  • well, if there's one common thing for smartphones, the updates work better when you reset the phone after updating it, but that's a bit hassle iOS 13.2 will be released sometime today, so try it and it might fix the issues on your phone

  • Great phone, been using it for past year with no problems until OIS 13 upgrade all sorts of problems . One example, the video play freezes but only after I pause, play works. There are lots of minor problems, screen just go blank while reading. I've never restarted this phone so many times until the software upgrade. Just not working great no more.

  • not sure why it's happening on yours. I'm running mine on 13.1.2 at the moment and wireless hotspot works just fine. try it connected to your laptop. see if it connects that way.

  • No, personally Samsung has better options that's up to date. I had my 7 plus since 2017 and now that I have a Samsung S9, it's better in a lot of ways. If the S9 isn't the price or not just want you like, than I recommend the Samsung A20.

  • I did and it's a great phone. been using it for a couple of weeks now. coming from the 6 Plus, this phone is a great upgrade. very snappy in multitasking, quick to open apps, basically smooth performance overall. one thing though, the battery life is not great. it only lasts me a day and I'm not even a heavy user. just online usage ang text messaging. so if you need something for gaming, it can perform well but battery life's gonna be a big issue.

  • Price could be a thing, but Camera Pixel don't matter, its just a marketing number these days. A human eye can't differentiate a 6X10 sized photo whether its 4 MP or 5 MP. Just look at Nikon or Cannon flagship camera, they are barely 20 MP.

  • battery life on 13.1.2 is not the best. 1 hr 34 mins screen on time for 50% of battery life. used it mostly online (social media, email, and messenger), some text messaging, and a bit of music.

  • This is the worst phone I have had to date. I have been an iPhone user for many years now and this has been the phone to finally convert me elsewhere. It has shutdown four times, by that I mean the phone has become nonresponsive, by refusing to charge and turn on. I took it to Apple each time. The first time they told me it was an issue with the logic board in which case it could not be repaired but only replaced. They gave me what was definitely a second hand phone regardless of their denial to that fact and within two weeks of the first incident it happened again, the exact same thing, they told me it was battery failure. The last two times the genius bar employee admitted he's never seen this issue before and then decided that it was something I was doing, alas I left having bought a new charger for about forty pounds and a month later here I am waiting for the genius bar employee to tell me yet again that I'm going to have to wait 3-4 days for them to order in an iPhone 7 plus because they no longer hold stock of them in store, absolutely raging.

  • Hi regarding the software, if I will based on IPhone 5s, from IOS 6, it can still run IOS 11 the last upgrade I made, but,still notifying me that it can update to IOS 12. that is way 2013(IOS 6) to 2018(IOS 12) or 6 yrs and still counting. so, we can assume that for now, that it will support til the last Iphone 7 is working, that it can update and support, until they announce that they will no longer support it.

  • A50 is out the question. You can’t go wrong with either of the remaining two. P30 lite has a modern design. Camera quality is better on 7plus but not much. The p30 lite camera is nice for everyday use. Emui is smooth no lag. I use 7plus so if you dont mind the bezel like me and can use ios its a better choice. Bear in mind that 7plus has only 2years of software update left tho. So p30 lite might be a better choice if you plan to use it for more than 2years. 👍🏾

Yes i have dropped the phone and broken the display, but it's a different story. And... 50000 indian rupees roughly equals to 700US Dollars and that's a way higher price tag for an iphone 7 plus 32gb model (in my opinion). I don't know if iphones are overpriced in India, but 700$ for 32gb? That's too much for a 2016 phone. (32gb isn't going to be enough in the long run specially since you're planning to use the phone for couple more years at least). I recon you think twice about buying the iphone 7 plus for that much money. Iphone 7 plus isn't a bad phone, it'll probably be supported by Apple till 2021 and it'll keep functioning well. But there are Androids which appeal way more bang-for-buck for around 650$. In the end, it's your life, your decisions. If you like Apple's OS and prefer to have an iphone, go with the iphone 7 plus or 8 plus, whichever you like. Maybe you won't be thinking about the 50000k price tag since it's EMI and it's something you can spend easily. Just take care of your phone. If it's thieves you're worried about, idk, just have it in your pocket at public places and stay ALERT!

  • That for sure. You cant make any comparison with devices which were released on 2018 NOTE9 with devices released on 2016 7+.

