ZTE Zmax Pro - User Reviews

 • I definitely agree with your comment about the zMAX pro phone I bought my phone refurbished at a mom-and-pop Kwik-E-Mart who is a T-Mobile provider and I agree with you. A lot of the phone malfunction has something to do with your service it's been about 1 year and 3 months and I love the phone I've been reading a lot of comments on how everyone said that the phone sucks I disagree 100% perhaps its the cheesy service provider that these individuals are going through and the phone has amazing specs 32 gigs internal memory 1080p picture quality 6in amazing size screen is perfect for the price I paid 120 for the phone and then it cane with a screensaver and the guy threw in a phone case.

 • how to install the globe sim? philppines sim card?

 • The worst cell phone ever . Constantly freezing up No memory because of the 68 useless apps that are permanent already on the phone, that you can not get rid of. This phone SUCKS . The pay as you go phones sold at the dollar general are better than the ZTE phone.

 • WD40??? NEVER do that Always take a hair dryer and loosen the adhesive, then use a PLASTIC pry tool to pry the battery up. There's a ribbon cable under the battery that can be easily damaged if you use something metal, like that. Surprised you didn't blow the damned phone up

 • That isn't necessarily true. Maybe you got lucky, but the battery in my ZTE ZMAX PRO WAS GLUED IN!!!!!!!! I had to use WD40 to loosen the glue, and a flathead to pry the friggin thing out of the phone LOL I know not all ZMAX PRO's have their batteries glued in like that, but if yours does, it's a problem. Also, there's a lot of screws to loosen, and it's VERY easy to crack the outer shell while prying off the back cover. Also easy to accidentally disconnect things like the fingerprint scanner, flash, etc. Of course they're easy to reconnect but you might have to take the phone apart to do so which isn't fun. You gotta keep in mind that not everyone is comfortable taking electronics apart. I got a Sony PSP for $10 because my friend was too lazy to replace the screen himself (something I've done at least 6 times). So it's not easy even for someone with some experience, but very doable

 • The same thing was happening to me. The phone would turn off randomly, I can't make a call without it dropping and most times it won't even go through at all, my data won't connect, and the wifi seems to be always weak even with the phone right next to the router. I am not a power user at all, I barely touch my phone during the course of a day and the phone would die anyway. I would have to charge it 2-3 times a day (to full charge) and it would still die with me barely using it. Finally, the phone is also unnecessarily large. The screen alone is bigger than most phones out, and I don't mean small phones. I mean large 6" phones are the same size as the screen. I have round about average sized male hands and this phone can barely fit in my palm. I cannot reasonably use the phone without 2 hands unless I'm doing finger yoga. In conclusion, THE PHONE SUCKS!!!

 • The battery is pretty easy to replace. I wouldnt call it unremovable at all. I've replaced it twice.

 • I have had my ZMAX PRO for 2 years NO PROBLEMS at all. Even bought second hand but again no problems. Battery last all day and compared to some new phones i have seen this is still a better phone as far as screen size, picture, and price. So i think like most phones you buy even today you can get lemons. Another thing i have seen in the market is which company and network you use has alot to do with how well this model of phone works.

 • I bought this phone just over a year ago. Now the battery dies very quickly....I only have to disconnect the phone from the power adaptor, and in a short while the power is gone. Because of the unremovable battery, I wouldn't advise anyone to buy this phone.

 • is good thought but i can't get internet on the sim but on wifi

 • Turn on your data.

 • DO NOT GET THIS PHONE!!!!! Although it was cheap, it is horrible. I can not use the aux cord for phone calls. First major issue for me! I cant use multiple apps without the phone moving SUPER slow or shutting down. The phone turns off at random times. Now the biggest issue is I can not take the phone off the charger without it cutting off! So I repeat DO NOT GET THIS PHONE!!!!

 • is good though but i can't get internet on the sim but only on wifi.

 • This phone came free with my new account. The rounded screen edge makes it hard to fit with a screen protector. The Gorilla Glass is pretty tough though. My main concern with this unit is that the user interface pull-down screen gets actuated every time I make a call. The result is all sorts of features getting activated and sometimes a dropped call. This is extremely annoying, rendering an otherwise good product a real Dud.

 • Its a good phone.... But i dont know why the cellular network is only 2G....

 • I guess I got lucky with my ZTE Zmax Pro Z981. No charger issues. The only dropped calls were with sketchy wifi. No real troubles or glitches to report. I've had this phone for about 3 years now. I just got an iPhone to replace it, but I keep this one activated as a web browser/texting phone because of the HUGE screen. Battery life isn't super awesome, but it's not ohmygawdthisthingneedsrechargedallthetimewhydidIevenbuythisPOS or anything. For the price, I'd probably buy it again if I needed one. My mom loves it so I may give it to her when she's ready to ditch her flip phone.

 • i have never regreted buying a phone until i bought this one, not even the iphone 5 use to give me as many issues as the zte zmax pro, lord alone knows how many chargers I have bought and they always costed me more than $30 to find out each month I would need to buy a charger which on top of everything metro came out with a bootlegged version of the charger charging the same price for guaranteed no longer than 2 week intervols before you had to buy another charger. very extremely disappointed with this brand and im done wasting money on a device that now also takes more than 15 minutes just to turn on after it has died from lack of charge due to the stupid chargers you guys sell.

 • ZTE is the worst product out there. My husband and I, when talking the calls done drop, we just done hear. Sometimes, he can hear me and I cant hear him and then vise versa. The pone turn off and on by its self. When charging it burns up. I'm waiting for a fire. Forget recording, the sound is horrible. I pitty anyone that buys this product. It should be discontinued. Unfortunately, I cant afford to change phones, so i'm stuck this with horrible thing.

 • Worst phone ever, charging port burned up just with charging and Metro PCS, should be called Metro Piece of S**t, worthless company. You pay for insurance that doesn't do anything at all for you. The company and it's employees are clueless.

 • Saw it at a T-Mobile store, today. Nice display, and feel. However, I won't buy, due to company and quality issues. Looks like Alcatel and ZTE are the dawgs of this industry. In other words, run -- don't walk.

 • This is the most problematic device I have ever purchased. Every time I make a call and even get it close to my face to talk the pulldown screen activates and inevitably some service gets activated or setting is or changed. There are some other limitations with applications that don't work and the call settings/program is lacking some basic features like call blocking that don't exist. I give this device a D-. The one thing that I do appreciate is the material that the screen is made of is very durable. Not a sole reason for buying this model.

 • Had this phone since it came out. Whatever other phones youre looking at, go for those instead. This phone is not worth your time. it's worth the extra money to go for anything else more expensive. if you like to open a lot of apps, the 2 gb ram in this phone will frustrate you real quick. Everything will become sluggish and slow. If youre using a browser, anything you were signed into is logged out and tabs have to reload (firefox in my case). Doesnt have quick charging like modern phones do. Battery will last you all day with brightness turned down and not going at it too much. Only uses android 6.0. With Oreo out and android 9/P on the way, theres no reason to get an outdated os. its not waterproof and not drop tested. Phone with much better cameras are out there. Screen is only 1080p. Not really a downside, but again, phones out there with higher resolutions and pixels per inch. The only way this phone could be an upgrade is if youre coming from a flip phone. If the only thing you care is price and not about anything ive mentioned then go for it. With tax, it only cost me $106 bucks. But trust me, its worth saving up for something beefier.

 • Don't waste your time. Everyone is saying how great this phone is. It's slow. Messages sit there "sending". The keyboard is lagging currently. This phone is talked up to be so good. It runs like shit. It will, get hot and shut off. The battery will be at 47% and the phone will just "die". You plug it in, see that it has battery, enough to not be dying. So you ask yourself, why did you die then? It's such a rip off. Especially being 180$. You fucking dimwits, what a cheap ass phone. Do not buy

 • Cannot update because ZTE server down due to politics

 • at about a year a had several crashing and other issues with this phone, i ended up reformat/wipe the phone to original set up, andthen updated everyhting, and all problems have been gone for over 9 months. i had tried all kinds of fixes, and was gonna replace the phone, but full reset to factory fixed everything.

 • Same problems ..In USA

 • System update doesn't work

 • This is a crazy phone

 • my zte z981 has failed to connect cellular data

 • Adjust the Dolby app setting to custom eq level. Sounds great!

 • I cannot connect to app for my Zhiyun Smooth Q gimbal? it says Passcode or PNN is wrong, what is that?

 • Same don't worry I live in the United States

 • No, it does not have and ir or and infrared blaster which allows you to control devices as if it was a remote.

 • Good phone but no root. That means I can't use it for anything I want to use it for. It is the worst phone for any job and I not like it at all. I wish it was a good phone but it isn't. Lol.

 • I want to download a universal remote control app but, I'm being told that I need IR. Does this phone happen to have that?

 • professional opinions are on point.

 • exact same problems

 • In the beginning I really liked this. Phone. My biggest complaint is that the person on the other end can't always hear you. It's very frustrating... Now I'm noticing that battery gets hot quickly and the volume does not work the way it should. Anyone else have these problems? I'm in Canada if that makes a difference. I've been hearing complaints from Nigerian customers.

 • Goty first zte phone and biggest regret ever hone always freezes and kicks me out of everything they need to stop making theses crappy things

 • I bought 3 ZTE Zmax Pro phones and all 3 of them has blacked out, have/had other issues. I have been to the dealers so many times that they told me to pay$50 to get it serviced or buy an upgrade. I will never get another ZTE product again!!

 • ZTE phones suck all the way around.. There is nothing to like about them, not worth the price paid..!

 • Here is the list of all the bands this phone will work with, check with your network provider to see which bands they provide 3g and 4g service on, and see if it is available with your service. 2G bands GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 3G bands HSDPA 850 / 1700(AWS) / 1900 4G bands LTE band 2(1900), 4(1700/2100), 12(700).

 • The antenna of the phone might not work with the networks used in your country. Google the 4g bands used by your provider wherever you are and compare them to the bands shown in the table above.

 • pressing the volume buttons and off at the same time

 • my zte phone work only with 2G. can you help me ?

 • Pls how do I screen grap on this phone?

 • my phone works perfect.gooood phone.

 • They are not exaggerating. I’ve had mine since October of last year and it overheats big time. I just updated 10 apps on it and it got up to 103 degrees. And when I use gps for more than 30 min it gets up to almost 130 degrees! The battery doesn’t drain too too bad on mine but could be a lot better. I’m getting about 3-4 hours SOT. Having a 3400mah battery I should be getting 5-6 hours SOT. I’m buying an S8 plus when I get the money.

