instead. 2. turn off the blinking status light. 3. set the screen timeout time to minimum (5secs) 4. dont play the game or use the stopwatch they will drain a full battery faster than you would ever believe.

Reading some of the views on here it is a shame that the majority of moans are based on all singing & dancing phones. The VK2000 is just a basic phone,with the added bonus of being a better design than most phones avaible on the market today. Like a lot of people,I just want a phone to make or receive calls on rare occasions and when not in use, to be able to tuck it away in a pocket and forget about it. That it the whole point of this phone. It is a phone, and if that all you want then you wont find better. If you want all the rubbish they put in phones nowdays to show off to your friends and then dont buy this phone, but dont complain when you have knowing its a phone and not a stupid media centre.

I like the slim and compact of the phone until now. But the phone has brought me some inconvenient: 1. The phone can �hang� once a while. Once it hangs, there will be no call can come in or dial out, although the screen menu and the button still working well. 2.The phone battery can only last for 30 minutes of talking time although the line signal is fine at my area. The standby period of the battery is only 1 day if I did not make or receive any call. 3. The texts screen once a while will be distorted when I am writing SMS of more than a page in the white screen.

I�ve just bought one of these off Ebay. It is indeed a nice-looking tiny phone. And most of the time it works well. BUT if you speak on it for any length of time (say more than 5 minutes) the speaker area of the phone, next to your ear, gets very hot. And I mean quite hot. It�s far too hot to be comfortable and you�ll find yourself swapping ears to try to get some relief from the heat. When I used it I couldn�t wait for the caller to get off the phone so I could cool my ears down - feels like they are being irradiated. If you buy this phone - use it for short calls, use the handsfree earpiece or send text messages. No Bluetooth No PC Sync No Mp3 Just a phone. Looks cool but runs hot. got one from an ebay store in portugal. cost me 167 euros and it rocks! this is the tiniest phone and actually is quite good as well. this is what i think.. if anyone cares.. what i love: size, shape, weight, build quality is surprisingly good. screen is clear, sharp, and reacts fast to keypress. not polyphonic so sound is loud and clear. no faceplate so no chance of dust etc behind screen. always good reception and earpiece is also surprisingly good and loud. T9 is excellent & puts words used most at the top. buttons precise and easy but firm so no need to use keylock. what i hate: cheap flappy creaky plastic battery cover that moves when you press keys. battery life is useless- approx 1.5 - 2hrs talktime, 2 - 3 days standby max. doesnt accept enough characters under email or street addresses in phonebook to actually put any in! cant choose a plain white background and all 4 standard pics are ugly (if choose a background animation it chews up batt like playing a game does). when screen times out it goes off not dull or screensaver like other phones i mean off like cant even see clock. sms message writing doesnt count down characters remaining just tells you at end that you have started 2nd sms message. cant add words to the t9 dictionary. calendar doesnt say mon,tue or m, t etc you just see a grid of numbers, but at least sat and sun are coloured. unlike nokia it doesnt remember partially written sms message so if you exit its gone. to release keyguard u need to enter password! lucky the keys are well designed so no need for keyguard anyway. very asian ringtones.. jingle bells, happy birthday etc, im not kidding! ok thats a lot of bad things but overall the phone is great and very easy to use with all the features you need and none you dont, nice clear userfriendly display too. and wow how tiny is this phone, cant even feel it in your pocket, great!

I just got 2 of them from Korea - 3G system, but I'm in Hungary now, so I can just play with it. The phone looks great, small like the old school credit card size calculators, the display is also sweet, the menu is easy to use. The bad is that the back covers locking system is already broken - my friend showed me how to take it of, and he handled it like he would the regular phones. If I can buy a spare, then no problem. Still, I don't know about battery life.

I have one. battery life, with usual day work, last 2 days long. probably 1 hour of conversation each day. Its not going to last all week long, but its ok. You should buy this phone if you like: - Nice looking small phones, - Nice software, with great interface, - all elementar phone needs Forget about: camara, games, connection (like IRDA or bluetooth)... Pure genious! I just can't believe they can make anything this small actually work. This light!!!! Nobel prize there... But I can't say I like it. I tend to lose eveything that small, never mind a card-shaped phone. And I guess it won't have the best features in the planet. But hey, that's not the point. Pretty much like the RAZR, its appeal is based on one thing only, DESIGN. RAZR is "weird", this one is tiny. Extremely small... Sorry, I can't help it, I'm too amazed.

this is what ALL phones should be like... a phone should be a phone, not a camera or an internet browser... it should do a few things and do them to perfection. I say replace the camera/browser/and all that other crap with a large screen, long battery life and make the damn thing, thin and light.

I had tested the phone. Basically this is a basic phone. But one good thing about this phone is really slim and light. If put inside pocket, you wouldn't feel anything. I like the phone cause of the slim feature.

48 Grams......wow 8.8 mm .......wow too Colour Screen.wow tooooo Very Nice and easy mobile, but i will not stop using my SE K700i for this phone... 2 more things, this phone would be better if it was a black and white screen as it would have make the battery last longer and maybe provide more options like infrared and also a memory capacity of some Megabytes(mb)would have been much appreciated for its users to store more ringtones for example, Anyway we can't expect all of those options in such a small phone...for the moment but very nice try VK...good luck for future models.
