Yaaa me too, my phone is set to dark mode and set the turn off light screen to 30 seconds to make phone stay turn on for long time, to reduce a burn ini. Many people says IPS not burn in, but i had on my phone, and it's real.

Bought because I dropped my Redmi 4X in water and the Australian GST was about to kick in. Dropped out of my pocket while seated and cracked the screen a couple of days after receiving. However the cracking was relatively minor and I kept using the phone. The LED is a nicer colour compared to the 4X. The camera shoots good video thanks to the stabilisation, and pictured thanks to the dual rear cameras. The size and screen ratio is very popular however ultimately I found the lighter and smaller 16:9 4X a better phone for me to use. Not a fan of the on-screen software 3 main buttons, ironically the smaller 16:9 4X with hardware buttons below the screen displayed video slightly smaller than the 18:9 Note 5. The hardware is decent although the performance seems similar to the 4X (I don't play 3D games). This has a good enough CPU to run google camera but I haven't bothered trying to install it yet. Needless to say Xiaomi pack in a lot of hardware for the money and we get to play around with "mid range" features and laugh at the people who insist on selling out a grand everytime they buy a phone.

I noticed slowing down only when comparing miui 9 to 10, no slowing down between individual miui 10 updates. Try changing animation scales (3 different scales) from 1.0x to 0.5x under developer options.

No i do not have any issues at all that's why i am really surprised. I was prepared to face issues because of the comments posted. But my phone is blazing fast now and gets 2 day battery with medium usage.. Before i upgraded though i reset my phone to its original state wiping everything then i updated its Miui version. Maybe that's what helped me.

The lastest version upgrade 10.3.1 Oreo stable is amazingly good.Took away the device freezing issue i had and overall improves the phone's performance. I never thought that this would be a good update since you all said that the patch was terrible, but mine was awesome. I will stick to this version until there's a massive stable and reliable upgrade for redmi note 5.

I charged it 100%. After that I unplugged, made sure nothing is running on the background, WiFi, Data, Bluetooth off. GPS still running. Got 2 sims on 4G standby and then left the phone aside for 10 hours. After 10 hours, came back to check I have 89% of battery. Check Power Idle: 27.5% Check Cell standby: 27.2% WTF this Pie update!

My advice wait for next update because i'm very frustrated with my phone right now mostly because weak signal reception, slow and unstable internet + poor battery life. But there's also some slight lag when opening apps and i got forced close when using some third party apps like "Hedge Camera app" I send feedback using the "feedback" option in the setting every day hoping they will fix the problems as soon as possible.

I also don't see any improvements in camera still pretty much useless in low light, i hope they can add some kind of night mode that actually works in low light.

Just did the update to Pie (10.3.1.0/ PEIMIXM) and my Redmi Note5 4/64 is now really really slow now & battery drains faster. I would NOT recommend to do this upgrade. Regarding storage I have 28GB available from 64GB & clearing RAM will not make any improvements. Let's hope the next update will have a fix for this & will be available soon. My phone is really really slow now & a absolute pain to use at the moment.

I have no difference and i have used the phone over a year a bit. I dont feel anything have changed. Hard to find what features this android pie come with this phone. As in youtube titles are in English but open up the video it's either really fast speaking Indian in English or Hindu or what ever. Something went wrong with 2nd 4G sim. After I updated to Pie, the 2nd sim slot, full bar but the 4G internet speed becomes slower. Whereas my Mi Max 2(China set) has no issue at all using the 2nd sim slot, full bar but the 4G internet speed is as usual. Are you having the same issue with your Note 5 AI too?

I switched from Meizu M3 Note to this phone, and the biggest disappointment is the display. The contrast is simply bad, no matter of the settings. Even with the biggest contrast set, white is simply not white enough. I put both phones one by each other, and the difference is huge in the contrast and picture quality. This is particularly bad when I am using the phone in the car for navigation etc, I am still not sure if I will rather keep the older Meizu (which also has some flaws). I bought to my wife Xiaomi A2 Lite and I have to say that it is much better, the display contrast is ok and the picture is then much better.

Not that i want that face unlock but still would be nice if i dont need to change region for it to have it. I would look videos for it on youtube but i am too noob to find any videos in youtube that is in English language. All titles are in english and then click on a video and listen that India people talk either ultra fast in english where the speech chibrish or just in India. I dont know how to block India region in youtube so i can find info videos in there where i can understand whats in the speech in these videos.