 • This is my second Zmax, I dropped the first one and the upper third of the touch screen stopped working. I've had this Zmax Pro for over a year and I haven't had any problem with it. I put a 32GB SD card in it and I used the developer options to carrier unlock it without a hitch after the required amount of time in service with Metro PCS. I also bought a new screen and bezel for my original Zmax for $20 off eBay, replaced it myself and sold the phone for $60. I clear my browser and reboot the phone at least 2-3 times per week, so maybe that helps?

 • Totally agree about the battery getting hot and the phone sticking

 • I wish that I got your phone because mine is trash I thought that it would be a Good phone however gets hot fast then battery works at a new type of speed fast to zero It's just not what I thought

 • ZTE Phones have turned out to be junk made.. Have bought 6 in the last 2 years then just bought a 7th. Thought I was getting a different phone becuz of the name but then got it home and turned it on and BOOM ZTE! They quit charging after about 2 months. Mines already starting to freeze up, ul be going thru a website then all of a sudden it will disappear. Ul be playing a game and poof, it disappears to something else. They get hot really fast, the batteries drain really fast. I watched the other day. It was at 100% 10 minutes later it was at 64%. Just flat out junk phones. They need to do something besides taking people's money and in return we are getting junk. That's not cool. Sounds like Better Business Bureau time. And all the other places that deal with the kind of companies.

 • this is the best android phone I've ever used. Been using it for a year and have never needed to reset it once. it's an overall great phone for the price.

 • Hi there, I'm from Nigeria too. I'm considering buying this phone despite all that has been said but i need to know if you've been able to use any of our mobile networks (MTN, GLO, AIRTEL or ETISALAT) on it successfully as i've read that it's probably locked to only one netwrok carriers which is MetroPcs or so. please get back to me here or via mail for faster respone thatnks. my mail is [email protected].

 • stop exaggerating

 • Please most of these grievances are true. I'm a Nigerian user and it's even worse. My suggestion is that Zte Zmax Pro manufacturers should get an adequate upgrade that will take care of all these issues. Say, signal: LTE problem. I had to tether to a friend's hotspot to even connect. Can't make calls neither can I pick. It's in the best interest of this Brand to do something ASAP before it's name is rubbished from bad reports. Please!

 • I don't recommend this phone. I got this phone 10-16-2017 for $116.00 at metro PC's . It gets too hot right away you can't even hold it on your hands. If you make a call you have to put it on speaker because it over heats. The battery drains too fast. You have to be charging it all the time because the battery drains.

 • This company is nigger rigged. I wont buy another one from ZTE again. Just money hungry and lack of quality. Hope all the bad Karma in the world hits these people and that their business fails miserably ..i. .i..

 • Original purchase paused while streaming from want app, decided to do warranty.... Second phone was even worse from texting random letters, numbers, symbols etc and lag in scrolling while opening whatever app, blog while searching.. Third warranty waived fee, but even worse lag and problems with texting and scrolling and opening apps and articles at random... Now store will not fix problems, say that they can only issue two warranties a year, mind you the three replaced have been in the last three weeks. I called manufacturer and they said the same thing, that they couldn't help me... So I don't recommend purchasing any of their P.O.S products in the future.

 • Download nougat launcher and keep all your photos on an SD card. Mine works fast. I come from an LG g6 and this phone hasn't let me down. There is still time to get a replacement for 20$. You might have a bad model.

 • This is my 3rd phone I'm so over it I can't make certain calls is anyone experiencing that problem. I had white lines that appeared on my screen fading in and out. I just got another phone yesterday 10/3/17 and the s%#t is not making calls again, I don't want another on any suggestions!!!

 • What program are you downloading that's 16gb???

 • that's not the phones fault LOL

 • Not a good phone!! Glitchy, slow and programs freeze alot. And the memory is half gone when you turn it on I can't download 2 apps I had on my Samsung on here.

 • internet doesn't work

 • Mine constantly pauses...every you tube video, FB video...super annoying!! And to top it off...while I'm typing a message..rather it be on FB messenger or just a standard txt...my keyboard disappears...I then have to click back on the message and get it to go back to the last thing I was typing and continue from there...ugh..

 • This is worst cellular phone I have purchased. I bought it for $165.00 at Cricket Store. The battery life is terrible as well as the sound. It takes forever to open a . Do no waste your money on purchasing this phone. Stick with LG OR SAMSUNG PHONES.

 • supper fone just weight a litle too much / other than that supper also have it for a year

 • I had this phone for about a year. For the first few months, it ran very smooth and I had no problems with it. Around February, it started to become buggy and ended up turning off by itself. After this happened, I ran into nothing but problems. Horrible battery life, multi-touch problems, and every almost every app not responding or being way too buggy to use. My previous phone, the LG K7, worked flawlessly. If you're looking for a phone that will last you a year or two, get an LG or Samsung. This phone is my first and last ZTE device.

 • I've been using this phone for about a year now. And it's been a pretty good experience. Got it for $100 at MetroPCS. I haven't had any major issues. Yeah it will start lagging when you open up a lot of apps at once and constant usage but what do you expect with 2GB of ram? For the price it's good, not the best but good. I recommend this phone to anyone who is on a budget and needs a good enough phone. Only thing I'll say is I recommend that you reboot your phone once in while.

 • I've had this phone for several months now and I cn already tell that it is slowing down. When recording any video with loud audio (concerts), the audio is horrendous, it sounds like it was thrown in a washign machien and recorded that audio. Besides these two issues it is a decent phone, albeit a bit large. 3.5/5

 • why it does not say 4g i have it and it is 4g..it is one of the best phone i ever have. no problems . just because metro does not have signal in some states. iowa cedar rapis....... to bat ...does not work for verizon???

 • I have had this zte zmax pro for a year now. It's one of the best phone. Never had any problems. Best budget phone ever. Great Product. Thanks to zte max.

 • I work also for metroPCS Customer Service and I dont recommend this phone because has a lot of problems with the internet connection and also the phone has several issues with the PHONE app that is not letting you use it, also the battery has some problems because take a lot to be charged and the battery drains fast most of the calls that I take regarding issues, customers have this device

 • same here. problem .. of 3g but i have a 4g sim...

 • I don't suggest you to buy it, I work for MetroPCS in USA and the device have several failures with signal and LTE usage.

 • Thinking about getting this phone, is it a safe buy? Please be honest, heard so many things about it. Thanks!

 • I have the ZTE phone and I have none of the problems that the people are having in these reviews. My Girlfriend and I upgraded from Samsung Galaxy S5s. The only complaint that I have is that texting is sometimes slow to open a text or manipulate it. I did see a patch come through that was supposed to address that. I also restored all my previous txts from my S5 to the ZTE so that may have an impact on it. Other than that it works great and with Metro PCS giving you the phone for switching how can you go wrong? Great phone and great price.

 • slowed dumbed down version, sure-- but it's also 1/5th the price. I just paid $100 for a ZTE Zmax Pro and after being a loyal samsung fan for the past 6 or 7 years. Since I got my first smartphone-- a cheapo 3 inch ZTE, my second was a samsung galaxy s# and I never went back---upgraded to a new samsung galaxy on 3 separate occasions and I regret it every time. The small increase in performance is just not worth an extra 3-500 bucks.

 • You must have a bad phone....mine does none of the horrible things you mentioned and this is someone who has had a Samsung, I Phone and HCTC

 • Do not buy this phone. It is a slow dumbed down version of something like the Note 4 and anything as such. I'm not saying that to promote any other phone it's just a fact, from what I have personally seen. Now take this into consideration that I am the first with my friends, family and so on that has purchased this phone. So it might just be my certain device, but I will still give it an honest review. Pros: +Probably the best finger reading tool out there to date. +The screen is huge, which is one of the reasons that I purchased it at the store. +The charging cable does not break as easily as a micro USB. +Battery life is decent, would listen to music at work for almost 8 hours and would have about 25% of battery left once I returned to my home. Indifferent: ~Sometimes the phone will just lose battery at a crazy fast rate for no reason. I tried to close all my apps, turn down the brightness, but it would never solve the problem. I would eventually have to restart my phone which seemed to resolve the issue. Cons: -The phone just shuts off and restarts for no reason. - Restarting the phone can sometimes take from 5-10 minutes, depending on how the phone is feeling that day. -It is SO slow. Sometimes when I open a app it has to sit there for 30 seconds to a minute just opening the app. Not to mention when the phone is having a hard time, anything I was doing slows down to a crawl, and most of the time it just crashes, occasionally though I can resume what I was doing. - Crashes for no particular reason or issue. For example I'll listen to music for about an hour and a half, and the phone just dies and has to restart. Once I reopen the phone, the battery life is still above 50%. - When I download an app, I can not use the app because, once again, my phone crashes. But once I restart the phone, the app works perfectly fine. Keep in mind this is about 80% of the apps I download. - By far the biggest complaints is when I am watching a video, have that be on Facebook, YouTube etc. The video just stops for no reason. It just pauses like I just clicked on it. So I have to hit the play button to resume what I was watching. It wouldn't be such a big deal, if it didn't happen literally five times in a ten minute video. -The battery charging is atrocious. It literally takes my phone 10 hours to charge. And this is not because of the input/cord that I was using. I paid for brand new chargers, and tried many different inputs and cords. It is just slow, the best I could get when I plug it in, and wake up to go to work in the morning it only charged 82%. Overall, not worth the money. Not the 200$ I paid for it. My advice would be just to save up and buy a better phone. But if you need a phone cheap, buy elsewhere, this phone is just a waste of space. Honestly though, if they took care of the random bull crap that keeps getting in the way, and let me do what the phone is made to do, it would be a decent phone. But with the hit and miss battery and the awful performance, it is by far the worst phone I've ever had.

 • So I got one of these when my LG G4 got stuck in the infamous Boot Loop. I needed a cheap smartphone NOW as I was driving with Uber (the G4 crapped out while I was driving. I had to quit for the day). I've had the ZTE Zmax Pro for a year now, and except for a cracked screen (from dropping it on a stone floor), I have no complaints. Yes, the camera is mediocre, but it's nice to have a 5MP selfie camera. I don't have any issues with streaming speed. The GPS keeps up with my driving -- for hours at a time. Reading Kindle books on the screen is acceptable. The speaker sound is decent. The crack in the glass DOES interfere with some game play, but that's my own fault. I haven't had any issues at all, like random reboots, overheating, or charging issues. In fact, the battery sure outlasts the one the G4 had in it. Letting it go completely dead doesn't seem to harm it. I clear the cache every couple of weeks power it off and on again every 3 days or so. My opinion is: it's good value for the money.