  • You can't compare note 9 to iPhone 7 plus. Note 9 is far better than iPhone 7 plus. Better camera, S-pen to take note and photo, better and big screen, better battery life. My note 9, is absolutely friendly to use. For OS support, apple offer 5 year and samsung 3 year with 2 ot more years for periodical patch.

  • It is your choice. Iphone 7 plus give a natural picture ( true image ). For pixel 3a, google optimized it a little bit in the image. If your sister like a phone that can photoshop her selfie then go with google. On other hand, if your sister like true image go with iphone 7 plus. both phone give the same image quality except google pixel take night shot a little better.

  • To be honest if money is your concern then 7 plus is your best bet. It’ll last you AT LEAST 3 more years don’t worry about it. Btw I am fully aware that getting this phone through contract is vastly cheaper than just buying it directly but if you can save some money first then it is best to buy it rather than to get it by contract due to its good after sale value. You can sell it next year or next 2 years to get yourself a new phone.

  • I'm very disappointed. I paid a ton (still paying) for my 7plus and I no longer have a charge of more than 10 hours, even when I don't use my phone. I get up at 8 am, and by 4 to 5 pm my phone is redlined and dying, and by 6 pm, it's dead. I don't always have access to a charger and I expected more from this phone because of the price I paid. I watched a video on the battery replacement, and it's insane.. especially for someone who can't see tiny things. I will not buy another Apple. I'll move on to Samsung.

  • Having iPhone 7 Plus for over 15 months and then switching over to Samsung S9+, id say that the latter has given a splendid performance than the former one. Yeah iPhone 7+ portrait is way better than that of S9+, but S9+ too gives a good competition in terms of low light when ip7+ lags a lot. Obviously on Android; customizable, which i missed over a year on 7+. Overall both devices are great, only issue is that ip7+ heats a lot. Ive never come across any instance if S9+ getting heated. 1+ point to Samsung.

  • I "downgraded" from iPhone X to this phone last Christmas. Why? Because I feel I paid too much money for the X and it was already repaired once and I didn't want to loose $1000 by dropping or loosing or getting stolen. People complain about battery life, please search youtube how to improve it, there are a lot of things you can turn off in the options you don't know about, and yes, you gonna see your battery life improve greatly. This phone still beats any mid-range android devices in speed whatever android phones released in 2018 or 2019. The only phones beating this are the newer iphones, but there are compromises, like being too expensive or no fingerprint reader, too easy to break etc.

  • I have been using the 7 plus 32 GB mobile from Dec 2016. My Views about the phone: 1. Camera is decent but you cannot compare it with DSLR (In built photo shop is not available. You will be uncomfortable in the beginning since it does not take mirror images like other mobiles) 2. I will give 5 star rating for performance (Not hanged a single time from the date of purchase) 3. Battery back up is OK if you are a gamer (If you use it for browsing and for social networking then the backup is good) 4. Multi tasking is very good (I have opened all the 80 apps and then played Pubg, the response from the mobile is same) 5. No heating problem (Even if the mobile is heated after using it for 5-6 hrs continuously, just keep the mobile away for 5 min. It will be normal again) 6. It has edge over iphone 7 when it comes to reading books. If you are a reader and want to use it for spread sheets, pages, PPT etc, then go for 7 plus) 7. Portrait mode in camera is good but not excellent. 8 plus is better compared to 7 plus. 8. Siri response is ok. You cannot compare it with google assistant. 9. Use guided access properly instead of downloading third party apps like vault etc so that others cannot misuse it. It will result in saving space. 10. Takes minimum 1.5 to 2 hrs for complete charging. Don't expect it to get charged too quick. Hope it helps :)

  • It is definitely worth buying. It’s still a pretty fast phone. I upgraded to iOS 12 and it works better than iOS 11. I had to choose between iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone 7 Plus. I was in a store and compared them and I didn’t saw a very different experience. So I ended up choosing the 7 Plus because it’s cheaper. At least here in Europe it’s 150€ cheaper.

Front camera it’s decent enough. The screen for an LCD panel looks gorgeous. Great viewing angles. The battery it’s not the best in class but it’s good enough. Lasts for the entire day for sure. One thing that disappoints a little bit it’s the size of the bezels. Overall I totally recommend this device!

