LG L90 D405 - User Reviews

  • I got a LG L90 a friend was not using anymore. It was slow as hell and occassionally crashing. I have installed LineageOS on this thing, and now it runs great. It runs much better than when it was new. This 2014 phone now has the dec 2018 security things on it, because of the regular updates of LineageOS. Quite happy with the thing now.

  • This was my first phone ever. Great device for me as a 5th grader

  • GPS Not working 90% of the time.

  • in 2014 purchased 2 phones, both still work, still original batteries hold normal working day. Not sure how many other phones could show this. Of course it is slower nowadays, but still does its function.

  • You can remove the pin lock with a master reset (using the hardware keys). You cant back up so you will lose all your files (photos, music, videos and downloaded apps) but it will get rid of the pin lock. Here's what you have to do: Power off the device. Press and hold the Volume Down and Power keys for 3 seconds or until the LG logo appears. While still holding Volume down key, quickly release the Power key, then quickly press and hold the Power key again. Release all keys when the Factory data reset screen appears. Use the Volume keys to select Yes or No and then press the Power key to confirm. Select Yes again to confirm Once your phone turns on it should no longer have a pin code lock.

  • this phone, doesnt really have important feature to login when password is forgotten ,never use this

  • My phone is blocked i did not have PIN code. Help.

  • The LG Optimus L90 was my very first phone and for the time, it was definitely great for me. The camera took nice photos despite only being 5mp, it took good closeups, the screen may only be about 720p but it looked good to me, and it was a snappy phone for the time I had it in 2014-2015. However, nowadays I wouldn't recommend getting it since the Optimus series as a whole has been discontinued and from what I've heard it's a slow phone. If you want a good LG budget phone like the L90, get the G Stylo 3+ or the Aristo.

  • I´m so glad I am not the only one with these issues. After the last operating system update I need to get a new phone because my LG l90 got desperately slow:-/ Otherwise it worked perfectly for 3 years...

  • a big winner when compared to A3 2017: - 2X battery life! (combination good battery capacity + true screen resolution) - same performance with lower cpu heat (true screen resolution) - built quality not decrease after 3 years (lower heat = more life)

  • Worked perfectly for me for 2 years. after 1 year updated operating system and got a tiny bit slower after 2nd year updated operating system a again and got much slower. still for the first 2 years it was a very good phone.

  • Rubbish!, prove it ?.

  • fake internal memory

  • Possibly the worst phone I have had in over 30 years - never got a good signaland if you tuirn off the wifi it is supposed to bet better but not a lot. Mine has been back to virgin who never addressed the signal error, fixed the faulty microphone but now won't connect to blue tooth and they have wiped their hands of it by using the excuse that where my keys tubbed on it is damage and it is rejected for warranty putposes Eventually they told me of the wifi swith off but isn't that defeating the object of having it but apparently they tell me it has only one ariel hence the problem. I have had it for around 18 months of Which I have had around 3 months frustrating use and have been using my old HTC HD7 which has a superior ariel which receives 4-5 strength compared with 0-1 on this pile of junk Virgin offer the earth on giving you a better so called cheaper contract but with phones like this it id not worth it when you have togo back to your old one to reveive calls. Looking forward to June when my contract ends as I have allready discontinued the phone and can then disacontinue the equally frustrating supplier.0

  • You're right :) I once had this phone and is not very good. (slow, camera is bad)

  • I had this phone for about 2.5 years, it has been working fine. once you flash the slimrom 6.0 from xda site, it works even better, very smooth, even though sometimes it will take several seconds to open large apps. I don't play a lot of games on the phone, but this phone can handle games like "i love pasta" just fine. the only downside is that the internal storage is only 8G. I haven't tried the tool from xda to partition memory to get more storage yet because I don't want to risk to brick my phone. I just don't see the reason to get a new phone.

  • hello to everyone, I have bought this phone in 2015 May I think and with 1,5 years experience this is what can I say about this phone: Front camera is not very good, but it still can make some decent photos, front camera is very bad, it takes better photos only in daylight, but in room it's awful. Phone is not very fast, but it works good if you use simple apps like all social media apps(facebook, instagram, twitter and etc) because of ram issue, you have like 400mb of free ram. Battery is decent, better buy a powerbank because if you use this phone with internet very often, battery will run out in about 5-6 hours. Speakers is ok, not complaining and size for my hand is perfect. So in conclusion I do not recommend this phone unless you don't need good camera and fast working, I don't know this phone price in nowadays, but when I bought it was 150 euros, so better save some money and buy a better phone, like lg x Power(in my country it costs with sale 180eu, without 200 +-) or something. Good luck!

  • I bought this phone although a different version but same spcecs(mins is lg optimus l90 d415) and it is a good phone and I like it. I bought it in July/August of 2015 and so far works... a bit slow when using apps and exiting apps it takes 2-4 secs for the homescreen to appear. Camera could be way better.. only 5mp back and vga front.. so yeah that kinda sucks. I am in love with the size of it.. 4.7" ... I think that is the perfect size... and it is a shame not many companies make great phones with powerful specs at this size. Sony did but it is so expensive I couldn't afford it. Batter is good too. I would give this phone a 6/7 out of 10 ... just bcas it is not very fast... if it had more cpu power and ram and powerful cameras.. I would give it a 8/9 out of 10.

  • This phone is the worst phone i've ever seen. Every hangs without any reason. Whatever you do do not but this shit..

  • Official information: LG L90 D405n Will get Nougat Android 7.1.2 @ December 2016.!!!!!

  • dear customers blat. l90 its a good phone 20 b.s

  • Ive tried now to deacticate every google process there is. Even google conract sunc, partner set up services and even play store. The respons of phone is unbelievable. Its fast. The reason of slow devices is actually googles own process. Their are not optimized at all for low and mid tier phones for old android version like lollipop. The ram management is actually very good on this phone without google process applications. I have steady 450 mb ram at all time. And its responsive. I will activate play store and services from time to time to update existing apps. Firefox with ublock origins works like a charm now.

  • Most amazing phone I have had. Bought it as a second phone for my work. Bought it in Dec 2014, so far (*touch wood*) no issues at all. Although it is dual SIM have used only one SIM. This has resulted in battery life of atleast 3-4 days (with switching data on & off when required) and using music player and lots of calls. Great stuff from LG! Keep it up!

  • My iPhone is on service so I'm using l90 once again. Disable everything with google name except play store and play services. And i mean even maps, streetview, google chrome especially chrome. Alot faster. And using adblock web browser, here maps. It seems that everything which has to do with google is slowing old devices because they are packed with process and ads. Im using chromecats thats why i need play services but if u dont use chromecast u can even disable services and play store. Your phone is going to be superfast

  • I had it and it is the best phone i ever had.Sound quality in calls amd viber is amazing. Now i have m4 aqua and i am not happy with call sound like on this phone.

  • I have a L90 405 that had been updated to lollipop 5.0.1 (and then swiftly downgrade back to KitKat), and have recently bought a Samsung S5 Neo to hopefully replace the 2+ year old L90. I have had the S5 Neo for over a month now, and things are not looking that good so far. Apart from the increased storage, the slightly improved camera and double the RAM, everything else has seen no real improvement. The S5 Neo feels much slower overall than the L90, and battery life is nowhere near what the L90 can achieve, even now that the battery it has is over 2 years old (it's the original it came with).

  • I've had this phone for about 2 years now and it did the job for the first 6-8 months, but slowly started getting worse and worse. (1) The battery life started deteriorating to the point where now it lasts a good 6 hours before powering off with standard using. (2) The amount a RAM is not nearly enough for new apps and slows down the phone's performance a LOT; it takes about 1 minutes to close the built-in messaging and open up chrome to a new tab page. (3) Although my phone's storage has been COMPLETELY taken up by "System Data", I won't blame the phone for bad large OS management, but 8GB storage does add up quickly with pictures, videos, and apps. The optional microSD card slot is good for storing pictures and video, but that's just it; no apps. In Conclusion, if you are just a very very VERY basic user, and I mean no games, no big apps, and don't care too much about picture quality, this phone is for you, BUT if you're trying to find a cheap cheap phone that's the best you can get performance and quality wise; look elsewhere.

  • yes it is..my samsung always have a lot of issue with the screen , i ended loosing my money; l90 is cheap and much more better than samsung, my samsung was 450$ dollars lost

  • Since I bought iPhone 6s Plus i couldn't be more happy. I'm now on my 6th update. This could never happen with android. I also have l90. But buying another android phone so it can be obsolete in couple of months. I don't think so

  • I think it's a good buy for the money!!!

  • My LG L 90 automatically starts Mobile data when ever I restart my mobile. Please help me get rid of this problem.

  • nope get samsung.. its lagg .. that phone ir like a shit. dont buy it!!

  • Yes, in quite a number of ways.

  • No way.

  • The T-Mobile version of the L-90 carries the D415 number. It's right on the sticker of the box, that I bought in a T-Mobile store.

  • Go to Settings->Tethering & networks->Mobile networks->Network mode->WCDMA only (select this option for 3g only) Note: if your are using dual sim only one network will have 3G...Both sims will not work on 3G simultaneously......... Hope this works for u......

  • D415 ???????? There only d405 and dual sim d410.Which model is l90 d415?I think you are in some mistake.

  • yea same with me .i bought an updated version ..i cant switch to 3g

  • yea same with me .i bought an updated version ..i cant switch to 3g

  • pls i upgrade my LG d415 to 5.0.2 since then its only display 2g i f i switch to 3g only it cancel network pls i need ur help very urgent

  • pls i upgrade my l9 to 5.0.2 since then its only display 2g i f i switch to 3g only it cancel network pls i need ur help very urgent

  • Kitkat performs better on battery durability and Lollipop not. Ram goes full on 5.0.2 and Kitkat not. Than the design of lollipop isnt my taste and kitkat does. Never lollipop for me on L90. I updated and did a rollback but unfortunatly some lollipop filed are still in my phone so its not the same as it was out of the box.

  • I have updated to 5.0.2 and the phone is still pretty good. I happen to have 2 of these phones, one is on KitKat and one on Lollipop. I did not notice any difference in speed or usability between the KitKat and Lollipop. Battery is still performing very well and the RAM is not being eaten up. I usually have more than 300MB of free RAM (the RAM autoclears every hour). I think the key to updating the phone is to rest it after updating. Also, restart the phone at least once or twice a month and this will help with the phone running smoothly.

  • Uninstall Facebook, it's not the phone, it's the crappy app. Assuming you have no idea about an app called 'Greenify' or 'Wakelock Detector', there's not much you can do with an unrooted phone. Use a cache cleaner called 'CCleaner' from playstore, because sometimes, a restart is all you need. Best practice is to avoid apps like Facebook and Twitter. Trust me, I've been using the D410 variant since 10 August 2014, and even after moving to Lollipop, I've never faced a problem till date. Another piece of advice - Do not upgrade to Lollipop, animation is very slow. Though apps run fine, just like they did on Kitkat.

  • I agree with you, the battery performance on this phone (OS442) is beyond anything ive ever experienced, one of the big plus. The designer at R&D on this phone is a genius.

  • IMO L90 with kitkat is perfect. Doin update to higher version dont mean its goin to be better than previous OS because ive experience the diffr. But till today didnt heard a 6.0 will arrive but u can always ask LG.

  • Best device ever in this classe, baterry takes for a long,so.fast and.very.good performance

  • Hi, why is there no need for speed no limits game for Lg L90? Does someone know?

  • Besides i saw 1 last L90 on the web store and empty stock means (high) price euro 229 i bought it for euro 179,99.

  • Don't know about official update, but there are already couple custom roms. Installed one of them yesterday and the only problem I've noticed is with back camera. It shows only stripes but it takes pictures as it should. So It's 65% working I would say :D It's not a big problem for me because I don't use camera so much

  • Iam still enjoyin this phone imho the best in his price range. It's a pitty that its no more in stock in my country.LG shud consider to re-introduce this phone to big electronic shops but than with 4G add simlock free. I wud buy no doubt. Just added Word and Outlook apps a few days on it and all perfect. This phone replace ur laptop for 80%.

  • Phone is ok, but GPS receiver is very poor it quits yo when you need it the most. If you need GPS stay away.

  • Hard reset your phone holding power button and up volume on boot up. Releasing up volume and pressing again it will show u hard reset menu. But on the other hand uninstall Facebook app because it's a crap of an app for android. It used to many resources for this phone to handle. I'm not sure about Instagram but use those apps to log in manually on chrome browser instead.

  • Hello, I have some problems with my phone(lg l90 d405). I have this phone like 8 months and it was ok, no lags, no big overheats and etc... But like before 2 weeks my phone started to do mess. When i use any app (facebook, instagram, clash of clans and more) it errors and my phone crashes, apps wont even start, after restart I still cant use my apps because of this crashes. Sometimes i can use facebook but phone starts overheating really fast, like after 5mins of using app... Help me because I dont know what to do and I dont have money for a new phone.

  • I am using this phone from 1year phone is awesame .I can play five movies at one time fully charged phone. It never hanged until using 5 hours or more time internet I think LG provide best hardware .

  • Are there will be update for l90 to marsmallow 6.0

  • I hear it's real slow. Maybe you've had better luck.

  • i am already at lollipop what's wrong ?

  • One more thing, regarding the D415: Skip the Lollipop upgrade.

  • Don't install ES file explorer. It will slow your phone like crazy

  • I am using this phone for about two years now and all I can say it is really good one. Never looked back.

  • I've had the D415 T-Mobile version since June. Really good phone. Excellent display, and even better battery life. An LED notification for charged battery and lights behind the capacitive buttons would have been nice touches, but all together a great purchase. Nice job, LG. Alcatel and ZTE should live long enough to be this good.

  • I am using this phone for about a year now and all I can say it is really good one. I havo no complane about it. Battery is good, camera is good, phone are fast, really comfortable. I have no regrets buying this.

  • The problem is that I can't find v10a/b/c-EUR-XX kdz file anywhere in the world. Even if u manage to find original rom it will only address the latest stock rom in kdz format. I think LG has deliberately deleted the file from system on Internet so u can't downgrade. Yes there is Poland kitkat CIS kitkat etc but that is not what I'm looking for: it should be for northen Europe

  • This is an excellent guide if you're looking to switch back to stock ROM The process involves making use of a utility called, 'LG Flash Tool' which is analogous to imaging software in desktop world. What it essentially does is, it 'flashes' or writes the factory shipped image of the stock ROM to your device. All you'd then need is the image itself, which is referred to as the 'KDZ' file in LG terminology. Simply download the stock image for your device by entering the IMEI number and follow the rest of the instructions to bring back your device to its Kitkat glory. Or...skip it all together and save your time. I don't think you'd be needing this so badly, now that you've already got yourself an iphone. But still, if you wish to get back to Kitkat then this is the only way. Others involve flashing a Kitkat based custom ROM, which, I doubt, is what you're looking for.

  • When it comes to lg phones they are good because they don't use that much bloatware or sidekick services in comparison to Samsung phones. They just suck big time. For one Samsung app u have about 5-6 sidekick service apps so they fuel and make it work the main app which is just crazy. Lg doesn't have that. Lg apps works by them selfs without using extra created services. Lg uses googles own system as service or sidekick app so the main app can work. That's the difference between lg and Samsung apps. Example sasmungs own App Store uses additional 8 other app services just so the whole concept can work at all. Like billing, then some app synchronization which is stand alone app aka service app, then many many other additional service apps. That is way to crazy. Those additional side services uses phone resources so it doesn't matter if u have 8gb ram phone from Samsung. It will use 80% of phones resources. Motorola doesn't have that either. For Sony I don't know but I assume they have also some kind of service apps as sidekicks.

  • I bought new iPhone 6s Plus. I'm just sick of android fragmentation. I watched carefully what was out there. First I was interested in nexus line phones but this time I waited for reviews and it's not good enough. Soc sd810 and 808 are not satisfied. Maybe 808 is better but then again throttling effect I can't handle. To much stuff u need to do by your self because oems doesn't do good job from the start. I'm using lg l90 as my back up phone but I want to downgrade to kitkat which is impossible by time being. Using lg l90 as micro pc/chromecast device seems like pretty good idea. But for that I need kitkat which doesn't slow down performance on this device. Since I bought new iPhone I already had 3-4 major updates in a 2 months period. Now that marshmallow is out there is already new update out there 6.0.1 which will take forever for some oems to release. That I can't handle because by the time they upgrade Google will release 6.1 or 6.1.1. So I've calculated the cost. It's the same amount of money. Me changing phones every year or buy iPhone 6 and change in 3 years period or even later. I'm sorry to say this but I will not go back to android cause of many different factors, throttling/backlight sacrifice, update fragmentation, and not optimal upgrade performance by oem. Maybe I will go back to android when Google releases pixel phone manufactured by them selfs.

  • Awesome phone, using over 8 months not a single bug:fast and fluid, cant beleive cheap phone can be good like this.Good sound and camera at this price.

  • I think I recall you mentioning about buying a new phone. Maybe it was Zenfone or something similar, but I see that you are still using it. As a backup, I presume ? And I don't think there will be any updates. Though the latest version is 5.0.2, I expected them to at least update it to the final and most stable version 5.1.1.

  • it is true about battery and performance, i recharge my L90 almost once in a week, and i do 5-7 phone calls per day, i read news on internet via 3g also using facebook every day, and i play 40min temple rush every day in subway train in my transition at work-home, so its true

  • restart your phone! go into settings and choose different band. final reset the phone. it cant be more easy then that

  • i cant switch to 3g network. is there any thing am missing?

  • Are you sure you mean the 'Back' button ?, or do you mean the 'Menu' or 'Home' button ?, which did have their functions changed with the new update to Lollipop.

  • I'm having a hard time with my back button. Is there anyway to fix that with the newest lollipop update?

  • lg l90 is a beauty, no hard warming like others, this has manual focus and can update to 5.0.2, awsem

  • i dont know how do you have some much space?I have 300 mb

  • I had new settings for days now and wow its fast. High temperature prop off disabled and mitigation off disabled which is enabled by default from lg. Its fast. Battery is not warm but it is only while charging and playing games at the same time. Even playing game alone doesnt make it warm when mitigation is disabled. Now to question why is lg makeing it slower. Thats why kitkat was so fast on this device. If you want kitkat snappy just disable both mitigation and high temperature prop. For gaming go to developers mode and use mxa 4 aaaa or what is called. Phone can handle it because its krait!

  • This ia official adblocker app. When u set your wifi set every wifi dhcp on manual. Port is 2020 and host is localhost that is u write localhost.

  • Is adblocker preinstaled in phone softvare and whare i can found,or should i download from Google?I have 5.0.2. lollipop

  • Built in anti malware in adds blocker?I dont understand explain please

  • You are protected by adblock which has anti malware and plenty of different filters. But its mostly design for filtering ads but as i said it has built in anti malware. Those apps that u have installed witch u have or will have in future they are safe u dont need antivirus for that. The only thing u could from time to time like every 3-4 months is to download cache cleaner and thats it. Antivirus and real time cleaners just make this phone slower. By the way build in keyboard uses to much cache from predictive words which are stored in history. Delete predictive history from time to time.

  • why you do not need antivirus when you on internet and browsing how you will be prtected

  • Returned gs6 worst phone ever. Now for some good news. I been messing with l90 as long as i have it which is about year and a half. Go in the secret menu 3845#*405# and disable thermal deamon mitigation off and high temporature property off. Those two are throttling cpu and screen brightness and making l90 slower then on kitkat. I think those two was off in kitkat. Dont understand why would lg put it on. Its not like this phone has best cpu but at least the phone is now snappier. Unistall any cleaner you have or antivirus because you dont need it at all. It uses to much of that little this phone have which is ram. Use your stabli apps and you are good. For protection use adblocker from offical site and that is only protection u will need while surfing. Thats all

  • I'm not too thrilled with their Lollipop update...and the link you posted is simply somebody's wild guess.

  • I hope its true. I bought gs6 but i want to use my l90 as media center. Micro android pc to tv

  • Hello peoples, maybe we will get android marshmallow

  • Well it can be done using apex or nova and changing home button behaviour. For menu button i ment either way for recent apps or menu function. But its more natural to use menu then recent apps because this phone do not have in screen buttons. So its more natural to use menu as what we had in kitkat

  • You say it is possible to change the menu either way ?, would you care to share how it is possible to set the hardware buttons back to their original functions ('Home' button = Task Manager, and 'Menu' button = Menu). Bearing in mind that I do have Lollipop (5.0.2) installed on this LG L90 D405N phone, which is not rooted.

  • Which Google app are you saying is responsible for for doing this ?. Would like to know the name of the app, if you don't mind sharing.

  • You can change menu either way. But its more natural to use menu for this phone. I dont like google now it uses to much battery for information that i dont need. Its like buying something in the store and they ask u anything else. Well i would check if i need anything else why would u ask me. Buying coffee, do u want some muffin with it. Well i would tell u if i want bloody muffin if i want it why do u ask? Same thing for google now. When i search for information i will search and not other way around. I use greenify to make home button kill all tasks plus lock screen

  • Thats what the google app does, even my tablet has it and it's kitkat :(

  • And the hardware buttons (Home and Menu) don't work as they are suppose to anymore in Lollipop, as they did in Kitkat. Home button is now the stupid search button (which I doubt many people use) and the Menu button is now the Taskmanager and the App menu combined (what a stupid combination). Which means that very time you bring up the Taskmanager, the current Apps menu appears too, which has to be cleared every damn time. What idiot thought of this set-up ?.