 • Hi katlin, please would you consider giving it away to me, since you're going for an upgrade, I don't even have a smartphone at all, plssss

 • Don't spend a penny in this thing. I lost my investment. This is bad phone. I do understand how out there are " ingenious ingeniero" creating trash like that. shit of phone

 • I've heard stories about this, but all of them involved plugging in the wrong type of charger.

 • The phone looks great due to its size. But once I got the phone and finally started using it, the damn thing caught on fire. Literally! My phone cord melted the phone was so hot I could have burnt somebody. So I took it to metro and this stupid kid laughed at me and told me he couldn't do anything. That I'd have to either pay 30.00 and Waite a week . Or have to go to a different county. But Waite! Still pay 30.00 even though the phone Comes with a 1 year warranty on defects due to a built in battery! The 5 phones later. The shit reboots whenever it wants to ! On its own. The phone keeps a charge for only a few hours if that! Camera resolution is shit unless using an app like Instagram or Snapchat ! And it's do easy to scuff or crack. Even tempered glass for this phone is made ridiculously. This phone over heats. You cannot charge it with any charger other than the one you buy the phone with or it over heats! It reboots on and off by itself and can last up to 5 minutes ! If you are in a deep place and need a phone go ahead. But if you have the money to buy something better I'd advise that .. and the finger print sencor always says ( incorrect) and locks the phone when it wants to. I put my pin in and the finger print sensor works again the phone has a mind if its own.

 • THEE crappiest. ZTE powers off n on whenever it wants, audio w earphones is thee WORST. No matter what updates/button tricks/troubleshooting I tried all I got from T mob is 1 ZTE that gave me all that bs, then a 2nd replacement for the 1st one, which did the same, then a ZTE >LOANER< that did the SAME. EXACT. BS. 2 mos of runaround from T mob in getting a refund. Finally got refunded 2 days ago but this ZTE bs should never have came out. DO. NOT. GET. IT

 • If you are stuck on FTM mode, this article might help:

 • If your WiFi sucks that's on you. Not the phones fault you have crappy WiFi.

 • Trying to charge my phone which has been off for 3 days. "FTM" is showing....what does that mean?

 • I went through 3 of the same phones before i decided to give up. Worst phone ever! Screen glitches overheat my headphone jack wasnt working.

 • Can't get access to the Internet with a local network provider. Please any help?

 • The worst camera ever made. Seriously. I've had 10 phones. The worst. I've ever owned.

 • Is the phone so worst like that?

 • So the phone is not good for use and should not be on sale is that what you meant?

 • can't find 3G in my phone

 • This phone has given nothing but problems. The charge doesn't last at all. The biggest problem I'm having is I cant watch a video without it stopping and rebooting. It's just getting worse. This is the second one now because the first one was giving me so many problems I demanded another, luckily I had insurace. I'm in the process of looking for another brand all together. This phone sucks...

 • The phone specs make it seem fantastic and very comparable to the top of the line phones. However, I am currently returning my 4th phone of this model. It is full of glitches. Though, I have not had any issues with charging as others have mentioned, I have had numerous problems. The swipe function doesn't work properly, therefore scrolling is interesting to say the least. When typing not only does swipe not work but even chicken pecking with one finger yields terrible results. No, it is not operator error as I have been typing for more than half of my life. Also, I am missing phone calls and not receiving my text alerts. Luckily, I had insurance so I am getting an upgrade and hopefully this alternative phone works better. LG stylus 2 plus was sent for free due to my numerous issues.

 • It's not really a bad cell I mean I would not recommend to buy if you are a heavy smart phone user? As the processor speed is really really piss poor slow and as I too have had issues with e charging port even when the plug is in firmly and all the way it will not charge at times and I have read many complaints on that issue but I will say it is a great poor man so smart phone...

 • The phone itself wasn't too bad, but the sturdiness of the phone sucks. Volume buttons don't work anymore, back gets easily scratched, and the charging port doesn't work anymore leaving me a useless phone! I have to seek a alternative now!

 • Sorry to hear that. My ZTE ZMax Pro has none of those issues that you mention. On occasion, I do have a problem with the mic echoing to the listener. It could be the way I am holding the phone - I don't know. On those few occasions, I just take it off speakerphone and it works just fine. Since the phone is only six months old, it might behoove you to exchange it under warranty with your carrier. I do two things about once a week that keep my phone running smoothly. First, I clear the phone's cache: Go to Settings->Storage->Phone->Cached data (Wait until "Calculating..." switches to a value). Done. Secondly, I reboot the phone: While the phone is on, press the Power button for a few seconds until a 3-option white window appears. Tap Reboot and let your phone restart. Done. (Alternately, you can just press & hold the Power button for about 10 seconds until the screen goes black with "ZTE" and "Powered by Android" appearing on the screen, then let go of the Power button and it will reboot.)

 • I know this may sound silly, but just in case... I have known of several people who have had this issue, only to find that they have not pressed the plug far enough into the socket. Evidently, on some phones the contacts are very stiff, especially when new. Worth a try.

 • zte zmax pro is the worse phone ever..my cheapy free phone is 99% better than zmax pro..metro upgrades no exchanges or refunds..yuk!

 • This phone is one of the best phones with all these good specs its fast quick and its nice and bigger than my iphone 7 plus and i love it more than than man my iphone 7 plus.

 • Thank you for sharing, Tmobile is trying to give me this phone and other reviews are saying the same thing you are saying. I am not getting this phone.

 • I've had this phone for about two years and I LOVE it. I dropped it and the three control keys on the bottom of the phone stopped functioning correctly for a period of time but recently they began to work properly again!

 • This a horrible phone. The stupid phone womt hold a charge. Its constantly getting hot. This iis my 2nd phone. I hate this damn phone with a passion. Guess if price too go to be true, dont buy it. You get what you paid for.

 • Is true is this phone is a mess.

 • This phone is horrible I have been having issues since I got this phone I had to do a warranty on the first one this is the second one and it's worse than the first I recommend not to buy it never would I bu

 • Are you serious about this cause I just bought this phone

 • To fix it from turning off and not on for days is hold the volume up and volume down and the power button all at the same time for 15sec and it will turn on. It goes into a deep sleep mode

 • What are you talking about ? USB on the go ?

 • This phone sucks because it does support USB On the Go (OTG) Otherwise it is an ok phone, but come on people at ZTE, dont you think people use OTG these days? Specially on your high end phone!

 • ZTE pro max is an absolutely great phone, especially for a pre paid phone. The screen is really big the camera is great and the memory is good. Recommend this phone

 • Yes

 • Thinking* I'm typing this on my ZMAX Pro

 • Corrupted*

 • WORST. PHONE. EVER. This phone is such a positive. It can't even handle new games. Especially graphic intensive games. Also, the mic sucks on this phone. I usually have to call people back for them to understand me. Also, it doesn't read micro SD cards for some reason. I tried 2 different brands and the stupid phone irrupted them as soon as I put them in the phone. This phone is the absolute worst. I will never buy another ZTE phone. I'm think about getting a Galaxy note edge. It may be an older phone but they are still great phones. It was far ahead of it's time. What do you guys think of the note edge?

 • I know what you mean. I'm done with ZTE

 • Not to mention it has to have the worst speaker on earth, I've seen flip phones that sound better. It also turns itself off when it feels like it. smh

 • I can't believe I'm the only one having so many problems with this phone (ZMAX Pro) This is hands down the worst cell phone I've ever owned. It freezes on incoming calls, I factory reset it, still does it. It won't send texts at times, it won't make outbound calls at other times, factory reset again, same problems. The touch screen is terrible, I have to tap and tap and tap to get it to register, especially on copying texts. Did I get a lemon? I don't see all of these issues from anyone else. I have not had it 6 months yet and I need a new phone. This is crazy!

 • I tried a 64gb Samsung and pny and both didn't work at all. I think my phone may be messed up. I hate this phone. I'm already sick of it.

 • I think iPhones can do that. No android phone can that I know of. At least not with the stock messaging app.

 • I thought I was the only one having this issue

 • This Phone is NOT 5GHz supported so it does NOT have 802.11a or 802.11ac. I bought it yesterday.

 • Got this phone a month ago, a couple weeks after I bought it, realized the headphone jack doesn't work. All my media (videos, music, etc) no matter where I'm running it from randomly starts and stops by itself. Mostly stops. So I can't depend on the phone for literally anything. It deletes my photos, and wont save others. It also very recently started pushing its own buttons. It doesn't send pictures or videos if I have the wifi on so the wifi on it is also broken or malfunctioning. It completely defeats the point in a smart phone. Seeing as how I can only make calls or send a text here and there. This is infuriating and I will never purchase anything made by this company again.

 • This phone was good until the sound stopped working. My phone was manufactured Dec of 2016 and it is broken already. How sad is that?

 • I bought it a bit ago. It works great. I just have issues on some sites. Like pokesniper.org it cant run it. It will log out saying it can't handle it. Otherwise it has a ton of space and great ram and processors. It's not as good as some phones but I got it for 99 bucks. I can't complain.

 • Worst phone I've ever had, going back to a Sony xperia z.

 • I can't see when text where read or see them typing

 • No, it hosts a single SIM chip in an external sliding tray on the side of the phone.

 • Please is this Phone a dual sim?

 • I love this phone and it works great I bought this last Sunday and I really love it

 • Well I was thinking about buying this because I have the ZTE MAX and I love it but since I was searching this phone I will just stay with my ZTE MAX I've had this phone for three years

 • Yes I brought a ZTE pro max phone what happens a month later . All the Google apps craped out I spend over 8 hrs trying to get Google to work right all I get is that Google play services need to be updated so I thought I cleaned the data there it is .And was told they knew about the problem and still sold to the consumer and don't like having another company sell it

 • My problem with this phone my bottom board has went out on this phone and the one before this. Just got this phone Saturday. Now I am going to take it back, hope I get a better phone.

 • Screen breaks easily....... false advertising and the company will not do anything to fix or replace it. I filed an official compliant for false adverting

 • I'm using this phone in Nigeria I like it but it does not support 3g/4g here

 • I've had the same exact problem with this phone. It will turn itself off and then cut back on maybe an hour or so later. I can't deal and this stress me out!!! I think I might have to return it. I really like the phone, I just can't deal with the phone turning off and I can't use it for whatever length of time. AAArrghhh!!

 • Mine reads a 32g Samsung with no problem..

