ZTE nubia Red Magic 3s - User Reviews

  • I've owned this phone for about 2 weeks now, and the user experience has been great for me. This is a pretty far leap from my iPhone 6S that I had before this.

  • Oppo Reno 2 or other regular Chinese phones with SD855+ are more reliable

  • By looking at the fan-cooling tech inside the phone you already know it's going to be rubbish (aa it accumulates dust) Heard the software is a mess You want to buy a reliable SD855+ phone, phones like the Oppo Reno 2 are way better

  • Global rom or can rom ?

  • NFC is not the thing for gaming phones.

  • Hi guys. About the 8kp30 thing. People are getting their Asus phones to go 8kp24 50mb/s h264 using a custom profile in freedcam app. What are you guys getting with this app?

  • I'm here to share my experience with y'all ! Whoever wants to buy a gaming phone please keep in mind that considering a Red magic 3S would be a waste of money. After using this device for few weeks; Crazy FPS drops + over heating Touch screen delay Dock station problems it will freeze your game and you have to restart your game Screen recorder makes the game so choppy that it's unplayable. The device looks dope but y'all gotta believe me this device built very cheap and it is a sin to call this device a high end going device the correct phrase fro this device should be a high end looking device. I have purchased this phone for gaming only , it's not been used for any other purposes . Frankly speaking my note 10+ performance in gaming is a lot better than RM3S but I was curious to try a gaming phone . The customer service is as bad as the device itself . All the reviews about this product or YouTube vids are totally cosmetic and biased. My personal experience with red magic product was a total waste of money !

  • Read on the Red Magic 3, there is an issue on the right trigger acting up.. is this true for RM 3s?

  • Okay thanks, it's a shame theres no NFC I would pay more to get this beast if it had it :(

  • After applying the 2.05 update and a week of use i can say that works fine, just a few translation issues at some menus and no native dark mode yet The phone is extremerely powerfull and without intrusive personalization, just a plain Android aosp system (something that some people may hate, not me)

  • does this phone have any problems like the previous red magic 3?

  • @Elvis Imbaye But no the cool'est, it runs pretty hot and throttles fast.

  • This is the coolest. Snapdragon 855+

  • why would you need more space?it have build-in memory for at least 128gb dude.

  • No NFC, no card slot, Cameras don't have any form of stabilization (although there is a way to program EIS onto every phone thankfully), no wireless charging, pretty dim AMOLED panel (unless they fixed this with the 3S), and, while the software is Vanilla Android, there's barely ANY customizations (the global version, SOMEHOW lacks System-Wide Dark UI and even a way to lower the refresh rate in case you want to save a little more battery). Thankfully, a lot of the above can be forgiven due to the AMAZING hardware it has being, like you said, the front-facing stereo speakers, headphone jack, big battery, NO ESSENCE of overheating...ever, 90Hz refresh rate, QuickCharge 4, UFS 3.0, and no notch. Honestly, if it had a brighter AMOLED panel, card slot, and slightly more customization options (maybe even Android One TBH), I'd get this phone in a heartbeat. $600 for 12GB of RAM and 256GB of hard drive space ain't bad at all.

  • Front camera make 3s look ugly on front

  • No microSD slot and USB 2.0 which is too slow. I have compared transfer speed of the microSD card (Sandisk Extreme 128GB V30) with an USB 3.0 connection to a Samsung Galaxy S5, and speed over USB was laughably slow compared to the USB 3.0 card reader from Kingston. I do not want to remove the microSD card to copy data to/from it, this is inconvenient. I hope next year there are no more smartphones with USB 2.0. I like the notch-free display and the 3.5mm jack, and I like the size because reading ebooks on my 5" Samsung S5 is not convenient, especially not in PDF format. Yes I know a tablet or notebook is far better to do this on travel, but a smartphone I have always with me, and a larger display does not hurt.

  • I think it's the same Sony camera as the one plus 7 pro.

  • i'm guessing it might be the camera it is a gaming phone after all it might be below par it is one lens yes 48mp but i guess you'll have to use it and see or look at some test

  • Forgot to mention the battery is also impressive

  • There has to be a catch right? Costs around 500$ and has Snapdragon 855+, AMOLED, stereo speakers, audio jack with incredible audio quality, beautiful design and notchless if I see clearly? Is NFC missing? Are updates slow for the Nubia series? Is it getting Android 10 and higher? The absence of a SD slot is kind of a bummer but there are ways to connect external storage devices with the USB and i forgot the year when I listened to a radio so the price and specs make me want to buy this really bad

  • Great price. Shame that you'll need a backpack to carry it. They should start to make gaming tablets and leave phones in a pocket size category

  • I know band wise its kinda much more differ than asia, but wifi-ad is not for everyone atm. Cooler and 30w charger comes cheaper bought separately even with the aero case.

  • Sadly I'm not located in Asia so it is not an option for me... I also don't feel like importing this model since it has limited band frequencies and also a bit slower Wi-Fi if I'm not mistaken. You also don't get the cooler and 30W charger included with this model so you do lose out on some features with the reduced price!

  • bettter get rog 2 tencent version, small difference price if you living in asia, idk eu na

  • Better to buy the Rog 2 512 GB model for just above $1000 (Europe, Sweden) or wait for this phone which I believe will be close to half in price around 500-600 dollars when it is released..? Is the extra refresh rate and memory/storage plus maybe slightly higher quality of the Rog 2 worth all that money? What do people think? Nubia Z20 also an interesting contender that is being released shortly... You miss the higher refresh rate screen but get really good gaming performance, the back screen works as extra buttons in gaming too just like air triggers but you don't get extra cooling on this...

  • Congrats you have a different carrier. T-Mobile however, doesn't care.

  • Everything looks good except no SD card slot, does it have NFC and infrared port?

  • Everything looks good except no SD card slot, does it have NFC and infrared port?

  • Skor antutu benchmark for red magic 3s is over 500000 that such good performance and pretty awesome

  • I could say the same about my LG G2 ;)

  • Mine has already auto update to 9 already.

  • What about CN rom? Is it easy to install Google apps?

  • Fun fact : My LG V30 is still on Oreo, and guess what? I'm still alive, the world is still spinning, nobody has been harmed, and my phone works.

  • 1. NO Card Slot 2. NO Radio 3. VERY Big in Size!!! All these mean that I ain't buyin' it, not even for 350 Euros!!!! It's my personal opinion, ofc, but at 500+ Euros, the above 3 points are VERY Important!

  • Fun Fact : Red Magic Mars is still 8.1 Oreo. Red Magic Mars 3 (Global) still facing software bugs and not receiving updates. well the cn version is getting updates so therefore, If you want this 3s then better buy the cn version. Global is sheitttttt

  • It's just at 15fps, but nevertheless 8K recording is slowly coming in.

  • 8k camera recording on a phone?

  • best for everything even the price ... no comment

  • Put a note Xiaomi when u call a phone gaming U put a jack If i had money i had bought thé rog 2 since all my pc compenents are Asus But these one goes better for money

  • wow, 855+😍

  • Almost considering to buy it but no microSD card. Great phone though.
