Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro - User Reviews

  • mi 9t pro.

  • Hi still no MIUI 11 or android 10 updates on PFKMIXM version.

  • Which is better xiaomi mi 9t pro or realme xt?

  • Hello, i get yesterday miui 11 updat based on android 10 - 11.3.0.(QFKEUXM) in Slovenia

  • K20 Pro is its chinese counterpart

  • I didn't find any wifi problem been using it for 2 months, don't know what other people are saying

  • go with Huawei Nova 5T

  • Is there any chinese version of Mi 9T Pro?

  • I m using for 7 days but Didn't find wifi problem. Al day long i connectedwith wifi

  • Is it true that wifi lags on this phone (slow, disconnects)? Saw a video vs. poco on youtube. Big downside for me since I'm on wifi all the time... Can anyone suggest me a phone with strong and fast wifi in this price range (with good specs like mi9t pro)?

  • same in Germany. I guess the official MIUI 11 for the global 9T Pro is not out yet.

  • Yes, this is the global version. It has the B20 band!

  • Is it the global version?

  • Here in Sri Lanka, Still I didn't received the OTA update notification for android 10 with MIUI 11.

  • Android Q is still Android 10. Same way Android 9 is Android Pie

  • where have you downloaded it?

  • Hi, haven't yet received the updated miui 11 on mi9t pro. I've check to download the official version, still they haven't upload version 11 yet. (still on miui 10.3.3.0) Anyone received the update on global yet?

  • What is the difference between European SAR and simple SAR? Sometimes up and vice versa

  • yeah . mi 9t pro really has an issue connecting to wifi.

  • Downloaded and installed manually

  • Yes, i have since last week.

  • Really? on MI9T pro? or on your K20 pro?

  • Have anyone receive the update of MIUI 11 and Android 10 yet?

  • The mic is good. I cannot compare it to other current flagships, but I would say it is decent quality and quite a few steps above my previous oppo f7

  • Hi, anyone knows how the microphone on Mi 9T Pro is? I mean to use it to record live electronic music gigs, with very high volume and very high bass. I have a Redmi Note 7 and it's too cheap to do that, the sound is completely distorted and impossible to listen to. Can a mid range phone like the Mi 9T Pro (or Mi 9T) do the job, or do I have to look for high end phones like Galaxy S10 or Huawei P30 or iPhone? Thanks..

  • What's Android Q ?? never heard of such thing, i only know Android 10.

  • Today received Android Q on Global.

  • The software on this phone shows the problem of the heavy fragmented Android ecosystem this phone still runs a Linux kernel from 2017 and questionable software that puts users privacy/security at risk specially manufactured devices in countries with almost none human rights, and typicality Xiaomi have talk and talk long enough without doing nothing, surprised not really then it's only a strategie

  • MI9T Pro is better, they almost have the same specs but MI9T pro is cheaper.

  • What do you mean?

  • OP7 pro or OP7Tpro who is better and if this price difference pays off. And who better OP7 T pro or Xiaomi Mi9Tpro please objectiv recommendations not cheerleaders. Thanks.

  • Its superior phone

  • No. It does not

  • Just bought the phone 1 week ago. The phone has wireless connection problem! Can't solve yet. Even though my iphone, LG android and mi 9t pro is in the same spot, mi9tpro looses connection. Don't know what to do! I m gonna take it back to mi store ! Be careful when buying this phone

  • Why my xiaomi 9tpro cant connect to the wifi I check already not my router problem is this a phone problem or other else

  • Is this phone really have Super AMOLED? i read on xiaomi website, they said it just AMOLED. anyone care to explain?

  • There are small software differences but essentially this is the global version and k20 is China & India only

  • For the cameras, i advise to install gcam 7.1 with astrography option work great

  • Pro's - Price - High-end SoC - Amount of RAM - Brightness Super Amoled Screen - Headphone jack - Fast charging - Notification led in pop-up camera - Fingerprint scanner behind screen - Relatively fast Android 10 update Con's - No micro sd slot - No IP67 rating - MIUI instead of stock Android - No wireless charging - Camera's are mediocre (no OIS) - No stereo speakers - SAR rate above average

  • Xiaomi redmi k20 is at a different bandwidth mainly for China and india while 9tPro for global(Europe)

  • Thanks for advice.

  • go try mi mix alpha.

