Hi guys I attainded the 3rd hearing in the consumer-court but neither the dealer nor anybody from Xolo appeared, the judge has release the ex-parte order that means whatever is the compensation amount (Rs. 1,25,000) in my case would have to be forfeited by the dealer and the manufacturer, the conclusion would be announced in August 2015, I shall keep it posted.

Purchased it from Universal outlet on the first day of launch. Phone looked good to me for first three days. Casing and finishing was good, screen was awesome(Plays HD video without any problem). Battery was worst, if we turn on data then battery hardly survives for 2 hours. Emails to sync with this phone was impossible(asked outlet guy for configuring it for me, he tried for couple of times and asked me to check with service center, but they didn't respond to my concerns). Camera stopped working just 2 days before warrenty period (But was not taken care by support/service center). Now its 17-18 months that I am using this phone, for me at this moment its not the smart phone all, it turns to be just a normal basic phone for calling and messaging features with horrible battery backup. which I need to charge for every 6 hours. Now its high time for me to quit XOLO and try for other options in the market.

Guys, your experience with this phone will depend upon how you use it. This phone is for advanced users & definitely not recommended for newbies. All the bugs are addressed with the new s_018 update. Its true power is unleashed after rooting it, which is so easy on this handset. This is surely a gamer's delight. Thank you Xolo for bringing such a nice handset to india at such a great price. Initially, the phone had issues with mic but was replaced by Xolo. The service guys told me it will take 2 months but repaired in 20 days only. I m using it for one yr now, no issues at all exept that one.

Don't buy like this local brand. Service is not good and response are not good too. Dont know service center people that when your mobile will repair after giving in repairing. They need more than one month and may be they can take two or three or year for repairing. My mobile still in service since two month.

I brought xolo play I.e. t1000 8 months ago from the day one I am facing many problems like - 1. when ever I used to call a person then the other side of the people doesn't able to hear my voice at all but I can hear them due to this I have to make the call again and again until it's get connected in the right way. 2. my mobile used to get hanged when ever I used to open the settings. 3. my phone used to drain the battery very fast and makes my phone hotter. 4. all games whose size is bigger than 50 mb used to get hanged while playing them. 5. my phone used to get switched off automatically and then I have to start it again and again. I have done my biggest mistake of my life in choosing this phone

Hey dude, i have the same phone and because of nvidia sound tecs only female 3.5mm jacks work. Nokia has the same earphone configuration. Go for a female jack rather than a conventional male one.

I bought this phone in December 2013 because of it's very good hardware configuration. For first 1-2 months, this phone worked very well. But then there was call drop issue with the phone so I contacted Xolo walk in service center in Nashik (there is only one service center in Nashik), and submitted my phone for repairing. The service center didn't give me my phone battery and back-case, they told me that it will be returned along with phone. When the phone returned from company, service center told me that the battery and back-case is not with them, as they have already returned them to me. The service centers from Xolo are just there to make fool of us. They will misguide you. Now I need to spend 1000 buks to just check if the phone issues have been resolved or not. I strongly recommend not to buy this phone.

Hi dudes, my requist, never bye Xolo handsets. I brought a Xolo Q2000 from a locle dealler, it was heating very much at the very 1st day. He give my other fone but after 3 day use it shut off and did not on. I take it to the dealler but he refused to acsept it because he had changed it once. I went to the Xolo service centre, since one month the fone is there. I try calling there daily but they just asked me to wait. I call the call centre, they say they can not interfear service center. I ask them to let speak to a manager, they say, you will receive a call, but I did not get any call from 7 days.

If interested in HTC and love gaming go for HTC one X or HTC one X+ they both come at almost the same price the latter is better in processing power, infact they both and even LG 4X HD have the same processor i.e. Nvidia Tegra 3 just like the Xolo play one. I failed a case in the consumer court against Xolo as since 6 and half months now my handset is with them. Although I sent a court's legal notice to them they have not even replied, can you believe that! I shall post the updates for the court trial.

My handset was overheating and the battery was draining faster hence was repaired two times and the third time I got a replacement for the same model but new handset, It too started heating up in no time. I asked for a different handset from the service centre but was offered a Q1000 which was less expensive and inferior in configuration. I asked for the refund they declined. I have filed a petition in the Consumer court/forum in Mumbai district.

