Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 - User Reviews

  • Hi. What's the best gcam apk for redmi note 7. I am using pmgc_7.0.009_finalreleasedversion_V10.apk. I am facing problem. Some time vertical line appears runing horizontally. Results are not as good as stock camera. Kindly tell me what's the best apk and what are the bets settings. Thank You in advance

  • hi, yes it does,

  • Ludacris is a music artist, right? Maybe you wanted to say ridiculous? Also, you said Xiaomi is 10x better than Redmi. But I thought Redmi is a subdivision of Xiaomi? So, it is Xiaomi, right?

  • I can buy Honor 8x or Redmi Note 7 for the same price? What do you think?

  • Don't buy the 3gb ram if you are a pubg game fan because there is no different between ifinix hot 5 on pubg and redmi note 7 The point is 3gb ram version is not for game , YouTube vedio might deceive you , be warned !!!

  • As of buying it, I should warn that the 48MP camera is only active on the Pro mode of the camera app, and yet, such camera doesn't allow zoom. The slo-mo option doesn't bode well with light, probably due to the FPS or camera quality, but emitting light from light bulbs and TV is flickering. Ads on Xiaomi ads are the usual stuff, remember to remove them if they annoy you. The lyrics feature for Mi Music is pretty great, I really needed this from a music app. The organization of apps isn't really great for me, but there may be alternatives. In the lower part of the frame, I was confused of the speakers and microphone position, interesting in design, but confusing in functionality. The case it came with from the box is nice however. Antutu benchmark gave me a score of 169878. The multitasking is pretty nice, coming from an ex- 2GB RAM user. The dark mode doesn't blend perfectly with the Dark mode, Gboard and Discord at times. The Gboard feels small for a user like me with long hands, had to change DPI. Battery cosumption is quite good.

  • redmi note 7 has a lot of bugs

  • Which is the better one, oppo a5s or Redmi note 7? Thanks for the answer

  • anyone get MIUI 11 update for xiaomi redmi note 7 global version Southeastern Europe

  • Nice phone, i own the 4gb variant, been using it for 2 months now, camera is nice, i use it for working, takes clear & detailed shots, i have alot of work related photos & files inside. still gaming wise call of duty & pubg runs smoothly like a breeze, device heats up abit during heavy usage/gaming while charging or under hot weather, but take a 5-10 mins rest after every 45 mins of heavy gaming. It's a nice phone, worth it's value, no complaints at all.

  • Yes it does

  • Does Redmi Note 7 Global support LTE+ or 4G+ network? Thanx for the answer.

  • it has several wifi connection problems :(

  • Not at all.

  • Otg support not provided.

  • Is this phone's screen quality like Huawei P30 lite or not?i compared huawei p30 lite with galaxy a7 2019. p30 lite's ips screen was much better than galaxy a7 amoled display and the colors of p30 lite was much better than a7

  • I'll choose RN7 over a lot of phones, including A50,the GCam possibility and the price make it a better phone overall

  • The Redmi note 7 is a GREAT overall Budget phone. The Camera is amazing if you use GCam. DON'T use the Xiaomi Camera Software - It's awful. The speed for games is good. Playing COD, GFF, Need for Speed, PUBG and many others it runs smoothly. Sometimes if will get warm but that's all. The general performance is great. IT IS NOT WATERPROOF - There's a lot of people on Youtube doing videos saying that it is, but it is not.. AT ALL! The battery is great, I can play continuously for 4+ hours (more or less). If I'm not playing, It will last about 2.5 - 3 days until is fully dead. Considering that ALL smartphones today are made to be recycled and obsolete in a couple of years, this is a wonderful choice. I fully recommend it - I've already purchased 3 for my family.

  • Yes, it's a bug. Restart your phone & try clearing camera app data in apps and see if it works. If that doesn't fix it, you'll need to wait for an update... But it'll probably take a few months to fix it. MIUI phones always have bugs.

  • Which is better, this one or A50?

  • Which is better Redmi note 7 or Mi 8 lite??

  • Redmi note 7 or mi a3?which one has better screen quality and show colors better?

  • Image stabilisation is not working

  • Image stabilization I tried recording a video with & without image stabilization and there is no difference at all for real I downloaded CameraMX and tried the image stabilization and it definitely worked Is this a software issue? Camera software?

  • No, RN7 is just better for camera. It has one of the best cameras in budget phones. It might be due to heavy MIUI but this this phone performance is on par with SD636 phones like Asus Max Pro M1. Max Pro M2 is much better for gaming despite underclocked SD660. Nokia 7 Plus would be perfect if it's in same price. It's my favourite SD660 phone. But for best gaming Experience, I recommend Snapdragon 710+ phones like Realme 3 Pro, Nokia 8.1, Realme X etc. Nokia 8 is most powerful in this price range if you're okay with its battery - which isn't that bad. It has SD 835 and can handle PUBG on Ultra HD. Just don't buy SD 820/821 phones because they heat up and start lagging. Avoid SD665 phones as well as games aren't optimised for it, so they only run on low graphics. But SD675 is fine.

  • So, for gaming it's better Asus than RN7?

  • Gsmarena rules don't allow external links. Try searching this on Google: PMGC_7.0.009_FinalRelesedVersion_V10.apk You can find many others on XDA and YouTube.

  • Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2 has better performance, better battery, more durable built quality, much less compliants about its quality than RN7. But RN7 has much better camera. I will not recommend this phone for any other reason than its camera. Don't be fooled by 18watt charging and Type C. It still takes about same time as 10watt Micro USB phones.

  • Looks good Thank you

  • I got the update but when I couldn't update due to poor Network the update left now I can't get it, I don't know what is the problem

  • Which one is better between Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2 or Xiaomi Redmi Note 7? because I already compared the specs but it's almost the same, so I want to know about user review.

  • I am having serious issues with this phone Redmi note 7 when it comes to making calls I can't hear the person and the camera freezes sometimes and only comes up when I reboot the phone, I don't know whether other people are having this problem too

  • Plz give me a link to install GCam Thnx 😊

  • Any problems with this upgrade (battery drain,camera..etc) ?

  • I don't get what you're trying to say. But for sure, mine is working flawlessly with the update.

  • This what you suggest is ludacris! There is no single company who require from users to update ota updates manually! After Redmi is created we have only probkems! Xiaomi is 10 times better then redmi! Redmi is incapable to make uodates on time! Its one big shame what redmi Xiaomi do to the owners of their phone! This is why I already sold 4/5 xiaomi redmi phones and I ll buy Realme Oppo instead. If we have mess with miui uodate I can imafine what will happen when we should get android 10. No more xiami amateurs!

  • Still not getting MIUI 11 update in my redmi note 7..... When will ? #qatar

  • Use manual method to update to miui 11. Download miui 11 rom and update package in setting

  • No me habre pubg mobile XRN 7 instalo al momento de iniciar secion con facebook sale error de coneccion .AYUDA

  • Yes, I changed many times phone Region to Italy then India than Italy and tried to update, after many tries it worked for me.

  • dont get update to MIUI 11 yet

  • Yes, I changed many times phone Region to Italy then India than Italy and tried to update, after many tries it worked for me.

  • Yes during the night of October the 31st mine got MIUI 11. It works fine. No complaints about it.

  • Yes, I believe so. RN7 has a lot of quality complaints in reviews here. Don't know about MI 8 Lite.

  • Hi anyone get MIUI 11 update for xiaomi redmi note 7

  • Best phone I ever had I'm currently in the USA and only thing I don't like about it is the carrier compatibility for global version. I use it as a WiFi tablet. Just the right specs for me the longest I ever owned a smart phone is this model. I love all the updates I get my old tracphones never got any updates stuck on Android lollipop lol this has gotten a lot of updates on it I'm even running miui 11 global version. I wish they had put a little more into battery compacity for longer battery but otherwise it's good just put in airplane mode with WiFi on it saves battery slot best phone ever the camera is ok

  • But Mi 8 Lite built quality is better. Isn't it?

  • Redmi Note 7. MI 8 Lite has smaller battery and is missing some features that RN7 has, like infrared port, audio jack and radio. However, MI 8 Lite has better selfie camera.

  • Redmi Note 7. Redmi Note 8 has SD665 which is bad for gaming. The camera quality is same but the difference is that RN8 offers ultra wide camera, while RN7 has better Gcam support. RN7 has great cameras thanks to Gcam but I'd suggest checking other phones with SD660, Helio P60, P70 or Kirin 710. MIUI devices have poor performance & battery. Xiaomi's built quality isn't reliable at all.

  • Redmi note 8 and 7 almost have the same price, you should go for rn8 if you want the better specs

  • Hmmm. Simply mi 8 lite maybe similar prices but redmi note 7 is way better. However u can consider between redmi note 7 VS Mi A3

  • When will my global version of redmi note 7 get miui11 in Qatar?

  • Hi please guide which one should I buy Redmi Note 8 or Redmi Note 7?

  • Just received miui 11 update for global version

  • Redmi Note 7 or Mi 8 Lite. Suggestions please.

  • I am from bangladesh.when we have received miui 11..?

  • i just got miui 11 update for globle version on my redmi note 7

  • The new uppgrade is still not coming to Europe,sad...

  • Just chill!

  • I'm pissed! The MIUI11 in global is already rolled out last 2 days but I haven't received the update yet? 😤😤😤

  • I'm from Peru too, no OTA either

  • Peru still does not arrive

  • Does anyone already receive miui 11 on global rom?

  • Global version. MIUI 11 update just showed up.

  • I'm using it and it's a perfect phone, best camera, best battery life and all...

  • Thanks for your suggestion. I will wait a bit for Note 8 reviews and will decide which one to buy.

  • I have this phone from 2 months.. The battery is amazing minimum 18 Hours Every day browsing YouTube, messenger, Instagram, photos etc. I am so happy Because is a good phone. Yes is true this phone Bend easy but you buy for performances not for bending test or like that. I tell you with all My honesty and true this is a very good phone, is soo fast and is a perfect combination procesor Snapdragon 660,gorilla glass 5 and this is all. For 200 euro is a miracle

  • I've watched a video in YouTube that Note 7 will break if you bend it even slightly. I'm not planning to bend it. Just asking any Note 7 user what about it's durability.

  • Which one should I buy? Redmi Note 8 - Redmi Note 7 - Mi 8 Lite - Mi A2? Durability and performance are very important. Suggestions please.

  • Thanks dude. Hope everything will be fine

  • Whats the best cover case for Note 7, the one in the box does not protect camera lens.. Slim case but to protect back camera, is it Nillkin frosted shield, Nillkin nature, or something else? Thank you

  • Yes, Android 10 maybe in december, MIUI 11 for 2-3 days, for Redmi Note Global version

  • will redmi note 7 global version get android 10 europe

  • Thanks. I think it's better to stick with IPS LCD. I will try to find Mi 8 Lite with 6GB ram and 128GB storage. And I don't know if global version has that configuration. Thanks again.

  • Hard reset is solution, thats because od MIUI update (one of the update, from the past), so facrtory reset and will be ok. I eon't have any problem with Note 7, in a day or two MIUI 11 will be also here, so, maybe you wanna to wait day-two, and AFTER you upgrade to 11, then make factory reset (because of the problem you have with your phone).

  • LMAO

  • The build quality is good and okay. If you're worried, it comes with a cover protector.

  • It will eventually burn. That's how LED phones work unfortunately.

  • Can I install MIUI 11 for this phone? Will it work? Is there any problem?

  • Thanks. I've checked Mi 9 Lite already and it is a great phone but it has amoled screen. I'm afraid of amoled burn in issue. I've never used a phone with amoled screen. If I keep brightness 20 - 30 % and keep same wallpaper will it burn in?

  • So your advice is to sell it. But who is gonna buy it without working proprely :(

  • Best ever phone I have used. Good Performance & worth to buy

  • Buy Mi 9 lite or Samsung

  • It won't go. It's big problem of this rubbish phone. I coudn't even use it for 3 days. Even my previous phone was cheap Huawei which had no such problem at all. The phone looks great but believe me you can't fix this problem. I sold it out and bought A30 Samsung which 100 times better than this crap phone. Very disappointed with redmi phones. Never come close to it again.

  • Well till Android 10 it will a while. Anyway i am ordering a pair of wireless earbuds so i can make calls

  • Thanks. I will give e shot

  • I'm facing the same problem. Hope it will be fixed in the next update!(Android 10)

  • Once i had that problem. Dont know how but it seems after shutdown for a while may work for you. It works for me. After shut down i replaced sim with another one and found that sound problem is gone. Then i reset the phone. I think its software problem.

  • The best phone i ever buy. No issue at all.camera using gcam. Nice.

  • Can u get rid of ads on this phone

  • I have hearing problems. I can't hear anything when i am making a call. When i turn on loudspeaker it's normal. But the normal earspeaker doesn't work. It's a software or hardware problem. Does anyone now

  • Does anyone know if it works with U.S. carriers?

  • well few months ago i was searching for a budget phone and had final choose to buy redmi note 7, why? because of the camera and the battery life and the fact its has a snapdragon processor. till now the phone is really amazing, camera is really worth more than prizing. im not a gamer but ive been playing real racing 3 since i bought the phone and no issue all runs well, battery life is good, only cons i have is its heatup a little bit sometimes i did realize it recently, from what i experience i recommend this phone very much :)

  • What about build quality? It's frame is made from plastic. But is it strong one?

  • My new phone...It functions well and smooth. Plays PUBG and Call of Duty flawlessly without issues...heating for gaming hardly noticeable or none at all. Charging is fast too when you're not using the phone at the same time.

  • sadly No.

  • Does this phone have wireless charging

  • and also, N7Plus only have 87h endurance here in GSMA compared to RN7's 108h and RM5 100h

  • are you referring to the RM 5 or the pro version?

  • super phone i like phone and i book phone

  • 1. Battery: Realme 5 has one of the best battery endurance. RN7 has one of the lowest battery endurance I've seen among 4000 mAh battery phones. 2. Display: Realme 5 has HD+ display while RN7 has FHD display. But HD+ is perfectly fine. Everyone that says RM5 display resolution is too low hasn't actually tried it. Period. 3. Durability: Realme 5 doesn't have as good quality as other Realme phones, but its quality is better than RN7. RN7 has one of the highest number of problems I've seen. 4. Camera: RN7 has much better camera and it's the best thing about it. Both RN7 & RM5 have Camera 2API enabled, but RN7 has developers specifically working on Gcam for it. 5. Performance: Avoid all SD 665 phones like Realme 5, especially if you play games. Right now, their performance is comparable to SD 450 & SD 625. SD 660 is much better, but RN7 has the lowest performance out of all SD 660 phones I know, most likely because of heavy MIUI. Flashing a stock or custom ROM might fix it. Conclusion: RN7 is better except for battery and durability. But I'd suggest looking for other phones... Nokia 7 Plus is priced same as RN7 & Mi A2 where I live and it's the best SD 660 phone I know of, with better cameras, durability, performance, battery endurance and features.

  • My newest phone so far, although I might buy the Mi 9 SE too. This one is a mid range phone trying to be a flagship for the price, amazing. Cheap, great camera, great performance, great speed, great screen, reading mode and the colors, battery life. I got mine pretty cheap from an authorized re-seller aka shop plus I got JBL headphones with it. Costed me around 200e if not less. I am absolutely satisfied. Great upgrade from my horrible Huawei Y5II.

  • Nope. If you play games, SD 665 is the worst chipset you can buy in this price atm. You're better off with SD 636 than SD 665. Look it up.

  • In my experience of using the redmi note 7... Its just great for my gaming needs n its kinda last up to 2 days of battery life if you're a light user but you will need to charge it 2 times a day within a full gaming until the battery died.... My suggestion is targeted to who likes to gaming n not for social media... Okey guys!

  • Metal. Check again yourself.

  • Mi 8 lite has plastic frame

  • is it better than redmi 7

  • Thanks again.

  • global version of this phone will get android 10

  • sorry, i don't know much about this but i am using redmi note 7 and i love miui, is it easy to use? I would say yes, but i think that it's subjective.

  • Imo Redmi note 7 is the better phone. Realme 5 has a poor resolution for such a big screen, slower charging, no USB-C port, no ir blaster and imo has a quiter loudspeaker, while the camera setup and bigger battery are a plus for the Realme phone for sure. The procesors are very similar and you wont see big difference between them outside synthetic benchmarks. For me, however, having a 720p screen and no USB-C are a big no no for 2019 standards. Also as far as i know, Realme 5 is more expensive than Redmi note 7(even than the global Redmi note 7 with the 48 mpx camera unit). All in all, the Redmi phone is a better option.

  • Ignore both and go for Mi 8 Lite. It is faster. It has metal frame and looks cool. Only battery life is short compared by Note 7.

  • anyone who told you redmi note 8's processor is worse than redmi note 7 is a big fat liar. The Snapdragon 665 in RM 8 performs slightly better and more efficient compared to Snapdragon 660 in RM 7. Thanks to the 11nm processor size in 665 which allows it to consume less power.

  • Hi please guide which one should I buy Redmi Note 8 or Redmi Note 7. I hear Redmi Note 7 Processor performs better than Redmi Note 8's Processor.

  • Should I upgrade to the note 8 ??

  • I brought new redmi note 7s after 2 months use phone unpredictably shut down there is warranty of 6 month only charge rs.4000/-

  • Aside the camera there is no much difference

  • yes, this phone will feature miui 11, and android 10

  • go for mi note 8

  • Thanks. One more question. Which is better android one or MIUI? Is MIUI stable and easy to use? Can I disable ads in global version?

  • I buy a new phone Xiaomi redmi note 7 only 18000/-. This phones good result only 2 month. Back camera and Battery life is very good. so I request for you that Note 7 buy and Life is best choice or first life.😍😘😊

  • Its Android 10 upgradeable ????

  • hey guys can you differentiate the realme 5 and rn7? i'm planning to buy one. I heard that realme 5 is better cause it has better battery and camera while its benchmark scores were just lower for about 3k points so it doesn't really matter. can you convince me to buy rn7 cause they really rival on my thoughts on what to buy having the same price.

  • I would say mi 8 lite, it has aluminium frame and redmi note 7 has plastic frame, all three have snapdragon 660 so performance should be the same. My suggestion is to do a little research on the internet and then decide by yourself.

  • Technically, what actually the difference between 48 mp of redmi note 7 and 48 mp of redmi note 8 sensors; on paper specification they exactly the same? I need some serious guidance from gsmarena team thoroughly.

  • Which Xiaomi phone should I buy? Redmi Note 7 or Mi 8 Lite or Mi A2? Camera and battery life aren't important. Performance and durability are very important. Suggestions please.

  • Wow that's awesome (kind of). Probably the Nokia 7 plus is really cheap or Redmi note 7 is really expensive in your country.

  • Just google to see a much detailed comparison. USB type C is much better compared to micro USB due to much higher data transfer speed and even durability is high due to the symmetrical shape.

  • Redmi note7 is a great phone. With zero wahala...

  • Unlucky... RN7, Mi A2 and Nokia 7 Plus were priced about same till last week where I live. They decreased its price in last few days.

  • Nokia 7 Plus is much cheaper than A2 now. At least where I live. Previously, it was priced same as MI A2. Nokia 7 Plus has better battery, built quality, SD card slot and cameras. It's also designed better. First time I used it, it looked like it had notchless/full screen display like Huawei Y9 Prime 2019.

  • Install Google Camera. It'll significantly improve your camera performance. Try searching for this version: trCamera_REBORN.apk

  • MI A2 is nice but Nokia 7 Plus is better in every way. It has LVL 3 Gcam compatibility from what I know and there's a popular modder (black.rider) actively working on Gcams specifically for Nokia 7 Plus.

  • Does anyone notice that its camera gives SKEWED photos.... The frame of the photo looks stretched spherically... (and i am not talking about the panoramic mode...) If that’s a general issue, can anybody give me directions to fix this through settings, iso, and stuff?

  • But why pay more? Chipset is same.

  • Nokia 7 plus

  • Type C is better since it can be plugged on both side.

  • Nokia 7 Plus or Xiaomi Mi A2?

  • Same prblm here

  • Hey guys,which phone is better,redmi note 8 or redmi note 7?

  • Micro usb vs usb c which one is better? Please replay .

  • damn, nokia 7 plus in my country cost 12k while rn7 is 7k

  • I don't know what to buy between realme 5 and redmi note 7. In games, i just play mobile legends and cod mobile. I really wouldn't mind if my graphic settings is in low as long as i can play perfectly. Could you help me out in choosing the better phone for my case? PS: in camera, i think both of them do well so i don't know what to choose. Thanks a lot!