  • But thats the thing websurfing and downloading on pc and android is not the same. There are couple of download twists which doeant work on android that well. Web browers are not that good on android as on pc. U have right click menu on windows but same thing ate not the same on android. Plus even some thinga to download it wont download. It downloads something else which is not the same thing in windows. Use almoat every cloud store server to download. U download some egg apk sh*t. This never happens in windows. So ita not the same experience. U can use in some cases download with es download to get right stuff

  • Dont update to lollipop because kitkat is 99,9% bugfree and very stable. Please dont update. Lollipop is not that bad in this device but kitkat is made for this device. Its that good and optimized for this device

  • I am not trying any uncommon websites. .. just very common ones that work in my other android phones... windows phone as well as pc

  • People help me. In my country is now available lollipop update. Update or not? Is there any help on bugs with hard reset after updating? Thank you!

  • Thats nothing to do with the phone. Its android. Some websites are designed in such a way it doesnt work in android as it work in pc. use firefox!

  • Hello there...... People I have a strange issue here... this phone has been awesome since the time I bought it but only recently I tried downloading music/video from a website on this phone and it doesn't let me download just gives me an option to play it and thats it... tried upgrading to Lollipop..but nothing changed... any suggestions?

  • Now that clean master have force closing i stopped using greenify. One less app. Its a little tricky to find force closing but its in tools in main menu in clean master under battery saver

  • For maximum performance and no battery loss, you just need 1.Wakelock Detector (Root) 2.Greenify 3.Ccleaner (Android port of the Desktop app) (may or may not require Root depending on use)

  • Galaxy Express 2 or LG L90 D405? Both looks great. I need help.

  • I see. Just make sure u dont upgrade to lollipop because kitkat on lg l90 have better ram management. Plus battety last much much more. One thing to keep in mind. Dont use art on l90. Dalvik is very very stable plus some functions from google doesnt work that well on art in l90. If u have chromecast on art it will not work! Mirroring. And its much faster overall on dalvik. But that is for l90. And keep in mind maximum ram u can get from this phone is 500mb. I tried that one time just to see how much i can get. Your battery on kitkat should last 3 days moderate usage.

  • To be honest, I installed all my apps to Internal memory, and there is still space (except europe maps for navigation and hikings maps for my country - 3-4GB, I installed them to SD card). In my previous phone I had internal memory like 512 MB. But I am just "prudential" user. I always have only things which I need (desktop, mobile whaever). And run it flawlesly with minimal footprint. In my previous phone it was necessary. But, I have now more space and better HW - still I will not waste it, and want only few core functionality which I personal using :) I use phone for SMS, Call, geocaching, whatsapp, navigation and occasional web access (tickets for transportation etc). Thats it, I dont want to IR device, music player, video player or gaming station. To this I have flac pocket player, home theater and remote control.. I understand I am not like others, but just for my good feeling I would like to have clean phone and everything in it is using by me :) (my though is: those additional services, which I dont use, takes some space, some of them even running on background and eating battery) Rooting my phone and editing hosts by Adfree it was first thing I did after unboxing.. And Link2SD and 2nd partition on my SD card is just precaution to future. As I wrote, space on internal memory is sufficient for me, but good to be prepared (and ability to link).. 16GB SD card cost me pretty little money, so I can "sacrifice" 3GB for one ext2 partition there.. I was like, hmm., it gave me pretty good enhancement in past, why not be prepared (even I doubt I will need use it anyway). I really like my previous phone.. I looking new one only because HW failure.. And L90 I choose because exceptional battery result (noteboockcheck did pretty good tests), and OK GPS module (geocaching/navigation), and price. Nothing more - not interested for media,gaming... And for these parameters I am really happy. Only thing I really and hard miss is LED notification. After some cleaning (for example, I googled LG MLT is some logging/tracking service ?!) I think I will be pretty happy, hoping that battery will last as long as possible :)

  • Download app ops from play store. U will see!

  • But thats the point. That phone u can use most for media. As for music and video both are advanced, especially video. Therr is no suvh video app on play store not even mx player. Thete is no app that supports wireless mhl off screenbesides stock lg's. You can try that using chromecast mirroring your phone and play video on chromecast and turn off your screen. Lock it. There is no other phone which have that function with locked screen. Just to clarify off screen is not black screen. Off screen is phone locked all the way. I think u are trying to make your phone game phone which is wrong and i also think that u have bad experience since gingerbread and your mind is set on that. Just to make sense so u understand. That phone have 8gb rom. How can u expect to run beyond that. The only thing u can try is to root your phone so u use link2sd from external card but even so some files will be on rom storage u cant escape that. Ir you dont need. There is no other phone in that class which offers ir blaster and u said u dont need that. I use it all the time. When i buy next phone i will make this phone as a media center for tv. Like micro pc but more likr micro phone tv media center. Plus you can freeze apps using greenify. Maximum ram which u can get free on this phone is 500mb but only on kitkat. Ive already tried that

  • Hello, thank you for your comments..Why should be Link2SD makes any troubles? It doesnt runs in background, it just makes a links? It saves my life, when I have 200 MB free in old phone, because androids APP2SD function doesnt do the "Move to SD" trick entirely - it leaves some things on internal (android 2.3.6). Also I am using Link2SD for freezing - it looks compatible with system, because in Android applications I see those apps as disabled. Music and video - well I dont sayin that those apps are bad. I just dont use my phone for video or music playback. And want to have phone cleaned as much possible. And when android is Appbased, should it hurt to him when I uninstall those two? Remote control - for what I need this application? It should works like remote control for TV etc.. Really not usefull for me.. ? Update notification - I didnt find "per app notify settings" under Google Store application, I cam just turn ON/OFF for new update notification globally, for all my installed apps.

  • And finally there are some apps that comes preinstalled but they are not system apps. i think its like 4 of them. box, some office app, flashlight and maybe one more but those are not bloatware those are stand alone apps which you can uninstall

  • and for so called not to be bored about notification u have option that lollipop doent have anymore and that is called app ops. its extension od settings for apps.download from market app opps. there u can deactivate notification for apps that u dont wont notification. problem solved

  • and for freezing part you have greenify app for that. no root no nothing. use batteryguru so u stop some apps from refreshing. thats alos wtihout root.

  • First of all u are doing it wrong. Make a clean factory reset, U dont need link2sd. Second deactivate following apps. CBS messages, gmail. google drive, google play books, google play movies, google play music, google play newsstand, google plus, hangouts, memo, remotecall service, talkback, you can even deactivate tasks if u want, remote control u need it why would u deactivate such a feature. u dont need link2sd at all if u not planing to play some serious gaming on it but that is just stupid. u see bloatware its all GOOGLE not lg. By the way that music player and video player which comes with kitkat from lg is much more powerful then u can find on market. Trust me i wrote review before and u need those two. especially video player which is so advanced cause of wireless mhl. There is no video app out there which have that function off screen!!! plus u dont need any launcher at all oon that kitkat. lollipop is another story its worse.

  • Figure it out, format partition to ext2 and choose ext4 on Link2SD did the trick. But telephone has a huge amount of bloatware compared to XT320 :O Now I just starting with freezing, before deleting them through ADB.. and there is a lot of both Google and LG apps like: Drive, movie, FM radio, gmail, email, G+, Hangouts, music, Music (yes, twice the same name!), music play, books, LGSetup Wizard, Maps, Weather, Print spooler, Quick Remote, RemoteCall Service, street view, ... ...).. I freezed LG actualization services (until root+Link2SD I just refused to accept their terms :) and seems to have peace from updates. There are a lot more applications, which I must consider if they are needed or not :(

  • Hmm, got to the serious troubles with Kitkat and Link2SD, just cant mount ext2 second partition for Link2SD :/ mount: Operation not supported on transport endpoint

  • Yes, I would not like to update (and I would like to NOT be badgered by some notification).. That is good news, so relatively clean phone then?.. Dont care about publisher much. Google/Microsoft doesnt any difference to me, product is that what I am concern :) I will looking forward to this phone. Hope everything will go smooth :)

  • Here is my advice to u. Dont upgrade to lollipop. Second only bloatware on this phone comes from googe like newsstand, drive, movies, game, bookstand, music, see that u deactivate all of those its like 6 or 7 of them. But its all google

  • Thank You, I will try that you recommended in point 2. Well, I dont like anything running on background, what didnt related to SMS, Call, and synchronize Calendar. I using my own apps to other things (navigation, whatsapp, lightining launcher, aqua mail). So everything else is not needed by me. If it doesnt running, then I dont care much (using SD card space anyway through Link2SD). I have Motorola XT320 now, and there was pretty much applications, which I trying to freeze and then remove, Like facebook shit etc., but also a lot "motorola" things, which I just didnt know, for what purpose theyre running. Sometimes it cracks my phone function, when I try to disable it. A lot of application was "-odex", and tryin to looks like (and named) system applications. But half of them can be safely removed. I am very happy with this phone now, but it was hard way with "try and error" approach. So by bloatware I mean some running application, which is safely to delete to have functional phone. I didnt get new mobile yet, but I bet there will be some "LG layer" type of applications..

  • 1) Depends on what you consider bloatware. 2) You can't accidentally update without getting a notification though. Still, to turn it off, go to Settings-->About Phone-->Common-->Update Centre. Then simply uncheck the option to 'Check and download update automatically'

  • Hello, I just ordered the phone :) I would like to help with 2 things, hope someone will know: 1) Is there a list of bloatware, which I can safely remove after root? 2) Is there some option, how to disable update notification? I would like to stay on Kitkat 4.4.2 default OS. Thank you in advance

  • Even after thoroughly inspecting all data collected by 'Wakelock Detector' and 'Greenify', I can't seem to pinpoint the cause of power consumption. I'm not sure why, but I think LP isn't any better at holding charge. On Kitkat, battery life was without a doubt, better.

  • Not a good smartphone. Touchscreen has a lot of fails. The body is fragile in the corners. Is slow to response. Not happy with mine.

  • Hi I`m looking for new phone and it looks great, but i want to know is it working great as well.. Whats good about this phone? Is it lagy or runs smoth? Whats cameras quality? does this phone have bugs? is it worth to buy? and which is better LG L90 D405 OR Sony Xperia E4G e2003???

  • already 3 new (upgrades for) phones like Bello, Tribute and Volt so im waiting for new L-series. But Volt 2 looks impressive to me.

  • I think we are gonna see 5.1.1 update. They have optimized OS for lower devices so there is big chance that we are getting last lollipop update

  • Im waiting for Snapdragon 425, 618, 620 or 820 and Android M out of the box. There are tempting phones out there but i will wait for Qalcomm to fix things. So far nex galaxy A8 seems to be a real beauty but 615 is just not so good.it suffers to from heating. Hope new motorola g comes with new soc

  • Yep i know it didnt happen on kitkat, just try to hold finger on proximity sensor and unlock ur phone,u will see what will happen. :-)

  • Actually, I've never unlocked it the way you mentioned. I tried unlocking as if it were placed on a table. I don't think it is positioned like that inside a pocket. This never happened on Kitkat BTW. I came across a kernel by some dev by which one can enable 'fast charge' that is disabled by default on our stock kernel by LG. I'll post back my results when, and if, I happen to install it. Quick charging would make it awesome. And too bad, I just found out that SlimLP ROM doesn't supports Dual SIM, as of now.

  • Battery is removable

  • If u have unlock ''bug'' try not to hold ur finger on proximity sensor or hold phone upsidedown or sideways. It will unlock only if u hold it the right way. Since i do that i dont have any problems unlocking my phone.

  • Try not to hold ur finger on proximity sensor or hold phone upsidedown or sideways. Its not a bug its protection system so your phone doesnt unlock in ur pocket.

  • I'll take that, but only if the battery is removable. I hate non-removable batteries with a passion

  • Android M update ? Like seriously ? You're getting too optimistic. They might have pushed the Lollipop update because they were already in the middle of rolling out an update for the G3 and then later, for the G2, but that's about it. There hasn't been any update since 5.0.2 I was myself hoping to catch one last update before finally getting a custom recovery installed just to get the Xposed modules working. I thought, maybe, because the 5.0.2 isn't the final iteration, they might just surprise us again with the 5.1 update, which probably should've been the final update, but it doesn't seems so. The dev over at XDA has mysteriously disappeared and thus CM12 development has come to a standstill. I'm not sure if we're going to get lucky and get the M flavoured CyanogenMod, well because it forms the basis for most other custom ROMs. I just hope that some new dev jumps to our rescue and begins developing Android M based CM :P I'm currently preparing my L90 for the SlimLP ROM btw :)

  • Depends what price it's going to be. But Euro 229.99 wud be ok to me. If so than I wud buy 2 as well. I posted this 1 with my L90-))

  • If lg manage to make new mid range phone with sd425 or sd618 with ir blaster, nfc, 2500mah-2800mah removable batt, 5" 1080p, microsd, c-usb, led notification, 13mp/5mp camera, 16gb storage, 2gb ram i will sure buy 2 phones

  • Well you are not far from it. Future lg l90 2nd gen 5" screen 1080p Ir blaster, nfc, c-usb Snapdragon 425 1.7ghz 12-13mp rear camera, 5mp front Led notification 16Gb storage amd 2-2,5gb ram

  • I want add a few things for future L90 (let's name it L90 Plus) -1.3Ghz with Turbo to 1.6Ghz *and 1 correction: No inscreen buttons, let buttons like it is but let buttons light up. -Battery to 2750mAh Great new site update Gsmarena, wow!

  • Maybe an idea for LG, a poll/survey to L90 users and ask abut their opinion? But anyway this phone is without any doubt the best ever. Even better than all flagships combined.-) My vote for 2014 and 2015 award for L90.

  • No Kitkat was flawless from beginning. Nothing beats Kitkat yet. Lollipop is new JB. It will take a while when we see new kitkat. I dont think even android M will fix this. They need to do one swelt project again!

  • For 3g setting go to main settings which u can find in apprawer, notification bar pulled down gear icon or right manu button on left from home button. When u open settings go to network and click internet share and network. Then go to the bottom find mobile network and there u have acces point etc. Or just call your operator and ask them to send u installation sms

  • I got lollipop update yesterday... So far so good. Nothing much of a complain.. It feels a little bit slower but that might be because i reed so much of complains about lollipop.. you know, you tend to see what you expect, maybe it was also with kitkat but i dont remember... all in all, very pleased with update mainly because it removes that ugly icon pack. It feels so much fresher now. cheers :)

  • anybody know how set up 3g on lg l90 d415? your replies and suggestions are needed urgently. thanks in advance.

  • I totally agree the phone was definitely worth it even with the cheap price

  • I have lollipop in my l90 and my battery last 2 days with constantly data transver on.What is the secret? This was my second instal on lollipop, first time was disaster and turn it to kitkat. After 2 weeks i again install lollipop and after that do hard reset. Now its perfect.

  • Im not buying any new device until c usb standars comes out. Its high demand these days on battery life. Both f new battery and it cant even hold a day with lollipop onboard. Thats a such letdown from google. Worst os to date. Hope M will improve alot. With c usb it would be nice because u could charge 100% in less then 30 min

  • I got new battery last night. Lollipop is disaster when it comes to battery. Dont upgrade. Roll back to kitkat. Its the same story as ics and jelly bean. Biggest faliure so far.

  • im not sure but if so it will be next year. Lollipop is like windows 8. Big misstake and lots of bugs. But i think one more update is coming for this phone then its over.

  • Do you have any idea when they're gonna release it. If so than probably end of the year or 1st quarter of next year but custom rom sounds good to me.

  • That's right -- Micro SIM, not Mini. Also, the D415 version from T-Mobile is 4G, but not LTE. That's what they told me.

  • To let people know; the SIM size for the L90 is standard, not mini or nano.

  • Yes 4.4.2 is best so far but mike dont worry. M is coming. If not official then custom. But M is serious on battery. like 2x or more

  • I dont know what you are talking about. I already own thhis phone. We are talking about next l series or future phone with competitive pricing and better spec.

  • But this phone has the irbluster, quick remote.quick memo, smart screen, multiwindow, what more could you ask for a phone at this low prize?its fast, quad core proc.,good camwta, etc.

  • The battery life on my device is 1.5 day. Even with a roll back to 4.4.2. It's prob effected by 5.0.2. Normally with my use I had 4,5days. My battery is only 6months old and I've tested my new battery and same 1.5day. That's indeed a disappointment.

  • This phone is disappointment. I bought it because I thought that this phone has better specification than Samsung phone with same price but now it's always shutting down because of "INVALID BATTERY". Try to search forum and people said that it's because of the chip so I must buy new phone. I won't buy LG anymore.

  • I would like to see new L series like 5 inch screen full hd, nfc(optional wireless charging nfc cover), quick charge or fast charge, ir blaster. in screen buttons. led notification, side placed speaker. 10+ mp camera, mediatek helio x10 or the other one 10 something or minimum new sd 618 qualcomm. battery up to 2800-3000 mah. at max 280-290 euro. im intrested in this new helio top x10 soc.

  • If new L-series arrives than sure I will wait for it. A new L90 for example with 4g, buttons inside screen, 4.7inch screen, 1.3Ghz quadcore, same weight, 1.5gbRam, 16Gb space, fullhd resolution and NFC for somethin like euro 250 wud be a dream device.

  • At this moment every phone out there is garbage except galaxy s6 because of exynos. Its just waste of money to buy anything at this moment

  • Dont buy lg g2 mini. Wait for next L series. Now days lg dont include ir blaster at all. We need 2k midrange phone from lg soon. 4K is coming soon most likely as flagships there for 2k to midrange. And of course new qualcomm 600 series soc. Not 615 but 618 and 620

  • dear my lg l90 mobile problem in 3g not working and 3g available in my area it is only 2g working whats a problem in my fone plzzz give me answer

  • And mine which is 3A

  • Everybody should simply wait for the last update (if that happens) before finally flashing a custom kernel. You'd be surprised with the improvements thereafter. Use the Stock ROM, but a different kernel. My first task would be to enable 'Quick Charge' so that I could finally make use of the 2A charger lying around for over an year.

  • I update my l90 on lollipop and mostly is ok,only problem is that lollipop is little bit slower than kitkat, and when i charged my phone on 100 only for 30 minutes withaut any use it drops to 90,but still last 1 god day with lots of use.Should i return to kitkat is my question?

  • I've bought a new battery last week, LG L90 original for euro 15.95. Think next year my new phone is prob going to be the LG G2 mini because of 4g and it's weight. It's a pity that they don't have G2Tegra version in Europe.

  • One feature that i like in lollipop. Im not sure if it is present in kitkat. When warthing listening to video/music what ever. Volume control is active on present task in notification bar. So no fixed control but more flexible adaptive. In other words you dont have to touch volume rocker at all. It changes by it self. Must test this on chromecast if chromecast will appear automaticly

  • So after using this phone for 15 months battery seems to be depleted. Ive got 5 hours of heavy to moderate use which is max. Need to get new battery

  • I just picked up my L90 today and it's restored to original value (android 4.4.2). Man Im happy! So a very big thanks to LG (Staff & Repair Team). Besides I bought a second phone, L70 just as a back up. It's always handy to have a 2nd for just in case. I've learned an important lesson when it comes to an software upgrade. Next time I will not think twice but 10 times before I make a decision like that again. So I'm walkin, talkin and runnin smooth again-))

  • Thanks for your advice/information, really appreciate it.

  • M seems to be nice. Finally app permission settings. They need to do a swelt project again and ART improvment!!!. Ive been using now new feature in lollipop Smartlock and its good but need a lot of improvment. Boot time in lollipop is just slow. I think they fckd up really good with material design animations and effects. Thats why lollipop is slower then kitkat. Kitkat was clean. You cant turn off animations in lollipop. You can turn off UI animations but not app animations. And its not constant its like semi turned off.

  • Well, not really. The UI, though smooth, is slower than Kitkat. Going through message notifications takes a good 2-3 seconds. The only improvement that I can see, is the app switching speed. Though for that, one needs to keep the apps in memory.

  • Activating new smaller sim card is a pain. tried t-mobile web site and hope for the best. No such luck. I had to call walmart family and after the runaround finally got to a human! He took info, told us to turn off new phones for 2 hours. Worked perfect. It is very, very hard to reach a human. Good luck!

  • I have this phone for a month now i dont have any problems i update it to lolipop too,and it is better from kit kat,no lag, better ram usage, better battery. for anyone who has problems with lollipop. first do factory reset on kitkat and after that update it to lollipop and then do another factory reset with lollipop then it will run smooth and with no lag at all ! best phone ever!! :)

  • Last software actualization not bad, but interfaz is soo simple.

  • Stay on kitkat as it has more features. And its very stable

  • I dont now shoud i update my l90 on 5.0.2. or shoud i stay on 4.4.2,please tell me

  • You really don't need to buy another...just because Kitkat. The best option would be to hand it over to the service centre and they will reset the phone to its original glory. They will insist on fixing Lollipop but you just stick to your guns. Ask them to roll back to Kitkat no matter what. Next up, you have another option which includes following some guides that require you to make use of some 'LG Flash Tool'. Actually, these service guys also make use of it so, you can see how well known the utility is. Well, all you need to do is, get the 'LG Flash Tool' and the CORRECT system image. By that, I mean, you need to get the relevant system image for your device. This includes the version which is meant for your region and also the android version. That's all. Simply Google 'LG Flash Tool Kitkat'

  • The 'lockscreen bug' is not a hardware issue, it's a software issue. That too, region specific one or maybe...just present on my unit. I don't think LG will push any further updates so...I think it's about time I began flashing CM12. But then again, the problem is...that some of the stock features are not available in custom ROMs, which is why, I'll need to find a fix for it somehow. Seriously, this bug is annoying. I can't even turn it in for repair because...I'm on root and I won't waste my time unrooting it because most apps need root access.

