wait at least 30 minutes for the phone to charge. It happened to me but this helps it. By half an hour it should be charge around 10% or so. Dont use the phone otherwise it drain quickly. Hope this helps

This phone worked great at first, but as time went buy I experience so many problems that drove me mad. Phone wouldnt turn on, broken microphone, back camera not working, crashing apps, battery drains so fast. Not really the kind of phone I would recommend somebody to buy. Totally not the best phone I've ever had

I've had this phone for two years. Pro's: I've got a 64GB SD card in it and it works just fine. Despite only having 1GB of ram it still loads up most things pretty quickly and I very rarely get app crashes. Con's: The battery! After a year it started to need charging twice a day, after two I'm now charging three times a day. For my next phone I will definitely get one that has a removable battery. The 4GB of on board data is the biggest issue that I have with this phone, it's just not enough, even for basic usage. It came pre-loaded with quite a few things that cannot be uninstalled you can only delete the updates to claw back a bit of space. I only use a handful of apps and the on-board storage is constantly full despite having it set to SD storage by default.

Ive had this phone for almost a year now. I think it is a pretty amazing phone for the price, good camera and display. Ive dropped it plenty of times and there wasnt even a sign of cracks At times it can be slow but over all a good phone if you are on a budget

That was also my problem late last year. I went to Acer serfvice center twice because it kept on coming back (blue light). Thanks to their advice which is keep my phone at least 30% battery. I don't let it lowbat anymore. Since then, my phone is fine. However, another problem arised, back camera is not working...

I bought an Acer E3 six months ago. At first I was pleased with it but after about two months the battery would not held a charge for any length of time. My use is minimal and frequently after charging to full the battery would last less the 12 hours despite little or no use. Then on30 December thr phone bleeped three times, Informed me that AcerHome had stopped working and then died. I have tried to revive it using information Gleaned from You Tube but the phone remains obstinately dead. In my opinion the Acer E3 is unfit for purpose and I would advise anyone thinking of buying one to look elsewhere.

My friend has the e3 and sadly has one more year on contact as the phone is poor in battery and memory the top button gave up 6 months ago and some times the contacts do a disappearing act after a phone call so it was the first and last acer phone for him.CHEAP BUT NOT CHEERFUL 👎👎😕.

Awful phone. Doesn't hold a charge for more than a day at best. The only redeeming feature is the camera, which is very good. But the battery is so poor you can't take it out with you on a walk and get a lot of pictures without the battery dying. Very poor internal memory, 4gb. And, with Android, you can't move most of the apps across to SD. It simply won't allow them to be stored on SD. So, pointless, you can't have many apps on the phone at all. Would be a great phone if it had larger memory and better battery life. Disappointing, only had it for a year, am getting rid and swapping it, even though I've got a year left on contract.

My Acer liquid E3 E380 doesn't hold a charge, goes from 100% to 0% in about three hours and that is when I am not even using it. I reported it to Acer. I was advised to fully charge it then let it go to 0%, I was told to do this four times then it will be fixed. Well I have done it about thirty times and it still doesn't hold a charge. I have been trying to get hold of Acer for about three months, they never answer my emails,texts and phone calls. I am stuck with this phone for another year. I have told all my friends not to get anything made by Acer.

Terrible Terrible Terrible phone! Slow, constantly crashed completely forcing me to click OK on 15+ error messages before you could finally restart the phone which then took an absolute age to start up. The quick launch button for the camera on the rear they go on about is only any good for taking 600 photos of the inside of your pocket! The camera was terrible at focusing. Every time it was updating apps it becaume so slow it was USELESS, you couldn't even make a call, speaking of calls it sometimes wouldn't even do that, you would press the call button and it would just not bother and all you would hear is silence! Worst phone I have ever owned!

Was a great phone to start with, loved it! After about 8 months I began having major problems related to app crashing issues, the lock screen crashing, a flickering screen, etc. After sending it off TWICE to be repaired by Acer (the first time they thought they could get away with a software update which did absolutely nothing). The second time they replaced the whole main board which did fix the crashing issues. I'm now having to cope with charging problems (not the charger, assuming the charging port or something internal) and the microphone (the bottom one, not the camera one) being completely broken, preventing me from using the phone for calls or using apps that use it like music searching apps. It's not worth being without a phone for 3-4 weeks (they say it'll be 1-2 but don't trust them) just to receive it back and have yet another issue with it, I won't be buying another Acer phone again unless it is supposed to be seriously good and reliable.