  • Perhaps, but Nokia 7+ is 75% more expensive than Note7 in my country, so thanks, but no :)

  • 1. RN7 performance and battery is among lowest of all Snapdragon 660 phones, but that can by fixed by installing Stock/Custom ROMs. 2. Camera suffers in low light and has inaccurate colours due to over saturation, but Gcam will fix everything. 3. What can't be fixed is its quality issues... It's the most detective phone I know of. Don't trust YouTubers too much. Most of them are biased and mislead people too often. You can confirm about performance, battery and quality issues by reading reviews here. My advice: Go for Nokia 7 Plus. It has much better camera, performance, battery, OS, quality and Pixel 4 Gcam works perfectly on it. Its price just dropped and is 20-30% cheaper than RN7 where I live.

  • Generally nice phone. The camera is absolutely stunning!! Noticed a screen glich untill I locked and unlocked again. Anyone experienced that?

  • Im using MI note 7 Pro since few months. The problem of my phone is that the network automatically goes and comes only when I reboot my phone. This happens frequently and sometimes more than 10times a day .. worst experience .

  • Something is wrong with keyboard latency on edges in this phone. Has anyone expirienced the same problem?

  • Honestly bro I know its not really a good comparison but Ive been using a Huawei Y5II since 2016 since it came out, and it was a decent phone and I managed to buy myself the Redmi Note 7. Its fantastic. You should definitely go with Xiaomi. Both Huawei and Xiaomi are great of course but this one is just unbelievable (I am blown away by the audio quality.. so far!)

  • i dont know what to buy, redmi note 7 or Huawei y9 prime the y9 has a large and wide screen and im kind of a youtube guy so i watch many videos but the rn7 has better cameras and preformance. if somone used both or one of them please tell me so i can decide.

  • Xiaomi redmi note 7 is not good for you whom you are like playing game, May be you can other option. Thank you.

  • Y9 Prime 2019 for sure.

  • Thanks. Definitely getting it now

  • Xiaomi Mi A2 is made from metal but it is thin and Note 7 is made from plastic but it is thick. Which one is stronger? Please help. Can't decide which one to buy.

  • Just get a redmi note 7 bro you won't regret

  • Hey guys. Need a phone like right now but can't decide between the redmi note 7 and the Huawei y9 prime 2019. A little help please? Esp if you've used both phones. I'm not a really heeeavy user

  • How to setting redmi note 7 in multi touch . Bcs my redmi note 7 just work in 2 touch

  • I recently bought this phone and brought it to a concert last weekend. The audio came out distorted and it is not what I expected. I thought it was only for a clip and I just accidentally covered the mic but all of the clip audio were distorted. Can someone bring this up to the designer/developer or whoever is in charge of designing these phones to take this in consideration? In filming in a loud space/crowd.

  • RN7 has better camera while RM5 has wide angle camera. RN7 has a lot of complaints while RM5 has more durable quality but parts are loosely fit (lower water resistance). RN7 has SD 660 which is better than SD 665 of Realme 5, but both phones have bad performance for games. Still RN7 is better - if I must compare. RN7 has battery problem while RM5 has one of the best battery endurance among all android phones of 2018 & 2019. RN7 has MIUI which is heavy, battery draining, shows ads but is more customisable. RM5 has Color OS which offers better performance, battery and system tweaks. RN7 has FHD display while RM5 has HD+ display, but HD+ is good enough. RN7 has Infrared Port.

  • Go to : Settings > Advanced Settings > Developer Options Scroll down to "Force GPU rendering" and enable that option. This will fix scrolling lag on all apps, but will consume more power ! (To enable Developer Options, go to About Phone : tap 7 times to Build Number)

  • Google it

  • I noticed some lag when i scrolled through some app like twitter, chrome etc...does anyone know the solution to fix this problem?

  • can you compare realme 5 and rn7?

  • When i scroll through app like twitter, instagram, chrome and yt..i noticed some lag while scrolling..is it software or hardware problem??Does anyone know the solution?Thank u

  • With custom ROM, yeah, I think RN7 performance and battery might improve - but not too sure about heating. Some developers are specifically working on Gcam for RN7, so I believe it can be a solid phone other than its quality. I haven't checked which custom ROMs are available for Realme phones so I can't say anything about it, but there isn't much need for custom ROM. Color OS is a bit disorganised but it lets you tweak a lot of settings without root. My Realme 3 loses 0% battery overnight (or 0-1%) and plays PUBG smoothly on HD with Shadows and Anti Aliasing enabled. And that's with Power Saver mode in Game Space and general. The battery lasts 7+ hours on these graphics and 9+ hours on minimum graphics using GFX Tool. I like its display as well because I've no trouble playing PUBG despite sitting under Sun at 12:00 - 01:00 PM. That's very rare. Realme phones will switch to Realme OS, which they claim will be less heavier and battery draining than Color OS so I'm looking forward to that.

  • You aren't lucky or you've got faulty unit.

  • Which one is better RN7 or Samsunga30?

  • This phone has come out with Android Pie 9. I have done reset and nothing is better. Touch is kinda slow, and battery is pathetic.

  • Have you done factory reset after updating to android 9? Backup your data and do it when you're not busy. Because you need to tweak all settings as you like.

  • I have lag issue on my Redmi Note 7. When I press something, it takes little to load. Hace anyone else that issue? My system version is 10.3.10.

  • overnyt 3 to 5% battery

  • Hi please anyone has the link to download Google camera for Redmi note 7? Please urgentl

  • Hi, anyone have the same problem of baterry? its just decrease fast, in 10 minutes 5 % without using it

  • Link for download and i cant make it run Help me

  • I read somewhere that Realme doesn't have a lot of things to tweak (like custom rom, etc.) and I don't really like it. Unlike previous Xiaomi, llke my current phone R4A that have a lot of customization. Maybe RN7 is better if I tweak it than Realme?

  • yes, there will be ads, but you can disable them

  • Yea but its decent budget phone.

  • Yes. You will have. I had them also but there are a lot of videos on youtube how to remove them(or at least make them appear less).

  • I've watched it. Thanks. And I will use MIUI first time. If I buy global version will it have ads or not?

  • check the video of it by "JerryRigEverything" : It's durable enough but not great.

  • It is built by plastic but looks fine.I am using onyx black colour. And its plastic frame is not very strong.I recomended you to use Xiaomi CASE/back cover with it....

  • It does support the Fortnite game but in a low frame per rate , that means will lag

  • Thanks. Also what about build quality? Is it durable? Is plastic frame strong one?

  • No! it does not support fortnite...

  • does this phone support fortnite

  • great phone,unbeatable price

  • Redmi note 7 is better

  • I am using RN7 from 2months.I have no complain about lagging when simple tasks on it and its user interface is super smooth then previeus Xiaomi phones. And this phone is also good for high end gaming like pubg and asphalt 9.It plays pubg smoothly on medium/lower graphics.I recomended you to buy this phone....Trust me....

  • Own 2 of them. Intermediate. Works OK overall. One huge flaw is the microphone... Volume not good enough, so you use a speaker. Noise cancellation does not work well when using speaker. Your voice keeps fluctuating going up and down and disappearing. People on the other end of the line can't hear what you say. I am very disappointed. Well, you get what you pay for.

  • Thanks for your quick reply. Camera isn't important for me. But performance is more important. I think Redmi Note 7 is better for me. Also its design is more beautiful. Will it lag when doing simple tasks and navigating in user interface and settings?

  • RN7 has better performance and camera, especially with Gcam. But it has a lot of complaints. Its battery is also disappointing and performance is not what you'd expect of a SD 660 phone. Realme 5 has nothing good to offer other than battery. Avoid all SD 665 phones if you want to play games. Realme 3 lacks Eis but otherwise it's better than Realme 5 in every way. It's also better than RN7 in terms of battery, performance and quality, but installing Gcam is a must for camera performance. What are your other options?

  • Thanks for reply... the Redmi Note 8 Has not Available in my country.I am still waiting Redmi note 8....

  • Which one I should choose, Realme 5 or RN7? I'm confused!

  • If you want better gaming performance then go for Redmi note 7/7s because SD665 is not powerful chipset then SD665 and Adreno 512 is slighty more powerful then Adreno 610.Or If you want better camera setup wait for Redmi note 8....

  • cheap is 7 the 8 will be more expensive if you have time I would wait and see what happens

  • It's really good at gaming, I can play PUBG mobile on high settings just fine. As for the camera, the primary one is insanely good, the front camera isn't the best but it's alright. I'd recommend going for the note 8 though, it should be slightly better when it comes to the cameras AND the performance since it has the snapdragon 665.

  • Should I buy Redmi Note 7 now or wait for Redmi Note 8? Reply fast.

  • I hope you are enjoying with Redmi note 7.I want to buy this phone so pls tell me your experience about gaming and photography???

  • Which language are you written in the comment???

  • It you want best possible camera phone in budget range then go for MI A3, or if you like gaming and genaral photography then go for Redmi Note 7.

  • Please suggest me which Xiaomi phone to buy. Redmi Note 7 or Mi A2 or Mi A3 or Mi 8 Lite. Thanks.

  • Best mid range phone. Rocking my RN7. 6months no complain

  • Okay, so I have had this phone for two months now and I am extremely satisfied with it. But just to clarify, I don't consider myself a very demanding user, I don't play games and I don't have many space consuming apps (only four or five). The first thing I wanted to point out is the camera. It's actually pretty great, I read before buying it that those aren't 48 mps you would expect from Sony, but still, the photos are super clear, the camera gives a little bit of natural retouch and it's pretty good in darker spaces. The phone itself is pretty fast and I haven't had any app crashes in the two months of using it. Okay so there are only three things I would make better: Facebook messenger bubble that doesn't appear, the option to see all the pictures and not only by categories and the video shooting. When you go to the video camera mode, and just for the normal one, the camera gets kind of blurry. But all in all, for the price that I paid, the phone is fantastic and I will definitely consider Xiaomi for my next phone too.

  • Clean it , or maybe its your finger damaged by work!

  • Use this

  • I'm using this phone. It's fingerprint is very fast and working without any problem!

  • After reboot, for the first time you want to login, you have to use your pass code or pattern. After that, finger print sensor works normally.

  • Hi, anyone have the same problem of baterry? its just decrease fast, in 10 minutes 5 % without using it

  • it has sd slot up to 256 gb,buy one and expand your memory

  • It seems you have put incorrect details internal storage is 128 and not 16 GB

  • anybody facing problems with fingerprint scanner. at times it just does not recognise my finger

  • Buy a micro sd

  • My Xiaomi redmi note 7 is 16GB internal storage..and it very poor..I want to increase it

  • A (roughly) 24 mm equivalent lens is considered to be a wide-angle camera. As the Redmi Note 7 has indeed this type of lens, the usage of 'wide' is correct.

  • I am enjoying my Redmi Note 7...4GB Ram...128GB Inbuilt here in my Country Nigeria

  • This phone doesn't have (wide) camera so please fix it.

  • This phone or Mi A2?

  • Great phone. Very satisfied

  • yes guys, this phone has 2 led notification

  • Thanks a lot.Now I am going to buy Redmi note 7s astro white colour....

  • I got the global version and it got ads

  • 6.3 48mp 4000mah

  • Xiaomi Redmi phones global version for many countries do not have ads.

  • If I were you, I will buy Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 or Note 7 Pro. Or you can wait for the Note 8 Pro. Xiaomi Redmi hardware specification is better, internet speed faster and MIUI also smoother.

  • Yes you can

  • Ever had the a50 or used it for that matter.

  • Hey also i hear about ads. Is it true on the global version? Is there any way to remove the ads?

  • Should i buy this phone? The specs are excellent should i switch from j3 2017 to this? Has it any errors and hows the battery camera and are thrre monthly updates? ☺️☺&iuml;¸

  • Realme 5 is the best Smartphone competitive to Redmi 7s Stunning camera Go for Realme brand

  • very poor local radio reception in Hong kong.

  • I like Redmi note 7/7s Astro White colour.. Can i buy Redmi note 7/7s over Realme 5???I like gaming and photography. Can i buy Redmi note 7s with dual camera or Realme 5 with QUAD camera???And last question is,Redmi note 7s or Realme 5 which will give me best possible Value for money??? please Suggest anyone.....

  • Will be joining the Mi family soon

  • I wet my phone with a cup of tea - left it on the window - and 10 minutes later, it worked ... no issues. Love my RedMi

  • I'm really a fan of this Redmi Phones since I got my very first Redmi 2 then. I am using Redmi 4x currently and also currently waiting for my order of Redmi Note 7. Does anyone here can help me how many available RAM and ROM left with a newly bought 4gb/128gb?

  • yes it is 64bit

  • Is this phone 64bit? cause apps are converting to 64bit in 2yrs

  • @Gino76ph: Sorry for a little bit of disgust here. I have the previously hype version which is Redmi Note 5, it has accidentally immersed into a toilet. Thankfully it already flushed, so just clean water, but still, it almost submerged. And it still works fine. I know maybe it's not relevant to your question about the Redmi Note 7, but maybe it can be a general reference for the Xiaomi phone (from my experience of course).

  • As for me, I really trust xiaomi product. Im samsung, asus user before and after I got my 1st xiaomi phone I stuck with it. And its also the best budget phone ever since Im a student. I hope my new RN7 be well with me.

  • HIya. IS the phone actually splash resistant? IS it safe in light rain or accidental spills? I have not had a single Xiaomi phone. I would like to know about updates if they are timely and quick enough i.e. monthly security updates and not having wait for 6 months before a major Android OS update. Please advice.

  • Best budget phone ever.

  • Redmi note 7 uses mostly plastic with a little bit of metal in their frame so dont expect it to endure some medium pressures/weights

  • Sent all the Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 to the service center immediately. Anyway my Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 global version from Malaysia do not have such problem.

  • Xiaomi Redmi is a trusted brand company. Even SAMSUNG and Apple will bend also if you are using the phone in a wrong way. Do not simply blame a company for the fault that make by yourself.

  • You broke your phone and than blame the company?

  • I'm planning to buy this phone with 3/32 gb version. Anybody know how much memory available for us to use ? Like when you buy 2/16 gb you only able to use 700mb ram and 10 gb rom

  • The phone I received and Wi-Fi connection issues and would constantly drop, all of my other devices like my Samsung Galaxy s9 and oneplus 7 has no issues what so ever. It turns out I'm not the only one having issues with the Redmi Note 7, but quite a handful of people are.

  • Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 is better.

  • In my opinion, Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 is better than SAMSUNG Galaxy A50.

  • this is the phone i picked up because i trusted Mi but Mi cheated on me. i was so excited when i saw the futures of this phone. then four months after i bought this phone, that this phone was now bend and its not working as a speaker. it is Mi note 7 .. if you see this, you sure don't want to belive this Mi... SHAME ON YOU..

  • This or Samsung m20?

  • What is the best router wireless mode setting for note 7 (11bgn mixed/11bgmixed)

  • Why my camera during videochat is so dim and blurred?anyone can help me how to fix this problem?

  • How can I be sure on the specific LTE band support in the model I can buy locally? M1901F7GN-64

  • No it does not, it comes with a 10W charger, you will have to buy a 18W charger

  • Redmi note 7 or samsung A50 in camaras and build quality????

  • 1.3gb of 3gb available

  • Realme 5 and 5 Pro are bad. Go for Realme 3 Pro or X. Or if you want cheaper, go for Realme 2 Pro or 3.

  • Does have out of box 18W quick 4.0 for redmi note 7?

  • Anybody who buys Redmi Note 7 with 3gb/32gb. How many you rams left (without background or active memories and how many your roms left (after you update the MIUI without any apps, pure straight from the box)

  • Bought a redmi note 7 for my sister and finished setting up the device. Software is really(surprisingly) smooth. Animations are pretty much 60fps. Gotta say this is (in my opinion) the best bang for buck smartphone in the price segment. Costing only 170 Euros, it's even better than some relatively expensive rivals from huawei and samsung. Excellent phone overoll.

  • Made in China, by Xiaomi.

  • For me, Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 is better and MIUI global version for Malaysia do not have ads.

  • In my opinion, Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 is better than SAMSUNG Galaxy A50 especially the MIUI is smooth like butter.

  • Only 13mp selfi enough

  • Samsung A50 or redmo note 7

  • Where made in country

  • This or Realme 5?

  • I think your missing the point. Both Samsung a50 and MI9T are double the price thus qualifying them for mid range phones not budget phones. For budget this has really great specs

  • yes

  • Samsung is better, amoled screen, wide angle camera. MI9T is the best from those 3

  • Is redmi note 7 better than a50??

  • Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 or Note 7 Pro is better than SAMSUNG Galaxy A50.

  • Yes my Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 has good signal.

  • Both phones have lots of quality complaints. A50 is better for gaming (PUBG on HDR with 40+ FPS) RN7 is better for cameras and everything else.

  • Don't buy any Samsung device other than S8 and onwards. Or if you must, only buy M40 and A70 onwards. Believe me, rest are very poor! I wouldn't even recommend A50 over RN7. RN7 is better. It has much better cameras but it's not a good phone either. The camera loses colour accuracy in low light, you'll have to play PUBG on low graphics, battery back up is very poor (4ish hours in PUBG), lots of quality complaints, including heating while gaming.

  • Buying one of these phones is not a good idea. Redmi note 8 and samsung a20s will be released soon.

  • Which one is better for camera, battery and pubg........ Samsung A20 or Redmi note 7 ??

  • Yes that's a great idea to switch your phone to a redmi note 7. Smooth in performance. If u know how to take a good pictuers than this phone is a great chance. You capn enjoy dozens of themes by inbuilt app. My previous phone was a MI A1 which has 4gb of ram. Some games is bit laggy at that divide. But after switching into note 7 . I enjoy the smooth performance at high grapichs.. :) so it's a great choice Thank you

  • from Redmi Note 6 pro to Redmi Note 7 and I love my new phone blue color is a magical and makes look really special , and performance is better than Note 6 paid 178 Euros for 32 gb and I m not regret that .

  • I am struggling between Note7 and Samsung a50, could you please advise?

  • Does the signal capturing good??

  • Xiaomi Redmi Note 7

  • Hi, can I ask which specific Redmi model you are referring to?

  • good one

  • Camera rn7 way more better

  • Camera and performance redmi note 7. Samsung a30 is only better with amoled display

  • I bought this phone for a couple of months now here on phil. its true that there is a heat issue but rarely if you use this phone a long period of time. BUT I can recommend this phone for playing games and camera as well. and good thing about this phone there is always update to improve more. & its affordable :)

  • for camera go for a30 for processor and performance note 7

  • Nope he means smoth ui,good quality big battery, stable updates and great camera

  • It's only one..the other is microphone

  • Alright, I get it now... thanks

  • hi samsung A30 or Xiaomi Redmi Note 7??

  • Too much hype with the redmi phones in the subcontinent. I fell for it. Average battery life, average screen quality and many bugs. Bad for video calling. I am utterly disappointed with this buy. Not buying a redmi phone ever

  • No gps signal after recent update! Redmi is weak on software!

  • You mean laggy UI, poor quality, poor battery, bugs in updates and average camera.

  • First time Xiaomi user and I hate two main things about this phone: the camera and the UI. - I really don't like the interface. It's not useful at all compared to Samsung's UI. Complicated, gives you a lot of options at points where you don't really need to. - People are constantly talking about the camera and how it performs but even though it's "48MP" sensor, it's a bad one, Samsung GM1. I've tested it with different apps and the default noise reduction lowers the quality too much yet without it, there is a lot of grain even with the lowest ISO, which is a mere 100 when Samsung goes as low as 40 when possible so even in daylight, especially in daylight dare say, the image quality is really bad. The more light the worse. Not the mention the colour accuracy, although that's an issue with most Chinese phones as far as I've seen. Only winning point of the camera is the ability to shoot it really low light. Do I recommend this phone? If the camera isn't that important to you then yes. I just don't like the MIUI but it's alright for a normal user. But if your main focus is camera, like me, just avoid this phone, it'll destroy your naive dreams.

  • You can switch to this phone but get the 4gb ram

  • I usually only use to chat, watching youtube or some social apps, and I used to video call and play brawl stars at the same time every night, is it RN7 enough for me? I'm going to switch it from P10, because I found out that my p10 is lagging sometimes, especially using video call, should I switch?

  • Yes its smooth and fast good for piece of paper also camera is good.

  • Definitely Redmi Note 7 instead of Nokia 6.1

  • Redmi note 7 has only one speaker check reviews in youtube dude

  • It has only one speaker it's the right one. The one in the left is a microphone.