 • registering 911 address does NOT fix wifi calling issues. neither does wiping cache or any of the other ZTE suggestions.

 • This phone does not have 5ghz, and I'm not sure how to check the LTE bands, but my guess is that ZTE embellished on these as well as having 5ghz. The latest patch made wifi calling unusable, (it did make web browsing much faster). So using this phone for voice inside is not something that is currently fun. Have to reboot phone at least twice a day for voice calls now.

 • I love this phone except it won't read any micro sd card except Kingston brand. But idc since you're not supposed to put apps on it. So pretty much micro sd cards are useless. I have my iPad Pro for games and photos so I don't need a micro sd card. Even Samsung and Sandisk cards don't work in this phone. So if you need a micro sd card be prepared to pay a premium price for a Kingston card or move on.

 • This is a good phone and all but it only uses android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, which is a bit outdated in this day of age since Android O is coming out and Nougat is going to be a year old soon. I wonder if there is going to be a Nougat update for this phone but I doubt it when they come out with the ZTE Zmax Pro 2. The screen is nice, the phone build quality is brilliant and the cameras are good. It's just a buggy phone though. Is there going to be any root available for this device any time soon?

 • supports my external 32g card just fine - plus, it's a card that my lg (previous phone) could not even identify!

 • My phone just cuts off and it's fully charged and will not come back on for at lease 20 to 30 mins

 • Is the software upgradable?

 • Has alot of software and driver issues do not buy at least wait another 6 months when these issues will be fixed hopefully.just trying to save you some skin.

 • i finally saved up enough money to buy this phone. i dont know when ill get it but hopefully tomorrow or sunday. this phone sounds great.

 • does this phone support any other sim cards or only zte special cards ?

 • dear i have used this phone in Ethiopia but the phone has not support 3G/4g network could you help, please?

 • You may try Nokia map > HERE WeGo - Offline Maps & GPS, and Google offline mode to use your cell in out-of-service areas.

 • I have had this phone for a couple of weeks now and I have to say that I am very happy!! Fantastic phone for the price!

 • The volume sucks on this phone.Putting it on Speaker sound like it should be for ear speaker.Plugged in my auxiliary cord in the car I can turn the volume all the way up and it's not even that loud.I even tried different apps to enhance the volume nothing works. They must have put hearing aid speakers in this phone.

 • I bought two phones in December an I've had problems with both. The first phone the ear piece didn't work so you had to have it on speaker to hear anything. Warranty traded it the next day. New phone glitches when you try to play any games and when you have earbuds in it cuts out constantly and the s itself off. Now tonight the original charger we received with the phone literally melted. The other phone I have glitches like the other one an turns itself off periodically.

 • Thanks for the tip

 • Ritch, Have you checked to see if your 911 address is registered? If it's not registered, WiFi calling will not work. If you have metro pcs, there is an option in the metro app to register your address and you don't even have to call tech support, just put your address in the e911 section of the app.

 • Having the same problem also

 • How about RAM ?

 • Just got phone a week ago. Worked good, but did Dec.1,2016 upgrade and now am having an issue with duplicate texting when I use speech to text. I cant get it to pair with my JBL Flip3. I had the older ZTE MAX and loved it. In the text window I can only see 2 rows of text as I am texting and cannot proof read very easy before sending. The battery does not last as long as my old Z Max either. Also miss the bar at top that shows me a text message and what it says as I am on a call (put it on speaker to look). Now it just says Metro PCS and that is it. I will hope for a fix and am still getting used to it but am having a little buyers remorse.

 • I was referring to another post that said they recommend the prom. It looks like it was deleted though. I just realized you must write in English so I retract my statement. I thought you could write in any language and hate when people don't write in proper English. But since you can't write in another language I apologize.

 • I love this phone! It works flawlessly! I even upgraded it to B14 and it still works flawlessly!

 • Can't ever get the WiFi Calling to work, I don't have good signal where I live, but overall great phone

 • I love this phone nothing ever wrong had it a year now.. The quality is amazing.. To me it beats my old iPhone 6 plus and galaxy mega..my lg flex.. It beats them all I'm never switching phones..

 • AnthonyS1989 ,If you where referring to Jlopez article It says: FROM the store... You should be following the Posting rules. Have a great day !

 • You recommend prom? Don't you mean you recommend the phone? Write in proper English if you're going to write in English. Thanks

 • Yes, It cost $99 but if you buy this from the metro store, they are going to give you a rebate of $ 60 bucks back !!!

 • Where i can buy it in philippines?

 • Thank you for this comment. It was really helpful. My phone was not turning on. I thought it was dead so I charged it but there was no indication that it was charging and did not turn on for a day. Turns out, it was just in sleep mode. I must have accidentally put it on sleep mode when I was hitting the power button. I must've hit the volume buttons with the power button since it is in a case. I turned it on as you suggested by holding down the power and the volume buttons for 10-15sec. Thanks again.

 • I bought gorilla glass and quality case same day just right there, at the store. The phone seems to be working great until now. Just having it for a week. Nothing is perfect in life, camera quality is really bad... I had Galaxy Mega 6.2 before for many years. Best camera ever.

 • Get a small Bluetooth speaker like the JBL clip.

 • Gorilla Glass is not crack proof, crack resistant but not crack proof, capiche.

 • How to get in india

 • Great phone, but go with T-mobile to get the best performance.

 • Thanks for the info comparing to lg gflex. I finally injured my gflex severely and will retire it to Chromecast duties at home. Was frantically looking for comparable 6"that doesn't cost an arm and a leg... :-) very reassuring :-)

 • that's right!

 • Same here unlimited plan for metro and wifi sucks and using my cell data is a nightmare. I had the ZTE max before I got the pro and the max was one of the best working phones I have ever had . Wish I could say the same about this one

 • I want this ZTE Zmax Pro but I don't know how could I find it over my country?(HAITI).

 • I think all your points are over zealous in relation to this phone. I have none of the issues in the severity you seem to state. It's OK if that's how you see these points but know that 98% of reviews on prom at are great. A phone don't need to blast sound. It does the trick very well Imo but your opinion counts to as invalid as it seems to be. I never had a call drop, never. I hear and am heard perfectly. Watching videos is easy on the ears to. I recommend prom at highly

 • new phone and nothing but trouble. first ftm, ok get new phone (same) cost 30 bucks for replacement, and, now no internet and when i did get it for 2 hours, it would scroll down then zoom to the top. I also have an authentication problem. computer works, netflix works. i don't get wifi or metro internet and i have the unlimited plan. I am in phone hell.

 • You do realize that a phone with gps and agps means it has both right? it works faster with agps for sure, but when you don´t have internet service the gps is still there working, it´s just a bonus, agps, glosnass, beidu, they all add extra precision to the base gps that works in the base gps network, like any other gps device.

 • This phone sounded great, until I saw the GPS. See, I'm trying to cut down on the amount of items I carry with me, and I go places where I need a GPS that works reliably. A-GPS may work faster than standard satellite, but I am often in places where there is no service. No service, no A-GPS. No GPS, and I am potentially lost in the woods, wondering if my food will hold out until the search party arrives. I know this is not a concern for everyone, but if you need more mapping than trying to beat cross town traffic, this phone will let you down.

 • It's a Great Phone but it has a bug where when your playing games the screen would not respond like the game will keep playing the u can't move the screen or anything for like 3 to 5 seconds really annoying anyone know how to fix this?

 • If you buy your phone thru Metro PCS and I only paid 99 bucks.. well worth it.. they will unlock after 3 months of paid service.. I will probably use mine in Colombia. so I need the SIM card to do that

 • Great phone. Had the older model, too. Upgraded to this phone and love it. Big screen for movies/gaming, lots of extras--why are you paying hundereds when you can get this for 120? I ride on Metro PCS and never have issues... I was on ATT for 10 years and Metro is just as good. Very satisfied.

 • How would I get this phone unlocked? Any idea if this phone would work with straight talk?

 • Awesome phone!

 • I purchased this phone through our local T-Mobile store & absolutely love it. I read all the reviews on it I could find before the purchase. The only downside to this phone is the speaker volume. It is about on par with my old Samsung S5, maybe a slight bit more volume. That's about it. If you want an economical, very functional, large screen android powered phone, this is it.

 • Depend on what channels ATT uses in your area. This phone doesn't have Band 17 which is used by att heavily, so you might have some connection issues.

 • Because sometimes it can save screen from cracking (accepts shock instead of gorilla glass) helps against some scratches too I think, but since zmax has slightly rounded edges it might not help

 • ZTE ZMAX PRO...LOVE LOVE LOVE this phone its the best phone I've ever owned..crisp clear picture, the sound, the design, and its low price made it affordable! Thank You!

 • The volume is crap, can barely hear while talking on the phone... The speakers the same, can barely hear music or movies.. And don't even try to use the speaker phone! Other than that, (which is a pretty BIG problem for me) it's an ok phone..the finger scanner is iffy! It only works about 75% of the time.. The camera takes very low grade photos.. But for free it's OK..

 • Why would any phone that has Gorilla Glass III need a screen protector?!?

 • Concerning the sound quality. Go to the Dolby sound. Set the specifications to full on the customs settings. That should improve the sound quality.

 • Just got it on Metro. Had the LG G FLEX on Att...The original. It compares nicely. I miss the duribility of the G FLEX. THE ZTE definitely needs a screen protector and case... Looking forward to seeing how well it works with a big SD CARD...BUT GAMING IS FINE. I'll be loading StarTrek and more, but Animation Throwdown and all the video I've seen so far hasn't shown any lag at all. I'd have to say it's better than the G FLEX even in that aspect. Great phone

 • I want to like this phone but you can't run high end games on it without it overheating and lagging causing the battery to drain really fast. This is a budget phone after all so I'm not too surprised. Plus it has issues but it seems like the B14 update fixed most of them. I don't have the money for a new phone so I'm stuck with it. Hopefully it will start working better with this new update. We'll see.

 • Best budget phone on the market hands down. Good amount of internal storage made even better with a dedicated micro SD slot. I rarely ever have any problems with this phone. It runs smooth, very rarely slows down and great battery life. My only real complaint is that it has no NFC or IR blaster. The biggest seller for me is internal and external storage. The finger print reader is just a huge bonus for the price.

 • Thank you for info on audio recording..I will try again without the protective case.