  • The iPhone 7 Plus speaker is the one on the right. The holes on the left, which look like speakers, are not really speakers - there are not anything and are there for symmetry. Your phone is completely fine

  • Sold my S7 Edge for iPhone 7 Plus and I don't regret it, not an Apple or Android fanboy I use what I like and for me the main priority in a smartphone now is a battery backup, I used to charge my S7 Edge twice a day amazing phone but I had to turn off Always On Display, Edge notifications, Location Services, Notification light to save my battery life, it's sad when you can't use all the perks in a phone I don't know why Samsung have to put them there in first place, on the other hand my iPhone 7 Plus giving me 40hours battery backup on a single charge and I don't have any complains, no customization though but no hassle in terms of performance, simple and smooth and I am loving it.

  • I personally love that they don't allow expandable storage. I'd hate to see a microSD card slot on an iPhone. iPhone is built based on security in mind, unlike thousands of dummy devices you call "smartphones" (most of them running a funny operating system called "Android"). Smartphones contains our sensitive data. By allowing expandable storage, they risk of being exposed. All you have to do is slide out the SD card and plug it into a computer to see someone's personal photos. Where's the "security" in that? Not only iPhones don't allow expandable storage, the internal NAND storage they has are hardware and software encrypted. Even if you physically removed one iPhone's NAND storage and connected it into another iPhone to read personal data, you won't get anything out. No matter what you do, it's still protected. That's why I love Apple.

  • I don't know if any app available to do that "on-phone", since I didn't occurred an event that I wanted that to happen. You can use common audio converters to convert MP3 file to a iOS tone file. I personally used "Syncios". Or you can use on of thousands apps available to download iOS ringtones. I'm sure the tone you're looking for might already be available in them.

  • Nice looking phone but display screen has cracked several times after slight falls; the screen had to be changed 3X and all stored data got erased as a result; most not stored in iCloud. Wish Apple would allow a card slot to put data on but they want you to purchase the more expensive model instead which stores more data.

  • Who cares about prolonging if you can charge the unit quickly once it gets low? Think about it, was the prolonged battery life an innovation? I don't think so! Many users opted to replace their unit every year or after 2-3 years. So Prolonged battery life isn't worth it if it's gonna be replaced by another handset. People all over the world do it. Did you know it in the first place?

  • For real life usage, people will charge using dock/charger at home, while when they hurry have the battery backup they will using a power bank during outdoors, so the charging speed is follow the Qualcomm 3.0 and it is still fast, but not crazy fast like those shortened the sealed battery lifespan even it has fastest charging method. If you don't care about sealed battery lifespan you can choose the super fast charge but don't be regret for battery aging faster as the same time.

  • LOL! I didn't plan on getting the note 7 even before the battery explosion fiasco. I was too busy with getting the Z5 premium dual. Sony on the other hand. Went on the QNOVO battery tech. Of course battery life expansion is good. But to slow down the charge of the unit is not so well come to everybody. Especially for those people who have no time to wait for their smartphones to fully charged which takes more than 2 hours. When it comes to battery replacements. Atleast apple is offering everybody for a battery replacement of their apple devices for a low cost so that the performance would be restored. Which is why it had far more support on older devices than other android handsets. Tell me. Has any android provider offered a battery replacement for a performance restoration? NO. Has any android provider offered a cheap repair cost for all android device? NO. After a year or 2. Will they accept and repair your android device? Base on my experienced? NO. So in the end. They are not so different from apple!

  • Xperia ZL has 2,300+ mah battery life which only takes 1hour and 30 min. to completely charge the phone. After 3 years of owning it. There was a sign that the battery is loosing it's capability. When I went to a nearby sony service center. I surrendered my unit for a repair that takes 2 weeks to repair. Since the replacement components would come from outside the country. After 2 weeks. I went back to the service center hoping that my unit was repaired. However, the agent who handled my case told me that the unit isn't repaired yet. And the replacement components was already out of the line production. So I get my xperia ZL and swapped it for the Z2. For 2 years. I was hoping that the Z2 would meet my necessities. However. The 5.2 display already bores me. So I swapped it again last year ang get the Z5 premium DUAL. With 4k display, and such. I thought I have a perfect phone for me. Till I heard the Samsung galaxy phones having a daydream VR and a dedicated VR support that has been available 2 years ago. Since the note 4 gear series. Then I learned that the sony haven't made any progress in mobile technology design. So I regret buying the Z5 premium dual! So Instead of swapping it. I plan to used the sony phone until it breaks down. After that I'm gonna buy other android phones than sony.