  • Please how can I resolve the issue of my speaker in Redmi note 7, only one is playing, I just want to hear the two playing. Answer please.

  • Xiaomi Redmi Note 7, for faster internet speed, better display and smoother UI.

  • OMG the specs is AWESOME! The battery is powerful & long lasting too! Can't wait to get mine!

  • hi nokia 6.1 or Xiaomi redmi note 7 ? any advice ?

  • Xiaomi Note 7 kicks ass, Samsung is just a brand but their phones in this price level is a piece of pooh! It got blown out of the water.

  • I'm planning to buy the note 7 is a good overall phone

  • Great phone! Surpassed my expectations. Good price for an excellent phone. Good screen quality, clean OS, fast, long life battery, very customizable and good camera quality. iPhones never again! Samsung is just garbage close to it. 9.8/10

  • Got one for myself. Great photo...👍

  • One problem from this phone: Front Camera (lag/delay). Even if you use GCAM.

  • Why city Yerevan is missing in city list???????

  • please how can install gcam in my phone rn7 because not work?! thank you

  • I start to have the Note 3, After the Note 4 & now almost 6 month later i have the Note7.My opinion even if u give 300Euros or Dollars the Note 7 IS THE BEST MOBIL OUT THERE,For this price u can't have beter fon.....(imagin the pro version)Huavei & Samsung with the a30 a40 a50 be ware..)

  • My previous phone was honor 8 lite and mobile legends run normaly. So with this there shouldnt be problems.

  • depends on what you need. are you using it for PUBG gaming/mobile legends? if so, i would recommend the RN7PRO, but if you're ok with low graphics, this RN7 can still run with smooth 50~60 fps.

  • you will not receive ads while in game, dont worry. the ads you see in game are dependent on the game app itself. games like PUBG and Mobile legends will not have any ads. their ads only appear when u go to their cleaner app, or when the scanner scans your freshly downloaded app. and also their ads are just a small link, it does not require you to wait for like 5 or 30 seconds for the ad to disappear.

  • There camera is so laggy.this phone beholds lag problem

  • Please i have never used an xiaomi phone before though i want to buy one but am scared of the ads stuff i game alot and i don't like it wen i get constant pop with ads while gaming. Please someone should explain to me how their ads works

  • are you seroius? You want to compare sound quality of RN7 with Premium Samsungs hehehe you are funny indeed, comparing $199 dlls phone against $800 and want the same sound quality

  • After all of that, I need someone who used this device for a long time to answer me, In this price, is the Note 7 the best or there is a better choice ?

  • You can use this code to force select 4g lte *#*#4636#*#*

  • Lol it's a great phone!

  • Why in some models the notification ld is up to the right & in sime down in the center.Isee so many videos & temperes grass with the for the led up in some...

  • Problems: 1. Despite Type C and 18 watt charging, it takes same time to charge as phones with Micro USB 10 watt charging. Between 2-2.5 hours. 2. Performance is not up to mark. Other Snapdragon 660 phone handle PUBG on high graphics but you've to play on low graphics on this phone. 3. Battery endurance is bad in heavy usage. It lasts around 4 hours 30 minutes in PUBG. And heats up a lot after 1-2 hours of heavy usage. 4. Camera is ok-ish. It performs well in good daylight and records nice videos but shadows are too dark. You can't what's in them. I think it's called dynamic range. - Secondly, as light drops to moderate lighting, it loses its colour accuracy by a lot and poor dynamic range is more visible. - Thirdly, edge detection in portraits is a hit and miss. It doesn't take good portraits and you've to take multiple of them. 5. It has quality issues other than heating. There is a audio problem in it when you lower and increase volume. A weird noise also comes from within its body. I've seen many other people mention this same problem here. Pros: 1. It feels nice in hand due to glass back. 2. The built quality is good from the outside.

  • The phone is very good. POSITIVES: -price very low -Very good quality, feels like premium -very nice design and colours -the display was so good and bright, i could not sense a difference between it and amoled. -very good performance -very good battery life and fast charger -has audio jack -the wifi signal reception is incredible CONS: -camera is good, especially for this price. ( but was not high enough for my exectations) -audio was good and clear, but not so loud as a samsung or a premium phone -the size is big (bur for me phablets are incomfortable to use) -the audio jack is above, and not down as these days phones - -not water resistant---although its splash proof.

  • Conference call not working

  • Great phone recommended for those on a tight budget to get this phone

  • I bought this device about 2 weeks ago and it's not a good phone. When you are try to make video call from any application like Whatsapp, IMO, BOTIM & Messenger the front camera is like totally dead its like 2mp camera the very worst camera quality I have not ever seen before. Its finger print security is faster than face reader security. it takes a few seconds to unlock.. When you are using this phone you don’t get any notification on the screen it is automatically hide in back you have to scroll the screen from top and see what notification came to your phone. The camera shown its 48mp but actually its not 48mp. The picture quality is not so good like 48mp.

  • Nothing encountered yet

  • Anyone else has issues with unlocked global version, in regards to signal strength? I'm having a terrible time with this, only in my home does it actually get LTE, anywhere else it's slower than dial up.

  • Why in some models the notification led is up left & in some down almost in the center?I see so many videos & i don't now why.I;m from Greece meaby is beucose the cuntry any opinions?

  • Redmi Note 7 is amazing, feels fast, has a big battery and when you install GCam the camera is nearly like a flagship.

  • Just buy 18W adapter and usb cable...

  • I'm fully charge within 2 hours maybe that's normal on my Redmi Note 7.

  • I bought this device about 2 weeks ago and overall it's a really solid phone. However the charging speeds are quite slow. Does anyone have any quick charge recomendations? Thank you.

  • I have 24 hours with redmi note 7! i don't see like a bad cell phone i have been using the internet i think 1,5 or 2 hours i have been talking for about 2 hours and lost 52% battery... the camera I doesn't think it's 48 but for $ 220 one should not expect the miracle! camera is normal make good photo. no echoes like I read through posts. even with video call i was talking is normal.it is not very practical because it is a heavy weight...facial recognition is faster than fingerprinting .for the gaming part I don't know how functional it is? design if it would be 5.5 better but also how it is is fine .. i don't know after a few days whether it will be ok or not

  • Did you use pro mode on the camera?

  • Mi Note 7

  • i brought one week back redmi note 7s , the mobile is getting switch off randomly though charging is around 80% and also it is getting hanged let me know what may be the problem

  • Hello Friends, which phone is best Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 or Samsung A30 kindly advise.

  • Better buy samsung i just buy redmi note 7 and the camera when u videocalling is real sucks i hope they can fixed it if its just only on the settings 😣😣😣

  • Mic channeling is the problem

  • I own A xiaomi Redmi note 7 the camera is great and the performance the only problem is though it's LTE but my network doesn't recognize it.

  • Best phone

  • Samsung A70 have better performance, but redmi note 7 is ok, and for so much less. So you have to make a choice. More money or more power in your packet after the buy.

  • Im glad you noticed my comment I've been posting this a couple of times i thought im the only one who knows that problem

  • what's wrong with this phone? whether it is some program failure or something else?

  • any advice which is better redmi note 7 or samsung galaxy A7? the performance? i need to buy next week..thank you.

  • Me too, thanks for comment I want to buy that and my redmi3 lasted 3 years. A few issues with find signal when changing countries and a bad front camera (from day 1) with very low lighting. But stable phone nice features great duration for great price.

  • what's wrong with this phone? whether it is some program failure or something else

  • Nokia 8 outperforms pocophone f1?

  • Install gcam

  • Very correct, all phones has their pros and cons, even apple phones, so do your research on the phone that's within your budget and after you buy don't complain.

  • Yes ofcourse. I use flash drives, keyboard and mouse in it regularly.

  • Nah get mi 9t

  • lol it's still not fixed? A lot of users have been reporting this problem for months now. I don't use this device anymore lmao

  • You speak the truth my man. But A30 doesn't offer much. Not sure if you've Realme, Huawei and Nokia there but you can get better phones. They all cost similar where I live: Nokia 8.1, Realme 3 Pro, Nokia 7 Plus, Huawei Y9 Prime 2019 or if you want a gaming beast, get Nokia 8 which outperforms Pocofone F1.

  • nope

  • My Redmi note 7 has problems with video quality. How can I solve this problem?

  • go for it, bang for buck

  • good price, bad phone.

  • It's not bug it's feature

  • I want to buy the note 7 next month, any advices ?

  • There is some issue in Redmi Note 7 like connectivity problem and while i play game, mobile going switch off automatically.

  • Ive used redmi phone for years..for me redmi note 7 is the best experience phone use.keep the nice job xiaomi.

  • the corning gorilla glass 5 not that hard .. my redmi note 7 fall from my pocket less than a meter away from the ground..and the front glass corning gorilla glass5 crack even with screen protector .. very disapointed ..sad. this is true story .

  • My Redmi note 7 has problems with quality. How can I solve this problem?

  • Hi, does this phone support otg, its very important for me to reply.

  • I use this phone in my daily life, the battery lasts for two days with mid to bleow mid usage, with high temperatures and cool places, I haven't found any issue with reception or hate up, I can't deny that the phone needs little software optimization and that's it...

  • A30 is worse at receiving signals

  • What are ypu talking about?

  • Not good in the games 😒

  • Do not buy this crap!Selfies pictures colors are bad , somefeaturrs of phone are messed up and the worstoart is a sensor:it dials otger numbers and opends windows while you are talking with somebody!Eaven if you change sensor settings, still it does that.

  • Wrong

  • The phone you have is Redmi 7, not Redmi Note 7

  • very funny, i believe any phone will heat up in Kuwait

  • Boss, are you aware you can put a different launcher on there? Its not like an iphone where you're extremely restricted.

  • Please Install Poco launcher, and simply enjoy the device. Thanks

  • I am from sri lanka. I previously used Galaxy A5 2017 and then I bought Redmi Note 7. Redmi Note 7 is not worth the money. This phone needs much signals for the calls to be clear and internet to function well. But my previous Galaxy A5 2017 is more powerful than this. This is my true experience having used these two phones. Redmi Note 7 has 48MP camera but I don't think it takes excellent photographs. Its camera is good but not excellent. If anyone targets to buy this phone, I must advise you that you must be very carefull.. Now I am using Galaxy A30 which is a much better phone than Redmi Note 7. If you are saying Redmi Note 7 is good, think you have seen the phone only in its paper specifications and not by real hands-on experience. My final advise...if you are planning to buy this phone, Please use this phone at your home at least a day by borrowing this phone from a friend using this one and if you are satisfied, then buy. Otherwise, don't buy this.. Galaxy A30 is a much better phone in this price range. Thank You!

  • How to ruin any interest with one simple feature: "There is no Appdrawer" Why? Who thinks that's a good idea? Well, goodbye.

  • I have the same problem in samsung j7 pro, its not because of the the device. its connectivity problem.

  • Good

  • Xiaomi Redmi note 7 so wonderful

  • Redmi note 7 still same problem even we complaint so many time but still no improvement like before redmi note 4,5,6 GPS is Big issue, cant lock GPS lousy phone Think twice before Buy any product from xiaomi!!!!!!.....

  • It's just bigger an better battery

  • Google play store/Netflix/download.

  • Very good for the price sector and complete features. Mobile phones with pretty good features are all here for everyday needs. The audio quality is good, the camera is good, the processor is good, the screen is big enough, and the body is made of glass that has been coated with corning gorilla glass 5 front and back.

  • download GPS fix, icon like sputnick satellite ;) from play/appstore and see if helps, after few resets all work back as usual for me but annoying indeed

  • I think your problem is because u got a chinese rom instead of a global version...thats why

  • Nope

  • I bought this a few months back unlocked, great phone on hardware, but reception seems to be weak. Tried two carriers, and also GPS seems to also be weak. Anyone know if there's a way to improve those things? And lastly, how can I install Netflix?

  • I byed today and I have same problem. Must go to service tomorow

  • samsung have good signals and nokia also.....use it...don't guess that

  • Hi I own this unit and my network does not recognize that it is LTE and it's really slow when it comes to data.

  • Its like you guys dont notice that theres an issue in mic channels When recording a video youre also recording sound (stereo) but the problem is when you watch the video you recorded youre hearing things in the Left when should be on the Right Watch it with earphones and of course wear the earphones correctly

  • Comforting to know. I had another redmi that has lasted 3 years. You have confirmed that it is reliable.

  • Disable wifi and bluetooth scanning. Set your Non-data sim to 2g, reduce windows animation scale to 0.5x in developer options. Do all these and you should be good. Xiaomi phones might baffle you at times if you aren't tech savvy.

  • You dont know what you are talking about Nisad. @Alek... To resolve the proximity sensor ish, change your screen guard or protector.

  • China ROM

  • I just bought the phone two months ago and i really like it its got a big screen long lasting battery its fast and the miui looks good

  • Change your internet service provider

  • I bought Mi Redmi 7, but it’s not connecting to google play store and I downloaded whatsapp from Mi store that also not working, I found one software update in the setting that also not been updating.. using wifi .. what would be the issue?

  • Only in yours Mine is fine

  • u have a higher ping

  • HUH?!?!?!?!?!

  • Mi note 7 all teacher is ok but camera is note good but average. When you cleak with flash than yellow image.. I dont understand than why in mi product all is better than other brand but one is note good like camera battery prossar aal is good than coverage is not good.. coverage good than camera is bad.. mi is no one mobile is all section is good.. I request to mi lonch one perfect mobile like camera cavrage battery prosser and build quality is in one mobile...

  • My pubg always disconnected from server. How to fix? I use wifi.

  • I have Redmi Note 7 so its restarting, some time camera not connected so can someone guide me please

  • Xiaomi doesnt want to clutter the status bar

  • GPS accuracy depends on network signal

  • They just named it that way

  • I am from Kuwait . I have note 7 global version, Every thing ok But overheating problem, this mobile only suitable for AC room users. I have one super idea to xiaomi fit inside cooling fan😃

  • yes Because its camera is leaning out

  • Easy solution, before buying a phone look up its network bands and compare them to your preferred network. No phone is compatable with all network bands so it's best to do your research before buying

  • want to play games with the 'budget king' ? super fast overheat, random ads from original software, random app crash and you are welcome.

  • My redmi note 7 phone, Screen Unbalanced. i think 0.3Cm, whats is this error? is This Note 7 bug ??

  • what about GPS, is it good?

  • How is Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 a "Note" phone? Does it come with a stylus or anything that your standard note has? Just curious.

  • Hi guys I read some posts about "not receiving notifications" and some other software problems here I had the exact same issues with my note 5 ai which has Chinese rom as default All disappeared by changing rom to global version To do that you should first unlock your phone and to unlock your phone you should create a mi account and sync it with your phone. Then follow the online guides usually posted in mi forum. It takes one to two weeks after creating mi account that your unlock request get accepted from xiaomi I mean xiaomi doesn't accept your request just after you create and sync your account and it takes about 1 to 2 weeks

  • I've never owned a Samsung or Nokia smartphone, so i guess they are just total crap and your route is relatively well covered by your carrier. I've compared it to Huawei Y6II, Redmi 5 plus and now Mi 9T. All 3 of them show at least 5dBm stronger signal than the Note 7; and in areas with really weak signal, the Note 7 is the first to lose signal or at least internet connection. But, again, compared to the 3 phones i've mentioned. I believe that the Samsung and the Nokia are even worse. Many people complain of bad reception with Samsung smartphones.

  • Fair enough.... I respect your opinion but we have to agree to disagree. I live around 40km from the nearest town....this device has offered reliable connection to 4G(which I use the most), 3G and 2G ....no dropped calls or internet issues. Comparing to my 2 previous phones Samsung S8 and Nokia 7 plus, it wins in terms of reliable signal strength easily....

  • BTW, not a Xiaomi hater. Just got a Mi 9T a couple of days ago and i observed the opposite. It has the strongest reception i've seen.

  • I haven't considered it because it's the same on 3G and 2G. It's just weak. And review sites are a joke, most reviewers too. Nobody measures signal strength, they just see some signal and report "we had no connectivity issues". Well i've made real tests and comparisons and it's crap.

  • I'm not experienced any echo.

  • Why? Because you say so!?! Even chinahandys.net confirm good reception in their review....have you considered may be it has better signal reception in some bands eg Band 20 which we use here....

  • LOL that is extremely misleading. Note 7 has one of the worst receptions i've ever seen. Maybe S8 is even worse, no idea, but certainly cellular reception is BELOW average.

  • Yes

  • does this phone really have worse selfie camera than samsung m30?

  • Top**

  • This phone is problem free, only that notification doesn't stay up at the topic of the screen

  • Totally agree with this if you buy this phone you will regret it - i have its a great tablet however is pretty much useless as a phone due to the constant echo in calls

  • Avoid this phone if you want to use it as a phone!!! This is a great phone if you want to use it as a tablet. However this is not a phone in any practical sense as you simply cannot use it a phone to make phone calls. There is a constant echo on all phone calls. Apparently this is a design flaw in the phone. Search the internet for echo problems in calls before buying this phone - you will see what i mean. Avoid Avoid Avoid

  • You’re welcome.

  • Thanks for the info I now know my note 7 do not support band 28

  • RN7 or Moto G7 Power? Suggestion?

  • What version are you using? I tried using it but there are few bugs.like closing the app itself when I try to use slow motion mode.

  • My Opinion : Design : Beautiful. But Camera is Upper. Display: Brightness is Very Good Same as A20 in sun light.but touch is not smooth as Samsung amoled displays.but any way superb color accuracy. Battery: Screen On time 10Hr maybe. Can use heavely without charging 23 hrs.after 10.3.6.0 update battery Draining fast.but um nota gamer.so i can live with it. Performance: the best thing is this phone is not display.no battery.PREFORMENCE.SUPERB Prefomence from thi.very fast fingerprint reader and face unlock.fastly opening apps.no laggs. Cameras: selfie camera is really impressed me with GCam.Also Primary cameras are also gives us very good work.with.low light not good but i say better than A50 in low light. So this phone not for display user.this phone for some thinkerble persons.great phone for great price. Any way please fix the Battery Draining Issue MI.Please! That's it.

  • Than get another phone

  • Very good mobile . More options good display quality and affordable price But, GPS location worst performance. And very quickly over heating.

  • This phone is worst in network receiving, when i go into low or no coverage area , its right it looses its signals but when i come back to full coverage area usually it doesnt show signals or network unless i restart it or change network modes of sim. Anyone having this issue?

  • can't buy from india because of the pincode and buying from china version, i won't have google stuff

  • Just buy import set from china or india.

  • Does redmi note 7 supports fortnite? Have any of you tried installing it on your phone to see if it really works or not? It can handle pubg smoothly..why not fortnite?

  • Yes it does It’s in settings, wireless&networks, more, wireless display

  • Where can i get the pro version for europe/sweden???

  • Does it support Miracast?

  • Interesting enough there are some note 7(G variants) in the Europe region with band 28 enabled....I wonder if this is a software feature in our devices?

  • My one week review From Samsung S8....in short it’s a wonderful device for the price Pros 1. Great battery life 2. Performance fast....no lags noted 3. Excellent signal reception.....I live in poor reception area and this device manages to hold to 4g signal better than my S8 4. Remote control very convenient Cons 1. Really wanted band 28 in my Global device but discovered I had the M1901F7G which doesn’t have band 28 despite being advertised as ‘global’ The M1901F7H is the one band 28....please check on this before buying the phone if you want band 28 reception. Wish there was a way to activate band 28 in the ‘G’ variant...

  • yes

  • Any heating problem?

  • you can buy a cooling gamepad in lazada

  • Yes, I have a same problem on my Note 4. This must be a software issue, but after over 2 years they are not resolve this problem.

  • Bro you have purchased cheap Chinese phone and not a Samsung or Apple iPhone. When you get 48MP camera at a low price then you must be ready for such problem. Even Nokia is better than Redmi phones

  • Anyone has issues with the proximity sensor on this phone? When I call someone the screen goes off (which is ok) but then in 1 min turns on and starts reacting on my ear. So irritating! When the call is finished I can see many random apps open etc.

  • Sometimes this phone lags too much only when theres an enemy or a plane in pubg (redmi note 7 3/32)

  • Yes

  • Yes ,it has

  • Is there one or two speakers?

  • Yes

  • Common complaint in this device. You can try turning the following: 1 Turn off location, Bluetooth and other things that you don't need. 2. Play on WiFi and turn off mobile data if possible. 3. Don't play while charging. 4. Don't multitask during gaming. Close other apps/tasks. 5. If possible, try to play in cool environment like in AC room or at night.

  • Does Redmi note 7 Pro have FM radio?