Every single phone i had previously had that integrated, so that it automatically controlled media volume, WHEN media actually is playing. The decision to control media by DEFAULT is something i cannot understand. If you are not playing media, you should have control over ringtone volume. This came with miui 10, on miui 9 it was fine

This is a phone you can get for well under 200$! Of course, it's not gonna be perfect. My only complaint are the sketchy updates, and no useful feedback from users about those updates. And, the ridiculous decision to make the volume buttons control media volume, instead of ringtone volume... why!?

I've seen much more expensive phones that have problems with bluetooth, wifi and other issues ( some Sony models for example), while my Redmi Note 5 AI have never had such problems - it even has better battery , infrared sensor , and yes the camera sensor is from Samsung - makes very good photos and even 4k videos!

Wrong about what? Most parts in Redmi Note 5 Ai comes from low tier supplier with questionable QC. Most of their software features are just copy paste from another brands. My Xiaomi Mi4C can take better photos/videos in low light or in HDR mode. And here you go image retention on my Redmi Note 5 AI :

Both Senchao (Panel) and Ofilm (camera module) are low tier supplier they make cheap components with questionable QC. If you want to know what image sensor your phone use just look at the camera hardware S5K... (Samsung sensor), IMX... (Sony sensor) and OV... (Omnivision sensor. The only thing good is the Hynix memory because they make DRAM and Flash memory with great quality.

The display panel on mine is - Shenchao td4310 and I've never had any problem with it - and I like its colors and brightness very much! I does not have any image retention or other flaw! Camera is great (it is ofilm - according to its engeneer menu). Memory is Hynix LPDDR4. The phone is almost perfect for its price - the only thing that is not so good is its front selfie camera, but I don't need selfies, although I have made several and they were not bad at all.

Both of you typical closed minded fanboy who call other people who disagree with you stupid. The reason why Xiaomi can make this phone pretty cheap is because some of the components they use are low quality or from some unknown supplier and they also don't do to much effort on R&D or optimization. For example the LCD panel on my Redmi Note 5 AI comes from Tianma and i already got image retention/presistance from watching youtube video for about 15 minutes. On paper the camera looks great 12MP Samsung Isocell sensor with 1.4 micron and F1.9 lens but in reality the camera on my Mi4C even with smaller sensor, less pixel size and just F2.0 lens perform better in low light and HDR mode. It also capture very low quality photos/videos when using popular apps like Whatsapp and instagram. And most features on MIUI are just copy paste from another brands. Yeah the phone i great but if you open your mind and look into it you'll understand why it can be so cheap and why some users complaining.

This phone is amazing in this price and everything is great like Gaming, battery, etc especially back camera is stunning but the front Camera overexposing the images... Background is too white and you can't see the background because of whiteness... I'm talking about indoors pictures but outdoors... You should test first stupids... By changing Auto Exposure settings to Frame Average, it's pretty much better now... Try it first then comment

For video call you can use Google Duo it has better quality than any other app, but if you need to upload just use natibe camera app or other camera app and then upload it to instagram or whatsapp. For live streaming on whatsapp/instagram i don't have any solution.

I recently update to official global 10.2.1.0 rom, and noticed all these problem with overheating, and battery draining. I solved these issues by doing a hard reset, After booting and setup, I turn on developer mode, and switch off miui optimizsation, this will change the resolution to 360 dp, I then switch it back to default 392 dp in smallest width. So far I've been getting better performance and battery life

On the contrary, I can't play online game with both Wi-Fi and data. Oh no Brother, the camera of this phone does not equal that Of Redmi Note 7 at all, actually the camera of this phone is good but not to the extent of the Note 7. In some of the latest review on YouTube there is camera comparisms between Galaxy not 9 and Redmi Note 7. The fact. Is most of the picture from the Galaxy Note 9 look better but there were few pictures from the 48 MP camera that looked better. Please go the and see it for yourselves. Also is not true you can not shoot pictures with the 48 MP. In the camera interface you go to pro mode and the option to choose the 48 MP is right there on the top of the camera. Because based on my own experiences 3GB of RAM is not great for multi tasking. And when app/game developers add more features most of the time it will use more RAM. Soo.. That's why i suggest everyone who want to use their phone for more than 2 years to get any phone with 4GB of RAM and SD600 series so they can get enjoyable experience with their phone.