Like my Xperia Z2 already 3 years usage and don't have Qnovo but not need go for service or even replace the battery while iPhone likely to force user to replace a new battery to avoid any performance slowdown. I really don't know the service center and really no need to find one from my city, it is a pathetic for my phone or it is a really pathetic situation for a 2 years iPhone?!

  • Same happened to me with my new iPhone 6 32gb I got my iPhone with iOS 10.2.1 which is flawless and superb battery backup. Later updating to iOS 11 led to many issues like low battery all the time, lag in performance, taking 4hrs to full charge etc etc As the phone is brand new and which is in warranty, I took the mobile to apple care, which they also regret updating the device to the latest iOS. They were helpless in this matter and not possible to downgrade the iOS version.

What do you say about new iPhone 7 and 7 plus hardly used for months (3,4 months) with iOS 10.3.3 with superb performance and beast kind of battery back up and all of them gone with a single update i.e iOS 11 and still becoming worse till date with iOS 11.2.2. Is the problem with the new phone ?? Nor the sluggish update ?? Nor what ?? Have you ever notice apple releasing these many updates after a major release (like iOS 11). Updates like iOS 11, 11.0.1, 11.0.2, 11.1, 11.1.1, 11.1.2, 11.2, 11.2.1, 11.2.2 all shit for older models.

God cannot magically extend your life or replace your brain, heart or any other organ "OVER-THE-AIR". Getting a surgical operation done IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY. If you do, you may live a little longer. If you don't you will die. But if you were made to do things slower, be careful, stay in bed, use a wheelchair, then you may still prolong your life, which are things we do to prevent from dying unexpectedly. In case if you don't have enough money to do an operation, you would be more likely to do it if it was discounted like 50% off. Hope your brain could cope how the world, and how Apple works through my explanation. Next time you're going to make a stupid comment on internet, please be solid to your facts. Thank you... :)

  • A Gevey "unlocked" iPhone is essentially locked by nature. By updating iOS to a non-jailbroken version you risk losing the unlocked state. That being said, if you upgraded to an iOS version so latest, and if Apple is not signing the previous iOS restores anymore, you will be lost with the latest version. You WILL UNABLE to rollback to the previous version, making your iPhone in bricked state. IMEI unlocked/factory unlocked version does not have any kind of lock and you can use any and all SIM cards as long as the iPhone model supports it's band ranges. Other than that different, both Gevey unlocked iPhones and factory unlocked iPhones are same and identical in every way. P.S. some carriers allows the iPhone to be permanently unlocked after satisfying the contract with them. If so, you'll be able to unlock it from the carrier and doing so will make your iPhone permanently unlocked. Contact the locked carrier for more information.

  • Gevey's an "emulated/spoofed" unlock (NOT a permanent IMEI unlock) and has a risk of losing the unlock after updating iOS to a newer version.

  • Mohamed, 32 gb is not a lot of memory storage space. But it really depends on how you use your phone. If you are a person who lives a simplified, streamlined life, the 32 should be fine. But if you like to use lots of apps and especially if you like to store lots of music and videos on your phone then I recommend you go bigger. Apple is eliminating music downloads starting 2019, so everything you haven’t already stored on you device will have to be streamed. I’m not a fan of streaming due to data rates used while streaming. Can’t afford unlimited plans costs and have 5 in our family so streaming costs would break my bank. I bought the last gen 7 plus when they still offered 256 memory and love it! Go big or go home is my motto. Whatever works for you though. Good luck.

But it’s not actually, they just improved. the only thing I’m considering to deal with 8 plus is that they now have 4k@60fps which is an overkill for filming especially for those who loves to vlog. that’s an absolute upgrade. For still photography lot of people really appreciate that they now added more colour saturation for better and vibrant shots. (Improved) Battery??? It’s lesser but others claiming it’s endurance is almost the same or even lasting longer than 7plus. How about battery drain issues on the latest iOS update? iPhone X at its whooping $1000+ price. But is ok price for those who can simply get it.now at oled screen resolution. Bezelless screen to body ratio, (which is very common for Android smartphones(but apples newest and best design) Battery endurance that doesn’t even matches the endurance on ip8/7plus. Same camera specs with 8plus(except from its 2nd telephoto lens which has OIS as the one seen in the note 8). So yeah, I’d skipped the x this time despite of its nice design it still didn’t meet my expectation. From both software and hardware. So my choice lies between 8 & 7 plus which I ended up getting 7+. Why I personally compared with my friend who’s currently using 7+ and now owned one 8plus. If you will just carefully take a look on its side by side comparison in terms of camera quality there’s no really huge difference between them. But 8plus indeed had improved. It’s still photos are sharper and vivid while the 7 plus keeps its balance vivid color and true to life shots which is also present to 8 plus. But In most cases they just both look pretty similar. 8plus tends to be warmer. For video, yeah 4k@60fps surely beats 7plus on that capabilities. But their 4k@30fps is somewhat still comparable again the only thing that 8plus differs from 7plus is that it’s got more vivid color, saturation and contrast that makes it sharper. In the end, it all comes down in our personal preference. Peace out guys