  • Good option as always from Xiaomi.. Can anyone solve the notification problems which were came fist time since i'm using...even alarm clock notification..

  • I'd take the 64GB model as it has 4GB RAM, instead of the 3GB that comes with the 32GB model

  • Provide option to get early access to Android Q Beta Allow Google Chrome to be uninstalled (I hate that browser and use Brave instead)

  • You mean because of the bump? A case should help with that.

  • Same problem

  • Hello, I am going to buy this phone, but I can't choose. 32GB or 64GB? Please help. Those who have 32GB is it enough?

  • The camera often clashes on the table What does it do?

  • Since my update to MIUI 10.3.6.0, the battery has been draining fast. My battery is at 100% at night. No data connection, GPS is also disabled and background apps are cleared. But I wake up the next day and discover that battery level has fallen to between 85 and 92 percent. What's happening???

  • Please fix battery drain issue asap.

  • My screen on time very short. wifi or 4g data always on.not used for gaming or other multimedia works.but battery drain so fast when compare with my old LG g6+ phone

  • This phone is great.

  • I think these problems are associated with the unit you bought. Mine has been serving me very well, and I've had no issues at all.

  • How many hours that you used your phone ? Per day ?

  • Battery drains so fast. I'm even not in use of gaming or something heavy.

  • When i play like mobile legends, pubg and nba2k19, and it didn't even take 30 mins my device heat up and rises up to 46° is there any bug or problem on this? How can i fix it?

  • why battery drain so fast?

  • That mean Tmobile is problem not phone itself

  • You can always root your device and uninstall that apps

  • at xm.cz i have it for ~150EUR Gearbest have nice prices too

  • The volume dock "buttons" stop working if I clear the background apps ,, and return to work only after I restart the phone .. any help please ??!!

  • does it support aptx hd?

  • I've been using it for 2 months. I will post my experience with this phone. Pros: 1. Battery life is great. 2. SD660 is great. 3. Screen is great. 4. Audio jack is present Cons: 1. Camera is good, but the back camera produces unrealistic colors. I hope it will be fixed on future updates. Front camera is decent and below my expectations. 2. Glass build makes the phone feel fragile.

  • So,i bought this phone like 1 month ago and my experiance was good.the camera is good and if your kid likes playing games, the sd 660 will handle it just right.the screen is good when watching youtube

  • Actually, you may regret it. Occasionally fails to ring... then goes to vm.. frequently fails to notify of events / nortifications Has issues with tmobile in my area. Problems connecting with car stereo AD2P... have to do it manually too often. Tmobile says phone is 3g only and most towers here are 4g... frequent phone echo, My Moto X (before i broke it) didnt have these issues. Mi mover app qr code doesnt work - takes you to a web site... instead of just connecting when scanned. otherwise, Nice screen, decent photos, decent battery.

  • As for the camera, download the Gcam app. It's way better than the stock camera app that came with the phone.

  • Buy this phone, you'll never regret it. Currently, I'm using the Xiaomi Redmi note 7 and my experience with it has been amazing.

  • Hey. I bought this phone yesterday and I use to write this message. The phone is good. But the front camera is rubbish totally.

  • any opinions: I want to buy a mid-range phone for my kid which all it matters is the camera (but still wish to be good phone overall). budget around €150. I was thinking about this phone. any suggestions please?

  • When and where it costs so cheap? Where are you from bro? In my country it is 175$ as of now

  • Should i buy a camera lens protector for the xiaomi note 7 ??... and please what are other components you can suggest me to biy for this phone

  • You can get it, it's a very good device. I got it recently, and to be very honest, though i might face some little hiccups at times, they are not frequent. if you use your device lightly, you should face nearly no issue with it. But if you are heavy user like me, you might be disturbed from time to time. it's a good device, good battery backup, my only issue is MiUi doesn't manage notifications so well.. like the notification icons don't appear every time, but it's not a deal, you can easily be used to that over a short period of time, battery is great too. if you use it soo and constantly, you mid charge it once before sunset, but if you don't really use it that much, then it might hold till bedtime. Audio is great! really, check in the settings.. in overall, you might end up like this phone, because it's a good budget device with a lot to give, or might dislike it if you are from a flagship device..

  • I don't think you should hesitate buying this one, the price you stated is really cheap and I don't think you'll regret it. Though half of the notifications don't really show up, I suggest flashing a ROM and it'll work better and performance will be boosted.

  • Its 120 euro (134$) as of right now should i buy? have zero whatoever experience with Xiaomi phones.. im just afraid its a weak ass phone consider its chipset Snap 660? And how about notifications in status bar? do they even show up? On the Mi 9 Se they do not

  • I saw this in my battery usage and it is in the 1's things which draining battery! we should wait for a update, am I right?

  • Nice product by xiaomi as usual.. facing notification problems i.e app notifications and sometime alarm also.. Please tell if there is any help to solve..

  • all are good but, ads are annoying very much. all apps from MI why showing with ads? is there anything to stop all kind apps...?

  • Redmi note 7

  • Try used save battery mode and check your application raining in background

  • That's perfect phone will spend nice time with pro camera

  • What the hell's wrong this phone

  • How do I know which version does support Band 28? The Global spec says it does, but I went to purchase and the seller says it doesn't...

  • I don't think 18W fast charging works on this one, many of my friends including me of course bought 18W chargers on Mi Store and it the charging speed wasn't affected at all, and I personally think it's slowing the charging. And about it's battery, yep it's 4000mAh but it feels 1000mAh less, it drains fast like 30mins 100%-90% and if you want to reach 4H of SoT from 100%-50% you'll need to save battery. My highest SoT record was 9H and that's without playing any game and just using it casually, no screen off music or earphones was plugged in. The camera is a bit disappointing if you look at it as a 48MP but will realize it is good when compared to other cameras on phones, even on flagship phones, though you need to install GCam for it to perform better. But overall this phone is good, it was worth the $200 and IMO, this is the best $200 phone on the market to date.

  • You get a out 50 GB I. 64 g. Varient

  • Hey, I have read that there is a cell standby bug that causes the battery to drain really fast. Try searching in Redmi Note's 7 XDA Forum.

  • Just got this phone, is it okay for the phone to charge from 68% to 100 for almost 3hours with the charger that come with it (not fast charger) normal 5v/2A

  • Camera is ok, but there is severe flicker and banding under certain led lighting. Adjusting banding settings (0, 50hz, 60hz, auto) has no effect. Shame.

  • Mine is less than a month and battery drains very fast...wonder if the battery is up to 4000 mentioned in the specs

  • I bought this phone less than a month now in Ghana. Everything seems good but the battery drains very fast. Any suggestions on what to do??

  • Which is best between xiaomi note 7 and samsung A50

  • Not all versions of the Note 7 support the 4G B28 band.

  • I am using this phone around 3 months and it is really good. No battery issues, night camera AI is really great compared to all other Redmi phones. This is really one of the best budget phone released in 2019. And don't even compare this phone with high end flagship phones. if you really want to compare with high end phones then buy some Xiaomi flagship phones then compare and satisfy with it. You all like to spend less money and expect like a high end phone hardware feature. Even though this phone provides more features than the high end phone which double the price to provide. still not satisfy with what you all got and expect to be like a flagship phone. Even apple users face so many difficulties, but they don't tell because they are all really shy to express it because they pay more and couldn't get all the features. All phones has its pros and cons. think before you buy. If you have the money to buy some flagship phone then buy that. don't complain after you buy. What a let down.

  • Link please

  • Between galaxy samsung A50 and Redmi note 7 128gb rom which one is advisable to purchase?

  • Worst phone ever I used.bending issue and also company is not giving any response, we r not getting reply of mail also.

  • I have worst experience with redmi phones. I have purchased this gadget for the second time within 4 months. first one was returned because of its technical fault and was unable to switch on. and after 4 months that is I purchased the gadget just after a week again in the month of march on holi got the same problem. now I am not able to make any call or any activity with the gadget. along with this its touch is also really worst as mostly it redirects to any Xyz app or starts opening multiple apps. and also this gadget never worked via Bluetooth connectivity in case of phone calls in my car. I trusted Redmi for the second time but its all wastage of money and time. I will never go with Redmi...

  • Gosh, this phone would've been so great if the non-native camera compression weren't so awful. The default camera was fine, but trying to use the camera in Snapchat or Messenger made me decide to return it. I know Snapchat degrades Android pictures, but this was beyond that - it was unacceptable, practically flip phone quality.

  • A30 doesn't have better batteey and camera

  • download an apk for google camera. the quality from gcam is better than the default cam

  • I think real me 3 pro is better than rn7, i have rn7 and the battery drain so fast.

  • Can somene please help me, i want to know what is better between RN7 and Redmi 5 Plus about durability (drop, shock, bend water splash, heat) and its life expectancy ( survive >2 years, >3 years, >5 years)? Nb: I am sorry because my English is very bad. Thanks for the help. 😃

  • Any recommendations on tips and tricks for a new Note 7 user?

  • What is the actual storage space after all the softwares installation? For the 32&64 GB version

  • Hi, friends! can you tell me,when Redmi Note 7 be closed in India?

  • I think Realme 3 is better.

  • Of course Redmi note 7

  • A30. Better battery, OS and camera. But better get Realme 3 pro for same price. Apart from amoled screen, A30 doesn't compare with 3 pro in any way.

  • Check the battery properties, setting of the app, maybe they have not permission to work in the background.

  • Honor 8x or Redmi note 7 ?

  • There is actually 6GB RAM + 128GB ROM edition. Perhaps look for info before commenting ;)

  • Yup, they are phablets. Phones that are under 7 inch = phone and tablet hybrids. Phablets.

  • You need to disable that in Store app, like on any other Android device.

  • So the Phone is great and working perfectly and fast! but!!!! You can't receive messages from Steam/Gmail/Facebook in case you put your phone number as recovery you will never get a code from those apps. I've tested it with 2 Redmi note 7 phones with different sim cards. Non of them Reading messages from those apps.

  • Hi friend's can you suggest me Which phn is best Redmi note 7 or Samsung galaxy A30 the price is almost same here in Pakistan

  • this phone sucks! it automatically update apps even my auto update app is closed!

  • is note 7 better or realme 3 ? plz i wanna buy so fast my pocophone was stolen :(

  • Is that lag in pubg

  • Why there is no video call option in the folder Why there is no camera icons in my part I can not even make a video call in New Mobile I paid 190 EUR if you ever fix it That's the big flaw of this cell phone

  • You can buy another that has 2, and more memory, but you would need to pay for it

  • I love the big size. I can read books and manga, and watch movies

  • Well... It is not a console..

  • You can read the individual words, but you can't get the meaning of the entire phrase though. You should refrain from commenting until you get used to reading and understanding stuff.

  • Not flagship phone

  • What? Yes, it has 3.5 mm audio jack

  • The worst network I have seen

  • Have this same issue on redmi 4x, for past 2 years. None of the updates have fix it. So not surprised that same issue exist on new models

  • Is it because the china rom, the phone always hanged? I didn't get any notification whenever got incoming chats or video calls.

  • good camera??? don't fk with us!!!!

  • If you want good camera with good UI just go for galaxy a30 then...and one more there's have AMOLED screen that can enhance the photos maybe..Good shopping

  • it has miui

  • Is this better than the A30? I want a big phone with wide lens and good quality of photo and video.. I can't buy the P20 or 30 right now (Leica is super tempting but I can't pay 2 months worth salary)

  • That ain't true, you can use 48mp on stock camera. But 12mp is the default.

  • I'm currently using the Redmi Note 7. Network connectivity is superb. Moreover, it has more network bandwidth than Huawei Y9 prime

  • The redimi note 7 is really good I use one my self, it's basically the same thing with the Huawei y9 2019, although I love the gesture and the animation on the redimi note 7, plus the multi task screen phase is way better than the Huawei y9 2019, camera wise the Huawei y9 tales first place

  • Does the 3gb/32gb ROM have an noticeable lag compared to the 4gb/64gb ROM. Please i need an objective view on battery life and cellular network connectivity

  • Huawei Y9 and Redmi Note 7, which is better? Also how is the network connectivity for RNote 7?

  • Already did that. Or maybe is it because the china rom?

  • Sir, What software would enable the 48 MP camera feature work

  • Maybe check the notification settings or check the app restrictions

  • I got this phone last month. But i have a problem receiving texts or video calls from whatsapp users. I need to open the apps then i just knew i had too many missed calls & texts. Am i the only one got this issues? It's not only for whatsapp apps, even LINE or facebook and so on. What should i do?

  • I bought this phone after I read the review from darkmesa from 9 july. I do not use this phone for gaming. The only thing I compare to my previous phone (6s+ fruitphone) is that the pictures from the redmi are more superior) For the rest everything works as advertised. Why to pay every 2y a new phone from +€1000 and the batt dies after some 2y. In the past tried to let change the batt (cost +€100) and the phone died also after a couple of months. So thank you to all members for posting there reviews. I am satisfied more then 100% with this -200€ phone. Greetings, Harry

  • Xiaomi user interface is by far the best but there is something that gsmarena don't highlight and its very important. To me this is the only major setback. When you take photos you organise them in albums which should appear in file manager. This isn't the case. If you transfer other photos that aren't from the camera they will appear in file manager. It's tricky when managing photos. Just thought this should be highlighted in your reviews.

  • I also agree with him.

  • redmi note 7 is has big problem receiver and caller sound very Weak recever say cant hear sound very low.

  • The camera on this phone is a 48 mp camera that can take 12 mp photos. It can only take 48 mp photos with software.

  • Network issue...

  • Redmi note 7s is good mobile but one problem this mobile hanging

  • FYI The Global version M1901F7G does NOT support B28 (I have one in AU, no B28, despite xiaomi & gearbest stating that it does), Only allegedly M1901F7H does.

  • How do you know those issues are androids fault and not this particular phone if it's your first android phone? The price of this phone is ridiculously small compared to iPhone. You could at least try a phone which is in the same price range if you want to compare those systems like that. You're being ridiculous

  • If it has a micro USB, then it's not the redmi note 7, but redmi 7

  • Redmi 7 is a different phone from Redmi Note 7

  • The Redmi Note 7 has a USB type C connector, while the Redmi 7 a microUSB

  • Go to settings Then About Phone Then type your Model Number in Google. It'll tell you which phone you've.

  • It seems that you have bought redmi 7

  • I bought Redmi 7 on amazon and I think it's the Redmi note 7 but mine doesn't have a USB-C connector, but a micro usb!!! What phone do I have?? I need it to have the USB C connector.

  • This is because the phone is meant to be used in 12mp mode

  • The 48Mp samples on this site show even lower resolution than the 12Mp ones... certainly far from other 48Mp phones. Can a 3rd party app solve that? The low light ones are indeed better than average, though.

  • try not using, face unlock and not use adaptive battery. mine also like that cannot handle one day operations. But today is better after not use that settings

  • I agree with some of it, mostly about the design but TBH, your review is a bit biased and misleading, especially about its performance. Even SD 710 and 835 struggle to pull 60 fps in PUBG and you say this phone, with a *under-performing* SD 660 can do that. As far as I know, it lags/drops frames in pubg when you drive, jump or look around quickly if you play on HD graphics. Most players with this phone play on Smooth graphics for decent fps. Running multiple apps no longer tells you about performance of a device. Nowadays, even SD 425 phones with 1 - 1.5GB RAM (Galaxy J2 Pro) can handle YouTube + Facebook + WhatsApp + Instagram + Browser at once without closing. J2 Pro can also handle pubg fine on smooth graphics.

  • Just go through the reviews. So many people are reporting issues in this phone - even the ones that are actually recommending this phone to others. I've read sound, heating, screen, strange noises, charging, battery, performance, camera, signal, vibration and so on in the last few pages of reviews here.

  • Are you comparing an 180€ phone to a 1250€ iphone? or even the iphone7? jesus christ

  • This review is for the Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 GLOBAL VERSION (4GB RAM, 42 mpx camera, 128 GB Storage) paid €200 (bought in Italy), no contract. This phone is a steal for the price. It has a remarkable build quality, a bright and vibrant display, amazing cameras and performs delightfully. The phone has a glass back which you might find fragile, but it's protected by Gorilla Glass 5 so it's unlikely to shatter too easily. The frame is of a premium feeling plastic which I can honestly hardly tell apart from the glass on the front and back. The FullHD+ Display looks good even with its big dimensions (6.3"), it's sharp, bright and the colors are quite accurate. Like the back glass of the phone, the front is also protected by Gorilla Glass 5, so a screen protector isn't necessary. I personally only use the included silicon cover that's in the box, it's transparent so you can hardly notice it. The dual rear camera is wonderful, with its 48 mpx pictures are very sharp, low light performance is very good, I've taken multiple pictures at night with desirable light conditions and they're still relatively good, they're less sharp than ones taken in bright environments but the level of noise is acceptable and the picture is plenty bright. I've taken some in dark areas of my city where there were still some source of lights near by, shots came out very bright, it made night look like an evening. The front shooter is splendid as well, selfies are sharp, though low light performance is reduced. There isn't too much to say about performance, it's straight up flagship level. It can keep countless apps open without lagging, it performs flawlessly in games. I've been playing a lot of Mortal Kombat for up to an hour, it's a very demanding game and it heats up the device quite a bit, but without any performance loss. The frame-rate is locked on 60. I've heard of people playing PUBG on this for the same length of time without any frame drops as well, on max settings too (Others game I tested: Stardew Valley, Tuber Simulator, all run flawlessly). MIUI 10 is very good looking, and more importantly, it's very smooth all across the system, and comes with some neat features like double-tap to unlock, full-screen gestures, a screen recorder, dual apps and more. Battery is the best I've ever put my hands on. 6 hours screen-on time is guaranteed, even on max brightness and with Bluetooth . I use adaptive brightness, which I find to be slightly too dark at times, but without ever using battery saver I can get an average of 7 hours of screen-on time (about 3 of which are heavy games), if I don't play games it's an easy 8. If you were to use battery saver you could get up to even 9. I sometimes don't even charge the device overnight, and I've been using it a lot since I got it. It goes from 10 to 100 in about 2 hours, which is impressive considering it's a 4000 MaH battery. It charges over USB-C which is a must in my opinion in 2019. It's more robust and faster than Micro USB. The only flaw that I've been able to notice is a slight lag when pressing the navigation buttons, the lag isn't in the triggering of the action but in the vibration feedback of the phone. I use gestures anyways, which I've gotten used to in no time, and work perfectly fine. Speakers are decent too, I don't use them very often but when I do they get the job done, though they're nothing spectacular. Audio goes through the earpiece for a stereo effect as well which is nice. Looks: The phone looks very good. The thin bezels along with the rounded corners give is a very smooth and modern look, the water drop notch never gets in the way and doesn't look too bad up there. The back of the device is flat, and the way it transitions from the frame of the device is very neat because it gives the device a slightly chunky appearance. I value looks a lot and I struggles to find a phone that doesn't have ugly antenna bands sticking around or an overly smoothed back, this phone was a blessing for me. The phone also comes with 128 GB of Storage (about 12 reserved for system). I transferred all of my music (about 300 songs, 1.8 GB) and all of my apps to this phone, taken lots of pictures and it still has 100 GB of Storage left. It's more than you'll ever need, 64 GB is a good option if you care to save a few bucks. It can always be expanded via a Micro SD card. There are ads when installing apps but they aren't annoying at all, I've had very annoying ads on other phones before, these are very tolerable, and they're only there when installing apps (and in a folder on the home screen which you can just remove), nothing in the lock screen, system apps or any other section of the system. It came with some pre-installed apps like Amazon, other than that it's just the following MiApps: Contacts, Calculator, Clock, FM Radio, Recorder (voice), Screen Recorder, Feedback, Scanner (For QR codes), downloads, Compass, Mi Drop, MiCommunity, MIUI Forum, Mi Video, all well sorted in their own folder on the home screen. Other notes: Good WiFi, Mobile Data and Bluetooth connections, doesn't have NFC (mine is the GLOBAL version), the rear mounted fingerprint scanner is easy to find and as quick as it gets. I haven't tested face recognition but it's a feature, I wouldn't recommend it on a device like this since it could probably be fooled by a picture, though I can't say for sure. I set animation scale to x0.5 through Developer Options to make the device feel faster (can be done by going to settings > about phone > click "MIUI version" until it says "you're now a developer" > go back > additional settings > developer options > window animation scale, animator duration scale, transition animation scale (set all to x0.5). Conclusion This phone has it all. Unless you're looking for more than 1080p or an OLED Display, I don't see why you'd get any other phone but this. For $200 you cannot get a better device. This is my first Xiaomi phone and I doubt it'll be my last. The moment this breaks, it's another Xiaomi for me.