Cant able to do Factory reset Hi, I have a Xolo Play Mobile, it has got locked due to too many wrong pattern input. For unlocking its asking me to put my Google account username and password, but my WiFi and Data Connection is off, so i am unable to login to my Google account even if i put correct isername and password. Hi I used the handset for 3 months, I had started facing the problem like handset heating up since the first day, I ran all the updates, it did not resolve the issue, I did not care a lot of the heating issue, but it also drained the battery faster. After 2 to 3 months the battery started draining much faster like completely out in 3 hours without active usage. I sent it for a repair, they flashed it with the OS, repaired, changed the circuit board, exchanged the handset with a refurbished one, issue not resolved, also the handset is with them since over 2 months. They then offered a refund of 100% money back minus the 12% V.A.T. later denied it and offered a handset with inferior configuration that is Xolo Q1000, I declined it because as per the goverment rule they should give a similar or superior configuration, they simply refused. Only thing I liked about Xolo customer service is that they gave me a standby handset till the time mine was being worked upon. I asked for an acknowledgement letter stating the number of times it was sent for repairs, the dates and what modle they have to offer etc, I am going to go to the consumer court. My advise is never buy Xolo, Lava, Micromax, Karbonn, Swipe, iBall, Spice, Celkon etc. handsets, they do not mind being defamed, but brands like Sony, Samsung, Apple, HTC, LG etc. will never give you any point to prosecute them, also their customer service is no doubt very good. Please do not be too hesitant to spend an extra iota or do not be too patriot to support Indian brands, it comes with a heavy cost, spend an extra amount and earn more peace of mind.

This phone has a bad OS no doubt about it. The native OS has lags in camera and gallery keeps on hanging. But since i flashed MIUI rom for this phone. Its performance has become amazing. This phone simply roxxx. I am just not sure about why xolo made such a great specs phone with so bleaky software with only 1 gb ram. 1.5 gb ram would have been a justice to this phone. Also use sandisk memory card with atleast 30 mbps speed for good performance. I use xolo play handset MIUI rom flashed with a Sandisk ultra 32 gb class 10 card with 30 mbps speed. I enjoy this phone well.

Hi I am in Mumbai and I had gone to the Malad service centre. I think even the Q1000s model is recalled as it is not available in stores but only online. I think Q2000 must be better as the chipset: Mediatek 6589 is in the market for long and has given many handsets, even brands like Sony, Samsung and HTC have used it. Also the software optimisation for the chipset should be better, so there should not be any compatiblility problem, so think again my friend.

I just yesterday I got a replaced refurbished T1000, it too had the same issue of overheating, battery draining, infact its front speaker was not working as well. I demanded for a different model with similar or better configuration (as per the goverment rule), they did not acknowledge whether was it possible but told that I am likely to get a Q1000s, I declined it as it did not have and external memory slot, they may offer a Q2000 which I think is not good either as its processor is inferior (1.2 Mhz vs 1.5 Mhz and Cortex A7 vs Cortex A9).

After the S18 update,I flashed MIUI ROM and now my Play is on XyrusOS ROM.Phone is blazing fast,Game play is smooth,solved camera taking grey pictures.Whatsapp msgs still crash which i dont mind.Battery backup is good given the fact that it runs on Tegra which is not known for juice.LGP880 booster will help me in playing high end games.Overall im satisfied with my Play T1000.Lets hope xolo will release the kernel source soon.

I never felt bad about this product.Compared to many other smart phones in this range it offers better battery backup,Fantastic gaming experience and gorgeous display.Issues like wats app we can always find some oter alternatives and i have compared its camera with phones like gionee e3 and note 2.I cannot say its the best but for 14000 its more that wat u get in samsung or sony.Stop blaming and enjoy Tegra 3 chipset gaming at affordable price.

This phone has a lot of issues. 1. Battery backup is the worst I have ever seen In a phone. 2. Camera takes a hell lot of time to focus and the pic quality is bad even if compared to a Samsung's five mega pixel camera. 3. Gaming experience is also not good .I played angry birds and even it got hung several times during the game play. 4.Auto brightness doesn't work at all .It is useless. 5.I don't know about whatsapp issue as I have not tried it yet. I suggest everybody not yo buy any xolo product .It will be your worst mistake which you will regret all life.