 • I love everything about this phone except music video quality..Sound sucks and volume is too low..Anybody with tips on how to improve this? I would appreciate any guidance..thank you

 • Mine works great it's unlocked and I'm currently using a Mexico sim card company in the united States has great and amazing signal I'm using T-Mobile towers

 • Don't buy these phones. They are compete crap ! After a few weeks of use you will regret it. GPU/CPU constantly overheats. Lost calls even though you have full network bars .No wireless AC 5ghz channel - was advertised on their web site as having it. -COMPLETE LIE ! I have 2 .. one for me and the wife. Both are troublesome. regret my purchase. If you buy this phone... eventually you will too !

 • Pro's nice memory, great screen size, and good battery life. Finger print scanner is a plus. Con's keep losing internet, phone service, hotspot works sporadically, app sometimes takes more than one tap to work, google voice search sometimes doesn't work, freezes up. Maybe I just got a defective phone.

 • Well it must be your phone because everyone is saying it's pretty good.

 • To take a screenshot hold the power and the volume down button at the same time!

 • if it's unlocked, will it work with AT&T 3G and 4G LTE?

 • Its a nano sim card

 • Damn, mine works perfectly. On T-Mobile

 • Do not like the phone. Constantly freezing. Shuts down many apps while you are in them. Unable to respond to emails as it won't let me type, I have to start from compose. The alarm clock provided on the phone will not ring, had to download a different alarm app. The battery life on lasts 3 hours. When trying to get into an app you may have to try several times as it rarely opens on the first attempt. Too many problems to list. Definitely not a phone I would recommend.

 • What SIM card? Micro? Nano? Is this a deep, dark secret?

 • Best phone I ever had. I love the fact that it is a big 6 inch screen and it's fast as hell. Affordable, durable and sexy. Love it!!!!!!!

 • This is the best phone I have ever had! I haven't had any problems with it at all. Love the huge screen size for watching movies and the 32gb of internal memory. I do wish it was mhl compatible but I haven't come across one that is 4g.

 • This phone has 4G LTE. And I get great reception with it. Idk why you say it doesn't have 4G.

 • No it's not. ZTE confirmed with Android Authority that they don't plan on releasing Nougat for the Zmax Pro. The rumors were wrong. I'm bummed out now. Btw ZTE is working on another update to fix all of the issues people are facing. They said they have no timeline on when they will release the update though.

 • I've had this phone since its release at metro pcs, and the only problem I notice is if I'm texting to fast the keyboard glitches a little, but other than that still works like new with the hybrid Case it holds my 128gb SD card and will be one of the first handsets to be getting the Nouget upgrade, they are already setting up a beta for people with, The ZMAX PRO in the u.s.a. For $99 I think it's still the best phone for under $200 and when we get Android Nouget hopefully we will see a little More features like call blocking that alot of people like to have, without using a 3rd Party App.

 • Nougat is coming to Zmax pro very soon

 • I bought this phone for my 14yr old son from Metro Pcs on 12-3-16 for his birthday. We went straight to his party. Didn't even get to use the phone, that night he tried to charge it and the phone started overheating. We unplugged it and went to the store the following morning. The girl started giving me attitude but I stood my ground, finally they agreed to give us a new phone. Long stort short, 3 wks later AND a complaint to the BBB we got results! So far no other problems.

 • @ Anonymous. Zmax Pro(Z981) has a built in battery which can not be removed and just in case if a phone powers off automatically that could be due to a glitch or freezing issues. However a power drain will fix the problem, just hold the power button for 20-30 seconds and the phone will vibrate after which you'll see the phone coming back to life.

 • I was told at the metro PC's store that the ZMAX pro have that problem and to solve it hold the up and down volume as well as the power button for 10-15 seconds and your phone should power on. It goes on a deep sleep mode.

 • Hi, To make video calls by default the built version has to be running on B12 and B08 is the old version which does not have video calling capibility.

 • I did hear it will come with video calling

 • Claudia, To capture a screen-shot from the ZTE ZMAX PRO, press and hold both the Power button and Volume Down button at the same time.. Should work perfectly! As far as the inferior audio on the recordings go, my only suggestion there would be to maybe make certain the microphone is not blocked in any sort of way.. If you have a protective case for the phone, make certain the hole over the microphone is not prohibitive in any sort of way. Sometimes my finger blocks the mic when I try and record as it sit there perfectly when holding the phone in one hand. Best of luck!! I am pretty impressed with my phone over all!!

 • I have this same phone and have even not experienced any of the problems I see I in the comments

 • this phone isn't mhl capable, so no cable (in my experience...i've had this phone since August of last year), will allow it to show on a TV

 • had the same thing happen to me, but I found a solution online.....apparently it has something to do with hitting the power and volume down keys at the same time....if it happens again, hold your power button for 15 seconds....

 • I bought this phone on the advice of my son and daughter-in-law. I have been disappointed since day one. When I left the store, I went back to work. I tried to use it and nothing. I couldn't get online or text. I thought I was in a dead zone. I wasn't. The phone had frozen on the very first use. This was not an isolated incident. I have to reboot my phone 15 or more times per day, usually when I need it the worst. I took it back to the store and told them about the issue and the girl grabbed my phone and started pushing buttons without me being able to see which made me very nervous. She said it was an app I downloaded. I told her it had been doing this since before I installed anything on it. She handed it back and said she had to see it malfunction before she would do anything. She was very rude so I was too at that point. I took it to a different store and was told it could be changed out under warranty but if he did it there would be a $15 charge. The store I bought it from can do it for free. I am so looking forward to dealing with those people again. (sarcasm there). I don't care for the phone, the service, or the people at the Metro PCS store. It has been the worst phone I have ever owned. I miss my Samsung Galaxy S3.

 • My husband bought and game me this ZTE ZMAX Pro phone on 01/02/2017 and im having problems with the phone already. When people is calling me as soon I answered the phone it won't take the calls. My son was texting me and I'm not able to receive the text and my husband wasn't able to received my text neither. When I'm on the phone talking and the voice mail starts talking with the missed messages and I have to hang up the phone to stop the voice messages. I feel very frustrated and I don't know what to do? Another problem is that when I recorded my Zumba class yesterday 01/06/17 the sound of is horrible. One thing I wish the phone needs is being able to do screen shots because it is very helpful when I want to keep important information and save it. Please Let me know what should I do? Thanks, sincerely Claudia

 • My phone shut off for several days. Would not turn back on and it was fully charged. Out of nowhere, it turned back on. Now, sometimes the screen will flicker. I'm not too happy about this issue!

 • Hi, just got this phone, need big screen , retailer clueless, question : will this phone sync with my Samsung Gear 2 watch ? I installed the gear app and can't get it to show up , even through blue tooth, not going to be happy if it does not synce, watch cost almost 3 xs what phone did, worked perfectly with my Mega 6.3 , but charging port went bad, known issue Samsung will not address , thanks

 • This phone is so cool but it freezes up too much for me and the finger print sensor stop working I only had the phone for a month.

 • Same happens to me can't play my games cause they require 4G or Wifi so this phone is NOT 4G

 • This phone is cool, the only thing is that it has a lack of gestures like a ONEPLUS or the battery life like a ONEPLUS. Otherwise i like this phone i give it a 7.5 out of 10 because of the battery life and lack of gestures.

 • Hey bud just saw your post dont know if you will see this but go to a walmart/bestbuy or any other store you think sells chromcast google cromcast has changed my life its all bluetooth

 • The speaker is very low, sound quality stinks! And twice now, the phone just shut off and for over 2 hours would not turn back on, and yes it was charged...not sure what that was all about. But very inconvenient for sure.

 • Hello, I bought this phone but I can`t access 3G nor 4G only 2G and it is very slow. Kindly advise. Thanks.

 • I bought the phone very excited about all the features and the battery life from the Metro PC store (9112 N Florida Ave, Tampa, FL 33604). $140 with case, screen protector, and activation. Phone works great. Camera doesn't see well in low light and the battery doesn't last more than 6 hours. A VERY Far cry from the 25 hours of talk time and 400 hours standby by it promised. The new power adapter makes all my other cables useless. The screen is great, apps run fine. The metro store sent me to corporate and corporate reset my phone and sent me home telling me to not plug it in over night. I'm stuck with the phone and I can't use it because it it just dies.

 • I am having the same issue with my ZTE

 • SIM card. Micro? Nano?

 • Does it come with video calling feature? It's the metro Pcs version

 • I have the same issue you do. My ZMAX Pro seems to prefer 3G, as the network connection is more stable than 4G/LTE. I'm looking into ways to disable the 'hibernation' feature to maintain network connection. XDA-Developers may have something, not sure.

 • i went though 2 phones and 3 months the first one i had let my sister see the phone and when she gave it back to me nothing was wrong with it until i got home to turn it on but it wouldn't cut back on so the next day i went to go get a other one and so i just went to go get in the shower and im the only person that in my home beside my daughter and she 6 months and the phone doing the same thing the phone wont turn on or anything

 • I love this phone like others do, but I'm having an issue trying to figure out how I can hook it up to my TV? I don't have a smart TV but it has both HDMI and USB capabilities, but I don't know which cords or adapters are required. Could someone please provide me this solution because I'm going bananas over this. I purchased a cord off eBay that I thought was it, but nope it wasn't!! HELP!!!!!

 • When this phone release on Indonesia

 • I got this phone almost 2 wks ago, as my xmas present, and I'm 99.9% delighted with it. The camera is great; the storage is great; the fingerprint sensor is great; and the speed, after 7 months with a Galaxy Core Prime, is out of this world -- I had to get my Core Prime out last night to look up my auto-reject phone numbers list, and that thing is so slow compared to the ZTE, I can't believe I put up with it for 7 months. However the issue with the auto-reject numbers is half of that .1% dissatisfaction, but it's not the phone itself, but ZTE: apparently the auto-reject list is a feature of Samsung's Android flavor, which ZTE doesn't share, and I now have to use an app to get the same function, blocking nuisance calls. And that meant having to enter them manually, though the app I'm using does allow text-file importing. The other half of that .1% is that ZTE has disabled the Android feature of moving apps to the SD card. Since the Zmax Pro has 32GB internal storage, it's not a HUGE issue, but still... why do that? It makes no sense at all. This Android version also doesn't have the accessibility feature of enabling one-tap phone answering and call ending; that can be gotten around by setting the fingerprint sensor to answer, but I need an app to provide me with a one-tap hangup button. Some of us are just not good with the swiping business, and really need that 1-tap button for answering and ending calls. One other small dissatisfaction is more of a "geeky" issue; ZTE's Android has disabled the SystemUI Tuner, so one is forced to look at an entire row of notification icons most all the time. Even with "Developer Mode" enabled, there is still no access to the SystemUI Tuner. At the ZTE forum, I also learned that there are currently no plans to update Marshmallow to Nougat, and no means of "rooting" the phone at all. Not big issues to most, but to a geek, maybe a big deal. But, those are all fairly small picky issues (though the lack of an auto-reject list is a real pain!); for $99, I think the Zmax Pro is probably impossible to beat. Want a fast phone with good memory, without having to mortgage your first-born? This is the one to get.