  • I updated to 5.0.2 and its fast and furious Im so glad that low budget phone like this works so great, thanks lg

  • Nice man tumbz upz! I hope LG Service will downgrade my L90 as well.

  • I just did today. Now I've to wait and see if they will downgrade for me-)) They will notify me in 2 weeks from now.

  • That have nothing to do with the phone. Your sim card is not active. There for message no sim card. No net no signal etc. You must call your provider and ask them to force activate it. Try to restart your phone. Same thing happend to me when i got new sim card. Nothing to worry about

  • i just bought this phone today and i activated my sim card...but just after that, my phone tells no sim detected and no sim service.. what should i do?

  • Lg L90 wirh android lollipop is the test to solve what is coming for lg g2 mini, keep it waiting guys.

  • Thats a big lay.In which country you live?I gat back from 5.0.2. to 4.4.2.

  • your official service can downgrade os, dont buy new phone. Just send it to service and ask for downgrade OS to Kitkat, and thats all. Simply.

  • I had a live chat about this issue with LG customer service and they said it's not possible to be back again to Kitkat. Last thing I can try is to ask customer service where I bought my phone to restore my phone. If that's not possible than I've no option to buy a new one.

  • Kitkat is maybe the best android os yet. But lollipop on this device isnt that bad. For me it doesnt matter because now i know what is lollipop and im not spending money on new phone just to have lollipop. It isnt worth to invest. The best thing with former kitkat on this device is stock video player. I havent seen such advanced player even in flagships. Especially wireless mhl streaming while locked and asleep. And boot time is just insanly fast. This is second time lg did this with os upgrade. Like upgrade and abondane. No more LG for me if theu dont come with serious stability update like 5.1.1 to eliminate all bugs

  • Dont waste money.you can back to kitkat just go to autorized service center and ask to do that.

  • I disslike android Lollipop and like android Kitkat more. I was "very happy" with android Lollipop 5.0.2 "for 2 days" but Kitkat is better in every aspect. I'm going to buy a new L90 because I cant roll back to Kitkat anymore. I'm using my old phone (Samsung Apollo) right now I've dunked my L90 back in the box.

  • I'm a fan of Android Kitkat.

  • Battery is excellent! 2 days with heavy use.

  • Please make a battery test on this phone!!

  • I have a flawless unit. Dont have side volume bug, lockscreen bug or any bug what so ever. But i did soft ans hard reser after upgrade. The UI speed is almost the same but i think the kitkat have faster boot up. And kitkat is overall faster OS. The only time i have heat is when playing games but it is stable so far. For those who have issues i suggest to leave at lg service if your guaranty is still actuall.

  • Don't Go for LG ...I purchased LG l90 and having many issues: Heat issue Side button not working some time and now all the function keys not working.. I am very much frustrated and will not suggest to anyone

  • Does Lg L90 has Ex-Fat support without root?

  • I don't think they are going to push any more updates, even if that means to live with the bug ridden lockscreen Lollipop update.

  • Actually, the app which I use ('Call Recorder' by 'skvalex') requires root access. Though recording can happen by any means, the best way is to capture audio stream, for which root permission IS required. Now I don't know which app works without root access and delivers the same result (and quality)

  • Dont upgrade to Lollipop. The phone becomes, slower, bugier, total s***t. Im pissed off right now!!! Thanx LG

  • android updatet to 5.02 thanks LG

  • No, USB on the go dont work

  • Has anyone tried to see if USB OTG works after Lollipop update ?

  • I use Textra SMS, i find it nicer and better and also i always had some problems with loading stock SMS app.

  • I dont even check gsmarena in couple of days now. I dont know why. 2015 is not intressting in mobile department. Except galaxy s6 but now it seems that everything is back to usual.

  • Today Ive installed my new update, Android lollipop 5.0.2 (V20a-EUR-XX) on my L90 D405n and its very beautiful. When the download is ready installing the pack will be something like 7-8 minutes. In apps drawer on Kitkat you had option to pick wallpaper specifically for the app drawer, something like 3 standard wallpapers and 1 transparent but thats not available anymore. Transparent is standard, in other words wallpaper on frontpage is automatically wallpaper in apps drawer. Who knows with a next update they can bring this back but than with the option to add wallpapers in app drawer directly from Gallery. I like the pulldown menu, and the whole menu system. Also how the email looks and other apps are great! In general everything looks cool and Im very happy, thanks LG.

  • I ment later zenfone 2 not s6. And for sms time stamp i dont mean detail of recevied sms but send time stamp if you know what i mean. The time when sender has send sms even if your phone is offline when you get that sms you get even time when that sms has been send to you. 5 daya ago 7 days ago etc. Its fetching from sms. And no it can be showned witout sms time stamp app and for kitkat you need app ops to enable sms writing permission. Apps ops doesnt work anymore in lollipop so no sms time stamp. For video recording voice call recording. Original stock app doesnr work. Yes i know it works if you root your phone but those featurea are enabled in lollipop by default. No root requaired

  • There isn't much of a change, except the ones already mentioned here a few pages back. On a sidenote, use the app 'Superbackup' to create and restore backups. Now if you have root access, then all the better, because allowing root access to this app will let you restore those apps that have data stored on the external SD card. Just some advice that on creating a backup, do NOT make the mistake of copying the backup file to PC WITHOUT archiving it. First, install ES File Explorer and then, create a zip archive of the backup file. Then and ONLY then, move it to the PC or else it will take you millions of years to copy it to PC because I HAVE tried doing that and for some reason Windows 7 or Android system isn't able to move the file correctly. The process gets stuck ultimately.

  • "Excpet galaxy s6 and Zenfone2 which will never come..." What ? I understand that the Zenfone is not available everywhere, but the S6 is easily accessible anywhere on Earth.

  • I had around 3GB but maybe it was after installing DT2. Apps can be moved to SD, now that the new API in LP allows the specific app to make a request for such a permission. Any app that requires access to SD card, can do so, by simply asking the user at the time of installation. So yes, they CAN be moved.

  • "No sms time stamp..." I think you received a bug here. The time stamps in SMS are totally carried over to Lollipop. I can post a screenshot if you wish. "Screen recording enabled, voice call recorder enabled..." Was already working, way back in Kitkat "Es file explorer write to external card permission fixed..." Could have been fixed manually, in Kitkat. I did it. Used the 'SD Fix' app. "Now I've upgraded because of warranty policy which day if the device is not user friendly or useless even after 1 year warranty I can return product in 3 years after purchase..." Never knew such a warranty existed. Lucky you.

  • hi, few days ago i upgraded my l90 d405 to LP 5.0.2. after that i have problems with sharing screen(remote) on my android lg tv. is that the reason and can i fix it? can i downgrade that version?

  • I'm gonna update soon. First ive to de-install all apps I downloaded, store my contacts etc. For the moment Kitkat is just doing fine but I'm curious as well.

  • I've Model: D405n With update: V10d-EUR-XX

  • I love this phone. It is the best device you can find at this price point (130 Euro in my country). It's very well balanced and now it received an Android 5.02 update. I changed my HTC Desire 516 for this one and it's worth it so much. Personally I don't like the idea of dropping 500-600 Euro for a flagship device so I stick to mid-range devices like this one. Compared to smartphones from the same price-range or even some more expensive, the L90 has all the pros and non of the cons other devices have.

  • One of positive things is that you have a chance to see what is like having a lollipop without buying a new phone. Because this year is absolutely garbage. Excpet galaxy s6 and Zenfone2 which will never come. The rest is just not worth investing in a new phone. The one thing that have been improved alot is gaming. No game crash whats so ever. And also i have noticed that they did something to display brightness. It isnt brigth as before im not sure but it seems to be dimmer then before. Im not buying new phone this year at all because only good thing out there is galaxy s6 which way to expensive. Will wait for broxton or new krait when it comes

  • what model do you have? I have D415 T-Mobile but I haven't received any notification or something.

  • Just got notification of: New Software V20a-APR-10-2015 (778.26MB) Im gonna wait a few weeks, Ive to think about it.

  • It uses the same space as kitkat which gives you about 3.8gb free space. And yes you can move apps to sd card. Those restrictions are gone since long time ago.

  • Hi Could anyone tell me how much more space lollipop need than kitkat (on lg l90 d405n would be the best as thta's what I have) Also does lollipop allow apps and their data to be moved to SD card?

  • in greece now is upgreted the phone in android lolipop 5.0.2.very nice phone.

  • Finally d405n received lollipop update

  • Last week this model received an official 5.0 lollipop update (at least on DNA FINLAND carrier). Maybe write it in there?

  • hahaha they cut some camera features like funny face mode in rear and front camera. wow so many cuts. Why LG? Hope L90 gets new UX 4.0 features in future update

  • Ok here is the best way to reslove landscape rotation/white background black font knocn to sleep in this device and i tried planty of ways. Install Apex launcher, Greenify app. First you set menu button in original settings to view menu item and not task manager! In apex set homebutton for recent apps/task manager. For menu button set nothing!. For double tap set shortcut for greenify hibarnate and lock then double tap on home screen you have to activate prompt permission. So now you have task manager on home button like before, menu button as menu. White background for sunlight and when holding home button you have addition prompt for hibarnate and lock so now home button is also the lock button when holding longer.

  • Kitkat 4.4.2 is indeed superior. At this moment LG should release Kitkat 4.4.4 instead Lollipop for L90-D405. If LG wants to be the best than they better listen to their costumers. Serious, make no crap updates because it make ur phone complete useless.

  • Its seems that kitkat is more attractive OS then LP. Because its feature rich and its fastest Android to date. I do not regret updating to LP but now i see that latest Android OS is not so great after all. This makes me a better choice not purchasing any new device because of just that. I saw tons of video in comparison and KK is faster in any way then LP. The only reason vhy LP is better is of api level and some less restrictions then KK and camera 2 api. Thats it. I will wait for new upgrade for new purchase. Material design and LP is just boring. And i think its wrong directio n just as metro design which si SO boring. LP is new JB as i said before

  • For those who dont wont to upgrade dont because there is no need for it. I think this is maybe the most bugfree kitkat device out there. And here is one more feature they cut from kitkat. MHL streaming, screen off. Now that is a big feature for me. For those who want to upgrade, upgrade there is no problem. Only downside is smoothness downgrade by 10 procent overall. Seems that app animations cant be turned off! Sd400 is getting very hot at 55c something that never happend in kitkat which was at 42c max no matter what you do.

  • I fint know if I have bugfree unit but I never had any problems on my device except app crashes on the first version like Bluetooth and camera but I have fix it with couple of resets. Overall drawbacks for me is no visible silent mode but there is a substitute for that in notification "don't disturb button" landscape mode in home screen/appdrawer and white background with black fonts in appdrawer. No sms time stamp. Everything else have no effect for me. Now something positive. New smart keyboard with build in swipe mode, no need for Google keyboard anymore. Downloadable launguage packs. Two language prediction at the same time. No app crashes. Flash light notification in settings build in. No animation hiccups when animation turned off in developer mode. Battery seems to be holding pretty well after 2-3 full discharge recharge cycles. Not so good realtime est to zero but it needs fresh readings by cycles Battery calibration! Screen recording enabled, voice call recorder enabled. Es file explorer write to external card permission fixed. Chromecast working without any problem. App notification dedicated in settings not in programs but it's dedicated now. Video player works when locking screen by power button. This is some of New features and there is more. Now I've upgraded because of warranty policy which day if the device is not user friendly or useless even after 1 year warranty I can return product in 3 years after purchase. So far so good so I will try to find essential bugs like drop call big, drop data big just to return device but everything seems to work bugfree.

  • it's updateable to lollipop version 5.0.2 and it's cool

  • Uh... after i read post from Punisher... i think that im not updated my l90...

  • I've updated too. One time soft reset and one time hard reset just to clean junk. I see some stuff too. There is new features but also cuts. For usb mtp multi mode i understand they cut the view option its in recognition mode by usb and then you select, lesser space in rom. Then you have usb internet moved to connection mode, all visible now. Much more function in settings but cuts are. No landscape home launcher mode. Remote contorl in notification doesnt change by holding but by single tap. No lockscreen widget any more. App ops doesnt work in lollipop. No sms time stamp any more. Video merged with gallery. Now this is a biggy for me. No background change option in appdrawer. Why. I need white background with black fonts cause of sun :) lock screen knock code works without bug! No original app statistic not in use! No roboto font! Homescreen need more dedicated option shortcut not just google and opera mini. Video smart screen not visible any more think its merged with smartscreen. Daydream much better now! Baterryguru not working any more. No refresh option what so ever. Think that project volta is taking over now. Energy mode enables cpu and perfomance control but it doesnt explain what it does. Now thay did this cuts because of low priority and maintaning phone under class by default. Thats why those cuts but at same time some other stuff. Ram managment is more realtime now. Not so much but there is a difference. Alarm moved to clock. I will check antutu if there is any perfomance boost

  • The screen bug is irritating. Besides that, and the few changes, there is no loss in productivity.

  • Well, that's a relief then and here I thought that the L90 wasn't capable of charging quickly. Which reminds me, of the 1.5A stock charger itself. I got the 2.1A charger too, but sadly the charging had no effect on it. I hope that this kernel theory is correct.

  • Today i recieve the lollipop on my d405 from ota.

  • Lollipop upgrade is now available for D405 and its the same version as D410 which is V20a. Now i wonder what is V20b in source code. Is that the later stability update? As i remember there where 2 or 3 updates prior to lollipop and every single one of them where at 4 months update cycle and before this one the latest update was somewhere in december-januari. Is that the new lg update policy?

  • Source code for d405 is out so for anyone who wants to upgrade count about 2 months from now there will be an upgrade. For me i will wait and see feedback

  • Its not hardware issue on this device because SD400 can handle fast charge up to 1.5A according to qualcomm website. Maybe usb connector cant handle it I have charger that maximum output is 3A and have 4 ports. Its a kernel issue thats why i asked about lollipop if they have changed that. Maybe custom rom can enable fast charge if there is one for that purpose. Will wait for news about lollipop otherwise i will root and upgrade to cyanogen 12 or later about a year after i buy a new phone

  • Check with folks in your region. The update is not the same for all versions and even on the same version, for different regions. For example I cannot disable shutter sound on the D410, but some of the owners in other parts of the world are able to. Search XDA for more info. FYI there is no bug which will prevent you from running an app or something along those lines. It is a fully functional update, and a few changes in the ROM which might or might not annoy you (for the most part, you will be pleased)

  • No it's not about Lollipop, but the hardware itself. Asus Zenfone 2, for example, supports 'Fastcharge' so a 2.1A charger can work wonders on it. The L90, sadly, doesn't seems to support that feature and the max that it accepts is 720mA (I used a 2.1A charger) But still, it charges quite fast with that charger. I recall that the stock charger was not bad either. However, I never had the chance to test its output as it stopped working after 4 months and I stumbled upon the app (which measures current output) only after it broke down.

  • Its an opinion thing. Yes as i have heard its full of bugs. I personally will not update at all because everything works very well on latest kitkat update. Why update if it works and there is no bugs. Wait for lollipop update v20c/d. I will update when Lg comes with offical update 5.1 news. The only thing which doesnt work very well with some apps on kitkat is art runtime. Some apps doesnt work properly but why change to art when dalvik is stable!

  • Im owner of D405N, single sim version. So, give me advice, please. Update or not update LG? I read all around that update 5.0.x have a lot bug and that is better to stay on factory Kitkat. Thank you very much!

  • I hope they will fix any problems in stability update and i hope they will continue support for this device like 5.1 etc. Can you check if lollipop have fast charge if you have any more powerfull charger of course. Tnx

  • Yes it have good gps signal when using third party software like navigon but keep in mind!!! that new google maps is different now. It doesnt work anymore on batterymode in realtime positioning!!! This have nothing to do with gps signal, by the way it uses data network for fecthing position. Only gps and high position works in google maps for realtime tracking!

  • GPS works very good, no lost signal.

  • Does anyone known how it's GPS signal at this phone ? Does it has signal whey you are in the car without keep it at the window, or when it's cloudy ?

  • No, this has to be region specific. For example, the camera shutter sound option is different for some other D410 users. I confirmed it on XDA. This HAS to be region specific. I'll just wait for one last update, then flash CM12 or other ROM. They have performance enhancements and additional functions over the Stock ROM. The only downside to it being the degradation in camera quality, but then, phone cameras aren't meant for photography anyway.

  • Thats what im trying yo say. It seems that lollipop is new jelly bean. Full of bugs. And now i wonder how google think about os strategy and stability. They cant update bug fix like windows but because there os already history of android i come to conclusion that every second os upgrade is stable one. Kitkat is most stable android version to this date. Just to clarify security hole is not part of stability. This phone is better on kitkat so i advice everyone not to upgrade because you will have a malfunctioned phone

  • Ugh ok I washed My phone ,I put it in rice for a week .....it was workin fine until today I have a password and I can't get into my phone now!!!!! Please help

  • Anyone know that when will lollipop available for d405?

  • I think that new screen from lg g4 will pop out more :) but either way those phones are pricy. If you think after 800 for a phone with those money you can buy a new tv or laptop or something else. 800 is way to much for a mobile even if it has great performance.

  • It's confirmed now. There is a lockscreen bug in Lollipop update. I again watched how my phone would NOT turn on no matter how many times I'd power it on and swipe. I don't use any security BTW. The phone will magically power itself off whenever you try to power it (via power button). I once tried to quickly get to the homescreen just to check if it is a triggered phenomenon, but no, it isn't. It's a timed phenomenon. The phone will power off within a certain amount of time (in milliseconds) no matter where you were at that time. So if you were just staring at the screen. - It'll turn OFF if you just swiped to unlock it - It'll turn OFF if you were in the MIDDLE of a swipe - It'll turn OFF ...like an object in mid-air. So, this IS a bug. That's bad, after all I went through to update to LP. Though it doesn't happens frequently, but when it whenever it does, it is annoying to the core.

  • To those who need might need it, Call recorder works on Lollipop but only the one from 'skvalex'

  • A guy stood next to me with his S6 Edge. I have to admit, the screen was indeed popping out, but he made no use of the curves nor did he do anything extraordinary that couldn't have been done by a mid-range device. Just calls and browsing. Fact is, most buy phones to game. That is the only area where high processing power is required. Graphics, to be precise. And that's it. With adequate amount of RAM and good customization, any phone can work for you (except for graphically intensive apps). I've now shifted my focus to other areas like display, RAM, storage, connectivity, battery, service, bugless stock ROM, XDA support...

  • I will stick on this mobile for a while longer, nothing wrong with this device, actually its very good device. Asus zf2 is a joke of availability and im not willing to pay samsung 800+ for a mobile device. Yes its looks nice but that is just to expensive for a mobile. Will stay on KK for time being but will wait for a mobile with superstable lollipop 5.1.1 or 5.2 out of the box. This time both android and mobiles are just to ridiculous with bugs, fails etc. Maybe next nexus device with proper 64bit soc. Nothing intressting this year. Just overpriced mobiles. Tnx but no tnx

  • Backup data then perform a 'Hard Reset'

  • U can use compare option. If the specs r true than why drop Euro 200,- for a phone that doesnt have NFC & Infrared and only 2100 mAh battery? LG90 is the better 1(imo), for Euro 160,-

  • After updating to lollipop, phone overheating and hanging....

  • Both work fine, so I'd suggest you get the cheaper one

  • ES File Explorer ftp crashed midway and the speeds were quite unstable but then it could be because I was directly moving files from my external drive to LG

  • I don't know if there will be an update in the future, but because they surprised me this time, I think they might push one last update (even if it just happens to be about stability)

  • Hello everyone, i have buyed this phone 4 days ago. Pros: No lags, apps is working fine, keyboard is very nice!! and knock code is comfortable for me, battery wont drain if you dont use phone (when i go bed and when i wake up i can find same battery %) Cons: bad back and front camera, low ram, battery is pretty low (when I using phone), and you should buy micro sd card for more space. But anyway, I recommend for you to buy this phone because for this price you cant find any better smartphone. :)

  • This model or Spirit? Give me advice please....

  • I dont understand why lg pc suite is limiting to media files only, ok apk also but the point is that they already have good ftp wire and wireless system. Which is writeble for sd card i think

  • Which version do you have. V20a or V20b? I saw v20b in lg open source if you have 20a and 20b is in the works then its good thing. Stability update coming soon then?

  • To those who wish to know more about the aesthetics of upgraded L90, just check out this link Now though it is for G3, I can confirm that 95% of what I see is exactly how it looks on my D410

  • Sure, but it requires root access (I just moved the backup file to and fro PC and phone)

  • Actually, they have changed the way you connect in Lollipop. As far as I can remember, Kitkat used to present 4 options on plugging the USB. Not the same anymore with Lollipop. Though the MTP is intact, the other options have disappeared and collectively grouped into the Picture Transfer Protocol (PTP) mode. That's all. As for external SD card access, I guess, the app 'SD Fix' in playstore originally meant for Kitkat, surprisingly works for Lollipop too. So, good news for upgraded users.

  • I don't have any devices to cast to, except a Laptop, but on using the app 'Mobizen' via internet, on Windows 7, I was successfully able to mirror the phone. Do note that it still doesn't work offline via local network. I think they are behind on this issue but you can also try the app 'Weline'. I should add that I didn't try USB method as it is 99% guaranteed to work and I'm using Connectify on PC to host a network. ES File Explorer is awesome because it asks for root permission and then easily accesses the external SD card.