Last month on 25th Oct I have purchased xolo play T1000. After that I update Build up to S018 after that my phone work like drunken man. Phone heat up suddenly too much. Automatically torch turn on specially when phone put in pocket. There is no setting I found to disable auto torch on mode.Whats app text cut from right side after rotate display some time able to read. At any cost please don't update your phone. There is also hardware problem i faced whenever I connect Bluetooth hands free to phone then phone will reboot automatically. Auto Brightness is not working properly I don't know why? After all facing this problem I put request for replacement on flipkart because I purchase from there. Flipkart immediately replace phone I very thankful for this. Yesterday I have received new phone again with new problem. My previous Bluetooth hands free is not connecting. Whats app problem still remain. Auto brightness is not working properly.But other problems not yet come because I did not update. Olny Gaming performance is awesome. I suggest don't purchase go for only brand because I purchase this phone by selling my Samsung S advance. That phone start problem after upgrading from 2.3.6 Ginger bread to jelly bean 4.1.2. As per my experience never update your phone. Use it as original.

Yes infact there happens to be some problem with Whatsapp messenger, it cannot display long messages. If you paste long messages it force closes. Another issue is although the handset is designed for gaming however it heats up while playing highly graphical games even that are designed for Tegra chipsets like: Dead trigger, Dead trigger 2, Real boxing etc, even if you close all the services running in the background.

yes there is problem with whatsaap msg lenght and battry charges very slowly ...but xolo play have best performance in 3d 2d graphics ...go for it if you have good knowledge of andorid os and stock roms

well i updated to s018 latest FOTA or ota and now antutu shows 9235 rating ........at s016 it was 13536 ....but there was sod and auto off issue .....they need to tweak the performance lilbit so we can reach 12000 at antutu at least..and yes your phone must be very cool at the update time or it will do update nating ...personal experience .....

SOD would mean screen of death or sleep of death. Rooting a device has its benefits, you just need to Google it. Do it only if it is necessary.

Hi, New updates file size is 5 mb. As per description, it will solve problem related dead on sleep mode. I have encountered this problem many times. After pressing power key, phone doesn't responds at all. Though it's still on. One need to reboot the phone by removing battery, as this is the only option remaining. Hope this problem is addressed in this update. Let me know if you guys also facing this problem.

Hmm, i switched from LG Optimus G to Galaxy Grand and than to Xolo Play, after reading its reviews. Display is what i am in love, Graphics is awesome. The only con i found till yet is, it shows a blank space in place of long messages in Whatsapp. One more thing, after rooting this Fone is Fantabulous.. Yup...the S_18 update seems to have worked. A teeny weeny lag while playing games like Iron man 3 but other games are fine also the UI is running much smoother. Data On since 4 hrs, Played Iron Man3,around 10 mins of calling,watsapp,few downloads from the playstore..battery still around 70 percent...Acceptable for me...

Guys Please note...before making th s18 update...make sure you have ample space in your SD card....I guess somewhere aroung 1Gb will suffice.....My eyeballs fell out of the socket when the upgrades got failed and the fone failed in the first two attemtps. then I emptied my SD card(around 1.5 Gb) and tried again...this time it succeeded.

@darkmagician ya. i also have the same problem with earpiece.but i guess its not the earpiece problem.the problem lies with the backcover design.i removed it and then plugged the earpiece without the backcover and it worked fine.i used my brothers samsung headphone and placed it in such a manner so that it gets inserted perfectly without getting blocked by backcover.working fine now.so bottom line....i think they shipped few pieces with the back cover with faulty design which blocks the earpiece.sad for both of us

um...are you a bit mad? 4 gigs is alot, what could you possibly do to fill up 4 gigs, if you want to save space, download these apps and root your phone (optional) app 1 : Clean Master. all-around app for clearing cache, junk files, residual files, etc. add's up as a task manager, app manager and privacy manager. app 2 (root required) : link2sd. connect any useless app to a secondary partition made on your SD card (made by using CWM. if you use these 2 apps, you'll free up alot of space

Xolo play is very good in terms of Gaming,video play back and music output on phone speaker. When you buy this phone you need select storage men card Then you need to do software update you may get update of 12mb Which of no use.you need to delete that file from SD card called update.zip and once you delete it.you need to click on software update again this time you will get 10mb of data that's the one update and your phone will work smooth.

The phone has one of the poor camera performance in outdoor lights. The picture is like a VGA camera's ouptut. The pictures come good only under full light inside offices and day light. During evening lights, my old Nokia C5 takes many times better photo than xolo play.

@krishna : In layman's term i have a vodafone 3g connection on it and i have performed a speedtest i get a average download speed of 7 mpbs and on wifi 4mbps, which means no buffering for youtube videos and awesomely fast download. Now as far as the signal quality is concerned i have already mentioned earlier i am vodafone user and i face no issues like call dropping or no network, Phone's voice quality is excellent.