  • I got your all points but truly speaking Apple is concerned about security only while releasing any iOS updates now and ignoring totally the battery issues. iOS 11.2 is one of the all examples. Admit this, Apple is not doing anything to address/fix Battery draining issue, and certainly won’t in Future. In my opinion Apple should have devised some mechanisms for its obvious/legitimate iPhone users to get downgraded to iOS 10’s any versions. iOS 10.3.3 is the best one till date. May be in your way battery performance with ios 11 is good enough, but why just good enough? With ios 10.3.3 battery is superb. Why battery is not working superbly with any iOS 11’s? Why such bit of compromise? Why Apple is not concerned about this woe?

  • You're missing the whole point in my comment. Okay, let's start simple. Let's say Apple just released iOS 11 (11.0.0). Both legitimate users/customers and hackers have access to it. Both uses them, while hackers in particular trying to find any flaws within the release in order to exploit them and extract personal information and such. Bear in mind the time-frames. Both parties, including the Apple Inc itself just seeing how the new release (in this case 11.0) performs. As the time goes when one party identifies a security flaw within the release, Apple Inc eventually become aware of it. If they were legitimate users, they probably directly report them. If they were hackers, eventually when the exploit spreads, Apple becomes aware (some times through hacking contests such as Mobile Pwn2Own). Now a new release (let's call it iOS 11.0.1) is being prepared patching the aforesaid security flaw. But Apple doesn't stop signing the older 11.0.0 just yet (unless the security flaw is widespread or critical) for the same reason because of people like you. People starts saying about "limitations" and such, how Apple doesn't let their users to "downgrade" their OS. But if they stopped signing 11.0 immediately, it would be a major security measurement and concern in my opinion. As the time passes again, when 11.0.2, 11.0.3... etc hits the market fixing more issues, when the time comes to fix another major security flaw, then Apple will stop signing the older 11.0 series firmware updates to stop people from downgrading their devices in order to restrict exploiting iPhones by downgrading to older iOS version. Apple is giving this little time-frame of one series (11.0 - 11.1, 12.0 - 12.1... etc) to avoid from their customers having a bad experience and to get less "limitations" blabbering I believe. Personally, I'd love if they stopped signing the previous iOS release as soon as a new release is issued, I bet Apple is; as well. But unfortunate reality is that we are living in a world where everything is judged by people with no brains. So, let's bear it with Apple... :) In short, "everything becomes vulnerable in future", yes. It's inevitable. The best you can do is release security updates patching the discovered vulnerabilities. And that's what Apple is doing, and they are doing a one damn fine job at it. (BTW, I'm on 7 Plus with iOS 11.1.2 as of this writing and I have no issues at all, everything works fine, even the battery life is good enough to last for a day, I'm a pretty heavy user)

You have just mentioned older versions of ios vulnerable....tell me why Apple had released them then if in future they would be going to become vulnerable. It means ios 11 or its sub-versions shall definitely become vulnerable in future if Apple releases newer versions post ios 11 or later. IOS 11 bears major ammendments and features in history of all its IOS’s....you may call it a benchmark or turning point after iOS 10.3.3. For this one reserves right to switch back to ios 10 upto 10.3.3 or former at any time if ios 11 is doing fine with their devices. In my post I have mentioned that Apple had stopped signing its older IPSW FIRMWARES prior to ios 11 after 5th October 2017. This means one could have downgraded one’s iPhone to older versions of iOS on or before 5th October 2017. It then means as per your post hackers or any other unauthorised personnel would have been able to exploit an iPhone just by downgrading to an older iOS (more vulnerable iOS version) till 5th October 2017. Has Apple officially allowed hackers or unauthorised personnel to do so till 5.10.2017 and then barring them all after it had stopped signing? Why Apple had opened that window for some period then closed it? Why such limitations? ios 11 or later till date has really devastated iPhones. This is proven. And mind it Apple is not going to take any step in resolving all these woes caused by ios 11. May be they are unaware Even Tim Cook is not knowing this. I am really amazed and shocked.