  • Which version are you at. V20a or V20b because i saw v20b on lg open source???? :)

  • By the way in Es File Explorer you can choose which memory path is your root path for ftp :)

  • Aha ok. I understand. As for lollipop part i dont know how UI looks like for connection mode. But it must be almost the same. As for not detecting on auto you must go there in settings and mark that option. For ftp part. You cant transfer from pc to phone if that is on SD card. It cant be done. But that is only for SD card. I know that in Kitkat there is some ways you can transfer if that something comes from same map as original app. Lets say es file to es file but it must be the same map. However that doesnt work with wireless ftp. Now you can check if that is resolved in lollipop. But you can always transfer to internal memory which is very stable. More then MTP

  • After lollipop upgrade : When i connect my phone to laptop through USB cable, its not showing "pc connection" notification to select mtp mode or lg pc suite mode in mobile.. I asked for any other methods is there to transfer files between mobile and laptop.. someone suggested to use airdroid and es explore over wifi.. Using es explorer app i am able to copy files from phone to laptop. when i copy laptop files to phones its throwing error something like blocking.

  • I don't really understand the question. What is blocked?

  • i'm using office laptop, there is blocker i cannot access through phones data through WIFI..

  • Can you check if screen mirroring on chromecast works properly

  • My BIGGEST gripes with the update being, 1. Apps take insane amount of space (system size grows with apps installed) 2. Memory management has gone bad (Dead Trigger 2 lagged like hell today) 3. Camera shutter sound is permanent (how lame can that be) 4. Sometimes, the lock screen misbehaves on MTP (repeatedly switches itself ON and OFF unless you unplug the USB) 5. Lock screen widgets removed (again, lame) 6. World clock home screen widget removed (another lame move) 7. Modified the APIs such that call recording has stopped working (though I somehow managed to get it working via unstable beta version of the app from skvalex) But there are many improvements too, IMHO, that make them worthy of an upgrade. Most notably, there are under the hood enhancements that make the app faster to run, albeit a slow 'first time run'. Better notification system. There is much detail to glance in a single screen than what was possible before. The rest can only be experienced on using it.

  • I'm having no issues using third party apps but I do agree that MTP on wire isn't showing ALL files. Very strange. Very.

  • You can't. Mtp by wire is just unstable. Use ftp instead wireless. There are plenty of apps out there. Airdroid, wifi transfer etc. I use es file explorer but its more complicated.

  • Asus is my favo brand as well, it's time to check for a new phone in June-July. No update yet, a KitKat4.4.4. for D405 wud be good enuf.

  • Iam also facing MTP mode problem.. how to solve this.. is there any other to see phone data in system

  • It is not necessary that after every update phone becomes buggy and leggy. moto g get 2 updates to KitKat and lollipop but works great.

  • How cool is that Must say its first time so long on 100%

  • At that time lg o2x was the best phone with nvidia in the game. Adreno was still weak. But as i said froyo was good on that phone jusy froyo. For L90 i dont think thay Lg have a clue how L90 is good value for the money from that series and if they do they made a misstake because of upcoming lg budget phones. You dont see ir on sprint, magna etc. They offer less. I will soon buy an Zenfone 2 when its released because of what you get for that money. Its a risky move because of intel as soc but i will give it a try. The reason why i will buy Z2 is because its future proof.

  • True, I see what you mean. The FIRST OS is the best because, the optimizations are specific ONLY to that particular device and furthermore, the exact model. So yes, it's true that the upgrade isn't THAT bug-free to begin with. FYI, the Kitkat version was VERY similar to the G2, and thus the Lollipop version too, appears uncannily similar to the G3 interface. I think they just ported the ROM with a few customizations here and there. Maybe, to please old time users so that they would recommend new/potential users an LG offering (like the upcoming Magna, Spirit, Fino) Still, because I'm staying in for the long haul, I'd prefer to stick to the latest update before finally considering a downgrade or a switch to CM12. I find this Lollipop update a bit slow compared to the original Kitkat version. So if one is mulling over whether one should upgrade, then I suggest that one should not. Except for the cosmetics, there isn't any reason to upgrade. Any other update related questions are welcomed. I'm on 5.0.2 v20a-IND-XX. Root. Stock ROM. Stock Recovery. Oh, and BTW, I never knew you had the unfortunate opportunity to use the infamous Optimus 2X. Ah, I just can't push it out of my mind. That measly amount of RAM, Heating furnace like Nvidia chipset and last but not the least, horrible update cycle. I'm glad someone stole it. Frustration can only be transferred from one person to another.

  • I dont think phones that comes with latest OS out from the box at launch are uograde to later OS as it would be phone with out of box OS. Its just a makeover or remake of upgradet OS. Its not optimized in same way as newest released phone with latest OS out of the box. If you know what i mean. I had one Lg before it was optimus 2x. Yes it had 2 OS upgrade but it was toxic every way with every update and upgrade. That phone would stay at froyo as it was made for froyo from the beginning. The reason im saying this is that if something doesnt work with l90 lollipop. There is no guarantee that they will maintain it. Now if you buy for ex lg flex 2 that phone is already made from lollipop and other phones etc. This is something ive noticed with phones that i never thought of before. They are made for first OS with all gimmicks, widgets etc and all works for that OS. Now ig they upgrade OS that stop to work at 80% of cases. Because its made as remake OS

  • Thanks for advice,i will try it,but i am worried about that problem because i bought my phone two and a half months ago and this kind of problems are usual for older phones

  • Hmmm...then you might not have had an update, yet. Why, what happened to your old LG phone ? I'm suspecing something terrible happened, or else, updates aren't that toxic. I could've continued with my old ways, but I finally managed to jump the other side. Still, it wouldn't matter. Really, Lollipop would make not much of a difference except for eye candy (more on that later) so you're better off without taking the risk (if you are on root access) Now that I'm done with backups and all that, I should update my comments regarding the update. I used 'Superbackup' to create backups of nearly EVERYTHING. Calls, messages, contacts and even apps. The folder where the backup was parked, weighed in around a GB worth of data. Tried updating via phone but unfortunately it ran into problems soon after the download finished. The update came to a halt within the first few seconds of the process with a strange 0x1111000 error message and so did my life. The process exited itself with a message that I'm on root access and hence, no updates for you. A big punch to the face, if you consider how trivial the issue seems. I gave it one more try by first unrooting via 'SuperSU' app (knowning that it still does not reset the LG RCT counter) hoping to get the update to working but strangely, it began downloading the garangutan file AGAIN ! I almost gave up but before doing so, for the sake of throroughness, I thought I should give it a last try, only this time using the LG Tool on my Laptop and NOT via phone. So this time around, the update weighed in around 1107mb and fortunately, IT WORKED ! So now I'm on Lollipop, however I still performed a factory reset just in case it ran buggy with all that data but no, everything went fine. I have a few observations though, 1. Swiping up from the bottom to access Quickmemo is GONE. (dunno of some new shortcut) 2. Tapping on time/date at the top notification bar doesn't takes you to its setting 3. Home screen rotation GONE 4. I miss this badly but swipe animation in lockscreen (old LG G2 style) is GONE TOO 5. An option to download one free dictionary, but who uses stock dictionary anyway 6. Lockscreen widgets GONE (well, that's bad) 7. Face unlock buried deep within settings (nobody should use it anyway) 8. Home screen swipe effect, the default one on Kitkat, GONE 9. Apps take longer to install, but quicker to launch 10. Keyboard upgraded with more customizations including swype 11. Sliding the volume sliders don't play the preview anymore (but play inside settings) 12. Notifications settings for apps under sounds added 13. Tapping battery icon under settings won't take you to stats (trivial) . . . There are many more settings that I'm discovering at the time of posting, but my GREATEST GRIPE is that they removed widgets for lock screen. I prefer using stock settings to a third party app. Why fix what's not broken ? Anyway, the UI is really something to experience. Much easier on the eyes, hence little to no distraction. Except a few cosmetic changes, there isn't much of a difference in moving from Kitkat to Lollipop, though it is a bit early to predict. It is commendable that the update isn't as buggy as those who commented (on the D410 page) made it out to be, but I do not miss the 4.4.2 days much. Hope this helps.

  • Nope. Do a hard reset after updating to LP, or if you're on KK, then try restarting the phone.

  • When I turn on my Wi-Fi, the screen freezes and becomes black and after that it goes back to the normal look.Does anyone has the same problem?

  • I agree with you man. Kitkat 4.4.2 is walkin, talkin and runnin smooth. I better wait w android 5 when all probz are solved i will give it a try.

  • No mine is d405 international unlocked. Im not sure i will upgrade untill i see V20***b*** or **c** in lg open source. I will not make same misstake twice as i did with my old lg phone. Im on kitkat v10d and its flawless. If i want lollipop i will buy new phone anyway. Dont want to mess up something that works perfectly!

  • I haven't updated as I have a lot of backing up to do. I don't want to lose important data, comprising mostly text files and messages. Besides, the update is ONLY for the D410 (dual SIM) in select countries. So if I remember correctly, the update for T-Mobile D405 is yet to be released. Assuming you're on that particular model. Go through the D410 comments here on GSMArena and you might gain some insight into the problems, but for the most part, the bugs aren't massive. At least not enough to disrupt your workflow. Also, while I'm at it, go through these threads Finally, I should let you have a peek at the message that I've yet to dismiss while I'm in the process of making copies of backups Here, straight from my phone,

  • After using it for almost a year, the phone is seamless after all the rooting and customization. It with stands all, But the battery back is the only with the wavy graphs. Rest the graphics performance and all the features which is in-built are Awesome. Its a handy phone with many tweaks and customization. Some of my favys are: -Cliptray -Q slide -Memo (with individual memo locks) -Call blocking and privacy keeper -Messaging theme, management for spam and saved msgs -Guest Mode -Pop-up call and msgs -Best feature comes in when u put the Quick window cover KUDOS for LG !!! Awaiting for similar budget oriented smartphones from LG

  • I own the phone. Question is not about the phone but about lollipop upgrade!!!

  • Been using this exact phone for a year now, no problems what so ever, really good phone.

  • Is it stable? Bugs? App crashes?

  • Please note that the following applies to D410. Update already released here 2-3 days ago. This morning, I was pleasantly surprised to discover that an update was available. Actually, the backstory is, that I had turned off the notifications because I had no hope for an update. However, I think it is due the lack of expectation that made the discovery even sweeter. Oh, and while I'm at it, I should also mention that the update weighs in around 700mb+ and that you NEED TO BE ON STOCK ROM to receive it. Root or No Root, doesn't matter, but the ROM should be Stock, no Custom ROMs. I can't upload the pic at the moment, but I'm sure the update is more 700mb+

  • Most probably

  • Will d405 get the lollipop as well as d410?

  • Great, i'm happy, LG service centers are supporting their customers at some places. and congratulation for your fixed phone. I know all the L series phones have dead pixels issue, Anyway. You can install this app "Dead pixel test" and run test on dark screen.

  • i vent to the service and they replaced my screen with death pixels and touch panel and put the new sowtvare for free in my waranty period. Now i dont have death pixels and i am so happy.

  • Where? In Croatia still nothing

  • Yes, android 5.0 coming. India test country. So about one or two months we will get it. Great. New apps new UI almost the same from lg g3 new remote everything

  • Update for Lolipop is released andriod

  • I've also noticed some dead pixels. My phone is in warranty period but I'm afraid if i claim to change its lcd screen or to the phone, there is a chance I'll get more dead pixels than this in replacd phone l90. I've heard most of the sony and lg phone display have this problem of dead pixels. this is my unfortunate that i bought this phone over moto g2 or samsung s3.

  • I have manually fixed the SD card bug on my rooted phone, just as those apps do - but it appeared not to help for Route66, maps were still stored in the phone memory. However, today I discovered that now the phone function System->General->Apps->[problem app]->"move to SD card" works for the application data such as maps; and from then on, Route66 automatically saves new maps there too! This may work similarly for other software as well. So, I'm happy again with this phone, as the problem with limited available user memory was easily fixed after all.

  • Hmmm it seems that stock streaming player is directly associated with android stock web browser and not as selective player. If you want to play streaming videos then you need to forward open them in stock browser as always to choose stock stremaing player. And some videos doesnt work in chrome browser like on imdb but same videos work in android stock web browser. That is strange. I wish that stock streaming playee work as main selective streaming player as it is very very capable

  • Thank you for pointing to the thread

  • I'm using Airdroid, with a little workaround to external SD card limitation. Here, use this to fix that limitation And as for using network, let me inform you that you do not need internet to use Airdroid (or even Fastfile Transfer). There's another one in the market, known as Xender but I suggest to stay away from it (though it might look appealing, fact is, that it uses internet by default) To avoid the use of internet, simply use an 'Ad Hoc' or 'Access Point' network hosted by either of the devices. I use L90's hotspot to host the network but if one prefers the other way, that is, to make the PC as host, then make use of some third party tool, for example 'Connectify'. This setup works flawlessly on my L90 and has yet to fail me.

  • Hi just some addition to the other comments. In comparison the Samsung S3 mini apparently has all internal memory on a single partition which is clearer (it says "8 Gb") and as a result all spare memory is available as user memory. It looks to me that LG simply uses half of the phone memory for the system partition! And that is unnecessary as indicated here: In other words, if someone can present us with a reliable repartion tool, then we can easily get 1 Gb more phone memory. I'm interested in that because the current Kitkat software apparently blocks Route66 from installing maps to my SD card (and I tried a solution that should have worked, but it didn't)!

  • I have xperia m2, but i sold it and buy lg l90 d405n. Im more satisfied with lg than sony. Sony have bad quality of make, lg is plastic, but everything is ok.Sony gallery and many apk constantly force close, on lg never.

  • Normal. 3,8 internal memory + 3,8 phone memory (which is used by android and preinstalled apps)

  • I bought today arctic home charter 4500 because my lg l90 charger is becoming very slow. About 5 to 7 hours full charge and i needed one new with more power and future use. This phone charges at max rate of 800mah which is about 3 hours full charge. So after one year of original lg charger it decreased in power about 50 percent according to hour rate but as of provided power at average its about 200-300mah which is even more then 50 percent. This is second lg I had and for charger part its the same as before. Lg charger can't hold more then a year. Just wanted to share this. To bad this phone doesn't support fast charging because sd400 can handle it up to 1500mah but its kernel issue. There is no fast charge.

  • You've got to remember that at least 2 GBs of the internal storage are taken up by the phones software, and pre installed apps (Eg, contacts, messaging, music, etc) And if you've downloaded some apps or music, takes some photos or even having alot of contacts can take up storage

  • good day all please help me withy LG L90 phone just bought 1 month ago ni antwerp belgium sunny europe..i check tue memory of the phone after i recieved it it says on the setting storage internal 3.8 GB but as per specification it should be 8 GB supposed internal memory should be around 7.7GB why i got only this 3.8 instead og the specified on the specs of the phone..can anymore help me about it to find out why..please send me a reply asap on my facebook account [email protected] you so much..

  • Do a factory reset in menu or hard reset holding power button and volume down when lg logo appears release volume button while holding power button and press volume down again and hold both buttons until white screen comes . then after reset press 3845#*405# in setting update touch firmware. If not working after that go and ask for new phone as doa.

  • I just purchased this phone less than 10 days ago. Already when I'm on the internet it's just blanks off to my home screen. When im watching a video like on Facebook, it does the same blinking off and goes to home screen. This is aggravating for a brand new phone. I didn't download apps because i was afraid of things like this happening. Ive been using the web version of fb to avoid this kind off foolishness. Now I'm dealing with it anyway. With a new phone... Why???? Im taking this back.

  • Using adblock plus apk really speed your chrome web browser. I've noticed how websites are packed with junk and ads. This really speeds browser fast. Also test Kodi it's really great for everything. To bad this phone have only 1gb ram, I use this phone for everything remote, media playerchromecast etc

  • ftp server on ES Explorer works as good as any wifi direct client out there up to 4 mbit/s and it's much easier from windowc pc too both ways but it only works on internal storage. external storage is a no go because of limitations in kitkat, you can only copy from external storage to pc or other devices using ftp but upload doesnt work. And without internet so it's by either wifi or wifi hotspot too and reverse method also.

  • Lollipop source code has been put up by LG, but unfortunately there's no confirmation of an update. I'd be pleased if they'd just push the 5.0 update. Not even the 5.1

  • Those in need of a 'WiFi Direct' app should look into this, as it works flawlessly on L90 (and even other phones) Fastfile Transfer (blazing fast transfers, seriously) Though it's a trial, I'm sure you know how to get around to that :P

  • RAM utilization isn't the best in phones at this range. Could be, that your internal memory has run out of space. Could be, that another app is causing it. Try a reboot first, if you haven't already for the last 2-3 months. Sometimes, I've had the camera misbehaving on me and a reboot would simply fix that. Try using a third party app to check whether the problem is specific to only stock app.

  • I think its if you have to many photo that it uses more ram for cache. use dalvik instead of art P.S for everyone stock video player can videocast network stream using chromecast. you can lock your phone it doesnt need to stay on for screen casting When you want to stream network stream while cast screen is enabled you get message video playing on external screen which AWESOME. now you can lock your phone and watch video thrue chromecast

  • Can anybody help me out? My gallery sometimes breaks and shuts, other times works perfectly... It's the same with the camera but idk how to solve this i tried everything i know... I have it for 2/3 months now. Thanks :)

  • Does anubody notice problem with screen like death pixels?

  • Chromecast works perfect and Cast Screen works only in dalvik runtime and not ART. important Dalvik only cast screen. play games, watch web browser UI and everything. Delay about -0,5s max

  • ES file explorer have semi wifi direct and ftp for transfering files

  • I have only just got my lgl90 and can find no fault at all. It is a great phone, and at this price, Value for money. Hoppy.

  • He said there's no native "Wi-Fi Direct" support. It's a feature that uses Wi-Fi in order to transfer files directly between two devices that support this feature. The phone, however, does have Wi-Fi and you can use it to connect to your home wireless network if you want internet access. He only meant that if you'd want to transfer files to other phones using Wi-Fi Direct, you will have to get some external application that does that because the phone does not come with this ability.

  • What do you mean there is no native wi-fi support? Will it hook up to my wifi at home and elsewhere?

  • And no native support for WiFi Direct, either. Rest all is good, especially moving apps to SD (natively, despite being on KitKat) and 8 multitouch points.

  • So... This phone is great! Has nfc, 8 mpx camera with good quality, 8 gig storage (4 gig for user so i installed 32 gig micro sd), msm 8226 is very good beats mediatek for this price range for good (dont expect 4x cortex a7 to perform like 4x kraits) adreno 305 is good enough for gaming (real racing 3 and so work great, no lags) user interface is good. Screen is very good, very bright. Speakers al very loud, loudest phone i ever had. Best is battery, it can go for 5-6 days with medium usage. Downside: no usb OTG nor led noitifications nor light ambience senzor

  • I bought this phone in march last year and this phone is stable. The unlocked version d405 without nfc. It had some issues but it was more from google's side. The battery holds pretty good when you do a complete charge cycle otherwise battery is like on all devices if you charge half full. You must to a complete cycle sometimes to get better battery time. Gps works great. It doesnt work indoors. Everybody knows this stuff. You cant expect for gps to work in basement. For touch part issue. You have to choiced. Either to go in hidden menu 3845#*405# and update touch firmware or in settings and calibrate motion sensor. Sometimes touch doesnt work in bed or on table but i like it that way because you need to pick up your phone and interactive with it. Speaker is pretty loud for this device. Camera is ok. This phone supports also quickcharge 2.0 i already tested this with samsung charger. The only thing which is bad on this devicd is original charger which downgrades after some time. Lg is famous for this. The charger holds max 6 months of max capacity. Yesterday i bought quickwindow case for this phone and it is nice addition as lg g2 and g3 has it also. My next device after this will be Asus zenfone 2 and im glad that i had this lg l90. So long...

  • This phone works perfectly, unlocked version. T-mobile is crap so dont blame the phone. T-mobile version is full of bloatware and their own optimization. But then again your phone is doa! For gps you have internal gps! But yet again crappy a-gps by google. Go to settings and activate positioning in google settings. Always do a factory reset when you buy a phone. Deactivate bloatware in settings and charge full discharge full charge and you are good to go

  • Why???!!!! did I buy??!!!! I know..yes, it was the price and you know the saying...yes, you get what you pay for. I hate that I'm financially strapped right now and needed something a little more economical at this time. All I'm going to say is...as SOON as I am back to where I need to be financially, this phone will be history!!!! In all my years of buying cell phones, I have never had a problem with a brand new phone. I've bought the insurance through the years and of course had bad experiences with buying insurance and then when you have a problem, 2 years into the contract, they want to charge you 2 arms and 2 legs for the replacement. So no, I didn't buy the insurance..why...Oh, I'll only have it a year...and being a new phone, surely I'll be okay...WRONG!!! The battery will not hold a charge..thought it was the battery, sent me a new battery...doesn't fix my problems with screens freezing up on me. Text messages is a joke..you may get a message through and then again...NOT. Calls drop because the phone just completely shuts off...says something about overheating if you try to brighten your screen...and yes...I had gotten spoiled by my Nokia Lumina's GPS worked PERFECT and now...oh well...I'll have to borrow a friend's GPS system when I travel now. So they're sending me a new (another) LG Optimus L90. Of course they said oh, it may be new or like new...but I just paid for a NEW phone!!!!! I'm getting to where I dislike Tmobile anymore...but what can I say...I've gotten myself stuck in a jam! Lord help me endure these next 12 months...aarrgghh!!!!

  • I thought so too but then I read GPS problems are common in this device.

  • LG G2 mini or LG L90?

  • Good in features like smart screen, music sleep time, camera app cymera etc. Battery is pretty good . lasts one day for an average to above average user. Bad part is breaking data connection, while samsung is still showing data connection .Rating 6/10 for the price of Rs.16000.