Let me try to answer yur questions. 1. Yes it can last for more than 2 years especially if you get the one with 4GB of RAM. 2. So far i don't have any problem with overheating but if you don't have good 4G reception while playing heavy games/apps the phone will get warm. 3. The battery is good i can play PUBG with 20% left for more than 30 minutes and finish the game at about 10% (but if you have bad signal receptions it will drain the battery significantly). 4. Have the 3GB version and the maximum setting i can get is Medium but my friend with 4GB of RAM can get High. To be honest with you if you looking to use the phone for mpre than 2 years i suggest you to get phone with at least SD600 series + 4GB of RAM and USB type C.

Camera is working fine with all known Social Network apps with no issues Been using Waze since then and regular user - Once per day or more and GPS takes about 5s to lock position. Fast and Accurate. For those who are thinking of buying this device, maybe think twice. I mean, its a great phone. Great hardware. Been using this for the past 10 months. And lets just say that, this might be the last xiaomi phone (been a fan since 1st redmi note). Pros Great hardware. Capable of doing what is intended to. Great camera. I mean, realll goooood. Friends are super impressed with the camera output. Battery can last almost a day for a heavy user like me. Able to handle heavy multitask with very little lag. Gaming is fine. Face unlock is awesome. Fingerprint scanner is blazing fast. Second space feature is very convenient for discreet people *cough* Cons Software is very unstable. I blame everything on the software itself. Laggy camera, sometimes it takes more than 10 secs just snap photo. This bugs me the most. Noticable lag while switching apps (only when heavily used) Miui 9 used to have beautify feature during video calls (whatsapp/wechat), but with miui 10, the feature is no longer there. Hard to lock gps on certain apps like grabcar. Waze and maps working fine. Overheated sometimes. Only when youre using too much. Whatsapp notification delay almost all the time. Had to install dns switch to solve this. Conclusion, its a great phone, great hardware. Miui is just super unstable. I might flash custom rom to do this phone justice. Sure, a lot of people argue that there is a workaround for everything. Frankly, im getting tired having to opt for workaround so that the phone can function normally as it should. Its the same thing with every xiaomi model. For once, i would like to use a phone that can perform as good as what stated in paper without having to tweak here and there. Will continue using this phone, but this is my last xiaomi phone.

The MI A2 is better because of these reasons: Higher/Better camera, will get the updates the quickest! Better CPU/GPU but there is one downside! I have this phone and in my opinion, the rear camera is a downgrade from the redmi note 5 pro. I can say this when looking and comparing at the reviewed picture. The detail in 5 pro is far more superior than the 5 ai one. I suppose this is because the xiaomi paying more on it developer to create AI software for bokeh effect in the single selfie camera

This phone is really an excellent phone but the problem is the chipset because nowadays we have some very fast chipsets like helio p60 P70 which is far more better than this 636 so I feel in redmi 7 Pro show me should go with helio P70 because sometimes I feel that this phone is not so fast as it should be one more thing that Touch Response of the phone is is not silky smooth due to SD 636 so I hope this new P70 will fix it up

Install "Open Camera" , go to settings- video settings - video resolution and select - 4K Ultra HD . In the same menu - select Enable Video Stabilization ! And of course shoot the video with the same program- Open Camera! I've seen comparison between photos made with Redmi Note 5 AI and with Honor 8x - and those made with Note 5 AI were obviously better!

In terms of processor speed, primarily. But Redmi Note 5 AI/Pro's newer Snapdragon 636 chipset beats the Redmi 5 Plus' Snapdragon 625 in terms of RAM speed, graphics processing, download speed, and charging. Overall, Redmi Note 5 AI performs better.

The only diference is that redmi note 6 has dual camera on front, but i guess that there is no flash on front side, but note 5 has single front camera and flashlight. About RAM, in terms of user experience i think that 3gb is minimum for todays android phones, but 4gb is more than enough for regular user :), for me with 4gb on redmi note 5 everything is running smooth.