While it is a decent phone, I've had ridiculous problems with it that acer haven't even fixed. I've had it for just over a year and about 5 months ago I started having problems. I have very serious app crashing issues which my technical friend believes to be issues with the RAM or storage. It happens 5-15 times a day and requires a restart to get the phone running properly. I also have issues with a flickering screen. And it currently won't turn on whatever I try, it's not been turning on for about 12 hours now, I only received it from "repair" two days ago and if anything it's got worse. All acer did was a "software update". I shall not be buying from acer again, it is a faulty phone.

Have you updated your firmware to kitkat as there should be one available and have you tried clearing the cache in recovery mode.

The only good thing about that phone is the front facing light and the camera as for the build quality poor memory that is expandable but not by much and poor support and when in recovery mode it was in pure Chinese and the home/power button gave up after three months so for the same sort money then the moto x is by far the better phone.

I have owned my Acer Liquid E3 for about 11 months. Recently the touch screen stopped functioning properly so I had it repaired by Acer. The whole experience was a nightmare (they sent the phone to the wrong factory) and I was without a phone for 3 weeks.This is the second piece of Acer equipment I have bought and they look good but are not reliable. And the customer service is the worst I have seen for any company in the world.

Yes! I have to be really careful when I use my phone for a phone call as it once left a burn mark on my ear lobe. I normally just use loud speaker cause it's less painful.

You can use an app like Link2SD to move files from your internal memory to the SD card. If you create symoblic links you can get even further and run pretty much anything on your phone. Plus if you pay for the app you get the ability to move /data/ files to SD too. You can get past most problems if you are willing to root your phone. I've done it myself.

That's also what I thought, but it's true. You can move apps to the SD card, I have to say that not all the apps are moveable(?), like messenger but most of the apps can be moved to the SD card.

Quite a good phone. Camera and sound is perfect for me. The problem is the internal memory. You can't use up your SD card no matter how huge or even if you move all your apps there. If the internal memory comes down to 300mb or less, you can't install any more applications coz it still needs to consume some from the internal memory. Battery is okay. It doesn't heat up that much, just normal.

I've been using this phone for about a week now and I'm really happy with it. Some people wonder if storage is a problem, well I can tell you for me it's not a problem. I've downloaded a couple of apps like snapchat, 9gag,... and you can move the apps to your sd card so you can use the 4gb memory for text messages and things like that. This phone is really fast, the 1gb ram is enough to do the normal things like browsing, chatting, gaming etc. I'm not really sure if you can play the real high grafic games as I'm not that type of gamer. Battery life is also quite good, I need to plug in the charger about every 2 days even if with 3g on. The screen is really sensitive, for me it's something I like, but it's a personal opinion. I think for some people it's maybe a little to sensitive. Call quality is also good contrary to what I read here. So I'm happy with this phone, it's a really good phone in this price range and I would certainly recommend it.

if you have not already resolved this issue or returned the handset, try going into settings>manage apps (whatever its called, i dont have the phone this is a generic android fix), go to 'all apps' find camera and go to it, then clear data, maybe restart the phone and hopefully this will resolve the camera issue, good luck mate.

I have had this phone a year now, and I have loved using it. The rear facing camera is really good at 13mp,and the front camera has a very useful flash too. The screen is really smooth and fast to text on, and the printed photos are really on par with more expensive phones. The only thing I found annoying several times in the year, is the blue screen effect with Chinese or foreign language, but it can be set within a few seconds and back to normal. I love the easy interface, and it charges up really quickly. I would recommend this over many far more expensive phones that almost have the same features. It only has 4gb internal memory that is swallowed up easily, but a memory card easily remedies this . I would give this phone 8 and half out of 10.it is very hard-wearing too.

I have this phone for 9 month now, for the gps the 1st thing to do is to download the last version of android. (Note that before, test the gps in activating all gps option for better fix in your gps parameters(full precision GPS,A-GPS,...)). So if the android update don't resovle the gps problem, download gps fix app : "GPS test" and " GPS status" : for me, before the update, these app have resolve my gps fix problem. and now the fix is about instant or few second. This happened to me. I was using a USB charger that provided a little under the normal 5V - using a full 5V charger worked however. The low voltage charger only failed when the phone was extremely low on power; all other times it worked. Try an alternate charger.

Wipe data and cache data or factory reset. You've installed something stupid and the phone is telling that to you! You forgot to mention that, right? Sorry for the data you are going to loose...hopefully you backup-ed. You can do that in bootloafing mode. Search the key combination for your phone on google.