  • this phone suks my whole family bought one and we all have troubles my screen is un responsive and the resets dont fix it, the phone suks the gorilla glass breaks easily also going back to my old phone

  • Specs are appealing but 12000 is not the right price i think. There are many more phones with better specifications below 12k.

  • Update is available for download. v10d-eur-xx it's 210mb but there are no changes in programs or anything else. stability update again and google patch

  • My battery goes for 4,5 -5 days. Ive set my screens brightness to 62%. When you used an app go to Battery option(because theres a list off apps that are currently used), ->press stop button on the app you want to unload from RAM and that will save lot energy. Youve also task manager to stop all apps (that are currently running) but some are still active thats why u should double check it on Battery option.

  • LG L90 is great phone for low price :D

  • really??

  • That's probably because of some apps. I've had that issue, went through all my apps, made sure I didn't have any apps which are unused. Now I get 45-55 hours of standby, with 6-7 hours of screen-on time.

  • Eats battery quickly perhaps of the Quad Core

  • Such argumentation doesn't really prove anything. This is a pretty good device for the price, and you're just out of luck if you keep getting defected ones.

  • got this phone from T-mobile, it keeps on freezing i can't make or receive calls or even hangup a call. they sent me a replacement device but got the same issues. looks like this is a defective model. stay away from this model.

  • Well that depends on what are you expecting from the photos. For FB or other social sites they both are sufficiently good with the slight edge for the LG.Printing photos is whole another different story, and if that's mean something for you mine SGS4 also sucks badly (as is the case with almost every phone out there).Point is if you don't do pixel peeping both cameras should suffice. Greetings

  • Both are good. You won't make a mistake if you get either Xperia M2 or LG L90. They are the same. Only difference is the UI.

  • my friend told me lumia 5mp camera are way more better than this LG 8mp camera...is he right? pliz tell me anyone

  • Bought L90 2 weeks back..extremely satisfied..good phone Pros: Good Display with Gorilla glass Handy and light weight Very good User interface with themes etc Excellent battery life very good sound output good flip cover(original)with window case cons : Nothing much to say

  • Well that is difficult question. M2 screen is just aweful. No ips! But on the other hand it have dual wifi band wich l90 doesnt have. It also support miracast but in l90 advantage it has no ir blaster. So what do you like, ir blaster minimum bloatware or wifi dual band ant+. Its very difficult to tell which is better. But main m2 disadvange is low quality display. You choose. Ir blaster better screen or dual wifi and miracast.

  • Xperia M2 or LG L90? Thanks folks!

  • Im using this phone for a month and its 1 of the best you can buy. Just think about it. It can manage all your email, its very fast, battery life is amazing, display is perfect, design of menu incl. pull down menu is perfect, its weight is perfect, Wi-Fi detection, connection and reach is the fastest Ive ever seen on a device. Thus far Ive encountered not 1 problem. Dont forget to buy the LG L90 Quickwindow Cover. Overall this phone makes me happy every day. Im going to buy the L40 soon as well! KitKat 4.4.2 is best Android so far. When an updates comes I hope its going to be Lollipop 5.0.1 or KitKat 4.4.4. Thanks LG!

  • Factory setting

  • Bro i think its good phone but not impressive

  • This phone cost now about 140 euros. The only flaw that this phone have is wifi hotspot range which is not so far. Even bloatware is minimum on this device except for google junk

  • After replacing my Samsung Galaxy SIII with LG L90 I was a little dissapointed. Now, after a few weeks I would not go back. LG90 is great for me. I use the phone for basic tasks and some limited number of applications (navigation, few games). I am not a very active user and I selected this phone also because of the battery. And the battery is excellent. First few charges I didn't know what to do because it behaved strangely. Now it settled down. The battery was fully charged on Monday morning and today on Friday evening it still has over 40%! That is what I was looking for and why I chose this phone. I was somewhat limited with choices because it is company phone and I could only select among the phones of particular operator's offer. If I would be able select any phone I would probably go for Moto G or X.

  • Clean Master is ok. It some app that activate or deactivate your setting depending on update or battery savings mode. Use CM security as it is small in memory and it's best 2014 review

  • Thank you! You all right! After the factory reset i try to see what the phone do and my phone didn't activate anything. The problem it's(i think) from the Bitdefender or Clean Master. Now i am very satisfy about my D405n, it's great. Thanks again! Multumesc!

  • go to setings-general-accasibility-color or inverse color

  • go to settings>accesibility and deselect "invert colors"

  • Gaming is better due to that Intel architecture. Power consumption isn't the best. (Google a fix for that) Camera is better. No Custom ROMs as of now. Feature packed ROM. 2GB RAM should be great. Display has a higher ppi. (also a tad bigger) Lollipop upgrade confirmed. Just some of the reasons for Zenfone. Development is better on the L90. Battery will never bother you. Cyanogenmod available for you to flash as of today. Root available. (Zenfone has issues with KK) 8 multi touch points vs 5 points on other budget phones IR blaster, in case you need it. Efficient cooling. (temperatures never reach too high) Lacks ambient light sensor. Lacks backlighting. (for the hardware keys) Some models have NFC. Allows moving apps to SD. (No KK phone allows that) Knock code is a kernel feature. (Not available in any other phones) Lollipop upgrade only via CM11 (as of now) Loud speaker adequate. (so you can actually hear it ringing) Removable battery. Swappable back cover. And some, for the L90.

  • Its better zenfone 5 but only with intel morgan chip. Z3530, Z3560 and Z3580 because of 64bit support upgradeble to lollipop

  • Which is better, this or the zenfone 5???

  • I'm quite pleased that I'm on 'v10d-IND-XX' WITHOUT LOSING root. (I updated from v10c to v10d BTW) Mighty impressed with this discovery. (I used Towelroot)

  • Wow that's interesting. L90 is getting cheaper though, while Moto G remains stuck at the same launch price (happened with Moto G 2013)

  • Deactivate unnecessary apps in settings, general, program, all. google drive google mail (you have already email client, use pop3 settings for google mail) google newsstand google movie google play game google plus google books google music hangouts talkback remote service cbs message Open taskbar press home button and hold press taskbar press more button on your right side press settings press cancel services all should be marked except for batteryguru and lux brightness if you have installed of course download clean master and go to phone boost press more button and deselect all in list except android system, user interface, home and you are done

  • This device are holding 48 hours sometimes even more. And for 3g you go to settings. Internet share, mobile network and you have option for 2g but its not necessarily because 3g doesnt it your battery like before!

  • I think you have some app installed which log position thru wifi or data. install watchdog to see which one. There is no logical explanation for wifi to be active by it self. Otherwise perform factory reset

  • Thank you for the answer. I don't have batteryguru on my phone and it's happen i any place (not home), i try with anything (some other programs and of course with power management from my phone)and i still have this issue. I see that it's happening between 15%-10% even if i charging my phone.

  • Hi guys! Can anybody tell me how long does the battery last? On the average - I need a phone to have a battery that lasts 48 hours... any other major issues than the camera not initializing? Can you disable the 3G if wanted?

  • We dont know that yet but it will probably be. Manufactures chaise each other now with updates. P.s apps op works without root, haaah strange but good now i can use sms time again.

  • Is lg l90 android upgradable.... Currently it is in 4.4.2 ... can any one please help me out

  • i suppose you are at home when battery is on 15 procent. If you are using batteryguru. deactivate wifi proximity and wifi managment by batteryguru. try to activate and deactivate energy saving in settings so they stay disabled. third option go to google service settings and check settings. also check gps. recommended settings is battery saving mode.

  • Dear all, my model it's D405n and i have a little problem: when the battery goes down and reach 15% the connection (WI-FI and Mobile Data) are activated automatically. If anyone have or had this issue please send me an answer to solve this.I try with factory but doesn't work. Thanks!

  • go to seettings general tab and go to accessibility. activate and deactivate couple of times screeen tones. see if that helps other wise do a factory reset

  • In settings general tab backup and restore last item factory restore

  • This is knock code feature.you need to disable it

  • Where i need to go to do factory reset ???

  • Hello everyone, i have LG L90 fone and i do enjoy it,but i dont know where i touched that totally altered the picture quality of the fone, every thing now appear dark... i've tried all the setting i know but nothing seems to work..i will really appreciate if some1 could tell me where in setting shld i go... thanks!

  • Friends can i bought this mobile? The condition of the mobile is good or not? If not tell me your opiniön!

  • factory reset phone 2-3 times and the problem is gonne. It's bug in software. If you use clients like viber, skype or oovoo they pull camera permission which fail to access camera. the phone is still good to go!

  • oh yes...

  • Hi. i bought lg l90 abouth one month ago. My experience are amazing. Phone is very very fast, it can support a lot of aplication, camera is very good. But there is only one problem with camera, and anyone who can HELP ME, PLEASE, tell me the answer.. Here is a problem. I turn on camera, i took one - three picture and it said that "FAILED TO INITIALIZE CAMERA" ... I turn off camera and again turn on, and then i can take 5+ picture. It is a same problem with video recording. I'm recording about 10 seconds, and then it's turn off. And i need again to turn on camera to record longer... ANYONE WHO HAD THIS PROBLEM , PLEASE TELL ME HOW CAN I SOLVE IT ?

  • Can someone tell me can you use video on viber on this phone?

  • Mine too

  • Absolutely, same problems have my phone.

  • Ive bought this smartphone a few days ago and it's the best smartphone for under 200 Euro. With kitkat 4.4.2 runnin very smooth and batery that goes very long. Im happy with this phone! Tnx LG!

  • Battery is very very poor. Not up to a day, just 7hrs why why why??? .

  • In Poland L90 is more profitable than Moto G. :)

  • You need to do factory reset at least 2-3 times. if you stay on dalvik and not enable developers mode then thoose problems will never happen again. This phone have unstable art and if you mess with developer mode which is also unstable you gonna have same problems. Now the bluetooth problem happens on what kind of connection you have with other devices. if its pc or car bluetooth or unfinished pair that i dont know. camera issue have to do with apps like viber. skype and third camera app which deppends on that service which is camera. same thing goes for cm security if you enable anti theft feature which also works with camera. but it's not the phone. Phone needs another update which is stable or we hope lollipop upgrade

  • I have LG L90 phone. It is very good phone but i have some very annoying problems. 1 problem: Sometimes when the phone is on the table and i just want to call somebody or send a message the phone completely freeze. I mean i cant wake it up. Screen is completely black. I try to call myself wit other phone and it said that the number is not available. And when phone starts working again (after 10-20 min) it is in AIRPLANE mode. So its turning on itself Airplane mode. How is this possible? 2. problem: When i want to take a picture, sometimes is problem with camera. It says failed to initialize camera or something like that. But this is probably common problem. 3. When i want to open some apps it says bluetooth stop working. Yeah alright but i dont even have bluetooth turned on. So it is great phone but this problems are very annoying. The first one is most problematic. So what can i do? Phone is about 2 and half months old. All is original, no root or something like that. I have all updates which are available for this phone and that is kitkat 4.4.2

  • Depends on where you live. Check with your local store. The price gap has already closed in and AFAIK L90 is getting cheaper though the Moto G will cost the same.

  • And whats the difference in price between them???

  • Get the Moto G 2014 instead. Not much of a difference internally and on top of that you get a slightly better camera(in terms of focusing) and great dev support.

  • Lol thats pretty strange..do a factory reset once.

  • lg l90 d405 whether it will be release in indonesia ? I mean really want it.... please answer.

  • HOLI

  • lg g2 mini looks good spec wise, but check the n./w support in your area, I couldn't buy it as these phone from amazon /ebay didn't have mobile support of 1700/2100

  • Here are some tips for you all!!! I was trying external sd card for so long time now on kitkat since i bought this phone, like compressing/decompressing files directly on external card without using sd move to external sd and so on. Even i got ES file explorer to work on this device with write permisson vice versa form sd to external and it works that to. Now as all you know stock web browser have option to download to external directly but that was not the problem. The problem was chrome. And even other third part apps like (camera app and bittorent). This already works but i will epxlain how. I use same technique for other apps to. No root for this simple fix. As long you have apps filename folder on Android/data to external sd card to empty it works. So let see you want use ES transfering from sd to extsd then you create empty folder with the same name com.estrongs.android.pop under Android/data directory in external card. Create an empty folder like Download and make shortcut from this Download folder to your home screen. In Es settings your download directory should be just that you have created even for bluetooth and as main homw folder. Choosing donwload option from stock web browser will prompt option to save with es downloader. If you choose that as always then Chrome is set to do the same thing. In home screen you have already shortcut of Download folder always. For compresion llike zarchive. make the same folder in the same way empty in external and you can compress or decompress files just in that folder. For camera app like camera snap hdr it needs to stay on internal memory because if you move app to sd it doesnt work. Bittorent have no option of moving app to sd just because of that issue with kitkat but you need to select each time external bittorent com file directory BEFORE download and it works. Es you can move to sd card and even Zarchive. I tried this with games but it doesnt work and i even tried different solutions without root. I already have on rooted phone and i will find a solution for chrome by default and games.

  • Hi fuscnet, the touch bug that you explained, you can go in 3845#*405# or 410 or 415 depending which model you have and in hidden menu go to settings. There you will find update touch firmware, second you need phone to rest on horizontal alignment and calibrate sensor. For that you go in phone settings regular under main you will find motion or movement or sensor depending how english is translating in menus and down at the end you will see motionsensor calibration. But there is one strange bug about the touch itself and i dont know if that is a bug or a feature but when the phone is not in your hands touch sometimes doesnt work at all so if it's a bad thing or good i dont know but for me its a good thing because you interact with the phone which is a good thing. For Wifi download batteryguru which is only available for snapdragon phones and set apps to not refresh at all. Deactivate any automatic updates via Wifi and in LG's task manager you have option to kill apps of your choosing and from refreshing. If that doesnt work then reset phone in factory settings.

  • Hi, i bought LG L90 some months ago here in Italy, the phone works great, it's smooth and has a very high quality hands-on experience. I would only ask about a strange bug that seems only I have because i haven't found anything like that on the internet. The phone has some kind of freak touch screen bug, sometimes when i woke up the screen using home button or the unblock button, the phone things like i'm touching the screen i don't know how to explain it's like i touch a specified part of screen that really i don't touch, for just a second and then it don't unblock the screen because the touch was only a specified part and for not enough time to get it unblocked. Another bug i've found that, for real, happens more times than the other one, is that when i turn the wifi on it randomly launch an app, mostly of the times facebook or the update menu. If someone you has the same problems, that i repeat happens only few times, please let me know so i can accept the issue like a common bug and not a problem of my specified phone. Thank you very much and sorry for my bad english.

  • I'm getting sick and tired of android crashes, fragmantetions and outdated drivers. Even after so long years of android system is highly unstable. I talked to one guy at microsoft and ask why the h*ll dont you make full fledged windows smartphone not windows phone but full fledged and every update would go correctly because of driver source library. No fragmantetion at all. Android told everybody since honeycomb that the fragmantetion was over. Hah talk about bigtime BS. And let say for the sake of argument that people use this system in buisnesses. How? Ios is as big Bs as Android. Maybe blackberry is most stable. For pc Microsoft and mac. And then it came lollipop. Version 5.0 but wait after two weeks its already version 5.1 one month version 5.2 and then NO fragmantation. Google make driver source library allready and push updates like Microsoft.

  • Art and developer mode active doesnt work with latest chrome update on this phone. It works with factory reset but not enabling developers mode at all and staying on dalvik by default!!!!

  • I actually find myself having at least 30-35 % battery when i go to sleep in the evening so i'd say 1,5 days, if on battery saving mode and you use it modestly 2 days. I've been on hikes having it on airplane mode turning it on now and then to text and it held up for 4-4,5 days!

  • hello, how many days does the battery with average usage? thank you

  • correction buy g2 mini because i saw lg will update to version 5.0 for l line devices it's not clear! but l90 it top of the l line??

  • Between those two. L90! But if you want more resolution on display go for lg g3s. Just by l90. Choose right color black or white and check if you can get with nfc thats d405N model.

  • lg g2 mini or lg l90?

  • I have the D415 variant (basically the same thing as D405) and I love this phone. 5/5 stars for this one. Battery is great, performance is great, screen is crisp for its low resolution, and the camera is adequate for its pricetag. I would recommend this phone to anyone.

  • Buy this one because there is no difference between thoose two models except bsi camera? By the way dont trust specs like miracast etc because it doesnt have miracast and all of thoose sd400 models not even lg g3s. Buy D405N with N as it comes with NFC. Price now is even better

  • Thanks for the quick answer,it's a good phone,I am thinking between it and lg g2 mini

  • They dont have a led light. But it is surely a good mid range phone. You could check some reviews

  • Is there a Led notification in this device, because in old L-series there was and I liked it.In reviewes they don't say anything about that.PLS TELL ME

  • I've tested this with my samsung galaxy tab 8.0 and got one bar with distance over 50 meters with signal about -70 to -80dbm on channel with minimun overlaping same on lg l90 with best channel in area but fluctuation is bad very bad. It cant go more then 10 meter max indoors but this is only in hotspot mode wifi is good but not hotspot. I need just anybody to confirm this!

  • I've noticed that wifi hotspot is fluctuating very much. It's not stable at all. LG i hope you read this. Wifi hotspot goes on n band as allmost every device out there but the range of hotspot range is subpar. And i cant be sure if it got to do with phone or integreted wifi chip but this is snapdragon and snapdragons are stable. Can anybody confirm this please about wifi hotspot fluctuation. You can analize either by other android app wifi analyzer or by pc wifi analyzer. Fluctuation is about additional -20 to -50db on one meter range behind soffa or behind closest wall. 5-10 meters you ger drop to over -70 to -90db single one bar on wifi connectivity and bandwidth is awefull slow. Can somebody confirm this if it is the same result so i can repair my device at lg. Tnx

  • hi..Which country are you and whats the network youre using? Are you getting 3g or just 2g?

  • Does LG L90 d415 (T mobile) has UMTS 2100 band? Can it connect to 3G network in Europe or Asia?

  • Please update t mobile lg l90 to 4.4.4

  • Does LG L90 d415 (T mobile) has UMTS 2100 band? Can it connect to 3G network in Europe or Asia?

  • The black color on display have no effect on lcd. This phone doesnt have amoled which have no energy consumption on black its just dead pixels (unactive). Thats why white color is best for lcd of every kind becuase you can dim down brightness(display led) and still can see very well because of white background which is most reflective for us even in the dark. You tought if you set black on full brightness it will consume less energy. That works only with amoled displays

  • I have the T-Mobile LG l90. Love it but it needs an update for for performance, change the settings color to black and the battery drops 2% instead of 1%. Please fix these

  • this phone is very waste

  • Use Lux auto brightness version 1.95 as its most stable for this phone. Convert runtime back to dalvik and again to art runtime after and it will solve almost every problem, its seems that apps doesnt autoupdate to art in installation because after every reboot art optimizes new apps which are installed. So convert to dalvik and again to art. Flawless :)

  • Ok let's hear it guys. I have been using this phone now for over 6 months and its great. Now to downside. What problems do you have with your device. After 6 months battery starts to degrade more as manufacturer gives only 6 months to it's battery. Other flaws comes more like in software. Using auto brigthness lux gives error message from time to time fail to initialize camera do to time speed of activating camera to collect light but it's in the software. Second bluetooth error stop working i've been having almost since start when updating apps or at any time from time to time. Viber transfer to second device unables sound which i think its all about lg. It happens to my old O2X with skype to. When you move app to sd card i must restart phone to open that app. That is an error to. But overall its a great device when you get to know it more. It needs stability update asap. Now idle time is maybe the best in all phones. I just cant believe that idle on battery uses zero energy. What do you think guys about your devices.

  • The infrared port depends on the market. I just called my carrier and its model doesn´t have infrared

  • Its a great phone and runs very smooth vfm i love it

  • thankyou very much

  • Where do i find!?

  • Want to have theme like g3.. Try lg g3 theme by rocketserveware from playstore.. Its really good and works well for my lg l90 D410..

  • yes it does have fm radio

  • Yes, the LG L90 D405 (for which this comment section is for) does have am FM radio that does not use data or require an internet connection to work. I know this to be true, because I actually own the phone.

  • can someone please tell me if this phone really has fm radio or not. I know you guys are gonna talk about internet radio but i want to use real fm radio like the one that does not eat any data. if the phone does not have real fm radio( fm radio that does not require data of wifi ) than are there any tricks can be done to have fm radio on it.

  • Lol. Remote call service. Never mind i cant explain my self dont have the energy. You go man!

  • check remote call service in apps this application is used for wirless display

  • I wonder what does wireless display certificate do in developers mode. Cant seem to find anything in settings. Doesnt this enable miracast??? Why is it this function present in developers mode if it cant do anything. Can somebody confirm this?

  • Yes it did. Tnx Ishimura. I just cant accept the thing that v4.0 is lower in transfering speed then v2.1 edr. my v2.1 edr had speed as much as 150 to 300 kbits. now the v4.0 is about 56 kbit transfering speed but pan mode (bluetooth internet tethering) is like 3mbit for internet wich is odd. And i seems not to have bluetooth advanced profiles on my laptop which also odd. a2dp is handy for almost everything but have no clue where are profiles. No obex, no control device, no av profile, opp is more like manual then automatic. For transfering large files i use wifi transfer pro it works even without internet but it's one way direction from phone to pc thru web interface without internet but two ways if connected to internet. Pc suite doesnt support other files with other extensions. and the Lg 90 lack real smartshare software it depends only on pc suite. Wifi direct is not complete in this phone. I think it's only option is to detect and transfer using es file explorer but other profiles in wifi direct is also missing. miracast is disabled by default and it's not compatible with samsung wifi direct allshare. I would like to know the support of lg l90 wifi direct form lg itself. the capability is like in a mist. Unclear

  • I think bluetooth 4.0 is more a power consumption thing than speed. IF you remember litsening to music with BT 2.1 drained the battery like crazy. If you want files to be sent from a PC or vice versa try the LG PC suite. It connects your phone to the Computer via WiFi and you cand send all the photos, music and videos you want without a cord. And yeah. bluetooth IS really slow when moving files. I think its more a a audio stream media than anything else. May even work with wifi direct. When i want to share something with someone i mail it to them, if the file i bigger than 20MB (gmail max) i use dropbox or google drive. I hope this helped.