I have Note 4, and in the last 20 days Note 5. No way that Note 4 camera, or video, or sound from recorded video(s) is better, than in Note 5. Front and back cameras is better in Note 5 AI.. Try look at settings of camera, disabe beauty mod or somethink like that, because (for the price) camera in this phone is really good, better than in Note 4, especially in low light conditions.

For face unlock, change region to India, Hong Kong, France.. Etc. About theme store, don't know why your country is not supported, because i think, all countrys have theme store (with MIUI 9 and 10). Try restart your phone and try again.

No issues at all with 10.0.4. Those who are complaining. Use your brain dont update your phone. Why keep updating your phone if you already knew it will get worst. This already the third update I guess and you complained with 9.6. Then complain again in 10.. 0 then 10.4.

Maybe you sould try factory reset, thats what i was do. Mine works ok, no lags, no slow-downs, battery is good, camera is same as it was with 10.1, and 10.2. It gets job done, but nothing amazing (for the price). To be hones MIUI is not better tan MIUI 9, is not worse, but not better either, maybe new slider for brightness is more practical, but, thats it.

I've updated the system to MIUI 10.0.4.0. And the result is terrible. The camera is just the same as before, becoming worse, though, many lags which we can say not even smoother process. This is the most regrettable update i've ever made. Can I roll it back to previous version? HELP!!

Did you mean "Which one do you prefer ? Xiaomi redmi note 5 or Lenovo K5 pro? For me the latter because it have dedicated Micro SD slot not hybrid simcard/micro sd slot like the former. The latter also lighter than the former, 165g to 181g. But if your main concern is camera than the former is better than latter and the former also have a IR blaster which can be used as remote controll replacement for electronic equipment. If you picks the former my advice is dont updated it because MIUI are famous and known for its buggy update which can ruins your phone. Just used as its were out of box and it will be fine.

I got today Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 (Global version, or AI) 3/32GB version. On first boot in phone was MIUI 9 (9.5.6.0 and security patch from 01.03.2018). After chek for update, MIUI 10 (10.0.2.0) is available. To be honest, MIUI 10 is little faster, have differente notification bar (similar to Android Pie). So here is some pros and cons MIUI 10 vs MIUI 9 (i was Resdmi 5, also Redmi 5 Plus user with MIUI 9 (9.5.13, to 9.6.4.0). Pros: little faster, fingerprint unlock have same speed Cons: It seems that battery will last shorter (now is first cycle of charging, but it seems that MIUI 10 consumes about 15% more battery, than MIUI 9 (in Redmi 5 Plus, with same resolution, and sam screen size, and same 4000mah battery). I guess MIUI 10 needs still optimizations for battery life, everything else is ok, cameras (front and back) is way better than 5 and 5 Plus. Notice: after update phone was reset to factory settings, so fp scener is fast, no heating, etc.

Go to front camera setting . ANTI-BANDING : 60 HZ . AUTO EXPOSURE SETTING : Frame centered . Contrast , saturation and sharpness are set to HIGH . And remember Use HDR . Now u will not dissappoint . :)

Well I am pretty satisfied with this phone because if you compare this phone with honour 8X which is almost double in price honour 8X does not provide you eiS and secondly it lacks fast charging so the charging time is nearly 3 hours both of these things are basics in these days. So that is why I love xiaomi redmi 5 Pro... and about the camera detail I think 12 megapixel camera of redmi 5 Pro is far better than honour 8X because the details after zooming the pic is stunning mostly people asking the pictures are plasticy.. guys there is a limitations of 12 megapixel so that is why the pixel size is only 12

Of course, Xiaomi Note 5 Pro is differente, it is on the (Indian) market since february, comes with Nougat out of box, have 20 Sony front camera (AL/Global is 13mp OmniVision, but some says its better because of aperture or something like that. At least it was until MIUI 10 update..).. Xiaomi really messed with names, just look at Redmi 5 Plus, that phone is Redmi Note 5 (in India)..

I was have same problem on Redmi 5 back in july this year, and it was on 9.6.3.0,, and also on 9.6.4.0.. So this is something with MIUI thing, maybe broken côde or something like that, and they just copy/paste in newer builds.. ;)

Of youre planning to but this phone. It a fantastic phone. Been using it about 4 months now. Few issues here and there but regular updates solves the issues . YOU MUST INSTALL A SCREEN GUARD ON THIS DEVICS! Forgive my emphasis but this phones screen is the worst I've seen with xiaomi and I've used quite a few. The phone barely dropped from my hands and theirs already a crack on it. I'm in Nigeria so no service center to replace my screen and will have to order for a new screen that will take a while to receive and at a high cost. Great phone buy they could have done better with the screen .