  • I am high-end user. I like premium devices, it's a hobby. I have started this year in April with Huawei P30 pro which was all around perfect for me. After I have changed to Samsung Galaxy S10 plus, which kind of disappointed me - battery even 4100mAh is not very excellent and ultrasonic fingerprint technology seems to be in diapers yet and for me with original Samsung glass, worked approx 3 out of 10 times. Camera compared to P30 pro did not impress me too. Week ago I decided to try MI 9T Pro as there is such a hype around it and honestly, for 300 bucks it is a game changer. Auto brightness and auto contrast technology work amazing and all screen amoled panel makes watching netflix no compromise. Triple camera setup during daylight and even indoor lightning catch P30 Pro qualities, low light shots and night mode are usable but not best. Battery life is literally extreme as a heavy user unplugging the phone at 05:30 I am still around 40% at 22:30. What would make this phone even better are stereo speakers - that is the only downside I have found yet. In conclusion for 300 bucks this phone is a must and not only when budget is a case.

  • I have the 8gb 256gb Pro amazing device battery, screen, camera, performance.

  • I mean Mi 9T Pro, typo

  • Did Mi 9T have DCI-P3 100% HDR10 Or just HDR? Coz on gsmarena different

  • If you play graphicintense games you might want the Pro-version but otherwise the Mi 9t is more than enough. Mi 9t is the best phone you can buy right now in terms of features and price.

  • Thank you!

  • Yes, they are the same phone for different markets. I don't understand why gsmarena didn't merge the too, like they do for any other phone with two different model names/specs depending on the market.

  • why?

  • Is this the same with Redmi K20 pro? Confused as shit here.

  • Hi my brother.. mi9 is better

  • You can refer the answer at the link I have provided below. AT&T uses band 12 and same goes with T-mobile.

  • Would you recommend Mi 9T Pro or Mi 9? Am in the US on TMobile - 9T Pro does not have Band 12 - is it needed? Pricewise both are similar. Any suggestions? Thanks.

  • Kirin is better than Snapdragon but Adreno is better than Mali.

  • Pro version has a better camera. Their sensors are different. Sony IMX586 in 9T pro and IMX582 for the 9T

  • SD730 has better battery life. On other questions the devices are the same.

  • Do you feel any significant difference between the two? Not only speed, but also WiFi and Cellular reception, call quality, heating, battery life. Thank you!

  • I have the european Mi 9T, not the 9T Pro, and I have the call recording functionality. During any call I can press the icon (like a k7 tape) in the screen and it starts recording. I can also go to phone dialer settings and enable the automatic call recording for all calls. i don't know why your 9T pro does not have this feature...

  • Mi 9 lite or Mi 9T or Mi 9T pro and why ....

  • nope, 855 better

  • i live in georgia (caucassion)

  • I love my Mi 9T Pro, have 2 weeks and I'm happy P.S. when comes Android 10 or Miui 11 ? I wait it Xiaomiiii

  • I am satisfied with my 9t pro

  • Does kirin 980 better than snapdragon 855?

  • Does it support wireless charging?

  • It exists only in the India global ROM.....

  • Where the built-in call recorder like other xiaomi mobile!!!

  • This is the best Android phone actually in the marker, the best performance in a nice price. Comfortable in your hands and a lot of features and services in this great device. The best battery duration and screen. Fist I bought the 9t version now I have the 9t pro with snapdragon 855.both real great.

  • same happening to me too. In security look like dial pad and messaging google take over

  • hi, why when i make optimization it only reach only 94? message of "default settings have been change" dial and messaging was tick and need to restore. but when i click restore, nothing happens. any problem with my phone? please help.

  • This phone is a bang for the buck, me loving it :)

  • you can watch this, this video covers the main difference between the two..

  • Camera is great but if you still want better camera in this segment then go for pixel 3a

  • Why is it stupid, as I think about buying it.

  • im from the Philippines should I get k20 pro or mi 9t pro???

  • nice phone with stupid camera but all over its perfect by price

  • when comes Anndroid Q or MIUI 11 ?

  • no it doesnt have. if you want that go for mi9 or mi9 pro

  • Does it have wireless charging?

  • Nova 5T if you are after the camera, Mi 9T Pro for bigger battery and better performance.

  • Which is Better Niva 5T or Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro? Suggest opinions why thanksss

  • Yes it does have NFC

  • Global ver have nfc..im using mi 9t pro..just do it bro

  • Yes, the global version has NFC, I bought the phone yesterday :)

  • i have if you have any question

  • yes global version has NFC

  • do you have this phone? poco & 9t pro?

  • I'm confused, k20 pro page says NFC is only for China but the page for mi 9t pro says it also has NFC... So does this global version really got NFC or not?

  • Another whiner.

  • LOL to both.