  • Now i'm going frustrated. Can somebody explain to me what the hell is bluetooth 4.0. I bought new laptop with bluetooth 4.0 and i'm very happy with my purchase but the bluetooth data transfer is aweful. Its very slow like bluetooth v1.1 i tought it was my laptop but when i tested l90 to samsung tab 3 8.0 which also have bluetooth 4.0 the speed is also superslow. Hell my old lg o2x with bluetooth 2.1 edr is way faster then this. Is bluetooth 4.0 false marketing. Whats the deal with having v4.0 over 2.1 when its slower. This is driving me crazy. Where is symbios in 4.0 blutooth wifi combo. Can somebody explain this

  • This is very strange. I tried to research more about the battery in l90 and i was also testing this with my galaxy 3 8.0 tablet and its correct. I used battery monitor widget pro to find out that battery in l90 is of 2460 mah capacity. App pulls that info from android. And i also saw how much of my battery have degraded which is 3mah over 4 months of usage which is great but the thing is that capacity of device in android is written for 2460. I will try to see if new entry of 2540 have any change or false reading.

  • I ment it's better then current available a53 (sd410-sd615) phones in battery life.

  • a53 ? I think you meant a7.

  • LG did not incorporate that feature in this phone. So don't worry. It's not suppose to.

  • My back & menu button don't light up!is it suppose to do that?or what?PLEASE HELP.

  • Not have light?

  • I wonder if the phone have miracast because of wifi direct and really hopes that it will have chromecast mirroring support in near future. Damn that would be nice.

  • I have same toughts. Idle time is insane good. This is maybe the best sd400 phone out there when it comes to battery life. Not even sd410 in lenovo vibe z2 with 3000mah or htc desire 820 can match sd400 in l90 with more energy efficient cores a53. This phone is very well optimized.

  • The L90 D405N does have an NFC module. That's what the 'N' in the model number stands for.

  • lg l90 no nfc .

  • I just spent 5 days on an exercise with the Swedish Homeguard and my battery on the phone battery was at 29%. I did ahve flightmodem on when i was not using it but still. Didnt have any need for my external battery pack. Taking pictures and browsing facebook, twitter, gps, mail aind youtube while on patrolduty and the battery held up fine. Imagine this class of phone with one of those extended batterys with a new backcover, 4000mah or more, that would be insanely awesome!

  • What ?

  • App is the problem. I had to refresh the inbox multiple times to see unread mails.

  • This isn't uncommon, but, the phone only heats while using the camera for a while and also drains battery faster. That's it. Nothing drastic like Facebook toasting the phone and battery dying out in minutes. Facebook is a culprit app. I confirmed it via Wakelock detector. I suggest using Wakelock to identify the badly behaving app. Look which one is eating up memory and CPU cycles then get Greenify and hibernate them. Oh, and BTW, you need root to make this all work. Try removing Facebook to see if problem persists.

  • That space crunch isn't anything new. The Android OS takes up around 4GB of space and no phone has more(space) than that. Those that do, have around 16GB of space out of which the OS occupies 4GB so you end up with around 12GB of effective space. So, no need to worry about that. You can root then swap internal memory with external memory so if you insert a 32GB card, perform a swap, then you have 32GB of internal memory and 3.87GB of external memory :P

  • My D410 has a VGA camera

  • The L90 has many versions worldwide and even within those there are variations in the camera module. You can follow the CM11 development thread for it over at XDA to know more but the dev is a bust person so may or may not respond. Mine, too, doesn't have the NFC

  • How magic peris

  • guyz is this phone come to egypt??

  • Sd 400 doesn't heat as other processors. The only way you can get heat is by downloading huge files like over 2gb - 5gb at once. I dont have facebook app installed because that app is a mess and will always be a mess it has like over 70 background activities. Tnx but no tnx. Twitter i never used but i guess its the same as facebook.

  • Download the Gmail app from the playstore. The native email app is pretty bad.

  • Download the Gmail app from the PlayStore. The native email app is pretty bad. @lakshmi

  • I bought LG 90 mobile recently and accessed my mail (gmail) from new mobile. But I can able to view only mails which I send from the mobile, in the inbox. Old mails were not able to be seen. Why is it so?

  • Hey I bought thus phone like 5 days ago and it gets really hot in the top part of the back, around the camera. This happens after like 10/15 minutes of use while im on WiFi facebook facebook messenger Twitter or tumblr or even on Google chrome. Is this like fixable and I should go to the store and get it done or is a commun problem????????? Help plz I took off all apps kept the one that came with the phone but as I am typing this it is warm almost hot right now!! HELP ???? also the battery drops super fast but I guess that's because of the overheating problem idk .......

  • Glad you like the phone. NFC stand's for near field communication. It allows your device to communicate via accesories which have nfc tags build in. another way of doing stuff with your phone like wifi and bluetooth antennas. well this is the same thing as an antenna. another way of communication for accesories etc. but i'm sorry i dont think you have nfc on your device because you would see it in settings. the only thing that i'm intressed in if somebody who have d405n with nfc if they can test their device with wireless charging patch if it works, tnx

  • Actually it does have led light, but i dont think it is working...

  • by the way, what is that NFC thing? how can i use it and how does it work??

  • hey, thanks for the response!, i just went for it and bought lg l90. it was on sale and in my country it costs around 250 and i bought it for 187 ...so it was a VERY good price and i even compared with other mid range cell phones and this was the best... the rear camera is pretty good but the front camera was said to be 1.3mpx as in the store, it turns out it only has a VGA mode, kinda sucked but it's no that bad... hey! you can't have it all with a price like that am i right?!... anyway besides that the only other thing that is kind of a bummer is the STORAGE SPACE i thought 8gb (or 3gb whatever )would do the trick but its kind of difficult to manage to keep games apps and launchers all in... and not that many apps can be moved to micro sd card, so i guess i have to find other stuff to do besides being stuck to my phone playing games hahahaha ;) buy it, it's very worth it despite storage and 'selfie' cam ;) ;)

  • LG D405 and D410 has 640x480 (VGA) front camera i believe. My LG D405 Has 640x480 (VGA). I hope i helped. Enough if you ask me since the phone doesnt have 4G, you wont be able to have very good videoconversations in 1080p anyhow...

  • hey, i need a fast answer, i know that there is two types of this model,lg l90, d405 and d410, i know that d 410 has a front camera of 1.3 mpx, does d405 have one too??? i searched in various websites and some told me the front camera was VGA (0.3mpx) and others told the front camera was 1.3 mpx.... in online store is not specified... please help :((((

  • hey/ test

  • I wouldnt complain to much about nfc, when have you ever really used it besides sometimes when you want to be cool, thats the only way i used it on my old L9

  • This model sell on egypt??? المو&;#1576;ايل ده نزل مصر ؟؟

  • Unfortuenetly MY swedish version D405 does NOT have nfc.

  • does lg l90 D405 have nfc ??

  • Sadly GSMArena didn't consider it wise to review this phone because they thought the 'G2 Mini' isn't any different from L90, or so I presume, they dropped the idea of reviewing it. Considering sound quality, you know that most phone speakers aren't revolutionary and that you HAVE to have some decent pair of IEMs to make the most of phone audio gear. So for comparison purposes, leave out the boom speakers of HTC. Fine, now you should also know that even high end phones don't have loud enough speakers so the mid-range and low-end phones have an upper hand here. Finally, in the same price range(depends on where you live). Now where I live, comparison can only be drawn with the following, 1. Moto G 2. Galaxy Grand 2 3. Xperia M2 Moto G is as good. Grand 2 is almost identical. Xperia M2 is a bit muffled. So as you see, external speakers do vary a bit but you know what, most of the times you'd end up using the IEMs anyway so don't bother much about that. The speaker on the L90 is loud enough but not bassy (and no phone speaker is, besides the Boom ones found on HTC) Plug in your IEMs and you find that performance is nearly identical. For best results, Root and install 'Viper4Android' because trust me, you will find a huge difference between the stock app and this.

  • What ? If you meant those capacitive backlight, then, yes it is absent. I do find that annoying at times but you know what, I have the D410 and it doesn't even have the physical home button. So imagine fumbling with 4 invisible buttons with only haptic feedback to guide you, which is, well, the same for any button. Experience will tell you that the most used buttons are the 'Back' and the 'Home' button with intermittent use of the 'Menu' button. The 'Back' is on the extreme left, so no confusion regarding that. The 'Home' sits right next to the 'Back' button, so it isn't that far either. Now the 'Menu' button is kinda mixed bag. If you press the 'Dual SIM' button once then you will just get the feedback. Tells you nothing about what just happened. But if you long press the 'Dual SIM' key, then, you will taken to the SIM management section. So don't long press and you'll do fine. Because a single press will NOT activate the 'Dual SIM' key and you will know, for sure, that you have hit the wrong key. No harm done.

  • Do you mean the backlight for the capacitive buttons down next to the home button. No they did not incorporate that in this model. Doesnt bother me. And about soundquality... I haven't oticed any difference in music quality, it all depends on the headphones or bluetooth speaker you use, thats what i think. The built in speaker isn't hi-fi exactly.. but it gets the job done when you want to show your friend a video or something.

  • How is this phone s sound quality compared to the others in this price range ?

  • Does LG L90 has no button light...my phone doesnt light up?

  • Found it. Thanks! Why have they hidden it like that? HAvent seen that before...

  • touch on Build Number 7 times

  • settings-->general-->about phone-->common-->software information-->build number x5 Tap the "Build Number" 4-5 times or just keep tapping...Haha. It'll entertain you with some random blurbs like, "You are a few taps away from being a developer" and then finally it says, like on my phone, "No need, you are already a developer" Now, don't just jump. Go back to settings. Scroll down to the bottom. Wait for it...there's the "Developer Options" section and you are a developer... XD

  • Oh well, that's an awesome back cover. And that long pressing vol- button totally works on my D410... XD

  • Charging is not just plugging any charger into any phone. I tried using a third party Samsung charger because it was rated 5V-2Amp in an attempt to fast-charge the phone but it only ended up in taking an hour more. so I assume I'd be damaging it by doing it. I suppose the phone, not the battery, just isn't accepting high amperage. So use the stock charger or if you don't have it, at least look for a 5V-0.85Amp charger For statistics, I just did it once but still it is an indication for what to expect. 25%-100% takes around 3.5 hours on the third party charger 15%-100% takes 2.5 hours on the stock charger So, use the bundled adapter. The battery is pretty good IMHO. There is little to no charge leakage when left idle.

  • I was playing around with my phone and i cannot find developer options. Where do i find it?

  • Really great quality combination. Solid design and slim profile, large clear screen, good battery life, will run any app I can find. The only thing missing for me is the indicator led for messages etc. Camera is average, speaker not so great but I don't use them much so the phone is ideal for me.

  • That dual sim function ought to be awesome! I got the single version, but imagine just to change numbers at the touch of a button! Fantastic.

  • This phone is really good..Came out to be a total surprise as never expected LG to punch such durability and quality. I have the dual version but the only difference between D405 and D410 is that D410 has dual sim. The battery life is amazing and so is the performance of the phone. I bought this phone a month ago and till now I did not notice any problem at all..

  • Punisher, be my soulmate. Jk. I havent charged my phone now for more than 48 hrs and i have 37 percent left. Talk about batterylife! And i mean, notification LED, never had it on a phone, the only thing it does is blink the colour of the app that is notifying right? You might as well turn the screen on with that amazing doubletap and read the message! Am I right?

  • No you are not the only one blah is a troll. Lg l90 is 3x times cheaper then s5, g3, 2x cheaper then g2, 2 times cheaper then s5 mini and htc one mini m8. 4 times cheaper then iphone 5s and he talks about notification led, how crazy is that. As i written before the main feature of this phone is batterylife. Even more then blah's s5 with extreme battery save mode. This phone can last as long with 3x times cheaper price. Now it's 160 euros actual price.

  • Geez Am i the only one that doenst care about a notification LED? This phone costs 3x less than an s5, what more do you want from it?

  • No notification led, this has to be the only phone on the planet that doesn't have one. Even simple clam shell phones have them. Good battery life is the only good thing going for this phone. Can't wait to get my s5 and toss this turd phone in the trash.

  • Pepe. Yes. It has a built in IR-Controller a few milimetres from the secpnd mic on top. It has a great app that LG made. It can control most TVs, DVDs and Blu-Ray machines.

  • awesome phone battery back is awesome love this phone

  • IR Remote Control. It this phone work as a remote control for tv?

  • Agree with indy, I bought the first L9 L9 that came out at totally overprise, this phone is 40% cheaper and a whole lot better. My version lacks NFC but then again, when do you use NFC? It's a cool feature but I'd gladly change it out for the IR-remote thing which LG did for this phone. Great addon!

  • Super Phone, I`m using it nonstop and the battery holding up for a hall day long! It is ok when you`re thinking that it`s used with Wi-Fi and data download and music movies and hall other things. Camera is fine , at 8 mp . Super phone comparative with the price at which you`re finding it!

  • Ia made a few calls now from my bunker room with poor signal and i didnt hear anything remotely like the Kitkat sound. I dont think i've ever heard the "kitkat-sound". Maybe something in settings?

  • I have not. But i think it's your carrier. But even if so it doesnt have to be at your end. The other person have phone to mic to and who knows whats the issue. I think this phone have superior ear speaker sound like any other with secondery mic. Try again test again try to do factory reset (hard reset) and test. Everyone that talks to me ask me am i talking thru phone. Yes i do. But i hear you like cristal clear and loud too. So signal drop i dont know. Here in Sweden we have really good carriers. No problem with quality of voice. But even i have problems with this device not really but with pc driver. My mtp usb driver on lg software mode wont install. I've tried everything but no luck. Must test this on different pc

  • Thanks for reply.I am talking about Kat Kat noise during normal voice call over mobile to Mobile. When one signal bar goes down it starts more and I miss one word during conversion and I have to ask "what did you say " Had any one faced this issue. ?

  • Totally agree with Punisher! Li-Ion batteries are made this way. Old car batteries and new ones you can charge a bit at a time bot not a litium-ion och variants of it. Myself I experience the batterytime on my LG L90 to be exeptional! Even connected to 3G all the time with screen set to 100% due to sunlight it holds up. So defeinetly charge phone from low to high with high-amp charger. USB on computer charges with tops 0.4 amps... You want at least 1 amp, some chargers are 2,1A, that charges the phone in like 1,2 hours mathematically... I was also bummed that it only had 4GB on onboard memory but i havent found myself had that space filled up because i have a SDcard for all my music etc. I bought a case for my phone and got it this morning. Impressivly cheap, case + screen protector and fit ok. The buttons on the LG L90 we can all agree that they are small and sometimes hard to find, with this case it's extremly easy to find because they pertrude out from the case a little. If you want to see pictures of the phone with the case i can send my mailadress to you if you'd like. I just aslo now realized that if your phone is locked and you longpress the volumebutton the camera automatically starts! Nice feature!

  • When charging your phones battery, charge by mains adaptor only (if possible), do not disconnect it when it reaches 100%, leave it to charge for a further 1 or 2 hours (it's called topping off), which is the most critical part of charging a battery. When finished, you may think you have a new phone or new battery, because the improvement in battery life that you will get afterwards will surely surprise you.

  • download app called batteryguru disable all app refresh. second i presume you are a girl and maybe you charge your phone like 15 min or 1 hour at the time as never discharge and charge in full cycle. to get most of your battery you must charge at 100 procent without break and discharge to 0 procent without break and then charge once again at 100 procent without a break. avoid usb pc charge because it's slow charging.

  • Hi all, I bought this mobile last month, battery backup is very bad. Its frequently reducing the battery charge on every minute, Without using internet battery backup is only 6 to 7 hours. All other features are good. Pls tell me the solution for battery backup.

  • No, only up to 32GB microSDHC card. Source:

  • Lg L90 actually has 4Gb internal. :(

  • my rotation work as normal but you can icrease animation speed or just try if it will work. if you want to keep animations increase amount in developer mode you have 3 options, or deactivate all of them if you dont want to have animations. it will solve your problem. for incall sound its your carrier it have nothing to do with phone because quality of voice call thru gsm or 3g band comes form your carrier. test which works better 2g band or 3g band and compare by your self the quality of voice call. for speaker test download some app form store or go to hidden menu and test from there 3845#*405# (410) or (415)

  • i'm not sure what do you talk about exactly. If you have sound in notifications during the call then you should go to respective app and change it to system notification sound like in viber. facebook notification i dont know but there is a different solution for all notifications even during the call. make your system notification silent with vibration except message stand alone notification which you can change for sms if you want it. you just go to sms settings and there you have sound notification also just for sms. For signal drop or signal variation this is first time i hear that for any phone. i know that skype and viber have some crazy stuff during something else and your sound stops. either with speakers or headspeaker. but this has nothing to do with phone it's on every phone. it is app itself. overall sound on this device incall is superior because you have noise cancellation so can you tell more about what do you mean exactly

  • No..sound is not related to notification for sure.it is when phone tries to pull signal.I am aware about rotation. I am saying rotation is not smooth.

  • Its a super fast phone, im. Using or d'Or over a month nog and i realy like it!of hou want a schrap smartphone that performs well i should recommend this one

  • Your comment about as i understand it "a sound when you get a notification during cellular calls", i couldn't find how to turn this off, try another "cellphone app". This feature is built into the LG Calling app i believe. Myself i find this both helpful and sometomes annoying when alotof them comea t the same time. Have not experienced any rotation issues, if you find it rotating when you dont want to, turn off rotation (sorry if im being silly and thinking you dont know this already).

  • Hi all,I purchased this phone last month after reading all reviews by you but facing basic problem while talking.ear phone makes noise like "Kat Kat "during talk particularly during signal strength moves down.it is really annoying as I could not hear all words properly. This was nit the case with Samsung or Nokia phone.it happens only when we talk to Mobile networks. Is any one observed this issue? When I showed this to service center person says it is normal and gave me another model of LG as stand by and I observed same issue.even this models has rotation issues. Rest all good.please suggest solution.

  • I got a Armour case for my L90, 10 $! I'll give it a review when i get it!

  • Get SDB case from ebay at Just 200

  • Lol. Killed it !

  • U mean the LED notification or what?

  • Dont know why the messaging would be inproper and NO, It does NOT support OTG.

  • Hi guys i want buy this lg l90 dose this phone spport otg and some commets in reveiw says msging is not proper

  • It doesnt light up.when.I reciv msgs.. Y is.that?

  • indeed after some more time i've noticed that autofocus is working.

  • Hello, anybody who live in US don't miss this deal. I just bought this phone for only $99 + $30 refill card + $10 simcard kit. So the total is $139. It so cheap, it has 4.7 screen, LTE, 4.4 KitKat, microsd card, NFC and good 2540 mah battery. Much better than Moto G LTE

  • you have autofocus in video recording. you would be surprised how many you could find in snap camera hdr app. so there is autofocus in recording mode

  • So i have this for about 3h now, so far so good, at first gps was unable to find satelites, but after 3-5min it found first, then after few seconds i've got 11/13 satelites, (loc: Lithuania), camera pictures is okay, there is no autofocus / focus in recording mode (thats sad) so far so good, battery life is nice.

  • Is camera on this phone as good as camera on samsung galaxy s3?

  • Is camera on this phone as good as camera on samsung galaxy s3?

  • As far as I know, on all roms always was a bug with FM radio. Before you flash new rom, check it known bugs ;-)

  • I'm from Turkey and I'm using LGE-D504TR. FM Radio app is not available on my country's rom. When I flashed other country's ROM fm radio app is available, but I can't listen radio. FM Radio application screen is empty (headset plugged). Is there fm radio receiver on my device? Or how can I check it?

  • Thanks that's what I thought

  • I had bought this phone and simply fenomenal. I recommended 100%

  • normal facilities, what do you talk about. almost every phone have draft auto save mode and i mean every phone even iphone. you just dont send it and it's saved. special button for call history???? are you serious, even there every phone has that, open dialer and you have everything. and for so called auto signature are we still talking about phones or email??? who the hell uses auto signature on sms, o boy i think you confuse people about something that is standard not even iphone or blackberry have auto signature on sms it's just nuts. you talk rubbish

  • Normal SIM = Mini SIM, which this phone has.

  • European verison has normal SIM-card size

  • What king of sim card? Normal size or micro sim?

  • This phone does not have normal facility like message draft save mode, auto signature is not there. there is no call history special icon. Not advisible to buy these phone, without even basic facility.