  • there's an option on the default cam to have it in 48mp mode or something. Or you can download an apk for google cam since it isn't available on playstore. There's a huge difference when you use gcam especially when in night mode.

  • I have never had an android phone, ever! then I decided to give it a try with this phone. -It loses signal for about 10 seconds every 2 minutes even if the screen is on. -Bluetooth disconnects when screen times out, which makes it impossible to use bluetooth headphones. -Wifi disconnects and the wifi logo disappears and gives me "H" instead with no apparent reason. And so many other stupid issues which are related to android and not exclusive to this phone. Can't wait to buy an iphone and break this piece of junk as soon as possible.

  • Vibration is not working in my note 7 pro. Any suggestion?

  • RN7 looks more appealing than A30 over that it has better camera (which is average in this range but much better than A30) along with a 12hrs battery back up in one charge if net is always On whole day. I have to charge twice a day as per my usage.

  • RN7 iddled but still drains battery

  • hi guys could someone help me with this issue, i have xiaomi redmi note 7 but there is no option of wps connect ... i bought this phone online from store.. how can i get wps connect option in my phone

  • Hi, is it true the main camera sensor is hardware limited to 12Mp? (impossible to unlock!)

  • The battery is quite good, I don't play game as much though maybe like a game or two on PUBGM and other few smaller games. Normally it does last for whole day, and the phone support QC 3.0 anyway so charging power will be quite fast. Camera quality is pretty standard, AI camera mode will help you tune in some color & filters, though under certain condition your photo might be slightly grainy or have small amount of noise. 48MP mode is kind of letdown as the picture quality produced is not any better than regular mode if not it slightly worse, with 200% of filesize.

  • Download this app called 'Open Camera'. It lets you shoot video in 1080p, which MIUI doesn't allow for some reason.

  • Actually, I disagree with you. I used to have the Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite(4GB RAM+64GB ROM) and it sucked really bad. It lagged many times, and really has a crappy camera that I wouldn't recommend. The quality isn't great either, with blemishes appearing on the back of the phone randomly at the back of the phone even though it had a case on. Yes, it has a good screen but other that that and the Android One experience, it was really a waste of money. The Redmi Note 7(4GB RAM+128GB ROM) I'm currently using though has more space, built better, has a nice gradient finish with a glass design at the back, better cameras, better processor, better screen and a smaller notch. What I don't like is the battery life, the huge camera bump and the software. But other than that, it has never failed to impress me.

  • Hi bro, we're here talking about the Redmi Note 7, not the Redmi 7. They are both different.

  • Get this, its a great phone. Been using this for 3 weeks and man its a spectacular phone. Cameras actually are quite great, especially if you tinker around with its various modes. Oh, and you can shoot 1080p video if you install an app called 'Open Camera'.

  • Bro i the xiaomi rn7 is wayyy better in almost everything except the ui and cheaper than the samsunga30 but it depends on ur region..if i was in a country where the company was created it would be ideal, if u dont care about that then just get the redmi for spec or sam for well ui and feel ;D btw i dont like glass backs so thats note 7's con

  • Google camera

  • Will this work on tracfone carriers?

  • Why the quality of video mode in front cam looks worst than photo mode

  • should i get this or spend 10$ more on the Samsung Galaxy A30

  • full meaning of gcam

  • Download Gcam you will see different results

  • I'm using this phone for 3 months now and I have no issues with it =)

  • He got a defective unit. But instead going to xiaomi store to replace it. He starts bashing xioami phones and give negative reviews.

  • hardware issues? like?

  • A30 100%. Note 7 is not reliable. A lot of hardware issues.

  • Hi. I'm planning to buy this phone next month, specifically the 128gb cuz I want to start playing mobile games again. Having second doubts due to the comments here, especially with the battery, cuz I need long lasting battery life. Can someone clarify these allegations? Or if you could recommend a phone with the same perfrmance and price I'd be delighted to look it up. Better if it's also a xiaomi phone. Thanks!

  • If I were u I will choose the redmi note 7

  • Please does the battery last? Is the camera too as good as people say?cause, I want to buy the xiaomi redmi note 7. I don't know if I should buy it or I should go for galaxy A30.

  • Low graphics, yes but with short battery time. High graphics, no. It's same as mi a2 lite but with worse battery.

  • For you. None so deaf as they who will not hear.

  • Which one is better? A30 or redmi note 7?

  • Watch some video to disable service and disable recommendation for each pre-installed apps.

  • Yes it can play pubgm in hi graphics with occasional lags

  • I agree

  • Facepalm

  • is PUBGM good to play on this phone(Redmi note7)?

  • P30 lite if these two are your only options. On paper, redmi note 7 is actually better except for miui but just look at the mess this phone is. This review section is full of complaints about it.

  • Game space is not a gimmick. It takes away half the reason I've to root any phone. Learn how android kernel manages CPU, GPU, throttling, hotplug and LMK and how game space changes their configuration.

  • Does anyone experience PUBG lag? After pitting better settings for more better experience, I gotnnotification that phone is overheating and it will disable mobile data, wifi, bluetooth e.c. Does anyone has bad snapchat selfie camera at night mode? It feels like I have been using beauty moon, because image comes out so blury and so soft. Will wait for answers

  • Is anyone is facing the issue of dark and blur video quality through the third party apps lie messanger, viber while using video call but using instagram it gives clear video call than other apps. Is anyone familar with this issue. I'm using redmi note 7 4/128 global version.

  • The best phone i have ever used..10 out of 10 in all deparments..the most i like about redmi note 7 is battery backup and its take only 1.5 hours to charge..thank u redmi

  • Which one is best? Samsung a50 or redmi note 7?

  • Invalid link....

  • How do you disable the Ads?

  • I just bought this phone, definitely worth every spent penny. Really smooth & fast, sleek & simple design. Display is great, speaker audio quality is pretty standard, audio jack is very welcomed & IR blaster actually works well! Camera is kind of grainy though, if you take picture often this phone might be not what you're looking for. There's some annoying ads in the build-in apps, although that it can be disabled, you can do it individually on each apps so it can be tiring or annoying to some people.

  • Yes, it has Play Store and other Google apps. I didn't understand the second question. I don't use the camera often, I think it's fine for the price.

  • I just tested it by shooting a video and it really records audio to the wrong channels. Sound from the left side comes from the right side and sound from the right side comes from the left side. Here is video evidence:

  • P30 lite

  • Why are you comenting and reply to yourself

  • Redmi note 7

  • Hi With no prejudice thought Please tell me : P30 Lite OR Redmi Not 7 ??????

  • Game space is gimmick. Mi a2 lite is old and has big chin and notch Realme 3 diesn't have gyro eis Mi a2 lite low light camera is poor Better wait for realme 4(there are some leaks about thus phone) and mi a3 lite( should be launched soon)

  • Better get nokia 3310 it has better performance than intel i9 and rtx 2080 ti better camera than nikon d850 and the best display ever

  • Dose it come with play store and other Google app. Is the camera clear those de ba3 last

  • RIP bro :( Also, can anyone explain if there is any reason to buy redmi note 7 instead of Mi A2 lite? It's clear the performance, battery, phone quality of rn7 sucks. Then why not go for mi a2 lite? It has good battery, similar performance, good quality, Android One, decent camera with gyro-eis feature and just as good display. And it costs much less. I'm having trouble picking between Mi A2 lite and Realme 3. Realme 3 is better for gaming while mi a2 lite offers better visual experience. Android One is best but Color OS offers Game Space which I like. Both phones have good cameras but I don't know which phone has better camera. Mi A2 lite has gyro eis feature which I'm not sure if Realme 3 does. Or should I save up for realme 3 pro?

  • Go and check comments there

  • redmi 7, 2Gb Ram and 32 Gb Rom worst mobile.more draw backs first one is if you open the camera struck the mobile.and if you open browser struck the mobile. and some times it not open immediately.I was taken by this mobile 10 days back.

  • Could you show us evidence?

  • Rn7, A50 have a lot of issues and defects

  • 100% to 93% I played pubg for 17mins with hd graphics high frame rate Using wifi

  • After update of 10.3.6.0 front camera is showing noise, whitish whitish photos. Not sharp photos.

  • A50 obviously. It's like every reviewer here is having a problem with RN7.

  • Which phone is the best..? Samsung A50 or Xiaomi Redmi Note 7..?

  • Screen on Time Unless you share the breakdown of apps used it means nothing on its own.

  • Im sorry what do you mean about "SOT"

  • What is your average SOT from 100%-20% and 100%-0%?

  • Does Global version have Ads ? I live in Europe, Serbia.

  • Have you tried recording a video then realized that the channel of the audio is in opposite direction?

  • I bought the global version in Turkey. USB OTG works. I needed to get the "Files by Google" app to use the files in the USB flash drive. I also tested FiiO K1 external DAC and it works fine. It's heavier than I'm used to but I like the phone. You can ask me questions.

  • Did you read what he said?

  • Uninstall then reinstall.

  • hi! Im travelling around Europe but my Facebook and Instagram app is not working. What can I do?

  • Put it to the test. Challenge accepted or chicken can only coocoo?

  • Indian release Redmi note 7 pro = march Realme 3 pro = april

  • "Both phones have identical performance. Realme 3 Pro game space performance mode bridges the chipset performance gap for most of the part anyway." Lmao that was funny

  • That was only my second comment on request of someone. Pocofone f1 only beats realme 3 pro in that it has SD 845. Both phones have identical performance. Realme 3 Pro game space performance mode bridges the chipset performance gap for most of the part anyway. Realme 3 Pro has much better cameras, already has Android Q Beta, better battery management, expandable storage and costs much less. And that's the thing. You only get slightly better performance but lower everything else in 70% more money (in my country) in pocofone f1. You can see that currently just about all realme 3 pro competitors are flagship phones. That's all I explained to the person who asked for my help. Not you.

  • I'm sorry but what you're saying doesn't make sense. Are you a shareholder of Xiaomi that you're worried about brand loyalty and other brands making better phones? We don't care which brand made a good phone in low price half a year ago. It's not about brands comparison to begin with. It's about which phone is better worth our money, no matter what brand it is. I will not get anything for choosing to buy a poor quality phone with lots of issues, bad battery timing, bad performance and average camera instead of a phone that works perfectly fine just because I'm about "brand loyalty". That's waste of my hard earned money. PS: redmi note 7 pro came after realme 3 pro so it should be better according to what you said but it isn't.

  • Can we play multiple/2 Bluetooth speakers at the same time using this phone? Bluetooth 5.0

  • Someone keep mention the non-sense again and again. Smartphone are released every week, every month, no point keep saying there are better phone out there, I means, when doesn't? This phone is release way before Realme 3 Pro. If you really can wait, then save your hard earn money buy Pocophone F1, which still beat Xiaomi Mi9T/K20, Realme 3 Pro, Redmi Note 7, albeit the camera may be not as good, but that is very subjective. Then, the rest are the pros and cons of each smartphone. Let's face it, who has ever satisfied with the smartphone they currently owned? A lousy accuse to upgrade to a better smartphone every month, every year? This is a no end race, smartphone on the same price range gets better every year, just that now we have plenty more to choose from instead of letting Xiaomi dominating the market.

  • Where do you live?

  • In my country, redmi note 7 cost more than realme 3 pro. If it falls in your price range, I highly recommend it. It has same camera as OnePlus 6T (sony imx519 exmor rs), Snapdragon 710 which has very powerful GPU, good charging time even without VOOC, runs on latest Android Q Beta OS, good visual experience and very good quality phone except that you should apply tempered glass on it. Only thing it could improve is its battery timing, which is about same or better than its alternatives but not the best in this price. Currently, there isn't any phone that can compete with it in this price range. All of the better phones are flagship ones. Closest to it is Pocofone f1 but it still beats it in battery, OS, Camera, Storage. If you want best battery, you should go for Asus zenfone max pro M2 or M1. They're good overall (M2 is much better than RN7) but not as good as realme 3 pro. If you want a cheaper phone, then realme 3 is also an excellent phone if you don't mind its screen resolution. About Nokia. When they said "you don't have to change your phone", they were mostly referring to its long term support for software updates. Nokia is currently adapting Android One OS with at least 2 years of software support. Personally, this is the ideal OS for me. Otherwise, I don't care about long term updates support because that is just a marketing trick to make people buy the phone. They do make excellent phones but they don't have a "complete package" in this price range. For example, Nokia 8 is a good phone with better chipset than Realme 3 pro in slightly higher price, but it doesn't have as good battery and camera. And the design isn't as good as Realme 3 pro. If they release a phone that can have all those, I would buy Nokia without hesitation because Android One is best for performance and stability and Nokia has good quality.

  • I own a Redmi 5+ (initially redmi note 5). It has been with me for the last 6 months. Excellent performance for it's price range. The only complain i have is that it is slightly bent. I just put it on my pockets and regular use. Once it bent, i forced it to normal, but it bent again in a different fashion. I went to china in may and had those note 7 in my hands (as well as other xiaomi models). They doesn't seem hard enough. The case is made out of cheap plastic, and not the kind you feel strong. It feels like it is going to crack. So, unless you are going to use it with extreme caution, or you want to throw your money away, then those phones, even though their specs are great, are bad choices. What are all those specs good for, if the case or the screen get broken? P.D.: My Redmi 5+ is still bent and working. I switched to another brand before it breaks.

  • In Indonesia, Redmi note 7 4/64 it cost for Rp. 2.599.999 or about 184USD

  • feedback of sounds using imo, tried using earphone and lower the volume of both sides/parties but nothing happens. Any solution please?

  • Low brightness issues in this phone, you have to manually increase the brightness

  • Just bought blue 2 days ago and got white dead pixel

  • nope

  • no

  • no

  • Do we have headset inside the box/package?

  • Wow... I know that both redmi note 7 and note 7 pro have bad cameras by default - especially indoor/low light. But note 7 Pro takes pretty good pictures if you install gcam on it. Xiaomi phones often have these sort of issues at start, but they also get fixed most of the time in updates. I think gsmarena review must be before note 7 pro camera was updated. Its default camera result is same as note 7. Good in daylight, bad in low light.

  • Yes. That's the problem when a phone gets unnecessary updates. Too many bugs. I fixed it by draining battery to 0. Then powered it up again without charging, and then I drained its battery again till it powered off. I kept doing it till it didn't boot up anymore. Then I held down the power button for 20 seconds. And then charged the phone and boot it up. It was fixed. But first try clearing camera app data/cache and also clear dalvik cache. Then reboot your device and see if it's fixed.

  • Bro you mentioned there are better alternatives. My situation is almost like yours, old phone with broken screen(s3), saving money to buy a decent one. Please can you tell me other options if you found after buying this phone. Also, what do you think about the new nokia phones, they are bragging that you dont have to change your phone after buying it.

  • well i bought this phone (4GB Ram version) like two weeks ago, this actually a great budget phone, and the camera is great, good battery

  • Anyone here who has the same issue that when you set your video quality to 720p, there is a black blurry shadow like line across your screen? It's like your pointing the camera in front of a computer monitor. It's not barely visible under daylight.

  • Hey Any one using Sim adaptor in this phone? Or have experince i have many q regard like is using sim adaptor tool in 32Gb fone is harmful ? Plz explain any one is here if ☺

  • My note 7 is not vibrating when call is answered. Someone familiar with this issue?

  • I was surprised reading the both phones review by Gsmarena, they said the note 7 has better camera quality than the pro version specially in low light !!!!

  • Better get realme 3 pro or pocofone f1 instead if they're in your price range. Much better performance, battery and cameras. Note 7 Pro isn't much better than note 7. Their battery timing is pretty much the same as well. Pro has better camera, so if you want choose between them, go for pro. No, better chipset doesn't mean more battery drain. It's the opposite. SD 660 is 12nm, SD 670 is 11nm. The lower the "nm", the more battery efficiency a chipset is - generally speaking. SD 710 & 845 of Realme 3 pro & f1 are 10nm.

  • The version sold in India has 12 and 2 MP rear cameras. Sorry.

  • Guys, Redmi Note 7 4/64GB is sold in Oman for 220$ USD. With almost same price I can get the Pro version 6/128GB from AliExpress. So which one you advise me to go for it ? And Is the Pro version consume more battery because it has faster chip SD670 ? By the way I don't care about the warranty at all.

  • Note 7 Camera Is 12+2 Mp But It's Showing 48Mp Why It's Note Available 6GB Ram Varint Note 7 Camera Performance Very Poor

  • Hanging don't update

  • Hi, can someone please confirm that notifications for Outlook and Microsoft Teams are working properly? Any issues there?

  • hello.. anybody has update v10.3.5.0 PFGMGXM?? a bit review please.. performance.. battery..

  • the only youtube video I saw was a quickcharge 3 + RN7 the RN7 is quickcharge 4.0 compatible so it should be quicker then I think ?

  • Try this

  • Well let me be clear to you. RN 7 uses Snapdragon 660 processor which doesn't support 48MP camera sensor.... But in reality RN7 uses real 48MP camera sensor, Which is why the software in it degrades 48MP to 12 MP and the pictures taken from RN7 doesn't look like the pictures taken by any other 48 MP camera. However the pictures are really magnificent at this price point. Don't hesitate, go for RN note 7.

  • Thanks Mate.... Will it also Work for Redmi 7?... Or do you have the link for that please?... My Girlfriend using the phone, but complains about the Camera

  • Is there a Special settings for the GCAM to make the camera beast?... Because I installed GCAM and there was no Difference between the GCAM and the normal camera. Same quality

  • Naw, that was me. I don't know what your argument is about. I bought this phone for the snapdragon 660. I figured since a Redmi Note 5 and an S2 maintain decent fps at low settings (SD625), perhaps a 660 would be better. And it is. for 1 match. Then it throttles so hard it becomes unplayable. I merely attached a small laptop fan to the area around the fingerprint, which get's hottest. With a few tweaks, the temperature never gets past 43% and therefore, no throttling. Also I use GFX tools to lower resolution to 720p. Aside from PUBG, it is quite a great phone, and GCam makes the camera an absolute beast.

  • You're right. All bad reviews, probably 100s of them here you see about it overheating, lagging, camera, battery, speed were written by me, right? It's frustrating enough I wasted money on it that took me 7 months to save to buy a decent phone for myself after 5 years of using a broken phone from all the sides. I'm literally heartbroken after seeing better alternatives. Someone convinced me for this phone because it gets updates a lot but they don't do anything other than wasting my limited mobile data. I keep hoping there will be a update where its issues will be fixed but I see no difference in 4 months . I don't recommend this phone to anyone that has to work hard to earn enough money to afford this phone. It's not worth experimenting with. I'm stuck with this phone for at least a few years now if it can last that long. All I wanted was a good phone that would last a few years, give good battery and let me enjoy games and my passion of photography. No I'm not the laptop guy. No I'm not the other guy. No I'm not that guy either. No I didn't say realme 3 heats up less. But I watched a game test after reading a little of your people discussion and I also confirm realme does heat up less and play games smoother. I game inside my house in I think , 35-40°C. I don't have air conditioning but it makes no sense why I should have air conditioning to keep this phone from overheating???? I do have a water pump air cooler in my room which probably makes room temperature around 30°C.

  • You so edgy lol

  • maybe with realme 4 release, redmi note 7 price will drop ?

  • and if what? are you the one making comments about attaching a laptop cooler to a smartphone while gaming? youre both anonymous i couldnt recognize whos who. or you are one and the same idiot commenting and agreeing on yourself? where do you game anyway since you are experiencing overheating and slowdown while gaming compared to realme 3? are you in hell or something? dont you have any air conditioner on your house? even an electric fan would not help heating up a device when playing in a high ambient temp environment, even if you have a watercooled device. go ahead, and watch videos again or read comments, to widen your knowledge. your anonymous brother will agree with you. thats what he always did. thats why hes THE expert. lol.

  • The pro version can't record video for more than 5 minutes properly. It starts throttlign.

  • saw on youtube, RN7 quick charge is only 12W (6 volt / 2 ampere) not 18W (6 volt/3 amp or 9 volt/2 amp) what a let down

  • I've same issue since month. It's either battery quality/degradation problem or software bug displaying wrong battery.

  • Your brains couldn't register anything starting from "And if you own it..."? He is correct. I've had this phone for 4 months now. It is not a good quality phone. Poor camera, poor battery, heating too much, screen scratches and lag in games. I don't think this phone even has snapdragon 660. And video recording is a nightmare.