  • No, you are the one missing the point. I think you have difficulty with comprehension. Keep whining.

  • Yes, the 9T Pro does have NFC. I use it for financial transactions and it works wi6thiut problem.

  • I'm confused, k20 pro page says NFC is only for China but the page for mi 9t pro says it also has NFC... So does this global version really got NFC or not?

  • You don't even understand my point, It make things easier not more complicated.. i think it's you who's missing some part of the brain

  • depends how much money you want to spend. mi9t pro is cheaper and has three cameras but oneplus build quality is higher but has two camera

  • mi 9t pro

  • One plus 7

  • mi 9t pro or one plus 7

  • i myself own both right now. in some or many cases i belive poco is better. poco takes better shots with night mode at nights. poco is cooler when playing pubg poco has better battery life against mi9t pro the only thing i like about mi9t pro is the design. although i use poco as my main phone and pro as the second

  • Maybe it's because the pocophone has liquid cooling system in the internal hardware, whereas k20 pro, and mi 9t pro only use thermal paste inside. And probably that makes the difference on the overall thermal performance, You'll understand what i'm saying here if you've watched the teardown videos of both phones in jerryrigeverything channel on youtube..

  • does anyone know hot to have game turbo 2 on this phone? i had game turbo on my poco and mi9t but cant find it anywhere on mi9t pro

  • Why make your life complicated? You do not need infrared in 2019. Simply sync or pair up your smartphone to your tv or radio and you are done. Some tvs or radios need an app that you can get from the google store or qr code. Some people just do not know how to use their common sense/brain, always whinning.

  • hi, this is my opinion only. i have pocophone F1. i bought this mi9tpro just recently since they are telling that this is the spiritual successor of the poco F1, actually i am waiting for the F2 but i think they will not produce F2 according to rumors. i just notice that pocof1 is much smoother than 9tpro in terms of performance, i dont know if iam the one only notice this. again, its my opinion only. salute all xiaomi mobile user. :)

  • lol it's not infrared for file transfer but for remote control.. for some people like me it's a handy feature/app, with a single click on my phone I can turn on and off my TV + everything connected to it (STB, Home Theater, etc) instead of finding the remote control one by one

  • About 7 hours

  • Anybody here who has Mi 9t Pro to tell me how many hours on screen time?

  • Connect your smartphone via sync or pair it to your tv or radio. Stop living in old age century old man.

  • bought for gaming. not a bad phone but will get hot in 10 minutes while playing pubg

  • After jerryrig everything...has the setup for waterdust proof.xiaomi just dont pay for it :) and keep the price down! Smart marketing move, I say.

  • Is waterproof

  • If you mean OIS, no it doesnt have OIS. Instead it have software that stabilize the pictures. No big difference in day to day use. I compared it with Samsung galaxy s10 and got more sharp pictures with Mi 9t. It has EIS stabilization for video.

  • It doesn't have image and video stabilization ?

  • Depends on which country you live in and habits. I Sweden for example not many people using infrared but that doesnt mean people in other countries don't use it.

  • people still asking for 1970s 3.5mm audio Jack isn't it, so what's wrong asking for infra red for universal remote control ? you can still see people asking for user removable battery... lol

  • i think it has but not mentioned.

  • So far no.

  • Who still uses that in 2019?

  • it's so sad, none of these moules have infra red, disgust

  • Does anyone know if the pearl white color will be available in Europe also?

  • Yes there is a 256 GB/ 8 GB RAM version but its' not launched fully on all markets worldwide.

  • k20 pro is chinese variant/rom and the mi 9t pro is the global version so it wont have a problem with Global Rom

  • Is this mobile will come to EGypt?

  • I believe you might get adds if you have K20 pro. I also believe the EU-version Mi 9t pro comes with less preinstalled apps. I hade only 4 preinstalled apps in my Mi 9t.

  • Hello, am outside of china and india, i wish to know what is the real difference between the MI9T pro and the K20 pro in term of software? Ive heard that k20 pro have some issue with global MIUI.

  • In Hong Kong only 8/256 is available at hkd3599(460usd). BTW, k20pro 8/256 in China has been reduced to 2699rmb(380usd)

  • I know its charging QC4.0+ but does it support USB PD? Also which is faster

  • How does mi 9t pro compare to zenphone 6? I know 9t pro has amoled but zenphone has bigger battery if not I won't even consider it. Anyone here has hands on compare both before? How is gaming, camera on both phones etc

  • how you disabled band41?

  • Tsssk..specs is ok but there is no card slot 😔

  • I think xiaomi test Us If The Graphite cooling System is Catchy So they Can Pursuit the Graphite Cooling System For Poco F2.

