  • Yes, but your mobile network operator has to support it too. (I'm not sure if China ROM supports it outside China, but xiaomi.eu ROM's do and Xiaomi allows to install xiaomi.eu ROM's)

  • If you want to use a microSD card, you won't be able to use 2nd SIM card, because microSD card slot is shared with nanoSIM (second SIM) slot.

  • Mi4s crush test fail. Screen glass was thinner than 1mm. Easily demage screen over 1 feet drop test.

  • Don't get me wrong, Xiaomi 4s is a good smartphone with decent processing power and stunning looks, but since the supply of Xiaomi 5 have already cought up with the demand (at least for the models in white and gold) and the price in China fell down to the recommended 1999 yuan for the 32GB version and 2299 yuan for 64GB, there is really no reason to go for Xiaomi 4s anymore.

  • That's indeed not full QC2.0. My QC2.0 enabled powerbank charges at 12V 1.5A for a total of 20W, but Mi4s charges at only 9V 1A for a total of 9W. Moreover, while the official Xiaomi wall charger unit MDY-03-EB doest support 12V, it provides only 1A at this voltage which does not follow QC2.0 specs. I tried using a 3rd party QC2.0 enabled wall charger unit, but the phone does not accept more that 9V 1A anyway. I think I might've seen the phone negotiating for 12V 1A once, but since it doesn't happen often I might've got it confused with some other appliance.

  • Xuaomi did nit say what kind of glass it uses but there is definitely protected. Tried scratching it with a key but wasnt damaged. Its a nice with with good battery life. Performance is good. Aside from it being the china variant, no other problems.

  • Not true. Excluding the benchmarks scores, htc is still the best. Htc has the best software on android phones and sony is the worst IMO.

  • If you can stand the ugly look of the redmi note 3 snapdragon go for it. The difference in processing performance and camera is not regocnizeable at all.

  • The front and back is made of glass, side is metal. Seems a delicate phone so take a good care of it. Fortunately, mine does not have any scratches or dents yet while not using a case. I have a pouch though. I still like holding the phone itself. Im pretty sure the glass will break if dropped.

  • I just bought the 16GB version. It's not fake but it comes with 2GB of RAM. All the other specs are the same. Some results: Antutu 6.1.4: 52000 Basemark X: 12600 (HQ) Basemark II: 1200 (1672, 1096, 1484, 756). It is nothing spectacular but still a very nice phone, with solid build and good hardware. It is probably the best phone for that price, at least until we see the new Nubia Z11 Mini later this month.

  • This or the Alcatel Idol 4? (5.2" not 5.5") Having a hard time choosing. I like the 5" screen of the Xiaomi Mi 4s better than the Idol 4's 5.2", but I also like the 4 speakers, JBL earphones, and the Boom Key on the Idol 4. But this has a more powerful processor and a fingerprint sensor. Not sure if I would like USB Type C. I also know that the software is better and more updated on the Idol 4. I also value tha camera and I know both have Dual-LED flash and 13MP but just don't know what sensor is used on either of them.   • The battery life was not exceptional good as same like the mi4c, both having the same snapdragon 808. Not a good design processor but bring out good display on 1080res and snappy good camera.

  • I think mi4s is an upgrade of mi4c in terms of battery, fingerprint sensor, sd card slot and 64 internal storage. But the camera seems to be little bit downgraded. I dont know which camera sensor has been used in mi4s. but mi4c used sony imx 258 in the back camera. In gsmarena's review, comparison of camera quality between mi4c and mi4s shows quite noticable difference.

  • The fingerprint sensors works great. Metal design is scratch resistant. Great camera but not the best out there. I would say the only problems I had is with the Mi account . Tip:Disconnect from any network (WiFi and data) during first startup process. If you're going to download themes (which has nice themes like Ratik wara) use the mi account and sign out. It bugs the dialer and contacts. Phone does get hot sometimes during gaming and for it to have its sleek look,sacrifices had to be made such as having the speakers on the bottom (not my problems most of the time since I use my headset) just for horizontal users you might face this problem if you're not using any earphone or headphone

  • This is what Mi4 should have been. 64GB +sdCard is icing on the cake. Thank god Xiaomi understood that not all of us want our phones for HD Gaming or photoshop. An excellent choice over Mi5 who wants a 5"phone with decent camera, bigger battery and huge storage. I have a feeling that this will be in demand more than the basic Mi5 model.

  • I just checked in Xiaomi website and it's still not available for purchase, I can't even order it :( According to gsmarena: exp. release 2016, March.. Does it mean in more or less a week we will be able to get it?? I really need this phone as soon as possible, 'cause mine broke and I'm using an old one :D I left a message in Xiaomi website, hopefuly they'll answer to me shortly... The price is too good to be true!

  • A perfect awesome phone with 5" display, light weight, decent battery, very comfortable to carry without bulkiness to pocket, with latest specifications; one would feel proud to own it. But only should be suitably priced, when it is launched in India. At the earliest it should be launched in India before its other competitors launch the similar products.

  • Price is just slightly cheaper than the mi5 32gb but so much expensive than the redmi 3. It's a premium version of redmi3 but why not Snapdragon 650, 16mb camera, 32gb rom as the redmi note 3 pro. The Snapdragon 808 make this perfect 5“ phone expensive. Perhaps redmi 3s coming for cheaper options?

  • what they did to the redmi note 2 with the 3, they did to the mi4c with the mi4s, smart moves, but the mi4c, rn2 users will definitely feel betrayed, a 4-month update cycle is just too soon.
