if you didn't use the phone or charge it for more than 2 months, the battery will die and it need to be shocked but u need some1 to do it for you cause they need to open it and do something with the battery and then it will back to life.

I had same issue before. It was fixed at service center. They advised to charge every 2,3 weeks even if not used.

I have the 2100 and have had very good results from it. I have had it now three years with no problems, been very happy with it I would like to get a new one or newer model but have no idea where to get on as I am living now in Zimbabwe ( I got this one whilst in Turkey) They are a great idea pity so difficult to get.

It is a great unit! I got mine from RadioShack & in answer to the below post: It is a single unit so you only need to charge it thru one of its connection. the other port is mainly used for pluging an earphone and or for USB connectivity!

I have faced the same issue when I first bought the unit but the issue was completely solved after a software update that was performed by the dealer. I'm now using HS131. I have had the unit since March and I'm still very happy with it

I have had mine for some months now, it is great except that when I call someone they always complain that they can't hear me. This applies if someone else calls from my phone too. I don't know what to do to fix this. Any ideas?

I have had Wind DUO 2200 from October 2007 2 months after i received it wouldn't switch on. I contacted WND customer care number of times before i got a reply. they wouldn't send me out a replacement or except my phone back to get fixed after many months off emailing customer care they sent me a new battery for the phone. Problem now is they never sent me any instructions on how to fit the battery as its solid casing round the phone i have emailed number of times still awaiting a reply. Wouldn't buy one these mobiles again.

While replying sms, the phone behaves strangely (compared to other phones).. If you are very liberal with the use of the toogle, your sms reply will never be saved. I have post the question to the support team many times but they didnt seem to know what I was talking about. Another thing, with the two sims on the battery runs out very fast.

I succeeded in registering. They ask for a serial nr to register, and i took the serial of the phone, but i needed to fill in the nr of the scratch card.

Hi I have the phone 2200 now for a week and i like it a lot. There is however a problem connecting to the pc (no connection possible, reason unknown). I also see error 'battery voltage too high' when i connect to the pc (or the mobile charger). I tried to register myself, but got an error that my scratchcard has no correct number (?). I bought it in Dubai & using it in Australia. The DUO 2100 was faulty front day one. No reception etc. After contacting the warranty department & waiting 3 months i received an updated phone. They gave me the DUO 2200. One word for that phone . PERFECT. The other phone manufacturers take notice ! Thank you WND

To the below post, did you try the SIM working on the first side with the one on the 2nd, you might be having problem with your SIM. I have been using this unit for few months. When I first got it I used to face problems with my south African card however the issue was solved after I visited the local dealer who upgraded the software of my unit.

To the post below: skiman. I guess you did just nail the cons about the phone. Perfect post. However, it is just comes down to the choice of have two phone, or one with the cons you mentioned. So far for me, carrying one phone still overcomes all the cons:) But I must commend you on your polite post. Some people just come out there bashing phones and having no respect for anything.

I sold off my WND, i didnt mind the loss. Its a reasonably good DUAL SIM phone but the following were my issues: very very delicate - the charger pins are thin, hard to insert, opening the rubber covers everytime to u want to plug in,etc. you just cant do it with your eyes closed, you really need to concentrate and make sure u dont break anything. batt life - too short, but they made up by also supplying the mobile charger (good thinking) but still not convinient everytime user freindly - not really, its got good shortcuts and u can set the buttons to u r preference but i had a hard time to select MP3 tunes for all my callers, infact i didnt even manage to do it. i have to have diff tune for every caller, i have had that habbit for years coz i hate to look at the screen everytime to see the name when some one calls Speaker - mine was cracking when i put it at max, i never manged to get the speaker fon on while i was driving cudnt switch it on quick enough as compared to my sony and nokia buttons - most let down factor. i didnt like them at all. if u have fat fingers like mine, 90% chances are u will not be able to press the digit u want coz u will press the adjoining buttons as well Price - I thought its a fair price for the quality and classy design, but not really. Its not got EDGE, bluetooth is slow and still works on USB 1.1, not 2.0. Sync - this was the hardest thing i went through. anyway i had exchanged about 10 emails with WND support (i must say that their support is superb, prompt replies)until i got it right. this let me down though, not as swift easy as sony erric or nokia. cant sync direct with MS OUTLOOK, has its own software, though once you get used to its nice to use. you cant do all at one time i.e sync-ing, using it at a modem, and using it for file transfer. Once you plug it into the USB u have to choose between the three options. the phone quality is very good and classy with its accessories, but the above were let downs for me, so i just let it go.sold it for half the price and bought an e51, so i came back to square one (keeping 2 fons) anyway i am not saying that i hated the phone but it had a lot of practicality issues and i counldnt keep it even if i spent nearly 600USD on it. i had to let it go.

I bought a wnd2200 and it works fine: could finally sync the contacts. However, registering the phone did not work and no way to get help. The system would not recognize any of the info I inpu: IMEI, PIN, etc. Also the light not not come up when pressing a touch while the phone is licked. This makes it difficult to respond to a call when it is dark because the touches are not sensitive enough. But the BIGGEST problem I have is that i get an "invalid SIM card" message quite often on any (or even sometimes both) sides. I asked the network company to test my SIM cards and they work fine. Has someone experienced the same problem? Any idea on how to solve it? Too bad the help system of WND is so poor. Thanks. Andre.