Hi, I bought in the summer a acer e3 duo liquid plus, after 1 month the 2nd sim card slot said there is none in it, but there is. Have other of you experienced the same problem? i tried to find a solution for it, like reset and it did not work. Updated to kitkat but it got slower, facebook and hotmail app was not working. Even with 2 gb ram it becomes slower. the con is only the sim card slot is not working. Are anyone of you experience the same problem?

Hi, I bought Acer e3 duo liquid this summer. A 16gb dual sim. After 1 month the second Sim card slot says no-sim card on it and there is one there. I have search for solution but there is none. If someone has the same problem please leave message. After update to kitkat facebook and email did not work so good. It becames a little slower even with 2gb ram. And the email hotmail app did not work good. Thank you.

I got this phone a bit over a month ago. pros: -you won't find a better camera for the price. -the screen looks amazing and vibrant cons: -Fairly slow 3G. -Horrible signal. -GPS is a joke, it's only found my location twice. The rest of the time it's either looking for it for ages (while completely draining my battery) or it shows i'm miles away from where I actually am. -Sometimes it fails to even show the correct time. I've been late for work because of that. -The battery icon is rubbish. If you don't charge your phone to 100% and it's lets say at 20%, take it as more of a 2%. The minute you start using this phone, the battery icon will turn into a countdown. I've seen it dropping from 11% to 0% in under 2 minutes. -It freezes for no reason. When I'm using apps or games it's working great but sometimes, after unlocking it, it becomes unresponsive for about 5 minutes giving me a dead black screen and showing absolutely no signs of life. -The included charger takes around 6 hours to fully charge it which is ridiculous. I'm using a different one now which takes only 2 hours. -If you buy this phone, when you open the package, find the included headphones and bin them instantly. I've never ever used worse headphones. They make my ears feel clogged, like I'm listening to the music my neighbour is playing next door with my ear pressed against the wall. Literally. -Very little storage. I've only downloaded 2 games and it's full. -Screen light alternates between dim and bright all the time for no reason. -Power save mode doesn't seem to go off. Even if you turn it off, you'll often get a message asking you to "please turn the power save mode off". I really regret buying this phone. Very inconsistent and I can't even trust it with the time. If I could afford a new one, I would throw it away instantly.

I've had this phone a week and so far I'm loving it. Takes great pictures, sound quality is OK and internet is way faster than my old Samsung galaxy ace. Only downside, the headphones are rubbish, using my old Samsung headphones and they work great.

Just got this phone; literally I've only had it for a day. Front camera is aabsolutely amazing! I don't know how to post pictures on this site but i took a picture of the little strands of fabric on my sofa and it focused and everything. The back facing camera, used for selfies is pretty bad to be honist. Nice looking phone apart from the red bits round the front. Easy to use yet ssometimes the keypad plays up. Im writing this review on the phone so any mistakes, iIapologise. Its annoying how each time iI press a letter the phone vibrates but Ithink that can be sorted in settings. Apps like fFacebookand amazon . the reason why Ibought this phone is bbecause i wanted something to take photos and text friends and family wwhilst on hholiday and Ithink it will fit that roll nnicely. I have a iiPod and iPad to use because am going to not download any games on this phone to save memory for pics.

Worst phone i have ever owned firstly the battery life was really bad thought i had a faulty phone took it back to store and the gave me another one. Same thing again even if you switched off everything in background such as apps , wifi , bluetooth and data connection still was terrible . when using it to make call if you where on phone for about 6 mins you could feel the phone heating up. So when you did want to use the internet or for facebook the battery drained like a child with a milkshake on a hot summers day so you had to plug it on charge after about 10 to 15 mins but if you carried on using it plugged in it would overheat very quickly and the overheat warning would come on screen so you had to switch it off. until finally came in from work switched the phone off as normal as mobile signal bad in my house when i went to switch it back on it was dead total time had phone including exchange was 8 weeks only thing what was good on it was the camera as it did take good pictures on the 13mp save your money or dont even take one if they offer you it in a contract steer clear of this useless pile of junk

I had screen shots and Bluetooth photos and now both files have disappeared from GALLERY. I did take my phone in to the shop where I got it due to the battery lasting just hours, the assistant turned off all notifications on the apps I don't use, this did increase the battery efficiency but I fear something else was done in error. I can no longer take screen shots, phone keeps saying unable, check storage. I have done this and storage is fine. Has anyone got any ideas please.