 • I have owned this phone for several months and love it. It takes fantastic pictures and video, great battery life when you make sure that all of your open windows and apps are closed, call quality is stupendious, storage and processer high end for a phone at this price point, overall a fantastic phone.

 • Where can i get this phone here in south africa?

 • I had the zte zmax pro I liked the size and I was having the same issue you were I returned mine I was going to have t mobile send me one in the mail but got a different phone instead now I miss the zmax pro

 • Spend a bit more and a better device. It'll save you headaches and money in the long-run

 • from metro pcs or tmobile its cheaper at metropcs 100 dollars

 • where did you buy this device

 • For me after about a week or two the flickers went away without any replacement, you should be fine

 • Thanks for your help I really appreciate it.

 • This would be a great phone for the price, if it was stable. I've had it for about a month now and the issues with the network are quickly getting to the point where they're too much to bare and I'm already looking to switch to another phone if there isn't something done to alleviate it. While calls and data are actively being used it's fine, but as soon as you let it sleep for too long, suddenly you find your not getting texts, calls, or data until you either reboot or cycle airplane mode. Whats incredibly frustrating is it seems like something that could be resolved with a firmware/software update, but it's been quite a while and here we are. Additionally, there's weird graphical flickering in anything that uses the system intensively, primarily games. It's not bad enough to be unusuable (its typically only at start and occasionally during shifts from low to heavy use) but it's not great. Haven't really used the fingerprint scanner at all to say anything about it. Camera is "good enough" but not great. I'd be happy enough with it if it wasn't for the network issues. I have a phone to get calls. If it can't do the basic thing it's designed for, it's time for a new phone. Unless they fix that at some point, I'd stay away. (Should note I can confirm its not a network issue causing the network troubles. It appears to be something with sleep mode. Also note I'm talking about the model that came from MetroPCS, other models might vary.) (Accidentally posted this under the ZTE Zmax previously, but it actually belongs here. Mods, if you can filter the other one out and post this, that would be great.)

 • i have this phone and i like it....very nice

 • Its nice. Although a few things that I don't like. For example, you cannot set the notification sound as vibrate unless you put the ringtone on vibrate. Also when using apps like Pandora, Spotify, etc. you have to go back to the app to change the song since there is no shortcut.

 • I was thinking about getting this phone should i

 • Update has been pulled. It is messing up phones that had no issues. The thing is a pos!!

 • TMobile owns MetroPCS, they're the on the same network and offer the same phones

 • guys do you know where are the stores of ZTE here in the philippines???

 • Yes it has been happening during streaming video. I have a worry about it as well but as long as you have not gotten it wet or broke the screen it can probably get replaced. I'm not a worker so don't take my word as set in stone but most Companies will exchange it if there's a malfunction

 • Ya I read all the hype about the pro and ran out and bought it. I wanted to add an outboard DAC/headphone amp for great audio playback. Girl at store said no problem. Well it does not have USB OTG. I should have checked the specs. Obviously the girl at metro did not know anything. The phone is useless to me without USB OTG and getting rid of it. Staying with ZTE though. Axon7 or possibly the 7mini. PS. The audio out of the pros headphone jack is at best dismal.plus it has other yet fixed issues. Mine is for sale lol

 • I had the same issues until I received the update on the MetroPCS version. Go into settings, scroll down to about phone, and look for a system update. If it's not there, then you need to call MetroPCS and ask them about it. Also, for an SMS and MMS app I prefer Textra, so you might want to look into that app. It works great, even though it's $3 in the play store. Good luck with your device.

 • No but mine does not work

 • Do you mean sum card or micro sd card

 • Hello guys! Any idea on where this device can be purchased in the Philippines?

 • Hello! Any idea on where this device can be purchased in the Philippines?

 • Same. We got two and both phones do it. So far doesn't seem to have any negative impact, but it's definitely worrisome.

 • let your fon cooldown at least 10 mins before charging. Much better if its Off to preserve the battery life, and lastly, NEVER use your fon while its charging!

 • Since I first got the phone I have very quick flashes of digital breakup. It doesn't really interfer with anything but it's just concerning. I hope the phone doesn't die out because of this. Does anyone else have this issue? I also have some trouble with the network like mms and internet surfing

 • Yes

 • You can also purchase the zmax pro at tmobile! Prepaid and Postpaid!

 • So, it's been out for five months. Do we not know what SIM card it takes?

 • Yes, this phone will work w/AT&T.

 • The Zmax Pro is now available in Walmart as a Walmart Family Mobile phone for $149, so Metro PCS is not the only place carrying them.

 • Will this phone hit other operators except MetroPCS?? i have at&t and i really love this phone

 • no,i buy from tmobil yesterday

 • Is only for metro pcs servis usa.

 • My phone always lose connection. From the very first day I have had problems. It doesn't matter where I am: work, home, church, etc ... it just loses signal and won't connect to a network. I have called Customer Service and they have had to trouble shoot but it still doesn't work properly. I literally have to reboot my phone about 3-4 times a day... VERY UNSATISFIED....

 • My call quality is bad. Anyone else?

 • hey its says its not bluetooth stereo comparable in the feature specs, you said it connects to all your bluetooth devices no problem are you able to play musice and use the ohone throigh a bluetooth stereo in a car?

 • Incredible.....

 • That man from the Philippines he wanted to know how he can get a ztezmax phone call t-mobile & tell them that you want a a ztezmax phone the phone comes with everything like my phone I ordered last.night was the phone the plan the insurance & taxes came up to $253

 • hey its says its not bluetooth stereo comparable in the feature specs, you said it connects to all your bluetooth devices no problem are you able to play musice and use the ohone throigh a bluetooth stereo in a car?

 • Great bang for the buck. Only thing that I've noticed is videos hanging up, probably due to 2 Gb memory. Not a big deal for me as I don't use that often. For what I wanted to spend, it's perfect and better than I could have hoped for.

 • I just got the ZTE ZMAX PRO this month and now its overheating every time I put it on the charger and the screen is completely black. it’s receiving notifications and I can touch the phone to answer calls, but the screen wont show anything and I have no idea if the fingerprint system is working. When I could see the screen it was glitching very bad. Any help before I file for another one?

 • I could write a long review about the pone, but to sum it up. This phone is awesome. It's worth the buy.

 • I want this phone. This phone is the best one I've ever owned or will own.

 • where can i buy this in the uk

 • Great phone love the display great for games and music or for business highly recommend. Only downside to the phone is you have to replace all those micro USB cords as it takes USB type C

 • Also go to your camera settings and choose where you want photos stored, Choose card.

 • Download the Google Photos app and you can schedule it to auto upload all of your photos taken to the free unlimited Cloud (must have Gmail account)

 • i hate this comny becoz this pon is not avlbl in india

 • It's a good phone 138 to upgrade and 40 to port over from Another company...! Still a good phone ,if you want high end try axon 7

 • what! no nfc? not cool zte

 • good spec with low price

 • Thats philippines

 • Yeah im also from the lhilippines but with no idea how to get this amazing best budget phone pls help meeeee

 • Its a great phone...but how am i to save my pics to the memory card?? Great screen, hits all my bt devices and wish.com has ctype chargers all day long. :-) great buy, just need my pics saved so i may restore phone, u know the web, virus virus virus

 • T-Mobile owns metro pcs. It is a pre pay phone. $100 u.s.d is what I picked it up for at a metro PCs authorized dealer on Wednesday. Do your research.

 • 5g wi-fi....in the states no less. I mean this thing kills it on 4g LTE. My charge time suffers mainly due to neglect. I try so hard to train Sam (my phone) to be a quick charger. He doesn't even fetch a stick anymore. I just hope he'll get better. #savesam

 • Wow something must be wrong with your phone mine last a long time and recharges quickly.

 • You can hard reset the phone if by locked out you mean you forgot your password for the lock screen. You just have to hold the power and volume keys down all at the same time while the handset is turned off.

 • this phone is good it not great or amazing it just simple good there are problems that come with this phone the battery,screen,wi-fi. people lie and say it good but in reality this phone dies on me on just 1 day and takes forever to charge not only that u cant use other people USB cable cause it a c type no one has those charge there are not big here in a america so u forgot to charge your phone and u left your charger at home will then your done for because no one has a c type charger and and the ZTE will die fast even if u use the turn on battery saver. Now on the screen it great display and all but it flickers not always but sometimes. The wi-fi is kinda of a problem to me i have 5G wifi with NETGEAR and with this phone i cant connect to it and it sucks because i have to use my data to check Facebook or gmail and it sucks that sometimes it lags and at least one or twice crashes. in my opinion if your a heavy user and depend on your phone a lot don't buy this phone even if your student in school don't because of the battery nut other then that go ahead and buy it

 • cause only metro pcs has it

 • I also had a problem with the caller ID but have since figured out how to fix it.....you have to go to your Settings, Apps, T-Mobile Name Id, Permissions, and check Allow to all so it has access to your Contact List so the Caller ID appears when someone calls.

 • Good afternoon all I must say I'm surprisingly shocked and happy with this device, I have had many phones in my life time, you name it I've probably had it or know of it in 53 years. I'm a former Circuit City repair tech, ex Best Buy Supervisor in several departments, so I love technology. This ZTE Zmax Pro for the price with the features it has, a lot of these Big phone makers should be ashamed of what their charging folks. I tell you gone are the days of me purchasing a phone for over $200.00.

 • I think not, I already searched for this phone and it's not available anywhere. The store person is not even know and don't have any idea about this phone.

 • Can you be more specific? I cannot find how to enable the caller ID

 • is it available in the philippines????

 • I just got zmax pro from metro pcs .the phone is excellent the display of the screen is nice clear I love this phone I wanted to recommend it

 • It's a dam good phone.

 • @ Martina Ibrahim. Just go to settings & then look for app permissions under which you just need to enable "T-mobile name ID" . This should display caller ID .

 • All the features are good but the issue of contacts not syncing with calls and caller ID doesn't show up for incoming calls is a too bad thing .. I bought my mobile from T-Mobile .. If any one find a solution of this problem please tell me

 • its about damn time something for 'AMERICAN' as you put it.