Mr.Curious, i am sure your are facing little heating issue as the lag issue is taken care of with the update...Little heating issues will arise only if you play games, Advise here for you, before playing games make sure that you do not have any application running in background and you have cleared the ram before starting the game.That should solve your problem

Krishna in reply to your question, I am personally using this phone and the new update from xolo(262Mb) has solved all issues related to lag and battery.Also i have installed super graphics gameloft games like Dark night, Asphalt8,7&6, the Amazing Spider Man,COD,Assisn's creed and to name a few more like real boxing, temple run, subway surf etc work just amazing awesome graphics and absolutely no Lag.

Quickly run the update, I am sure it would resolve the issue with the battery and over-heating, but it still uses the battery a lot and heats up while using 3G. Avoid installing any battery enhancement software, it will intact clash with the Xolo power suite.

Hey guys this was a worst phone ever used.....i used it for a week and return it to flipkart.com from where i purchesed... i thought its a quite good configuration...and it is a good ...but some how i did not get performance...it gives seviour lag in menu transection in full performance mode...and lagging in low quality video playback too...and it lags in subwayserfer too.. so plz guyz strongly recommend ..dont buy it...and if u want to buy XOLO then go for q1000 or q800 ...a way better then PLAY...

buy two handset.. face same issue.. 1. battery drained so quickly.. take too much time to recharge. after calling for only 10 minutes.. battery drained upto 30% suddenly.. 2. after pushing power button.. nothing displays on scrren.. experianced same issue on both handsets.. 3. after lodging complained, person from service center came after 2 weeks to collect the handset and then return handset after 1 month saying battery replaced and software upgraded but sent same battery again to me. Hi, I have Xolo play the phone is amazing in terms of display, gaming and others problem with phone is phone heats up a lot on any activity like games, apps, browsing or call Xolo power app really sucks, there are lots of other apps available for power saving Recently I did an OTA update and phone performance went down drastically!!!!!!!!! phone hangs on every activity we do like game, apps, going through menus and calling I called XOLO, sent emails however they didnt give me proper resolution, XOLO is a new company and R&D department is weak which is in bangalore India Xolo is an Indian company and you all(Indians) must know that such companies will have worst service in the WORLD!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just hope that XOLO employees in R&D should get paid well so that their brains can work and they can research & experiment well on any updates before sending it to customers!!! The main problem with the phones gpu is That the graphics.... are coming fully... but its not producing FPS so Games become laggy I think xolo should concentrate on this that y gpu is not giving appropriete fps.by which games run like butter....

Hi I got this handset on the 16th of August 2013. I have been using this handset for around 3 days now. The battery life was pathetic, got an OTA update for the inbuilt Xolo power-saving app, it might have improved the battery life a bit but did not really notice it, still have a complaint for the same. Gaming performance was excellent, the best thing is that there is an NVidia store to download free and paid highly graphical games from specifically designed to run on NVidia Tegra 3 GPU. Although it has a 1.5Ghz quad-core CPU it lags while scrolling in files list but not while sliding to application list while could be resolved by turing CPU performance to the highest from the Notification area by clicking on the battery icon and then the NVidia icon however it would again hamper the battery life. Although it has a 1GB RAM but only 340MB is available as per Auto-task-killer and as per the inbuilt task-manager more than 450MBs is user-available. It have a pixel density of 312PPI that is a retina display and make the screen look perfect, had it been any denser than this the icons etc. would have looked smaller. Although it has an alarm feature but does not work if the handset is switched off; infact even low-end non-smart or non-feature phones do support it. The integrated video player supports 1020p (HD) resolution excellent video quality, incredibily, the battery does not drain so fast in here. It does not support a mini-SIM but a standard one. It has a magnetic-sensor as well which is not mentioned on the this website. It does get overheated beside the rear camera while multi-tasking. The inbuit memory is 4GB and around 2.3 GB user-available comes with some inbuilt apps and games like Subway surfer that can be transferred to the external storage. It does not support USB host/OTG but hopefully it is supported by the OS files so after rooting it, USB OTG driver can be downloaded from Google Play and make it work for a pen-drive, mouse or keyboard. It is exactly similar to HTC One X in hardware and both the handsets have Jelly Bean 4.1 but the HTC model has inbuilt MHL that is a TV out feature via USB so installing it on the indian version would not be so difficult. It does not have a gyro-sensor but does not matter as there aren't many games or apps made for it. Not mentioned on this website but it does have Panorama and simultaneous video and image recording, face recognition with live face detection that would need you to blink your eyes. It has a non-slippery & rubberised back cover, no dedicated camera button. It comes with a USB-cable-cum-charger, an ear phone and a screen guard, no flip cover, no place to fit it in even if bought from the market. Thankfully here is an advanced recovery option accessible by repeatedly pressing the volume down key while powering on, it leads to Safemode which can help to recovery the data and reset the handset if infected or not booting in the normal mode. Another good thing is that this handset has an option enabling which the apps can directly be installed on the extenal memory, which may create some problems like some apps like widgets, security software etc. do not work while in the external memory. Installed a battery saver app it worked a little for the battery but the best thing is that it lowered down the heating problem a lot.