  • System storage of a 128GB model is 13.23GB

  • This phone throttles so hard when playing PUBG that I had to attach an actual laptop fan to the back

  • I didn't because I don't have quick charger, sorry mate :)

  • head to youtube? read reviews? lol now i know you dont really own or tested these devices. you just read opinions, watch some reviews then go to a forum site and show your expertise. what an idiot. realme has good battery because it has a crappy 720p display compared to the 1080p screen of rn7. and no, i did not experience frame drops even once considering that the gpu has to render a full 1080p display compared to the 720p of realme which by the way is only stutterless when set to low mid balance settings. buy the phones and experience it yourself instead of pointing to youtube video craps or opinions from newbie users who dont know what theyre talking about. realme's crappy mali g51 is good for media consumption but is not good enough for real gaming. adreno 512 kicks ass. stop this crap.

  • did you check with usb voltmeter, what is voltage & ampere when RN7 Quick Charge ?

  • Then the QC 3 is not that far from it's performance, thnak you for info tho.

  • Well I really don't know because I don't have it, but I read on some forum that ugreen has quality chargers which support QC4.0, I think it is faster maybe 10-15 minutes than basic charger which comes with phone

  • I think its bug in software, not a faulty battery, otherwise battery timing is ok no issues with it.

  • Does it charge faster tho?

  • I had same dilemma and I bought rn7, it was about 50€ cheaper than A50 and A50 didn't have any better thing to me (camera and battery) so I bought rn7

  • Buy ugreen charger from Ali, it is about 10$ and it supports QC4.0

  • yes im face the same problem.. charge battery 100% and left for 3 minute in idle GPS,WIFI,Bluetooth all off but battery go down 97%? that is normal?

  • What is size of the system storage of 64GB and 128GB model? (Settings > Storage > System storage)

  • Left Right audio When recording a video youre also recording sound (stereo) but the problem is when you watch the video you recorded youre hearing things in the Left when should be on the Right Watch it with earphones and of course wear the earphones correctly

  • 1. Head over to YouTube. RN7 frame drops every now and then in PUBG. If you're bad at spotting it, check the comments because people point out at what time they dropped. And If you own it, then you can confirm it by observing or counting frames whenever you jump, drive a car and look right-left quickly, especially in places where there are more players. That doesn't happen with Realme 3, even on the Helio P60 3GB RAM variant. Not a single thing I say is my an assumption or opinion, only facts. 2. How long does your battery last? Have you ever actually tried testing it? Every Reviewer's battery test of RN7 while playing PUBG is around 4 hours. Again, head over to YouTube or check yourself. 3. I never said color os is good. I don't know enough in-depth details about it (yet) to say it's good. I did say Android One & Stock Android are better. And yes, I've never seen a MIUI OS device that lives up to the battery and performance standards that is expected of its specs - while Color OS does. In that regard, I can say that it's indeed better. What's important is what gives you better usage experience. If MIUI starts doing that, I would switch from saying Android One is better to MIUI is better just as I started accepting that mediatek makes good chipsets now. I don't believe in brand loyalty. I believe in value for money.

  • I am facing a weired issue, whenever i charge my phone to 100% it drops to 97% even if i use it or idle , i have caliberate the battery by discharging the full battery and then recharge it to 100% but still problem exists, i dont what is the issue, why battery is showing this behavior, i want to mention here that battery timing is pretty well.

  • When did realme 3 beated redmi note 7 in pubg? In your dreams? Who said that it lasts 4 hours on pubg ?only you? Color os is better than miui really?

  • Record a video in horizontal then tap the left microphone (that hole next to the headphone jack) then tap the right microphone on the right side of the phone a couple of times then play the video wearing earphones Play the video and you should hear a tapping sound on your left but instead you'll hear it on your right earphone (Im wearing my earphones correct theres just a problem with our phone

  • yup

  • I agree with this. I also bought a QC 3 adapter from xiaomi and the charging time difference was not that significant, but it was just $7 so it's okay, though I was slightly disappointed. I'll just wait for a QC 4 charger from xiaomi then.

  • Guys, RN7 doesn't charge as fast as you think it is. I bought an 18 watt Qualcomm QC 3.0 Charger from Xiaomi itself(ZMi), and the difference is hardly noticeable. But it is faster, I think?

  • Please help with the Link to Download GCAM.... And what it also work for Redmi 7?...

  • Well I'm using a Gcam on my RN7 & it is working amazing than my stock camera. Stock camera is only good in broad daylight.

  • Uh... Bro, from your comment, you don't even know what phones are out there in mid range section. You could literally use this very website to prove yourself wrong. Reviewers don't game for a few minutes. This goes to show you don't look into things much. Reviewers game from 100% to 0%, even if they've to game for 6-8 hours. You didn't even know this much? They've weak GPU, you say? It just so happens that Realme 3 chipset still beats Redmi Note 7 in PUBG performance. Chipset is not the only thing performance depends on. You've a lot to learn. You say you like to game for long time but like a phone that can only play PUBG for 4 hours? Ok....... Helio P60 IS a budget chipset. What are you talking about? Realme 3 is 115 EUR. It's cheaper than any SD 660 phone that comes to my mind and even if there is a SD 660 in same price, I highly doubt it can compete with its over all specs. Chipset is not the only thing performance depends on. That's why Max Pro M2 with underclocked SD 660 beats RN7 in gaming as well as battery (up to 8 hours). Consider finding out "why" your homework and then maybe you'll understand what I'm talking about. It would already tell you why 90% of what you said is wrong. Secondly, the sd 710 realme is Realme 3 Pro. It's not way more expensive. In fact, Redmi Note 7 costs more than it in my country and I still bought it (bad investment). Thirdly, who is comparing realme 3 pro with rn7? I'm only talking about realme 3. Fourthly, I never said anything about VOOC. It was someone else. Realme 3 doesn't even support VOOC. Why would I even bring up VOOC? Don't ignore the full analysis. Realme 3 has a USB 2.0 that charges as fast as or even faster than Redmi Note 7 Type C does, so what is your complaint? Secondly, don't be one of those people that say "ew plastic". If you've doubts about Realme 3 built quality, go see the durability test where it was thrown on hard floor 6 times from the height of 10 feet with hardly any noticeable scratches. Meanwhile, reviews here are full of poor build quality of RN7 in normal usage. I don't root my own devices anymore either. You're mixing me up with esau something guy that kept providing false information, about root support for Realme 3, vooc and everything. Realme 3 comes with latest color OS 6 and runs on Pie and updates are coming on regular basis. Or were you trying to suggest that I should go for a heavy OS that takes up a lot of battery, gives lower performance, shows ads, has bugs just because it has weekly or monthly updates? Miui? If your device works fine, you've no use for updates other than more fancy look and features that you can manually get if you want to. I've had phones that I chose not to update for up to 3 years because I didn't see the point in doing so. Xiaomi doesn't offer software updates for its phone, just miui updates that are worth nothing. Please let me know when you get a miui update that fixes your RN7 battery problem.

  • A50 or RN7?

  • You not only know what you're

  • I know what I'm talking about. I have used those chipsets before and now. Mediatek for me is really underwhelming. I like to game. Their GPU very bad in the midrange section. P60 is good, its gpu is bad. P70? Gpu bad. Price of those phonies? Way more expensive than a 660-equipped phone. Reviewers would say it doesn't heat up. Of course, they game on those only for a few minutes. I play hours. Yeah, I'm talking about your Realme parent OPPO...and VIVO. There's a Realme with a sd 710 right? But you cant compare that with this phone considering its pricepoint. That's why we're here in this phone's comment section, to discuss its equivalent to other offers within the same price point. You dont mention flagship specs on a budget device. There's also a P60 phone within this phone's price segment, but look at its specs. plastic? VOOC you say? it is still usb 2.0. and how much is a VOOC compatible charger right now? Rooting? Flashing? I used to do that. Got tired of it year after year of doing it. SD have way more support than mediatek though. And how about software support? Can your Realme expect long time support from your OPPO grandmother or will it just dish it out once it releases a new phone. And cameras, they have really good looking captures on those. good luck looking like a barbie doll on though.

  • Well, just go through what I said and Google it. There are hundreds of people making videos of battery drain, charging time, performance, FPS in games, drop tests, water proof tests for specific devices - with some multiple devices at the same time so you'd know the variables like temperature are constant for fair results. If you like to have technical understanding then throughly read about the concerned chipsets and other things like how better a Typc C should charge than Micro USB port, about OS, Kernels etc. So you would know what to expect when a phone has a specific spec and when it fails to live up to its promised usage experience. And then put the practical capabilities of that phone to test. To pick the best value for money, compare the practical performance of that device with other devices like RN7, Max Pro M2, Realme 3 or any other competitors that you know of. For issues, you'll have to consult reviews or head over to the official forums. Reading about specific phones on XDA is also helpful as it tells you capabilities of that particular phone as well as in depth problems.

  • I didn't said it did. I only mentioned that its charge time with a normal 10 watt charger with Micro USB is already comparable to RN7 with Typc C quick charger, and is arguably shorter since RM3 has a bigger battery. It was a Mr. Expert that had fact checked everything that said it supports VOOC and would take days to charge with a normal charger.

  • So do I. But then again, what good is a Typc C that works the same as Micro USB lol. What part of it do you not understand? So RN7 charges faster? Tell that to everyone that has done charging time tests on RN7 and Realme 3 and uploaded it on YouTube. PS: I know you're Ewiase. Any other person would have already actually checked it.

  • Exactly the same lol. The Realme 3 charge time I'm talking about is not with VOOC but with a normal 10 watt charger. If it had VOOC, it would take max 1h 20min. Talking about days, I probably charge it only thrice a week and I'm a heavy user. Also, are you sure that your sister has realme 3 pro? I don't own that device (yet) but I know for a fact that Realme 3 Pro takes 2h 20min to charge fully with a normal 10 watt charger. And 1h 15min with a VOOC charger.

  • How to check? Btw sd636 and helio p22 does not perform the same. Helio p22 is closer to sd439

  • Realme 3 doesn't support vooc charger. I think you get confused between realme 3 and realme 3 pro

  • If you are charging without its VOOC charger, tell me how many days does it take to fully charged? Not everyone in the world has VOOC charger. My sister has Realme3 Pro and one day when we went to the beach, she forgot to bring her charger. Yes she managed to find a Micro USB cord but without the VOOC charger, it spent 8hrs for her for to reach 50%.

  • Everuthing you said is misleading. A lot of people care about type c. Realme 3 doesn't charge faster

  • I checked it's biased

  • Facts say that you don't know what you're talking about. You can check if everything I said is biased or true. Google it. Or test your yourself. And nope, I prefer snapdragon chipset since they generally have a better GPU than others (as long as they meet performance standards). That doesn't mean I'm going to ignore the fact that a phone with SD660 performs like SD 636 or Helio P22.

  • I'm open to discussion. Tell me what I said is misleading. I'd love to improve my understanding ^~^ Secondly, did you know Redmi Note 7 with its Type C port takes more time to charge than Realme 3 with Micro USB port? That's some quality gap there. Look it up. Realme even has a bigger battery lol. Also, Micro USB isn't really a disadvantage for half of the world's population because most people carry micro usb cables with them in most countries so you can borrow one to charge your phone if the need comes.

  • I challenge you to put everything I said to test. If you weren't so arrogant, you would have already fact checked everything I said as numerous people test these things and share their founding all over the internet. But your petty pride doesn't allow that. lol i am not and never will be a fanboy of any brand. That's a disease specific to xiaomi and apple users. I had a bad experience with Oppo 4 years ago and refused to buy any phone related to them ever again (realme is related to Oppo) and it was my only purchase from oppo. I've owned more xiaomi phones than realme and you call me their fanboy? I was hesitant to buy realme 3 but after seeing its unmatchable performance, quality and users' experience, I decided to give it a go and loved it. I never like any OS other than Android One & Stock, but realme 3 os works perfectly fine. And please clarify what is wrong with color os? Or what is so good about miui and why it still fails to make redmi note 7 performance good? You can't answer , can you? I've *proved* you wrong over a dozen times now. Even kids these days know more about android than you. Have a good day.

  • Your'e just trying to sell Realme 3 to people. Your information is very misleading. Realme 3 sucks! What year are you living with Realme with its micro USB port? duh~~

  • go ahead and enjoy your fanboysm mr realme fanboy. oppo and realme sucks and coloros sucks too.

  • Yes it's worth it.

  • what the hell is a mediatek enthusiast doing in a snapdragon phone page? go justify your realme fanboy stuff on a proper forum. realme sucks. color os sucks. and you justifying your end doesnt change those facts.

  • Yes, why should people in tight budget care that a 115 EUR phone can fulfill all their usage needs when they can buy a 800 EUR Rog Phone. I agree with everything you said except that RN7 is worth the money. What you said pretty much explains why it's not worth the money, especially for long term use if you know about other phones. It is somewhat better for watching videos than realme 3 but it loses that single advantage for having screen and other issues. Even more since you can get much better visual experience in same price on other phones (Xiaomi Mi A2 lite, Xperia Z5 Premium, LG G7 Fit, LG Q8 2017, Nokia 7.1, Nokia 5.1).

  • Realme 3 can be easily rooted anyways. I'm honestly impressed by your ability to get so much wrong information. You try to sound like an expert but any dev from XDA would be doing a face palm on everything you said. Since you at least have a interest in geeky bits of android, my advise to you is to spend a few weeks or a month to catch up with android phones. Judging by your responses, I'm pretty sure you're going to need at least a month to learn all about it. I'm pretty sure you're a lightweight user. I could probably hand you a sd 450 phone and tell you it's sd 821 and you wouldn't be able to tell I lied, or you would know how bad sd 820 & 821 are. Hell, I can name sd 450 phones that perform better than lg v20.

  • Honestly, it's more like you've failed to keep up with technology after 2015. I sense that in every response you give. So... That means your sd 821 did overheat after all, huh? You're saying both at the same time lol. My LG V20 literally melted. You're hilarious. All you've to do is a google search to find out you're wrong but you'd rather just be in denial. I can't fix that. LG V20 was a great phone other than for its performance thanks to its chipset. Please stop misguiding people. A phone of this price is a big deal to most people that are buying it. It's not the place to massage your ego. And I see you're just a xiaomi fan boy that thinks miui is so great but can't back it up with evidence. Miui in a phone like this might as well be called a defect. Only people that like it are those with zero OS knowledge, just as yourself. Not only do you lack knowledge, the knowledge you do possess is flawed. I'm still waiting for you to answer all my questions about miui & chipsets but now I see you just aren't able to answer. I used rn7 for 18-20 days. When you say "there is no way realme 3 can beat rn7, you're merely throwing around your biased hypothesis that are based on your false knowledge which hasn't been updated since 2015. Realme 3 survived drop tests from the height of 10 feet six times without any damage except hardly visible scratches. It's not waterproof but was placed in water for 1 hour and still worked fine. It can play PUBG without overheating even during charging and in sunlight. Try doing that with your rn7 that everyone is complaining about for quality issues, especially screen, and come back to tell me that rn7 has better quality but you'll probably have to buy a new device to do that lol. So much for "using both in shop". RN7 camera isn't special. Deal with it. Just about any phone in this price offers similar or even better camera experience. I thought you knew a thing or two about OS but you chose rn7 for weekly updates. That's hilarious. I'm not even gonna go in details about it but if your phone isn't a bad one, it would run perfectly same for even 4 years without any update, root or custom OS. I think you just read a little on XDA and started thinking you're a expert of phones now lol. Hm... So you want miui for features but you want root and custom rom to remove its features? I think you're just clowning around at this point. Realme 2

  • Your doubts ars right. It's a hit or miss with xiaomi. Among the ones you mentioned, Honor Play is well balanced so I'd recommend that. LG has better chipset but Honor Play chipset won't fail to meet your performance needs, be as heavy as it may be. But these phones cost significantly more than rn7, no? In rn7 price, best are max pro m2 & realme 3, especially since you want a phone that will last several years. In my country, rn7 cost same as realme 3 pro so also check on that if it's in your budget.

  • What Pre Installed screen protector?... Screen protector didn't come with this phone in my country, and more over I don't like using those.. Takes away sharpness of the screen display

  • I love rooting, and i have does this since my first android phone way back in 2010 which google g1. anytime i try to buy a new phone, the first thing i consider is if i will be able to root when needed and if there are many developments for it when also needed. I hate vivo, oppo, lg and huawei because of these reasons. the last lg phone to end lg's era of developments was G3 and since then lg phones are lacking options to unlock bootloader and root because its too hard to attain root on lg latest phones. I play around a lot, so i always need to twist my phone to its maximum limit. rooting is good and awesome if you have the knowledge of it, and it doesnt demands good or stable software to do it but any good phone becomes so good when you have a root and optimized software

  • Is rn7 3/32 worth it or nein?

  • People here are complaining about how the phone can't handle PUBG on higher settings unlike the Realme 3, it's not even a gaming phone, if you want one then go for the ones advertised as "Gaming Phones". I'm sure some will say "Realme 3 is better than this one and it's cheaper." Then go and buy it. The camera is good even without GCAM, ya'll are just disappointed of the camera because it was advertised as a 48MP camera and it didn't live up to your expectations. My point is that the RN7 is good for casual users, light to medium gamers, camera enthusiasts with tight budgets, and those who are looking for a phone that is worth their money. If you don't mind MIUI and the slightly turning off battery life, the go for this one. If not, then go look for another phone. And one more thing, based on my experience, Redmi Note phones lasts for a long time.

  • How ignorant are you? sd821 is a bad chip because it's not power efficient and overheating problems but in performance it beats every midrange chipset( except for the new sd730) Even sony flagships doesn't compete with other brand's midrange in camera. Yes they make the best sensors but they have the worst processing Color os is stable??? Are you sure did you try it? It has more bloatware than miui with a lot of bugs. More bloatware doesn't means that the phone will have battery draining issues and overheating. The lack of optimization does. Xiaomi phones with Miui performs better than the ones with stock android I didn't see anyone complaining about the performance and overheating for redmi note 7 except you Of course Fhd is better than hd. Do you use your phone only for gaming? Stop complaining and get a life if your phone has some problems you have an 18 month warranty go and use it instead if misleading people with fake numbers

  • Stumbled on this phone today. Looking at the hardware specs vs price, everything seems way too good to be true. I would appreciate to get some genuine thoughts about the phone: I'm mostly curious about longevity and security practices (I have my doubts considering Xiaomi is a Chinese company). Other phones that caught my attention: LG G7 ThinQ, Honor Play. Maybe there are better options for a similar price range I should consider?

  • Wait! Did you remove the pre applied plastic screen protector or you just love bashing?

  • Sony and iphone sucks in camera

  • i can see you started using android phone just last year. who says SDN821 overheats? i used my mi mix for almost 2 years without heating problem unless am in the sun for too long and neither did my v20 with SD820 also heat up a bit. i sold my lg v20 because of lack of update on the side of lg aside it was a good phone. i have owned the redmi note 7 for 3 weeks since my mi mix damaged and i only miss my mi mix for its bezel-less design and large screen.there is no way realme 3 can beat note 7. i played with both phones at the shop and i chose note 7 for built quality, better camera and weekly updates and also rooting. and talking of custom roms and rooting, any long term android user love to do that to get ride of unwanted apps and features and custom roms comes when manufacturer dont provide updates or rom becomes baggy and this is what makes android android. even those with samsung galaxy s10, note 9 and high end flagships does root and instead custom roms

  • Agreed, Y9 isn't a good phone. Nor is any other Huawei in this price, that I know of. But no one wants root or custom OS if the phone works good as it is, unless you want to hack/modify apps. I'm pretty good at tweaking rooted android and I've made several extremely low end devices work going enough to play small games like Asphalt Nitro. Those devices belonged to people with budget of less than $50. Some of these devices was so bad that it took me a full minute just to open settings in their phones. We're talking about mostly single core and max dual core processor phones with 512MB of RAM. So I don't get your obsession with rooting and flashing ROMs on phones of this calibre.