As per Apple support’s advice I restored my device(7+) to ios 11.1 with fresh and reserved copy of downloaded IPSW FIRMWARE on itunes. I got my phone dropped inside the commode flush in the washroom and it submerged inside the commode flush water for around 30 seconds or more as I didn't know that it had dropped from my pocket. I picket the phone, opened the tap water and washed it. Thanks to Almighty that water didn't damage the phone. I bought it last November. Unfortunately water damages are not covered in warranty.

  • Coming from a Galaxy S7 Edge Exynos Black, purchased the iPhone 7 Plus 128GB Jet Black. I'm quite pleased with the iPhone, it's my first one, and I didn't purchase it because the design, honestly, I wasn't impressed nor amused by it, here are my key findings. - Battery endurance surprised me, it beats my old S7 Edge (Exynos) even with a smaller battery, I must admit the S7 Edge has a better standby longevity and I could watch videos all day long, other than it, anything that used processing power the battery drained fast. - Camera is on par with the S7 Edge camera, maybe losing for the dark shots during the night but for indoor shots the iPhone flash is vastly superior. - Fingerprint scanner is nowhere comparable to the S7 Edge, iPhone 7+ unlocks without trouble the screen any time I want, I often found myself typing the PIN on the S7 Edge or getting locked out. - Bloatware on IOS is nonexistent, I had to constantly fight them on the Samsung phone by disabling Apps the would often self install after an update, including Google apps that I never asked for. - Sound quality is superior on the iPhone, it's also a better music player and plays nicer with my car buetooth, I hardly use the 3.5mm jack. - Durability wise I got the Jet Black not knowing it was scratch prone, but it's kinda cool to look at, nevertheless I put it in a case ASAP, the same case I used on the S7 Edge, the Spigen Neo-Hybrid series, the S7 looks a lot better but I could easily snap a good screen protector on the iPhone. The S7 screen got minor scratches in the first two months of use. - The screen: let's be honest, the S7 Edge screen is vastly superior even if the colors aren't accurate, the deep blacks really pay off for the over saturated colors, it was a rare but pleasant surprise to watch something on the S7 Edge. However the curved edges made the phone somewhat hard to handle at times, easy to slip and hard to get used to it without a proper case. - Other stuff: Coming from Android, I miss a few apps I purchased and some flexibility like a proper file manager, I used to tinker with my Android phones and the flash several roms, de-bloat them and make the phone faster. But Samsung made it a lot harder with Knox/Samsung Pay, vendors are kinda ruining the good old Android experience. It's hard to get used to IOS at the beginning, but my life is quite busy nowadays and I need something that just works.

Thing that I noticed about the iPhone 7/7+, anyone correct me if I am wrong, I hardly see any clear transparent casing(s). If you don't get a transparent casing, you'll only end up in showing the front side of your phone... which would either be black or white. Well unless you're not going to get a case for your phone.   • First thing you need to do is make sure that both Phones have the same iOS. Next is to connect your old phone to your pc and back it up via iTunes. Do a back up on to the computer, no need to have it done via iCloud. Me, I do two back ups. Once you're done with the back up, connect your new phone and then restore the back up.

  • You can't know if it breaks or not. From side or back drops, it won't be influenced, only little dents will be in the metal. It is still better protected than Galaxy S8 though, because that one also has a glass back. At a face down, the screen will break 50/50. There is also a small possibility that it breaks from side impacts because it uses 3D-glass which wraps around the edges and corners by a few millimeters. If you need a more durable phone, the iPhone SE (technically on par with 6s, but smaller) is more durable. But if you use a case which lips around the edges, you should be fine. The Apple leather case which I use on my 7 also does this. But for some people, it might be a little bit too thick and it is really expensive.

  • I had this phone, sold it... as am waiting for the nokia 9. (currently using the nokia 6) let me tell you a few things...... the optical zooming, well..,. it actually rarely uses it, specally at night it will not use it as the F.8 lens is too small for starters, so you can forget optical zoom all together (it will use the digital zoom) which is crap..... it actually needs it to be really bright and sunny for it to use optical zoom. second the F2.8 lens does not have optical image stabilizer and third it is not a real telephoto lens, they just called it that as a marketing thing... everything about the camera is just about marketing, except for the lens of F1.8 on the first lens. the sensor is still the same tiny sensor used on the iPhone 4,5,6 so basically I was really disappointed in this camera.... don't get me wrong, its a great phone and iOS 9 is great..... the camera is not that bad, but I've seen way better in this class range. ps: ive looked at all the meta data of the camera on a computer, so I know what I'm talking about. its a great phone... just the camera is not that good. its improved slightly, but not much.....