I really searched for a lot reviews before deciding to upgrade and as what i have seen so far there are plenty of bugs on the new updates so i did not upgrade at all. The battery really lasts long and the camera qualities are decent. I've been already using this for few months and im still loving it 😃

I'm on my 5 months of using this phone now, I do nothing with this phone aside from playing games and editing videos, daily browsing and streaming. Since I got the phone I never updated it, it is on MIUI 9.5.6.0. No heating problems, play for a long period. I use it to play Asphalt 9 it only takes exactly 10% of battery for an hour. It doesn't support quick charge, it charges for about more than 2hours from 20-100%. Other than that, I can use it very well, I don't know about the bugs but the Camera and everything is fine. My only complaint about it is the headphone volume is very weak, weak radio signal. But the battery is very good, I don't plan to upgrade it as I read MIUI greater than 9.5 has weaker battery life.

My Redmi Note 5 Al (global verzion) battery was better than the MIUI 9.6 version I received on my phone. I bought a new one with that version and upgraded to MIUI 10 and I just made a mistake. Redmi Note 5 AI on the official Xiaomi website of Indonesia says that this phone only supports QuickCharge 2.0, but in GSMarena said it was QuickCharge 3.0.. Ive been using this phone for almost a month now (Global version 4GB/64GB) and i have to say its a really great phone , i didnt regret buying it at all !! its too good for the price , and here's my opinion about it . Pros : - Build quality : its solid and feels premium in the hands - Cameras : both cameras are amazing they take sharp beautiful phtos full of details - Performance : its amazing , phone is so fast and snappy , no lag at all , it can handle anything Battery life : im in love with this battery , i use this phone every day from 8 am until 11pm and i always get 35% or 40 % left its amazing !! - Speaker : it produce a loud sound with an acceptable quality Cons : the things i didnt like about this phone are 2 : 1st is the design , dont get me wrong , this phone is so beautiful but its flat and very slippery , im always scared if it falls of my hands , i use it very very carefuly , i wish they have done something about it, this phone is hard to handle with one hand 2nd : the sofware !!! tis is the biggest problem with this phone and other XIAOMI phones , i hate the MIUI , they always updating it to fix bugs but they create other problems or remove cool feaures , plus you cant remove system apps like the default music/video player or the browser , its so frustrating , especiall after what they did with the last update MIUI 10 , the camera isnt good like it used to be and almost all themes arent compatible ... I love my phone, mister. I really do. Everyday tasks, with Snapdragon 636, blazing fast, no problem at all. Battery? no problem. It gets better after 2 or 3 days after the MIUI10 update. Daylight and low light shots? Very good. 1080p 30fps with EIS? Crisp and beautiful. The ONLY drawback is its 1080p 60fps. Its supersmooth but the video is dark. I just want to know IF everybody faces the same problem. I don't complaint much. Hopefully, there will be another minor update to fix this issue. Other than that, this phone, Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 AI Dual Camera, is superb.

Guys, I really need your help. I receives an update for MIUI V10.0.1.0.OEIMIFH Stable. So, how was the update? I heard that the battery drained quickly as compared to MIUI9. I bought it from shopee. Battery performance has gotten a lot better after a couple of weeks. Battery drain rate is acceptable now. Only issues left are theme incompatible and earphone jack output volume still low, even after switch region to Hong Kong.

Everything is good except for the headphone jack volume output. Volume is very low even at 80%, which never happen on my previous redmi note 3 pro. Your phone is faulty, there is not an issue like that... display is too bright to see even under hot sun and minimum brightness can be also too low to nights... so everything related that is pretty good in miui 9 and even in miui 10...

Dude someone told me the same, and I said hell no, this is a Xiaomi, phone is superb even kinda water resistant, I don't know how, but phone spend all night wet and dripping in water and plugged into charger, when I picked it up, it was still working smooth, just speaker a bit em... like bad, after I made sure it was dry it recovered after an hour, only thing that got affected was fast charging, when I plugged it to a QC3.0 charger, it just charge normally, not QC anymore. I have 4gb 64gb global version. It's almost 4 months so far so good. But I experienced some heating while charging. According to the CPU-Z app, when it connected to the charger, heat is raising extra 8C. Is that only for me or everyone? Is that normal? I don't have much experience in mobile phones. Especially not with Xiaomi. So I charge only 20 mins and then I disconnect from the charger so it can cool down.