 • I bought this at Metropcs store for $39 plus one month service was $30 (US dollars). I got it that cheap because I ported my number from AT&T. It's a pretty good phone for this price.

 • Well I brought my phone Oct 11th only use it 3 days and got locked out of it. Its November now and I'm still locked out the phone I paid $135 for that phone. And the phone was only $99 dollars. I didn't receive any good customer service. They wanted me to called the insurance ppl but they don't have anything to do with it cause the phone is not broke. The hiefers wasn't going to tell me about the security warranty so I can get another phone they act like they didn't care cause it's not there phone. If you purchase this phone make sure you have the phone in your hand and do everything your self. They act like they couldn't give me a new phone

 • its not designed for the indian market!

 • Its a damn good value? Yeah maybe if you are the 1 in 10 that geta one that works like its supposed to. Ask the other 9 people if they think its a.damn good phone? So then whos correct the 9 that says its shit or the one person that said its a damn good value?👎

 • Malasia? Seriously? No never will either. Its an exclusive phone for. American company. Your lucky though. The phone is great on paper but in the real world ITS CRAP!!!

 • Well thats what you get when you live in S.A. and buy a phone designed for the United States. Its an exclusive phone for Metro PCS (American company). So seriously wtf were you thinking?!

 • I'm having the same issues. Did you find a fix?

 • Where are you saving the contact? PHONE, SIM, GMAIL etc... Make sure you're using only ONE Gmail account for everything. If you have more than one, *ME*, and you are logged into the phone as "1" but save the contact under "2" the calls will not correlate to contact. Do you save contact with the "+1" or just (123) 555-1212? If this fails just tell your mom to stop calling you from her disposable phones :)

 • Am I the only one having problems with the caller id because when people call me their names does not show up even tho there name is in my contacts of anybody knows how to fix this pls help

 • I have had nothing but problems with the phone it allows me to down load a few things and then I try to down load stuf from play station and I get a message saying the phone is unable to down load I have taken it back 3x and they finally gave me a new phone which work well for 4 days and started doing the same thing worse phone I have ever had.

 • Try this website to check whether a phone will be compatible with a particular carrier. If you don't see the phone listed, let the site admin know, and they'll have it added.

 • yes it will

 • Run antutu to see how damn laggy and stuttering is the Adreno 405 no thanks

 • Yes, I use my 256gb sd card with mine and I move pics and data

 • Will it get lte on at& t

 • I love this phone my 4G works just fine. Camera is awesome the picture is amazing no complaints here

 • No offense Ltech but it doesnt say it is DUAL GSM or a Global phone, when used in it's intended market I have no issues. Except standard dead spots, but hey phone service for $30 a great. I will use wifi in my home to get the most out of my data. Just saying for it's price it is a well built phone. The camera and finger print reader works so amazing just to name a few standout features. Bottom dollar its a damn good value!

 • Use an earring

 • weathe calling option is there or not

 • It does not support 4G even when it says so. I am currently overseas and I have not been able to pick up anything over 2G. Here in South Africa there is 4G coverage everywhere but I am not able to used it with local networks. It works in the US for some reason.

 • Did this phone released in Malaysia yet?? Anyone...

 • The phone will support it,but if your area doesnt provide 4g connectivity you can

 • To all buyers of zte 6 inch phones the company are going make their new flagship phone axon it will come in no longer 2 sizes but 3.sizes a new 6 inch size can't wait for that one

 • Does this phone support 4G network in India anyone please

 • well then return it, it has a warranty

 • Go to Recovery mode and clear the cache. I had that problem and that fixed it :) Just don't do battery draining activities on it like Pokemon Go while it's charging. If you need help with getting to Recovery mode, I just replied to someone else's comment in here. It should be the latest one. Good luck.

 • If you have any charge left, turn the phone off. Next, while it is off,. Hold down the power and volume down buttons. Release as soon as it says ZTE. Once in recovery mode, navigate to clear cache using the volume rocker. It will ask you if you are sure, just say yes. Your phone should charge now :) I had that problem 2 weeks in. Just don't use battery draining apps or do huge processes while charging the device. Now if it's your battery.... Good luck, take it to MetroPCS. Hope I helped.

 • Actually since apple decided to use this method for their sim cards its become quiet popular with manufactures. Should you ever lose your tool a small paper clip will do the trick or just ask your local phone store for one I can tell you from personal experience there are always 20-30 just laying around as technically apple and some others prefer you not to give the tool to the customer and are in the box to help the store agent to set up your device. Though you can never seem to get rid of them give one away and ten more apear

 • I have had it for a month and it won't charge

 • Gms

 • Are using the supplied tool to open the slot for sim & SD card? It's most likely very difficult unless u have the little tool. Stupid design if u ask me...

 • No I haven't had any problems with mine so far. I love this phone and for the price its unthinkable what you get.

 • Is it work on CDMA?

 • I have the same issue with the screen blinking and also have a serious lag. so I looked at the systems info and it says it's set up to have an octacore but only has 7 processors and revised to use only 4 but actually only uses 3. I think it might be a manufacture deffect

 • This phone is said running on 6.0.1 marshmallow version So , Can't I move apps , data, pics everything to ad card from Zte zmax pro ?

 • I purchased this phone two months ago and love it. I came from a Moto X (2014) and this phone is just as good (if not better). It runs buttery smooth and has no lag or issues whatsoever. Great great buy!

 • It's a safety feature for it to stop charging when extremely hot so battery won't overheat and explode

 • Does anybodys Zmax pro get really hot, screen glitching, and for some reason the phone says its fully charged at around 80%? Any solutions? I hard reset the phone when it got stuck in a boot loop and temporarily solved my issues until it started again.

 • I know my mines gets really hot too and makes the phone very laggy. i try not too use it often in hot places. Especially on 95 degree weather. im afraid it might blow up one day.

 • I am buying this phone on Friday and you just have to reset the phone it's a common glitch on all phones

 • It's actually next to the sim card

 • while this is my first android!i like it i do have problems with video play. but i understand it is a sole marshmallow problem! other than that i would rate security and unit better than any apple i ever used

 • Android 5.0 was Lollipop fwiw

 • Yes the same thing happened to me.

 • Hi, did any of you got the error on your phone : you have DISABLE A REQUIRE PERMISSION, when you try to save a contact on your phone, call my carrier today and they told me its a defect on my phone software on the contacts apps and that I have to do a master reset!!!! any of you got this error?

 • they shouldve given you a silver key to use on the right top corner slot gently push it in and the slot should open

 • This phone has a gyroscope and I can confirm it works with Google Cardboard VR. However, apparently it's large size is bigger than some of the Cardboard viewers. The larger size also means you can't easily use the phone in one hand and type/ click on things across the screen. I guess I'll get used to that, it's not really the phone's fault. ZTE is not well known in the US, so I think this phone is intended to get the brandname out there. It's really selling well. At its price point, it carries a lot of value.. The larger RAM, great camera, etc. Not to mention, I couldn't even FIND another Metro Pcs, gyroscope enabled phone in this price range, except for older highend models with much smaller screens, less Ram, and generally outdated. (Ie- Saturn S5) ONE WARNING! Be aware that it doesn't use the standard miniUSB cords, and you WILL damage the phone if you try to use one of those cords with it. It looks similar, but the right kind has a plug-tip end that is shaped like an oval, and can be plugged upside down without any issues. It's called a type-C jack, the manual says to only use "ZTE APPROVED" cords/chargers with it. I advise that buying the phone from a store will often permit them to give you the advertised rebates instantly.. Mine cost $99 after rebates (before service). So more money to spend on the proprietary charging cables.

 • I bought this phone for my daughter. Everyone's experience is going to be different. You may end up with a broken phone or not. But same goes with ANY phone manufacturer, most people might have a good experience, but not all end up being perfect phones. This phone is amazing for the price. It has an amazing camera, the screen is vibrant and beautiful, it runs amazing and is just an overall great phone. I use a note 5 myself. I absolutely love the note phones... The note 5 is the best phone I have ever owned, I upgrade sometimes 1-3 times a year and so far the 5 is the best I've had. Anyways, the zmax pro can give my note a run for it's money. You can get it really cheap at Metropcs with a new account or upgrade for only $99 dollars or I think $170 full price. Even at full price its cheap. If you want an amazing phone and don't want to pay $800 (that's around what my note cost) but want an amazing phone, buy this one.

 • don't buy the phone it will fry and belive me when i say that mine just fried and wont turn back on!!!!!!!!!

 • It was, but now it's Ghana

 • Volume down and power button

 • please i just want to know if ZTE Zmax Pro is available in Ghana?

 • It goes along inside the same tray as the Sim card inside the phone. Youll neen a sim ejector tool or a small paperclip.

 • Hi ! I just want to ask if this ZTE Zmax Pro is available here in the Philippines? Because I can't wait to buy it now ! I didn't see this kind of Smartphone here in the philippines that this cheap and this beautiful phone .

 • Yes actually i have one and I'm in El Salvador

 • Does anybody know how I can add a microchip SD card into the phone ?

 • Volume down button and power button

 • How do you snap shot with this phone

 • Phone is locked to Metro for 3 months then they will unlock the phone if you wish. Not sure about globally?

 • This phone available at metro pcs is unlocked and can be used globally? Pls anyone help asap??

 • I got this phone unlocked, new on Ebay. I have had it for over a week, and must say this phone is AWESOME. I had a few problems getting AT&T sim card to work, but now all is great and I am very happy with my purchase. Great bang with bells and whistles for the buck!

 • You realize apple has no mobile devices with 3GB of RAM?

 • In regarding to the unlocking for metro pcs. A phone outright from MetroPCS WILL NOT be able to be unlocked until it has been on a service plan for 90 days with no lapse in payment. There is an unlock app that comes standard on all metro phones. Pretty cool.

 • I had the same connectivity problems with my Alcatel with metro. I don't know why it should have been set up.right from the office when I bought it but in my town phone service can be problematic and I don't have to go. I had the unlimited plan with metro. I called the metro customer service. They were Excellent! They went; No the settings n my phone and changed them while I was on the phone with them . I then no they had to preset some codes. If you like your phone and you can't get connected call the customer serviice. 24 hr metro line. Belvedere me they were very nice. Since I did that. I had no problems .it'd on the settings of your phone status.they will help you. I don't know why the syore could not do it right the first time but all is well now! Good luck.