  • in my country philippines band41 is so congested that tech tried to disable this band to have a better LTE signal

  • Where do you live?

  • no lte band 41? how many carrier aggregation this can do?

  • I am currently on Giff Gaff, so I which model has the band 20? I want to buy as High spec as I can

  • Really? In Indonesia? Where did you hear this?

  • You won't feel difference between 6 and 8 GB versions

  • 8/128 or 8/256 likely atm only available in Hong Kong Taiwan and Indonesia. Conflicting reports on whether phone is super amoled or just amoled. Mi support says amoled while aida64 says super amoled.

  • Hi I was going to get this phone but my relative who bought couple days ago says his phone is hot at 46C after heavy usage. Is this overheating? A cause for concern? Or should I look for something else? I know 9T has heat issues. I would thought better model has fix such problems.

  • I just bought the xiaomi redmi k20 pro the 8gb/256gb version for £420, I'm really looking forward to using it, thankfully my EE sim is supported by the phone, I know I had the option to get thr international version but as this phone does not have expandable storage I really needed the 256gb storage and is save a lot of movies and music to my device. It will replace my trusty s8+ which I've had for almost 3 years now

  • Mi 9T Pro only comes in two variants: 6/64 or 6/128, you should go with K20 Pro if you are after bigger RAM.

  • Anyone know is mi 9t pro have 128gb/8gb ram, cuz i read in news k20 vs 9t pro they are mentioned 8gb ram

  • its only MYR1599 here in malaysia

  • If it is shipped fron china originally, is it badged as mi9T pro or is it just k20pro? Do you have 4g band20?

  • According to gsmarena's specifications, chinese k20pro has fewer lte bands (notably band20) than the indian k20pro. Are they really different? If so xiaomi would not list them under the same model name would they?

  • For mobile photography purpose, you can also check Honor 20 PRO and Huawei Nova 5T or even the Mate 20 with Leica cameras.

  • According to XDA, the Mi 9T Pro display was mentioned as "AMOLED by Samsung". No doubt that it is Super AMOLED.

  • Hello, any information about 8/128GB or 8/256GB version? Will it be released or not at all? Thanks

  • Hi mine is Mi9 T pro 128gb i paid £377 and the seller is chinese but imports from China. Ive bought my last 5 phones from ebay with no issues. If you check the sellers ratings feedback etc you will be fine. And regards warranty my warranty is with the seller so any issues i would send back to Manchester where he is based and then he will have it fixed which is stated in his listing. Hope it helps although i bought the last one and he only has the 64gb version left now.

  • Thanks, hope you're right. According to samsung brighter screen and far less sunlight reflection should make a difference for me. Internet is as usual confused on 9t pro being one or the other. xda-developer review states "just" amoled, but many other state super amoled.

  • For camera buy this one insted of A3..Primary camera may be same but ISP is far more superior in 9T Pro.also u will have a better wide angle camera than A3 + a tele cam which is not present in A3.The selfi cam is better in A3 though.

  • Doesnt matter. You cant see the difference anyway.

  • Definitely Super AMOLED. The only difference is that normal AMOLED's digitizer isn't adhered to the screen, like the Lumia 820. Really not much difference to be honest.

  • I don't really feel comfortable buying from eBay. But anyway how much did you pay, is it the 9T Pro or a K20 Pro and what you do about warranty... how does that work? Thanks

  • I just bought it yesterday from ebay uk

  • What's the definitive answer... the display is Super AMOLED or just AMOLED?

  • I've already got black shark 2, but the camera is pretty descend. Is it worth to buy this 1 for camera purpose, or should I just get Mi A3? Confused coz already got SD855 on Black Shark 2, but the price is not too expensive in my country. Anyone willing to answer?

  • I don't get it why we only getting to variants 6/64GB & 6/128GB. NOT FAIR *cries*

  • Anyone know when it will be available in UK?

  • What is the loading time in MCOC arenas between fights?

  • memory upto 128 or 64 GB SD only 6 GB ROM we expected 8 GB ROM with 256 GB and processor 855 plus, Rear camera 64 megapixel

  • Mi 9 has better camera

  • They are the same phone with different name branding, but different frequency bands.

  • What is better with the camera, performance & hardware in K20 Pro compared to the one in MI 9T Pro?

  • Storage is no issue. I have 64gb in mine Mi 9t and its more than enough. RAM through you can discuss. Since the proversion is better for gaming you can expect more RAM than 6gb.

  • Why less ram and storage then K20 Pro?