Redmi Note 5 Dual Camera AI has slightly better rear camera specs (bigger pixel size and aperture), but I doubt you'll notice big difference in real world pictures. I would also look at LTE specifications - wherever you come from, you'll need the phone to be compatible with specific 4G bands for your country. Note 5 Pro has somewhat limited LTE coverage. 32/64GB thing is just a matter of your storage needs, whether you make a lot of videos/pictures and how many apps you want to have.

I write from this phone. Camera don't have clarity like Samsung or anothers good phones. It's normal. Never can compare Mercedes-Benz with FIAT or DACIA Logan. If Xiaomi is japanesse, it's good; but it's chinese. I buy this phone for big display, large battery, RAM and for 64gb memory; but not for camera. All Xiaomi brands don't have a good camera.

In my own opinion, Pro Max 1 has higher battery storage at 5000mah and is slight bigger than Note 5 AI. Pro Max 1 doesn't have Gorilla Glass protection while Noted 5 AI has. They are likely similar in regards with the specifications. There's a big difference when it comes to the price. In my case, I bought Redmi Note 5 AI. No regrets, I love it!

@Ruba89: Global ROM usually means it is intended for for use in China. It does not have FDD-LTE band 4 and 20 used by your country's providers. It may prevent you being able to use LTE in your country. After 5 days use this phone here is my personal opinion: Pros: 1)Superb phone for its price! Great performances for midrange games. Has testing Asphalt 9, Asphalt Offroad, Mobile Legend and PUBG Mobile. Heavy graphic still got 30fps without stutter. 2)The batteries durable is also a BEAST! 3)Camera is beautiful although it is not the best. 4)Default installed apps are useful. No unnecessary or stupid apps are installed. 5)Overall Im enjoyed using this device! Cons: 1)Default media apps from Xiomi are very disappointed. Need to use other alternatives media apps like Rocket Players to mp3. Same goes for to other Xiomi media like video player. 2)Video editing apps are too plain and less features. Same goes to my J3 Pro 2017 but my J3 Pro do better video editing than Redmi Note 5 AI. More worst is Xiomi is suggesting to install Kine Master for pro editing, which must manually installed through Play Store which offered very less features and very low quality export, yet keep show adds. Xiomi should make agreement or corporation with KineMaster (also other video cutting apps) to make video editing pros tool installed. But too bad this will end up increase the price for this cheap budget beast. :( 3)Camera Pro mode aren't pro at all. Very less, less, and LESS PRO tool! Just offering 2 edit features are not pro at all. My silly Oppo Neo 5s offer more better on Pro mode. Also my J3 Pro. 4)Sound are not high enough through earphone even at max volume and with Xiomi sound enhancement turned all. Overyall as stated im enjoying my phone, for now. From what I have used for Xiaomi phone before which also support QC 3.0 (such as Mi Max, Mi Max 2), Xiaomi takes a conservative approach on QC. The potential of QC 3.0 or QC 2.0 are at maximum 18W, but Xiaomi limit the maximum wattages to only 15W only, then when battery is charged over 60%, it limits the QC to only 10W, then after 80%, it limit to only 5W, which is the same to normal charging speed. Yes, this doesn't actually speed up the overall charging time, but with QC, at least before battery is up to 60%, it actually charge much faster than normal charging, but after that, it will start to slow down. This approach I think is to reduce overheat while charging, and also protect the battery. So, QC 3.0 or QC 2.0 still worth to invest if you want really quick charge the phone to quickly charge up around 60%. I also did tested the Qualcomm QC charger from very cheap non-branded charger up to those very expensive brand from Anker, Aukey, Tronsmart, LDNIO, UGreen, Adaptive Charger from Samsung, Xiaomi power bank that support QC, car charger with QC 3.0, all perform similarly regardless of brand and price. So just buy the cheap one will do. The original charging cable from Xiaomi in the box already support QC. Or can buy any branded micro usb cable such as from LDNIO, Pineng, Remax, and Pisen.