 • Their phone pcs locked on pcs .......t mo sims will not work. ......it is locked to pcs only......... but i guess pcs Sim will work on T mo phone

 • Not really you have get a plan to activate the phone so you cant just purchase the phone and walk out. You would need to unlock i think but because your looking to use it on t-mobile but metro is basically t-mobile so you may not have to. Total for the phone including one month os metro service is $135 ( ZTE ZMAX PRO $99 + $30 PLAN + tax.) You can also port your number and get a major discount on the phone. In my area its $40 if you port from AT&T, Sprint, etc... I bought the unlock code but its been almost 24 hrs and still nothing. Beware that you may need to unlock and the phone and may take couple of days. What I am considering is buy a gophone (AT&T) sim kit for $10 then port the number to Metro get the ZMAX PRO for $40 plus the $30 plan then unlock for $5-$10 Ebay. Just get the phone for $90 - $100 maybe $110 for things unforeseen.

 • I've had this phone for about 12 hrs and coming from a galaxy note 4 since they were released, I'm impressed!!!! I've tried other replacements but this one rocks!!!!!! Great phone for the price.

 • Yes, buy an unlock from ebay. It's literally a couple of $$. They enter your IMEI into the system and then you run the unlock app that comes stock on the phone.

 • Hi all. I am on a tmobile plan and i was wondering would I just be able to buy a metropcs zmax pro and slide a tmobile sim card into it?

 • The ZTE Zmax Pro from Metro PCS does support Fast Changing, or quick charge. I saw it in a video by Paul Tech. He showed what happens when u plug a fast charging cable into the phone when it's off, it says fast charging at the top of the battery icon when it's in. There's also a message tht pops up when ur phone is on and u plug the fast charging cable slightly into the port, it says to "plug the cord in all the way for a fast charge, it's only charging normally." So the phone does in fact, have fast charging, it just doesn't say it on this website or at Metro.

 • this phone is great . no problems at all. and the price is what i think is reasonable.

 • i had problems with the red connection since the firts week i went to metro pcs and they told me to expand my data so i got the unlimited after that nothing is been change i have to reset the phone at least ones a day i went back to the store with the internet not working and they told me that i had the data off but they did turn the data off and back on to make it work. and i have the same connection problems at home even if i am sitting next to my moden and i do have a good internet package

 • The ZTE Zmax Pro does not support dual-SIM

 • Hey there, Here's an answer to your question: with Marshmallow 6.x, you don't "move apps" to the SD card. Instead, you need to format and mount your sd card to your phone in the storage menu, and then it will expand your storage overall and the card will behave like normal storage. It's more convenient when set up, just make sure you don't cheap out on your sd card because it can be more difficult problem to fix if the sd card breaks!

 • Hey everyone, Does anybody know if this phone supports dual sim cards? Couldn't find that info on the specs page. TIA

 • I had the same problem just one week later after the purchase and Metro pcs didn't solve a thing. I seriously regret getting this phone

 • Are you still having the same problem?

 • You cant move apps to the sd card anymore. It was disabled in Android 5.? i dont remember the name tho, ice cream cone maybe? im pretty sure 6 called marshamallow.

 • Had this phone for 6 days. Speaker went out, metro pcs gave me the runaround, instead of giving me a new phone immediately I had to go to the warranty store where I was advised that since it was a new phone I would have to wait a few days for a new one. What kind of customer service is that?

 • i cant figure out how to move apps to my sd card

 • This is an impressive phone but... I got a lemon! I couldn't download apps from the google play store so took it back to my local Metropcs store and after trying for an hour to fix it said that they'd have to do the factory rest. The store was great and made a real effort but after an hour I again couldn't download apps. Beware! I don't need a smart phone if I can't download apps!

 • I've got it through straight talk for TracFone wireless Inc. and it's working fine. So far I have absolutely nothing to complain about.

 • Yes

 • Samsung Galaxy Note 7?

 • no, it doesnt have it, its only 99 usd

 • yes its real man!

 • How can I get this phone in Nigeria?

 • Hello does it have wireless charging

 • r u serious ?!

 • It has no dual-band wifi so 2,4Ghz only!

 • It does have Gyro for all you Pokemon go users

 • Mine doesn't find the 5ghz band either. I've asked the same question but get no answer

 • Hello everyone First of all its great phone On tge zte website say the phone support wifi frequency 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, 2.4GHz & 5GHz I have the phone but is not finding the 5G wifi connection ? Can anyone tell me about the Question

 • It is only offered through Metro PCS in the United States as far as I know.

 • No.

 • Is there any hopeof getting this awesome phone in Nigeria??

 • Plz launch it India

 • its not even out yet...i havent gotten it on my nexus 5x. And i come out way first on nexus devices

 • First let me say, I like this phone and I give this phone a 8 out of 10. Pros: Great display, performance is great, SD card slot, great battery life, very easy to use, fingerprint scanner works great, 32gig on board storage, good build quality, great sound quality when using Bluetooth/wired headphones/built-in ear piece. Cons: The stock launcher is not the greatest, the speaker is very low when playing music/ringtones/notifications even at max volume setting, but is loud when using as speakerphone. All in all load a different launcher like Nova, and for $99 this phone is a winner. It's only on MetroPCS so limited to the world.

 • Can i use this mobile in india and who type network carrier use...

 • Zte plz launch it in India plz plz plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

 • does this mobile release for Middle East ?

 • It means we can not use in India

 • Can I use this on boost mobile?

 • You do have to buy the first month service with MetroPCS when you buy the phone - $30/$40/$50. (Or, if you already have MetroPCS, pay a $15 upgrade fee.) And, if you don't live where MetroPCS runs, it's not available.

 • Only if you have MetroPCS over there.

 • it is mean Can we use it in Iran?

 • Comes with SIM in the box

 • It means that it has a sim port to put in the sim card for your service carrier.

 • what does that mean of : SIM: Yes

 • Android N isn't out yet.

 • I don't think ZTE update their phones If I think right and they don't this phone is a failure cause Android N is out why would you buy a new phone with old Android version?

 • Got 1...... Mirrors to tv

 • Go and take it .. released yesterday

 • Just bought it before 1 hour Screen resolution is perfect and I will see about the battery life....awesome phone for 130$ ....good deal

 • it can mirror a TV, don't be an idiot. USBC to micro USB adapter USB to HDMI adapter put two and two together and you have your Android screen on your television

 • It is a MetroPCS exclusive phone, so it does use T-Mobile's network.

 • I cannot wait for this phone to come out! I'm so excited! I'm buying this FOR SURE!

 • iam buying one for sure

 • Not hml compatible.. Can't mirrorto TV..grr

 • According to Yes,yes it can.

 • Literally a small tablet that you can make phone calls and has good camera, good ram and snapdragon.Worth the prize.

 • Id it hml compatible?

 • Wish I had the money. I would buy this.

 • its $99 for what its got in it ill buy one!!

 • anyone no if this will comeing to europe??

 • How about the processor, does snapdragon 430 can compete with 617?

 • Is it 100$ cause it's operator or its a global 100$ phone? And is it global or only for some countries? Thanks

 • I am excited for this, will try and get it unlocked so I can use some prepaid besides metropcs

 • Non of it's config can call "Pro".

 • I like this but if I had about 100€ to spend, I would still buy Redmi 3s. It has all important sensors (this one lacks gyro which is pretty basic but important for phones), a bigger battery although it is much smaller and a way better design IMO.

 • yes. This is faster than my Xperia m4 aqua which I bought last year for 279€

 • Maybe that will be Zmini Pro :)

 • Can i purchase this mobile in india and what is network carrier like tmobile,at@t pls reply

 • hi guys, is it compitable with indian bands? band 1800 is for india right?

 • Thanks for the info :)

 • If the 3G and 4G bands listed are correct then NO, it will not work in Europe.

 • Can you tell me, is this phone work in Bulgaria?

 • Do you guys think the phone will have a clear front facing camera? I don't want the pictures to be blurry and look airbrushed.

 • Does this phone have a gyro?

 • I'm reading conflicting reports across the internet, does anyone know if this phone has a gyroscope? Other sites say it does, some don't. I'm just asking because I want to play AR mode in Pokemon Go.

 • ZTE must launch 4.3 variant of this model in same hardware and price. No phone in 4.3 inch available and handy phone still liked by consumers. Hope it will sale like hot cake.

 • Very great cheap phone with nice design

 • Anyone know what type SIM (mini/micro/nano) and Single or Double SIM Card ? SD Card Slot? Hybrid or Dedicated? Thanks.

 • but can you play Pokemon Go on it? I'm assuming no from the lack of a gyroscope on the sensor list

 • Don't be a snob. You are ignorant if you think that everyone wants a sd820. This phone sounds promising.

 • That is not true. I've had Verizon and AT&T. Just visit metropcs.com and take a look. I made the switch two years ago and haven't looked back. Metro PCS Rocks! They have great phones. Stop Bashing.

 • Which better compare to Xiaomi Mi max.

 • Non-Removable battery makes it a no for me.

 • This phone is not unlocked, for MetroPCS only. Metro PCS is prepaid phone company, everything cheap phone overthere....Lol....

 • I have checked the metro site and their saying that the phone goes with fast charging and includes a 1.0 fast charger but gsm areana is saying no fast charging. Can any one confirm.

 • dude the spec is more than enough for this price. Its so sad that you need snapdragon 820 & 4/6 GB at this price.

 • You want a phone with 3 or 4 or 6 gig of ram and sd820? Look at the price first. This is not a flagship phone or mid range phone.. It's a good phone for the price of 100dollars.. Go buy a phone with higher-end specs and price.. Dnt complain if u dnt want this phone then dnt buy it.!!

 • because this phone only $99

 • With a good price it could be fair phone. Do you know some people looking for a big phone with reasonable price and average specs. This is it. Look at Lenovo Phab. 150 eur for a 6,8 inch screen with average specs. And it sells it self like hot bread. I know what i am talking about. I am a manager of a company which sells phones and accessories

 • Care to think about the price? Try to find a phone with this specs at $99

 • Settle down, this is only $99.

 • Are you serious? There are many phones with 6 inch screen or higher with good specs like Huawei Mate 8, Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro (2016) and LeEco Le Max to say couple of them.

 • Any time a company decides to release anything 6 inches or above it has sh*tty specs. Why can't they release a flagship with something like a 6.2 inch screen? Is it that difficult?

 • You gotta know that's not really gonna be the design...

 • Very bad, 6.0 inch but 2GB Ram,why not 4/6GB ram and 128gb internally,and maybe use Snapdragon 820

 • ZTE, are you living in stone age??? 3G RAM is minimum! Zmax Pro looks horrible! You need to learn from Apple or Xiaomi.

 • Too Big. 2 Gb Ram Only..