  • What is better with the camera in MI 9 compared to the one in MI 9t pro?

  • I will go for Mi 9 base on Camera MI 9 have better camera and it support wireless charging. if Mi 9T Pro pop up camera will not last long even have good battery life spend.

  • Hi, is there FM radio? At Mi 9T is written yes but at this model is not....

  • okay, .if k20pro have hdr10 why mi9t pro doesnt have? why

  • And no headphone jack on the Mi 9 without T :)

  • Ah sorry. I would go for MI 9 with a t. :-) Reasons: Newer phone, Fullscreen without cameranotch in display, larger battery capacity, (doesn't mean its more efficient but the chances that a charge will last for you is higher the more power the battery has), 3,5 mm headphone jack, better buildquality and feels better in the hand. The things you won't get is wireless charging. For me wireless charging is still in development and doesn't work very well anyways.

  • thanks for answer, but I wanted to know if MI 9 without T or MI 9T pro :)

  • If you play heavy games on your phone and don't care about charging the phone every day I go for MI 9t pro (the better chipset on proversion drains battery more). Also if you do videos a lot and record in 4k and thats important I would go for the proversion. Pro version has 4k video in 60 fps while normal verison only have 4k video in 30 fps. But if you, like me, don't play heavy games and think its important to have a great batterylife (3 days with medium use) I would go for MI 9t. The difference between the two is very small and I liked to save some money therefore i recommend the normal version. I think its 100-150 euros difference in price between the models.

  • Hello, 9T Pro NFC -Supports Google Pay

  • Hello, what to choose? Mi 9 or Mi 9T Pro? if the price is the same?

  • Still not clear on NFC

  • Buy Mi9T, of course. It has SD855, far superior to Kirin 980. It shoots 4K @30 fps. Mate 20 can't. Beside this, Huawei's future is uncertain.

  • You are very right

  • Depends on what you want to do with your phone. Huawei has an excellent camera but the uncertainty of the brand makes it a harder outside China to buy Huawei phone. We don't know how good their own OS will be and we don't know how isolated Huawei will be. If you really need a phone today my recommendation is to stay away from Huawei for a while until we know more of their future, unless you are in China. Also Mi 9t (pro) is a solid phone i would recommend to everyone. Don't recommend it too much though, if Xiaomi get too popular they might end up like Huawei and get isolated. :-)

  • Can't wait for Mi 9T Pro to come to Malaysia. Even their gaming phone Black Shark 2 Pro already announced coming early Sept. Only issue it's joke Xiaomi Malaysia announce its SC won't service Black Shark 2 Pro here. Since this is case I better turn to Mi 9T Pro as I doubt there are many Black Shark SC.

  • Because it's cheaper than mi 9

  • should buy this Mi 9T Pro or Huawei Mate 20?? now mate 20 price drop a lot in my country

  • Because they decided not to include it. Same way they decided to add features that were not on the Mi 9, on the Mi 9T pro.

  • Phones having different prices in different countries isn't an aberration. Meanwhile, there are ads on the k20 pro; why are there no ads on the Mi 9T pei? Same phone.

  • Price is 80 euros higher than k20 pro. Why?, it's the same phone

  • why there is no wireless charging like mi 9 ?

  • Hope so

  • It's indeed a no brainer. Though I bought the non-pro version since I'm not gaming and I wanted to save a couple of bucks.

  • I have Mi 9T and i game on it PUBG and MCOC 3-5 hours regularly from last 2 weeks. No overheating issue. Games runs smooth

  • For anyone wondering if this phone overheats and if it throttles at all with a constant heavy load, the answer is simply no. Look up on youtube a 4 minute video called: Redmi K20 Pro heating test feat iPhone XS - Stress Test | 4K Ultra HD He compares it to the iPhone 10 and the iPhone 10 heats up a lot and drops almost 30% in performance while the k20 pro stays cool and dips about 1-2% in performance. Guys this phone is a no brainer. Buy it!!!

  • Your friend's Mi 9T might be faulty. Others don't have the problem your friend has.

  • Actually the opposite is true, 9T pro heats up much more, even in idle according to Notebookcheck (But all tests pretty much confirm that 9T pro is heating more and 9T doesn't throttle). I have 9T and haven't had heating problems. I've heared PUBG specifically overheats it (It was officially mentioned in buglist by Xiaomi). I'm not a gamer

  • I have Xiaomi Mi 9 which has the same specs and I play PUBG sometimes. The game is so smooth and good to play. No overheating or any other issues. It is unbelievable how much better is than my old iPhone 6s. This Snapdragon 855 is just a tech beast. I guess you will have no issues with this phone especially for gaming.