I just bought this phone yesterday and have been exploring with it since then. Off the top this phone does what it is made to do perfectly. This is with respect to the dual sim. The dual face design is sublime and basically it is like 2 phones together but eliminates any possible conflict between the sims. The software is nice and they see to have pretty much put in mind all the little details, however the interface is a bit primitive and kind of childish. A couple of things that I noticed though were the keys are just tough to use, somemtimes I have to use my fingernail, but maybe I just need to get used to it. But the messaging is a bit difficult for me as I use SMS a lot and coming from using an I-mate SP3. Again maybe just need to get used to it. However there are a fe things I want to ask maybe someome can help me out. In the messages if you choose T9 ABC (uppercase) unlike the phones I used it does not switch to lower case after the first letter, and does not switch to uppercase after the period like the other phones do. Also, is there anyway to silence the ringer at all, you can make the message tone silent, but the ringer it is either volume 1 or vibration. If I am sleeping and it is on ringer 1 it still wakes me up Anyway I wil explore more and let you know. Ahmed

This phone is a real state of the art. For instance I was using it via my bluetooth car kit when my girlfriend picked up the handset and dialed her mom using the other side� and it was only after few minutes of conversation that we both realized that we were using the same handset �yet two different lines at the same time!! To Nikmidco, Thank you for your response, I have done that I select come port, then go to setting, it even shows that the phone is connected , I can upload songs pic etc to the phone but when I click on the sync button nothing happens so I have to upload my phone contacts manually, I even tried it with new software from their web site still didn't work.

to Z: i finally managed to sync. though i had to wait for a response from the company. FYI, once you plug in the USB, select COM PORT on the phone and then when you go to PC SUITE, go to SETTINGS and select the same com port you see as connected in your windows system devices. then you will see your phone as connected and you can read/write from the phone. However this is very premitive as compared to either a SONYERIC or NOKIA where you can sync direct from OUTLOOK from contacts to your diary.

Please tell me how I can select an MP3 tune from my phone which i have already saved to be used for a particular contact. Not the ring tones which are already preset, but the MP3 tunes that I have saved on the mem card.

To the below user: Did you try to contact truegsm, I have ordered a unit that was shipped the next day! To Ahsan: I have tried many dual Sim phones and I can tell you that's the most complete dual phone I've used. It can receive & send calls and sms at the same time. You can even talk to two people calling on different SIMs at the same time. The Samsung will require a restart every time you switch your primary Sim & only the SIM set as primary can make calls!

To nikmidco: I'm not sure we have the same box, however on mine I had two IMEI numbers and a serial number and if I remember well, I used the IMEI number instead of the serial number to register. To Mang Tomas: It's thanks to Samsung F300 that Dual faced phones are such a hit nowadays. To Mang Pedring: How do you know that the �Ultra Edition Dual SIM� will come soon, do you work for Samsung? I am having a serious problem registering my fon on the WND website. I put all the details, but there is no space on the form to put in the IMEI no. and i can't proceed because it keeps saying invalid IMEI no. I had also emailed WND support on Friday but no feedback yet. I cant seem to sync my fon using the PC SUITE,it cant see the fon at all. I can use all other features. When i connect to the USB i have to choose an option from the fon if u want to use flash drive, modem or web cam. If i cant sync my fon i am stuck as all my contacts are in my address book on my comp. PLEASE PLEASE HELP.

This is the only Dual SIM card handset that can be used to talk using the two SIM cards at the same time. It's a wonderful unit & still the smallest and the nicest looking on the market; however its high price makes it not really affordable for everybody, but if you have extra bucks to spare then I really recommend you to go for it!

Andyroxs: Unlike with the Multi SIM adaptors where you can only have one active SIM at a time, this WND phone will let you have both SIMs active at the same time. You can actually make/receive phone calls from two different SIM simultaneously. I like the design very much. I saw the unit last week in the Bologna, Italy Motorshow, it is extremely small good looking

I finally got my Wind D2200 2 days ago. If you buy it, here's what you will notice quickly: the quality of its construction, the very high res screen: 240x320 for a 1.8� are immense & the number of accessories included in the box. Some of the nice options: the way it handles 2 phone books/2 call histories (can be merged or separated). Vibration& onscreen notification on SIM1 screen when SIM1 is busy and SIM2 is ringing....

Excellent reception & impeccable Audio clarity(even better than my Nokia6300) Supplied PC Suite is not stable and will freeze when accessing MS outlook but the one I donwloaded from WND site works fine. It's a must have 'head-turning' DUAL SIM phone.

I got this phone from UAE yesterday, before that date, I never knew about WND brand. In one word, this phone is: AWESOME!! Contacts & call history can be shared or separated + the phone can make and receive calls with both SIMs at the same time!! If a call is received while the 2nd is busy, user gets notified by an on screen message and several short vibrations with the choice of accepting the 2nd call while leaving the first call on standby/muted, or even talk to the two callers on the two SIMs at the same time!!! A dual face GO! for this dual face dual SIMs phone!