  • wow this is record so far with moderate usage. web browsing, viber chat, play store, wifi 90% connection 10% data connection, some calls like 5 min per call, youtube video 61 hours. i hope this unit gets android L as it has project volt

  • Thank you punisher. I did that and it went better. Im gonna give it a few more runs to try it out :)

  • You have several positioning modes i would suggest that you use high precision mode, if that doesnt help download app for gps test like when you can see how much of sattelites are connected how high signal is then write it down on paper, hard reset your phone download same app again and compare the test if not then go and repair your phone at store

  • Love the phone. Cheaper and better than my Old LG L9. However im having issues with gps tracking with for instance Runkeeper and Endomondo. My marker is jumping around like crazy and giving me the time of 14 minutes on a 20.000m run. Jumping around like crazy. Has anyone else had this issue or should i go back and exchange it for a new one? The Remotething is awesome too, doesnt work with terrestrial recievers tho since its a wierd brand. But almost all tvs! You have to point it at the tv-ir-reciever ofc like any other remote. And gotta love that kitkat 4.4.2. I hope they will upgrade it to Android L too :) Can someone please answer me on the gps thing. 50 % of my use with the phone is gps-involved.

  • I agree, i wonder which variant does have 1.3 mp front camera as it is written in gsmarena spec. And even for lg i dont know why they didnt include one l90 as main with all of does spec. Like one l90 with nfc and 1.3 mp frontcam. The only thing which separate l90 from g2 mini is bsi rear camera but i've seen pictures from both in comparison and bsi sensor on g2 mini is not so much better then front cmos on l90

  • Damn, I never knew there was another D405 variant with the letter 'N' at the end. So, D405N exists as well. I don't know about Sweden but, here in India we just have the D405 and D410. The USA variant is an even more confusing affair. They have the D415 and maybe, another spin-off. I'll buy this ASAP and put on that CPU-Z app to confirm if mine has the NFC. Till then, its that GSMArena comparison which has mysteriously disappeared. P.S: I don't know how my post got deleted

  • As i see the variants of l90 with letter N like d405(N) at the end does have nfc but this phone is so pure reviewed that you cant get a grip what is what. Now i wonder why make separation between d405 and d405N. Is it just nfc or is there more to it.

  • Hey anybody know the best back cover available online ? Flipkart doesn't have good covers. I was looking to buy those hard cases, not the flip covers. I think it would cost around Rs.300-500. So anyone bought these ? If yes, from which site ?

  • That will not work as the support is only upto 32GB

  • Are you pointing the phone directly at the TV or just using it as if you were surfing the web?....I know it's a stupid question but you never know.

  • I have the T-mobile L90. I hope it gets 4.4.4 update. And pls fix the network connection my signal bars go up and down. And fix the remote it dont wok

  • its a good phone light weight, good battery backup, viewing angles also good.nice user interface, very good keyboard . sound output with earphones are not much as expected. no light notification for message and calls. and also no back-light for the keys

  • Yes it does a nfc..i buy this phone in spain 1 week and 5 days ago..im sure about it..

  • Yes it does,.you stop talking about shit..because it does a nfc..

  • can I use 64GB micro sd on this phone?

  • I an able to accesses wi fi direct. after connection with wifi direct with another wifi direct mobile, it doesnt show wi fi direct in sharing. please resolve the problem

  • No it doesn't have NFC stop talk rubbish. I purchased this phone d405 in Sweden and IT DONT HAVE NFC. D405!. F90 which is also called lg volt for american market does have NFC but F90 have only 512 mb RAM. Show me website or review there this phone D405 have nfc. Once again. D405!!!!!!!

  • Whether we can store the photos, videos, other files and applications in the SD memory card in this device? Pl. share your experiences?

  • Yes it does a nfc..i have this phone for 1 week..and ut us awesome the battery is last for 1day and half..

  • What do you! talk about. I have also l90 d405 which does not have nfc. It's 8mp camera variant which have v10b-EUR-XX firmware and its international version of device. Which country did you buy your phone

  • what are u talkin about. This model has a NFC. How do I know? I got this one.

  • actually this model doesnt have nfc which is d405 but american modeby the way l does have as d415 or t mobile. d405 is international model and it doesnt have nfc what's so ever. By the way there is an music update via applicationupdate to download.

  • this is equal to g2 mini but with much better battery??????

  • this is equal to g2 mini but with much better battery???????????

  • Thanks very much. Am better informed now. I wl définately 4 the D405N VERSION.

  • LG L90 D405N (!) is surely yes!

  • Greetings everyone. Pls i want someone who is already using this phone to help me confirm if it NFC enabled. Tnx & await ur reply. Cheers

  • Can lg provide L update to this phone in future??

  • No it does not have any notification led.

  • How come the notification light won't work does this phone have that

  • When will it be released in the uk? When?

  • Here is a tip! press and hold volume up or down when screen is locked and it will start camera app same as in g2 mini. remember to activate as always depending if you have more then one camera app!

  • Okay, so the D405 and the D410 are listed here in gsmarena. Where's the D415???

  • no it will not support otg cable

  • so sad there's no single sim version for indonesia

  • The camera is more then enough. This phones camera is capeble of video capture in max 60fps and at max 20mbit recording via third camera app. The reason this camera doesnt have spheremode is only because of lack of gyroscope sensor which is needed for sphere mode and that is the only reason. Stereo recording thru secondary mic is also possible. So this is not bad camera at all for that price. And for so called lack of hdr mode well that is also possible via third camera app.

  • Awesome phone now I love LG yeah they saying true life is good

  • I am also L90 user there is no problems in my ears don't make bad reviews it is awesome phone

  • L90 single sim have led indication

  • Then which is best

  • camera is very poor compare to other 8 mp camera

  • Does it supports otg cable

  • lg g-pro lite or lg l90?? which is a better phone? pls suggest

  • Best phone i've had. I did analyze myself and come to conclusion that we use new stuff about month or two before it becomes usual, human nature.. This phone is more as a allround phone at good price. But best feature of this device is batterylife. It doenst use that much power in idle and it can last for a very long time. I use this device mostly in chat and social apps. Camera is good for capturing some moments when you need that so camera is more like if it come in hands when you need it. There is no errors if it's correct unit. This days this device is more then enough for people who want to get phone in budget because every phone now in market is not futureproof because of 64 bit system. So if you want to buy phone with kitkat out of the box i recommend this device. For those who want to buy top of the line phone wait for Android L devices with 64 bit SoC processor

  • wish find single sim version in indinesia

  • don't buy this set because it is painful from ears. I have been used in a week and started pain in ears. never buy LG Mobile

  • which model is good one either LG D410 OR D405.Both has diff battery type.Pls let me know which model has good efficient

  • I got stupid one, vibrator works as it wants, sometimes doesnt works. And update to 4.4.3 and full reset doesnt helps.

  • It doesn't. I'm trying to find a workaround (use the camera LED), but not sure it will work.

  • Dears, any body can tell the LG L90 have charge led indicator

  • LG L90 or Motorola Moto G? Same price. Any thoughts? I almost desised LG, because of camera, design and sd card slot.

  • Im using it . . Its ausum. . Battery is great !! I like it.. !! May features the optimus UI has !! Happiee

  • i boght this phone last week its awesome !!!!!

  • Test Remote on different tv if not do a factory reset and test again if not leave your phone at lg service!

  • I've done all updates from the update center but the remote control isn't working :(

  • D405- single SIM model and D410 dual SIM version that's the difference

  • D405- single SIM model and D410 dual SIM version that's the difference.

  • i got this mobile yesterday and this can play high end games like asphalt 8 modern combat 4 .... etc

  • You must try it out until it works. it works on very old tv's to. you have list over availeble manufacturers and it's not that many but if you update your phone to latest firmware via OTA (over the air) in settings or in app called updatecenter i see that even remote app have been updated with wider list. thats it.

  • Can someone tell me what is the difference between LG L90 405N and LG L90 410 model? I want to buy the phone but is confused about which model to buy

  • Hi Punisher!! So what is the solution for the remoto control to work??

  • Could someone send me some pictures, taken by this phone? Or a link? Or your instagram page? lol Anyting, so I'd see the quality. I've searched a lot, but I couldn't find anything on the web.

  • This is not true.

  • Moto G is lot better than this phone.

  • Hi RaduTDR. When you code your remote app if first button doesnt work skip to next and second will work. If second doesnt work skip to third. But there is a method when second or third doesnt work it will get you back to first. The solution is that you try as long as you can code power button and volume button then the third doesnt even matter.

  • why mine remote control for tv isn't working

  • Hello guys. I have the lg L90 for some weeks, the phone is fast good materials qualities(at this price) good screen quality, able to play the latest games from goolge play. The only inconvinience and problem i have with this phone is that the remote control isn't working I tested on many TV as sausumg philips sharp... What could be the problem? is something that i have to activate in order to work??? plz help,,

  • I am confused take a purchase LG L90 mobile or Sony experia c plz suggestion me which is better

  • Superb Phone!!!!! Awesome

  • Yes

  • Hello, tell me which one is better.. Sony Xperia C or Lg L90?

  • That was fast! Update is available for international version 145,89 mb the version is v10b-eur-xx. Most likely stability update.

  • Thank you.

  • Moto g screen is better (resolution) but that it's all it's better at!

  • Can I play heavy games like asphalt 8,gta sa,nova 3 or injustice,real racing

  • Is the Display of L90 okay? i mean btr than moto G

  • L90 (8mp) definitely. Mostly because of battery. See that as main reason

  • Moto G or L90(8 MP) ? which one shld i go fo? irrespective of the price ? plz

  • This is an amazing phone..the best part i feel is there is heating from back..light weight.good display..no hang..best phone in 16k..

  • This phone needs an update. Digitizer is off and somehow it's connected to some of sensors. In plane horizontal position digitizer doesnt work properly but when you pick the phone in one hand it works as normal

  • i want to purchase this mobile but i advice you to this phone is good or not

  • Now here is the thing. Maybe its SD 400 a7 because i didnt have chance to test SD800 but i've noticed something. Or maybe it doesnt have to do with SoC but from unboxing this unit i did charge it without break and discharged it in a cycle *3. I never did this before but i did. Then i did charge it on the fly without discharging it at full like *4 and then i repeat the full charge discharge. The difference is huge. When it's in non optimal cycle the discharge is unstable (faster) and when it's in optimal cycle the discharge is very stable. Last 5 hours the battery usage is 0 procent. And estimated discharge is much higher then in non optimal cycle in comparison

  • I'm not paying a dime anymore for a phone. Max 200 euros and i payed this phone 188 euros and its enough. Maybe if i waited for g2 mini which is now 200 euros but then again less screen space because of buttons and volume key placement. Hope SD 610 will be in budget range. This is awesome. Hell G3 looks nice but 650 euros wth. I smell a new trend coming. 200-250 euros phones. Let's play :D

  • LG L90 just became available at T-Mobile for $224.

  • you have 8Gb but 4Gb is used by android system is the same in all smartphones I have a 405N model specifications: Memory 8Gb(3.9Gb user) 1Gb RAM SD card 32 Gb (you can move app to SDcard :D ) CPU: Quad-Core Cortex A7 1.2Ghz Grafic: Adreno 305 LCD: 540X960 240dpi gorilla glass 2 Camera: Fronte 0.3Mp, Rear 8.0Mp Video REC Full HD Android version: 4.4.2 kitkat Sensors(by Antutu): IR remote :D Direction Sensor G-Sensor Acceleration Sensor E-Compass Proximity Sensor Linear Acceleration Sensor Rotation Vector Sensor Antutu X Benchmark: Best score 17057 UX: Multitask 2956 Runtime 1084 CPU: Cpu integer 1809 Cpu float-point 1442 Ram: Ram operation 1101 Ram Speed 1023 GPU: 2D graphics (540x960) 1030 3D graphics (540x960) 5291 IO: Storage 701 Database 620 I have this phone to two weeks is very fast in the web browser in game and comes with some very good applications from LG At home no longer use the remote control for the TV or the DVD, just use the LG L90 :D Again LG learned to listen the consumers Thanks again LG

  • i am not able to make video calls through this phone and i don't see any video calling option and i require the solution for this problem

  • The android OS ALWAYS reserves some space for itself so you'll NEVER get the full space quoted by the manufacturer (I know that is not fair but then so do memory manufacturers like hard drives, pen drives...they never give you the quoted space) Here, have a look This may not directly answer the question, but its close. The discussion is about Galaxy S4 but applies equally well to all devices and obviously, our L90

  • My lg l90 d405 has 4gb internal memory too,why?

  • Not gyroscope??

  • my lg l90 has 4gb internal memory as against the 8gb and another problem is that the quickwindow is not stable. am not happy with these deficiencies. any solution will be appreciated [email protected]

  • You have option in developer mode to choose art or dalvik. It take about 4-5 min to convert all apps you need just to choose which you like. Art is better!

  • Sad that GSMArena decided not to review this device but then again there are still some reliable, accurate and neutral sites like GSMArena, take this for example Note: Don't look much into the camera because no one in this price range will give you a good camera EVER and the only reputed manufacturer which will sell you a device with a better camera module at the time of writing is Samsung. (Galaxy Grand 2) Some local players might offer a better camera but then its better to save and buy a dedicated camera instead of relying on phones. Those local manufacturers aren't providing a good software on their phones anyways so its not worth just for the camera.

  • This is the first time I've come across such a complaint

  • my new lg l90 phone auto-rotate function is not working properly and vendor says its problem in all lg l90 mobiles

  • I have this phone and it is AWESOME. The battery lasts for about 3 full days with easy using of wi-fi and 3G, and two full days with extended using of network facebook viber, etc.I am very satisfied with it, it is easy to use with one hand, it is super fast, it is very cool designed, not complicated to use. And its price is very affordable.

  • Here, in plain words But if you need more information then, visit read this

  • What do u mean by ART conversion?

  • willing to buy this mobile can anyone give review about this mobile?

  • want to know about service centre in tamil nadu?

  • m willing to buy tis phone can anyone give review about this and the detail of the service centre in tamil nadu?

  • Y U No Review this ?

  • +1 yeah seriously cheap and decent mid-ranged phone!..

  • GSMArena seriously, Y U No Review this ?

  • I have L7 II with LED button and it's very useful, and doesn't waste battery. I've used phone with and without LED buttons and it was almost the same. without LED lights you would turn on the screen all the time to check and it wastes more battery. and I have my phone with vibrate and sound turned off because I send and receive messages every hours.

  • is it support OTG?

  • Wow super buget phone

  • i just bought this phone... Its quite lovely and the battery life is a wow... Heavy use lasts over a day... this phone is the best of andriods at this range...

  • I think the cut off is more for the battery life then cheaper price. Same goes for soft touch buttons or backlight keys. Now i dont know if ambient light sensor drains and how much it drains in energy but i did resolve this issue with camera sensor instead. I payed 188 euros and for me its a bargain. I get 2 full days from this phone. Standby time is insane. 1 procent in 3 hours. I didnt even test this. But this is some energy efficent phone. New Motorola g lte maybe is better device but with no removable battery and lower capacity i dont know. Motorola g have better front camera and better display but for me this lg is better choice. I did compare moto g lte and lg l90 before i went in the store but 2540 mah battery in this phone have different appeal

  • how do you make a smartphone without an ambient light sensor? Are the folk at LG on crack or what? Its not a convenience, or even a feature. Its a necessity! How does one use a phone without it? Keep adjusting display brightness manually? Plain dumb. Even the cheapest chinese phones have auto display brightness regulation.

  • I just want to say that ...awesome phone... go get it now

  • Nice phone at low price with good configuration

  • Thanks for the advice.

  • Auto brightness adjusment is availeble if you download app called lux brightness control in playstore. It cost like 2 euro and it works thru camera. Camera becomes light sensor and then it adjust screen light according to light in camera sensor. So ambient light problem is resolved. For backlight keys you have option for tactile feedback so thru home button you can orientet where is left where is right and you get vibrate touch as response so called tactile feedback, now bad news for rhis device, i found a bug and its lg fameous wifi sleep stuck error. This is lg most fameous problem in all of its devices. Now you have so many option in wifi settings so i hope its only glitch in batterygurus self learning behaviour.

  • Is auto brightness adjustment available? I tested this device in a shop and I did not find this option in the settings menu. All I found is the manual adjustment. Thanks in advance.

  • Here are the apps which i have deactivated because it's useless for me. memo widget cbs message (place message aka maps message service) cloud print google drive gmail google play newsstand google play movies google play music google play games google play books google plus hangouts remotecall service talkback youtube (i have supertube installed instead wich is better for me!)

  • wow. 32 hours and 36 procent left with 103 hours estimated. qualcomm batteryguru installed. and something new that i've not seen before task manager option to shut down services from refreshing in every app plus periodicly ram booster build in original task manager. Didnt find that on jelly bean (samsung) for so called lack of ambient light sensor there is another solution by installing lux automatic brightness wich function thru camera and it's low power app. By the way that app reduces brightness even more than standard nits. Overall this phone is only in it's class with that removeble battery capacity, i've checked entire gsm list of devices

  • Lenove have a snapdragon configuration? No? so shut up ;)

  • Lenovo P780 is better then this phone...my hubby is Lenovo from last 3 months and his battery life is great...I have recently purchase but not satisfied if I compare with Lenovo

  • review???

  • Just picked this great for value phone. I am impressed for that price. It seems that this phone is thinner then it is and light to. Display colors seems to be washed out but it's more natural then full capacity ips panel which seems to be oversaturated. I have deactivated most of apps that i dont use so there is planty of them which can be deactivated. Art is present so hopefully it will run even smoother but so far there is no lag. And by the way it's first time i see so many themes for LG ui 3.0. There is no led notification and no ambient light sensor but there is some gimmick like auto brightness depending on temperature of battery or cpu which is great. Overall this is best mid range phone for this value. Not even interested in high end phone any more. By the way there is more ram availeble after ART conversion

  • well from what i can see,the screen is made of gorilla glass 2 similar to the samsung S3 ; also most retailers have gorilla glass written in the phone's spec sheet but hey,i just own the phone i didn't build it so i could be wrong

  • It doesn't have gorilla glass..... I've confermed frm lg care..

  • i want 2 buy this fone

  • Best smartphone mid-range on the market! I have a 405N model specifications: Memory 8Gb(3.9Gb user) 1Gb RAM SD card 32 Gb (you can move app to SDcard :D ) CPU: Quad-Core Cortex A7 1.2Ghz Grafic: Adreno 305 LCD: 540X960 240dpi gorilla glass 2 Camera: Fronte 0.3Mp, Rear 8.0Mp Video REC Full HD Android version: 4.4.2 kitkat Sensors(by Antutu): IR remote :D Direction Sensor G-Sensor Acceleration Sensor E-Compass Proximity Sensor Linear Acceleration Sensor Rotation Vector Sensor Antutu X Benchmark: Best score 17057 UX: Multitask 2956 Runtime 1084 CPU: Cpu integer 1809 Cpu float-point 1442 Ram: Ram operation 1101 Ram Speed 1023 GPU: 2D graphics (540x960) 1030 3D graphics (540x960) 5291 IO: Storage 701 Database 620 I have this phone to two weeks is very fast in the web browser in game and comes with some very good applications from LG At home no longer use the remote control for the TV or the DVD, just use the LG L90 :D Again LG learned to listen the consumers Thanks again LG

  • Indeed the choice in sparse, yet I was able to find one that I hope will fit the device properly. At least it seems that every port and hole has its own opening. The case should be arriving in a few business days. When it does, I could share my thoughts on it.

  • I would like to review my first comment, as I did find a solution, and am since very happy with this cellular. All I had to do is re-calibrate the sensor, and my problem was solved ! Just a last comment...Not always accurate in finding the location you are in, not always. All is Good !

  • Calibrate your device ,problem will be solved,,,

  • I bought this phone last week and I've liked it very much. The problem I've been facing is the lack of phone cases designed especially for L90. Either the lense hole is in the wrong place or something else is amiss. Have you been able to find good cases for this thing? If you have, please post a link. Thanks!

  • I don't think they might even review it when Grand 2 is already reviewed by now I guess, even Xperia M2 isn't reviewed yet

  • True, that

  • yes we can move apps to sd card

  • can this phone move apps to sd card?

  • Thanks. Really appreciate that :)

  • user available is 3.87gb, which is enough for lots of app and few high end games like asphalt 8, dead trigger

  • approx. 3.7gb

  • I know this phone have 8 GB internal storage, but how many does it have when the Android system and pre-installed apps are on it?

  • It's great phone, battery consumption is upto the mark, so far the smart phone is concerned and moreover if you have thoroughly followed 'the user guide' which is available on the LG site then I think it will be helpful to get full facility of the device. At last I've been using this since 1 week, my experience is overall 95/100.

  • horrible battery life freezes a lot cheap budget phone

  • plz help.. facing some problem with the phone. My mobile data is off and moreover I am connected to wifi but still the phone uses mobile data. I keep on getting network msg stating that I have used most 1kb data but when I go to setting I see that my mobile data is off all these while and moreover I am connected to wifi. Tried with other network aswell.. same issue......

  • Because they are very very useful, that's why. Imagine this, You wake up in the middle of the night or your phone in across the room, and you want to check to see if you have any missed calls, message or emails. A quick glance at the locked phone, and without touching it, the LED can flash a particular colour, for example, Green for missed calls, red for Messages and blue for emails. My L7II (P710) can do that now.

  • i am using LG and i don't need lights on button. Imagine this, your phone only have several button and it's touchscreen handphone, why would you need lights on button lol this way you can save your battery life.

  • It would depend on the type, make and model of headphones being used.

  • waiting 4 review, gsmarena :p

  • How do I make it vibrate when I get texts? Can I make it do this or will it only do so in vibrate mode? Thanks

  • I've had mine 3 days. Was very happy, until I found that the rotating function is not working correctly. When I rotate it to landscape, it doesn't come back on portrait when the telephone is tilted, remains in landscape ! Went back to the shop where i bought it (they called LG), and then they told me that I had to do a manipulation to reset it, not the built-in reset, but maintain the sound button together with the power button, then release when the LG logo comes, then again press the power button twice. I haven't done it because I haven't done any back-up, and am also pretty unhappy that it is the customer who has to find the solution. I don't know, pretty disappointed !