  • yep its definitely the best for playing pubg!Just remember to get Global Rom before getting it. I played 4-6matches,each lasting 15-25minutes.The battery only dropped from 100% to 87%. Its definitely the best phone you should get. And yep,CurryRice is my IGN name feel free to add me

  • The Mi 9t pro is more of a gamingphone than Mi 9t. I'm not surprised your friend had to return his Mi 9t after overheating assuming he is playing quite a lot. I think you will be satisfied with the pro version when it comes to gaming. I have the Mi 9t because im not gaming, I just want a good, affordable allround phone so I can spend my money on better stuff than a phone. Comparing youtubevideos and testing shows that Mi 9t still is a good gamingphone but the 855 snapdragon chipset offers a lot more.

  • I want to buy small size compact phone with popup camera from xiaomi.

  • Please confirm with Sd855+8+256gb version!!!

  • You do know this device have moving parts, right? That is why it has no IP rating.

  • Anyone actually using this device? Can it play PuBG without overheating? I know this is Mi 9T Pro but my friend had to sent back his Mi 9T because after short while it heats up so badly the game can't be played and his phone actually shut off.

  • Right....i could probably get 4G bands with certain carriers, but virgin mobile plans and the vast majority of plans offered by the big companies are an absolute ripoff. I'm with Lucky Mobile and for $25 a month i get unlimited nation wide talk unlimited text including international text and 1GB of data.

  • Why not 8/256 Varient 🤔🤔

  • IP 68 for waterproofing/rainproofing/sweatproofing/splashproofing is a BASIC requirement??!!

  • There was no need to discuss warranty just because this is known matter (at least I believe so). Or do you think you are the only one "better and smarter than anything" ? Anyway, overall I agree. It's a little risky and there are some pros and cons here. It could end up having actually no warranty at all in some cases. However on the other hand if I'm in EU and send device to service center in other EU country it's better than you describe (my case). Everyone must consider this. That's why it's best to buy from local if the price isn't too much. As for taxes and duties, of course they have to be paid anyway. If you read carefully the point here was more acceptable price anything else (at least if speaking for myself).

  • First, do you think EU countries are only countries in europe? My country isn't in EU and I don't have any or have 1 year warranty but prices are the same like everywhere in Europe. Second, you should educate yourself and learn that there is warrant if you buy phones from China and return shipping to China for warranty is paid by seller in most chinese shops. Third, yeah you're right, I would pay taxes and duties, exactly 0% custom duties on smarthphone and 20% VAT so I could get K20 Pro for total of 327EUR which is 103EUR less than Mi 9T Pro and it's exactly the same device like Mi 9T Pro, only difference is that it doesn't have B20 but have two other european 4G bands. And what do you mean buy this sentence:"Buy chinese crap and don´t bother crying your eyes here for a high price"? When you sell it it's not crap but when chinese sell it it's crap? LOL... We are talking about the same device!

  • It's not all about specifications, all of those phones have same SoC but Zenfone 6 and OnePlus 7 are generally better and high-quality phones.

  • GDP per capita is the best measurement of a country's standard of living. Look at GDP per capita in those countries and in India, it's not much of a difference(India 2000$, Albania and Serbia around 5000$). It's not like 100 000$ GDP per capita like in Luxembourg, 80 000$ GDP per capita like in Switzerland or 75 000$ GDP per capita like in Norway, that's significant difference.

  • how is this a bad deal though??? it has a better camera than the oneplus 7, better screen than the zenfone 6, attractive design, ete etc etc

  • I think you and others like you who think they are better and smarter than anything should do simple math and educate yourselfs for christ sakes beforre writing here. Nobody here is talking about EU Warranty, which is mandatory for any seller. Who mentioned it? Nobody! I am a seller of these things so I know my sh*t! Offering 2 years warranty is very expensive. We have to get it as additional costs from services around Europe. Buy from China guys if you want, just forget you have any warranty. You have ZERO warranty! Unless you want to send your devices back to China, India or wherever you buy it, pay at least 50 Eur/USD for the shipping and then wait 2-3 months when you get your phone back and the question is if you get your phone back repaired at all or not. The second thing is taxes and duties, you will pay them anyway when you import any phone from Aliexpress, China, India. Third thing it is not only about the bands, there are also other differences. Non Global versions do not come with CE certification. Those are stopped by the customs and sent back or destroyed. I know a lot more about all this and believe me, it is not so black and white and simple guys as you think. When you buy one piece it could get under the radar, but for sellers like me getting in hundreds of devices in one order is a hell procedure and expenses rise pretty much. Warranty is something that can pay out. Buy chinese crap and don´t bother crying your eyes here for a high price. Nobody will listen to you and smart people will buy it anyway, speculators will buy from China with no warranty. You have choices, do as you think is best.