  • That's because they all have android, so in the end you bought everything from one company software-wise. And the specs of iPhone are way superior, for example their processors which are twice as big as their competitors. Even the almost 1 year old iPhone 7 with A10 fusion and old 16nm structure is faster than the just 3 months old Galaxy S8 with Exynos 8895 or SD835 which use newer 10nm structure. And that's because silicone costs money, and Apple has the money to pay some extra for their superior internals, same goes for the NVMe storage which is faster than UFS but also more expensive. I find androids highly superior to iPhones and I haven't "throwen" away a single Samsung or HTC phone I've owned after a mere two years. Also, they don't talk to other devices. I have an ASUS tablet, Sony VIO laptop and Samsung phone--and they all communicate with one another. My iPad doesn't communicate with any of these devices. This is the primary reason I hate Apple....you have to buy their products, and THEIR PRODUCTS ONLY in order to have all devices easily communicate with each other.

  • I have experienced iPhone 5s Plus before. Very disappointed cuz battery drains so fast. Due to that, I changed to iPhone 6s on their early released. Very dissapointed also, my phone dead after 1 year using of it. So I switch to Zenfone 3 Deluxe and I can say it's the perfect phone for me. Don't have any problems (except the battery drains fast but still acceptable due to 3000mAh). And now I have bought Galaxy S7 edge for my second phone. Still good, no lag and even problems Conclusion is every phone has their weakness on produce their phones.

The only reason why I have the S8 plus and not the Apple 7 plus is because of card expandability you cannot add more memory on a Iphone because no matter how big the internal drive may be it will never be enough especially if you take photos using your mobile device, an android device gives allows me to carry as many 256gb sd so do not have to worry consuming my internal hard drive .. the online storge which Apple offers will only work if you have stable internet and not many places have stable internet.   • Right now I have both s7 edge and iPhone 7 plus, for me 7 plus is very bad. Things I hated in iPhones: 1- Iphone's settings are not good. 2- features are less. 3- I can't download anything from browsers (like music, movies....etc) and I must have to use iTunes and pay money to use it(why do I need to pay money if I can listen to it for free). 4- even when editing videos i must add the music from iTunes not from any other app like google drive or anything else. 5- in camera app I can't change the resolution(there is no settings in it i cant imagine that) or even know what is the resolution of the photo in photos. 6-it doesn't have fast charging feature. 7- the back button is very anoyying every time I must move my hand upward and while using it in one hand I must put it on the table to return back every time and then hold it again. 8- it's very large comparing to s7 edge, I can barely put it in my pocket. 9-bluetooth is only for pairing watches and speakers so it is useless. 9- while zooming the photos you've taken with the camera, the photo details are less than in the s7 edge What I love in iPhone: 1-The fingerprint is more accurate. 2-it's speakers are little better 3- featering the apps are more classy In conclusion iPhones are for people who don't know anything about technology. I've used s7 edge for more than a year and iPhone 7 plus for 6 months so don't ever try to argue with me because that is the truth Apple fanboys.

  • Hi there, It all depends how much you are looking to store on your phone. IF you take a lot of pictures, have a lot of applications, or even store/listen to music on your mobile, I would suggest the higher storage. I am 22 years old, always had 16GB model Iphones and run out of space, so I went with the 32gb Iphone as I thought this would be sufficient as it's double. 6 months into my 24 month contract my storage is full. In hindsight, I wish I had got the 128GB Iphone 7 Plus. Also, camera is incredible :)

I have 128GB and only used 29.2GB until now, and I have many unused apps on my phone, but this makes me feel more free than always having to look at the available storage. Came from a 16GB iPhone 5 and it's a whole lot different

  • Not at all, 32GB space is not enough. I recommend 128GB if you wanna enjoy iPhone 7Plus. Otherwise, you will keep on getting low memory space warnings.