  • some you can, and some you can't

  • Does this phone have led home button like in the l7 ii?

  • I have a LG L90 three weeks, it's a good phone + battery life, comfortable grip, hardware home button, but what is not so good is the overall quality of the display (almost no oleophobic coating, very smudges, blurry text, not perfect readability in sunlight ), also autofocus footaparátu not very good especially for the video shoot). What I received is that GTA San Andreas works incomprehensibly very badly, it can not be played even with the lowest details.

  • It's running Android 4.4 so it should have.

  • Does this phone have emojis with the keyboard?

  • how u say it is good.Kindly explain what are the features are well

  • excellent phone lg L90 with all the latest features.

  • LG L90 vs Moto G 1. 8 mp camera - 5 mp camera 2. 2,540 mAh battery (Removable Battery) - 2000 mAh battery. 3. Micro SD card slot - No option for card slot. 4. Camera video recording 1080p - 720p. 5. LG L90 weight 126 gram - Moto G weight143 gram. 6. Moto G have Only ppi and quad core advantage............More ppi and Quad core means less battery only for one day or may be less...........LG 234 ppi enough screen clarity and very good battery life.

  • L90 is exelent smartphone in cheapest range.. 8mp autofocus "C mos" lence camera.. Android kitkat, knok kode loking system... etc congrats LG LG providing very good service..

  • Moto g is the best smartphone ,much better than LG. For most phones hardware counts ,maybe software will be the same. But Moto G has an awesome hardware. I am getting mine today. Felling Exited....

  • Because no light for buttons and no additional led light. But better than moto G.

  • How do you know ?, do you have a source to confirm this ?.

  • what's the point lg is trying to make? l90 is far worse tha l9 ii, l70 is no better than l7 ii... is it only me who doesn't get it?

  • no

  • When is it going to be available here in the Philippines???? Been waiting in vain! haha

  • LG L5 ii and LG L90 display not much difference. The differences between them r Screen size, battery, Gorilla Glass, IR blaster (Remote) with the help of this u can control ur TV/DVD, Internal memory, Knock out code (For unlocking & locking, videos will get pause if it detects no user waching etc etc.

  • Better ?, in what way ?.

  • Any hint as to when this (the L90 D405) will be available in the UK ?. I have searched the net intensely and have not found any information to answer this question. Most of Europe has it already (Germany, Italy, Poland etc, but nothing for the UK, either about a release date or the fact that it will ever/never be released for the UK.

  • How's the display??Is the display better than LG optimus II L5 display ??

  • And you don't get hot when you work hard ?.

  • By use, it is same as Nexus.Awesome touch and feel.Enjoy best android at this price. Thanks to LG For launching this device at this price.

  • Is there a notification LED?

  • Bgt dis phone last wk whenever I play games during calls getting over heated

  • guys isn't it have LED notification on home button like LG Optimus L7 II ?

  • yes we can transfer apps to msd

  • Just for the name..Note 3 is High range phone..But in reality its the worst phone. U need to know that for sure...

  • This (L90 D405) is a single sim phone.

  • Does it have USB OTG Support... ?

  • Can we transfer the apps to the memory card?

  • is there a support 3g video calling in LG L90 model?

  • Not crazy bro. When ever any big smart phone launch by Big brand some fans blindly buy that Smart phones with huge screen after some time they will realize that 4'3 inch or minimum 4.8 inch screen enough for them then they sell. In my opinion 4 inch screen enough but today generation buying Smart Phones blindly............Before u buy any smart phone u have to see ram, processor, battery, memory, external memory, build quaility, brand etc etc......If any company giving 2 gb ram phone and quad-core processor with less battery back then nevery buy that phone.........U will face many problems like Micromax...........As far LG L90 everything is fine

  • Selling your high range Note 3 for a mid range L90...crazy.

  • yes..Just go for it without any hesitation.. The features and comfort with this phone is marvellous.. In addition to quality the service cost of LG is dead cheap compared to any other mobile brand..

  • It is dual active It has a smart sim feature So both sim's work even when you are talking on one of them

  • Yes go for it ull nt regret buying this its a great phone n plus it comes with android 4.4 kitkat and its really smooth n fast Thanks to the 1.2ghz snapdragon processor Its the best phone in this price range And it looks really good too Unlike the moto g it has an expandable memory slot and a 2500 mah removable battery And the 4.7inch qHD screen is also really good and clear But not as good as the moto g which comes with an 4.5 inch HD screen but on the other hand the lg l90's screen is way brighter then the moto g And its really light too Just go for it 😊

  • I want buy this phone plz frnds tell me. does this phone "Ambient light sensor"

  • Nothing like this happening...

  • dual standby as dual active phones are being banned in india just google and see

  • is there any difference in hardware between this l90 and G2 mini apart from the trademark button layout and battery 2440/2540 actually i ordered the L90 and waiting delivery then i saw gsmarena review of the mini and i thought may be both are same almost

  • This is the D405N, the single SIM version of the L90. You need to post your question on the L90 D410 page, which IS the dual SIM version of the L90. Anyway, at the price this will sell for, you can bet it will be dual standby, and not dual active.

  • Does this phone is dual active or 1 sim gets blocked when another is in use? And does calls come when you are browsing on net?

  • No otg

  • Apparently it does, according to this site, and quite a few others.

  • Look at the statusbar

  • What is difference between LG L90 D405 and LG L90 D405N?

  • Does this device support USB OTG ?

  • This is the single sim version, there is another LG L90 which is dual sim version.Do note when buying.

  • Please GSMARENA have a review on this phone! :)

  • It does support NFC. Download the online pdf for such inquiries.

  • Fantastic phone within 20k.... impressive After using almost 45 days I am going to write this review. I am the fan of flipkart site and about their delivery service. But I brought this phone from other site for 15k. Awesome phone. u never find such light weight phone within 20k price tag. Also other good looks are - 1)Build quality fantastic (eye catching) . 2) OS (kitkat 4.4.2) also nice. 3) UI is wonderful. 4) full HD support (now almost all indian company phone provide). 5) Camera 8 MP capture nice quality of photo in day time and in night too. 6) Processor (1.2 Snapdragon, Quad Core) speed awesome. never found lag while using multiple apps and games. 7) Front camera OK (as not used so far). 8) Screen quality is very nice. 9) Sound quality excellent with provided player & equalizer with other than provided earphone. 10) Knock code function good. 11) Good battery life though uses maximum use of internet over wifi, push mail. Generally found other phone battery get dead within 8-10 hrs but I uses it upto 18 hrs. Cons - 1) Earphone provided with phone is worst, LG we don't expected such bad things for making cost cutting, even other brand under 10k provided good quality of earphone, 2) Heating problem of processor. Don't understand why LG can't solved this problem while in other phone this prob rarely found. If u remove apps like true caller, call recorder then heating problem get reduced (as per LG customer care, they said that these apps kept processor continuously running hence processor get heated) Only due to this reason 1 star missed for this phone. 3) No flip cover finding at local market nor online :( . Over all wonderful budget phone if price come down to 14k to 15k. It will definitely bit Samsung market due to features. Just request to LG that to provide/spread accessories in local markets (just like samsung) as due to shortage of accessories retailers keeping customer away from such good phone.

  • Please tell me that it has NFC or not??? I'm confused b'coz in many videos on you tube it don't show NFC... But some user told me that it have.. Plz any User give me a confermed rply...thanx

  • See cnet unboxing

  • Does the LG L90 model support 3G native video calling over service provider network carrier like GSM providers bsnl, vodafone... ?

  • Its 8/5 PM back cam and 1.3 front cam

  • I may just buckle down and buy this at full price without that stupid EIP. That EIP program is a rip-off if you ask me.

  • this phone is already available in Bosnia ,it's very cheap only 170 euro

  • When is this single sim model going to launch in INDIA? LG L90 Dual has already launched..waiting for this single sim variant.

  • Does the LG L90 model support 3G native video calling over service provider network carrier like GSM providers bsnl, vodafone... ?

  • G2 mini has li 0n battery... Does g2 mini launched in india.....?

  • actully u r wrong it depand no the type of battery g2 mine has LiSi(lithium silicone) and L90 Liion LiSi is more powerfull

  • G2 mini is the same phone with the buttons on the back and a bit better build quality. Cost is 50% more for that with the G2 name...not worth it...L90 is value for money, getting mine for $200 as opposed to $300 for G2 mini with same screen and chipset and smaller battery.

  • I would like purchage this phone but i am confuse about front camera how many mp can anyone guide me.

  • G2 mini have OTG, NFC and better resolution than l90. Ya L90 battery little bit higher than G2 mini.

  • Bro both hav same specs.... But lg l90 hav more battery power i.e., 2540 mah

  • Hi guys... Which phone is better l90 dual or g pro lite dual???

  • Really superb so cute. ...

  • Go for it bro. LG L90 best. Watch videos on youtube.

  • The lack of ambient light sensor(for automatic brightness control) is a deal breaker for me :(

  • guys i want to buy a phone in mid range .... is this phone is besttt....

  • You mean to say that Moto G is outdated as well? Cuz it houses the exact same processor and GPU

  • I think that this mobile is a little outdated in hardware compared with for example, the Sony Xperia SP with one year (or more) in the market. It's true that it´s cheaper from the beginning. But we need to advance in tecnology, and with all these new LGs we aren't.

  • The Best Fone In Market So Far Hi Guys, I was a big fan of samsung fones. I used samsung grnd for more than a year. After recent update of 4.2.2, fone started lagging n geting hang every minute. I was literally frustrated, so went for repairing. There were many fones around. I was about to replace ths fone with samsung s4 mini, for a moment My eyes stucked on something very stud n tuff fone. salesman was busy showing demo about this brand new LG L90. Oh God! what a fone man. what a clarity of camera. guys believe me this fone may break all records of any other fone within these range. 1) Camera is crystal clear it can beat samsung's any 8mp fone. 2) Very quick and fast access to any application 3) Knock code is the best just knock on fone and it wil lock n open for you 4) Stud and very impressive hardware 5) UI design is the best with kitkat OS experience 6) Battery is baap of everyone. Truly guys, this is best fone i hav ever seen so far. let me tell you, This is my 14th fone.... And I want to continue with it for very long term. Guys if your buget is below 20k, this fone is exceptional for u.

  • Best phone in this price range good processecer nic ram, screen kitkat google nd lg durability nd very light weight nd good looks go for it if u want a phone under 17 k

  • Stylish, fast, value for money Simply awesome ...good job lg...

  • yes nfc available. .. plz check youtube videos

  • No

  • does it hav NFC ???

  • both are same configuration except screen resolution l9ii have hd screen and l90 hv qhd. if u want kitkat outoff box go for l90

  • LG L9 ii same as previous version L9 only memory increased and screen clarity. Go for LG L90 D405

  • Go for LG L90(D405) Single sim.

  • Buy single sim. Single sim will be better option.

  • I know it. I told you about LG L9 ii (D605) and LG L90(D405) which is better?

  • LG Launch 2 L90 model L90 and L90 dual. Single sim and dual sim. Both phones same.

  • Which phone is better lg l9 II or this lg l90 ? And what do you think about this camera? Good , bad or middle?

  • Does it play FHD videos?

  • LG beat Moto G :- LG L90 camera 8 mp, (bigger battery 2540 mAh) removable and sd card slot.

  • Hi frnds plz tell me about gaming in lg l90. Plz and audio review also plz plz . I ts my request plz frnds

  • No, L90 doesn't beats the Moto G hands down The Moto G ONLY lacks in terms of memory expansion and slightly lower battery life(which is awesome anyway) Let me enlist some advantages of Moto G -Water resistant coating(YouTube it) -Higher internal memory(11GB vs 5GB) -Excellent software optimization(one does not simply gets an AnTuTu score higher than a Nexus) -Better support over at XDA(Motorola has released the source code for further development) -Lastly, an HD screen that beats the crap out of any mid-range available at the time of writing Oh, and did I forget to mention that it comes at a cheaper price tag ? The only department where LG beats is the memory expansion and somewhat in the cam department too(although not by too much) Still, there is this LG UI which might be another reason to buy an L90. I simply love LG skins. My only gripe is the price. But then again, anything higher than the Moto G is bound to attract criticism I hope this clears it up for even those looking to find core differences between the similarly specced but dis-similarly priced handsets

  • Wow! This is something in mid-range

  • Folks ..what you will do with HD display or you need large battery ....which can be removed....

  • Single Sim and dual sim.

  • single sim and 2 sim

  • what's difference between lg l90 and lg l90 dual?

  • go for s4 mini or grand 2

  • LG L90 has included an IR (infra-red) blaster on the handset. This means you'll be able to control home entertainment products such as TVs, DVD players and set top boxes with the LG L 90.This functionality is usually reserved for higher tier smartphones.

  • Hello. Can anyone tell me that this is having led notification ? Also the IR blaster is having learning mode ? Means can we configure remote manually ?

  • Hey guys, I want to ask, if someone have this phone, could you check how many points this phone scores in AnTuTu test benchmark? Does this phone is better then LG L9 II ? Thank you.

  • Ya i agree LG L90 not HD display but this price better than Grand anytime. What i like most in L90 is battery, Gorilla glass protection, true Ips display and all new feature double tap.

  • May be not HD display but better than any other mobile in india @17k price. Better battery life, corning gorilla glass 2, 4.7 in screen IPS display, good features seems like pure S3.

  • Guys just bought this phone yesterday. Very nice phone 4.7 inch screen is really good and looks big too. You can handle the phone with one hand. Battery is also quite decent can last for 10 - 12 hours with continuous net use. Camera quality in day light takes the sharp images but was stunned to see quality in night when clicked some pics in night image are very bad and looks pixeled and blurry. I would say very bad when used in night . Otherwise phones is very smooth.

  • Watch LG L90 review on Youtube.

  • Its really good to use.try it out friends it has good features.light weight mobile.but d only drawback feature s 1gb ram but too mobile superb

  • it seems a good phone..... does it support full hd? wifi direct? nfc? battery life?

  • it seems a good phone..... does it support full hd? wifi direct? nfc? battery life?

  • Guyz It has INFRARED blaster??? please let me know

  • Im planning to buy this phone LG L90 ive read a lot of blogs and sense it that this phone is better and has a lot of good feedback blogs.

  • Can anyone tell me the price & release date in Europe ?!

  • LG has done a superb job in L90 by keeping the width at just 66mm for a 4.7inch phone, this makes it possible to use a 4.7 inch phone with one hand even for people having smaller hand.if it had 720p screen it would have killed moto G hands down....but still qhd resolution is not bad.

  • available on ebay for 15300

  • does it hav wifi direct?

  • u buy moto g

  • u buy moto g

  • Can we have a detailed review on the handset, with all parameters tested? Is qHD makes any difference compared to 720p? I feel the prie should have been at 15000 instead of 17000

  • Try in flipkart bro... It is already cheap..

  • This is Single Sim phone phone..........Right now in india dual sim model available which price 17k many online stores offering..........LG announce L 90 dual sim model @19k in india.........Choice is ur u can wait or buy online.

  • Hi guyz, I like this mobile and have tried hands on Local stores.. Only problem is its price and newly launched... should i buy it or w8 for 1-2 months so that price comes down......Ur Opinion

  • How iz gamming exprince???

  • Hi I got this phone realy super but cases are still not available in market

  • Check youtube.

  • guys please dont get fool from samsung colors . they are using cheap quality cell phones and seeling them at higher prices often out of order within its warrenty. not only me but my friends are also tired up by samsung so go for sony or LG

  • Can I see a real english review or unboxing atm? Is it out in EU yet? can't find it anywhere.

  • Nice phone like S3.

  • yes, there are two versions with Single & Dual SIM

  • does this phone supports dual sim?

  • can i download apps and game direct to sd card??

  • Very true, thankyou.

  • Watch LG L90 unboxing on youtube. U will forget grand 2.

  • Day by day LG smart phone Quality increasing. LG L90 1 gb ram enough like S3. Samsung Galaxy grand 2 doesn't have amoled or IPS display only tft and no no gorilla glass protection and battery backup not as good like LG L90.

  • LG L90 also have better battery backup than ur Grand 2.

  • But Galaxy grand 2 doesn't have IPS Display or Amoled display and no Gorilla glass 2. Galaxy grand 2 only tft display.

  • if your budget is 21k then go for grand 2 bcoz we get the high defination display and more ram 1.5gb ram and supereb display bcoz of 280ppi nstead of 230ppi and and get the very very interesting features and more featurized touchwize

  • If ur budget 17-18k then go for LG L90 because Moto G have unremovable battery, no micro sd card slot, lack of service centers.

  • Hey, does anyone know if the phone has led notification and if I go on youtube, can I watch videos in HD?

  • all feature smoothly work or not?

  • which phone is faster browsing speed lg l90 or moto g in celluler network??????

  • any lag on l90? i am planing to buy this phone

  • can u tell more about d fone. anything will help. thanks

  • hi friends can dis device accept direct save to SDcard or not, I heard kitkat don't allow move some certain apps or data to SDcard. I need to know b/4 buying. I don't want to regret. thanks.

  • specs r gud, waitng for it to come in market..bettr optn thn grand neo,nd grand 2

  • LG L90: - Camera 8mp - micro sd slot - big battery capacity - removable battery - as someone says HD and qHD doesn't have BIG difference for naked eye while normally use, and for those who doesn't care about resolution of screen, LG L90 will use less GPU power, so battery and performance will be increased. - Some useful LG's interfaces and features that stock android doesn't have.

  • i think it's better than samsung galaxy grand. I'm planning to purchase it.

  • im using this fone fast one week working good awesome

  • i want to buy it.

  • This phone is launching in India officially in one or two days, if it will be launched in the price range of 14-15k then its no doubt better than moto g as this phone has 8 mp camera with option of expandable memory too. Otherwise moto G will still remian the best.

  • india local market available or not?????

  • i am confuse between l90 and moto g.which phone is better perform? plz help me guys.

  • this smartphone really promise valuable specs for price sensitive budget smartphone users.worth for your pocket!this is more appealing than its local brand counterparts.

  • If you want to compare this with S3. Compare the price too. Galaxy S3 - Rs 24000 LG L90 - Rs 17500 (Pre order in snapdeal)

  • With a Quad core Processor a RAM of at least 1.5 GB RAM and an Internal memory of 16GB , this phone could have been the best in the 4.7" category.

  • not HD screen. its qHD

  • Difference btw this n g2 mini ?

  • I wonder if this device will come to Singapore?

  • Last year's LG optimus L9 II is much better, HD display, dual core Krait not cortex A7... Come on LG wtf!!

  • If this phone had HD display....I would have bought it.

  • s3 has poor battery poor speaker and bad design

  • S3 of course. The S3 will have a CPU that is around the same as the L90 as well as a far better screen. The S3's screen resolution is 1280x720 and the L90 has 960x540 for the same size screen.

  • Price update for Europe. In the store where I work this phone showed up in the system for 199 yesterday, including taxes. This is in the Netherlands.

  • This or s3?

  • Waiting for the phone to be released in India. Except lack of 4G support this phone looks great in every other aspect..

  • Thanks for the good work.

  • I think Moto G is better.

  • plz lg launch this phone in india. I am waiting........

  • i love this its better than sony m2

  • l90 long lasting battery and better display pocketable beautiful phone

  • L90 or grand 2?

  • I find it hard to believe 200 eur max in europe

  • I find it hard to believe 200 eur max in europe

  • For a lower end of the market, this is a good introduction into the smartphone market or at least to satisfy your basic needs - perhaps as a secondary Pay As You Go handset. Either way, it's not like a really bad option.

  • Dude get your stats correct before posting wrong info. Galaxy Grand 2 has just TFT display and no Gorilla glass either.

  • Micromax is good for you

  • Lg fanboy Grand 2 doesn't use amoled display

  • No, it doesn't have amoled.

  • These are the prices for the LG L90: LG L90 price in India is Rs. 18,999/- only. LG L90 price in Malaysia is 1116 Ringgits only. LG L90 price in Europe is 247/- only. LG L90 price in UK is £202/- only. LG L90 price in USA is $339/- only.

  • samsung grand 2 uses amoled display its bad

  • hi to whom it may concern this model as well as the l70 should have 850, 3g for those people outside of the us. such as far as bermuda, we like lg too, please seriously look into this matter!

  • Go for Samsung Grand 2

  • I need a android phone, dual sim, 8MP camera with full hd recording,1.3 to 2MP front camera, quad core 1.5 CPU,NFC support,540p or 720p resolution,Gorilla corning glass,1 to 1.5GB ram, 8 or 16GB internal memory and my budget is 20k any one suggest me a good mobile phone

  • It has 5mp fixed focus front camera. It is true bro

  • I want to know whether the single sim version will be available to buy in India or not?? I dont like the front capacitive buttons of Lg L90 dual...

  • will the LG L90, L70 come to amazon US so that we can buy from there

  • i agree i had sony z1 i sold because the battery is very poor and the speaker is low.

  • that is for LG Optimus L9 II i agree with manila bhoi it says on the specification here that its VGA but on the MWC review they said its 5MP front camera.

  • Sony mobile has poor camera if you compare to competitors

  • LG is always winner as best design for its smartphones and other products

  • main problem with sony mobile are WEAK BATTERY LIFE(shorter life) BAD DISPLAY (washed out) NOT ERGONOMIC DESIGN (Bulky for its Size, uncomfortable in palm hand. slippery and that button on rightside is only good for right handed person. not for left handed) NOT CUSTOMIZE UI. OVER PRICE !