  • You got that wrong bro. India is much poorer than like Serbia, Bulgaria, Albania, Romania, etc, etc. Go and have a look, then write nonsense. By the way there are some very good eshops in Europe where you can buy Xiaomi phones pretty cheap. You just have to google a bit more.

  • WTF? Are you trying to be funny or something because you're not? Did you ever heard of constructive conversation? I'm just trying to help people in a way that if it's true that Mi 9T Pro is almost 500EUR for 6/128GB version then they can buy a better phone for that money. I know I won't buy this phone if this price is true even if I planned it but I expected it to be priced like in India(350EUR) and I have right to tell that. I just need a little time to see if price of Mi 9T Pro is true and if it is I'll decide between K20 Pro for 270EUR from China or I'll buy OnePlus 7 or Asus Zenfone 6 in my country for 470EUR. If you have something against it just pass my comments please.

  • You can use all LTE bands if you're on Virgin Mobile.

  • Have you got any idea what resolution of video-call could 3G handle on Android? Just in case I'd consider that K20Pro too ...

  • Look, I wrote similar posts like you about price some time ago but now I know more so I expected this. Doesn't mean I like the price. If you asked me if I'd pay that much for this, the answer would be 'no way'. Although still not impossible to solve it, for me getting little complicated so I'll probably go simple way and just buy something else. Can't mess forever. Unless I buy that K20 Pro which is pretty cheap.

  • Anyone here using it for gaming watch videos etc? How hot is it? Just slight warm or hot? I remember reading 9T (not pro) significantly heats up. I am really considering this phone to get. It's either this or I spent more and get oneplus 7(not pro). Reason I am not really comfortable getting not pro oneplus 7 is it's not available here, only the pro is available. I hate to do overseas rma if there is an issue.

  • C'mon guys, you all write it's cheapest SD855 device but it's not true. Xiaomi Mi 9 also have SD855 and it's cheaper than 430 and 480EUR and for that amount of money you can also buy much more quality ASUS Zenfone 6 or OnePlus 7. Xiaomi just f*cked up everything with this Mi 9T Pro pricing and just admit it for God's sake.

  • You're right. I'm in Canada and i checked the bands i will get 3G but not 4G. I don't think it's worth paying double for 4g. I'm gonna buy it and then flash the official global rom when it releases.

  • Be careful with chinese version. Usually is not present band 20 (800 MHz), used in Europe for 4G/LTE. Is a hardware difference, change the firmware doesn't solve the problem.

  • You're right it differs from west to east in EU not to mention out of EU. But you just cannot expect X. will launch it with 2 pricing options in this region. (Or if you can achieve by writing here they will, I'll thank you. :) ) Pro is still the cheapest SD855 device. I think it's better to focus on realistic possibilities. One of them was mentioned below (K20P for some).

  • Sounds likely. If it doesn't make most of price, must be a part of it at least. Of course it cost them something to sell abroad, make some profit is O.K. and so on. I wonder how many more comments like "it should cost same price as in China" will be here yet LOL. It can't be. But yeah it is kinda expensive for everybody.

  • Well this applies to those who don't need Mi 9T Pro's bands necessary. Or would you buy having no bands support at all? (me not) I think I'd have some bands and some not. Worth consider, for me this (or similar) way or buy just non-Pro. About 480EUR for 128GB means NO.

  • The K20 pro can be bought brand new black color on ali express right now for 300 USD. The Mi 9T pro is way too expensive. Here is my recommendation, buy the K20 pro WITH china rom NOT the unofficial fake "global" rom, flash the OFFICIAL global rom when it releases (probably in a month or less). Enjoy your savings.

  • the simple matter is it costs more to use Euro/NA LTE bands due to patents/modem costs. Thats why international versions are always more expensive than chinese, Look at the BAND support. Everyone here is going on about some conspiracy and its very simple.

  • Well you just confirmed what I wrote, Xiaomi takes higher profit from european countries and that's not fair because it's not true that all european countries are richer than asian countries. In fact most people in those rich european countries don't buy Xiaomi phones and they buy some higher quality brands. People in poorer european countries buy Xiaomi and they have to pay it 80EUR more than people in India(for example) and India is in no way poorer than like Serbia, Bulgaria, Albania, Romania, etc, etc.