  • HI, can any one please help with my issue..i am using iphone7 plus (my first apple product) with airtel sim. i cant able to make outgoing call or sms while internet service is activated on my sim. it says insufficient balance to make calls but i have enough balance. while i call customer care they deactivated my internet services (that means amount of data usage detected from main balance, mobile data work fine with data pack) then my outgoing call work fine. but it both doesn't work simintaniously. hw to resolve this issues. please any one help me with this

  • Anyone using this phone mind telling me through exact battery life? Battery life is very important to me and on my Samsung A5 2016 with 2900mah battery also I can achieve 9hours screen on time while surfing or using my phone as usual and more than 10hours reading ebooks or watching videos. Can this phone achieve such screen on time? If yes then I would consider ip7+ maybe few years later when it's cheap. Or else I'll just stick to my Samsung battery life game.

  • Basically I love customizable phones. Thats the one and only reason I'm nt going for iphones. Iphone have unique performance and design which cannot be compared with other devices. Samsung are upgraded ones unlike Samsung, iphones r nt upgraded in tech. If iphones have bettr battery life, advanced tech, large display and also with beautiful design, then no doubt, no ones go for other fones.

  • Samsung, LG concerned by Apple's plans to replace OLED with micro-LED in 2017 Apple Watch 3, later iPhones By Daniel Eran Dilger Tuesday, April 25, 2017, 01:33 pm PT (04:33 pm ET) Later this year, Apple is expected to begin production of its advanced new power-efficient display technology known as micro-LED, which is expected to initially be used to replace OLED in Apple Watch Series 3. The shift is part of a series of moves that is concerning Samsung, LG and other South Korean suppliers. A recent report from Business Korea notes that Apple has been working with LuxVue (which it acquired in 2014) to develop new micro-LED screen production in the two years since the technology began gaining public attention in the summer of 2015. Micro-LED was called "the only potentially disruptive technology" in an industry trade show at the time, as reported by Ken Werner of Display Daily in interviewing Candice Brown-Elliott, the creator of the Pentile Matrix pixel configuration used in Samsung OLED panels. Werner added that "just as remarkable as this technology's potentially transformative nature is that micro LEDs (or microscale LEDs or µ-ILEDs) were not well known outside of the relatively small community of people who work on them before Apple acquired LuxVue last year, at which point a much wider community started scrambling to learn about them." This February, Apple was granted patents related to LuxVue and micro-LED, specifically detailing the inclusion of sensing Infrared diodes with the ability to read fingerprints on the surface of the display, a technology that would enable incorporating Touch ID functionality into the screen itself. Rumored iPhone 8 designs later this year are expected to use similar technology—or potentially a glass surface that acts as a lens to refract fingerprint images through a display to an optical sensor below it—to erase the need for a dedicated Touch ID sensor on the front bezel of future iPhones. However, the technology also conceptually enables the prospect of future Apple Watch models gaining the ability to read fingerprints on its screen. The difficulty of producing micro-LED panels indicates that the new technology isn't yet capable of yielding large screen iPhone displays, but could get there over the next couple years. That makes Apple Watch a more ideal candidate for pioneering adoption of micro-LED, something that was already being rumored last summer. The potential use of micro-LED in Apple Watch 3 would help fund and perfect the production of larger micro-LED screens suitable for use in iPhones, meaning that Apple's expected use of Samsung OLED screens for a new iPhone model this year may only be temporary. Further, even before Apple moves away from OLED, it's likely to switch from Samsung OLEDs to OLED production from China, Business Korea stated. In addition to the loss of a billion dollars worth of OLED screens, Samsung and LG are also increasingly concerned that Apple will start sourcing its RAM and cameras elsewhere, too. Apple is reportedly in talks to acquire Toshiba's memory business for itself, ending nearly two decades of being among Samsung's largest RAM customers. Business Korea stated that Apple's increasing efforts to develop its own components and diversify suppliers would have a serious impact on the nation's industry. Apple current buys $2.63 billion in components from South Korea, but the country's "prosperity from Apple is highly likely to end in two to three years," in large part due to competition from China in semiconductors and displays.

  • I have a SGS7 Edge and it looks indeed slick, but ergonomics wise, it is a nightmare. Keeping the curved edge on SGS8 is the way for something to get burned again.

  • Of course... Since first iPhone... Actually, there are not many things changed outside... Still same ugly design all 10 years... Look at Samsung Galaxy models... There are no equal to S6/S7/S8 models, excellent and brand new designs on each phone. But every iPhone, tiny bit different than previous model. And I still remember when Apple calls big phones are ugly and not necessary... So kind of turning back, while forgetting the past. Not only master thief Apple must be, also a good liar.