  • You're clearly in denial. Every single thing I said about RN7 & Realme 3 can be easily fact checked by anyone that cares to. The fact that you're comparing SD 821 with SD 660 shows that you've absolutely no idea what you're talking about. SD 820 & 821 are one of the worst chipsets out there. They've serious heating problem which causes it to lag to the point of even melting unless you live in cold weather full year. I bet you thought SD 821 is even better than SD 710 because 821 is a bigger number than 710, didn't you? That's not how it works lol. Even SD 625 outperforms SD 821. I think you're so used to SD 821 poor performance that you can't even tell you're getting SD 636 performance & 3000 mAh battery timing when you're paying for for SD 660 & 4000 mAh battery. You, as well as those who act surprised when someone say RN7 lags. What do you need custom ROMs for if MIUI is so great? Custom ROMs have limited support because developers work on them when they've free time. Realme 3 OS is stable, gives better performance and much better battery than RN7 or any other phone in its price. There is no need for custom ROMs for Realme 3 unlike RN7. The actual term for the *features* you're talking about is Bloatware, which is an annoyance for anyone that knows that just about any *feature* they need can be downloaded from Play Store instead of buying a phone with OS that is full of uninstallable Bloatware, takes more storage, runs more processes in background, shows ads, has poor battery timing and performance, heats up more and so on. How can you call that stability and being "ahead"? Are you going to ignore my point about low-end Max Pro M1 managing temperature and battery better than Xiaomi's flagship phone? FYI: If you want performance and stability then you're looking at the wrong OS. Android One & Stock Android are what you want. You say RN7 is best for gaming. I guess that means it runs PUBG smoothly in HD or higher graphics with 40 to 60 FPS. It doesn't. That's why so many reviews here said they play PUBG on smooth graphics settings in order to get good FPS. Everyone you see complaining about RN7 gaming performance are those that know what SD 660 is capable of. Even SD 625 runs PUBG smoothly if you lower graphics that low or maybe you can't tell when you've bad FPS? Check Max Pro M2. It also has SD 660 but it's underclocked, yet it can run PUBG smoothly in those settings (so can Realme 3) and the battery lasts 7-8 hours in high graphic settings while RN7 lasts 4-5 hours in low graphic settings. Did I mention RN7 heats up more in 1-2 hours of PUBG than Max Pro M2 does in 7 hours of PUBG? Any phone that heats up easily should be a absolute no for gamers. And Realme 3 temperature remains in 30s°C even after 3 hours of PUBG. RN7 camera doesn't compete with flagships phones at all lol. If you want good camera in this price, go for Sony or iPhone. It was supposed to be good but a lot users are disappointed in its camera. Some of them are looking for working Gcam versions for RN7 in hopes of improving it. Just go through the reviews here and you will know. Realme 3 doesn't have the best camera either but it's good for the price. Don't know how it compares to RN7 camera though.

  • Y9 sucks in gaming and there is no bootloader unlocking from the part of huawei anymore so youre stuck with emui forever. i wouldnt dare try if you want custom rom or rooting

  • What do you expect if you treat your phone like a garbage? you place it in your pocket with coins and other metallic materials and you expect it not to scratch? even the yet to announce gorilla glass 7 will not resist. grow up and stop being bias

  • Its the biggest lie ever. Redmi note 7 is the best compare to realme 3. MTK cpus lack support for source codes and due to this, there are no custom roms to start with. Miui is far ahead of coloros in everything, Features, customization, stability and performance, the only issue on miui is ads but thanks to the fact that bootloader can be unlocked and that annoying ads can be done away. camera on redmi note 7 is better in day light and low light conditions and go ahead to compete with some of 2019 and 2018's flagships in terms of night picture quality and even some day light conditions. for gaming and performance wise is also the best for price. It even beat my old mi mix 1's SD 821 in multicore performance. i havent noticed a single lag in gaming or daily usage.

  • Wow, need a screen protector then

  • Which year are you living in? 1. Realme 3's mediatek chipset performs better than redmi note 7 snapdragon chipset. And not only does it performs much better, it's also much more battery efficient. It's not 2015. So what's your point? 2. Since when does Realme 3 has bad cameras? It offers one of the best possible camera experience in this price. It's Redmi Note 7 users that are crying about bad camera and asking for a working Gcam links in hopes of improving it lol. Also, if your concern is camera in this price, you shouldn't buy any other phone than Sony & iPhone (maybe second hand). 3. MIUI is an instant no for people that have even basic OS knowledge. It puts huge burden on chipset, thus lowering the device performance and use more battery. Why do you think Asus ZenFone Max Pro M1 with only SD 636 (14nm) gives more battery & heats up less than Xiaomi PocoFone F1 with SD 845 (10nm) chipset on same graphic settings in PUBG in same room temperature? Actually, do you even know what nm has to do with everything in this question? Smart people prefer Android One & Stock Android OS over any other OS, except maybe custom OS like lineage. Color OS is still much better than MIUI in this regard. 4. If I were to show you HD & FHD phones one at a time, you wouldn't even be able to tell them apart. People are using GFX tool to reduce their FHD resolution to 960x540 (qHD) to play PUBG smoothly on Redmi Note 7 and you think Realme 3 having HD 720x1520 resolution is bad when it can play PUBG smoothly on HD? Lastly, what's there to be happy about RN7 having FHD screen when half of the users are reporting problems with its screen and you can't even play PUBG smoothly without lowering the resolution and other graphics? Maybe if the only app you know about is YouTube, your point could be valid, but even then, I can name a several better phones for that in this price.

  • How cheap are you! Get a tempered glass for your screen. Done.

  • Gg3 is more scratch resistant than gg5. Gorilla glass's aim is not scratches. Just watch jerryrigeverything and you'll see that all glasses scratch at level 6 with deeper groves at level 7

  • Huawei y9 trust me dude

  • You are right.... They said it has Anti-Scratch feature, upon that a Gorilla Glass 5... But yet, my phone screen already has some scratches that has refused to go away... Frustrating

  • please don't waste money to buy this handset because my personal experience is that this company is using cheap quality Corning Gorilla glass. My handset is getting already scratches on the display.

  • This phone is the best when you are just casually using it.

  • Redmi Note 7 128gb is overpriced locally Price needs to be reduced

  • Nope. I just want to help people make best use of their money and it just so happens that RN7 is a waste of money. Put its performance, battery and quality to test and then compare it with Realme 3. If you have RN7, you will feel bad about buying it too. I've used both of these phones (RN7 for 18-20 days) and RN7 costs 30-40% more in my country than Realme 3 when it's far below in comparison. And yes, Nokia 5.1 Plus performance & battery timing is same as RN7 in PUBG, but Nokia has better quality as well. Don't know about camera so I'll give Redmi benefit of doubt.

  • Phone and soft is good, But the screen glass is rubbish. My wifes phone has already some scratches on the screen. GorillaGlass 5 myass :D

  • Hi for back cover which is black, is it still made of glass?

  • Dumb? Realme has an hd display mediateck chipset and worse camera. And most people prefer miui over color os(but I didn't try it)

  • Redmi Note Note 7 128gb, way overpriced here, Waiting for the price to drop.....

  • Are you the same one that says redmi note 7 is bad due to miui and nokia 5.1 plus is better? If yes ignore this guy. He is just a hater. Nite 7 is fine

  • lol or don't be dumb enough to buy RN7 when you can buy realme 3.

  • Anyone noticed its weired working of light sensor?

  • Yes. It's a good phone

  • I am a normal user.. should I buy Redmi note 7? I don't play game like pubg.

  • xiaomi has to release without issues to global community, but in india they can shitup sometimes.

  • for gaming you should buy ROG phone, Shark, Nubia red magic 3.

  • This is a good phone

  • Hello what you need to do is go to settings__lock screen & password__manage face data__ and then DISABLE(STAY ON LOCK SCREEN AFTER UNLOCKING).That should do it.

  • The phone is very slow even it has sd 660 a1 and pubg gameplay is very bad fhd+ display bt gameplay is in just high definition, evn not in extreme in smooth, and sometime the mobile hangs and too much lags......... and i try so many mobiles the redmi is best in price but as we see in performance the redmi are very bad as compared to oppo vivo, the processing of other mobile companies are far better than redmi devices

  • Yes it supports U can use dual volte on this phone

  • Thank you for this I decided to go for Realme 3. I will check if they are the same price with max pro m2.

  • Only on paper. It did a great job forcing other brands to make good low priced phones but in my eyes, that's where its role ends. My advise is to go for Realme 3 or if you can afford Realme 3 Pro, that would be perfect. If you don't want Realme 3, go for Asus ZenFone Max Pro M2 but it's not as good as Realme 3 Pro. Otherwise, there is also Realme X with supposedly better camera but I haven't looked in to specifics of that phone yet. Redmi Note 7 battery timing is really really bad if you place heavy load on it like gaming, using too many apps at once, browsing with many tabs open and so on. I believe it's thanks to MIUI. 4 hours of PUBG on a 4000 mah battery phone is a insult to customers. You might as well buy Nokia 5.1 Plus instead with same battery timing but better performance. Its quality is nothing like it was advertised. Check drop tests and heating tests of Realme 3 & Asus ZenFone Max Pro M2 to see what a good quality phone should be able to bear. This phone heats up quite easily while charging as well as during PUBG if you play for more than an hour, while Realme 3 doesn't even hit 40°C after 2-3 hours of PUBG. If you're a gamer, you should never ever buy a phone that heats up easily because Android has a safety mechanism that locks your chipset performance to as low as 30% to avoid damage to components - and thus the lag, crash, random shut downs and screen damage. MIUI has too many unnecessary processes running in background, including the process that is responsible for showing you ads. The more unnecessary processes go on in background, the less the power the chipset has to spare for tasks a user asks the phone to perform - which also forces the chipset to use more battery. Stock Android and Android One OS are made to be as close as possible to original Android. This is why they are considered most stable, provide best performance and best battery life.

  • Nah... If you're expecting its battery to last more than a 3000mah battery phone, you're gonna be disappointed. Only buy this phone if you're a loyal Xiaomi customer. Check Realme 3 Pro, Asus ZenFone Max Pro M2 or Realme 3, otherwise. All of them have great performance, OS speed, battery, cameras and solid built quality comparable to Nokia 3310. There is also Realme X. Though I prefer iPhone or Sony phones for camera, these are quite impressive as well.

  • That doesn't sound like "Smooth" at all lol. An SD 660 phone should be able to run PUBG on HD graphics with high frame rate, butter smooth. Check PUBG gameplay on Realme 3 to compare. There are actually SD 636 phones like Asus ZenFone Max Pro M1 that can pull that off. Oherwise, even Adreno 505 can play PUBG smoothly in smooth settings. And that would cost 30-40% of its price.

  • Anyone who has a Redmi Note 7? How do you remove the "swipe to unlock" in the home screen? Each time you open through fingerprint or face recognition, you still have to swipe the screen to unlock it fully. I find it annoying. Is there a way to remove this?

  • Yes, it can, just don't expect the battery to last long.

  • Can it play mobile legends high setttings smoothly?

  • What is the link to download GCAM for Redmi Note 7 ?

  • I want to know if jio sim supports in this phn or not

  • casual usage evey 3 days need to be charge

  • I was wondering if the note 7 has hot knot, as I know there's no NFC.

  • A30: super amoled and wide angle camera Redmi note 7:build camera performance and audio

  • Redmi Note 7 or Samsung Galaxy A30?

  • Is it supports gcam ?

  • Oh, I see. Not as great as I thought. I was thinking 8 hours at least for whole day.

  • Very smooth in PUBG, specially if im using gfx tool... its fine on medium graphics but I care on frames more than graphics... so I would still probably set it on lowest possible settings even on high end phones.

  • I just bought this RN7 Global version and I don't know why you guys are complaining about the battery. Its 4000mah is good and could last throughout the day, without the heating or the fast draining issue.

  • Don't worry redmi note 7 is a great phone for gaming. But don't expect to play high end games at max settings

  • As you mention in the good chipset it includes SD 660 then it has 4000mah. So can RN7 also good? I have 2nd thought on RN7 as I see some comments with heating issue and battery disappointments.

  • NFC?

  • i have 2nd thought in buying this coz of this issue

  • Thank you for this.

  • My budget is within those range only. :(

  • Note 7 because of bigger battery and headphone jack

  • both are not really gaming phones... if u mean playerunderground games and that then u should buy something better like pocophone..

  • Redmi note 7 or Mi 8 Lite for gaming? And why?

  • I own a redmi 5 plus. I felt i needed to upgrade my handset and note 7 durability test ( cracking walnuts) really got me hypnotized. Now that i have iT, I still prefer 5plus over this. Battery & camera are two big deal breakers. 4000 mAh? Thats a big fat lie!! Xiaomi is set to go downhills if it highlights a gimmick (48 mp camera) mainly to guarantee huge sales. Gonna return it ASAP.

  • The best mobile ever! I bought 3 days ago, blue color. I have a version 4GB RAM and 64GB storage :) Global version.

  • Anybody can link to download Gcam for Redmi Note 7S for CPU SD 660 & with Samsung GM1 sensor? I'm from India.

  • 6 hours max, gaming and casual usage.

  • Yes, near the USB-C port

  • What SOT do you guys usually get with this phone?

  • thanks

  • yes a very small at the bottom.

  • Yes at bottom right corner of front display.

  • Yes

  • Is there an led notification light?

  • Which is better? Samsung M20 or Redmi Note 7? Thanks!

  • I really want to be sure if your unit is working and shows Glo NG 4G? Glo NG uses band 28, which most phones don't support, Even Xiaomi don't hv more than 5 of its phones that support 4G band 28. But Xiaomi claims that RN7 48mp global version support band 28 of recent not from onset. I want to believe the first batch of RN7 48mp global version doesn't support band 28. I am waiting for the batch that does support band 28. So guy if yours is showing 4G with glo sim, kindly tell me where u bought urs, thanks.

  • I am not satisfied with its light sensor. It does not work properly, like it dims down the birghtness very low where i need a much high brightness. This time redmi disappointed me with its display and light senor quality

  • You are asking aed 700dhirams vs aed 1000 dhirams.

  • Dude,y9 has not mention display protection, and it has micro usb 2.0 this is older generation dude, and you will not get update from google in the future.

  • My redmi note 7 4gb 64gb global version black is so good am fully satisfied,i was sleep at 10 pm with 42% ,when i wake up in the morning at 6 am battery will reach 38%,.its normal guys, relax

  • On the stock charger, around 2 hours 0-100%, but QC 4 saves like an hour so, try buying one.

  • There's nothing you can do about it bro, I got the same prob for 3 RN7s. I think it's because of the software, the battery doesn't feel like 4000mAh right?

  • Turn off all ads option ,turn off location, goto developer option and make animation window scale 0.5x.

  • And note 7 has better speaker and audio quality

  • I mean the battery is of course good, it can last a whole day, but is it just me or when you leave it for like 30 minutes of longer it drains 1-3%, but overnight it doesn't drain as much. And also just listening to music(wi-fi off, screen off) for just 3-5 musics drains 2-5% already. But yeah it sure is a good phone.

  • i bought on yesterday and my battery is draining fast what to do

  • i used them both note 7 has a better camera, smaller, and very smooth use y9 battery is better it charge faster, a biger screen for watching but annoying in pocket, easy to hold in hand both are pretty good for daily use

  • Who is better Redmi note 7 or Huawei Y9(2019)?

  • Redmi note 7

  • You are right my redmi note 7 also reaching 45 degree or above during charging, i think its because of external temperature also because we are facing 40 41 degree temperature in these days. The only problem i m facing is its light senor, it dims down the brightness too much low that i have to increase it manually.

  • Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 or Oppo A7?

  • Hi, is the 48mp mode accessible from Google cam?

  • Dude install gcam from website, you will satisfied. Believe me

  • Require attention of users of RN 7, anyone tell me its charging time?

  • Dude but my rn7 is only goes upto 35degree while charging.

  • Friend ,redmi note 7 4gb 64 gb global version ,this mobile support all band of ur nigeria telecom simcard.

  • Go to the setting Then system app then call setting then open incoming call setting then turn on proximity sensor .

  • But i am fully satisfied of my redmi note 7

  • But on my redmi note 7 global version its work nicely.

  • Is it just me or my RN7 drains battery faster thank it should be? It's my 3rd RN7 and I still don't feel it's a 4000mAh phone. Is it because of the recent update of MIUI?

  • Battery life is not good, and drains after 6 hours continuos use(games,netflix,youtube,etc.).

  • It is becauce the proximity sensor is off-centered. It can be found 1-2 cm to the right of the front facing camera that is if you are facing the screen of your phone.

  • Redmi Note 7

  • guys opinion on new MIUI update?

  • Redmi Note 7 is 100 times better than samsung. :)

  • Hi Redmi note 7 or samsung A7 2018?

  • Here is some links to photos taken with the Redmi Note 7. These are REAL, full size photos taken with the Redmi Note 7. The only editing is the info text. The bottles were taken on a pallet, so a metre or so from the phone in photo mode. They look ok until you make them 100% of size. The ones across the room were done in the Pro mode. Again, use your favourite photo editor & make them 100%. Sadly, VERY unimpressed.

  • guys opinion on new MIUI update?

  • I think redmi note 7 is quite a good smartphone with it's good quality. It has dual sim option and dual camera which is 48MP and front camera 13MP . It can read finger print which makes more security . It's battery is quite large and fast charging .It has 64GB memory which is enough but video option quite limited . Its screen quite large but it's catching is too slippery . The color variations are quite good . And the most important thing is Redmi extends the warranty offer handset with six additional month .

  • Anyone observed that ambient light sensor automatically do the brightness very low in low lights, i mean it does it low very unusa way. Its not much dark place for lowering the brightness

  • I don't think so. I think this device will be comfortable for internet users.

  • Thanks .. That's reason make me prefere redmi note 7.. The burn in screen ! Even if I will buy a device _note 8_ doesn't have this problem , it possible will have it in future. Add to that , the battery ! Almost a used battery won't be like the battery in the new redmi note 7. I'm really in love with redmi note 7 , but the pen in Samsung note 8 killing this love .Should I sacrifice the beauty for the pen ??? Thanks again.

  • I think if it had a better chipset then that would appeal more towards the gamer customers . What do you all think about it ?

  • @anonymous: Thanks, forgot about the sunlight value from the review! Hmm, not too sure a matte screen protector would improve things.

  • If you're going to buy the Note 8 (used), as any AMOLED screen, make sure that you can check the panel yourself as AMOLED is still known to have burn-in (esp. the status and navigation bar) and especially the Note 8 was also known to have a reddish hue (apparent to its Pentile matrix display) when displaying white.

  • The sunlight contrast ratio reveals that despite the high maximum brightness, the reflective surface of the screen might obstruct the visibility in a bright sunny day.

  • Check Jumia

  • Does this phone display have good sunlight legibility? A bit worried about a glossy screen in Singapore.

  • Wow, thank you a lot! I'll look into these phones you've named and what you told me. I have a kinda limited market in my country (Argentina) and it's pricey so I'll have to adapt, but really, thank you. Have a nice day.

  • same here and it gets so hot when i plug it to charge and when i'm playing games ..i'm so not satisfied with my phone tbh

  • Help me My redmi note 7 call sensor dont work, when I place the mobile to ear light remain on...

  • much much better by redmi note 7

  • I am confused between A50 and Redmi Note 7 pro help me bro

  • You were making Sense until your last Paragraph... Contrary to what you are saying, Redmi Note 7 is decent enough to handle anything you wanna use it for... I'm using it and my PUBG runs smoothly without any issues, and the Battery is Amazing

  • Galaxy Note 8

  • To answer your question: Good chipset in this price: SD 710, SD 660, Helio P70, Helio P60, Kirin 970, Kirin 980. Some medium ones include: SD 636, Helio P23, Kirin 960 Anything lower than these is too weak. RAM: It's a myth that more RAM means better performance in any way. More RAM only improves multitasking, provided that the app's RAM needs are already met. So basically, a 10GB RAM phone won't run PUBG smoother than 3GB RAM phone on same graphics, with same chipset. That being said 3 or 4GB RAM are most you need. Anything above that is wastage of money. Battery: Newer chipset are more battery efficient than old ones, which is mostly noticeable in heavy usage like during gaming. SD 835 with 3000 mAh battery lasts as long as SD 435 with 4000 mAh battery on PUBG. I suggest going for 3500 mAh battery with any of the good chipsets I mentioned above. Verdict: I suggest to go for Realme 3, 3 Pro, X or Asus ZenFone Max Pro M2 instead of any of the phones you mentioned. If not, look for newer phones with SD 710 or chipsets that are close to it. Since you want battery life, you'll be very disappointed with redmi note 7.

  • I'm confused between redmi note 7 and used samsung note 8? help me decide ..

  • Moto g7 power

  • Thanks a lot..

  • Hey, I would like to ask for opinions since I'm not very inteligent in the smartphone area. I used to have a Moto G6, liked it a lot, I want a phone kinda like that. Been seen lots of reviews but can't make my mind, which one y'all recomend; Redmi Note 7, Redmi Note 6 Pro, Mi A2 or other? I'm searching for battery life, 4g ram and good procesor. Thanks a lot!