  • I agree it's not just taxes like some usually say. It's also profit. Why are you surprised it's natural. You pay different price for the same thing in different part of world depending on income. It's called economy. Goods exported is always more expensive than in home country. People in U.S. or Europe are much more wealthy than Asian they can afford it. So why still somebody complains it's stupid. About that price, remember it's for 64GB and no SD support, so... LOL. But those who are smart will pay less.

  • Xiaomi's profit is still lower than all of the competition, even in Europe. I'm sure it's more expensive for Xiaomi to sell products in Europe too. Also, when comparing prices: The cheapest Mi 9 is 370$ on Aliexpress. In Norway, which has 25% taxes on regular products, the phone costs 490$. That's about 28$ higher than the 25% increase you'd expect, and I'm sure our local stores want a slant too.

  • Most european countries have 0% or 5% customs duty on smartphones and they only charge VAT which is about 20%(depends on country). K20 Pro price is 270EUR on aliexpress and I bet retailers can get it on wholesales for about 240EUR so there is 190EUR difference to 430EUR. If european retailers take 30EUR profit there is still 160EUR difference which is more than what are import taxes in european countries. So to conclude, Xiaomi wants to take more money from european customers which is not fair.

  • Don't need OIS since it have software that offers stabilization instead. The most important thing when it comes to hardware is that it's stable groundmodel like Sony or Leica. From there you can add many features. If you add too many you end up like Samsung and have to price the phones 3 or 4 times more expensive than Xiaomis. In the real life you wont see much difference anyways unless you are a professional photographer.

  • It's because of import taxes, that was always the problem with pricing in Europe. It's not Xiaomi's fault. But at the end almost any brand suffers from that in Europe,so Xiaomi is,still, the best option you have.

  • No official information.

  • 430EUR??? Same phone(K20 Pro) in China is 160EUR cheaper(aliexpress 270EUR) and in India it's 80EUR cheaper(350EUR). XIAOMI THIS IS NOT FAIR !!!

  • camera no ois ?

  • And why you need +6 GB of RAM? Theres not a real reason for more RAM.

  • Cool Phone

  • waited so long for this and only 6GV available? :(

  • Where is it currently available?

  • For Global market

  • Would Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro come to Indonesia? I wish i could have it on my birthday's 🙏

  • That's because k20 pro is sold in china so it has no import taxes

  • It is called marketing

  • Why does this have to be more expensive than the K20 Pro? It's literally the same phone with different software to enable some of the disabled bands and less RAM and less storage.

  • "same" phone, different bands, camera, battery, screen, body, chipset are all the same, not like LTE bands make it a whole new phone.

  • You mean SAMSUNG Note 10 killer? LOL no, nobody thinks that.

  • If they think this a note 10 killer they should remake it all over

  • Taxes

  • My brother you may be stupid because Mi 9T pro and K20 pro has differences. Mi 9T pro will have all 4G LTE bands support as example b20.

  • depends on where you live and the network bands you require

  • Is this the same for Mi 9T and K20? It is cheaper by $20.

  • Do you have a global ROM link for Mi9t Pro PFKMIXM? because I've seen some people who bought the K20 Pro with a stable global ROM PFKMIXM

  • It's not the same. You forgot to mention K20 Pro doesn't support all LTE bands in Europe and USA while Mi 9T Pro is targeted for these countries, brother.

  • My Brothers... Xianomi K20 Pro is twin brother with Mi 9T Pro so do not waste more moeny to get the Mi 9T pro as K20 pro is cheaper.. also buy china version and instal global rom in it you will save extra 70$ so the K20 Pro 128GB with 6GB will be only $375 with Snapdragon 855 which is cheapest in the market for now. you can get it from Ali Express !

  • No OIS.

  • Does the main camera have OIS?

  • They have different pricing for Mi than Redmi. It fits to Mi models. Mi sells in Europe, U.S.A. ... those are richier countries, it's natural. Have you noticed Mi 9T? If you did, you cannot be surprised now. But yeah it's expensive.

  • 430 euro ?! WHY? The k20 pro that comes with 8 GB RAM starts around 350 euro

  • Meh sorry it will be those two cause there is also 8+256GB option for k20 (SDM730) but its global version only has 664GB and 6+128GB

  • Must be same as 9T.

  • how about 256gb version ,will be also available as Mi9T pro? i want that one..

  • What bands does the global version have?

  • 9x Pro is with UFS 2.1 Storage what about K20/9T series? Honor 9x probably has UFS 2.1 too!

  • at last, a global version of the K20 Pro!

  • Finally;)