Even if QC 3 doesn't seems to charge it quicker, I cannot see any real difference, battery is so big, it doesn't matter, I'm used to charge it overnight, so even if I forget to plug it it at night, I know I will have enough juice left for the next day no problem.

I have the 3GB version, and so far I don't face any issue, I would say if you multitask a lot then you might want more ram, but I get to do my stuff enough with 3GB, I use around 2-3 apps at the same time, and I don't feel any slowdown or anything, however I have not tried playing PUGB so far on the device, but I don't feel I will have any issue with it. Also since phone can take a SD card then there is not real difference between 32GB and 64GB.

Yes I luv the 4000mAh batts too. In standby the percentage just stays constant. Normally QC has effect on lower percentage and when it gets fully charged, it's slows down very hard, coming together with the stock charging. but if you say it takes 2hrs overall then it's useless to buy the 3.0

Well I have a QC 3 charger from a Leeco device and I tried for several days, however I don't see any difference, it takes the same, around 2 hours for a full charge, but battery life is awesome, after a full charge, i give it around 3-4 hours of watching videos online, then standby for 8h while i go to work, at night watch online videos for 1-2 hours and still got like 40% on the same charge, could still use it for another day, if give it light usage.

I just realized that the change in placement of the front camera from the right in RN3/RN4 to the left in RN5 actually makes a significant difference in selfie posture. Holding the camera with the right hand (using volume button as snapper) and looking at the camera, the posture would be chin-up with RN3/RN4, but now it's chin-down with RN5, which sucks! Xiaomi fixed what ain't broke, and now it's broke.

I don't know about you guys, but I think xiaomi cheaped out on the build quality of the redmi note 5 pro(India variant) as compared to the dual ai camera(global version). The note 5 pro screen completely shatters and become unusable after a drop from chest height while the global variant does not. Also if the fingerprint scanner on the note 5 pro is badly scratched, it will not detect fingerprints anymore, different story in the global version, it still recognizes fingerprints even if you scratch it with knife or keys. I don't know, is this true? The zenfone max pro build quality as far as I know is similar between Indian and global variants. Meaning to say it survives a drop from chest height, no case or screen protector.

This feature is region dependent. Sadly I also don't have it. Though you can enable it, by changing the region in settings. By doing so, it will automatically downloads apps specific to that region.

Full screen gesture is too poor when u swipe for home menu and recent app. Auto rotation doesnt work sometimes Specially in gaming and mx player. Automatically it rotates though it is off. Sometimes some softwares crash suddenly Do u face these problems? As per as i know this phone is made only for china There is no official global rom for this phone. Xda forum has a global version 9.5.13.0 for this phone. I dont know what is going on with my phone I m not happy with it

I have this phone one month now and im very excited..espesialy now i got my new update, 9.5.14.0 with battery increasing 8 hours more,and with new futures in camera.camera is awsome,it gets very clean and detail pictures duri ng the day,even the night is very good and espesialy when you use flash.in front camera is very good too,and the flash in front helps you get excellent pics in the dark.very nice and big screen with gorilla,very fast,nice themes,face unlock,finger print unlock,all the time updates,i got already 2,what else do you need.it is my first xiaomi phone,and definately not the last.

Oppo F7 is better in spite of the fact that i own note 5 Al. But oppo F7 is a lot more expensive so i had to buy note 5 AI Besides there is no big difference between those two phones.

I buy this phone 1 month ago and i can say that is almost perfect.camera back is awesome,very clear pictures and during the night too.the front camera its good too but not as the main one. dual flash is very good.screen and touch its nice because of the gorila glass,big screen,nice themes,face unlock and fingerprint only if you choose india area.( live in cyprus)..the only disadvantage i found is the audio of music.scratching a little bit and you have to reduce the volume.it has 64gb rom and 4 g ram .in conclusion is much better than phones like p20 lite,lg q7,huawei mate 10 lite,that are much more expensives than this phone.

One thing about this phone i just dont understand. In order for face id to work you need to set your region to India. Why the hell i need to do that. Why is there a security system in a phone when it's region based. I have pattern to open and cant find a way to make the pattern dots bigger so they would be easier to see on the sun light. Right now i miss few tries to open cause i need to go with the some what location where is that pattern cause i cant see the dots.