  • Thanks. But we don't have it here in Nigeria

  • Neither. Realme 3 Pro.

  • i was once in this position. An honest and sincere answer is the Redmi Note 7. The samsung has some software issues although an update has been made but it if wasn't ok from the onset it can't be perfect with just an update.

  • Please, I need a sincere opinion. Which do you recommend, Redmi Note 7 or Samsung A30?

  • No he won't because if he does then all Chinese phone will team up and will make another os which will be a nightmare for American companies and he knows it

  • you better stay away from China phone for the time been, Trump may extend the ban to all the China brand. Better get a iPhone, if you can't afford then a Samsung, LG or Motorola.

  • Those other Redmi phones you've been using, do they support Glo band 28? No I don't think so.... Because you can't use band 28 doesn't make it useless... Get yourself MTN or Airtel sims. After all the phone uses dual SIM... I'm using the phone and I'm Loving it

  • Yes, I hv the global version. On the pack it's has global version sticker on it. And it's 48mp version.

  • Yes,I used the charger that came with the device ,the original Xiaomi one. I think I might have to go back to the phone shop. Am really disappointed

  • Heating, screen and body issues are common is Redmi Note 7. Especially heating.

  • Realme 3 or Realme 3 Pro

  • Sometimes I keep using it,but even when not charging it can reach up to 38 degrees ,am really disappointed . I've never had this problem with Xiaomi before .

  • Are you sure that you have the global version?

  • The Difference are 64 has more storage than 32,... And 4 has better ram management than 3... It's that simple!!! Doesn't mean 3/32 is bad, but 4/64 is better

  • Can someone please help me by choosen the best phone XIAOMI REDMI NOTE 7 VS HUAWEI HONOR 8X

  • What is deferent Between 3/32 storage 4/64 Only storage deference? Not only performance also

  • i prefer to join samsung

  • I was used to a QHD Amoled before using this phone and I gotta admit I dont miss it that much, only the blacks are waaaaay deeper on the oled, but that aside, im quite satisfied.

  • That's definitely not normal. Do you use the default charger? Do you keep using the device while charging it? I always turn off mine before I charge it and it gets kinda warm with the default charger, but it never gets that hot. Also, make sure to charge it in a fresh place always.

  • Am in Nigeria, I bought Redmi Note 7 global version 4/128gb from one of Xiaomi Nigeria partners shop. I am quite disappointed as the phone doesn't support 4G band 28 as Xiaomi claims. The phone is useless for me cos am already using Mi Note 3 6)128gb and Mi 5s plus 6/128gb, I went for the Redmi Note 7 4/128gb in hope of the 4G band 28 only to be disappointed. Anyone using Redmi Note 7 working with band 28?

  • hi, I bought this phone yesterday and it's terrible. It reaches 43 degrees Celsius while charging. I don't know if there's something wrong with this phone,or that this is the normal temperature for the phone. Am really disappointed. what is your opinion?

  • Hey guys I seriously want to buy this but Samsung offering amoled displays makes me wanna join the Samsung camp. How's the display in RN7? I don't expect it to be top notch but is it at least above average?

  • In xiaomi original site, it is said that the ram is 4 GB!! why writing 6 GB?!

  • Overall Realme is better, but im pretty sure that xiaomi will have better support and sys upgrades.

  • Realme 3 pro of course

  • Please suggest note 7 (global) or realme 3 pro which is better overall? Its almost same price in our country.

  • I bought this phone 2 months ago and it is crazy good for it's prize. Great camera, in both night and day mode, but you do need to stay still for the best picture. Honestly everything is good about it, the phone supposedly has no water resistency but it doesn't malfunction when you use it with slightly wet hands. Talking about hands, the fingerprint scanner is also really good and quick. I switched from Iphone 8 (because it was stolen and I didn't have the money to buy another) and the pictures on apps like Snachat and Instagram do seem to be of lower resolution, but I've noticed this is an Android thing. Moreover some standard apps come double (Google and Xiaomi calendar) but they can be deleted. All in all I would give this phone a 9.5/10.

  • big possibility its screen bleeding, call service centre for replacement is the only solution

  • of course note7, note7 almost at a50 level not a30 level

  • if you dont mind the price difference, a50 overall better than note 7

  • I am using the Chinese version in Nigeria, but I haven't gotten the prompt for update to 10.30.5 Is the update only for the Global version???

  • So why does they recall the update I'm unable to find it now

  • Help, there is different shade of black colour on the right side of screen, approximately 1/5 or 1/6 of the entire screen all the way from top to bottom, seems like it's wiped in different direction (but it's not, I tried everything, even blowing on it, but the difference just show more). Idk if it's from screen protector or screen itself?

  • Redmi Note 7

  • If you care for Camera you can still go for this Device... GCAM will fix your Problem

  • Nothing is wrong with it... I'm on the latest update and my phone is perfectly fine. Battery is excellent

  • Xiaomi will be next in the line on Trump chopping board

  • Hi this may be asked a lot, but give me your honest opinion please. Redmi note 7 or A50

  • It's ok, I don't have any problem with it

  • Hey guys, has anyone downloaded the new Mi ui v10.3.5.0 update for Redmi note 7 i wanna know if its worth downloading and has it any downsides thanks

  • Battery life is reduced by approximately 20%! If i were you, i would skip this update and wait..

  • i have bought this phone for three month. every thing is ok including battery, display, beauty, ....... but the worst thing about the phone is camera. main camera and selfie both are not wide enough compared to their famous opponents. also it is very hard to get pictures in real colors(most of the times unreal colors) you cant get satisfying pictures in standard mode and you usually have to do it in advanced mode. very poor pictures in low light for both main camera and selfie. high distortion in selfie camera you can get good pictures in medium light environment at the end if you care about camera do not by Redmi note 7, else it is a good phone

  • A30 vs redmi note 7...which is better

  • Very good specs and performance for a mid ranger! Worth the money guys!

  • Hey guys, has anyone downloaded the new Mi ui v10.3.5.0 update for Redmi note 7 i wanna know if its worth downloading and has it any downsides thanks

  • no i don't find it :/ . so a50 ?

  • realme 3 pro or redmi note 7 pro if it available in your country

  • dont know about the price in your country, but in my country with that money you can get realme 3 pro 128gb/6gb model, it is superior compared to redmi note 7

  • samsung A50 vs xiaomi REDMI NOTE 7 ???????,

  • hi guys has anyone noticed that after taking a portrait with the front facing camera using GCAM the image FLIPS(what was on the right appears on the left).why is this happening?why are the selfie portraits not appearing as they were taken?

  • You just install it. No special requirements. There’s a website where you can get all the modded Gcam.

  • Can someone tell me, with all in mind, is this a good choice for 240$ (128gb version where I live)? And no, I can't pay anything more than 250$.

  • this xiaomi note 7 have some issues or problem ?

  • Trump will make his move on other China brand as well, Soon Xiaomi, Oppo, Lenovo, One Plus, Realme, Vivo, ZTE, Coolpad will be ban by Google, Your only safe bet is Samsung as South Korea are known to be US Allies aka lackey.

  • Thanks for that insight, please did you have anhy issues powering the phon for the first time? how did you replace the stock with gcam?

  • Good Moring, i just bought a Redmi note 7 global version phone, are is there any precautions i need to know when booting it for the first time?

  • Huawei is going to have some Google compatibility issues in the near future, Xiaomi may be a safer bet. Currently selling my Honor 8x to get back to Xiaomi to avoid these issues.

  • go to beauty mode and turn off

  • Budget king of 2019. Loving it

  • No

  • no, sd 710 is the minimum, some sd 675 like reno7 pro can play it, but with really bad experience

  • 100$ more is 30% more but overall experience is 5x higher..

  • Can I play fortnite on the redmi note 7 6GB RAM version?

  • which is better redmi note 7 or honor 8x ?

  • Get Realme 3. Y7 2019 chipset is very weak so not recommended for gaming. Xiaomi doesn't have quality products as you've seen with your brother's RN7. Mi A2 is nice but it's missing half of the phone, card slot, earphone jack etc.

  • Don't buy huawei y7 2019, i bought huawei y6 2018 so many problems

  • Nokia x5 gameplay is great?

  • I have a Mi A2 and will change it for a Redmi Note 7 because: -RN7 has a 4000 mAh battery vs 3000 mAh on Mi A2 and Mi 8 Lite -RN7 has a more premium construction (teardrop notch and glass on the back vs Mi A2's large bezels and metal on the back) -RN7 has better cameras (specially if you install the Google Camera Port, which is effortless on RN7 and requires rooting Mi A2 or Mi 8 Lite) -only RN7 has a 3.5mm headphone port

  • Some Redmi Note 7 Global Version have 4G B28 (700 MHz).

  • Go for Samsung if you are concerned about the sar value

  • It's stunning. When it turned up volume to the max my headphonesalmost sounded like little speakers. Quality is perfect too.

  • please what is the sound production like when used on headset?

  • I have got 2 Xiaomi phones in my fam. RN3 which is 3 yo and works perfectly fine save for the battery and RN4 which is a couple of months short of 2 yrs working as good as new. Never had any problem with the devices. Got a faulty RN 4 at delivery but Xiaomi exchanged it.

  • I did compare. I saw drop tests where Realme 3 was dropped from 10 feet height and was perfectly fine. I owned a Samsung for 5 years without protection/case and drop test it myself, once from the height of 7-8 feet and it was fine for most of the part. Its paint at the side/frame starting coming off after years of drops. Max Pro M2 also survived drop tests from 6 feet height at all angles. And it also worked fine after being placed in water for 1 hour even though it isn't water proof. I've never been impressed by Huawei so I never looked into them in depth (except for their idea of putting a buffer in Kirin 710 to boost its performance).

  • The radiation is still inside the limits set. It doesn't really matter.

  • No one Speaks about the radiation. What is the SAR Value? I've heard that MI phones have higher radiation. I'm doubting shall I buy a MI NOTE 7 OR SAMSUNG A30?

  • Consequence of MIUI. Not "problem". There are underclocked SD 660 that are faster than RN7 because unlike MIUI, their OS isn't taking half of their chipset performance & capacity while also displaying ads. Pure android based OS like Android One & Stock Android are much lighter which means less battery consumption and less load on chipset, thus, more performance & battery to spare for tasks the user places on them.

  • Never had a single problem with total of 13 Nokia, Samsung and Oppo phones in my household (still got 5.1 Plus). Some of them became children playthings and last up to 5 years without issues before I decided they should be upgraded. I had problem with all 3 of my Xiaomi phones within months to 2 years (one used to overheat at room temperature then died within months, other two suffered serious battery degradation after 6-18 months). Their customer support admitted I was given defective phones but refused to replace any of them even though they were on warranty. I agree 300% with OP about Xiaomi's poor quality & customer service. If RN7 develops issue, it will be my last purchase from Xiaomi ever. I see its battery is already disappointing but I'm mainly interested in its cameras. I don't know why it is but I've noticed Xiaomi fans are very desperate to portray other brands to be just as bad as Xiaomi. Even you searched down a single bad review of defective phone that no one even mentioned here just to counter OP's statement in favour of Xiaomi. Remember that Nokia phones are not as cheap as Xiaomi. If it had issues like you or the reviewer you mentioned claim it does, it would never be among top brands in so many parts of the world (or beat Samsung as mentioned by OP). It's common sense.

  • My brother bought it yesterday and it got a glitch that was gone when he restarted it. So now I don't know if I want to buy Xiaomi Mi 2, Redmi Note 7 or Huawei Y7 2019

  • Asus phones have better build quality than note 7 that's true But just check other devices not only xiaomi and asus watch samsung, huawei and realme durability tests and than you will know that xiaomi has good build quality

  • I have an argument against nokia Go and and check the comments

  • Any touch problems?

  • I have just copied this comment from nokia 6.1 plus "I bought NOKIA 6.1 PLUS Janu 1st week 2019.After 3 month I was unable to power on the phone. One of my friend also got like this. Please dont wast your money and time for NOKIA phone.Thanks." You can check nokia phones comment section and you'll find a lot of complaints. Go and check also samsung m20 and samsung a50 you will see them talking about hearing problems battery drains fast bad gps and poor network connection. And I have watched a reviewer called techalter talking about nokia phones that are always released with bugs

  • Poco f1 or Redmi note 7 .

  • redmi note 7

  • That's not a MIUI problem as MI 9 performs better than many phones with larger batteries. I'm thinking it's either a snapdragon issue or Xiaomi doesn't optimize their mid-rangers in terms or firmware. But nothing wrong with MIUI itself.

  • About x5, yes, I'm sure. As I hinted earlier, OS & Kernel set up are big factors in determining performance & battery. OS takes a lot from device's performance so the less heavier it is, the better (Android One/Stock) and Kernel affects how the device will manage the load placed on it (some favour multitasking, others may favour heavy foreground activity like gaming). About its chipset, you'll be surprised how many devices are underclocked, so don't panic every time you hear this word. Do panic when you see MIUI written somewhere though. 5.1 Plus gameplay is great.

  • Samsung a30 , Mi A2 ( Mi 6x ) , Redmi Note 7 Or Mi 8 Lite Which one is better ? Gonna buy tomorrow .

  • + they can compare the build quality of RN7 with other phones by putting it to test. Just like battery. RN7 was most mocked for its false promise/advertisment about RN7 quality where they smashed a watermelon with it but got damaged easily in drop tests. (See Max pro M1 & M2 build quality tests to compare).

  • A50 is way out of price range to compare. I guess you were making a point. How did they compare FPS? RN7 has minor hiccups while playing PUBG on high graphics (such as during driving) but they're likely to be overlooked by normal users. As for the issues I mentioned, they are all from the reviews on this very website. It's called a defective product. so it's not necessary for *all* of their phones to have it but beware that it's possible that yours may - and in Xiaomi phones, that "may" is quite frequent. Your friends will learn about its build quality with time Aside from slower performance and ads due to MIUI, RN7 battery is indeed disappointing. That was not a defect but a result of having MIUI. Generally, a 3000 mAh phone to lasts around 4 hours in PUBG. RN7 should last at least 5.5-6 hours. Max Pro M2 lasts 7-8 hours & Realme 3 lasts 6-7 hours (they don't have those hiccups either). OS & Kernel play a very important role in a device's performance. About Kirin 710, your guess is half right. If I remember it right, they threw in a buffer to help it along but do remember it can't overcome the hardware shortcomings - only push it harder. The thing you should understand about chipsets is that games are often optimised for specific chipsets for better performance. For example, Helio P23 runs PUBG good enough on high graphics but it fails to run some less heavy games like Asphalt 9 smoothly (at the time I looked into it) and couldn't handle PUBG that well either at first. Kirin 710 is not only a average chipset that is just being pushed harder to perform well but is also just a Huawei - an uncommon chipset. If you also take into account that you want or *can have* a phone that can handle heavy games in coming 2-4 years, you'll definitely not find it to be that reliable - chipset wise.

  • I'm pretty sure I know what I'm talking about since I gave 4+2 years of my life studying and 3.5 years working in this field. If you're done with personal attacks, try reading my previous reply again. "A lot" does not mean "all" - if it meant that, you would have never heard of Xiaomi. I was referring to the ratio of defective phones of Xiaomi vs other brands. It's a fact that that a lot of Xiaomi reviews have at least one or more battery, heating or screen issue reported per page or two. There are 4000 mah battery Xiaomi phones that used to last up to 2 days when they came out but not even a full day after a year of use. You keep calling Nokia mediocre but don't have a single constructive argument against them. It's up to you where you want to invest your money. I'm just here to help those that have questions. And I understand brand loyalty but don't try to delude others - because spending $200 on a phone is a big deal for far more people than you might think.

  • I really need to know if this phone have a LTE bands 4 and 7, because are very important here, in Argentina

  • better you compare it with a50 even though a50 more expensive than note 7, a40 suited for someone looking for compact mobile

  • I have 2 friend which is have note7 and a50, both of them are pubg player and they are often playing together. They are already test it at smooth + extreme setting, note7 still have slightly better fps compared to a50, but for batt life a50 slightly better than note7. And also both of them doesnt have any issues like what you said (overheating, screen bleeding, poor build quality, disappointing battery). So you still insist that x5 have better performance than note7? and dont forget that x5 using downclocked p60 for the global version. And about kirin 710, how you can say it is not reliable at all? because it is use weaker gpu compared to helio p70/p60/exynos 9610? Afaik if you talk about pure cpu performance, sd 660/710, helio p60/p70, exynos 9610 and kirin 710, all of them have almost comparable performance.

  • Should i buy 64GB or 128GB? And is there any better xiaomi phone that costs around same price?

  • PK, now you proved you don't know what you're talking about. They "develop overheating over first year"? You realize what nonsense this is, right? Either they are overheating or not. My Redmi is 1.5 years old and has no issues. On the other hand, i've read reviews about Nokia phones and not only they are mediocre at everything, but they don't have less issues than any other brand. Nokia WAS known to have less issues. Current Nokia is just another mediocre wannabe

  • Samsung Galaxy A40 or Redmi Note 7?

  • I also agree with you bro

  • I beg to differ. Nokia is known for providing one of the best quality phones, customer service and long term OS updates. To top it off, most recent ones run on Android One - the best OS for anyone that understands that any bloatware apps they require can be downloaded from Playstore. Among the international brands, Xiaomi is among worst in terms of quality and customer service. If you check reviews, a lot of their phones develop 2 common issues within a year: Battery timing & Heating. But now a lot them also have screen issues - even the PocoFone F1. Best thing about Xiaomi is that it forces other brands to make lower priced phones. Also, last year, Nokia was top seller in Vietnam. 3rd best seller in SA & Sri Lanka (above Samsung). 4th best in India (if I remember it right). 5th best in Europe. That's more than enough customers to report any problems in their phones.

  • The sound doesn't come from all over the earpiece in RN7. It comes from only the half of the part. The salesman told me it's the design, not a fault. Is it true or the fault is in my phone?

  • LOL basically nobody has a Nokia so naturally there will be almost no issues reported. Nokia phones are mediocre in every possible aspect.

  • Redmi Note 7 is way better

  • No

  • I'm going to buy this phone . Any Bugs ?

  • which better redmi note 7 or samsung A30

  • pls does Redmi note 7 suport Glo 4Glite band of 28(700)

  • Specs wise, Redmi Note 7 is better if you ignore quality. Among these, Redmi Note 7 has the most reported issues (overheating, screen bleeding, poor built quality, disappointing battery, customer support). Not to mention, it has ads. But it has a decent camera that supports Night Mode. Nokia 5.1 Plus is better if you're okay with its battery capacity - which isn't that bad. Its battery lasts about as long as Redmi Note 7 while playing PUBG (4-5 hour) but less in lightweight/normal usage. It has Android One which means more stability, better performance, better battery, no ads and no bloatwares. Helio P60 performance is about same as SD 660 but in this case, Nokia 5.1 Plus outperforms Redmi Note 7 because of Android One vs MIUI. Its quality is confirmed to be good, as you'd expect from Nokia. Its camera is good but not as good as Redmi Note 7. I don't recommend Huawei P Smart 2019 because its chipset Kirin 710 isn't reliable at all. It's way below Helio P60 and SD 660. Even lower than SD 636, so you won't have a good gaming experience. Conclusion: Battery & Camera = Redmi Note 7 Performance, Stability, Reliability = Nokia 5.1 Plus I'd go for Nokia 5.1 Plus, but there are better alternatives as well: Asus ZenFone Max Pro M2 Realme 3 (not the best for watching movies) Realme U1 Realme 3 Pro

  • Very good phone

  • Helloi have a problem in signing in my Google account in playstore I'm getting nervous I jist got my phone today and the service center is so far from my home should I wait for an hour for it to sign in. Its only display checking info 😥😥

  • Note 7 pro

  • Of course note 7 pro it has better soc and camera

  • which is better? xiaomi note 7 or xiaomi note 7 pro? pls i need ur help

  • Gps problem?

  • I need a suggestion guys. Which one is better? Redmi Note 7 - Nokia 5.1 Plus - Huawei P Smart 2019? Which one is better to have and why? Thanks in advance... :)

  • MHL: mobile high definition link, I didn't know that term!!! So even if the RedMi Note 7 has a type-c USB connection it doesn't support MHL, it's a pity... Thank you for your reply.

  • both of them

  • I want to set the over beautification of front camera of redmi note 7 please help

  • Note 7 has a better camera, bigger battery, headphone jack, better design (IMO), but can't record 4K video (it can with 3rd party apps). Mi 8 Lite on the other hand has a metal frame and can record 4K video natively. But I think Redmi Note 7 is still the better buy.