If you can afford it go for the acer liquid e3 duo plus, same specs as above except for an extra £50GBP you get 16Gb internal memory and 2gb Rom. I've been using for 6 weeks now and its brilliant. My only irk is the stock camera app doesn't serve the camera well. Install some third party camera apps and your good to go. No memory worries and the Rom can handle so much, big thumbs up

Thanks god, the version that is sold in my country is the "Plus" one. With 16GB internal memory I don't need microsd card for mainstream apps and some music. the bigger 2GB RAM is the biggest selling factor. Because many local brands in my country use the same SOC, but crippled it with 1GB RAM or worse 512MB RAM.

2 months of using these phone. pro: smart to use for bizz , intuitive , nice look, premium camera. con: small batery, if u don't use SD card space for apps , u will block the phone, bad comection whith blue headset( coud be the headset , even is plantronics), no accesoriers available, the jack of wireled heaset blocked in the phone at firs use, something keep tthe jack inside, very hard to pull out.

For the price 180� is a very good phone. Some extra interesting - Acer SnapNote, float call, float buttons. Very solid. The sound - good. The position (frontal) is a great. The right size for my hand. Just have bigger phones, but is difficult to use in some situations (send messaging for example). Upgrade immediately, after initial configuration, for Android 4.4. Cons: Battery life - the normal, not the best. Time to charge is a bit long. Internal memory 4Gb is a limitation, but with a SD Card solve the problem.

I just got the dual sim version yesterday in HK & it sports a 16Gb internal memory & 2 Gb of RAM. It's cheap at HK$ 1.5K. My initial experience is that it's fast & buttery smooth with no lag whatsoever. Camera is very decent & the flash in front is a nice add-on.

Yes, it plays Dead Trigger perfectly. I just played it for about half an hour. It heats up a bit around the camera on the back (probably where the CPU/GPU is) and drains the battery very rapidly but there's no lag, very smooth gameplay. Quite an intense game btw, thanks for the tip :)

I'll assume many commenters around here never even used the phone.. Anyhow, it is in fact a very good device. I've used it for about 2 weeks now (upgraded from Xperia GO) and must say it's performing nicely. The battery lasts me a full day (frequent mail checking, about an hour of resource intensive gaming, whatsapp, occasional texting/calls, some browsing,... - all in all above average use). I'm using Buzz Launcher with no lag whatsoever. I did soft-brick it (faulty Titanium backup) when I just got it but factory resetting in recovery mode was a walk through the park. There's a lot of bloatware but that's easily disabled (plus, not all of that Acer crap is bad). The screen is bright and sharp, the wide aspect is awesome for gaming/watching movies. Camera quality is OK and shoots very fast thanks to the button on the back, the front cam with flash is a nifty feature but I don't really use it (not a fan of selfies). The sound from the front speakers is superb compared to most phones. Two minor aspects are the lack of NFC and 4G (LTE). If you're looking for a reasonably priced phone and don't need those latest technologies (do you really?) you're getting a lot of awesomeness without annihilating your wallet. Keep in mind you can buy 3 of these until you got to the price for one of the latest flagship devices of other brands! >_

Received this phone as a contract phone on 3.. the guy in the shop knew nothing about it as they had just got them in ?? likely story, I digress.. I charged it up all night long and had a 100% battery in the morning and I was ready to register the phone. It crashed... Just got this phone, but I seem to be experiencing problems when trying to get the phone to "always ask" when making a call. sometimes it asks, but most times it just automatically selects which sim to call from. I have changed all the call setting to "always ask" and I even cleared all my contacts from both sim cards and moved them to the phone. I even tried switching one sim off and using the other, but then the phone forces me to switch the sim on before it will allow me to call certain contacts. I think this might be a glitch or maybe im just missing something...

the xperia m2 has lte support and costs in germany 279 �, the e3 will come in plus version with 2 GB ram, 16 GB rom for 249�, without LTE. So both should be good and you should choose depending on if LTE is important for you. I wonder why the M2 has no "PlayStation Certification" and if this means that the touch is laggy...

I wonder if Acer fixed that 4gig onboard memory management fiasco that is on the Liquid E2 Let me remind you - they partinioned the 4gig so there is only 800meg available for your apps, but there is still a unusable blank 1.6gig on the phone Not all apps can be moved to the SD card - no response from Acer about this during the past year on many forums - they basically crippled the phone If they fixed it for this phone, it should be available for the E2 as well Otherwise stay clear - Acer support suck