Hi Rahul! Update the Xolo power suite to version 11 and in the notification area click on battery and at the top click on NVidia icon and select CPU performance as the lowest, it will hamper the performance namely scrolling etc. but will improve the battery life.

Xolo did not manage to impress us with the aesthetics. It looked like a regular smartphone with an all-black exterior. The front panel is all-glass with a shiny trim around it. Three LED backlit buttons for Home, Back and Menu are available on the bottom and the earpiece with the front-facing camera are seen towards the top. Sadly, we did notice the backlight a little too dim than normal.On paper, the specifications sound quite acceptable. Unfortunately, that is not the case in practice. There is a perceptible lag on the phone that permeates through the entire OS, with even basic things such as the Settings app running at a terrible framerate every time you scroll.

Its my first android phone i have been using this phone since 15 days and it has been performing well! Camera is not that good! No HDR option! Even Q800 and Q700 have it! Low light photography is bad! The battery is not that bad! But i'm facing a problem! When i turn on my 2g network which i turn on by enabling the "Data" option on the notification panel,it starts draining battery Drastically! Like 1% per minute and that too when i'm not using the phone and the screen is off! So you can guess that if i use the phone on 2g,how much battery will get drained! Yesterday, i was surfing through flipkart for a descent android handset. came across a lot of samsung lg... suddenly i found some xolo handsets. almost all the phones were incredible and unbelievable in such a low budget!!! each phone released seemed a flagship to me. amazed by the xolo play. I have nvidia graphics in my pc and I know why is nvidia so amazing but thinking of it in phone is mindblowing. processing is good but only if the company releases another flagship with more than 2600 milliampere(mah) and about 16gb graphics within in about 20000 INR, I'LL BE SURE TO BUY IT. With such a capable processor and Chipset which is for gaming handset as its name stats also Im unable to understand why internal memory is just 4GB (available will be around 2 GB) which is not at all good for big games having game data over 1 to 2 GB for single game also screen size should also be 5 inches.

Bought the phone yesterday. Super smooth, super fast and super amazing. Sadly kept on charge yesterday night and today morning started using it and the battery drained out from 100% to 15% in 3 hours. The handset also heated upto 45 degrees. Mind it this drain was caused not because i was using the phone, but it drained on its own because i did not listen to music, did not play any game or surf the net but the phone just heated and the battery drained. In the xolo battery app i checked all 4 cores were used to the threshold, i dont know why. Waiting for a couple of charges more to see if this is a problem with the phone then might send for repairs.

Hi friends this handset is the best in this price range as it is optimum for gaming, the most affordable with 1.5 Ghz CPU with 4 major cores and a 5th campanion power-saving core which is intended to use services like playing music etc. It has 12 core GPU. Although it has mere 8MP camera it comes accompanied with a BSI sensor which is good for low-light photography. Although it has Jelly bean 4.1 it is most likey to get a 4.2 Jelly bean upgrade because if you see Asus google nexus 7 tablet or Hisense Sero 7 Pro they have the same chipset but the latest Jelly bean 4.2. 4GB internal storage is insufficient especially for playing high-end games but root would help to transfer the apps to the external memory; unlike the Intel-based chipsets the Nvidia ones do not have troublesome non-unlockable boot-loader, so flashing with a custom ROM would be an easy task. The screen size is less than a 5 incher, nevertheless it is very good with a pixel density of 312PPI which is a retina display thereby although the display is not so crisp like a Samsung Galaxy S4 which has pixel density of 441PPI but it would not pixlate while playing games etc, infact 441PPI would make the icons etc. look small.

Guys its a set capable enough to compete with HTC's last year flagship HTC One X . That phone had the same processor and chipset but the GPU on Xolo Play is better than that on HTC One X . HTC also had 1 gb ram and i owned that device for 3 months and what i can say is that it was as smooth as butter with no lags what so ever just battery life was annoying but Xolo Play will surely have better battery life owing to large battery and with that experience i can exclaim that at this price Xolo Play is unavoidable .
